I've posted my final post in the current mission thread. I'm glued to the ending, but I left what happens in the in-between very open to interpretation. Have fun with it! Just make sure it flows.
February 1st I will begin two weeks of shore leave. I will keep the current mission thread open until Friday in order to get everyone's final posts in.
Nack has some debriefing to do on this whole ordeal, we need two new fighters, Captain Dixon is either healed or not depending on what Lucy does.. and I'm sure your characters need some rest. There are plenty of things left to sim about in the shore leave if you want. If you need ideas what to do on shore leave, PM me, or ask here, and I'll let you know. This will give Ensign Bit-Cloud a good opportunity to get to know us, and get settled in before our next mission.

I started the shore leave thread today. I'll leave the mission thread up until Friday, but you may also start posting in the shore leave thread.
Again, shore leave is optional, but I strongly encourage you to post! It's a great time for open-ended character building.
In approximately two weeks, we will start our next mission!

I was reading through the final posts of the mission, and I got a little confused by the following:
As both officers reported they were ready Park order Tobias to transport it into the brig. After the prisoner was in the brig Park turned to Razan. "Commander go take the bridge and Make sure we are on course to star base. I'll Be in sickbay."
I thought I made it clear in Nack's debfief from the Commodore that the pirate got away? If not, I apologize. I was going on the assumption that the pirate got away somehow, and special operations had to bring him in later... which is a big reason why Nack was getting into trouble. That - and the brain pod excaping.

Ah... That very question keeps me up late at night, striving to be a better S47-ite... Trying to figure out who to bribe... I toil at the boards, perfecting my every key stroke, so that someday my efforts may be rewarded...
OK, not quite.
Actually, it's a simple matter of policy. When given command of a ship, such as the Nevada-B, you are on a 3 month probationary period. After 3 months, they vote on whether you should be a full Captain. Think of it as a trial period. The previous CSS meeting held last Saturday had an agenda item involving voting to make me a full Captain in rank... so I await the release of the meeting minutes to see if I've made the grade.
Until then, I'm just a Commander First class in Captain's clothing. *Adjusts shirt.*

it makes perfect since they want to see if your able to command a ship and to see how you and your crew react with each other. If you fail in any part they remove you and replace you like that (well i think they do anyways xD)

I'm encouraged by the quality and length of the posts during shore leave everyone. They seem to be well-thought out even though we don't have a firm mission.
Keep up the good work!

I believe, Mr. Helacaan, we are now on the bridge of the USS Nevada.
I don't mind it this time, since I was eventually going to end up on the bridge... but I'd appreciate an advanced warning before getting moved drastically through scenes. Small movements, like across the deck are no biggie, but large movements, like between Starbase and Starship I'd rather do myself.
By the way - have you all noticed I put up a mission outline for our next mission!? Take a look, I would love to hear your comments.

Nack Bit confused there sir. I posted a reply to your post where you meet me in the Starbase Personnel Office. So as far as I'm aware, you had not moved anywhere since where your post ended and mine started.

Indeed - I think Park either was confused or chose to move us there, hence my OOC post asking not to be moved. Either way, I don't think it's a big deal - do you?
Eh - We'll go with the bridge idea... no biggie. I just don't want to be moved through scenes again like that lol. It confuses the heck out of me.

No biggie - I had to eventually get to the ship somehow anyway, so it wasn't a stretch to assume Nack and Seth might be there. In general, as I said, if drastic movements are going to be made of myself or other characters, I'd like to be asked.
Otherwise, someone might foil something I have up my sleeves. *notices he's wearing a sleeveless shirt...* You know what I mean!
So, since I was put on the bridge... I might as well twist the reason why. I hope you like my post! Serves you all right. LOL

I'm a little bit confused as to why you addressed me about the moving, I've concluded that you were just making me aware that everyone had moved to the ship? edit: I see that that's what you meant now. Message boards can be fickle things, difficult to tell what somebody means when you're only reading what they've wrote.

It has come to my attention this past weekend that, for questions/requests to CSS, we should be using the following form:
section47.byethost13.com/form.php
It can be found on the main site menu bar under [Command]->[Questions Form]
I just thought I would point that out to everyone in case you didn't know it was there. We've all gotten into the habit, I think, of PMing CSS directly, or asking questions openly on the board. I know I have. The webpage above is the 'official' channel, and it also will help get your issue resolved quicker since I believe all of CSS sees the question, not just the CSS member that would handle your request/problem/query.
so, for trivia, rank, personnel, bios, commendations, or general questions to CSS, use the form. Still use your chain of command for all non-command related issues. I can still be reached by PM or email.
Just passing the info on.
