Several days after leaving Romulan Space, the USS Vesuvius-A finally made her approach towards Starbase Bellicose. The crew had settled to their normal routines, though their guest, a certain Lucy Kanz, certainly was the gossip of the day. The girl had adjusted admirably to life aboard the ship and got along quite well with the crewmembers.
Sonak was just about to go on duty when the call came that Bellicose was within hailing range. "Go on Mr Meylor," Sonak called over her combadge, "hail them, I will be right up!"
<Meylor>
Sonak entered the bridge not long after that, and was quite surprised to see the face of Admiral MC7. "Wow, you sure jumped up the ranks again sir," Sonak said, smiling at him, "not so long ago, you were assigned as my security officer, and look at you now. Well done!" She grinned as the officer on the other end seemed at a loss for words. "Requesting permission to dock admiral," Sonak added, "my crew really needs some shoreleave, you would not believe t if I told you what we have been through recently."
MC7 nodded, granting them permission to dock. "It's good to have you back," he replied before signing off.
"Sonak to all hands, we are docking at Starbase Bellicose. Until our next mission orders arrive, it is shore leave time. And considering recent events, it is well earned!"

Lt. Commanders Samuel Ramsden and Nick Martens sat staring across the table at Lt. Meylor Paht, who was looking back at them ambivalently, clearly unsure how to take the two officers.
"Oh dear Samuel, he doesn't seem to understand the changes on board the Vesuvius since he left."
"This won't do. Nope, not at all Nick, not at all."
"He needs showing."
"An example must be made."
"Come with us Lieutenant."
Almost in unison the two commanders stood abruptly and walked away in an odd jerky fashion, the completely neutral expression intact on their faces, though a close look would give away the scam as Ramsden's eyes twinkled with a delighted malignant merriment. However, Meylor was oblivious to it, and followed the pair, his own face sporting bemusement.
Eventually the trio of Vesuvius bridgecrew were alone, walking along the corridors of Starbase Bellicose's cargo decks. Meylor was looking increasingly confused, though Samuel and Nick were now acting slightly more normal.
"Sorry about the act back there, but this is absolutely critical. Nobody was to catch on. Understand?"
Meylor didn't, but he nodded anyway and Samuel resumed his habitual grinning. If Meylor hadn't come to know that Ramsden was always grinning he could of suspected something. Obviously he hadn't learned to always suspect something yet.
Shortly, deep within the darkened cargo decks they came upon an empty cage, its door evidenly forced violently open. Ramsden and Nick exchanged worried glances.
"What is this all about?"
"Well Meylor, the Vesuvius engineering staff found an alien animal during our last mission - a rare creature that closely resembles Earth's koala bears, only larger and much more intelligent."
Ramsden was looking even more concerned as he looked Meylor straight in the eye and added,
"And now its loose on this starbase. We have to find it."
A faint patter of running bare feet echoed along the racks of cargo supplies, and Nick bolted down one aisle whilst Ramsden dragged Meylor down another. As Ramsden and Meylor skidded around a corner they crashed headlong into a maintenance crewman's cleaning chemicals stash and went flying, covered in solvent. Meylor got shakily to his feet, dripping a foul spelling lubricant onto the deck from his clothes and hair. His holographic companion of course was completely clean still. He gestured at Meylor's sodden uniform with a can of some kind of exotic pet food.
"Strip. Then rub some of this over your body."
"I beg your pardon?!"
"You heard me Lieutenant. That creature must not be allowed to escape. Now, say you were a sentient teddy bear on the run. Would YOU hang around if a Starfleet officer came after you smelling of solvent?"
"Would you hang around if a naked man covered in dodgy pet food came after you?"
"No. But then I'm not a sentient teddy bear on the run."
Meylor shut up and cast an evil eye at Ramsden as he slowly removed his clothing and smeared the gunky meat over the worst affected parts of himself, to hide the smell. The chase resumed, the pattering audible again. Of Nick there was no sign.
Before long Meylor realised that now Ramsden was missing in action too. He shrugged, putting it down to another splitting up tactic, and ran around another corner. Now he was heading into more populous sections of Bellicose, and started to panic thinking of how to explain his situation when Admiral MC7 walked past, did a double take, and ordered Meylor to report.
"Err... I beg the Admiral's pardon... and... err... I'm sorry to report that the personal cloaking device experiments were not... err... not that successful. Sir."
MC7 chuckled as Meylor stood there shivering and saluting, told him to put a uniform on and walked off visibly shaking with mirth.
Meylor was on his way to his quarters when he too had reason to do a double take. Outside the door to a crew lounge there stood a short fluffy bear-like animal, with its back turned to him. He slowly crept up on the thing, and at the last moment leapt upon it, rolling through the door and into the lounge.
Standing up, and partially blinded by some of the meat that had got into his eye during his dramatic entrance and capture of the animal, he inspected his prize. It was nothing but a child's stuffed toy. What was more alarming was that the lounge was filled with people.
Vesuvius officers stood around in various poses, but all of them were as if frozen in time, and not reacting to Meylor at all. Except, he saw, one or two of them were moving ever so slightly, unable to stay completely still.
Thinking this a REALLY bad dream the young officer backed up to the door, covering his modesty witht the stuffed bear. He jumped as his flesh encountered cold metal. The door obstinately refused to open. He jumped again as a voice wispered in his ear,
"Nice [word deleted] Lieutenant."
He whirled back towards the room and saw that all of the people present were now grinning at him infuriatingly.
"I have been soooo set up."
L'Ola Kanz, who had wispered at him, draped a bright orange cloak around him, upon the back of which was stencilled in bold WIBBLE YUB YUB, LIEUTENANT. It was wearing both this and the pet food that Meylor Paht joined his fellow officers in the celebrations.

