:: Deis goes to speak, but Savot speaks first and its a good thing. He seems to understand the vibe of these people. Hearing the "challenge" causes her eyes to widen. Primative childbirth in a HUT??!! Would she dare use her disguised tricorder. She might have to if there are complications. Luckily for her she knows a lot of old healing lore from many MANY cultures. Medicine having sort of taken over her life after the death of her parents. She shakes herself from her reverie as Savot looks round to her and nods, she nods back and looks down, thinking at least these guys are humanoids without tentacles.::
::The three intrepid disguised away teamsters walk surrounded by the guardian men. Deis looks up into the face of one and he looks away from her as though afraid...she hopes that healers and holy women arnt the same thing in this culture. That is often true for many. The village of huts stills as the group nears it. Every person stopping and staring at the strangers. Deis tends to avert her gaze from them all, not wanting to draw further notice to herself, though she recieves many stares as do Savot and Remeti.::
::They are ushered into the lead mans hut, tall an wide of girth, the most prominant hut in the village of course. Once inside we see several women gathered around a low pallet near the rear of the hut. The Leader speaks to these women:: Begone matrons. A healer is brought for my poor Sinaia. ::Then the leader turns to the trio:: Do not fail.
::with that he leaves, the women flanking him, staring as they leave. The thatched door of the hut is closed and the three of them are left with a piteously moaning woman...the tribal woman is pale like the men, with bluish braided hair, naked though covered by a hide blanket.::
:: Deis then looks at Savot takes a deep breath and walks over to the woman, who grasps her arm harshly speaking swiftly:: Please, you must help me. Without my child, i have failed. You are a healer, you must help me. ::the woman then fallws back against the pallet groaning and straining against an obvious contraction::
:: Deis kneels down beside the pallet and rolls up her sleeves, speaking back to the woman:: Worry ye nae. Listen t me words. ::then she turns to Savot and Remeti* Look ye round ye two. Get me water, cloths, a sharp blade an thread, needle if thar be such. ::lifting the cloth from the womans legs and belly to begin her observation of dialation, getting in "catching" position hoping to God that shes as good a midwife as she is a surgeon::

Savot nodded and gestured to Remeti, taking his tricorder from his things and scanning the village area for the First Officer's requests while still within the safety of the hut. The two officers marked the location of each item, and Savot put his tricorder away, "Lieutenant Lucas, proceed to the eastern half of the encampment and aquire the blade and thread. I believe there was a clothworker's hut within that half of the village. There is a river to the west where I can gather the water, but you should perform the nearby tasks as I am reluctant to isolate the Commander within a potential hostile environment. I shall return as soon as I can, and suggest you do the same. The people should respond to your questions. Do not fear or show apprehension; appear confident in your work or they may become anxious as to the health of the child."
Remeti nodded and headed out immediately to her assigned duties. Savot turned and spoke before leaving, "Deis, if you must utilize technological implements I would ask that you attempt to wait until either I or Ms. Lucas have returned so that one of us can watch the entrance to the hut. As such I shall endeavour to return as soon as I can." With that he picked up a bucket by the entry flap and whisked away to the river.
*************************************
As he walked towards the border of the village, Savot looked about calmly but with intense fascination. It was quite interesting to experience a period that has been recorded in many different races. Nearly every planet that contained a significant amount of bronze metal had experienced a period such as this, with nearly the same anthropological results. As he neared the river, he saw the women of the village beating blankets with large sticks, hanging from thick vines in between trees. He nodded politely to them but otherwise remained silent as he approached the river bank. He dipped the bucket quickly into the water, the maw facing the oncoming current so as to fill more quickly.
The bucket filled quickly enough, and Savot rose from the riverbank, nodded once more to the women, and walked back into the village. Upon arriving back at the chief's hut, Savot noticed the chief and those warriors, apparently holding the highest position within the tribe, milling about outside the hut, constantly staring at it. Dipping his head under the brim of his hat, Savot walked back into the hut with the bucket.#nosmileys

