Reading over her orders, Kay became elated. To be on their way somewhere was exciting enough, but to have a new planet to explore; that was exciting! This was space exploration at its best and the Majesty's crew would be the first to set foot on the newly found planet, Attis.
Hidden inside the Rustello Nebula, Attis had remained unexplored. Recently, deep scans had been made of the region by the science vessel Agamemnon, revealing Attis for the first time. Surprisingly, the class M planet was inhabited by humanoids - very human-like humanoids and said to have developed similarly. Their culture was primitive, equivocal to Earth's Iron Age, and they appeared peaceful. First contact with the Attisians would have to wait several centuries.
The Majesty crew was authorized to take shore leave on the less populous regions which were said to be very Earth-like. A continent in the southern hemisphere, currently bathed in a summer climate, had marvelous beaches. All shore leave parties would need native garb in case of an unscheduled meeting with the inhabitants. Kay skimmed over the costume replication program and found them very similar in style to the corresponding Greco-Roman era dress of Earth; long togas of flowing fabric in a surprisingly brilliant array of colors. Kay smiled to herself. It was going to be like stepping back into time to circa 500 B.C.
An exuberant Kay entered the bridge from her ready room.
"Mr. Aarons! We have a new journey ahead. Mr. Hawk, recall all personnel from Bellicose. We leave at 19:00 hours."

“Aye Captain,” Hawk replied.
Hawk contacted Bellicose control and requested a level 2 personnel recall for the Majesty. It required all Majesty crew to report back to the ship by 17:30 and prepare for immediate departure. He also informed the dock-master that the Majesty would depart at 19:00 hours sharp.
Some time later all crew had reported aboard and all stations manned and ready for departure. Hawk reported to the Captain that all stations reported ready as Aarons requested permission from the Bellicose dock-master to depart. The Captain ordered all mooring cleared and all docking clamps released.
“Take us out Mister Aarons,” ordered Kaylana
=^= Days later =^=
“Mister Hawk, give us a pre-approach scan of the system and Mister Aarons drop us to impulse,” requested Commander TEG.
“Aye Sir,” came the reply from them both simultaneously as they looked at each other with a slight smile.
“Captain to the bridge!” TEG commanded over the comm system.

Having had enough of the star base, Liz heads back to the ship to see what she can do before the next mission starts. She didn’t want to go to her quarters just now, and sickbay seemed way too lonely as well. She heads for the bridge.
She had been there for several shifts in a row trying to get her work caught back up. She had had nothing but fun lately, and the reports had piled up. She had everything transferred to her station, and had decided to be there for awhile, that was a couple days ago.
She didn’t know if anyone had noticed how hard she was working, but she didn’t care. She didn’t want to be relieved, and tried to stay under the radar by coming and going from the bridge. She had gotten several of the reports up to date, and she looked to see when the last physicals had been run. She realizes it is getting to be almost time for an update to them, but she decides that now isn’t the time. She moves on to several other reports she has to complete.
She has been working so hard, that she didn’t hear the person come up to her. She had been scarred to death when the person talked.

(As T'Rok's drink was on it's way to the table his commbadge chirped and ordered all Majesty personnel back to the ship)
T'Rok: Superb timing, computer end program.
(T'Rok left the holodeck along with Kedzie, Liz, and Sovas. T'Rok decided to get some work out of the way before they arrived at the planet and headed for the security office. Inside were a couple of starfleet officers who had been in an altercation earlier that day. T'Rok planned on letting them out at the end of the day but their constant arguing was beginning to make him rethink his position. Looking over his padd he had now re-read the same story at least 3 times but every time he had been interrupted by the officers in cell)
T'Rok: Enough! This is your last warning or you'll be having a sleepover here.
(Both officers quickly silenced and T'Rok went back to work. It had been a few days since he last wrote out his security personnel evaluations and they were due in every few weeks. He also had to make a report of what transpired between the two officers currently being held in the security office. As he went back to work he noticed out his window that the ship had begun moving)
T'Rok: Well it's about time.