Sonak stood to the side, watching as the CTSO and the CEO pulled their prank with Meylor. While feeling very sorry for Meylor, there was not a whole lot she could do about it, apart from making sure that the prank did not go too far. She noticed Meylor's embarassed smile, but knew instantly that he would not take it the wrong way. She actually thought that had the roles been reversed, he might have done the same. Off to the side, she noticed their new counselor. Claire had accepted an assignment on Earth and had taken her new wife, Lena, with her.
She walked over to the counselor, greeting the woman formally. "Greetings, you must be lieutenant commander Strife Cavit," she said, sticking out her hand towards the woman. According to Vulcan customs, she should not shake hands, but time, and being raised by humans, had taught her that many a species actually appreciated a handshake over the formal Vulcan greeting. And since Sonak was a strong telepath and very capable of shielding her mind against any unwanted intrusion, she did not mind the contact so much.
Beside her stood her 4-year old twins T'Kimi and Sevus, both giggling at the appearance of Meylor. They paid no heed to the stern looks their mother was giving them. The baby twins were lying snug in more practical version of a maxi cosi, set on a baby version of the hover-chair. (I'm terribly sorry I got no idea how to call the tiny-baby version of a buggy...) On her other side stood Jatan, an arm encircled around her waist. She could not resist leaning against him as she spoke to Strife. "This is Jatan Reckus," she introduced the CMO to the new counselor, "our chief medical officer and a man who is very very dear to me."

OOC: Ooooh...you guys got me on that one ;D So, Mr. Ramsden is a joker, eh? I'll keep that in mind... IC: After the craziness of the introductions to the new Counselor, Meylor was distinctly relieved to get back to quarters and finally relax in the sonic shower for a good while. Not too suprisingly, however Meylor found that his shower had somehow been rigged to cause all the hair on his head to fall out. Apparently, Ramsden and Martens were still on the prowl... After putting on a crisp new uniform and having a last look at his now-bald visage in the mirror, Meylor headed out to his office, chuckled at himself for a moment, and tried to think of how he was going to secure his quarters against further pranks. Given that the ship's Chief Engineer AND Tac Officer were his tormentors, though, that prospect was looking dim. Ah well, let them have their fun, he thought. While it lasts... Meylor's devilish smile at this thought soon vanished as he entered his office, turning his attention the the small, sleek-looking object on his desk. Picking up the nearly featureless little cylinder, he recognized the telltale computer access ports on it which had been his first clue as to deciphering its function. It was a message bouy, message capsule really, far more advanced than anything the Federation was producing at this point in time. Which made sense; this capsule was from an entirely different time. It had been left adrift in space, ejected by the the Vesuvius-C from the alternate timeline just before its destruction. Meylor had discovered all this information shortly after he had finally managed to download the contents of the capsule. What was contained within was much more than just technical details, however. It contained the final messages of the crew of that alternate Vesuvius, moments frozen (quite literally in this case) in time. As soon as he had realized just how personal the messages were, Meylor elected not to view them; these recordings were obviously meant for the private review of each of the sender's counterparts on the Vesuvius-A. Hence, Meylor located and reviewed only his own counterpart's message, and that was more than enough for him. The other Meylor had some...disturbing things to say. There remained only one thing to do: report to the captain and let her decide what should ultimately be done with the capsule. He did just that, and was soon standing in the ready room, having explained his results to the commodore. <Sonak>

