OFF: Guess it is my duty to get the El Sal underway, so here we go!<<USS El Salvador, Bridge>> Captain Smith gave Agalacticae a brief mission update before directing him to the Helm.
Captain Smith: “Go ahead Mr. Agalacticae, she’s all yours…almost” As Agalacticae sat down and felt the leather of the chair gnashing he realized that once again this would be “his” chair. A smile appeared on his face, reflected in the shiny surface of the console, only disrupted by a few blinking lights. Thinking about what the Captain just had told him the smile however vanished quickly. The disappearance of a Nebula class starship in Sector 984 and the assumption that the USS Ronoak was destroyed was not exactly comforting. The last report of Captain Vorsky, stating something *black* on the bridge could even point into the direction of a possibly hostile threat. He could feel the tension on the ship and the desire of everyone to get underway. The anticipation of what was to come and the amazing ability of the mind to conjure more and more frightening scenarios based on so little facts made waiting the most agitating part.
Only moments after Agalacticae had sat down in his chair Mr. Gibson appeared on the viewscreen asking the El Salvador to set course for Sector 984.
oO So Aral was still on the USS Jefferson! Oo Agalacticae felt like standing up and winking at the viewscreen, thinking about all the months when he was not sure whether he would see anyone close to him ever again. Luckily the mere idea of doing so made him realize how ridiculous it would appear and prohibited him from doing so.
Smith: “Robert, set a course for Sector 984.”
Occupied by being back on a starship, seeing Aral, and all the thought in his head he didn’t realize the Captain’s request and only after the transmission from the Jefferson was terminated Captain Smith walked over to Agalacticae, tipping him on his shoulder.
Smith: “If you could be so kind as to set a course for Sector 984 and spare me the embarrassment of my orders not being followed the next time Mr. Agalacticae…”
Surprised by what appeared like the first request to set a course Agalacticae realized that he must have missed a previous order. oO Just great Oo he thought to himself – the first day back on duty and already disrespectful to his CO. oO That didn’t take you long, Bob, huh? Oo Trying to make up for his mistake he responded briefly, hoping that he would get a chance to prove his worth to his Captain at a later time.
Agalacticae: “Aye, sir. Course set. Ready to engange!”
Smith: “Well, get us underway Mr. Agalacticae”
Agalacticae’s fingers shot over the console, gently caressing it, as if it was a long-lost lover, touched for the first time. As soon as the tip of his finger engaged the four blue-silverish shining warp-coils of the Prometheus vessel he could feel the energy build-up of the ship, until it was released and the El Salvador shot into warp, following the Jefferson’s lead.

=/\= Ten forward USS Jefferson =/\= Cmdr Matthew walks to the far side of the room, pulls out a chair, and sits down. The waiter walks to him and asks what he would like. "Let me have a lemon twist on the rocks and a mug of black coffee." The waiter leaves and walks to get his order. Cmdr Matthew “ takes out her padd and taps it to read his book he downloaded. When Ensign Mike Corbett enters the bar and walks up to Cmdr Matthew "Hi are you sir “ Ok Ensign how can I help you “ Mike said. James stands up and puts up his hand, "Yes I’m cmdr James Matthew , who might you be?" He smiled and said, "Don't you remember be from the academy sir ? Its me Ensign Corbett, the one who tuck your ship operations course when you where Teaching at the Academy. I requested a transfer to here to become a junior operations officer on the Jefferson," Mike said. James became quiet for two minutes and said that he does remember him and offered him a seat. He excepted and sat down. The waiter came back and put down James 's drink. The waiter offered him a drink, but he shock his head. James looked at him and asked him about himself. He replied, "Well I grew up on a space colony Terra Venture. My parents died in a car crash when I was little and I was sent to a foster home until I was 17, when I applied to Starfleet and after four years I was posted to the Jefferson." James well Ensign I have to get back to the bridge ensign good luck on your first Deployment as James headed for the door. ------------------ Cmdr , James Matthew Executive officer USS JEFFERSON

~On the El Sal~
:: Deis had followed her fellows back onto the El Salvador and quickly split off from them, humming and heading back to her sickbay. She does feel a bit possessive of the place, its been her domain until....now. The communicator chirps as she walks in::
=/\=Commander, Doctor...dont you think you should get up here? The Bridge...Fo??=/\=, Captain Smith says.
::This suprises Deis because she had all but forgotten...she touches fingers to her comm and answers:: =/\=Aye Sir, sorry...on me way=/\=
:: she wonders how many times this whole acting FO thing is going to blindside her like this. She quickly runs out of sickbay and into a turbolift...arriving on the bridge not long after. She actually straightens her hair up before she walks through the hiss and slide doors, feeling rather nervous. This will be her first real run on the bridge since she joined the El Salvador::
::She steps inside and peers around...every single person save for the new CNO looks around at her. Most of them are wondering why the doctor is here...But the Captain helps her out and says:: Your seat is right there Commander. Why dont you take it and lets get started?
Aye Sir ::and as she sits down the ship warps, the jefferson streaking along beside like falling stars::

