"I fear I cannot co-ordinate the medical teams commander," Sonak replied over the open intercom, "however I am certain Commander Reckus can do so?"
Beside Parsons, Jatan chuckled, squeezing the first officer's shoulder, eyes shining with mirth. "That was a good goof commander, you'll be hearing that one for a long time. Don't worry, I'll co-ordinate with Doctor Kennedy once I find out what module she's on."
Jasmine Rogers turned in her seat. "Doctor Kennedy is on Minerva," she answered, "however Mercury has a full holographic staff at your service." She laughed. "As you should know, being the former chief medical officer."
"Indeed," Jatan murmured, "touché." He straightened. "I'll be in sickbay then sir."
On Minerva, Sonak too laughed, albeit softly. "Prepare for casualties," was her parting order. "Commander Parsons, do be careful when boarding. We are standing by for transport, should it be needed. However until such time, we shall be maintaining cloak. Be sure that security is standing by in the transporter room. Oh, and make sure Logan repairs your ablative armour, it is faulty thus making you vulnerable."
The Vulcan nodded over to Paikea. "Pai, please stand by to transport to Mercury, they may need assistance." She opened another comsignal. "Daya, proceed to Mayim, inform government that the rest of us are delayed. Minerva is staying behind to provice back-up for Mercury, in case of further emergency. Respond and acknowledge."

(Apologies for the length)
On the bridge of the Nautilus, and being transmitted to the holding cell corridor's monitor, the Starfleet response was heard by both Alf and his captain, =^=Unidentified captors, I would like to speak to whomever is in charge. This Commander Adam Parsons of the United Federation of Planets.=^=
Alf looked at Skurr through the screen and asked for orders without having to say a word. Skurr's trademark grin thinned somewhat to a more focussed expression as the dominoes began to fall and he nodded to Alf, "Let 'em eat static, and make like you're trying to retreat. Shunt power from weapons to the engines; they'll hit the array first anyway to keep us from shooting back."
Glancing at the wall-mounted chronometer in the hall, Skurr mentally counted down from 5, and smiled grimly when the Nautilus rocked from the Starfleet vessel's fire. He quickly looked back to Alf's image on the screen, "All right, deploy pods, then tell Relk we've been captured and demand his assistance."
Tys looked at him with a raised brow, "You don't really expect Relk to try and save you do you?"
A grin and a wink accompanied the pirate's reply, "Oh not this side of hell, dearest. All goes well I won't need saving, but it's still to my advantage to let Relk think I do."
The Nautilus' weapons array was quickly disabled by well-placed shots from Parsons' crew, and began to move as if trying to retreat. Within the next few moments, everyone in the brig section was transported to several of the Fleeters' transporter rooms. This was where it got interesting...
Transport Completion +0.0 seconds: Three transporter rooms pulled over groups consisting entirely of Orion females, about 7 in each bunch. Another nabbed Skurr, Tysmur, and 3 members of their pirate crew also dressed like captives. The final two groups consisted of a mix of races that had survived their convoys' theft at Skurr's hands, 3 captives in each group going to 2 separate transporter rooms.
Transport Completion +0.5 seconds: As the patterns of the last two groups fully formed on the transporter pads, the bodies instantly exploded as chemical containers implanted inside the captives were disrupted by being demolecularized by the transporter system and released the explosive matter they'd been containing. Since transporter systems were able to instantly detect and disable any recognizable weapons, Skurr had had to get creative and fall back on an adaptation of the Trojan Horse, having the prisoners unknowingly carry destruction to their rescuers. The explosions also spread vast amounts of invidium throughout both damaged transporter rooms.
Invidium was a chemical compound that when properly contained was harmless, but if it came into contact with computer systems it could potentially cripple a Federation ship depending on which systems it managed to spread to. There was really no way for Skurr to predict where it would eventually spread, but by making the transporters the source of the initial infection he'd guaranteed they wouldn't be able to try and beam the cloaking device back once it'd been stolen.
Transport Completion +1.0 seconds: Even as they coalesced into being in the Starfleet Transporter Room, Skurr and Tysmur could feel the vibrations of the explosions shaking the ship. Tysmur used the moment to help work up her tears while Skurr and the other 3 pirates stumbled with feigned weakness and emotional trauma.
Skurr had to give the Fleeters credit; they'd prepared well to receive the captives and the security and medical teams both seemed alert and ready. True to noble Starfleet form; however, two of the security people went forward to help Tysmur stand, and were quickly exposed to the tears running down her beautiful face. When their comrades looked toward them to try and figure out what was wrong, Skurr and the No-Name Trio made their move and jumped the remaining guards, Skurr knocking his out with an overly dramatized karate chop.
The medical teams were unarmed, after all that's what the security teams were for, and as such were unable to stop Skurr and the Trio from claiming the guards' weapons, at which point the pirates stunned the med team to keep them from causing trouble. By now the two guards with Tysmur had turned towards the commotion, though their priority now was to protect her from whatever was happening rather than the defense of their ship. One of them actually stunned one of the Trio before Skurr put him down, but the other got Skurr in his sights and ordered all the pirates to drop their weapons.
Skurr calmly gestured for the now nameless duo to drop their weapons, and they all raised their hands in surrender. Even as Tysmur knelt to take the stunned guard's phaser the other could see no wrong in what she did. Not even when she turned to him and fired at point blank range did his devotion to the beautiful Elasian cease, and Skurr's eyes narrowed in regret as the body fell. He knew Tysmur didn't like to kill, but with Skurr at risk she'd had no choice but to fire at the guard and at that close range even a stun setting would kill.
Skurr moved to take his love's hand and gently but firmly guided her from the bodies. The Dastardly Duo reclaimed their stolen phasers as well, but kept them on stun as per Skurr's orders. Not that the pirate captain was skittish about killing, heck he'd just blown up 6 innocent people to further his plan, but in his experience Starfleet was much more likely to pursue you to the depths of Hades the more of their comrades' blood you had on your hands. Skurr picked his stolen weapon back up too and plucked the commbadge from one of the security men's chests.
Tysmur pulled a tricorder from one of the med techs and worked its controls while Skurr fiddled with the communicator. Popping open the casing he made two quick modifications and looked up to see Tys' confirming nod before activating it, =^=Computer, security inquiry. Has the cloaking device been compromised?=^=
Under Red Alert the computer would already recognize it was under attack, and as such a request as to the cloak's status wouldn't be out of place. Also, every Starfleet crewmember's commbadge doubled as a means of identification, so the computer would accept that the question had come from an authorized security officer and answer it. Tysmur's job had been to link the tricorder's processor to the transmission signal going to and from the commbadge, which allowed it to display the data they so desperately needed.
In order to verify the safety of the cloaking device, the computer had to use internal sensors to scan its present location, and when it did so the readouts also appeared on the tricorder giving the pirates the location of the device as well. As the computer gave them what they needed, Skurr shared a grin with his beloved, nodded to the other two, and then they were all on the move to the cloak's location.
Meanwhile, in space the seemingly disabled Nautilus listed lazily through the blackness. Out of sight of Parsons' ship; however, shuttlepods that had been waiting on the belly of the Nautilus and as such weren't distinguishable yet as separate power signatures, detached from the pirate ship and moved to attack the Starfleet ship during those critical seconds of transport that would force the Fleeters to keep their shields down.
Three pods attacked the ship's power distribution net at three separate locations to exacerbate the damage, making it impossible for Starfleet to activate any internal force fields to keep Skurr's team from reaching the cloak. The pods themselves; however, were certainly not built to stand up to Starfleet weapons and as such would be easily destroyed if Parsons' crew diverted their fire towards them. But they'd played their intended role and were now as expendable as the prisoners that had been so recently exploded...