"3-2 Your serve"
The shuttle travelled once again over the net, but this time not far enough.
"That's better, 2-3 my serve"
L'Ola had been starting to get worried, Jenna never beat her. Both of them had been so preoccupied lately that they wanted to concentrate on something else, although neither would admit that.
Jenna groaned. "3 all my serve" L'Ola announced happily.
As they carried on playing, Jenna brought up an extremely volatile topic. "So, at the risk of causing an explosion, how are things going between you and Lucy?"
"Could be better, could be worse. She's a nice enough girl, but it's still a little weird. The fact that she's only 8 years younger than me is part of it I suppose, but then there's also the point that she's hiding something from me."
"Well she can hardly tell you her life story."
L'Ola shook her head, "No, that's not what I mean. She's hiding something that's happening now."
Jenna lost concentration when she started to think about this, and lost another point. "But what could she possibly be doing now? Even in her timeline it's still 15 years before she should be born."
"Your guess is as good as mine."
They quickly finished their game and headed off to a lounge on the station. Once they had sat down with drinks, Jenna brought up a topic bothering her.
"Did you know Dan's been offered a position at the Academy?
"No, I can't say I did actually," the look of surprise on L'Ola's face imitating her words.
"It would be great for him obviously, he's been a medical technician for years now. And he's always wanted to put some of the knowledge back in."
It dawned on L'Ola why she was being told this, "Have you guys ever been separate?"
"When we were little we spent a week far apart, I still remember it things were that bad. Since then we've stayed close together. It was mainly for survival reasons when we were little, what with Kelly getting all the attention." Jenna shook her head in disbelief, still not wanting to think about her life before they left home.
"What are you going to do then?"
"I'm not sure exactly. Dan said he won't take the job if I don't want him to go. But I can't let him turn down the job of a lifetime just because I can't live without my brother. It's really stupid, but I can't imagine going a day without seeing him there, or talking about how things are going."
L'Ola gave her friend a hug, "Everything will be fine. Think of it as a challenge. And if things get too bad then you could always go too. I'll write you a good reference."
Jenna smiled, "Thank you." She checked the time, "Sorry, I'll have to go. Dan's arranged for a couple of our old mates to meet us, we're all going off for a meal."
"Have fun!"
"Will do, you too!"
L'Ola finished off her drink and went wandering around the starbase. Not finding anything she wanted to do, she headed back to the Vesuvius to relax, curl up and read.