::It dosent take long for Savot and Remeti to return with the things she needs. Which is good because this poor woman is fully dialated and probably has no idea that shes giving birth to a hefty pair of twins. Deis dosent speak to the others again but rather focuses on the task at hand. With the water she washes her own hands, drying them on a bit of the cloth that remetis brought her.::
::she massages the womans belly, legs and center, trying to help ease the passageway for the lil youngens to come through. Savot, perhaps, would notice the odd kind of rythem to which Deis and the birthing woman move. When the birthing woman takes in a deep breath, so does Deis. As Deis kneels there, the womans water finally breaks, the poor tribal leaders lady gasping out for her pain is very great::
::Really it is a waiting game, intersperced with Deis massaging the womb of this woman, reaching far in to ensure these babies are positioned correctly. Washing her hands several times as she must continue to do this. After nearly an hour of this the woman screams out rather loudly:: I must push, i must i must!!
Aye...push now. Come, up, get up :: Deis says to her...she dosent bother with her tricorders. This is simple nature, something that women must experience. The pains will be forgotten as soon as the faces of the newborns are shown. Deis ggoes close to the woman and helps her up into a rather uncomfortable squatting position. Clearly the women of this tribe are hardcore when it comes to things of this nature. The womans hair clings to her face in sweat slickened locks of blue greenish hair. Deis kneels right next to her, an arm round her back to help hold her steady.::
::the work of the birth begins to take on a rythmic sort of chant...oddly parallel between this strange primative woman and the small Healer that helps her. Deis pants with her in breath, her body rocking just like the primative leaders woman does. The breaths, the words all match. What Deis says, this woman does almost to the beat of inner drums. A beat and cadence older than time itsself, simple nature.::
Breathe, breathe...::matched panting between the two of them as Deis shows her the basics of emergency lamase.:: Ok, push, push hard ::and the woman does, Deis haned on her protruding belly, helping her to push downwards by the pressure of it. Gravity does a bit of the work for her, the upright position infinatly more healthy for baby and mother than her scientifics usually say. Deis reaches down to the crook of birthwater slicked thighs and feels crownage:: HAi, yer crownin me Missy. Come now, one more...lets get th shoulders...push push push ::and again the woman does, the first of her newborns clearing the birth canal by shoulders and then hips, Deis hands waiting below the squatting woman to catch. She then looks to Remeti and says:: Come an take this first...thar be another t come..twins ::Remeti then warily takes the newborn son and begins cleaning him off with the water and cloths provided after Deis slices the cord with the lil knife brought to her. Then Deis helps the woman with the second:: Arigh...come now, let us do it again.
I cant...i cant ::the poor woman pants in heavy pain. Deis says back to her once again pressing down on her slightly smaller belly, to give pressure and help the second come into this world.::Aye ye can. ye dinna 'ave a choice. Let this one join yer son! ::the laboring woman gasps...shes given her Mate a son...he will be so proud of her. This gives her the final strength to push out the second, Deis catching this one as well and handing him over to Savot* Arigh Savot, ye be cleanin tha one while i fix up 'er highness 'ere.
::she helps ease the exausted woman back to the mat...through all of this the woman only screamed once. The rest of the pain swallowed and grunted out. She has to push one more time, to clear the placenta from her uterus. This also, she manages. And when its all over the woman looks with Gods own joy at her new son and daughter before passing out, completly healthy against the mat...just desperatly needing a nap::

OFF: Bummer...make this a backpost then! Remeti walked out of the hut and went off on her search. She headed towards the eastern part of the village. She looked around at the huts until she eventually located the clothworker's hut.
Pausing to look over the place, Remeti entered. Upon looking around the main room, she noticed that the hut was empty. Rem walked over to the far wall, and began to search for a blade and thread.
After only a matter of moments, Rem found the thread and she picked it up. Finding the blade was proving to be a bit harder. After almost giving up, Rem noticed something on the floor. She bent down to take a look, and moved a rug aside. And there is was.....the blade. Rem picked it up, and put it in her pocket. She left the hut and headed back to where Commander Irae was.

