Cyle sat alone, just the way he liked it.
He had recently arrived at the Starbase, and knew almost immediatly, this was a happy place. He would not fit in well here. He hated happy places, and his grim expression showed it.
The lounge workers stayed away from him, and the tables around him soon emptied, simply becuase Cyle kept staring at them. In front of him sat a cup, filled to the brim with water. He never drank from it, just continued to look at it, watching.
His father and forced him to join, forced him to be cold, and hard. His father was a drunk, and spent every ounce of his energy, making money to buy liquer. His mother was a skank, and gave the money she earned to his father, or rather, he took it from her.
He grew up on the streets, always wearing a bruise from someone. his eyes were a cold steel, keeping any and all emotion hiden from everyone, on the streets, emotions got you gutted.
Cyle gaze was taken from his glass of water, when he saw somone actually approach him. "what?" he said in a gruff, blunt voice

"You seem to have scared everyone off," the stranger said.
"Not everyone," Cyle muttered, but purposefully loud enough to be heard.
"Nope, not everyone," said the intruder in a red Starfleet uniform as he sat down. "I don't scare easily."
"Hmf."
"You don't seem to be much of a people person, Mr. Johnson," the man pointed out.
"You don't say..." Cyle shot back sarcastically, looking him in the eye for the first time. This annoyingly forward stranger was rather tall and muscular, with broad shoulders, a short haircut, and various metal implants on his face and neck. Cyle couldn't help notice, too, the five shiny gold pips lined up along the man's collar.
Cyle looked away, then sharply back and glared at the stranger. "Wait, how'd you know my name?"
"It's my job to know." He stuck out his hand, though he didn't really expect this gruff cadet to accept the gesture, and introduced himself: "Commodore ONE, Academy Commandant and Starbase CO."

Cyle looked at the commandants hand, then glared up at him. " nice to meet ya" he muttered, "since you know my name, you wont mind if i dont jump out of my seat to speak with ya"
Cyle went back to looking at his glass, something about the way water would form in a glass, kept him from getting angry.
He watched as the commodore sat down across from him, and accidently bumping the table, causing some of the water to spill over.
Cyle gaze shifted from the spilt water to the commadant. He kept his mouth shut, knowing better than to insult someone of higher authority, in the only place that had accepted him for who he was.
OFF, dont mind me, just the char i play is all, trying something new

Zhukarak was sitting in the back, out of sight out of mind. He occasionally wanted to know when new marine cadets were at the Academy. Of course he could just request a list, but it wasn't enough. He liked to shuttle over to SB Conqueror, when his ship was in dock at the Assailant, and see the cadets himself.
His security clearance gave him the ability to track down cadets by looking up their bio signature. Zhuk found this one sitting here. He had already read his file, and Zhuk could see that the history in it reflected the temperament the cadet was displaying.
Even in the presence of high ranking authority, as Commodore One sat down with him, this cadet continued to displayed his lack of respect for authority. Zhukarak saw the look in those eyes when the Commodore spilt that water.
Zhuk just knew that the Commodore could handle this situation, but it was going to take another marine to get through to THAT marine. Zhuk got up and walked the twenty meters it took for him to get there.
"Excuse me Commodore, if I may. Cadet Johnson, would you please get up and come with me?"
The cadet looked at Zhuk in defiance. "Excuse me?"
Zhuk knew the nice approach wasn't going to work, but he had given him the chance. "You are a marine, aren't you?"
"I'm sure as hell am planning on being one." He remarked with a sense of authority.
"No! the moment you put on that uniform, you are one. Therfor I had not made a suggestion, but an order. Get up and come with me."
Zhuk could see the dilemma he had put on the young man. If he was the marine that he wanted to be, then he had no choice but to follow the order. If he wanted to continue being defiant, then he wouldn't be the marine he was indicating he wanted to be. Cadet Johnson, realizing that he came here for a reason, finally got up and followed Zhuk.
Zhuk merely took him outside of the establishment and turned to him so that they were face to face.
"Stand at attention, marine, and listen good." Cyle complied. "I know that you chose to be here for a reason. You even made a wiser choice by becoming a marine and not a regular fleeter, like the rest of the 95 percent of the people here in this sector. That says something about you. I expect you to give your best and be your best. When the time comes, I don't have a problem of you questioning authority when it is warranted, as I'm sure you will, but I expect you to respect such authority no matter what. Do you understand?"
"Yes!"
"Yes, what?"
"Yes, sir!"
"Good! Now stand at ease, and relax." Cadet Johnson let loose of his shoulders a little and put his hands behind his back.
Zhuk continued in a more informal tone now. "You'll learn quickly around here, in order to get a little respect you have to be able to give it. I'm already looking forward to your graduation, maybe I'll even be pushing for you to join my ship. That's all I have for now. Carry on."
Zhuk went back inside the establishment, since he had realized that he was quite hungry now. When that sense of hunger set in, and that feeling entered his mind, *poof* Theel'zhiin appeared on his left shoulder, ready to partake of a delicious meal.

"Yes, sir" Cyle said, alittle confused, but also alittle happy. There was man who demand Cyle respsect, and Cyle was gonna give it to him. Very few other people had the guts to say something like that, even if there wre Commodores.
" i like him" Cyle said, a bit out loud, but soft enough for only the ones next to him to hear