OOC: Excuse the blatent rip off.
It was the night before docking, and all through the starship not a creature was stirring, not even a Denobulan mouse. The paper was hung round the warpcore with care, in the hopes that St. Nicholas soon would be there.
The children were nestled all snug in their beds, while visions of pandas danced in their heads; An L'Ola in her 'kerchief, and I in my cap, had just settled down for a mid evening nap.
When out in the hall there arose such a clatter, I sprung from my bed to see what was the matter. Away to the entrance I flew with a flash, tore open the door way and threw up the sash (it wasn't sitting right anyway).
The night lights from the cieling above, illuminated the frosty words "hallways in snow." When, what to my wondering eyes should appear, But a miniature sleigh, and eight tiny redshirts.
With a little old driver, so lively and quick, I knew at that moment it wasn't St. Nick. More rapid than beagles his coursers they came, And he farted, and shouted, and called them by name.
"Now, ASHER! now, BLANCIER! now, PRICE and VIKSE! On, COLMAN! on STUPID! on, DANDER and BLITZKRIEG! Up two decks to the bridge! to the left down the hall! Now run away! run away! run away all!"
As dry heaves that after the wild hurricane fly, They met with an obstacle, and covered their eyes, So down to the Dobsons the coursers they flew, With the sleigh full of toys, that St. Nicholas knew.
Then, in a twinkling, twas heard in the roof The prancing and pawing of each little hoof. As I drew a phaser in hand, and was turning around, Down the hallway a stout fellow came with a bound.
He was dressed all in fur, from his head to his foot, And his clothes were all tarnished with ashes and soot; A bundle of toys he had flung on his back, And he looked like a Ferengi just opening his pack.
His eyes -- how they twinkled! his lobes how merry! His cheeks were like roses, his nose like a cherry! His droll little mouth was drawn up like a bow, And the the teeth held within were as white as the snow;
The stump of a pipe he held tight in his teeth, And the smoke it encircled his head like a wreath; He had a broad face and a little round belly, That shook, when he laughed like a bowlful of jelly.
He was chubby and plump, a right jolly old elf, And I laughed when I saw him, in spite of myself; A wink of his eye and a twist of his head, Soon gave me to know I had nothing to dread;
He spoke not a word, but went straight to his work, And fiddled with all the couplings; then turned like a jerk, And laying his finger aside of his nose, And giving a nod, great gobbs of booger came out on his clothes;
He sprang to his sleigh, to his team gave a whistle, And away they all flew like the down of a thistle. But I heard him exclaim, ere he dove out of sight, "HAPPY DOCKING TO ALL, AND TO ALL A GOOD-NIGHT!"
~
Nick walked slowly down the corridor. He rubbed his arms in an effort to warm himself up in the frigged hall. The breath he breathed lingered for a couple seconds and disipated ~gonna have to fix that today~
Once back his quarters he noted the computer was blinking a message to him. It was from engineering noting that he should come down asap as there was a rather large mess wrapped around the warpcore, attached were a series of pictures. Someone had gone to the task of toilet papering the warpcore quite intricatly. He let out a sigh and resigned himself back to bed. He crawled back under the covers and curled up next to L'Ola. Nothing would bother his sleep for the first time in months.

In her quarters, Sonak reviewed the PADD's with the messages Meylor had given her earlier. After a quick scan, she had ok'd Meylor to distribute them to the people they were addressed to. There were a few that had been addressed to her and she kept them behind. After putting the children to bed, she and Jatan snuggled together on the couch to read the messages.
Surprised, Sonak looked up after reading one of them. "Seliv made captain of the Vesuvius-C," she noted, and Shanna got married." It was very strange for them to read the messages from the future, and Sonak felt a lump rise in her throat as she read a message from the future's Sevus, about T'Kimi's death. "I am very glad they came to a rescue," she told Jatan, after they had read the last messages, "most of what they have informed us of, will not come to pass in this universe now. I will have to go down to the brig area tomorrow to have a little chat with Kate. Ovbiously, she has been lying to us."
The couple stepped into bed several minutes later, and after whispering a few caressing words, they fell asleep.
"Mother mother!" a small voice shouted, and a second later, two separate weights bounced down on the double bed. Beside her, she heard a grunt as the children bounced up and down on the bed, trying to wake them.
"Careful," Sonak warned, "we are awake now, no need to jump anymore." The older twins instantly stopped bouncing. "Seliv is awake," 5-year old Sevus told his mother.
Sonak sighed, stepped out of the bed and walked down to the other bedroom. Indeed, the toldler stood upright in bed, holding up his hands in a plea to be picked up. She picked up her son, checked on Shanna and to her satisfaction noticed that the girl was still asleep. She carried the toddler back to her own bedroom, where the other twins had managed to wake Jatan up fully. She smiled as she noted his sleepy, but happy expression, and stepped back into the bed, settling Seliv between them.
The little boy held out his hands to Jatan. "Da!" he cried, then made laughing sounds.
Startled, Sonak looked from her son to Jatan, and back to his son. "If I had a wooden shoe, it would possibly have broken just now," she said, deliberately messing up the human metaphor, "did he just say 'da'?" She smiled at Jatan. "It is only fitting that he does," she went on, "even if he has not even spoken the word 'mother' or a variant thereof yet. You do not mind, do you? You practically are fulfilling that role for them."