Savot took the young girl from Deis' hands and rinsed the washing cloth in the bucket before cleaning the child off. Though in modern terran society it was routine to let the mother hold the children immediately after birth, in this society they would need to present the children to the father first, and either way the mother was fast asleep from the extreme effort she put forth. Savot finished cleaning the daughter and turned to Lucas, "Lieutenant, I will take the boy now. I believe the chief will expect his son to be held by a male, and the Commander should carry the daughter as the woman who brought the children into the world."
Lucas nodded, almost eager to relinquish the delicate, fragile, being. Savot took up the boy, wrapping him in a blanket, and Deis took hold of the daughter in the same manner. Tucking the woman comfortably under her blankets, the 3 officers exitted the hut and presented the as yet still crying children to the chief. "Ah! A son! This is a great day! My wife has performed her duty better than I could have dreamed! His name shall be Anduin. And the daughter, a beautiful thing she is. Tell me, what is your healer's name?" The chief asked Savot, addressing him as a male instead of Deis herself.
Savot tilted his head and replied, "The lady's name is Deis Irae." Thinking that lying would do them little good, as even with the example of the boy's name they had heard, they would be hard pressed to guess an appropriate cultural and era-connected name. The chief turned and bowed his head over the young girl's body. "A strange name, but if it is carried by the one who aided my children into the living realm, then it is a name with honor. And in accordance with that honor I so name my daughter. She shall be Deziray. I thank you all for your aid and as promised you may pass freely through our lands from this day on. Use caution, however. My people recently heard a large thundercrash and the ground shook. We do not know what happened but there may be danger. Watch yourselves well."
Savot nodded, Deis beamed, and Lucas just looked like she really wanted to move along, so they said their goodbyes and left, crossing the river along footstones to the opposite bank. As they reached the other side, all three heard rustling in nearby bushes. They turned and two figures emerged, hidden by the shadows so one couldn't tell their race or clothing, but they spoke terran common, "No! The natives have spotted us, we gotta go! You've seen those blasted weapons they carry. I'm not taking a spear through the chest!" The other did not seem to speak but groaned in agreement, and both dashed out from the bushes and made a beeline for the crest of the hill before the Starfleet officers could say a word.
Deis ran after them first, with Savot and Remeti quickly coming up behind. "Stop ye! We're with Starfleet, we're 'ere t' rescue ye! Wait!", Deis yelled after them loudly yet with a professional air, but the 2 were too spooked to be rational just yet and they ran over the top of the hill disappearing down the other side. Deis and the others crested the hill and saw the two men darting towards thick woods about a standard terran football field's length away. A forest that looked as if a large section had been ripped down by some sort of impact...

OFF: Anduin as in the river next to Gondor in LOTR, Savot? Just curious.
ON:
Kevin sat at his station. Nothing had happened since the away team had beamed down to the planet. Captain Smith had been either standing up looking at the planet or wringing his hands as he sat in his command chair. Kevin was both bored and tired, and he finally couldn't stand it any longer.
Kevin: "Sir, I'm not a consuler, but I think you're overreacting."
Captain Smith stopped wringing his hands and looked at the CScO. Then he smiled.
Smith: "Point taken, Mr. Zimmerman. I'll... uh.... go...."
Kevin: "I loaded a really great cake onto the replicators. One of my friends on the Jefferson sent it to me. I think you'll like it."
Smith: "Yes. I'll be right back."
The Captain hurried over to the turbolift. The Lt. Commander who was at Commander Savot's usual spot sat down in the command chair.
OFF: Captain can come back anytime, obviously. I just posted it because nothing was happening on the bridge and if my character is anything like me he will be very bored right about now.

Steve made his way back to the bridge about 10 minutes after he had left.
He entered and took position in the ever-so famliar center seat.
"Nice cake there, Mr Zimmerman." He called out. Steve checked the readouts.....still no word from the surface. Now he was beginning to worry. He knew that he had no need to, as being Starfleet personnel, the Away Team knew what they were doing, but Steve was still getting worried about his fiancee.
He pressed the button for the comms, hoping that it would be only heard by one of the team, and not anyone else.
=/\= El Sal to Away team...Whats your status. =/\= Steve said, a bit quieter than normal.
For a moment, there was no response.
Down on the surface, the Away Team were chasing after the individuals. Remeti heard her commbadge chirp and just about heard the Captain's voice. She slowed her pace down just a little and tapped her commbadge under her outer clothing to reply.
=/\= Lucas here sir. We are currently in pursuit of two individuals who seemed to have just ran away from us. They have neared a forest a bit ahead of us. From here, part of that forest looks like it has sustained an impact of some sort. =/\=
=/\= An impact? When you get closer, let me know of more details. Thats all for now. El Sal out. =/\= Steve replied.