gAH i LOST MY POST THAT I HAVE BEEN TYPING FOR MORE THAN AN HOUR
and sorry i haevn't posted I was preparing for grad and had my grad ceremony's on fri I gradutated yay
Strife came back from sick bay, she was tired and beat she walked up to the bridge and on the way she bumped into James Matthew
“Oh hi” Matthew said “I’m the ships new XO after you current leaves” he extended his hand to shake
Strife looked at him and rose and eyebrow and said “really” she didn’t look impressed at the 6”1 man she her self was 5”9 so she wasn’t short herself without taking his hand she continued on her way when he stopped her and grabbed her arm “hey is that how you treat you superior officer? “
“By the while on this mission and after it you are not or will be my superior officer” She yanked her arm loose and then lowered her voice an active “If you touch me again and you will be singing soprano for the rest of your life” There was truth behind her cold grey eyes that made James Matthew, let go
“So you’re Strife Cavit” He said “yes I remember now , you the only one on this ship that’s pregnant and the only one that I heard that would kick the crap out of an admiral if it suited her
“So it seems” She said simply and walked off, stopping at her and Mike’s quarters she replicated a piece of chocolate cake and a bottle of iced tea stuffing the bottle in the pouch where her hand phaser normally would be she continued on, eating the cake
When she arrived on the bridge she found Gibson running over diagnostics on the phaser upgrade making sure nothing went wrong, muttering he didn’t hear her put down the plate that held the cake behind him and she tickled from behind letting out a giggle and then shouted “What the—“
He whirled around and looked into the eyes of Strife Cavit, there was a small hint of amusement behind her eyes.
“You …” She poked him in the chest
“Uh oh what did I do?” He said
“I need two of your security detail to aid me with the upgrades on the Jefferson” She said sweetly
“Oh?” He said then grinned “sure you can take Krebbes and Carter with you then” he pointed out two guys that seemed like they where fighting at their station and she watched the elbowing continue till she heard one of them “I’m gonna beat the living sh*t out of you of you don’t move over”
Strife seen and heard enough walking over to them from behind she grabbed them both by the ear realizing this was the same two that started a fist brawl in the mess hall, and Gibson made them clean it with a pair of toothbrushes as a punishment.
“YEEEOOWCH” Krebbes squealed and Carter was saying his hell Mary’s
“Okay ladies”, Strife said “Your two are coming with me”
Realizing who had them by the ear they just went limp and she let them go “yes ma’am” they said
“Good come with me then” They followed Strife to Paseks station and as they past Gibson he was grinning holding up two buckets with on hand and in the other a pair of toothbrushes,
“Look what awaits you when you two return, for fighting on the bridge” Gibson chuckled
Rushing past them the practically hid behind Strife avoiding Gibson’s crazed grin, Strife walked up behind Pasek and gave him a peck on the cheek and put a hand on his shoulder
“Hey he said how are you doing?” he said putting a hand on her rounded belly
“Excellent” Placing her hand over his and looked at the staring pair of eyes from Krebbs and Carter, she leaned in and whispered “do you have to of your guys that I could borrow for the upgrades on the El Salvador?”
“I would give you two guys, but I’d get jealous “, he joked
“Oh you….” She playfully punched him on the shoulder forgetting that it was his bad one she watched in horror as he winced in pain “Oh my god, Mike I’m sorry”
“Don’t worry about it” he gritted though his teeth though pain and he got up “I have jus t the pair for you”
As they where leaving Gibson came up to Strife with her plate of unfinished cake “You left this on my console”
“Oh thanks” her eyes widened at the thought of forgetting her cake
Strife followed Mike to the Science lab with Krebbs and Carter in two neither of the to where speaking to each other, as they entered they found to women chatting loudly and excitedly over something, and Mike cleared his throat to get their attention, they came to attention immediately
“Yes-“, the started
“Sir?” ,The Blond finished
Mike introduced them “This is Lt Arla Rees” he pointed to the who waved “and Mandy Rosen,” he pointed to the who smiled “I’m sure you two are familiar with Commander Cavit “ “Yes sir—“ Lt Rees started
“We are” Rosen finished
“Get used to one another finishing each others sentence “ Mike whispered in her ear
Strife nodded “Can I borrow you two for a couple of hours modifying the El Salvador’s weapons and navigation?”
“Yes Ma’am--” Rosen Started
“You may” Rees said
“Good” Strife smiled then she turned and looked at Krebbs, Carter, Rosen and Rees “Can you four meet me in shuttle bay one in fifteen minutes?” She asked
“Yes Ma’am” they said
“Good” Strife said “dismissed”
She went to her quarters and when she entered she realized mike followed her and he put his arms around her,
“We need to talk” He said
She turned around to face him “About?”
“Us, our child” He said “ I don’t want you to go, but I realize it may be safer for you to take the post at the academy and teach, at least there no harm will come to you and out child”
Strife’s mouth opened and shut, she turned around and she stripped down and began putting on her blue flight suit in front of him as he stood there waiting for a response, zipping up her flight suit she walked towards him and hugged him resting her head in his chest
“I don’t want to go either but this is a chance of a life time” She said
“I understand” Mike said holding her tighter “Will you come back to me”
She looked at him and smiled “Of course silly. I’m not going to let you miss out on the birth of our child”
Might gripped her tighter and then said “I love you”
“I love you to” Strife started to break down in tears and before she could react , he dropped on one knee and held her hand
“Marry me” he said
There was a pause Strife searched his eyes for something there, an excuse to say no, but she found none, she gazed down at him then said “yes”
He got up and hugged her then kissed her “I have to go back to the bridge”
She watched him go she looked out the window of their quarters for a long time watching the stars streak by then she found a stick of gum and her cap sliding her ponytail though the hole she put it on and put the gum in her mouth and headed to the shuttle bay
In the shuttle bay Krebbs, Carter , Rosen and Rees were waiting for her, blwing a bubble with her gum she looked at their confused faces
“Have either of you been in a fighter before?” She asked
They all shook their heads no, then she walked to a large object with a cover on it , they stared in wonder trying to figure out what it was, whatever it was Krebbs thought it was bigger than a runabout
Strife pulled off the cover revealing a fighter it was huge it stood about 20 meters bigger than a runabout. It had nacelles on pylons like a nova class on what appeared to be a one deck engineering hull about 40 meters long and the front had to be about 10.
Strife looked at Krebbs, “Wipe the drool off Krebbs wait till you see the inside” pressing a few buttons a hatch opened allowing them in, the flowed her and the peered inside, More drool appeared on Krebbs face,
“Oh man” he said “I’m in love”
Strife stood in the center of the pit “This ladies and gentlemen is my creation, it’s called the Charahansky fighter, she has your standard photon torpedo launchers, two of them to be exact, four pulse s, two on the from two on the back, and she is able to obtain warp nine, and possibly a little bit more if pressed hard enough” she held her clipboard above her rounded belly
“Oh…” Rees said
“Wow” Rosen finished
Strife looked at them “Rosen you take science, Rees takes engineering, Krebbs gets tactical and Carter you get ops”
The all nodded “Yes ma’am” and took their stations, while Strife said in the pilot’s seat
“Commander” Carter called “why fly the Sharahansky to the El Salvador when we could beam there”
“Because after we are to fly with them to provide whatever aid they need” Strife said
“Oh” He said
“Carter open a channel to the bridge” Strife said
“Yes ma’am” He said
“Sharahansky to the bridge” Strife said
“Bridge here” Came Gibson’s voice “Taking the Sharhansky huh? Runabouts not good enough for ya ?”
Strife grinned “Pretty much luv pretty much. permission to depart”
“Granted” Gibson said
Strife powered up the engines and lifted the silver craft towards the opening shuttle bay doors and glided it out, she pulled around and powered up the warp engines and flew after the El Salvador, The whole Journey took five minutes then they where nose to nose with the bay doors on the El Salvador
“Carter…” She was about to tell him to hail them when she was cut off
“Already done ma’am” He grinned
Rolling her eyes and thought *great now he is sucking up*
“El Salvador permission to dock” She asked
“El Salvador here this is Captain Steven Smith, I take it you here to aid with the upgrades”
“That we are sir” Strife said
“Granted I’ll meet your party in the shuttle bay”