<Just to tie up a few loose ends>
Jenna wandered into the Astrometrics Lab to check things were in order after the battering the ship had been given.
She stopped dead in her tracks when she noticed someone else already in the room, but carried on again to see if they were okay.
Lucy sat as if she were frozen solid, a mixture of expressions of shock, anger and queasiness across her face. The only movement came from the tears running down her cheeks.
When Jenna looked up at the screen she saw the end of a transmission from Romulan Space.
Realising that someone else was in the room, Lucy turned around to see who it was. "Oh, sorry Jenna. I'll go and move out the way now." she said, her breathing slightly irregular from trying to hold back tears.
Jenna shook her head, "No, you're staying right where you are. You can't go through the ship in that state."
Reluctantly Lucy had to agree, so she sat back down.
There was a moment's silence as Jenna sat down and waited for Lucy to start talking.
"Have you ever wondered what it would be like if you never existed?"
"I did when I was about 10, but nothing really since then."
"I've been thinking about it for about a year. Since mum heard that the Vesuvius was going back in time. I didn't realise that I'd end up here over 15 years before I would have been born in the other timeline."
"So is that why you're here, in case you never existed?"
Lucy nodded, "I think Nick figured the chances of me being born in this timeline would be slim to none, what with all the differences. But I don't think anyone realised just how low the chances would be."
"What's happened? And what was that message you had playing? Lucy, I don't want to report this, but we shouldn't be eavesdropping on other ships."
"That message was from Romulan central command to all Romulan ships, as well as to the Federation trade headquarters. It was to announce the capture of a group of smugglers who have been working in and out of Romulan Space for a few years."
"Smugglers?" Jenna was confused, she couldn't see how the pieces fitted together.
Lucy nodded, "Yeah, they captured 5 of them. The Captain of the ship was killed in the fight between the ships. Look, they even attached a picture of him."
She loaded up a picture onto the screen. Jenna looked at the picture, then at Lucy, then back at the picture. Her eyes widened.
"You guessed it. In my timeline he wasn't captured by the Romulans until 15 years from now, and even then it was because two of his crewmembers turned him over. No one could have predicted that an injured science officer could make that much difference. I guess I'll just have to live with the fact that the chances of me being born into this timeline are now definitely zero."
Jenna stepped over to Lucy and gave her a hug, "At least you're here. You've been given the chance to have a life."
"True, but everything's so strange here."
"Where did you grow up?"
"Vulcan, with my mum's foster parents."
"I'm sure they'd let you stay with them for a while if you wanted to. It might help to get things in order, and then you could work out what you wanted to do."
Lucy thought about it for a moment, "That's not a bad idea. I'll contact them later and ask about it."
She stood up and started to walk out the room. She turned back, "Thanks Jenna"
Jenna smiled, "Any time" she started to check up on the data logs of the lab.
Lucy was almost out the door when she turned around again, "Umm, Jenna. I don't really have anywhere to go. I don't suppose you could use a hand?"
"Well if you can bypass the lockouts and use the technology in here, I'd say you're qualified."

