Jack stepped of the Vulcan transport ship that had taken him to his new home. He looked around and saw the loading dock was very busy. He turned to his friend Teran and studied his Vulcan features before saying.
"I will miss you my friend thankyou for taking the trip with me"
Teran looked at him and said
"It was logical to do so I have work to do in a near by system"
Jack smiled others may have been offended by the remark but Jack had known Teran for the last few years since Jack lost his wife Stacey. Teran had helped him cope teaching him meditation techniques and other Vulcan tricks to deal with emotions. Jack looked his friend in his eyes and said.
"I will keep in touch I hope you will too"
Teran replied "Yes I will" He held up his hand in the signature Vulcan sign and said "Live long and prosper"
Jack did the same and said. "Peace and long life" Jack reached up and hugged the Vulcan somewhat catching Teran by surprise. After letting go Jack smiled and walked away.
After unpacking and setting up his quarters Jack decided to go to the promenade of the station and explore the restaurants and bars. After he left the turbolift he was amazed by how busy the promenade was he was sure he looked lost and he felt very silly. Jack looked around and walked up to a computer console and was about to call up a map of the promenade when someone walked up to him

The older looking Cadet was a sight for sore eyes. Kayla hadn't seen many Cadets around the Promenade lately. They must have gotten word of the Hepta's previous mission. It was a miracle that the ship even returned after what transpired.
Kayla always heard everything in the bakery where she waited on tables. Information traveled at Warp 9 through the mouths of the Starbase dwellers. Of course, she didn't help that fact much. She would pass along information she overheard if it meant there was a chance to talk to the many people passing through. She lived a lonely life for being the beautiful Bajoran girl she was.
The Klingon Cadets were too forceful. She rubbed her wrist in remembrance of the last Dabo table job she had where she was forcefully grabbed by the Klingon. The aggression she gave back ultimately lost her the job, thus landing her in search of pay on Starbase Conqueror.
Vulcan and Romulan Cadets never shown interest in her. They were wrapped up in plots- either logical endeavors, or personal gain, as each race was heavily skewed in a certain motivation.
"What are you looking for? Maybe I can help" she said, crinkling her nose ridges as she smiled. "Are you new here?"
This Cadet was human. Humans seemed the most well rounded of Cadets that she had met, and even though she would find out later that he was seven years her elder- she still found newcomers interesting, and this one in particular was passively asking for help.

Jack Turned as he heard a young women say.
"What are you looking for? Maybe I can help" She smiled before saying. "Are you new here?"
Jack noticed she was Bajoran He had always been fond of the Bajorans and their culture as he had spent sometime on Bajor before his trip to the Gamma quadrant through the wormhole near Deep Space Nine. Jack felt the pain as he remembered that fateful trip on which he lost his wife he tried to shield the emotion from his face but he knew for a second he looked on the brink of tears. Jack took a deep breath and smiled at the attractive Bajoran before saying.
“Hi my name is Jack Crane I just got here and I thought I would explore the starbase before my lessons begin”
<Tag Tiara Kayla>
“Well it is a pleasure to meet you Kayla I hope you don’t mind me using your first name”
<Tag Tiara Kayla>
“I have a couple of hours free would you like to join me for a cup of coffee although I am afraid you will need to choose the location as I have no idea where I am and I was never good at reading maps. Lucky for my patients people don’t come with maps”
Jack smiled hoping that he had met someone with a sense of humour after spending so much time on Vulcan he needed a good laugh.