Daya had moved his section of the Vesuvious below Parsons, while still cloaked it would have been difficult to see him. His crew was ready to get into a fire fight if needed, but before anything broke down he received a message. "Daya, proceed to Mayim, inform government that the rest of us are delayed. Minerva is staying behind to provide back-up for Mercury, in case of further emergency. Respond and acknowledge." Daya sighed before he answered the Commander. "Aye ma'am, on my way. Transport as much of your cargo as you are able, I will deliver them to the Mayim people" Daya nodded to his pilot and they moved away from the soon-to-be-battle-field towards the planet. "Discordia to Mayim government, This is Commander Daya of the USS Vesuvious, we have come across a distress beacon and the remainder of the crew will be delayed." Taking a look at his internal scans, he saw that most of the supplies had been transported, and thought it would be best if he sent them along to the planet. "request transporter coordinates and begin delivering the supplies.
"Commander, explosions reported on the Mercury, it looks like escape pods of some sort were rigged to explode, the Mercury was able to prevent them from hitting the section, but the reported explosion were from the inside." Daya whirled around to look at his Operations officer, Ensign Quest. "How much time until the supplies have been delivered?" He asked, walking over the ensigns side. "10 minutes" Daya tapped his communications officer and called out to the Minerva. "Commander Daya to Minerva, 10 minutes until the supplies have been delivered, do you want me to break off and provide support?"

Doctor kennedy stood in the main area of the Minerva sections sickbay, she had not heard much about what was going on, she was too busy getting sickbay up and running ready for casualties, she didn’t like the fact the ship had three sickbays, it made keeping track of them all the more difficult.
It meant she had to put faith in the people running the other two sickbays which was hard as she hardly knew them at all. Minervas sickbay being the main sickbay was the biggest and best equipped but the designers of the ship made sure the other two were good enough for emergencys.
Walking over to the main computer panel she pressed the comm. And opened a channel to Doctor Reckus.
“Doctor Reckus this is Kennedy, I just wanted to check in and see how things were going on your end… I never had to keep a track of one sickbay before nevermind three.”