“Thank you Captain Smith, Sharhansky out” She glided the fighter in and she landed in the shuttle bay gently then vacated the ship and stood in front of it and waited for Captain Smith to arrive
He came about five minutes later and greeted them “Commander Cavit” He shook her hand “I’ve heard quite a bit about you welcome aboard”
“Thank you sir” She smiled and accepted his hand
“I’ll take you to the bridge we can start with the navigation systems first” Captain Smith said
“Ok and we can have Krebbs and Carter start on the phasers” Strife nodded
“Sounds fair enough for me” Smith said noticing that there was a bottle of brown liquid in her phaser holster he frowned and pointed at it “Can I inquire about that?”
Strife looked down and realized that she forgot about her iced tea “Oh dear, I forgot about my iced tea”
It took Smith a moment to realize why she had it in the first place, she was pregnant. “oh don’t worry about it, if you need more just ask ok?”
“Sure” Strife said before they entered to turbo life to the bridge he asked “How far are you?”
“Month and a half” she said
He nodded and said “bridge”
There was a minute pause as all of them crammed into the lift then as they arrived they piled out, then she turned to her team and the team that was going to work with the Jefferson
Captain Smith introduced them “Commander Cavit , lt’s Krebbs Carter Rosen and Rees this is Lt Commander Jonathon Hammel assistant Chef of security, Remeti Lucas our Chief of security , and Darrin Lowe our Science officer”

<<USS El Salvador, Bridge and sickbay>>
With the arrival of Lt. Commander Cavit and the pending modifications to the El Salvador’s tactical and navigational systems there was still some time before the ships would arrive at Sector 984. Agalacticae was not exactly happy about the thought of someone tapering with the navigational systems, especially as he would not have the time to test the updated system before being in the middle of the mission…
Monitoring the El Salvador’s movements through space with no unusual readings ahead he thought about introducing himself to his new FO. He hadn’t heard Deis Irae say much since she arrived on the bridge and was quite amazed to see her gracious figure when he turned around in his chair.
Agalacticae: “Allow me to introduce myself. I am your new CNO. Robert Agalacticae, pleased to meet you!”
Irae: “Welcome aboard Mr. Agalacticae – I was just reviewing your dossier. And still being the CMO of the ship I suggest you come visit me in sickbay soon.”
Agalacticae wondered why they hadn’t found a new CMO yet, quite embarrassed that he would have to go over his medical history with his First Officer. With her being a Doctor, there shouldn’t be anything embarrassing about it but Agalacticae still felt uneasy to admit his physical weaknesses to others. He had been punched and treated by Doctors for the past months and not always in his best interest, leaving him suspicious of everyone with that profession.
Agalacticae: “Yes, ma’am” he said reluctantly, already turning to get back to his chair
Irae, having been a Doctor far too long not to pick up on the reluctant vibes from her new CNO and with time to spare during the ongoing updates added.
Irae: “Actually, Commander, why don’t you join me in sickbay right away?”
Agalacticae felt like a little boy caught doing something he wasn’t supposed to. Trying to avoid a visit to sickbay he tried to excuse himself.
Agalacticae: “But I have to supervise the updates on the navigational systems…”
Irae smiled at Agalacticae’s behavior like a fish bending in every way trying not to get caught.
Irae: “You don’t want me to order you… If you please…”
Irae pointed into the direction of the turbolift giving Agalacticae no choice but to followed her request. They did not speak much on their way down to sickbay although Agalacticae knew that he would have to tell her about his transfusion requirements every second week. When they arrived in sickbay Irae suddenly seemed much more comfortable than she was on the bridge, asking him right away.
Irae: “So, when did you have your last transfusion?”
Agalacticae was quite surprised by the question. He thought that he would be the one to break the news to her but apparently Irae seemed to be a well-prepared and dedicated physician.
Agalacticae: “Ehm…10 days ago”
Irae: “Well, let me run a quick test to see when you should have your next…”
Irae went to her desk to pick up her medical tricorder, giving Agalacticae a chance to take a look around. The instruments and the atmosphere in the sickbay reminded him of his time at the medical research facility and pearls of sweat started to form on his forehead. Quickly, before Irae had a chance to return he ran his hand over his face to hide the stress the medical environment induced. <Tag Irae>

Mike returned to the bridge just as Loskene sat in his chair. The bridge was unusually silent, probably because of the severity of the mission and lack of knowledge. Looking through a few systems and checking them Mike addressed Loskene: "Captain, do we know our ETA in the Sector 984?" "Yes, Mr. Pasek. 7 hours." "Thank you sir." Mike said tapping his comm badge. =/\= Pasek to Tomora. =/\= =/\= Tomora here. =/\= =/\= We're going to initiate a level 3 diagnostic of all information gathering and processing systems to make sure that everything's working when we get to Sector 984. =/\= =/\= Aye, sir. We're ready here. Tomora out. =/\= Mike flew with his fingers over the console and initiated the diagnostic. The computer sounded: =/\= Diagnostic initiated. Estimated time until completion: 3 hours. =/\= Mike raised his eyes from the console and leaned on it, looking around the bridge. He was just thinking about Strife and her leaving. He's gonna miss her like hell. He really didn't know what to think, whether to be furious with her for leaving or to be happy for her for getting the position she always wanted. And his kid growing up far from him was a very unpleasant thought. Anyway, he'll have to talk to the captain about marring them, and from the looks of the whole situation he'll have to tie Strife down to a chair so she doesn't skip of to somewhere before they tie the not. Going through all his memories and all the happy times they went through together he realised two things. First, it was all worth it, and second, that girl is completely nuts. Either way she was great and he loved her beyond words. Just as his mind wondered off, Mike overheard the conversation Strife and Aral had over the comm.
“Bridge here”, Aral said, “Taking the Sharhansky huh? Runabouts not good enough for ya ?”
¤ Sha..what?! ¤, Mike thought to himself. After Aral And Strife finnished their little conversation Mike asked Aral: "What's she talking about?"
Aral looked at Mike with a smile: "Oh, didn't you know? She worked on that fighter for a long time, can't believe she didn't let you in on it."
"Fighter!?", Mike was totally speechless and surprised, this info hit him like a tone of bricks, "I'm her boyfriend and she's carrying my baby and all this time she doesn't tell me her favourite pass time is to be covered in oil and grease?", as he was saying that he activated the screen on his console. " I thought that girl was missing a few screws and gears... And now I now where they are! "; Mike said as his girlfriend flew out of Jefferson's shuttlebay. Looking at the fighter that flew out Mike was.... well, surprised. Although he was very angry at Strife for leaving him out of this, and for not telling him a minute ago, when they were together, about it, he was very proud of his girl.