"I would take you to Tante Maria's Bakery" she said, clearly weighing the options, "but the coffee is not that great there, and I work there. I really do not want to go in there when I do not have to. And yes, you can call me Kayla." she giggled. The cadet seemed charming, and she enjoyed his wit. She thought for a minute. "Umm...", twirling her hair with a finger, "how about the Starquake? They have good coffee there, and are very friendly... well, most everyone that is." The last time Tiara Kayla was in the Starquake, a fight between her and another Bajoran waitress ended in her refusing to enter the place again while the waitress was there. Her name was Teera Kayle, eerily close to her name, and eerily close in mannerisms. They had become friends for a short week, but ultimately, fighting over who would get to sit and talk with a marine that walked into the coffee house turned into a bitter feud. Kayle did not work today, Kayla was sure of it... the Starquake would be an excellent choice. "So what are you training for?" It was a question to end the quietness on the walk to the shop. The Bajoran girl didn't really have much of an interest in what he was training in. She just knew that most people liked to talk about their profession, and it was an easy way to break the ice. Within a few minutes they arrived at the Starquake, greeted by a Ferengi. "The name's Lexan," he said, shoving out his short stubby hand to the Cadet. He snubbed Kayla. "What brings you here? Welcome to the cafe. Can I interest you in a coffee?" A rumbling voice came from behind the wall leading to the main kitchen. "LEXAN!" "Don't mind him, he's always grumpy. Doesn't drink enough of his own coffee. Or maybe he drinks too much?" He grabbed Kayla's hand and motioned for the Cadet to follow as he pulled them through the arboretum to some seats. Kayla looked back at Jack the entire time, fearing where she was being taken, and in disgust for the grimy hands that were holding her wrist. "Here we go... great seats! He put his hand, clearly waiting for some sort of monetary gratuity. Before the two could even register what was going on, Julian Dracopoulis came out of the back room with a rage. "Get out of here! You've scared enough customers for one day." he yelled at the Ferengi. "That's no way to treat a thirty percent partner in your business." he replied, indignant. "You are not a thirty percent partner Lexan, and you know it." He looked at the two, now sitting, and rolled his eyes. It was clear that this was an ongoing argument. "Twenty percent?" he queried bravely. "Zero percent! Now get!" The demoralized Ferengi left, taking a coffee mug and napkin with him. "I swear, with all the stuff he takes when he leaves, he probably does own thirty percent of my place." the two joined him in laughing. Kayla turned to Jack, "Do you know what you want? Their main drink here is the Starquake. I can't drink it, though, otherwise I'll never get any sleep." "It has a lot of stimulants in it," Julian added after Kayla finished. "I think I'll just have a Bajoran Nectar Tea." she shrugged, looking at the Cadet. "It's supposed to be good for your complexion." "And what will you be having sir," Julian asked Jack.

After inviting Kayla to join him for a coffee she suggested the try the Starquake coffee house. During the silent walk there Tiara Kayla asked
"So what are you training for?"
Jack could sense she was trying to break the silence so he answered her trying to make his answer different than the ones she had heard before probably a thousand time. Jack smiled at her and said
"Well I am already trained as a Doctor of medicine I am basically here to learn Starfleet rules and regulations I was a bit nervous coming to the academy at first because a lot of the other cadets will be younger than I am, I don’t like the idea of being the grandad of the class"
Jack was only twenty six but he knew most of the other cadets will be about the age of twenty.
As they entered the Starquake coffee house they were greeted by a stocky Ferengi who immediately dragged Kayla to a table in the arboretum.
After a human male came out of the kitchen area and chased the Ferengi off he took Kayla’s order and asked for his. Kayla had mentioned a drink called the Starquake no doubt named after the establishment. Kayla had mentioned she could not drink it because it kept her up all night this had peaked his interest.
“I would like the Starquest please it sounds interesting"
The man who had chased the Ferengi off turned out to be the owner Julian replied with a smile
"Oh it is interesting although it is only one per day per customer otherwise people get addicted to the boost”
Jack smiled at the owner and said
“I will keep that in mind"
Julian walked off to get Jack and Kayla’s order. When he got back he was carrying the drinks and a Ferengi PADD Jack got up and placed his thumb on the PADD authorising payment from his bank account. Jack sat down and looked at the young Bajoran sitting across from him and asked.
“So what brings you so far from Bajor?”
As she began to answer Jack could not help but be overwhelmed by the breathtaking plants and flowers in the garden after spending a month on a Vulcan transport to get him here he was glad to see real flowers.