=/\= Aye S....=/\=::Remeti Lucas hits her commbadge to send back the affermative but just at that moment, when the badge is touched, there is the sound of obvious phaser fire that takes over the bridge speakers...the sound of Remetis voice coupled with another female voice making sounds of shocked pain, and then a thudding sound...then silence...obviously Savot made no sound at all. For several moments theres the sound of breathing, and then footsteps as the commbadge keeps reporting what it hears.::
::Then theres suddenly another voice, male, and very gruff, cardassian accenting to his words:: Got them. Gul Darak told us this would be simple ::wavering sound of static: HISSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS------------silence.
::At the very same time as the three below planet are taken into custody, stunned but alive, the El Salvadores sensors light up like christmas.::
Captain: The captain would immediatly see the odd grouping of 3 ships. One obviously federation, OMG its the ship we came to save. One of them a cardassian ship, another noone has any clue where it came from. Its apparently a gunship.
Zimmerman: Your console lights up as your immediatly fired upon, aiming for life support and engines. They dont want to destroy obviously, they want to disable. It comes to YOUR mind exactly what they want. They want the El Salvador.
::The three ships take up clear defensive and offensive positions::

OFF: Not meaning to poop the party, but didnt the ship that we were sent to help crash on the planet? ON: When the comm signal went silent and cut off, Captain Smith was a little shocked for a moment or two. "Cardassians." He said to himself. "What the hell are they doing here?" The more he thought about it, the more angry he got. "I will NOT let them get away with attacking my crew." Deep inside, Steve was also feeling a bit scared for Rem....he didnt want anything to happen to her. Just then, all the bridge alarms went off. Steve looked over the Tactical display, and saw that there were three ships closing in on the El Sal, weapons primed. Steve couldnt get an exact identification of the ships, but what he could work out was that there was a Federation and a Cardassian ship among them...the third ship couldnt be identified as yet. "Mr Zimmerman." Steve called out. "I need you to identify those ships now." He ordered. Steve went to his chair and opened the comms. =/\= This is the Federation Starship El Salvador. Please state you business here. =/\= Steve said, but unsurprisingly got no reply. Steve then pressed the ship-wide comms button. "Red Alert. All hands to battle stations." He knew the El Sal was able to take a beating, but in this case, the odds werent good. They needed to get the away team back AND survive the battle that was surely about to commence.

Kevin: "Sir, I have no information on what ship that is." I believe the ships may have hidden at one of the poles of the planet, but they could have been cloaked. With the obvious exception of the Federation vessel. The Cardassian ship seems slightly battered, as does the Federation vessel. The gunship is powering its weapons. It will fire in thirty seconds. The ship possess an amazing display of Quantum torpedos, many phaser banks, and disruptors. My recommendation is we leave now, if our engines hold."

"Negative, Mr Zimmerman." Steve replied. "I am not prepared to leave 3 of my crew stranded on that planet."
Steve looked over the sensor readouts, while the ship rocked a few times.
"They may have many phaser banks and Quantum Torpedoes, but so do we!" Steve turned to Kevin. "Target the smallest ship. Aim for their shield generators and weapons." He added.
The bridge rocked again, and Steve fell to his knees.
"Oh no you dont, not again." He said to himself, referring to the last ship fight he had, where he seriously damaged his knee.
"Evasive maneuvers Epsilon 14. Fire at will." He commanded, before the bridge shook again.
Already, Steve was comtemplating using the MVAM, but not yet, only as a last resort.