OFF: (Sorry for the delay between posts, my computer got virus-bashed and has been in the shop for the past week)
Savot looked up from his console as he heard the Doctor's voice enter the bridge. He smiled inwardly at the poise with which she adapted to her sudden elevation in responsibility. She was indeed a worthy friend and the vulcan was glad to be counted among hers as well.
His glance fell back across the bridge as he looked back towards his console, and he stopped his turn to face Commander Robert Agalacticae, another human with which he had formed a fast friendship and amazing working efficiency with when he had come aboard several months past. Savot felt much more confident in the outcome of the current mission with a Navigator of Robert's skill at the helm. He greeted the Commander with a firm nod and spoke to him for the first time since he came onboard. "Welcome back, Commander Agalacticae. I am pleased to have the opportunity to work with you once again."
Just then the Doctor summoned the slightly anxious Navigator to the sickbay, and Savot bowed himself out of the way and returned to his duties, monitoring the progress and effects of the modifications that the team from the Jefferson were conducting.

<<USS El Salvador, Bridge>>
OFF: Quick back-sim to Savot
Just before Agalacticae reluctantly had to follow the FO’s request to accompany her to sickbay he spotted a chance to at least delay the inevitable. Looking almost pleading into Savot’s direction on their way to the turbolift Savot seemed to get the message and promptly greeted him.
Savot: "Welcome back, Commander Agalacticae. I am pleased to have the opportunity to work with you once again."
After their last mission together where they successfully destroyed a Borg sphere a bond of mutual respect had formed. Maybe even the subtle beginnings of friendship. Looking into the tall Vulcan’s eyes, emotionless as ever, it still made Agalacticae feel reassured that with this man at the Ops they would stand a decent chance of completing this misson – and making it out alive.
Agalacticae: “Thank you Commander. Good to be back and even better to having an experienced officer like you around!”
Enjoying this much-too-short interruption of what would happen next Agalacticae followed Irae to the sickbay.

Executive Officer's Log - ~~ Cmdr ,Matthews Quarters ~~ James grinned as he began taking care of a last few details before going off shift. First thing he took care of was to notify all department heads about the upcoming staff meeting in the morning. He made sure to notify them of the location, conference Room, and the time, 1100 hours. He tagged the message as urgent and hoped all the officers involved would see the message before time for the meetings.
Secondly, he downloaded a copy of the current specs and status reports for the Meeting. He was quite excited to get back on a starship, After downloading the ship's info into a convenient data PADD, he signed off his station and left for the Bridge.

:: Deis grins brightly to Savot as she leaves the bridge. Once in sickbay she had thought "getting it over with" might help our new CNO here but obviously not. The poor man is nervous and obviously rather mortified that she ever mentioned anything about Sickbay. BUT it is her job until they replace her. Oh no...thats right. Theyre going to give someone her sickbay. But then again...this is her real chance to see if she can truely "explore". Maybe she will find what it is shes searching for::
::she calibrates the tricorder for the proper testings and then walks back up to the Commander Agalacticae. She knows by the way his eyes dart around that he would rather be anywhere else on earth. His condition is rather facinating and she wonders if anything can be done for the man...perhaps its worthy research. Theres no way they can get her out of sickbay completly. She is adamant about being allowed to Practice while serving elsewhere.:: Well, let me run a quick test t' see when ye should 'ave yer next transfusion Commander. T'will take nae a moment.
::The little woman smiles winningly at the nervous man and says:: Ye 'ave had much time in th Sickbays. Ye know tha this will sting. ::and it does. Poor Agalacticae, he jumps when the tiny needle stings the tip of his finger from the small probe she tapped him with on the end of her tricorder. With a small flash of red it also disinfects and heals up the tiny puncture wound. Deis begins punching buttons and nods looking over the display that comes up on the larger console.::
::Shes quiet for several moments reading the information and the Commander fidgets and says, after clearing his throat:: Well Doctor...Commander...um What should i call you?
:: The Doc laughs deeply...she hadnt thought of that herself:: Well. Call me Doctor fer th now. Tis me onboard nickname anyway. ::grins and then begins to read off the information:: Well then. Ye are definatly in need but aye it can wait a week. But i would prefer t give ye this transfusion a wee few days ahead. Stressful situations an such will nae help th situation. Ye will need it.
::She quiets and then looks at him again, having to ask:: Tell me. Be there current research bein conducted as t' yer condition? I would help ye iffen i can.
:: Deis is no medical lightweight and she likes a challenge. Hence a Doctor becomming am FO::
OFF: An o' me Irish accentin Commander. Ye will gain th knowin of it in time.