Sharon, had just arrived on the starbase from the academy, she only had to wait on the ship she would be placed on as a acting ensign. She looked forward to meeting new people and working on the new starships. She knew about Captain Archer and the USS Enterprise and its crew had made history. She found a diner and had a seat.
The Waitress came over and took her order, she stuck with a salad and ice water, she liked keeping slim, she was not built for bulk, so she stuck to a strict diet, someone came in she recognized.
"Sharon, I did not expect to fiond you here." Said Talla.
Sharon got up and they hugged, Sharon knew Talla from High school, Talla had been a year ahead of her, and went to the academy, so she was a year ahead of her.
"Hey Talla, nice to see you, Im just waiting on my first assignment as a acting ensign." Sharon said.

The long story how she arrived on the Starbase was not something she wished to discuss, but since Jack had asked politely, she capitulated. Kayla started in the middle of her childhood, bypassing the death of her mother by a few years.
"Father had a lot of odd jobs throughout this sector," she started. "I was often left with a friend, or nanny, as he didn't have time to take care of me and work. He tried his best though," she looked down at the table the entire time she was telling the story. Her gaze ultimately fixed on the tea cup she was holding. Kayla's eyes were lost in the swirling liquid.
A few minutes had passed, and she was still watching the swirling tea as she told her story.
"...and then I ended up on a Starbase as a Dabo girl, trying to raise money for father's release." The story had elongated past the details of her father's incarceration by now, and she had not been stopped. She didn't wish to revisit that part of the story. It was hard enough telling it without interruption. The Bajoran girl was thankful she didn't have to rehash it for the Cadet.
"Then I got fired from that after slapping a Klingon." this was the first time she actually smiled throughout the story. "I got kicked off the Starbase for that, and came here."
She shrugged. "Now I work at the bakery, and try to save up enough money to pay my father's jail bond." She had a long way to go, though, and no matter how much the Cadet questioned, she wouldn't divulge anymore about the circumstances surrounding her father.
Kayla was about to ask Jack about why he thought of joining Starfleet when she noticed the glance of a female officer sitting at a table across from her. Whether it was intentional, or merely a glance at her surroundings, the Bajoran took it as an intrusion.
The girl was skinnier than Kayla, with red hair that flowed past the shoulders. As she turned her head it bounced, each bounce infuriating Kayla internally. She would be clearly smarter than Kayla, being an officer of some sort... and now she was trying to attract the attention of her Cadet.
Unfortunately for everyone, Kayla wasn't rational about the situation... and whether or not the new girl, who was now hugging someone she had caught the attention of, was plotting a takeover was inconclusive. To an outsider looking in, the idea would be preposterous. Crisis was diverted for now, but Kayla would rather have the upper hand in the situation, and thus forced the situation.
"Why don't the two of you join us?" she asked, sliding a couple of chairs around. Her gaze did not leave Jack, however, as she was making it quite clear that he was still her main interest. She would make small talk with the girls, perhaps giving them their fill of this Cadet... and then hopefully they would be on their way.

Sharon had not noticed the other two cadets when one asked her and Talla to join them, she recognized one as a bajoran.
"Sure why not. I' am Sharon Wolf this is my friend Talla." Sharon said
After the introductions were made, it dawned on Sharon that she had caught the eye of the guy Jack and Taira, was not to happy about it. Sharon could tell she was holding back, Sharon tried to think of a way out of this but she and Talla had every right to be there as they did.
"I think we should leave these two lovebirds Talla." Sharon whispered to Talla.
They soon excused themselves, but as they walked away she could feel the girls eyes on her, Sharon shrugged, she did not like confrontation, would prefer to make friends then enemies.