[In the Science Labs/CSO office]
Jazmine had come aboard the Vesuvius green and wet behind the ears. It didn't take her long to find her nitch and to fit in. She'd not been available for the senior staff meeting but now sat in her office reading the report.
Although she'd been on the ship since it's departure she'd been stuck below decks, not the usual for a senior staff member but there had been nothing she could do. Once the report was read, and her thoughts added to it she placed her thumb print to it and stood, picking up her jacket and tugging it on.
She tucked the PADD into her pocket, alongside the PADD holding her orders and stepped out of the office, nodding to those of her staff who were nearby.
The list of things she needed for this mission a mile long and one which had kept her busy and apparently was going to keep her even busier now that they had arrived.
Jazmine knew that she'd not offically reported in but also knew that jumping in with both feet and getting things underway was important when time was short. She only hoped the CO would understand.
<OFF: tag anyone, and I know this doesn't cover the whole time from the beginning to present but there is a lot of ground to cover and I can't do it all in one post, will continue tomorrow since it's late for me>

"Commander Daya to Minerva, 10 minutes until the supplies have been delivered, do you want me to break off and provide support?"
"Negative commander, "the Vulcan admiral replied, "remain in orbit around Mayim until you receive further instructions from either myself or Commander Parsons. Provide assistance to the Mayim people when requested or when needed. Defend at all cost."
The Vulcan experienced a moment of indecision. Sensors showed Mercury was under attack, but so far it didn't seem as though the module was sustaining much damage. At the helm, Mark Harper showed a face of pure apprehension. Communications called for the doctor and absently, Sonak listenend to them, almost answering them as she too, was 'Doctor Reckus', but she realised in time that Jatan was supposed to answer.
She listened as Jatan responded that he was capable of handling the injured on his end. "Don't worry doctor," her husband replied, "the EMH still functions, we're good for now, I'll let you know if we need assistance."
Sonak was about to insert a response of her own when a woman stepped onto the bridge, smartly reporting in. "Station, Ensign Pedralba," she ordered, "sensors are picking up small vessels, coming from the one that sent the distress signal. Confirm."
She gazed directly at the woman, not recognising her but knowing she must be relatively new, or newly promoted. Her concern was for Mercury. "Paikea, decloak and engage," she ordered, "target the smaller vessels, defend the large one." She paused when Harper reported the approach of a second vessel, not as large as the one in distress but large enough.
"Daya, do not engage the vessel on approach, but keep sensors locked on it. We may be occupied soon."
<savot, ye'd better take off with my cloak now...or you'll find yourself under attack. Ensign, welcome into the fray of battle>

"damn it" Daya muttered to himself as he slammed his fist against his chair. Daya sat with his index finger in his mouth, biting it down in anticipation. "Commander, what should we do?" Daya looked over to his operations officer, "keep the sensors locked, and continue scans on all vessels, report every 5 minutes." tapping his comm badge, he called down to his engineers, "can we get more power to the transporters, our friends are under attack, we need to drop these supplies off now"
"Aye sir, but only by a few minutes" Came a reply, Daya nodded to himself and replied, "A few minutes is good enough, give us all the power you can"

Jazmine no sooner stepped on the bridge when she was ordered to her station.
"Station, Ensign Pedralba,"
"Yes Sir." came her abrupt reply as she stepped to the Science station.
"sensors are picking up small vessels, coming from the one that sent the distress signal. Confirm."
She ran her fingers over the console initiating scans, both short and long range.
"Confirmed Sir." Her voice ringing out clear as she read the initial scans.
(off, sorry for the short reply but I haven't had time to read up totally on the mission yet. RL had kept me busy off line as well as setting up a new comp)