OOC: This is a JP between T'Rok and myself.
IC: Liz can't believe the officer who approached her had sent her off duty. She hasn't been working that hard, and she doesn't need any sleep. She wonders what she should do, since sleep is the last thing on her mind. She feels something strange, and wonders what to do. She decides to pay a visit to one of the officers aboard. She finds the turbo lift ride quiet, and wonders what he could be up to.
She enters his office finding him working on something behind his desk. "Hello, Lt." She says trying not to let her feelings rise up.
T'Rok places his padd on the desk and looks up at Liz. In a louder and more rowdy voice he responds "Doctor, what can I do for you?"
"Thought that maybe I should make a personal visit." She says moving herself around his desk.
T'Rok gets up from his seat. "Doctor there are plenty of chairs for everyone!" T'Rok signals toward a chair in front of his desk.
"I never said I wanted to sit down though." She says as a smile starts to spread across her face.
T'Rok crosses his arms. "Well, is there something I can do for you Commander? If not I should really get back to work, I'm very behind."
"Well, I think you need to take a break. I know I need to." She says still moving closer to him.
"I'm sorry Commander but I have to finish this report so if you'll excuse me." T'Rok starts to take a seat again when suddenly a crewman collapses in the cell.
T'Rok releases the forcefield and checks on the crewman. She says as she follows him to check on the fallen man. T'Rok feels the officer's pulse and it's non-existent. He moves aside to let Liz take over, and suddenly the downed man start to seize. He knocks off her commbadge, and then the officer in the next cell over begins seizing. She moves in to see if all is well. She takes out her tricorder, and uses it even though it isn't a medical one, ignoring the fact that her commbadge is outside the area she is in.
"Do you even know how to take a proper pulse? He has one." She says not looking up from the fallen man.
"He was faking it." She heard him say, and wonders what he is thinking.
"Oh, yes, he just turned his pulse off. It's a big hit these days. Eveyone seems to want to do that." She says quickly in response to him.
"What the hell is going on here!" T'Rok releases the forcefield on the next cell over and goes to check on the officer. As he closes in on the officer he is whacked in the face and falls to the floor, and the officer takes his commbadge. The officer runs out of the cell and raises the forcefields on both cells leaving Liz in one cell and T'Rok in the other.
T'Rok stumbles back to his feet a minute after the forcefield is reinforced. As he gets to his feet he wobbles to regain his balance. He rubs the huge bloody gash on his head. As T'Rok reaches for his commbadge he looks down to realize it's gone.
"We've been duped Doctor." He says. She groans as she finds the other man has left as well. She didn't see it coming, but he had pushed her back against the bed. Her left shoulder blade had hit it hard, and she felt the pain surging through her body.
T'Rok attempts to leave the cell but resistance is quickly met in the form of a bright blue forcefield. In a rage T'Rok whams his fist into the forecefield.
"Now what do we do?" She says looking his way and seeing the gash.

Liz: Now what do we do?
(T'Rok looked around the cell for any openings or an alternate exit even though he knew very well that there were none)
T'Rok: That P'Tak!
(T'Rok kicked the cell wall with all his might)
T'Rok: There is no way out Doctor. I shouldn't have expected you to be the look out.
Liz: What!? That is preposterous. You're the security chief here.
T'Rok: Then leave the security explanations of our current predicament to me then.
(Liz turned away from T'Rok in her cell. Looking around for any way out of the situation T'Rok took his phaser out and started firing at the forcefield)
Liz: That will never work.
(T'Rok threw his phaser to the floor)
T'Rok: Useless!
Liz: The forcefields are too strong for that to have any effect.
T'Rok: We will just have to wait for someone to release us.