Jack listened to Kayla’s story as she spoke Jack noticed she was looking down the whole time. He was no counselor but he knew she was uncomfortable with the story and Jack regretted asking the question now. Kayla finished her story and looked as if she was about to say something when something caught her eye Jack turned around in his chair to see what it was. Jack saw two cadets who had just entered the establishment they had noticed Jack and Kayla looking at them and Kayla asked them to join the table but as she did jack noticed Kayla never stopped looking at him. The two cadets introduced themselves. And they shared small talk for a while when the tension at the table seemed to reach new heights. The cadet with the red hair whom he had learned was Sharon Wolf whispered something in her friend’s ear Jack couldn’t make out what she said but the two cadets excused themselves from the table and walked away. Jack looked back at Tiara Kayla smiled and said.
“That was odd”
Jack thought before he said anything else he did not want to ask any questions that would make Kayla uncomfortable. Jack thought of a question that he hoped would not make her relive any unwanted memories.
“I guess you get to meet a lot of interesting people on this station”
Jack smiled nervously hoping that he had not hit another nerve in Kayla.

The girls were friendly, much to the surprise of Kayla, but the jealous nerve in her body had been plucked, and it still resonated throughout. It had been dampened by the encounter, enough for her concentration to be put back onto the Cadet.
"I do meet a lot of interesting people, now that you mention it." Her tea had been finished for awhile now and she no longer stared at the fluid that floated randomly around the cup. Instead, her attitude had perked up, and her nose crinkled as she searched her brain for an interesting story.
"When I first came here, I sat at a table with a couple of marines. One of them was pretty old, in fact he was Andorian." She used her index fingers to pretend she had antennae. She giggled. "He was cute, but old."
Forgetting the point of her story, she moved on to another person she remembered seeing. "There was a Denobulan Doctor that used to be an instructor around here. I don't know what happened to her." people came and went all of the time, and it wasn't uncommon to see someone for weeks in a row, and then never see them again. "...seemed nice though."
She took a drink of the cup of tea that Julian just had left at the table for her, noting the girl's was empty. "Oh, how could I forget! The Ferengi!"
Lexan came from nowhere, "yes?"
"Not you!" Kayla said. "That other one that was here last year."
"Nack... he was no Ferengi. He was too human. Turned a blind eye to profit at every corner. Infidel..." Lexan kept mumbling as he again left before Julian could find him and kick him out again.
"Yea... Nack. He had a business selling stupid little items... and vegetables too." Kayla was not privy to all the information, as she had just arrived on the Starbase at the height of his supposed shenanigans. "All I know was, he was a weird... and was in Starfleet! Can you believe it?" Laughing she added, "are you sure you know what kind of organization you are signing up for here?"
She stuck her tongue slightly and crinkled her nose, teasing Cadet Crane. "What's the weirdest you've seen?"

After the two cadets left Kayla told Jack about some of the interesting people she had met on the starbase. "Are you sure you know what kind of organization you are signing up for here?" Kayla Said.
She stuck her tongue slightly and crinkled her nose, teasing Cadet Crane. "What's the weirdest you've seen?" Kayla asked. Jack smiled back at her teasing and thought about the weirdest person he had met in his travels. Jack looked at Kayla and widened his smile before replying. “I once met a klingon who cared nothing for honor and A Vulcan who embraced emotion” Jack laughed as he remembered T’ral the emotion feeling Vulcan who had a sense of humour. “But apart from that I have not met anyone interesting” “Have you ever thought about joining Starfleet” <Tag Kayla>

Cadet Marcus wanted a coffee yet he wasn't in the mood to go into the bakery so instead he went to the starquake. entering the place he walked up to the counter ans ordered a coffee and a sandwich. heading to a table in the back he sat down and faced the door to see if anyone would come in.
As he read from his padd he felt eyes on him. looking up he found himself looking as a officer in a red uniform. standing Marcus replied " Hello Sir, Can i help you?" the officer replied "no Cadet i was just passing by but thank you for checking." Marcus looked around and saw Cadet crane talking to another person He headed over and asked " Hello can i join you?"