"Ma'am," the Vulcan corrected, more harshly than she intended. She kept her gaze fixed on the screen. "Something is wrong," she murmured, "something is terribly wrong, I only wish I knew what."
She turned around in her seat to gaze up at Paikea. "Status on Mercury? "she queried, as she turned back to face the screen. "What are those little pods, if not attacking the secondary module. The alien vessel is clearly under attack as well, and clearly damaged. Look at the tilt on the horzontal axis."
She tapped her combadge. "Doctor Kennedy, send a small away team, accompanied by security to the alien vessel. Everyone is to be armed, no exceptions. Complaints will be noted but my order will be followed. You yourself are to remain in sickbay until further notice."
Sonak raised her eyes to look at her new science chief. "I am certain you will agree with me that something is amiss. Please take the helm and set course for the alien vessel. Put us between them and the approaching merchant. We do not know its intention."
Relk saw his chance, right there and then. It was obvious Skurr was distracted, engrossed in his own tedious plans. "Fire!" he ordered, as his gunnery officer eagerly fired the ship's disruptors.
The Romulan style weapons tore long gashes alongside Skurr's elegant vessel, with the shields down it stood no chance whatsoever. "Attack vector beta," Relk ordered, his tiny black eyes glinting with greed. "Damage only, don't destroy. He's got goods aboard that're valuable. I want it."
"Defend that ship!" Sonak called out, rising to her feet, "Paikea take tactical. Contact Discordia, let them deal with the attacking vessel!"
(parsons....savot's to take your cloak...naturally you'll put up a fight but he'll take it. daya, you can damage relk's vessel and capture relk, you cannot destroy either pirate vessel. Logan, where the heck are you!)

Parsons smiled slightly and put his head down, "Commander Reckus, forgive my slip, Adam said with a hand to his chest."
..."I'll be in sickbay then sir."
"Very good, Commander," Parsons replied.
"We're on top of that, Admiral," Adam assured her.
"Commander Parsons, there has been some kind of explosion in at least two of the transporter rooms, there is somekind of gas" reported Lieutenant Collison at tactical.
"Seal all transporter rooms now!," Parsons ordered.
"But we have teams inside..."
"Seal them NOW, Lieutenant!"
Collison obeyed. "Sir, we have phaser fire in one of the transporter rooms."
"Send additional security teams. This is obviously a trap. <Parsons to all personnel, we have been boarded by a hostile pirate force. Prepare to repel boarders. Disable or detain all non-crew on site. > We'll sort them out after."
"Sir, we are under attack from several shuttle size craft," Collison reported.
"Damn, get those shields back up," the XO barked. "Sir, they have knocked out portions of our power distribution net, they have disabled many of our internal force fields."
"The transporter rooms?"
"Down, Sir."
"Have security teams seal off those decks manually, and retake them. Concentrate fire on the shuttles. Take them OUT, Lieutenant." Parsons ordered coldly.
Collison didn't stop firing until the threat had been neutralized.
"All shuttles are destroyed or adrift," the tactical officer reported.
"Very well, what about our internal problem."
"Phaser fire is still being reported, there appears to be a running firefight," Collison reported dutifully.
"Internal force fields?" the XO queried.
"Still down."

Skurr counted his blessings that at least internal force fields weren't among his many concerns at the moment. The 3 pirates continued their running firefight through the ship, splitting up when they reached the Jeffries tubes to keep the Fleeters guessing. He and Tysmur continued towards the cloak, while their comrade headed towards this hull's engineering section. Skurr didn't expect he'd get far, one armed man, regardless of his scurviness factor couldn't outmatch armed security teams; but having to send teams after two different groups meant each one would face less resistance than they would have if they'd stayed together.
Like something out of some 1930's Earth romance film the pirate captain and his lady ran through the corridors hand-in-hand and both firing with their free hand. The data they'd gotten on the location was right on the money, and although Skurr took a glancing stun shot to his shooting arm the pirate pair were able to overpower the technicians present and seal themselves in. The ever-present grin wasn't diminished by the phaser stun, Skurr merely had to switch the phaser to his good hand which necessitated his reluctantly releasing Tysmur's hand to make the switch.
Nodding for her to prepare the device for removal, Skurr used his subdermal communicator to reach Alf aboard the Nautilus, =^=Alf, target reached, departure imminent. What's your status?=^= Skurr's eyes narrowed in bemused satisfaction that his predictions of Relk's betrayal had proved accurate, and the pirate captain did what he always had some card up his sleeve to accomplish... turn the tables.
Skurr used his currently less-than-stellar left arm to pry open his stolen tricorder and lay it on a console surface, =^=Alf, transmit on this frequency the coordinates and drift vectors for any pods still intact.=^= As he received the data, he again had to give Parsons and his people credit. Nary a pod was destroyed, but all had been quickly removed as potential threats. He looked at the direction each pod was drifting, then nodded as he found what he needed. =^= All right buddy, begin phase 3.=^=
***************************************
In space, each of the disabled pods seemed to explode from the stresses they'd suffered from the Federation's barrage, and in so doing they scattered their contents throughout the immediate vicinity... a sizeable quantity of mineral particulates that deflected sensor scans. Each microbe provided no significant cover on its own, but each tiny piece would bounce a sensor wave away at a given angle, and as this happened literally hundreds of times amongst the spreading particle cloud the sensor waves were reflected on top of each other over and over making it extremely difficult to get any accurate readings on ship movements or power readings.
As this occurred, a 5-man vessel detaches from the belly of the Nautilus and flies just underneath Parsons' ship, and in so doing were able to get insides their shields while they were still active and pluck Skurr and Tysmur back from the Fleeters with their prize... a Federation cloaking device. Tysmur let out a heavy sigh of relief, and Alf looked quite pleased to have his captain back to resume the burden of command and as the Lurian looked appreciatively at the cloak he turned towards Skurr, "Should we install the cloak to make our escape unseen?"
Skurr shook his head and gestured toward the stars ahead of them, "No, it's too likely they'd be able to trace their own equipment if we activated it. Use the sensor blindness and Relk's timely distraction to put some distance between us, then we'll change course so our warp trail's not too easy to follow."
Alf angled the smaller craft away from the battle and began entering the warp-cycle. In the final moments before the escape ship leapt to warp, Skurr called up a visual of the Nautilus and watched it list helplessly amidst the black. The look on her captain's face was not one of regret, sorrow, or anger; however, but rather one of eager anticipation of the challenge of getting her back once this was settled...
(Apologies for taking so long; weekend was hectic.)