OFF: Wait... now the CScO is the officer firing torps and phasers? Sounds fun. ON: Kevin: "Yes, sir." The CScO fired the quantum torpedoes, full spread; Zimmerman took control of the modified torpedo (see previous posts) and flew it towards the gunship. Kevin fired phasers to lower the gunship's shields more, and the modified torpedo flew into the gunship. The ElSalv gave a slight shudder as the Cardassian ship made another run. As the gunship veered off, a small explosion was seen, and the ship began drifting. Smith: "I asked for you to tske out their weapons and shields, Mr. Zimmerman." Kevin: "Sorry, sir. I'm kinda new at this." As the Federation vessel made another run at the El Salv, Kevin successfully disabled its shields and weapons. The Cardassian ship hit the El Salv with a fresh barrage of phasers. The Bridge shook. Smith: "Evasive maneuvers Riker-Delta-four." OFF: Sorry this is rushed, but I have a huge essay I've got to do, and its my teacher's fault for not giving me the assignment on time. I hate her!

OFF: Sorry, what with the CTSO on the planet, I thought you might have liked something else to do.
ON:
When the bridge stopped rumbling, Steve got out of his chair, and walked up to the Tactical station.
"I know you're new at it Mr Zimmerman, but you are doing well so far." He said to Kevin. "Now that we have only one ship to worry about, how about we concentrate on taking it outand staying alive? Sound good?" He half asked.
As the odds were now one on one, Steve could sense success inside him. The El Sal's crew on the planet were depending on the crew on the ship to come through for them, and Steve was determined to make sure that he wouldnt fail.
"I can tell that the Cardassian ship wont be so easy. Keep our strongest shields facing the ship at all times, and fire everything we have at them." Steve ordered, opting for a 'shoot now, ask questions later' stance.

OFF: Zimmerman, as to the Anduin name, I actually hadn't thought about the LoTR reference. I got it from Sir Anduin Lothar from Warcraft 1 and 2.
ON:
********************************************** Savot blinked open his eyes, the nauseating effect of the stun blast making him slightly dissoriented. He rolled to his side slowly, pushing himself to a sitting position from there he blinked once more to reestablish his equilibrium. Savot then looked around. He had not even seen the source of the stun fire before he was taken down, so well planned had been the ambush, therefore the grinning Cardassian face just outside what appeared to be a cell of some sort was enlightening.
Savot stood up, clasped his hands behind his back, and tilted his head slightly to the left, "I regret the need to inform you that you will be arrested and brought up on serious charges for assaulting and imprisoning Federation officers. In addition, I ask why it is that you have condemned yourselves in this matter."
The Cardassian's face shifted, the eyes narrowed and he looked around nervously, "How do you know there are more here than I?"
Savot raised an eyebrow, "Please sir, my logic has been unaffected by your attack. There were multiple blast origins at the point of your ambush, and the only way to accomplish such a feat with but one person would be a series of reflective mirrors. However, even though you could anticipate us running down a certain corridor of the fields, there was no way to be certain which precise angles the mirrors would need to be placed. I ask again, why have you assaulted us?"
The guard sneered at the somewhat insulting tone taken by the Vulcan during his explanation, then rose to his feet and crossed his arms across his thickly armored chest. "You need to know nothing Federation scum. However, I take great pleasure in telling you that even now our forces are assaulting your vessel with greater numbers. We will disable your home in the stars, and take her for our own. Our fleet will grow to include one of the most powerful assault vessels of the Federation."
Savot raised both eyebrows, as though a lightbulb had been turned on, "Indeed? I must conclude then that were are prisoners for 1 or both of 2 reasons. As you stated, our vessel is arguably the most powerful combat vessel in Starfleet, therefore your force is certainly not guaranteed victory in direct conflict with her. As a result, I conclude that your forces were responsible in some way for the freighter crash on this planet, to draw our forces down in order to capture us. You likely hope that our presence here will convince our Captain to surrender if you cannot defeat him outright. A relatively simplistic plan, with an equally simplistic line of thinking behind it. As you did, I indeed derive my own satisfaction by informing you that it is Federation policy not to respond to terrorist actions. Your plan will fail. However, if you release us now and cease your attack your judgement will perhaps be more lenient."
The Cardassian, infuriated at having been prodded to give more information than he planned growled and stormed off, Savot walked closer to the border of the field to watch him leave, and just to prove it tapped his hand slightly against the empty space in front of him, indeed activating a force field. Sighing inwardly, deep inwardly, Savot then glanced about the empty bay, and began thumping on the walls of his cell to see if either side connected to a cell with either of his companions. He was hopeful that the others were unharmed, as the three of them together would be more valuable hostages than only 2 or 1...