"hmm death of mate" Nodding she set the PADD Down still no word from her fiancee Mike , she waited till she reached the Jefferson then she will speak with him , and mabye hurt the captian minorly
Throwing the padd against the wall with a sigh and then picked up another and started to read when her chime rang

"Just came to drop this off," he said, wielding a large cylindar. "Apparently the transport operator thought it was for the engineering department. They couldn't have been more wrong." He said with a smirk. Strife slightly blushed, "Thank you commander."
"Oh and welcome aboard the Vesuvius. It's good to see this office finally filled. Been vacant since launch."
"It's going to take some getting used to. The Jefferson was a much different ship. Hopefully with time I'll be able to call it home."
"It'll be that in no time. Well I've got more work to attend to so I'll see ya around."
"You too, oh and thanks for umm dropping this off," she said with a nervous chuckle. Nick teasingly winked and walked out the door.
Minutes later he arrived in his office 4 decks down. It was the first time in ages he'd not needed to do anything. All his staff was assigned to their respective teams and everything was going great. It managed to free some time for him to read the message from the future. He pulled it out of it's case and plugged it into his monitor.
"Well bud here we are. You've finally managed to get your staff off your back so you can watch this," the recording started. The older Nick smirked the exact smirk his younger self had on at that moment. "Life sure has been hard these last years. Losing the ship, losing the crew around me as an intergalactic war started. The hardest thing was losing her." Nicks heart stopped momentarily as the words sunk, L'Ola. "I've spent the last 30 years developing technologies to change what has happened. Every day I wake up and think to myself how different would this be if things had been different."
OOC: gonna continue tomorrow. going to bed now...

<from sonaks last post>
After exchanging a kiss and 'good night' with Sonak, Jatan snuggled into his pillow and almost immediately fell asleep.
His dreams of the last mission had been keeping him awake recently but now he was free from them and was dreaming of being trapped in a lift full of chocolate and marshmallow ice cream, but without a spoon. Bizarrely suddenly Martens appeared, who was carring a 10 gallon barrel of chocolate sauce and sporting an enigmatic grin....
Through his dream he could hear distant voices, but he chose to ignore them...until the lift suddenly started bouncing up and down...and then, damn it he was awake. ~Why do I never get to finish the good dreams?!~ he wondered to himself. He opened one eye sleepily and deduced that the mini earthquake that had disturbed him from his frozen dessert dream was being caused by the older twins. In particular by a rather excitable Sevus who was peering in Jatans face and giggling.
"Wake up sleepy head!" whooped Sevus.
"Come here you cheeky thing!" replied Jatan playfully, swiping as if to grab Sevus. However, Seliv was too quick and jumped back onto the floor, laughing even harder.
Sonak smiled to herself as she returned to the bed with Seliv, and set him down next to Jatan. The smaller boy was happy and giggled to himself before raising his arms towards Jatan.
"Da!" he cried, then made laughing sounds.
Reckus' jaw dropped and he looked at Sonak then back at Seliv.
"I dont believe it!" he said.
Startled, and mirroring Jatan's surprised looks, Sonak looked from her son to Jatan, and back to her son. "If I had a wooden shoe, it would possibly have broken just now," she said, deliberately messing up the human metaphor, "did he just say 'da'?"
Jatan was puzzled and a bit lost for words. "Yes, I believe he did..."
She smiled at Jatan. "It is only fitting that he does," she went on, "even if he has not even spoken the word 'mother' or a variant thereof yet. You do not mind, do you? You practically are fulfilling that role for them."
Jatan smiled, his heart feeling somewhat proud. He was a bit taken aback but he knew the answer without hesitation.
"I would be totally honoured to act as father to the twins. I've always wanted to be a dad but never thought that it would be possible. I just hope that I can raise them to the expectations of their natural father"

Sonak gave her younger son a squeezing hug before letting him crawl through the mess of blankets and sheets, caused by the other twins' bouncing, towards Jatan. "I am very pleased to hear that," Sonak said, and moved over to lean against him lazily, "I do not want this to end, and I am indeed very grateful that our future counterparts managed to change the past. Losing you once, was quite bad enough."
She gazed up at him, kissing him lightly. "I could not bear going through it again." She smiled, as the elder twins crept towards them also, demanding to be hugged as well. She obliged and squeezed them gently. "Go wake your sister," she told them, "but be gentle about it, I do not want to hear her crying." The twins bounced away, there was little Vulcan dignity in their behaviour, but Sonak mused that they still had time to learn. ~let them be children first~ she thought. "Come, let us prepare breakfast, and then find the ship's pool. Unless you prefer a forest picknick? I would very much like this to be a family item, and you belong to this family."