"Yes sir." For once she was glad she'd been crossed trained in various areas.
Jazmine nodded and stepped to the help station, quickly taking the seat, her fingers danced over the controls as she moved the ship between the alien vessel and the merchant ship.
When the other ships weapons ripped into the merchant ship she manouvered between the two. "I"m on it Sir." She kicked herself mentally for not being quicker.

The attacking vessels would be no match for them, but Paikea had to take into consideration that there was much more going on than met the eye.
"Discordia you are to protect that vessel, disable the attacking ship. I repeat you are to protect that vessel and disable the ship. Do not destroy," Paikea said as he prepared
As they made there way towards Mercury, it dawned on Paikea that the attackers were not trying to damage her. After quickly performing a scan of the module, Pai realized that they had been boarded.
"Admiral, I think the pirates are looking for something," Paikea reported," Mercury's internal sensors and transporters are offline. The debris from the destroyed vessels are distrupting our transporters. It seemed that they wanted the pods to be destroyed. They were filled with some type of chemical that has yet to be identified."
(Sonak)
"Admiral, Mercury's cloak is missing!" Paikea reported apphrensively. He knew the implications of a hostile ship having one of their cloaks," at the moment I cannot locate it!"

Relk allowed his small merchant's vessel to drift closer to the Nautilus, giving Skurr the opportunity to transport. The Federation's vessel appeared motionless in space, her shields down, possibly disabled.
The Tellarite pirate snickered in delight, a smile of pure malice on his porcine face. "They're taking the bait," he snorted, "they're so stupid. Skurr had better get a move on, before they realise that I'm in league with him." He drummed his fingers on the armrest of his wobbly chair.
He nearly fell out when a second ship, or what appeared to be part of the ship they had just boarded, appeared out of nowhere. Delight was displayed on his face and he clapped his hands, grinning broadly. "Oooh!" he exclaimed, "how sneaky, how delightfully sneaky. There's three of them!"
He turned to his gunnery officer. "Brash! Hey Brash!" He yelled, trying to get the Human's attention. "Idiot! Fire!"
Brash Vespid turned, his hands flying over his console. "Their shields are up," he reported, "and they're signaling for our surrender. I think your game's up Relk, they're on to you."
Relk cursed under his breath. "Like hell I will, return fire you idiot. Do you want Skurr trapped and detained? We'll lose all we have if he is. Get him!"
Brash dipped his head, letting the insults pass over him. "You're the idiot," he shot back, knowing the Tellarite expected it. It was tough, but doable since he didn't really like the Telarrite anyway. "They're no longer aboard the Starfleet vesse, nor on the Nautilus."
Black eyes shining, Relk turned to his gunner. "You mean the Nautilus is abandoned? Salvageable but abandoned?"
"Yes captain. And the hatch is open so we can board..."
Ten minutes later, Relk sat in Skurr's old captain's chair. "Engage!" he ordered, knowing full well the ship was damaged, but he felt her respond, slowly but steadily as engineers worked to patch her up.
"I was right!" Sonak scowled under her breath as she witnessed the small merchant approach the vessel it had just attacked. Yet, she couldn't afford to go after it, as Mercury needed assistance. "Parsons respond!"
The Vulcan listened as Paikea reported that Mercury's cloak was missing. "Daya, go after the merchant, stat!" she ordered. "Paikea, take Mercury in tow, prepare to take an engineering team over to effect repairs. We cannot cloak as a whole, with Mercury's cloaking device missing. Once Mercury is secure, Jazmine, plot a course to follow Discordia."
She tapped her combadge again. "Doctor Kennedy, prepare to receive casualties from Mercury. Prisoner and crew aline. Post guards to those that boarded Mercury, as soon as they are treated, they are to be transported to the brig. Respond."