Slowly, Remeti opened her eyes. She was laying in the most awkward way, her body all hunched over itself. Once she regained her senses, she wanted to jump right up and straighten herself up, but she thought the better of it as she ached all over, and she would most likely fall to the floor.
Rem, sat up and looked around her. She was alone in what looked like a cell. The walls were bare, there was no seat or anything.....the only thing in the cell was her.
As Rem sat and looked out of the cell, she saw a Cardassian storm past. 'A Cardassian?' She asked herself, 'What's their game, I wonder?' As he stormed past, she noticed that the Cardassian male didnt even bother to look at her. Out of curiosity more than anything, Rem stood up and walked forwards just to check that there was actually a forcefield there. She didnt walk too fast in case the field hit her hard, butshe suddenly walked into it and backed off.
'Well, I AM captive then.' She thought. 'But am I alone?' Just then, Rem heard a banging noise from the right of her, coming from the wall. She walked up to it, and banged back...hoping to create some sort of reply.

OFF: No, I like this. Fun job. I think I'll keep it. ;D (jk)
ON:
The Cardassian ship attacked the El Salvador again, then veered off and warped away from the battle. Captain Smith stood up. Kevin returned to his usual position.
Kevin: "Sir, I can't trace their warp signature. I have no idea where they are going. The gunship has lost engines, life support, and shields. The Federation vessel has lost weapons and shields. It is preparing to go to warp."
Smith: "Disable it."
A few moments later, the gunship and the Fed ship were both at the El Salv's mercy. Or rather, at Captain Smith's.
Smith: "Open hailing frequencies. Let's see if they want to talk now."
Kevin didn't envy the Cardassians.

Kivan sat in engineering practically crying. What was it with the commanding officer of a ship that made him want to get his own ship so damaged? He looked at the readout in front of him. Shields not great, hull needed repairs, that would be a 12 hours EVA job, the engines were below peak, the weapons systems just weren't looking pretty. Kivan threw the spanner he had in his hand across the room, narrowly missing an ensign who was trying to make repairs, and then struck the wall, knocking a panel off as it did so.
The xenexian saw the irony in what he had just done. He had been complaining so vehemently about CO's who destroy their own ship's, and then did the same himself. He rolled his eyes, and affixed the panel back onto the wall in a few seconds, offering a small apology to the ensign he had nearly maimed too.
With a sigh he turned to the not so nice task of trying to fix the ship. He pondered where to start. Maybe if he deactivated the weapons system, Captain Smith might think twice before getting in another fight. No, that was likely, it was more probable that he would yell at Kivan until he had repaired it, probably making the rest of the systems worse at the same time.

:: Deis lay slumped against the wall and the floor of her cell. her tricorder didnt pass inspection, nor did her holographed phaser, but they didnt take the little pouch on her belt, probably thinking it mere costume. Its this lump of a pouch that finally wakes her up. She groans and turns over, releaving herself of the lumpy uncomfortably pouch of...of...shes suddenly wide awake, not even remotely noticing the pains from the stunner...they didnt take her site to site transport patches. This is a good thing.::
::She stands up wobblishly and listens hearing a voice...it sounds like its behind her. She turns towards the wall and sprt of presses herself up against it, her ear to the surface. YES! Thats definatly Savots voice. She waits for it to stop for quite a while before beating on the wall::
thud thud thud ::muffled:: Sa-vot! Is tha ye?!! Remeti?!
::not waiting for a responce really before whirling around and looking at her cage. Its another one of those force fieldy things...too bad she dosent have her phaser on her...these are pretty easy to get out of once you know how to short them out. In any case thats not doing her any good at the moment. Then she looks carefully at the walls themselves. The WALLS arnt shielded...only the opening to the room is. A person could transport right out of here. These guys must be either stupid or desperate. Probably a little bit of both. If she could get the site to site patches through to the other two somehow they could easily make their way out of here. If worse comes to worse she will go back herself and then run the transporter for the other two::
OFF: Sorry for not being more creative with this one but my creativity is shot lately.

