also, zenith also refers to a peak- the highest point, the goal. It's a loaded word.
Besides, why do want a STARSHIP named after a goddess of the earth?

The "arika" class is named after the Japanese p cartoons how about the "ship" class or the "class" class.

I will admit, I've always thought that using Roddenberry's name, or any of the other staff, is a bit tacky. Okay, a lot tacky!

Once again, this is for the class of ship, not the actual name of the ship itself.

Im sorry, but dont patronise me. I DO know these things....I am just trying to steer you back on topic. We are talking about CLASS not ship......We may come up with a class name, yet still use a different name for the ship that actually becomes the flagship.

For the love of god.....listen to me. For a start, I dont like your attitude, so you had better calm that down first of all.
For example, we come up with the 'Silver' Class for the ship (just as an example), but the ship that is built will possibly have a different name. Not necessarily, but it may happen.

For instance we may not use the first ship made from that class, since it's possible (IC) we would want the ship class to be tested and have functioning models before we make it our flagship.
So if the ship is named Roddenberry the first ship might well be named Roddenberry as well, but we might not use the first ship of the line.

Time for a French joke I guess...
I propose the "USS Charles de Gaulle". But it implies to build the launchbay doors too tiny for the shuttles to go out... As a tribute to present French aircraft carrier Charles de Gaulle which was launched at first with a deck too short for planes to land or to take off.

Now the only thing I know related to that name is the airport where one of the Air France Concorde's crashed nearby shortly after takeoff.

So if the ship is named Roddenberry the first ship might well be named Roddenberry as well, but we might not use the first ship of the line. Well, that would fall with tradition. Not to say that the first ship of the line is not used, but it is rarely the better known ship in the class. Therefore, you could assume that the first one is like a dummy ship ... so whatever the name of the class is, then the dummy ship will be, and then you have another ship of that class that you proclaim to be your flagship.

Constitution, (enterprise easally most famous, constitution's existance subject to debate)
Constallation (stargazer), Oberth (grissiom perhapsm, no well known vessels)
also try the Galaxy class (Enterprise), the AMbasitdor class, Sovergn class, te akira class (only one ever seen onscreen was in fact, the Uss Thunderchild
also the freedom class USS firebrand, Niagra class uss melbourne, so on and so forth.
Final frontier (the novle) presents a veiw of the Connie: that the first was the enterprise because the constitution, contract number 1700, was never made because between planning and building, it became a whole new ship due to the number of upgrades. thus it's regestry was 1701.
We could use something like that here too.