<<USS El Salvador, Sickbay>>
Returning with her Medical Tricorder Irae seemed quite comfortable looking Agalacticae straight into the eyes, preparing to get a blood sample.
Irae: “Ye 'ave had much time in th Sickbays. Ye know tha this will sting.”
Agalacticae: oO Of course I know, but it will be nothing compared to what I’ve already been through… And what do you know, lil’ lady, about my time in sickbay?? !? Oo
Suddenly realizing his own offensive attitude towards the otherwise charming doctor he was happy that she was not telepathic. Agalacticae knew that it was not fair to think that way about Irae, but he had a hard time hiding his initial emotions. Giving her time to go over the sample she just had collected he observed her from the biobed he was sitting on. She seemed genuinely concerned about his condition but he could not really tell whether she was worried about him as a person or merely fascinated by his condition.
Agalacticae: “Well Doctor...Commander...um. What should i call you?”
Irae: “Well. Call me Doctor fer th now. Tis me onboard nickname anyway”
Interpreting the results on the screen she continued
Irae: “Well then. Ye are definatly in need but aye it can wait a week. But i would prefer t give ye this transfusion a wee few days ahead. Stressful situations an such will nae help th situation. Ye will need it.”
Now was a good a time as any Agalacticae thought and it would cut down his sickbay visits being already there.
Agalacticae: “Well, why don´t we do it right away…Doctor!”
Surprised by Agalacticae proposal Irae realized that his anxiety of being in the sickbay apparently had nothing to do with needles, procedures or other common causes for “medic-phobia”. While she started to prepare for the transfusion she could not help herself asking.
Irae: “Tell me. Be there current research bein conducted as t' yer condition? I would help ye iffen i can.”
Agalacticae’s face stiffened from moderately friendly to formal, thinking about yet another Doctor, who though she could help “just like that”. The scars the doctors had left - not on his body, but - on his soul, were rooted too deep for him to believe her proposal.
Agalacticae: “If you just could set up the transfusion Doctor, I would be appreciate it.”
Although Irae was a professional, Agalacticae noticed a swift notion of disappointment on her face caused by his reluctant answer. But in almost no time Irae resumed her professional approach, knowing that he might loosen up at his own pace.
Irae: “Iffen ye pls lie down on t’ bed, Commander. I’ll be roit bak”
Agalacticae laid back on the biobed closing his eyes, while Irae prepared the transfusion. Starting the transfusion, Irae tended to other errands.
Irae: “Ye’ll be al’ set in 15 minutes”
Lying on the biobed Agalacticae could almost instantaneously feel the improvement of his condition from the freshly transfused blood cells. As soon as the last drop had ran into his body, Irae attended to him removing the equipment.
Realizing his previous harsh tone he sat up putting his hand on her shoulder and with a genuine smile saying.
Agalacticae: “Thank you…Doc. See you on the bridge?”
Leaving sickbay Agalacticae was not sure whether she had returned his smile. Somewhat dissatisfied that he allowed his past to interfere with his new FO he hoped that Irae would be able to glimpse through his prejudices regarding Doctors.

:: Deis, being the quiet type usually, just took the pat on the shoulder and gave her patient a curt, polite, smile, not watching as he went out. Its probably best to leave that one in peace as much as possible. She sat down and quickly marks the medical histories as to treatment. Its her job to know the full details of the mans condition but for once shes rather discouraged, so she notates the treatment in the medical records and closes out the screen::
::She sits in front of the blank screen for a few moments considering her approach if nothing else. Clearly Commander Agalacticae has had some sort of terrible experience that makes him hate her profession. Perhaps if she knew what it would bother her less. So she attends the console again and calls up his Personnel Dossier. She spends several minutes reading over it, frowning softly. It tells the general situation but it never comes close to the meat of the problem. After a moment of arguing with hersemf mentally she sighs and gets up out of her chair to leave sickbay, muttering:: Fer th Lairds sake Deis, dinna make this one of yer crusades. Ye are nae a savior.
::With that the smallish woman pops into the turbolift and instructs it:: Bridge, please. ::As it whirrs to life and movement she checks herself over. She still wears her blueish Sickbay colors but she thinks eventually a dark red one will be given to her. In her belt there are two holsters. A phaser and a hypospray. Though only God himself knows what that hypo is loaded with. Its come in very handy in the past.::
::Squaring her shoulders and letting her expression clear she steps in through the hissing doors onto the bridge. She cant help but get this lil "promotion" rush as she surveys the room. Captain Smith is looks up as she walks in and says:: Ah good, Doctor, I must make a comm, you have the bridge. ::with that he walks into his Ready room leaving Deis of ALL people in the main front room...with that one big empty chair::
::She wasnt really given time to reply so she just nods to herself and looks at the image sceen. The stars is all she sees. She cant NOT do it. Its there she has to sit in the Captains chair since things are going smoothly for the moment. Without looking at anyone she steps over to it and then sits down, shes small so the chair is not snug but WOW thats an amazing view out the front port screen. Shes got this lil crooked smile on her face and suddenly senses that shes being intensly looked at. She looks over her shoulder to the Ops station and sees the Vulcan looking at her, with a brow lifted and the ever so slightest expression of inquisitiveness. She just cant stand it so laughs out loud and then faces foreward, calming herself and saying:: So...be everythin workin arigh Gentlemen? ::grinning like a fiend::
OFF: Capn...you can call the phone company or Remeti Lucas or whoever and feel free to come right back. i just HAD to sit in the chair LOL!

<<USS El Salvador, Shuttlebay>>
On his way from sickbay Agalacticae could not resist the temptation to step by the shuttlebay. Ever since the arrival of Lt.Com. Cavit and her team Agalacticae had wondered about the vessel they used to get to the El Sal. He recalled the docking request mentioning its name - “Charahansky”. Entering the shuttlebay he walked directly over to the easily identifiable vessel - obiously was not standard Starfleet design. He marveled at the sight of the fighter. Being somewhat bigger than a runabout and with nacelles he wondered what the fighter would be capable of. His mind immediately analyzed some of the toughest maneuvers he could think of, wondering whether the design of the “Charahansky” would be able to do them, thinking about his childhood and his obsession with speed and the desire to take whatever vehicles to its limits.
Gently walking all around the vessel he heard the doors to the shuttle bay open. The woman he had not seen before walked straight up to the fighter and as soon as she spotted Agalacticae in a somewhat possessive voice asked.
Cavit: “Can I help you with something?”
Obviously this woman knew the fighter and Agalacticae figured that she must be the person in charge of the team from the Jefferson.
Agalacticae: “Miss Cavit, I presume? I’m CNO Agalacticae…currently caught op in admiring the fighter you arrived with”
Cavit looked at him for a moment being a bit puzzled by the fact that the reason for him being in the shuttlebay was her fighter.
Cavit: “Yes, I’m Lt. Com. Cavit”
Agalacticae: “So how do your upgrades of the El Sal come along? I hope you have planted a detailed description of the modifications of the navigational system for me. I hate surprise, when it comes to my ship.”Cavit: <response> Agalacticae: “And would you mind telling me who created this vessel? I have not seen it before, the closet resemblance being the nova-class.”Cavit: <response> Having difficulties hiding his desire to take the Charahansky for a ride he could not resist the temptation of asking
Agalacticae: “With your permission – when our mission is finished – I would love to take it for a test flight?” <Tag Cavit>