Ramsden stood on the engineering deck looking at the core in its protective cocoon of bog roll and smiled, wishing he'd thought of that.
As he walked through the door to the corridor he assumed the giggling from the engineers was about the toilet paper, but he was wrong. Stitched into the back of his uniform top were the words
WIBBLE ME WILL YOU DEAD-BOY? WELL FLUFF TO YOU, LOVE MEYLOR.

Semia Cavit laid down the final PADD of the crews profiles and looked around her office it was empty, so she decided to get up and wander around the ship being 9 months Pregnant she grunted when she got up, she felt the extra bulk around her belly a little hard at times to manage. Walking though the corridors to a turbo lift she smiled, whole new ship and crew to deal with, +good thing i took phsyc+ she thought and titlted her head when she realized she got off in the engineering section of the ship
Shrugging to herself she wanted to see it anyway to she decided to take a peek at the engines. Walking in several crewmemebers ignored her all but one
"Semia...."
She turned to look who it was and her Jaw dropped and her grey eyes sparkeled with delight "Sammy?" "Sammy Ramsden?...."
He grinned "Yes and no...."
Semia's face twisted up in confusion "Yes and no..she looked at him funny" DAMN she though I for got to read his profile it was one of three i wanted to finnish
"hologram" Samuel said
"Sam....what are you saying" Semia said
<taggers you sammy> Pokes

"Well... actually... holograph."
"What do you mean?"
Ramsden grinned at her, obviously she'd been out of the loop for quite some time.
"It means I'm dead, but too damned stubborn to call it a day."
Samuel and Semia wandered back to the turbolift and up a deck to main engineering, where Nick showed off his engine and Samuel tried to decide what he thought about meeting the ever charming Miss Cavit again. He was rather glad she was... slower... thanks to her pregnancy, perhaps he could avoid being smashed into pudding for a while. ;D

ooc: I guess I'll be moving this post here...cause everybody seems to ignore the joining the jefferson thread.......a reminder: as of monday we post on the Jefferson board, not here!
It had been days now, since the Vesuvius from the future had saved the Vesuvius-A from her destruction, and saved the crew from a horrible death. After enjoying a bit of shore-leave, the crew was eager to get under way again. Walking about on Bellicose for several days made you feel like you knew the station inside out, and it made boarding the station rather dull.
Sonak had enjoyed her days off, spending time with her family and Jatan, whom she started to count as part of her family too. The twins, both of them, adored the man, and while one set still called him 'uncle Jatan' as they were used to, the younger ones had started to cry 'da' the minute they spotted him. Naturally, the word had soon been followed by 'ma'. She had been pleased that the youngest ones were starting to talk now, and the older ones were trying their very best to 'help'.
Now, however, she was on duty, reading over the latest messages in her ready room. New orders had come in from Starfleet Command. Admiral MC7 had forwarded her a message from Admiral Magellan Lin, requesting that she direct the Vesuvius to the last known location of the USS Jefferson, wich was near an M-class planet that was covered with ice. Their mission was to recover an archaeological team that had gotten out of touch.
Sonak re-entered the bridge. "helm, set course for the co-ordinates that just have been fed to your console. Mr Meylor, please inform the USS Jefferson that we are under way."
She gazed around the bridge. "Mission debriefing will commence once we reach the Jefferson. Until then, let us just get there first in once piece, shall we? Under way we shall both evaluate our MVAM capabilities and our Phase Cloak, testing both capabilities while in flight."
newly added to post:
After the meeting, Sonak had an appointment with their new counselor, Lieutenant Commander Semia Cavit, nicknamed Strife. She wondered why the woman carried the nickname. Before walking down to the office, she picked up her elder twins, we were undergoing some counseling too. Despite the fact that their father had been killed over a year ago, Claire Steenbergen, the previous counselor had deemed it necessary to evaluate them over regular periods of time. The younger twins had no such trauma to cope with, they had never known their father.
Standing in front of the office, a child on each side holding her hand, Sonak made her presence known, then waited patiently for Cavit to call them in.

