It is with a heavy heart that I have to announce my resignation from Section 47. Unfortunately university commitments have well and truly jumped on me, and although my recent LOA has been due to not having the internet, rather than my being busy, I do not think it would be fair to my education to attempt to come back to the site when we do get the internet. I am spending most of my time at the moment working, and I fear that were I to return this will inhibit that work.

I love this ship and I love this crew, and it was not an easy decision to come to. I apologise to each and every one of you for leaving, but I know that you are all great officers and I have no doubt that you will continue to make me proud.

I will still be around on MSN from time to time, though will far less frequency than in the past, and I hope to be able to keep in contact with you all.

I knew this was coming, but I still don't like it! Ben, this place just will not be the same without you, you are part of the fixtures. I know we very rarely agreed on everything S47 related, but I think you know that deep down, I always did consider you to be one of the best members we had - I'll never say that again, so better save this!

Don't think this gets you out of coming to Northampton, you owe me a visit! Plus we still have to go to Scotland and annoy MC and Elron.

Well.... like Andy I can't say I m surprised. It is a great shame however. The place will defo not be the same at all. And I hope its just a TO and not a full Resignation.

You have been a good co - despite what you may think of yourself - and a major player in the site.

Sorry to hear that your resigning Ben, the nevada will not be the same with out, hopefully when you graduate next year, you'll come back and rejoin s47.

Though I was aware of the situation it is still with mixed feelings that I see our Captain go. This certainly will have an impact on this ship, its crew and its future. I'm thankful for the years you have been my captain and for the opportunities you have given me. I think I speak for all when I say; 'We'll miss you Captain.'
We owe it to you and in honour of you to keep this ship as one of the best and most special in the fleet.

Sir, it has been an honour and privilege serving with you. I'll raise my glass to you (which is not that hard to do since I'm in the pub at this moment. The wonders of technology!).

WOW! FIrst chance I have had to look over the Nevada site and what do I see, your resignation.

This has become a sad day for me, but I agree that your studies come first and foremost. Take a TO instead of resignation, you never known what the future will bring. Never say Never!

I do miss the Nevada and our 'conversations' are part of why I miss it. Good luck, Ben. See you again, I hope.

Oh and if you see that I am on line but don't answer you, it's because my son is the one using the computer. I rarely use it at home anymore.

Still, its certainly going to be different on the Nevada without you, its been the first time you and I have simmed together since, well, the beginning...sounds strange saying that lol

Ben ... I enjoyed serving under your command and simming on this great ship. I too have a heavy heart to see you go ... you have been a true friend to me on this board.
