"I am about to go and run a few simulations on what could happen to the ship when we reach the pass" John said, pressing a few buttons while doing so.
"Ok then sir" Hatchet replied.
Leaving the bridge in the hands of an ensihn John and Hatchet left the bridge for holodeck two. entering the turbo lift John said, "Deck 8". The turbolift began moving. The journey was mostly silent, besides the dull noise of the turbolift moving, and the doors opening.
They left the turbolift and headed towards some large double doors, This was where they bgan to create a programe to simulate. This took around 20 minutes. When the programe was ready they entered, and it was the bridge of the El Sal, and the ship ws split into MVA as disscused at the meeting.
John went over to the tac/sec controls, and Hatchet to ops, "Lt, what range is each segmant of the ship away from the pass?" John asked.

"Sir the range of each segment of the ship away from the pass is 50 feet, sir engineering reports energy loss on all 3 MVA sections" all of a sudden there was jolt and Hatchet was flipped over his console.
"sir it seems like we have entered the pass" he said standing up getting back to his post.
"affirmative we have entered the pass" he said

Travor had suddenly gotten the urge to speak with Tiffani, about an hour after his shift had ended. He left his quarters and headed to hers. When he got there, he pushed the call button.
After a couple of moments, he heard, "Who is it?"
"It's Commander Gonto," Travor said and waited for a reply.

"affirmative we have entered the pass" hatchet said.
"Computer, pause programe, restart but this time 100 kilometers away from the pass" John ordered.
with in seconds the programe had been reset, and the ship was all one again. Im am initiating MVA again, "completion in 5 minutes" John said, he wanted to take it slow as this was the first time he had ever attempeted such a procedure, even if it was automatic.
"Move each section of the ship to 75 Kilometers away from the rift" John said, it only took a few seconeds for this to happen. They wernt being pulled in this time, "Try taking us down to 50 KM and so on Lt." John ordered, he did so, it wasnt until they hit the 32 KM mark that each part of the ship began to loose power, and be pulled into the pass.
"I recomend we stop now Mr Hatchet, lets get bck up on to the bridge, inform the Captain of r findings." John said, as he exited thee turbolift, and as doing so shuting down the programe.

"Good idea sir i dont think i can handle being thrown over my console again" Hatchet said rubbing his neck even though the safety's where on it still hurt.
Hatchet and Roberts walked to the turbo lift talking about their results, when they stepped on to the turbo lift hatchet said "deck one Bridge" a few mins later the door opened and they walked on to the bridge, and headed for the captain ready room.
Hatchet looked at Roberts and tapped the button they heard "Enter" and then hatchet and Roberts walked in

Still in the captains ready room waiting to find out what was going on with marine security.
Starting to wonder what was going on since he left the ship a few short months ago. Still thinking about Commander Savot being late. He was wondering what he had missed what was up with the ship. He figured in a short time he would find out and keep a eye on Commander Savot. After all he owed him alot he knew it was commander Savot who had covered for him and made sure he was reassigned back to the ship. That was not a easy feat by any means. So he would be there if he needed him not like he would ask still he owed and that didn't sit well with him.
Waiting for the captain to speak he kept his thoughts to himself.

Kevin sat at his personal viewer, smiling at the flickering screen. The phospherous glow was the only light penetrating the room, with the exception of the ever-present stars. A series of numbers and letters littered the screen as Kevin composed his lastest encryption code. It was mindless, dull work, but it took his mind off more pressing concerns. What to do with the upcoming mission... Kevin wondered why the ship had to rush into the pass. Probably a combination of economics and politics. If the pass wasn't open, traders would lose money on fuel. Money not being circulated was money not gaining value. A basic rule of economics, although some less developed Ferengi failed to grasp the complexities of interstellar macro-economics. Kevin was no expert, yet he had more than a passing interest in where to put his money. Suppose he was injured for life? How would he support himself? Good investments were his retirement fund. It was never too early to plan for accidents, and Kevin knew those were abundant.
After Savot and the Captain, Ethan Hope was the officer Kevin was most familiar with. The science officer was frequently bored. His youthful energy, compiled with a slight case of insomnia, meant Kevin had trouble finding people to do things with him. If only Ethan Hope liked tennis... Kevin might be able to beat Kaitlyn the next time he was on Earth. He checked his viewer's chronometer after finishing the code. 0017. Hope was probably asleep, and certainly not in the mood for a game of tennis. Kevin needed at least four hours of sleep, and six was better, so it was getting close to time for him to get to sleep. He sent away his reply to Dimitrij and went to bed.