"Moving into position," Paikea said as he sent instructions to the helm. Mercury had not sustained structural damage, so the tow was not going to be such a delicate process," tractor beam is in place, Admiral."
Not waiting for a response from the Admiral, Paikea did what he had been ordered to do. After relaying his instructions to his replacement, Pai entered the lift and contacted the engineering teams.
"...while there is no major structural damage, those [word deleted] did plenty of damage to Mercury's systems. You have all been assigned sections, but you better watch yourselves. Not all hostiles have been accounted for. With internal sensors down, we have no way of knowing who is left," Paikea said through the comm as he made his way towards the transporter. All of the tools he would need were already waiting for him.
"Alright everyone, keep yourselves safe," Paikea said as he took his position," I want reports every hour and no one is to be by themselves unitl Admiral Reckus has said otherwise."

She was quick to respond by nodding and speaking as her fingers flew over the console. "Yes Sir." Her eyes rose only once to glance at the view screen before falling once more to her console and the job before her.
Her heart beat harder as they began to give chase.

Kerry-Anne stood in the middle of sickbay as she directed several staff, she hadn’t really got the hang of being Chief but she was confident she would get into the rhythm before long.
She personally checked the medical equipment that had been placed next to each bio-bed in case a sudden influx of patients walked through the door.
When suddenly Admiral Sonaks voice came through the comm. Asking her to prepare for casualties arriving from one of the other sections of the broken up ship.
She sighed as she replied. “Aye Ma’am we are all ready down here.’
Kerry tapped her comm. Badge and said. “Sickbay to security.. I need a detail down here as soon as possible we are about to receive Pirate casualties.”
Just as she finished speaking the first lot of casualties beamed into sickbay, she had already placed a phaser in her belt just in case one of the injured pirates wanted to make a break for it.
She looked down at a pirate who looked like he was going to make a run for and she smiled as she patted the phaser on her belt. Flicking open her medical tricorder she began looking for the injured who needed the most urgent attention.
On of the pirates had suffered a rather nasty bad phaser wound to the side of his neck, his vital signs were incredibly weak, and Kerry looked to the other staff and said. “Get every available doctor nurse and orderly in here.” Looking up she said. “Computer activate the EMH.”
The hologram appeared out of thin air and Kerry said. “doctor pick a patient any patient.”
Kerry then began treating the Pirates injuries as the other staff handled both Starfleet and Pirate casualties.

Daya sat tapping the arm of his command chair as he waited for anything new from his constant scans of the battle. "Commander, 30 seconds until the last of the supplies is delivered." A smile appeared on Daya's face as he called out orders. "When the supplies are gone, i want shields up and cloak engaged, move in to provide support, keep phasers ready and wait for my orders." A quick hush soon enveloped over the crew as they waited for the words.
"Discordia you are to protect that vessel, disable the attacking ship. I repeat you are to protect that vessel and disable the ship. Do not destroy," Daya nodded to himself in response and waited for word that the supplies had all been delivered. "All supplies are on the planets surface"
"Shields up and engage the cloak, move in to provide cover for the merchant vessel. Lock phasers on and fire" Daya sat as the reports came in from all around him, "Commander, the merchant vessel is attacking the unknown alien ship. It appears the alien vessel is heavily damaged." Daya whirled around in his chair. "Move in front of the merchant vessel, block its fire. Lock phasers onto the merchants weapons systems and fire phasers, i want that ship disabled now. Send them a surrender message as well"
"Commander, incoming fire, brace for impact" Daya's tactical officer called out, much to the commander relief, at least he didn't have to everything on his own. "Sir, scans indicate the merchant vessel is moving to board the alien ship, it looks like they are abandoning the merchant ship in order to take the other"
"Move to intercept, do not allow that ship to leave, disable its engine if you have to"
<Tag all>
OOC i hope i didnt get the two ships mixed up, i was kinda confused as to who was the merchant and who wasnt.

***Mayims surface***
The Village was damaged, people no longer wanted to leave their houses the constant pirate raids had them scared beyond belief.
A lone young woman walked down a dirt road, it was her gruesome job to find the injured and dead after the most recent pirate attacks. Most of the pirates were content to steal but some seemed to have a compulsion to harm the almost defenceless people of the peace loving village.
The village was composed of many species from inside the federation and out… Romulans and Klingons lived in peace… Vulcans were free to meditate in peace along with anybody who wished to join them.
The Village was originally built by a human and Vulcan many years ago who were sick of constant fighting in the galaxy. Since then the village had grown and prospered, unfortunately their success had drawn the attention of the pirates.
They young woman searching for the injured had decided she had searched enough, she turned back to the Villages only medical centre a small concrete building that had suffered constant raids of it’s own. They were in desperate need of medical supplies that the Federation had promised to deliver but they were now late.
She entered the medical centre and was immediately overcome with the moans of the injured, the villages only living doctor turned and looked at her with fatigue and horror in his eyes.
“Gemma please get on the comm. Channel and find out were our supplies are we are going to have a lot of dead people down here if it isn’t delivered soon.”
Gemma nodded her head and walked around the injured now laying on the floor as there was no more beds left, the Romulan doctor J’Rel had done his best to keep them comfertable but there was only so much he could do.
Pressing the comm. Channel she opened a message hoping the federation ship was close enough to hear it.
“This is Gemma Hayes on the surface of Mayim we are in desperate need of the medical supplies we were promised… Please hurry.. we need help.”
She pressed the console again and programmed the message to repeat every 30 seconds. She dropped her head as the sound of a small ship filled her ears. More pirates were arriving for food and anything else that took their fancy