"Everyone always asks me that!" giving him a soft smack on the shoulder with the back of her hand. Had she been serious, it could have been harder.
"I give everyone the same answer. 'Too much work'."
Anyone knowing Tiara Kayla would know that she was never adverse to work, and thus would know that her response was a complete fabrication of the truth. She had never been good at schooling, especially since father and her had to move from star system to star system for work. She found herself learning how to live life on Starbases and cities.
It was amazing, in fact, that Kayla had never really been overcome by a life of crime. With the exception of the events leading up to her father's arrest by Orion officials, they had lived a relatively clean life. Sure, she had her share of begging for food at times... but that was only for a short period of time, when Kayla was younger. The skill to survive even when the odds were mounted against her were deeply ingrained. She had made it thus far, and didn't need schooling, starfleet, or any special training to do so.
Academics weren't a priority, therefore, and thus any hope of joining anything post parochial schooling would require a lot of catching up, which in turn took time. Time is not something she had a whole lot of. Kayla had to earn money, not waste profitable days with her nose in a book.
Sitting in bakeries and coffee houses detracted slightly from the income stream, but she had a life to lead of her own, and father said he understood.
Causing a pause in the conversation, a Cadet arrived, introducing himself to Jack Crane and Kayla. The cadets had crossed paths coming in and out of an office on duty- at least that's what Jake Marcus said, as he introduced himself. Two male cadets now joined her in the coffee house. How exciting!
"Sure," Kayla said, moving one of the two empty chairs out to accommodate. "The more the merrier." Her warm gaze laid upon him, and back to Jack. It had trouble deciding whom to ultimately land upon.
"And what are you training in?" she asked Jake. "Jack is going to be a ship doctor." and, to validate her earlier statement, "that would be too much studying for me."
She smiled waiting for the answer.

They both answered and Marcus called over the waiter"I'll Have another coffee like this one." Turning back to the two he asked "so what brings you to here the doctor i know why already but how about you Kayla?"
He listened with intent as she told him about how she came to the Starbase then she asked him what brings him there. "Well" Marcus started " My mother was in starfleet she is retired and my father is serving aboard the USS Dallas so i guess you could say it's a family career. How about you Doctor?"

Jack was listening to Kayla as she explained why she didn’t want to enter Starfleet. Just after she finished a cadet Jack had met earlier joined them his name was Jake Marcus Jack asked the waiter that Jake called over for a cup of Vulcan mint tea after the waiter left Jake explained why he had joined Starfleet saying it was in his family Jake then turned and looked at Jake and said.
“How about you Doctor?"
Jack smiled at Jake and said.
“Call me Jack”
Jack then thought for a moment before answering Jake’s question, Jack was contemplating lying about his reasons but then deciding against it.
“Well I wasn’t going to enter Starfleet at first me and my wife Stacey she was an archaeologist by the way”
Jack paused for a moment and thought about his wife before continuing.
“We were planning on exploring the Delta quadrant Stacey was fascinated with the journey of Admiral Janeway and the U.S.S Voyager. Anyway I was working in the Gamma quadrant treating people for a small fee so we could buy our own small ship off a Ferengi dealer so we could travel into the Delta quadrant but my wife caught a virus in the Gamma quadrant and I was unable to cure her before she died. I was about to give up medicine altogether when Stacey’s mother convinced me to go back to medicine and help other people. I went to Vulcan and studied there for two years when I got the idea Starfleet could help me help others.
After Jack finished the waiter returned an placed the drinks on the table and took the empty cups away Jack thanked the waiter and placed his thumb on the Ferengi PADD to pay for the drinks after the waiter left Jack turned to Jake and asked.
“Where were you born Jake?”