Savot lowered his inquisitive expression and immediately went to business as usual mode at the sound of Irae's status request.
"Affirmative, ma'am. All systems are operating within normal standards, and as yet the modifications being conducted to weapons and navigation have not had any ill effects on the ship. We are maintaining parallel course alongside the Jefferson to the sight of the incident. I calculate our ETA at 8.42 hours at our present speed. Modification teams are expected to have completed their work within the next 6.1 hours, providing us with a comfortable window of preparation time. Status reports from the Jefferson remain steady, and positive.", the Vulcan gave his report to the excited FO, and found himself pleased at her enjoyment.
After she acknowledged his report he turned back to his console and continued monitoring.

=/\= USS Jefferson =/\= Cmdr Matthew Take Little time off from the pressures of his job and head for the ship Holo-Decks computer start Program Captain matthew002 Hollow-Deck Doors open program begins
"REPORT!", Captain Matthew bellowed through a smoke-filled bridge. Officers were coughing and struggling to perform their duties in the battle-haze on the bridge, but they were succeeding. "Captain, there is a ship coming in... it's the Horizon", Benson reported.
Aaron turned to his exec. "Did you think you'd ever be so happy to see one of THOSE?", Jake asked with an arched eyebrow. Bill's eyes went wide like a zombie and he shook his head back and forth. "MANGIONE TO BRIDGE!" "What is it, Alex?", James answered over the comm. link. "You have full impulse and navigational thrusters at your discretion, bridge", Alex reported. James did a little jig and licked his lips. "Lt. Commander Kasha... it's time to play Twister. Are you familiar with the rules?"
James asked with a smirk. A young female Ensign who was obviously familiar with the game covered her face and turned her back to contain her look of shock.
"The Horizon has engaged our lead attacker", Eden announced as the ship shook from the attacker's phaser fire. "Helm. Ahead full impulse. Navigational thrusters to X minus one-hundred and thirty five degrees. Let's play with their heads a little bit", Aaron ordered.
"Gladly sir", Kasha beamed. "Engage", Captain Matthew ordered. Sosa, the Trill science officer spoke up. "Sir... the hostile has initiated a tachyon pulse and is attempting to penetrate the Horizon's shields", Sosa announced. "Not this time", Aaron mumbled under his breath as he turned to make eye contact with his science officer. "Set up the navigational deflector to emit a graviton beam. Kasha, get ready to thread the needle. Take us back between the fighter and the Horizon. Give them time to re-modulate their shields", Aaron ordered as Kasha pushed the navigational thrusters around to the inverse angle and spun it around like a top, heading for the fighter. "Graviton beam ready", Lieutenant Sosa announced. "Make it so, Mr. Sosa", Aaron ordered when Eden interrupted.
"Sir, the Marines have just joined the party", the chief of security announced. "Sic 'em, Danville ", Aaron growled as he turned to look at the view screen. "Four fighters are taking a pass at the Toro", Eden announced. "The graviton beam was successful. The Horizon has regrouped", Sosa announced. "Helm. Right hand on yellow", Aaron chuckled. "Sir?", Kasha asked puzzled. "Kouma maneuver. Engage", Aaron explained. "Korma maneuver, confirmed", Kasha replied as she executed the maneuver. "The Toro is attacking the fighters", Eden updated. "I think the fighters have their hands full", Aaron observed. "Move us away and then turn us so we have a good view", Jake chuckled. Kasha nodded calmly. "Aye aye." Benson's voice interrupted again with a note of urgency. "Sir! Another ship has decloaked on our starboard side. It's engaging transporters. Looting like the other one", Benson announced. "SHIELDS!", James yelled. "I'm trying. They just went down again for no reason", Benson explained. "Captain, the Toro is turning. It's heading our way", Eden announced. Before Aaron could say anything, the Toro had come down on the freighter like a [word deleted]-off eagle dive bombing a snake, targeting it's weapons and propulsion systems. "SIR!! Another fighter has broken off!", Eden gasped. "On screen!", McKechnie ordered as he got up out of his XO's chair and took a step towards the view screen. The fighter was on a collision course with the Toro. "No... no... he wouldn't be that crazy", Bill commented. Aaron arched an eyebrow and watched as he bit his lip. Sure enough. He was JUST that stupid. The fighter collided into the shields of the Toro, almost rocking it violently off course. "The fighter was destroyed, no survivors", Eden reported. "Move us away. Give the Toro room to operate", Aaron ordered. Barely a moment had passed and the Toro disabled the freighter. Aaron turned to Eden. "Signal the lead fighter. Tell them they have one opportunity to give up, or else", Aaron said firmly. COMPUTR INTERUPES CMDR MATTHEW YOUR WONTED BACK ON THE BRIDGE =/\= computer End hollow-deck Cmdr Matthew 002 Program =/\=