"Mistress Gemma, we are doing all we can to have your supplies delivered," Sonak promised, "even as we speak they should be transported to you."
On the viewscreen, she saw Discordia engage her cloaking device. "Mark, take Ensign Pedralba, prepare a shuttlecraft and meet with Mistress Gemma. I fear her supplies may have been taken by pirates."
Mark Harper nodded, stepped forward and tapped Jazmine on the shoulder. "We'll take the Etna," he stated, "she's ready for departure at present. The Stromboli's still under repair."
Sonak nodded. "Take Doctor Kennedy with you, the holograms can take care of the wounded pirates. The people of Mayim may need her more."
Harper was already halfway to the turbolift, the science chief in tow. "We'll get the supplies back ma'am," he promised, "and we'll take scans of the planet's surface too. Perhaps with some terraforming, these people could grow what they need themselves?" He tapped his combadge. "Doctor Kennedy, prepare to be transported to shuttlecraft Etna, take two nurses with you and your medkit. It will be needed, I assure you."
The night watch officer turned to the science chief, holding out his hand. "Not meaning to be rude ma'am. Commander Mark Harper, night shift XO...usually." They exited at the shuttlebay, where the Etna was waiting for them. "Do you want to pilot, or shall I?"
~ a little later ~ The figures of Doctor Kennedy and her two nurses materialised on the transporter pad of the shuttle, and she jumped to maximum speed. Minutes later, the shuttle lazily spiraled down for landing.
<take it from here jazmine, you can do as you please...just please don't write harper ;-) take any npc of your own that you like>

"Commander, the disabled pods have exploded and seem to be dispersing some sort of mineral particulates that are deflecting our sensor scans," Lieutenant Collison reported from tactical.
As Parsons was considering this, more bad news came from the operations officer, "Sir, internal sensors show that at least two life-signs have left the ship...with the cloaking device!"
"What?!" Parsons shouted in disbelief. "Where did they go?"
"Unknown," reported the Ops officer, "there's too much interference from the debris."
"Well find them, Ensign," Parsons ordered, knowing that might be beyond their current capabilities.
"Aye, Sir," responded the Ensign with a lack of confidence in her voice.
Turning to Collison, "Lieutenant, if that ship (referring to the Nautilus) powers up engines, take them out."
"I'll try, Sir, but in all this interference, I'm not sure I could tell if they were being powered up."
"Then lock on and fire if the ship moves."
"Aye, Sir, that I can do," the tactical officer reported.
"Parsons respond!" Admiral Sonak's voice was heard over the com link.
"Admiral, internal sensors down, we were boarded and our cloak has been stolen. They escaped but we're unsure how, senors are unable to cut through the interference from the debris from the destroyed attack pods. There have been explosions on board and we have casualties. Transporters are down. Orders?"
As Adam waited for a response, Collison reported, "Commander, a merchant vessel appears to have docked with the target ship. The target ship is moving away at slow impulse."
Having previously ordered the engines targeted, Parsons ordered simply, "Fire."
The tactical officer opened up on the Nautilus' engines and the Mercury Commander opened a channel. "Unidentified Vessel, power down your engines and prepare to be boarded. This is Commander Adam Parsons of Starfleet."
As Lieutenant John Collison began to fire, he hit the area of the Alien Vessel's engines and then began missing as the Mercury shook slightly. Turning to his tactical officer Parsons queried, "John, what the hell is going on?"
"The Minerva has engaged a tractor beam."
"Damn"...opening a channel, "Minerva, this is Parsons, disengage tractor beam, we have sustained significant damage but our engines are operational. I repeat, we are able to maneuver under our own power, and the Alien Vessel is escaping at low impulse."