Savot awoke in his quarters after precisely 10.5 hours within a deep rejuvenation trance. The vulcan's mental slip that resulted in his late arrival to the briefing was the result of extreme fatigue, as he had not entered actual sleep since Captain Irae was hurt after getting back from her emergency medical reassignment.
*********************************************
An average vulcan could perform to his or her physical and mental standards for approximately 2 weeks without sleep. During his tenure as Acting Captain while Captain Irae had been reassigned, Savot had held command while taking merely 1 hour long meditative rests periodically. He hadn't wanted to leave the crew unsupervised for long durations, not due to a lack of faith in their ability, but because during his Acting Captaincy the safety of the El Salvador and her crew was under his direct responsibility.
The vulcan had known that his command ability wouldn't be diminished by the temporary lack of sleep, after all if staying alert for so long would've made him less able to protect his crew, there would have been no logic in pushing himself to begin with. Savot had rested normally upon the Captain's return until her injuries rendered her comatose and he held the center chair once more.
********************************************
Just as he had been able to take brief rests with hour long meditations, Savot was also able to enter a more potent restful meditation such as he had just done for the past 10 and a half hours. In that time the vulcan had acquired the equivalent of 12 days worth of full bed rest, and he felt very much improved both mentally and physically.
After taking a sonic shower Savot donned a fresh uniform and affixed his rank pips to the collar before leaving his quarters to return to the bridge. The turbolift swallowed the First Officer and ascended towards Deck 1.
*************************************************
The whoosh of the turbolift's opening doors signalled Commander Savot's return to the bridge. Commander Ethan Hope was currently holding the bridge and he rose from the center seat when he saw the vulcan arrive. Savot nodded respectfully to the Operations officer and moved to stand next to the Captain's chair while Ethan returned to his usual post near the front of the bridge, "Thank you, Mr. Hope. Estimated time to arrival at the Zametrian system border?"
"Arrival in 57.4 minutes Commander", replied Hope. Savot nodded, pleased at the precise estimation of their ETA, and made a mental note to inform the Captain when they were 30 minutes out to begin long range sensor scans.

Finishing his meeting with the captain wolf exited onto the bridge in time to see commander Savot. Thinking there was no time like the present he walked over to the Commander.
" Sir can I have a moment it off your time"
" Sir I want to say thank you for keeping certain things quite it went a long way"
" I also want to thank for making sure that I was reassigned back to the ship. It was still in the air about releasing me and I know for a fact you pulled some strings to make sure that it happened. You made your self a friend of sorts with me I wanted you to know that. If you ever find your self in need of certain information or equipment let me know I still have a few favors owed to me which might come in handy once in awhile. As Wolf left the captains ready room John, followed by Hatchet entered, stading in front of her desk they requested to talk to her about the simulation they had been running, and the small power drains they read while they where close to the rift.
Although they where only small John belived it was still best to alert the captain of his their findings, and that the closes each section of the ship in MVA could get to the rift before the drains became to great and they ended up inside the rift and in the same situation as the other ship where who had passed through before them.

"Due to the high probability we will be activating the MVAM function, I've split our department into three divisions. I will head one, Lt. Spiller will take another, and Lt. Saliberus will take the third. Ensign Fenchurch, take my place on the Bridge until we are within fifteen minutes of our estimated arrival time." The science department dispersed. Kevin pulled Spiller away from the flow os scientists to have a personal chat. "This is what will make or break your resume, Spiller. As long as this operation goes well and you perform your duties as instructed, you'll be fine. Don't hesitate to rely on your subordinates, all right? Micromanagement is a significant danger. Also, be sure to do everything with the proper protocool. We can afford to be a little loose when the El Salv is a single, unified ship. Not now."
Spiller nodded. He looked slightly frightened, but had come a long way in the past year. Kevin hoped he was ready for anything Murphey threw at him. "Aye, sir. I'll be fine, sir."
Kevin smiled and shook his hand before the lieutenant departed. Saliberus, a much more experienced officer, was already gone, and the chief science officer hoped that nothing ill would befall his people. He hated the idea of splitting the ship and going into the dangerous area so quickly. The smile was gone from his face as he left to review the arrangements for the operation one last time.