OFF: The mission has been going on for almost 3 weeks and we haven’t even made it to Sector 984, so now I am taking the liberty to get us there! <<USS El Salvador, Bridge>> After Strife Cavit and her team had returned to the USS Jefferson, Agalacticae started heading to the bridge. Somehow Cavit’s answer to whether he could take the Charhansky out for a ride left Agalacticae in doubt if she declined or agreed to his proposal…
Arriving on the bridge his view glanced around at everyone present. Savot was working relentlessly as ever at his station and although Agalacticae knew that it would probably make Savot feel a bit awkward he could not resist the temptation putting his hand on the shoulder – in a way trying to tell him without words how much it meant to him, having a know face around. At the tactical console stood a woman he had not met before, the El Salvador’s tactical officer Remeti Lucas. Agalacticae only felt it appropriate to step by briefly and introduce himself before returning to his station.
Agalacticae: “Allow me to introduce myself; I’m Robert Agalacticae, your new CNO”
Lucas introduced herself accordingly and before Agalacticae sat down in his chair he also looked directly at the center of the bridge looking at his First Officer and Doctor Deis Irae. At first she did not notice him but eventually she looked up into the navigator’s eyes. Agalacticae smiled to her as reassuring as he could in an attempt to let her know that everything was fine, despite what happened in sickbay. Agalacticae would just need some time to adapt to the new situation.
He sat down in his chair and started checking his console to see what changes Cavit’s team had made to the navigational systems. Getting him self updated on the latest changes he noticed Captain Smith returning to the bridge, taking the most popular seat on any ship – right in the middle. For the first time experiencing most of the crew being present on the bridge and the friendly, yet competent atmosphere made Agalacticae feel comfortable.
The two ships glided silently through the dark and cold space like two artificial metallic strangers roaming the universe. Just looking at the passing stars, that almost seemed like stardust making way for them Agalacticae relaxed with an inner feeling of peace. This is what he loved so much about space and piloting a spaceship. Lost in his thoughts and updating him self on the detailed specifics of Cavit’s modifications they soon were in range of Sector 984, prompting the senior staff of both ship’s to take there positions, thereby also interrupting a first officer’s holo-deck program…
Agalacticae: “Captain, our ETA is 30 minutes!”
Smith: “Acknowledged Mr. Agalacticae – please coordinate with the USS Jefferson our mutual approach to the area”
Communicating with the Jefferson’s CNO Xio Naeli he got the order for both ships to drop out of warp simultaneously. Although Naeli was a less experienced officer than himself they made a perfect maneuver together, like two swans touching the surface of a lake in perfection motion at the exact same time.
Agalacticae: “Captain we have dropped out of warp at safe distance from the USS Ronoak’s last know position – Commodore Loskene asks us to slowly approach the area together with his ship and collect as much data as possible”
Smith: “Agreed Mr. Agalacticae, follow the Jefferson’s lead and keep me updated of any changes. All stations report!” OFF: Keep the reports rolling so we can keep our CO’s busy!

It had taken Harrias only a few days to catch up with the USS El Salvador, but a lot longer to get their attention. Either no-one was manning the communications system, or he was having problems with the comms on his ship. He was in no mood to try and figure out which one it was, and instead, simply put it onto automatic, and sat in his high velocity shuttle tucked in above the Prometheus class vessel. The very same one that he had commanded, what was it two, three months ago now? He was sitting there for about fifteen minutes, being dragged along inside the warp bubble of the larger vessel before a voice filtered through the comm.
=/\= Shuttlecraft, t'is is Lieutenant Commander Irae, please identify ye'self. =/\=
Harrias chuckled upon hearing the familiar voice, he had missed them when they had been on Starbase, having been busy trying to stop ambassadors and archaeologists trying to kill themselves, but now he had caught up with them, he wanted to do a little catching up.
=/\= Hey Doctor, I hear they promoted you First Officer. Well done on that. Now... will you let me back onto my damn ship. I know, I know it's not mine any more... =/\=
She laughed back at him,
=/\= Ah've 'eard t'at ye brought me a symbiont t' take a gander at too. =/\=
=/\= If you're a good girl. =/\= Again the laugh,
=/\= Come on in Commander. =/\=
Harrias let the shuttle pilot itself into the shuttlebay, where he noticed another, bery non-standard shuttle sitting next to where his had set down. On exitting the shuttle, he looked at it intently, and then made his way up to the bridge without even thinking about the direction. He had only captained her for a few weeks, but he knew the layout and feel of the ship as if he had lived his whole life there. He met a fair few crew members on the way that he knew, although he had forgotten many of the names. He made a note to learn them all again, and then was on the bridge, looking at his old first officer, now wearing the four pips that used to rest on the trill's neck.
"They suit you Steven."
"I thought so. That black one that you are sporting is just so out of fashion."
"Ah well, I've never been the most fashionable person. Commander 1st Class Harrias Jira reporting for duty as Chief Engineer, Sah!"
Captain Smith passed him a collection of PADDs and readouts. "Get to it then officer."

<<USS El Salvador, Bridge>> As the two Starfleet vessels slowly were approaching the USS Roanak’s last known position and everyone on the bridge was tense and silent in anticipation of the first report of unusual signs, Savot was the first to break the silence. He had everyone’s immediate attention and Agalacticae too had noticed the tiny spot on his sensors approaching the El Salvador from behind.
Savot: “Sir, we have a small vessel approaching at high speed from behind!”
Irae: “Hail it! Prepare to go to yellow alert!”
Although the request to go to yellow alert under normal circumstances would be somewhat over-cautious, everyone on the bridge was only happy for precautionary measures, still having the last transmission of the USS Roanak in mind. As the hailing frequencies were opened Irae immediately addressed the vessel that appeared to be a federation shuttle.
=/\= Shuttlecraft, t'is is Lieutenant Commander Irae, please identify ye'self. =/\=
The unorthodox reply came swift and powerful and should prove to be yet another surprise for Agalacticae on the already eventful mission.
=/\= Hey Doctor, I hear they promoted you First Officer. Well done on that. Now... will you let me back onto my damn ship. I know, I know it's not mine any more... =/\=
Thinking back about the time on the El Sal, freshly from the academy, he did not pay attention to the rest of the conversation until he was spoken to.
Irae: “Mr. Agalacticae. Full stop and inform the USS Jefferson of the short delay, since we have to pick up someone"
Agalacticae: “Aye, sir!”
Soon after the Shuttle had made its way into the save haven of the Prometheus class vessel Commander Harrias appeared on the bridge to be greeted by Captain Smith. A few kind words and a stack of PADD’s later Harrias was about to leave the bridge to head for engineering. OOC: Great to have you back Ben, couldn't imagine the El Sal without you!