Now it was Jake's turn to smile " Well i was born on earth on the east coast of north America." Sipping his coffee He thought a little more just how much does he tell them. He was here to be open with people. " Long island, New York." He added after a few minutes.
"My parents are both in starfleet."Marcus continued "One active one retired. My father is serving on board the USS Dallas. So you know were my mother is." He smiled. "You said your wife and i am sorry if i bring up a sore subject was fascinated with Admiral Janeway i know her she is a family friend of ours. My mother served with her on her first posting on the USS Al-Batani. My mother was her department head." After Voyager was Lost My mom's ship the USS Avon a nova class ship was sent to investigate the area were he ship was last see. How shocked was my Mom when Voyager's EMH appeared years later to tell Starfleet what happened to them. She informed me i was accepted to the academy. So you know i am in trouble." Marcus laughed at the last comment but he saw the comment lost on Kayla.
Changing the subject Marcus decided "Have any of you heard anything about the training ships stationed here?"Marcus looked around " I have a friend who trained on the USS Hepta we were supposeto train together but i saw ill so i arrived late."

Jake smiled as he said.
“Well I was born on earth on the east coast of north America."
Jack noticed that Jake paused and thought about something before continuing to say.
“Long island, New York."
Jack picked up his Vulcan mint tea and took a sip and thought about the taste. He had grown fond of Vulcan tea in the past few years helped calm the nerves he needed it after the powerful effects of the Starquake drink. Jake continued to say.
"My parents are both in Starfleet. One active one retired. My father is serving on board the USS Dallas. So you know were my mother is. You said your wife and I am sorry if I bring up a sore subject was fascinated with Admiral Janeway I know her she is a family friend of ours. "Have any of you heard anything about the training ships stationed here?"
Jack laughed at Jake’s Janeway statement before smiling and saying.
“It’s not a sore subject my wife would have loved to have met you she probably would have drove you mad with Janeway questions when I first met Stacey she drove me mad asking questions about Voyager’s EMH we had met at a medical conference I only spoke to him for about five minutes but Stacey thought that was amazing. And about your question The Hanson is on a training mission as we speak it will be back soon enough though”
Jack smiled as he Joked.
“Perhaps we will be on the same training mission together, I hope you don’t get hurt I am a little outta practice” “What was your friends name maybe Kayla met him”

“What was your friends name maybe Kayla met him”
Marcus thought he was a smile on Jake's face when he made to out of practice comment, but he let it go." My friends name is Jon Park. He was a security officer in training when i spoke with him last." As he watched Kayla search he mind Marcus added " He loves a chocolate that was from another quadrant in space. But i didn't like it. it was a kinda fudge. If you knew him it would have if you ever visited a bakery."

As they talked Marcus felt a little better he knew these people weren't here to hurt him he had a lot to learn since grade school thats why him and Park had been good friends. After a while Marcus asked if there was a holodeck around. he wanted to run a training program he had written him self. turning to them "You are welcome to join me if you wish."

"I am not familiar with a Jon Park," Kayla said. The conversation between the boys had ended and their eyes were once again upon her, waiting for a response. There were so many cadets that came through that she could not keep track of everyone.
"And, yes, I do work at the bakery," she said, breathing out heavily as she said so. She didn't wish to be reminded about he work while she was not working, and the conversation had went to discussing brains and brawn to what type of pastries taste good.
She interjected into the discourse occurring between Crane and Marcus, "The Hepta and the Hanson are the two training ships." They looked at her with surprise. How did she know?
"You seemed surprised! A simple girl like me, knowing that," she puffed her hair as she said it, trying to goofily act the way a typical girl might be pictured while being boastful. "There are all kinds of officer types that come through the bakery." Here we go with the bakery again. This time, the conversation was on her own turf, and she felt good about expounding on the information she had learned.
"Commander Hope," she mentioned first, "... Methos, that marine..." she added. "There's a Cardassian... a guy in a wheel chair." She didn't remember everyone's name.
"They are all on the Hanson. The Hepta actually went missing a few weeks ago! Luckily it was found." Perhaps she shouldn't have said anything, as the Cadets' eyes went wide. Marcus's eyes didn't quite pop as much as Crane's, though, as he probably had learned the story from his friend, Jon Park.
"I think that's it." She folded her legs, and placed her hand on top of the other, placing both on top of the knee. Her toe made a circular motion while she waited for more tea. "I'm going to have to get going in a few minutes... I have a phone call I have to make." This was Kayla's weekly phone call to father she was talking of, and she wouldn't miss it for the world. He only got to talk once a week from prison.
"Do you know where you are going to be assigned," another warm smile crept from her mouth.