While Savot stood next to the center seat counting down the time to their arrival, Major Wolf walked over while waiting to meet with Captain Irae and spoke to the vulcan, "Sir can I have a moment it off your time?"
Savot had turned to acknowledge the Major as he approached, and gave a slight nod in response, "What can I do for you Major Wolf?"
"Sir I want to say thank you for keeping certain things quiet it went a long way."
Savot nodded to the Marine in recognition of his gratitude, "I have firsthand experience with the necessity of classified materials. I am pleased in so far as your efforts were aided but you owe me no thanks."
"I also want to thank you for making sure that I was reassigned back to the ship. As long as we know not to ask to many questions about where it came from and who gave it", Wolf continued, wanting to let Savot know he truly was thankful for his help.
Savot raised an eyebrow slightly as the Major spoke, and then replied himself, "My efforts to return you to the El Salvador were merely the most logical for me to take. Your previous service aboard has been instrumental to the wellbeing of ship and crew, and I requested your reassignment in order to continue to avail ourselves of your efforts in that regard. Thanks for that are likewise unnecessary, however; you are welcome Major. I shall certainly avail myself of your connections should it become necessary and you have my thanks for offering them."
Lieutenant Hatchet had left his meeting with the Captain during the two officers' conversation, and as they finished and Wolf excused himself to go meet with her himself, Ethan reported from Ops, "ETA 10 minutes, Commander."
Savot nodded and spoke up a bit to catch the Major's ear as he approached the Ready Room doors, "Major, please inform the Captain of our ETA."
The Major acknowledged and pressed the call button outside the Ready Room, the doors opening immediately at his touch of the button. He didn't see her at her desk through the doorway, and he walked in slowly, peering around the corner to see if she was by the replicator out of plain sight or something... but there was no one in the Ready Room at all. She definitely hadn't walked out and Hatchet had just been speaking with her. Something was wrong...
Savot had his hands clasped behind his back waiting through the final minutes before their arrival at the edge of the corridor in question, when Major Wolf hurried back onto the bridge and yelled out to the computer, "Computer: Locate Captain Irae!"
While the rest of the bridge crew's faces twisted in surprise or confusion at the Major's sudden oddness the computer's no-nonsense tone caught everyone up to speed on what was bothering Wolf, =^= Captain Irae is in Shuttlebay 2. =^=
Even as he raised a brow in both concern and confusion as to what was going on, Savot walked forward briskly towards the Ops station and stood behind Commander Hope, "Secure outer doors and dispense both security and medical teams to that location immediately."
Ethan was already at work even as the First Officer spoke but almost immediately he started shaking his head even as his hands danced along the console trying other options, "Shuttlebay controls have been locked out, sir. It has to be the Captain's command codes or I'd be able to access the emergency overrides. Commander the bay's depressurized and the outer doors are opening!"
Savot deduced what the Captain was intending, "Cancel security and medical teams and enhance structural integrity to the surrounding sections."
No sooner had these orders been enacted, than the entire crew felt the slight shudder of a shuttlecraft departing a vessel at warp speed. The entire crew was in a state of shock at the completely unexpected event that had just occured...
Savot, his mind already working to try to piece together the mystery, had started walking towards the Ready Room, the last known location of Captain Irae. Site to site transport had to have been used, and it wouldn't have been difficult for the Captain to do so with her command clearance, the same with locking out the overrides on the shuttlebay doors. Even as the vulcan neared the room, however; the computer's voice rang out again within the bridge.
=^= Commander Savot, report to the Captain's Ready Room. Urgent. Repeat: Commander Savot, report to the Captain's Ready Room. Urgent=^=, the computer started to repeat the message yet again until Savot crossed the threshold into the Ready Room. Apparently the computer had been programmed to repeat the summons for the First Officer until he had complied with the order.
Upon entering, the console at the Captain's desk began beeping to signal the presence of a message awaiting playback. Savot strode over to it quickly and accessed it.
Without delay, the image of Captain Irae's face and upper torso appeared on the screen, a bitter sadness tainting her countenance as the recorded message began to play, "Savot, if'n yer listenin' t' this message then ye've just witnessed my leavin' the ship via shuttle, most likely despite efforts to stop me. Lemme come straight t' the tellin' ye not t' come after me, as of my departure I've tended my official resignation from Starfleet."
As the image of the Captain says this, she is indeed removing her both her commbadge and rank pips, which Savot now notices on the opposite side of the desk. He barely has time to furrow his brow in shock before the message continues, "I've tried t' ignore this nagging drive in me head for months now, but between the injury I suffered when we chased after the katra of Sudoc and the recent cerebral trauma due t' that saboteur's bomb, chunks of memories I didnae think I had 'ave been comin' t' the surface of me mind and I cannae ignore them any longer. There's only a brief note of it in me Starfleet records but I imagine ye read about the accident that killed my parents years ago. These memories I've been seein'... I'm nae so sure it really was an accident. I've got t' find out fer sure, and Starfleet's not keen on lettin' Captains use their ships fer personal vendetta's, an' fer good reason."
Deis' image looked down for a moment as though she were really talking to the vulcan and couldn't look him in the face as she continued to speak, "I'm sorry t' 'ave put ye in the position yer now in, but I've also made certain t' have left ye with no excuse to try comin' after me. My resignation is legit, an' if'n ye recall when we 'liberated' the Mini-Sal from the Cardassians a couple years back, she wasnae ever officially registered as a Starfleet vessel. I did my best t' keep ye and the crew out of my personal problems... please tell them I'm sorry. Especially Kevin and young Mr. Hope, they've been around a good while and shouldnae have been abandoned like this, but I cannae focus on anythin' until I've figured this thing out, especially commandin' a starship."
She looked firmly at the screen again, and took a deep breath as she came to the end of her explanation, "If'n ye don' take the center chair yerself, I hope they send ye a better Captain than I've been able t' be the past months. No matter who takes over, though, they'll nae ever love tha' ship and tha' crew as I did... an' as I still do. Farewell, Savot... Godspeed..." The message's last image confirmed Savot's theory as it showed Deis disappear into transporter molecules and fade from view. The screen then went black, and the Ready Room was suddenly very very empty...

