Angel was sad to see Jason go, but she knew he had to. She hoped he would return to her, and change the future in doing so.
She looked around their quarters, and realized that things were a big mess. While she had unpacked from their trip, she noticed his stuff was everywhere! ~Well, looks like its time for me to play housewife. I just hope he doesn't get upset if he can't find anything.~ Angel thought wondering if they had the same thoughts on order of possessions. ~Well I will find out when he returns.~
Angel got to work quickly, and found the place looked better. She found three of his shirts. One was green with a rip in it. Taking out her small sewing kit, she patched it up and hung it in the closet. She turned back to view the other, both being Hawaiian style. She saw the one, and thought it was alright, putting it in the closet.
Angel couldn't believe the next shirt. ~How could anyone own something so ugly?~ Angel decided it best to donate the shirt to some bachelor, hoping that it would help him more than Jason.
After a bit of cleaning, Angel decided it was time to go look at the Abyss, her new place.
Angel had reached the promenade, and took out the padd saying where it was. She sighed and started to walk around remembering this place from when she was in the academy as a cadet and when she was an instructor on the Hanson last. Angel found it wasn't easy to get around the crowds there.
She wondered what else could be on this deck that caused the crowd, but didn't have to wonder long. It seemed there was a shop called the Starburst was there, and she knew where she was headed now. ~A few sections more, and I will be at my shop.~ Angel thought very happy.
Angel made it to section 10 on this deck, and she saw the entrace, and then entered her access code opening it for the day. "A little work won't kill me, just as long as I am careful."
Angel walked in and saw things were already set up. She commanded the computer to open the doors and to leave them open. "Now the fun begins," she said as a group strolled in.
"Hello, we are looking for some work, so we can stay here. Would you allow us to work for you?" one of the ladies said, and Angel smiled.
"Of course, I could use the help. I will need someone to run the arcade, and someone to run the theater. I will need a couple of cooks in the kitchen. A waitress or waiter to check on the tables and a bus boy for anyone who might leave something behind and to wipe the tables. Your group is big enough. I will also need someone behind the counter at all times. I won't be able to always run this place," she said and the lady smiled.
"We will happily help you here. We only wish to stay on the base, and this is the only way we figure we can do so. Just tell us who you wish where," she said and introduced them all.
"I am Angel Reynolds. I wish Rey to run the arcade, Aran to run the theater. Your other son and your husband can be the cooks. Jee can be the bus boy, and you Leute, can stand behind the counter and tend to customers. Oh I forgot my shop. I need someone to run the shop and help customers," she said and a young woman came in.
"Ara you are late. She can run your store?" Leute asked, and Angel smiled.
"Yes she can, Leute go behind the counter, if anyone comes, offer a menu. We are new, so they won't know what we have to eat. Take their order and give it to those waiting in the kitchen, your husband and son, they will make the order. Leute, you can inform them of the arcade and the theater as they enter. I have signs posted already saying where things are. Ara, you will be in the shop over there. You help customers find what they need, and help them purchase it. We accept latinum and only that. If you have a problem, contact me through my commbadge," she informed, and all four of them disappeared immediately with only a curt nod before they left.
"If you will follow me, I will show you where you will be working," she said and walked for a bit with them in tow. It took a bit to go from section 10 to section 15.
"This is the theater. Inside people will watch movies. You will make sure the movie runs smoothly, and if anyone has a problem, notify me the same way I told Ara," she said and he disappeared. She told the other two to wait outside. Inside Angel showed him how to run the projector and showed him when the scheduled times were to run the projector. She then went back outside.
Angel commanded that they follow her again, and she walked to the north side of section 15.
"This is the arcade. Anyone can come in, and anyone can play. You will make sure eveyone plays happily. The arcade has all kinds of games, and no one should be unhappy. If someone gets lost, you are to help them unless they ask for me. Then you will contact me..." she was saying and he put his hand up for her to stop.
"I will contact you by way of your commbadge. I have that much, is there anything else I should know?" Rey said quickly cutting her off.
"Yes, there is one more thing. If there is a little fight break it up. If it is a big fight, call security in here immediately. That is all," she said and he gave a nod before heading inside. Angel smiled. ~They are as ready as I can make them.~ She thought, and turned back to Jee.
"Now for you, come with me, we will get you your apron and dish cart. Your job is very easy," she said and he smiled as they walked back to the counter.
A few minutes later he had his apron on, and knew what his job was. He took his cart and waited by one of the openings sitting on the stairs waiting for some customers to come in. Angel took her place behind the counter, putting an apron on herself. She handed one to Leute.
"Now we wait."