Kedzie had decided it would be best for her to try to get comfortable in her position, and she thought that a part of counseling that was important would be working with the Chief Security Officer to try to talk to people who had committed crimes. She walked into the office, and noticed that the place seemed rather empty, there was no one in it.
“Hello?” she called, wondering why there isn’t an officer in the office, like it seems there should be. She vaguely heard some voices calling from the cells, and she decided to walk to them to see if the officer on duty was by the cells.
Kedzie is surprised to see the doctor and CSO locked in cells, but after talking to them for a while she can tell that they weren’t supposed to be in there. She notices that their combadges are outside the cell, explaining why they didn’t call for help. “Can I help you get out?” she asked, managing to keep a worried expression, despite the slight urge she had to laugh at them for getting into this situation in the first place.

“I don’t know the necessary code to get you out though,” Kedzie replied.

Standing in Main Engineering I couldn't stop smiling as I listened to my baby the Warp Drive humming softly at power.
Looking around I noticed that shift turnover had just completed and felt satisfied that Engineering was in very capable hands.
"I will be in my quarters if you need me" I told the Engineering Watch Officer.
"Yes Sir, sleep well." Came the response from the Lt. Commander.
With that I stepped through the main doors and headed down the passageway towards my quarters.

"What was that? Did you hear that, it sounds like someone is around." She says quickly.
(T'Rok)
"Here, we are in here! Help us! Hello!" She started to yell, and it doesn't take long before they have company.
"You might be able to help us. I hope you can, we need to be let out of here. This I do believe shouldn't be told to the rest of the crew." She says looking from T'Rok to the counsellor giving them a glare. It was bad enough that she was known for pulling pranks, but this, well she didn't know if she could take the jokes from the rest of the crew, and she didn't want to find out.
"I suppose I could give you my access code, but I don't know if it would work. T'Rok, she needs your code. Quickly before we are found by other members of the crew." She says not liking this embarrassing position.
(Kedzie, T'Rok)
A couple of decks down one of the escapees spies a woman walking alone. He likes what he sees, and walks down the corridor after her. He waits and watches wondering if she is ever going to be alone.
He finally sees no one is around, and he runs up to her grabbing her around the nose and mouth with one hand, while applying pressure to her neck. She faints, and he takes her to his secret hidding place.

“I wouldn’t tell anyone,” Kedzie promised. “I’ll just view this as a counseling session, what is said from the inside of the cell stays in there.” Kedzie was completely serious, she is unable to find much humor in this situation.
“Your code would probably work,” Kedzie told Liz. “You would need to have a medical override in case someone in one of the cells had a medical emergency. A counselor’s code might even work, but I don’t have a modified version, since I’m a civilian, I’m not given access to secured areas.”
<Tag Liz and T’Rok>
Kedzie did what she was told to, and let them out of the cells. “How did you get in the cell in the first place?” she asked.
<Tag Liz and T’Rok>
“So where is the person who got out of the cell?” she said, then realized right after she had finished saying it that her words were potentially accusatory, and she didn’t mean to do that at all.