"One minute till we drop out of warp," muttered Ensign Fenchurch, the officer at the science station. He was clearly worried about the upcoming operation. Kevin wondered if perhaps he had aggitated some of his people in his efforts to get their best performance. He told himself to be more optimistic the next time he gave a pep talk.
Others on the Bridge were also showing visible signs of stress. Kevin's face was slightly whiter than usual, but other than that he appeared normal, if slightly less energetic. He was concerned with the Captain's abrupt departure. No doubt Savot would have done something if she were in trouble. Kevin tried to tell himself everything was all right, but he had his doubts.
"Commander Zimmerman?" asked Ethan. "Should I inform Commander Savot of our arrival?"
Kevin shook his head. "I'll tell him." The magnificant ship dropped out of warp moments later. Stars filled the viewscreen, but Kevin had his back to them as he made his way to the ready room. He chimed, failing to recieve any response. A second attempt also failed. The door was unlocked, and Kevin entered.
The Vulcan was standing with his back to the door. Something about his stance frightened Kevin, warned him that not all was well. Kevin swallowed nervously and stepped forward, the door closing behind him. "Sir?" he asked quietly.

Kevin swallowed nervously and stepped forward, the ready room door closing behind him. "Sir?" he asked quietly.
The vulcan, who had been staring now for 5.8 straight minutes at the pile of 4 gold pips sitting on the desk beside an abandoned commbadge, had barely registered the chimes of the door moments earlier, but hearing the voice of the science officer who'd put forth continued effort to befriend the stoic commander shook Savot from his mental 'paralysis' of sorts. He assumed a more usual posture and clasped his hands behind his back as he turned to face Kevin.
"Forgive my distraction, Mr. Zimmerman. Captain Irae has resigned her Starfleet commission and taken the Mini-Sal shuttlecraft to attend to personal matters that have apparently demanded her attention for some time now. I have sent a transmission to Admiral Magellan through Starbase Assailant explaining the situation and requesting instructions. However, my own examination of the details have detected no lack of legitimacy in our Captain's actions", Savot lowered his eyes for a moment, reigning in a surge of shock that threatened to push to the front of his mind.
Blinking his eyes and inhaling slowly he continued, "While the manner of Captain Irae's resignation will doubtless be unappreciated by Starfleet Command it is insufficient to justify pursuing her on criminal charges. Likewise, as we recovered the Mini-Sal shuttle during our escape from rogue Cardassian forces it is not considered official Starfleet property and as such cannot be considered stolen by the Captain. I expect Starfleet will investigate the matter on their own and replacement command officers will be assigned to the El Salvador."
"In the meantime it's my duty to assume command and carry on until said replacements arrive. I would ask you to again serve as my second if you're willing to do so. It is entirely voluntary and I shall take no offense if you decline, but I believe you more than qualified to fulfill the position", Savot concluded his 'speech' to Kevin, the poor science chief being forced to digest the full force of the situation much the same way the vulcan himself was 10 minutes earlier.

