Hey Everyone,
As those of you who read the minutes will know, at the recent CSS meeting some fairly important changes were made to the Academy.
First of all, Admiral Karynn McCormick has been named as the new Site Executive Officer, and promoted in rank to Fleet Admiral, and I have been named as her replacement as Head of CCS. This means two things for the Academy, first, Fleet Admiral McCormick is standing down from her position as Third Fleet CO and secondly, I am no longer the Academy Commandant.
Now before you all start celebrating that the evil overlords of the Academy are gone, you should also know that I have been named as Admiral McCormickβs replacement as Third Fleet CO. This means that I will continue to serve in the Academy, but mainly in a supervisory capacity, offering advice and guidance to both the ACS and the new Academy Commandant. As Site XO, Admiral McCormick will also have the role of assisting in the supervision of all CSS departments, so in effect the evil overlords of the Academy are still around, we just have different titles now.
In regards to the position of Academy Commandant, Admiral McCormick and I have recommended to CSS that until a replacement is named, Academy Public Relations Officer Commander First Class Konal Manto be named as Acting Academy Commandant. CSS have agreed to this, and so from this moment Commander Manto will fulfil the role of the Commandant until the appointment of an official replacement. I am also naming Commander Manto as Acting CO of the Hepta and all training missions until further notice. I am sure that you will give her the same level of support and commitment that you have given me.
I think that all that is left for me to say is a massive thank you for all of your support and dedication. It has truly been a pleasure and a privilege to service both as Academy Commandant and Hanson/Hepta CO. I would also like to express my thanks and best wishes to Admiral McCormick, someone who has truly helped make the Academy what it is.
Best wishes,
Admiral (did I forget to mention my own promotion? ) Paul Drew,
Third Fleet CO.
P.S. Commander Manto, I am moving the desk for the notetaker (Captain Nack) to the Academy Offices, we just donβt have enough space in the CCS Offices.