The trill was just leaving the bridge when he heard the easily recognisable pangs of Robert Agalacticae's voice. With the spring now in his step, he turned to him, and with a wide smile jovially replied.
"Merci, bon monsieur. When the hell did you come back? I never even noticed you on the ship's register."
The navigation officer grinned back at him.
"Oh... I don't reckon I've been added onto it yet."
Harrias laughed and then snapped off a mock salute before heading down to Engineering. On his arrival there, he caused Kivan to drop a spanner into the warp core.
"I'm not so sure that is good for the mix Lieutenant. Now what have you lot managed to do to my ship. I can tell you now that the ship is listing by about 5 microns. The SIG-5 seems to be a bit underpower too, I suspect the crystalline gulium fluoride inner lining is a bit thin, maybe if we replace it? Send out a memo to every department, ask them if they have any quibbles or qualms. I suspect that Mr Agalacticae will have a few things to tell us, the navigation officer's always have a more sensitive touch than the rest of us." In the time that it took him to say all of this, Kivan had only managed to move a few centimetres. Harrias smiled once more. "Well? Get to it man!"
Harrias himself decided to check out something else that had been bothering him. He had a feeling, and a few of the readouts on the PADDs had agreed with him, that the verterium cortenide 947/952 coils were not working at the rate they should be. He ran a few checks from the console that he had taken over, and soon found that there was indeed something wrong in the general area that contained the coils. Unfortunately, he couldn't be sure it was the verterium cortenide. He frowned, and set the computer running a more in depth scan. As he looked up from the computer he saw Commander Savot standing but a couple of metres from him. He jumped slightly, but recovered rapidly.
"Commander, you're looking... well, Vulcan actually, you look barely different, although it appears that your have changed your hair slightly?"
The vulcan raised an eyebrow. "Indeed. I have the report you requested."
"Report? Already, but I only sent the memo, what 4 minutes ago?"
"3 minutes 21 seconds and..."
"Okay, okay... I get the idea, thanks." Commander Jira accessed the report, and his eyes slid down, scanning through the information he was being given. He hum and nodded a couple of times before looking back up. "Thank you for your alacrity Commander."
"That is... okay Commander. Welcome back." Harrias shook his head at the rigidness of the Vulcan, then laughed at him.
"Alright then, out, out! Let me get some work done, I'm sure you have some to do." And he shepherded the somewhat comfused Vulcan from the room.
OOC: Well, you know what they say... ummm... well, I don't but something that means you lot are all really great, and I couldn't possibly stay away?

<<USS El Salvador, Bridge>> Harrias had barely arrived on the El Salvador, when Agalacticae received a memo regarding the navigational system. Still as hard-working as ever he thought to himself with a smile. With the recent modifications Cavit had made to the ships tactical and navigational systems he needed some time to adjust and give it a chance…besides one thing…although a lot of the modifications made the navigation more automated and precise Agalacticae noticed an almost non-detectable delay in the ships response to his manual commands. Not knowing whether that was due to some calculating matrix step between his input and the computer’s response he kindly asked Harrias to get rid of it as soon as he could…
Resuming their previous course, the two vessels were close together and alert, at any time ready to break formation and split apart like an arrow split in two – an idea Xio Naeli had come up with in anticipation of an event. Focusing his eyes on the viewscreen directing the El Salvador on a slow but steady course following the path of the Roanak…
Nothing seemed to happen so far…the silence was almost unbearable. Something had to be out there…the last transmission of the Roanak was just too horrible…yet, nothing happened. Both on the Jefferson and the El Salvador you could see the commanding officers looking anxiously to their CTSO’s and COO’s, their eyes alternating between the different stations to receive a report of something unusual – anything!
Agalacticae monitored the course of the Jefferson and the navigational sensors…nothing…just the two ships gliding peacefully through space. Just when he started to question the reliability of the Roanak’s transmission his concentration was for a small moment distracted from the screen. As soon as his eyes went to take a look at his console, it felt like he saw something from the corner of his eye. Focusing his eyes on the area of the screen he could not see anything but a few bright shining stars… Dismissing it as a slip of his mind he decided to check the sensor readings once more and as soon as his eyes moved off the screen the same phenomenon occurred again.
Like something black moving and darkening the stars on its path…strangely covering only the dim stars. Those you on a clear night only can see when you don’t look at them directly…
He once had gotten an explanation for that phenomenon…the periphery of sight being more sensitive to register light impulses, but at a much lower resolution…could it be that what he observed had something to do with this phenomenon? Looking to the side of the viewscreen instead of directly on it he could see it again! There could not be any doubt. A shade of black slowly moving from the lower left corner of the screen towards the middle than again disappearing out of sight at the bottom…
Looking at what appeared to be his newly assigned CNO dozing off during the mission Captain Smith wondered why he couldn’t get some decent officers assigned to his ship. He sighed to himself, thinking that this probably was the curse of a newly assigned CO… He addressed his navigator with a grave and commanding voice.
Smith: “Mr. Agalacticae - having a hard time concentrating?”
Agalacticae, distracted from his effort of non-focusing on the moving object lost sight of it and replied to his CO.
Agalacticae: “No, sir, I have just…”
Smith: “No excuses – just keep your eyes straight!”
Agalacticae wondered if what he saw could have something to do with his medical condition, having just received a transfusion. Still, concerned by what he saw he sent a message to the officers he trusted and who wouldn’t put him off as hallucinating, asking them to try to “look” at the screen, not focusing on it…
Three messages left the navigators console: one to Savot, one to Harrias and a last one to the Jefferson’s FO Aral…
OFF: Thought it could be fun introducing this natural phenomenon of the eye…please feel free to either pick up the thought or dismiss it, attributing it to Agalacticae’s condition…

As Harrias moved back to his console to check on the progress of the newly initiated deep scan, the workstation started to bleep quietly. Expecting a report from one of the other departments, he glanced at the sender before opening it, and indeed it was from Commander Agalacticae. However, once opened, the trill was somewhat surprised to find, not a request to sort something out, but instead a request to look sideways out of a viewscreen. Harrias frowned, wondering whether he had time to play games with Robert, but in the end decided that it couldn't harm to bring one up on his large viewer and just try it to humour the guy, and besides, he had a lot of respect for the Navigation officer who had saved his life on a few occasions. With the viewer in engineering now showing the same image as the one from the bridge, Harrias looked forwards at it first, and saw nothing.
He then turned his head slightly and started to look at the screen out of the corner of his eye. He then cast his gaze around the screen without moving his eye, but saw nothing. He started to turn away from the screen, but then, just as the screen was at the far extreme of his vision, he caught a glance of some movement. He couldn't define exactly what he saw, but...
It appeared not be a moving object, so much as a moving lack of object. Something was moving around out there, obscuring the stars. Harrias' eyesbrows lowered, and he tried it again, and again, he could see it. He moved back to his console, and sent a short message back to the helmsman, confirming that he had seen something.