Kevin's mouth hung slightly open. He felt numb. "I... Savot..." he took a shuddering breath. Captain Irae had always been on the El Salv. Captain Smith and Remeti had left, and now... Kevin took a closer look at Savot and realised that despite what he, Kevin, was going through, losing a friend and a command figure who had been with him since his graduation, Savot was losing someone closer. He'd been with Irae longer, worked with her closer. If Savot was still working, Kevin couldn't let him down. "Aye, sir." He cleared his throat.
Kevin did his best to push the Captain's absence to the back of his mind as Savot walked past him, out of the room. The science officer followed in the Vulcan's wake, feeling much like he had when he first arrived. A young officer, with plenty of academic achievements but little experience... yet at least he had some experience. By the time the two were in view of the officers on the Bridge, Kevin had recovered from the news sufficiently to feign confidence.

Wolf was still a little shocked by recent events but he was putting them in the back of his head. Still there were things that needed to be done while Commander Zimmerman and Commander Savot were in the Captain's ready room. He walked over to a empty computer console. He knew his orders hadn't been confirmed yet a small over site because of there current problem. One he was sure Commander Savot would address when time allowed but he still had access to black ops for the moment. Accessing the computer with codes stored in it for all black ops operatives he accessed the computer with his codes.
" Computer recongize Major wolf Alpha, zero one zero two Delta one" the computer accepted his codes he knew it wouldn't belong before he wouldn't beable to do what he was about to do now " Computer Disregaurd all command Codes from Captain Irae accept only Command codes from Commander Savot. Cancel all current computer operations with directives from Captain Irae. Until futher notice with only the approval of Commander Savot no longer accept any command orders from Captain Irae. Transmitt following message to all black ops units. This is Major wolf Call sign ghost walker Code 0001000, Please be on the look out for Captain Irae do not make contact. Please transmitt all sightins of the captain to Commander Savot acting captain of the El Salvador on coded frequnce. I say again do not make contact just take note and transmit last seeing location."
It was done the computer started giving control of the shuttle bay back to the ship. It was to late to try and stop the captain but that was for another time. Right now he was just concerned about the ship makeing sure security and computer controls couldn't be used by the captain anymore. He was hoping it would only be for a short time but nothing less it had to be done. Looking up he saw Commander zimmerman and Commander Savot exiting the Captains ready room. Updateing is actions he sent informatin to the captains chair for Commander Savot to see.
Looking back down he signaled his Marines and reported recent events so they would be aware. He also informed them that Commander Savot wast to be there Big bird from now on. Which meant he was to be protected at all times, aboard the ship it was easy but on away missions it became very hard most Captains didn't like the body guard routine.
Looking back up at Commander Savot waiting for what was about to come next.

As Savot rushed past him and Hatchet, John looked at Paul in the eye, and gave a signal to leave, John then followed him and went to the secturity console. unable to access systems, John began to try and hack into them.
Then comander Zimmerman got up, heading in the same direction as Savot, John looked up, then as the ready room doors shut, he looked back down at the security console again. Begining to get a little irritated, John gave up. John began to look around the room, he noticed wolf at what was an empty console, being occupied by him. Unable to hear what he was saying, but it didnt matter as moments later the console began to work again.
John began to chack the ship over, making sure that all systems had been returned, the had been. John continued to monitor wolf, then once he had done walked over to him, "I dont know what you did just then, but you have managed to get all controls back" Hohn said, tring not to seem out of turn.
"Any ideas whats happening?" John asked

