Savot had almost exited when Kevin called out. "Savot, my... someone who is claiming to be my uncle is supposed to meet me when I get to Earth. If he turns out to really be part of my family, I'd like you to meet him. I trust you judge of character."
Savot had paused his egress and turned back to his officer, raising his eyebrow slightly as Kevin explained his geneological surprise. He dipped his head forward slightly in acknowledgement of the compliment Zimmerman had paid him, "Your confidence is appreciated Mr. Zimmerman. It would be my priviledge to meet the gentleman in question should his claim prove accurate."
As Kevin's door sealed itself once more following Savot's departure, the vulcan made his way to the bridge. The preceding days marked the loss of family for so many, he thought on his way through the corridors, and though the impact of that loss could never be lessened, it would be at least somewhat heartening if the coming days marked a gain of family for someone...