"Okay we can try it, but I better not have to change this later." She says smiling to confuse the counsellor. "My code is Epsilon Beta two four eight." She says hoping this works. She didn't like being cooped up for long. The counsellor manages to open the cells with the code, and Liz is relieved.
"Thanks, I didn't like that experience. Brought back memories." She says looking over at T'Rok smiling. She checked his head, and did the best she could without medical equipment.
"You will have to report to sickbay immediately." She says and turns to the counsellor.
"Well, we were chatting, and then one of the guys in here went down. We went to investigate, and found that another one went down. It was a trick, and while I was busy with the one man, T'Rok had to deal with the other. He got hit in the face, and I got knocked back connecting with the bed. We both need medical attention, and I hope the nurses are in a good mood, and the captain as well." She says trying to hide her pain still. She didn't want anyone to see how badly injured she really was. She knew she couldn't take time out to heal, she was the ship's doctor, and the only one they had other than the hologram.
"We don't know where they went, why they escaped, or what they could be up to. I don't even know why they were imprisoned." She says and notices that T'Rok has been replaced by another security guard who doesn't look like he is going to give them any information.
"Well, we should leave, there is no reason for us to be here." She says, and all of a sudden she is summoned over the commlink. She is surprised when they ask for the counsellor too. She makes her way to sickbay first, wanting all the medical supplies a medkit can offer.
She makes her way to the area she has been summoned to, and finds Kedzie is already there. Kedzie say something about not being able to go in without Liz, and Liz apologizes quickly as she looks at the guard. They are both emitted into someone's quarters.
Liz looks around and finds a young woman sitting on the bed shivering. The woman looks up and finds the two of them. Liz sees a cut on the woman's arm, and she wonders what happened. She also wonders if this was the result of T'Rok and her being locked up instead of those two miscreants.
"What happened? Are you hurt in any other places, or is it just your arm?" She says hoping to get an answer more from the second question than the first. The girl breaks down into sobs.
"He... will... be.... back.... to.... finish.... his.... work...... I.... am... lucky.... to.... be.... alive............ I... hurt... all... over...... HELP! HELP ME!" She said between her tears, yelling out the last part as if it was something that needed more emphasis than the rest. Liz pulls out her tricorder, and starts to scan, not wanting to ask any more questions. She notices Kedzie is looking the girl over, and just observing for now.
"Well, Kedzie, is there some reason you should be here, or can I treat her alone?" She says irrated that the counsellor hadn't made any move.
(Kedzie)
A few decks below, a young lady is taking a sonic shower, and she thinks she has heard something. She thinks her ears are playing tricks on her, and she remembers this ship is one of the safest in the fleet. She igores what she thinks is her imagination, and closes her eyes continuing to enjoy her shower.

"Well, Kedzie, is there some reason you should be here, or can I treat her alone?" Liz said.
“Yes, I’m here to do my job,” Kedzie replied, her tone studiedly calm-she wanted to avoid a conflict, as she moved closer to the girl, trying to make sure she isn’t making the girl feel crowded. Kedzie got the impression that the doctor was a little impatient with her, but it was better not to be overly comforting and sympathetic, as that was actually more likely to make the girl feel impatient, and patronized. And Kedzie had wanted to give Dr. Janeway a chance to assess the young woman’s physical well-being before she started talking.
“It will be okay,” Kedzie said, speaking to reassure the woman, forgetting about Liz.
“NO!” the girl shouted back. “It… Won’t… Work…… He… said…” the girl trailed off into tears.
“I can talk to the Chief Security Officer, maybe he can assign a security detail to you, to keep you safe.” Kedzie wasn’t able to promise anything, but she was certainly willing to talk to T’Rok, and he would probably be able to spare the men for it. “It’ll be all right,” Kedzie repeated. “We’ll do whatever we can to make it all right.”