Looking up from the computer screen it had confirmed its new directives. He saw Lt Roberts walking over to him with the normal questioning look in his eye's. Knowing there was no use in trying to pretend he didn't do anything.
"I dont know what you did just then, but you have managed to get all controls back" Hohn said, tring not to seem out of turn.
" My orders haven't been transmitted to Headquaters yet. I'm sure Commander Savot will take care of that very soon. But my last assignement had some special protocals which were still active. So I just went ahead and reset all Command codes to Commander Savot he'll have to adjust what he wants but right now the ship accepts him as captain."
"Any ideas whats happening?" John asked
Looking at the Roberts " I'm not sure I have some ideas but thats all they are right now. I would like to think the captain has some secert mission and she had to leave in a hurry. But thats just speculation right now. I do know we have a mission to complete so thats what I"m going to focus on. You might want to check to make sure the captin wasn't running any experiments any place. When I reset the controls it shut everything that she had been working on down. Since I just got back you might know more about whats been going on then me. Any idea why commander Savot was late to the briefing this moring?" <Tag Roberts>
He also noticed Lt hatchet looking a little lost " Lt hatchet Sorry about everything I know its not normal to come aboard and loose your captain but this ship is a little odd sometimes. I"m major wolf Senior Marine office its nice to meet you" <Tag Hatchet>
He looked over to see Commander Savot reading the information he had sent him. He wasn't sure how this was going to turn out. He hadn't really done anything wrong per say but you never knew how some officer would handle knowing there were certain things about the ship that they didn't know about it like master reset codes.

Savot exitted the Ready Room with Kevin in his wake, and noted that most of his officers were on the bridge. They had exitted warp and were now at one end of the Zametrian pass, edges of the Zametri asteroid field surrounding it. Now it wasn't the asteroids that created the navigational hazard through this region, it was their composition, being composed of a variety of elements and ores that often disrupted navigational systems on starships just as a magnet would throw off an old style Earth compass.
Now, the pass, which had been a means of safe passage through the field, was proving hazardous to a degree beyond even that of the asteroid field. Savot had come up short on early theories as to the nature and cause of this new situation, but as he sat in center seat he noted an incoming message from command responding to his report on Captain Irae's departure.
Savot enabled the intra-ship communications and spoke through the speakers throughout the entire vessel, =^= All hands, this is Savot. By now news of Captain Irae's departure has likely reached most of you with varying degrees of accuracy. Until a new command is established I've been assigned temporary command and Commander Zimmerman will serve as First Officer. Additionally, given the combat specialization of our vessel combined with the unexpected change of command, our mission within Zametri space has been changed.=^=
=^= A pair of Starfleet science vessels are being diverted to our current position at the edge of the asteroid corridor to assume our initial assignment. The El Salvador has been reassigned to the far side of the system to investigate a potential cause or factor in the Zametri pass situation. The outlying planets are believed to be recently established waypoints for illegitimate trade operations. If these reports are accurate, there is a high probability that elevated levels of energy displacement have been created due to weapons fire, cloaked vessels attempting to avoid discovery by patrolling vessels, as well as a plethora of other sources. All hands prepare for an extended impulse push to the outer edge of the system, Bridge out=^=, Savot ended the shipwide transmission and spoke out to his bridge officers.
"Major Wolf, Lieutenants Roberts and Hatchet. Confer between yourselves to adequately prepare shipwide security, and formulate potential assault options against planetwide bases should any such outposts be detected aiding the pirating operations. Mr. Roberts and Mr. Hatchet, before you meet with the Major please gather your holodeck simulation results and transmit the findings to the incoming science vessels so they have a theoretical base to start from, also make them available to the main Science Lab for comparison with any energy readings we pick up on the edge of the system so we can determine if there truly is any correlation between the pirating and the asteroid pass disturbances", the vulcan spoke to the three, his chair facing the rear of the bridge.
Turning it to face forward once more he continued, "Commanders Hope and Gonto, plot a navigable course to reach the area in question while avoiding the dangers of the pass. Mr. Zimmerman, deploy a stationary probe at our present location, and launch a microprobe into the initial sections of the Zametrian pass. Upon reaching our destination we will deploy an additional stationary and launch another microprobe from that end to establish and maintain contact with the science vessels that will take up our current coordinates."
As he finished his first round of orders Savot keyed back up the other note of interest that had been waiting on the Captain's chair console. He nodded in agreement with Major Wolf's actions, the change in command code recognition had been one of the first matters to come to mind after overcoming the personal shock of the situation, and he made a point to recognize the Marine's well-intentioned initiative when they had time. For the moment, however; he attended to the other official matter that the Major's actions had reminded him of, and sent the transfer confirmation of Major Wolf from Special Operations back to Senior Marine Officer of the El Salvador. While Wolf's actions had been both efficient and positively motivated, letting that kind of clearance power roam unhindered was not wise.
As he settled in to the routine and the efficiency of attending the mission at hand, Savot was able to put aside his disturbed feelings over the Captain's disappearance, and for the moment at least, bring his full vulcan composure and attention to the task at hand.