"No Problem not until the training is over. I would like to serve with my friend Jon. Yet i don't think that will happen." Marcus replayed to her question. "If you need to go don't let us stop you i also need to do a few things as well. I believe i will send a subspace communique to my friend and inform him i have arrived here."
Marcus rose and looked at each person. "Jake, Kayla i am sure i will see you around until we leave." Placing his cup on the table he headed to the door. " Oh and Miss Kayla i only show respect so if you think i saw going to call you by your first name i only do so after the person tells me i can. Good Day."
Marcus left the Starquake he headed to his quarters. As he entered he tapped a command into the door control making it lock so only he could open it. As he went to the desk to start recording he saw a message on the screen 2 message's waiting "Computer play messages." Marcus ordered. The computer started with his first message. The screen showed his family friend Admiral janeway.
Hello Cadet Marcus. I have been in meetings since you left Earth so i am only now able to transmite your command codes you will need for you training and for your career. When you have finished your training i would enjoy a letter. Take care of yourself Cadet. Janeway Out.
After the admirals face flashed off the screen Marcus placed a Padd on a spot for download. "Computer download Command codes in to Padd A." As he hears the computer respond Command codes transferring. Transfer complete. The computer replied after a few moments.
The second message started playing as soon as the the Padd was removed from it's slot. The second was a update to Marcus about new Starfleet Ops Protocols that would be use after his training was to finish. Marcus Took one of the larger Padds and Placed it by the computer. "Computer download file Ops update into Pad 23." Working the computer replied. Download will take 15 minutes to complete. Wow Marcus thought that must be a large file. I guess i will start that message to Jon.
"Computer Begin recording. Stardate 940118.24 Hey Jon i have finally arrived here at starbase Conqueror. i am sorry i was unable to join you on your training mission however when training is complete i will be joining you as a officer in starfleet. So how is The Nevada i understand you have had a bad few days i hope thats over now i know you will be a great officer one day. I have meet one of my fellow cadets a doctor he is a intresting man. I hope he is a better doctor the a comedian. Anyway i have a few things to do here. See you later Marcus out."
After Marcus sends the Communique he hears the computer state "Download complete. Almost forgetting the Padd Marcus heads over and picks up a isoliner chip hand tapped the door control unlocking the door. Exiting his quarters Marcus asks the computer " Computer where is the holodeck located on station?" "Holodecks are located on deck 68." ~Wow that on the bottom of the starbase oh well~.Marcus thought. Entering the turbolift on near his quarters Marcus ordered "Deck 68 Holodeck 30." The doors closed and Marcus headed to deck 68.

The Cadet had left before Kayla received an answer about what ship he is going to be on. For a person so intent on being polite, he sure was quick with his words and ideas. It kept the Bajoran girl's head spinning trying to keep up.
"Now that we are alone again...," she stuck her tongue out at Crane, but didn't get to continue with her thoughts as a loud crashing noise could be heard in the Promenade.
"What was that!?" Kayla yelled. She scooted her chair closer to the Cadet's chair, rounding the table so she could better see the commotion that was once happening behind her.
"A bulkhead dislodged!" Julian said. There was a tone of fear in his voice. "I told them that they need to repair this place. Instead, they blow up ships and spend resources on new ones. One of these days we are all going to get sucked out into space, and then what? There won't be an academy anyways, so what good will those ships be?!" He continued to ramble about promoting free enterprise of the establishment, using words Kayla was unfamiliar with-- words she never cared to be familiar with.
"I'm going to go see." she said, getting up from her chair. She noticed that Crane didn't readily move, so she went back and tugged on his hand. "Aren't you coming?!"