She notices the wounds aren't too serious, and it seemed that whatever had happened was only to scare the girl, not to seriously harm her. She wonders if there is a way to prevent anything else from happening. She pulls out a hypospray, and puts it to the girl's neck. She cries out in alarm.
"It's just me, relax. I am trying to heal you, not harm you. I realize that you are afraid of whoever attacked you returning to finish the job, but you are in my presence. No one should be afraid with me around, besides if he does come back, I do plan to hurt not heal that one." She says and looks over at Kedzie, seeing she has shocked the counsellor. Anyone who hurts women, and makes them afraid like this should be locked up or worse. That is only my opinion though, and what I think doesn't always matter in cases like this. I wonder why this is just now happening. She thinks, and gasps as she realizes the only difference around the ship is the two men that were let out of the brig. She hopes they aren't the cause of this, and she decides its time to talk to the captain of the recent activities.
Liz takes out a dermal regenerator, and starts to heal the woman. It only takes a few minutes to get the cuts healed. She notices nothing is broken, and that this girl got off easy it seems with just a few cuts here and there. Nothing too serious, and she was done healing the girl.
=^=Dr. Janeway needed on deck thirteen=^= She heard, and she wasn't happy. She has yet to get to sickbay and make sure she isn't seriously hurt. She sighs and gathers her medical equipment.
"Your body is fully healed, and there is nothing more I can do for you. I have to be going now, I am needed on deck thirteen." She says hoping to reassure the girl. She smiles, and finds this doesn't help. Picking up her medkit she motions for Kedzie to follow her for a moment.
"Kedzie, I don't know how else to help her. I wish I could help beyond healing her flesh, but there isn't anything I can do. She has been scared pretty badly, and I feel guilty for this." She says and departs saying good-bye to both women.
Down on deck thirteen, she arrives and finds several people are around being held away from something. She makes her way through the crowd, and sees what everyone is gawking at. Not too much further from her was a female body laying on the deck, and it was in a very awkward position. She knew by the look of the body, that this girl was dead. She didn't like how things were looking, and she saw a cloth covered the body. She wonders what happened, and if anyone has any information on this. She starts forward again, and she hopes this won't happen again.
A little while later, she emerges from her work and onto the bridge. She walks up to the commanding officer. "Sir, I need to have a word with you." She says and looks like she means business.

"Kedzie, I don't know how else to help her. I wish I could help beyond healing her flesh, but there isn't anything I can do. She has been scared pretty badly, and I feel guilty for this."
“I see,” Kedzie replied, and just before Liz left, she thought of something. “But you shouldn’t feel guilty, it’s not your fault. Would tracking the life signs of the escapees work?” Kedzie asked, trying to think of a way for no further people to be hurt.
<Tag Liz>
After the doctor had left, Kedzie turned to the young woman. “It’s okay,” Kedzie tried to reassure her. “Lieutenant T’Rok and Doctor Janeway will be able to find whoever did this to you, this is a starship, no one can leave or enter easily.” Then, since doing something constructive was better than doing anything, Kedzie turned to the girl. “I’m Kedzie,” she said, since she didn’t know if the young woman had overheard it or not, then she asked the girl her name.

“Do you still hurt?” Kedzie asked, knowing that Liz had done what she could, but that Kedzie might still be able to help with that.

"I know, but I can't help feeling that way. If we had anything on them in the database to use for a tracking we would be able to. I don't know, and will have to talk to T'Rok to see what he has." She says before leaving.
On the lower decks she finds things aren't good, and notices there isn't a trace of who might have done this. She knew though, and saw T'Rok.
"Oh good, just the guy I was looking for." She says, and notices the look in his eyes. "Nothing like that." She finishes and chuckles.
"Is there any way to track the two that got away from us? I do believe the last two attacks were from one, if not both of them." She says not liking this situation.
(T'Rok)
Meanwhile, the girl had heard Kedzie, and wondered why she was so interrested. She had never met anyone who cared about her before, and it was kinda nice to know someone did now.
"I am Trishta. I don't hurt anymore, the doctor did a good job. Why are you here? Why do you care? No one has before." The girl says, being completely honest as she has been taught to do all her life.

"I am Trishta. I don't hurt anymore, the doctor did a good job. Why are you here? Why do you care? No one has before." The girl said.
Kedzie felt slightly torn, she almost felt like it would be a form of betrayal to say that it was her job, but there was no thought in her mind of lying, and that wasn’t the only reason she was here. “I’m here mostly because that’s my job, I’m ship’s counselor, they call me when they think there would be a problem I can help with.” Kedzie paused, and met Trishta’s eyes. “I care because I can’t help caring; never have been able to.”
Kedzie smiled slightly, she didn’t think this was a smiling situation, but she didn’t want to cry. She felt sorry for the girl who said that no one cared or ever had. Kedzie gestured at a chair near the bed. “Can I sit?” she asked, trying not only to get an answer, she could guess what the girl might say, if only out of politeness, but she also wanted to help the young woman feel more comfortable, and to see how she reacted to the request, and the indicator that Kedzie didn’t want to leave until Trishta wanted her to.