Kevin nodded after being given his orders, and once Savot had completed his brief set of commands the young science officer made eye contact with Ensign Fenchurch, who deployed the stationary probe with ease. The microprobe was a more delicate task, and required Kevin's personal attention... sort of. Sitting in the chair to the right of Savot, Kevin's fingers danced on the small built-in computer console. A quick message to Lt. Saliberus ensured the microbe would be deployed within minutes, if not sooner. While Kevin watched the incoming data from the Saliberus as he inspected the micro-probe prior to its departure, he also contacted Lt. Spiller. He was best suited to the science labs, and all of the information streaming in would be collected there.
"Probes are away," reported Kevin after the microprobe was launched.
**************************************************
Lt. Saliberus coughed harshly as he entered the science lab. He bent over, still coughing, but managed to regain his composure after a minute or so.
"You all right, sir?" asked a younger officer.
The older science officer waved his subordinate away. "I'm fine. Fine. Carry on." A few very small, imperceptible droplets of blood dotted the scientist's uniform.

After a brief look at Commander Savot he knew his orders were being confirmed. He would no longer have the same leve of access as the captain. He knew alot of captains didn't like black ops being able to do such things the fear of loosing your ship was always on there mind. All Black ops officer were instructed to use this access as a last means of getting the job done.
Still it was worth the echange to be back on the ship again and part of the crew. Looking back over at Roberts. " I suggest we make our plan 3 fold one of use stays with tatical the other with ship security and last with planning a ground assualt. Since there might be a ground assualt I will take that. My Marines are more geared to that they can back up ship security until needed. That leaves the other two parts, last time we ran into pirates it wasn't very much fun they were trying to take over egineering and the battle bridge. So you might want to plan for that. If we go planet side I would like one of you with me to help secure the base or ship or what ever the pirates are hiding in." <Tag Roberts and Hachet>
Looking back down at his computer screen and back at Commander Savot " Sir can you hold for two mins before transmitting my orders. I would like to see if there is any classified information about pirate activity in this area. I know we can ask for it but it would be quicker for me to get it right now" <Tag Savot>

Looking back down at his computer screen and back at Commander Savot, Wolf spoke, "Sir can you hold for two mins before transmitting my orders? I would like to see if there is any classified information about pirate activity in this area. I know we can ask for it but it would be quicker for me to get it right now."
Savot turned to face the Major, "I appreciate your efficient line of thought, Major but I prefer not to over use such clearances. Given the crucial status of the Zametrian pass for this region of space I believe it improbable that any information would be withheld from us that could be beneficial to restoring the pass. However, we will proceed with the mission prepared for any eventuality. Should there be an unknown variable involved we must be ready to respond as efficiently as possible."

Looking at Commander Savot " Understood sir I'll will start planning for possilbe ground or ship assualt" Looking back down at his screen to check the names of Marines that would be suited for this mission. He didn't agree with Commander Savot becuase he knew from personal experince that some people didnt share all the information they had. How many mission did he go on in the last few months where he knew more then the crew did.
Then to top it off he was dealing with pirates again which didn't sit well with him. His thoughs went back to final mission with the unit. A lot of lives on both sides were lost for what nothing in his mind was worth what happened. He had seen a counselor before he left but didn't say much, maybe I should talk to one he though but he wasn't sure if he was ready for that. Although he knew the counselor couldn't repeat what he would say still to open up old wounds again didn't sound to thrilling to him.
Finding the squad he wanted to use he signaled the gunney " Gunney Jones assemble the team in the squad bay for a mission"
Looking back he was still thinking about his last mission.

Looking at Commander Savot, Major Wolf replied to the vulcan's statement, "Understood sir I'll start planning for possilbe ground or ship assault". Looking back down at his screen to check the names of Marines that would be suited for this mission.
"Probes are away," reported Kevin after the microprobe was launched.
Savot nodded as he looked forward towards the viewscreen, "Very good, Commander. Monitor telemetry as we make our way to the coordinates of the energy disturbances. We should experience a drop in signal as we approach the area, but be able to reacquire when we place another pair on that side of the pass. Program an automated message in the stationary probe for the science vessels to attempt contact with us upon their arrival. Helm, proceed upon the plotted course to the area of disturbance at 1/3 impulse power."
The Prometheus class vessel began to gradually move away from the stationary probe they'd already deployed, which would lay in wait for the arrival of the pair of science vessels Starfleet was deploying to take over the El Salvador's original mission.
