Jason had just returned from his assignment on the Hanson. Like always it turned out differently than they had hoped. Dealing with spies, murder, and possibility of an all out war were the principle reasons he left the main fleet. He had thought that the Academy would offer him some challenges, but nothing that could have far out reaching consequences. These thoughts plagued him constanlty except when he was in the company of his family. He would see them shortly only if he wasn't lost.
After looking like a fool for twenty minutes, Jason finally gave up and asked the computer for directions. When he finally saw the directions he couldn't help but feel like a complete idiot. He had passed the cooridor about ten times already. As he propped his duffle bag onto his shoulder he couldn't help but feel happy. He hadn't seen his boys or wife in weeks. He had sorely missed them and would want to spend all of his time with them.
When he walked into his quarters he was surprised that it was quiet. It was 0100, usually the boys would be cooing and crying at the moment. Jason quietly placed his bags on the floor and headed towards the bedroom where he found his family sleeping. Not wanting to wake them, he very carefully laid down next to them and watched them sleep.
In a matter of minutes sleep overtook him as well.

Angel woke the next morning, and went to make breakfast not even noticing her husband. She had created something good for herself and made sure the mat was down for what the boys would spill.
Suddenly she heard her boys screaming. She ran back into the bedroom and noticed they were scared of the strange man next to them. She laughed, then turned to the boys.
"This is your daddy," Angel said to them and kissed her husband. She noticed he was eyeing the twins, who were now old enough to crawl around the rooms creating chaos as they went. She remembered cleaning the quarters up last night before she went to bed hoping the next day would be better. She wasn't expecting Jason home.
"Welcome home, dear. You remember your sons, well they have grown as boys often do. Your mother was here last week, but couldn't stay for long. She had to get back to her ship. I think a vacation would do that woman some good, but she won't listen to me. Maybe you should talk to her," Angel said remembering she had some things to say to him. She decided to wait instead of spring her feelings on him.
"Breakfast is ready, and then a b-a-t-h for the boys. Please don't say it, they won't go if they actually hear the word. Something I'm sure is famous in your genes, can't be mine," she said and picked up both boys before heading to the table. She put them in their high chairs and put their plates in front of them knowing a mess would come.

Jason hadn't felt this comfortable in a very long time. Before he knew it he felt his eyes flutter open. He immediately noticed that his wife was no longer in the bedroom, but in the kitchen. This allowed Jason some alone time with his children. They had grown up so much, he could barely recognize them.
It didn't take them long to wake up and immeidately began to weep. Jason didn't know the reason for there weeping and tried to comfort them to no avail. It wasn't until there mother returned did they calm down.

Jason was purplexed and concerned. He had never known Angel to be a hello and leave type of person. His children didn't even remember him anymore. He told himself that it was inevitable and joined his wife and children.
"How have you been?" Jason asked as he kneeled down to his children and tried to feed them.

She noticed he was a little surprised with how things were, but Angel remembered that if the boys didn't get food they would start to scream.
"Things are okay here. My sign finally came, and is now up. We have some customers, but not doing as good as the rest of the restaurants around here. The boys will be going to preschool soon, so we will have some time to ourselves," she said smiling.
After breakfast and a fight to bathe the boys, Angel watched as the next door neighbor took them to preschool along with her boys. She turned to Jason.
"Alright, now its just us. Are you okay? You seemed dazed when you first saw me with the boys this morning. I wouldn't have dashed away at breakfast time, but if they don't get their food they scream. Something I'm sure comes from my side. I missed you," she said and kissed him again. She leaned against him happy he was home. ~But for how long?~ She thought.
"Dear, when will you be leaving again? Do you really have to go? I don't like it when you are away, I miss you too much. The boys aren't getting to know their father either," she said finally speaking her mind.

He wanted to give her the answer they both wanted, but they both knew what he was going to say. Instead of saying it out loud he hugged his wife wanting to be closer to her. He had already recieved his orders to report to the Hanson.
"I will just have to spend all the time I can with you guys when I'm here," Jason said as he picked up Alexander, who had now become comfortable with his presence. "Honey why don't we take a walk with boys, give them a nap and then spend some time together?"

"That sounds like a good idea. I also think we should plan a vacation. We both work, and I bet the boys would love to spend more time with you," she said and got the boys ready for a walk.
They had been out for about ten minutes and were waiting for the turbolift to take them to another deck. Jason didn't tell her where he was taking them.
"Are you sure you want to surprise us?" she asked and noticed he only smiled.