Strife called Sonak and here kids in. When sonak walked in she never really met Semia face to face or why people called her strife , but she found out soon enough when she walked in there where swords mounted on the wall her desk had two twin Knives that where about 1 1/2 to 2 feet in length. Next to the knives where a picture of a man with black hair and brown eyes in a tank behind the desk was a snake on the tank labled Boa she guessed it was the name of the snake since i did not look like a boa constrictor.
"Mrs Cavit"
The woman behind the desk with loose dirty blond hair that was covering her face while she was reading looked up she had a stern look on her face and her grey eyes seem to burn almost that caught Sonak off gaurd
Drawing a deep breath and smiled "Ah yes commadore please have a seat"
She watched as the Commadore sat down adn the two children promply sat on her lap.
"Yes commadore what can I do for you ?"

"I have an appointment," Sonak said, gazing the woman over, "and I brought my children for their periodical check up." She wondered if the new counselor was aware of her personal history. Herself, she did not really wish to talk to a counselor, but upon Jatan's insistence, she had.
She sat down in the only other chair in front of the desk, and hoisted the twins onto her lap. The twins, surprised to find a new counselor, gazed at the blonde woman. "Where is aunt Claire?" Sevus asked, his voice full of wonder as he noticed the twin swords. "Are they yours, miss?" he then asked politely. T'Kimi remained silent, hiding her face in her mother's tunic.

"And believe me there wasn't going to be any letting go," his counterpart said. "Too much had been sacrificed for such foolishness. But if you're reading this then Kahlan and her team suceeded in getting us back."
Nick stopped the recording, it was all suddenly dawning on him. Kahlan...T'Pal... she'd been visiting him since the academy. It was all begining to make sense. He hit resume on the computer.
"Alot has changed over the years. Yannis has grown up to be an excelent officer, wife, and soon to be mother. In fact her commanding officer Seliv wouldn't know what he'd do without her. She and Trent Dobson eventually want to settle in the Drevan province on Tandar. I'd more prefer them to come to Earth so I can see the little one more often but hey thats what starships are for." The face on the screen seemed to soften speaking of his daughter. A slight tear formed in his eye and he moved to wipe it away. "Your future is changed for the better. Embrace it and never let go. And congrats on the promotion. Martens out." With that the screen went back to a starfleet insignia, only one from the future.

"So anyway, problem's solved!"
Jenna sat grinning. She had been offered a research job on earth, and was happy to accept it so that her and Dan could stick together.
L'Ola was happy for her friend, but she couldn't help but feel a little upset. She had had very few close friends in her life, and she hated seeing people move away.
"When do you leave?"
"Well there's another month before we both start work, but we're leaving in a couple of days to get everything set up."
"That soon?"
"It's easier than leaving after the Ves starts off again."
By the time L'Ola got back to her quarters she was mentally exhausted. She considered going straight to bed, but instead started looking through crew reports for a new assistant chief science officer.
The door chime went off. She looked up, "Yeah, come in."
Lucy stepped through the door. "Have you got a minute?"
L'Ola put the PADDs down, "Sure" She motioned for Lucy to sit down.
"I want to say thanks for your help getting to know everyone. I know must have been awful suddenly being landed with a teenager. But even though we haven't been able to get to know each other too well, it's been good knowing you're here."
Smiling, L'Ola moved forward and gave Lucy a hug, "Well it's not as if it's your fault you're here."
"Or yours. On two accounts." Lucy muttered under her breath. "Anyway, I thought I should come and tell you straight away. I was talking to your parents and they've said I can stay with them for a while. I hope that's okay with you."
"Of course it is. I think that's a great idea, it should give you chance to find your feet.
Neither of them said anything for a while.
"Well, I'd better go. I have a few things to sort out before I leave, like travel arrangements for a start. I'll meet up with you some time tomorrow."
Lucy got up and left the room, leaving L'Ola feeling like she was the only person staying where she was.
She decided to make herself more comfortable, and as she was tired she went to sit up in bed to continue her search of crew members.
The sound of the doors opening travelled through, and L'Ola sighed. "Now what?"
Nick looked round into the bedroom, "Problem?" he asked.
A relieved smile appeared on her face, "No, not at all. Just please don't tell me you're moving."