Kay had set the sciences department on the task of surveying the planet from orbit before granting shore leave. She then decided to work on reports in her ready room for the interim.
TEG was on the bridge later when Dr. Janeway came out onto the bridge.
"Sir, I need to have a word with you and the Captain." She says and looks like she means business.
Janeway lead the way to the ready room, and TEG followed. He tapped the door chime and the Captain called them in.
"Captian, Dr. Janeway wanted to speak to us urgently."
"Go Ahead Doctor."

Liz wasn't sure exactly how to put her recent embarrasing situation. She didn't want to show that T'Rok had been locked in too, so she decides not to mention that part.
"Well, earlier I had been locked in the brig, while two men locked in there before got loose. We have had one girl attacked, while another one was found dead. I think these events are cause and effect like." She says, wondering what they are thinking. Things don't look too good from what she has shared.
"Is there some reason I can't know why they were locked up in the first place? Or why they were in the brig on our ship instead of someplace safer?" She says hoping to get an answer to these mysteries.
(Tag Teg)
Meanwhile Trishta looks over the other female in her quarters. She isn't sure she likes having the counsellor around, and wonders if she could get the counsellor to shed her title and just be a person.
"So, tell me a bit about you?" She says trying to relax, and to get the counsellor to relax too.

OOC: A couple of men have escaped from the brig, and they aren't very nice. One or both of them are hurting some of the females aboard the ship. One of them has turned up dead.
IC: "Well, isn't there anything we can do?" She says alarmed at what she is hearing. She couldn't believe that the records had been tampered with, and she didn't want to mention it being a posiblity.

"Alright, I will be in sickbay if anyone needs me." She says and leaves as she is dimissed. She heads out of the office and into the nearest turbo lift. She knew there had to be some way to capture these men before anyone else got hurt.

"So, tell me a bit about you?" Trishta said.
Kedzie smiled, trying to put Trishta at ease, and also because she’s willing to just talk. “I’m Bajoran-was born on Bajor. I have a younger sister-except she’s not really my sister, not biologically-she’s adopted. And my parents. They own a farm on Bajor, in Kendra Province, and work the land. Which is the way I grew up.”
“I’m primarily a musician, only recently got my counseling degree.” Kedzie noticed that the mention of her counseling seemed to make Trishta a little uneasy.
“While I was playing my music, I traveled the stars, but spent most of my time on the ground of one planet or another. I miss playing a little,” Kedzie admitted; she hadn’t really gotten a chance to play much in the past few months. Just basic practice, nothing much.

Hawk made further scans of the planet after they arrived which revealed that this planet formed some 11 billion years ago in the once distant Rustello Nebula. Long before Earth ever existed, a planet formed around a sun-like star which contains two-thirds of the planetary mass of the sol system. Attis is the fourth planet from its Sun, located in the Rustello Nebula with its 2 large moons. Its average distance from the Attis sun is about 259,470,000 kilometers. The new findings of the science vessel Agamemnon could shed much light on the true nature of this ancient world, which takes a decade to complete each orbit around its sun.
Even though Attis may have developed similarly to earth it was at an extremely slower speed. Their language was determined to be English with some Latin or Old English like dialect thrown in.
Upon even closer examination sensors revealed a perfect spot for their research and shore leave combination. It was an area some 147 km from the closest inhabitants with a stretch of beach that would rival any resort. The nebula seemed to filter out some of the normal sun light which caused a dark blueish glow to the planets atmosphere. This effect reduced the planets normal level of illumination by nearly 1/4.
Hawk reported his findings to the Captain immediately.
Kaylana ordered ship wide intercom,”This is the Captain. All research teams are to being beaming to the surface. All other personal my being shore leave in the proper attire of the period. Remember to check the duty roster before you depart and enjoy your stay.”