Savot begins hearing responce from the left wall of his cell first, and moves to the wall to speak, hypothesizing that the walls may be thin enough to provide at least a basic understanding of speech through them, "Commander Irae, Ms. Lucas? Can you understand me?"
The sound he hears in response is Lucas', "YES sir it's me, Lt. Lucas. I'm here! Um, sorry sir. I mean, Lieutenant Lucas reporting."
Before he can open his mouth to respond another noise followed by a muffled voice eminates from the right wall of his cell. Apparently the three cells form something akin to a three way intersection. Savot's cell is in the middle, with the exit facing "north", putting Deis' cell pointing "east", and Remeti's pointing "west".
"Just a moment, Lieutenant, I can hear the Commander.", Savot walks to the other wall and leans against it before speaking, "Commander Irae? I can hear you. Lieutenant Lucas is here as well, in another cell adjacent to my own. Are you hurt?"
Deis, though Savot can't see her through the wall, waves the comment away almost aggravatedly as though it's not important right now, especially not compared to the motherload discovery she just made. "Ferget that now. We need t' get out of 'ere, but I'm not snugglin' up to the idea of hollerin' our plans out loud. See if ye can find a way to pry a small hole through this bulkhead here so we can do a bit o' whisperin'."
Savot nods, equally pointlessly, "Aye, Commander. I will see what I can come up with. Failing that, I may be able to initiate the most basic of melds with you through the metal of the bulkhead. You will be able to communicate thoughts to me, but the connection will be insufficient for me to send anything detailed through to yourself. I shall keep you informed of my progress." Savot then begins feeling slowly along the wall for possible weak points, angled panels that could potentially be pried open and dug through, and anything else of that nature...

"Just a moment, Lieutenant, I can hear the Commander." Savot said.
Remeti nodded, and then sighed and shook her head, as no-one was going to see the nod.
Rem could only hear the muffled voices of Commanders Savot and Irae, but she couldn't hear exactly what it was that they were saying, so she leant against the wall and waited to hear back from Savot.
USS EL SALVADOR - BRIDGE
Steve had been trying for several minutes to contact the enemy vessels, but there was no reply to the hails.
As the ship was currently out of action, he thought about sending an heavily armed party down to the planet's surface. He turned to Kevin. "How long, if it all, before the ships regain power and become a threat?" He asked.

Kevin: "Neither ship will be able to complete repairs for warp drive, weapons, or shields for a considerable amount of time, Captain. I estimate at least 48 hours before they pose any danger. If I may sir... the Cardassian ship could not defeat us in open battle. But a surprise attack on us while we were retrieving the away team could turn the odds against us. I recommend we destroy the gunship in order to get the Federation vessel to talk to us."
Smith: "No, Mr. Zimmerman, I won't fire upon a helpless ship."
Kevin: "At the least, sir, we must destroy their communications. And if we destroyed their life support systems they would break their silence."

"Take out the communications, then. That way, they cant plan a strategy between them while they are making the repairs." Steve replied. "But I will not destroy life support." He added.
Steve stepped down to the science console. "Make a note of the last known co-ordinates of the Away team. I shall be going to find them ASAP."
Steve looked out to the ships. "Is it possible to put a tractor beam on all of the ships?" He asked Kevin.

Kevin: "I suppose I may be able to seperate the tractor beam into two different beams, but I doubt they would be strong enough to hold the ships. It would be easier to target one ship and hold it with the tractor beam, release that ship, and then target the other and hold it with the tractor beam. We could alternate the tractor beam between the two ships very quickly, with only about half a second in-between each ship's holding via the tractor beam. I'll get my team to work on it."
Zimmerman targeted and destroyed the ships' communications.
Smith: "How long will it take?"
Kevin: "A good hour. Possibly two. But nither ship has enough power to transport anyone down to the planet's surface. Or over here."
Captain Smith nodded. "Take your time, Lt. Zimmerman. Just make sure you do it right."
Kevin: "Aye sir. I'm sending the away team's last known coordinates to the transporter cheif now, sir."