She stood over the man she was operating on her job almost complete, he would live but she didn’t have time to feel happy about it.
"Doctor Kennedy, prepare to be transported to shuttlecraft Etna, take two nurses with you and your medkit. It will be needed, I assure you."
Came the voice over the comm. Channel Kerry-Anne took a step back and grabbed the closest medical kit and pointed to two of her nurses who nodded and stood behind her, she sighed before tapping her comm. Badge and saying.
“Kennedy here, ready for transport.”
A second later she felt the familiar feeling as she was embraced by the energy of a transporter beam. A second later the bustle of sickbay disappeared and was replaced by the quite scene of the shuttlecraft.
Out of habit, she looked down at her legs as ridiculous as she knew it was she was always scared of not being in one piece after being transported. She took a seat in the back of the shuttlecraft and nodded at her nurses to do the same.
The shuttle ride was smooth and not very long, part of Kerry-Anne wished that the trip was longer so she could at least catch her breath before having to go back to work. She had no idea what kind of health the settlers on the planet would be in but she didn’t hold out hope that it was going to be a quick and easy visit.
She looked to the front of the shuttlecraft and didn’t recognise the two people piloting the shuttle.
“Please land us as close to their medical centre as possible… there are reports of Pirate raids in the area and we don’t want to become a victim of them ourselves.”
The shuttlecraft landed with a soft thud on the ground, Kerry-Anne immediately stood up and grabbed her medical kit and looked to her nurses and frowned as she immediately thought she couldn’t remember their names.
“I must ask.. your names they have slipped my mind… sorry.”
They both smiled as they walked towards the now opening door of the shuttle. “I am Janine Baker and this is Gail Richards.”
They stepped outside and Kerry-Anne stopped to look around she was speechless the village looked as if it was at one time serene but now most of the small self sufficient houses had their windows boarded up and the plant life now dead as if people had stopped caring for them.
There were phaser scars on some of the building and fences that had once surrounded houses and cottages were now broken and lay in disrepair.
Kerry-Anne turned to her nurses and said. “We may be here for a while after all.”
She then turned to the two pilots of the shuttle and asked. “Do you two have any medical experience?”
<Tag Jazmine>
Kerry nodded. “well your going to have to act as nurse lets go.”
After a short walk to the medical centre, or the old building they had graciously designated medical centre Kerry-Anne took a deep breath. The team stepped inside and Kerry-Anne gasped as she saw the wounded almost laying on top of each other they were so cramped for space.
A Romulan man turned and ran toward them stepping over wounded as he did.
“Please tell me you are doctor?”
Kerry nodded. “I am these two are Nurses and those two have limited medical experience.”
The Romulan looked disappointed but held up a smile all the same.
“Good we have a lot of injured here and I just got word that there is a Pirate raid in progress not far from here.”
Kerry-Anne turned to Jazmine and Harper and said. “It may be a good idea if you two go asses the damage and search for injured.” Kerry looked to the Romulan doctor and said. “Can you tell them where the raid is happening exactly?”
He looked nervous as he pointed to the west and said. “Half a kilometre that way.”
<Tag Jazmine Feel free to simm anything you like about the pirate raid.. including injured ect ect Harper will be with you so tag him if you like>
After Jazmine and Harper left, Kerry-Anne looked to her nurses and said. “Janine, Gail pick out the most critically injured and assist myself and doctor..”
She paused and she looked to the Romulan and asked. “I am doctor Kennedy by the way and you are?”
He looked up form his primitive medical scanner and said. “Doctor J’Ctal.”
he then got back to work and Kerry took the hint as she knelt down and got to work herself.

The smaller craft that had detached from the belly of the Nautilus slowed from warp just outside an asteroid field about halfway between the Mayim system's star and its outermost planetoid after several erratic course changes meant to buy them some time before the Fleeters would be able to track them down. The location was chosen to house the pirates' base of operations for this system so the central location would allow them to attack prey fairly equidistantly throughout the star system.
Tysmur's deft handling of the helm brought them through the field of slowly spinning rocks and planetary debris to the hangar of their base that was carved into one of the larger asteroids. As the force field re-established itself after their landing, the hangar's work crew returned to the area to begin refueling the craft. Skurr, Tys, and Alf walked down the craft's ramp as it descended, the pirate captain carrying their 'treasure'.
The pirates' foremost tech expert... a repitilian Xindi that was somehow scrawny despite his race's genetic norms, and whose left eye had been replaced with a microscope-and-tricorder in one implant, walked up and took the cloak from Skurr as gently as if receiving an infant. Skurr had no idea what his real name was, he just called him IQ and the Xindi never seemed to mind. IQ looked the device over excitedly, then looked back up at Skurr and the others with a forlornly irritated countenance, "I suppose you want me to hook this up to something right away so you can go retrieve your ship?"
Skurr grinned but shook his head, which took both Tys and Alf a bit by surprise. "We're not going back for the Nautilus? Relk's probably laid claim to it already!", the Lurian said while Tysmur remained silent merely waiting to hear Skurr's intentions.
Skurr glanced at his wrist to a watch that wasn't there before replying, "Oh absolutely; in fact if I know Relk he's been in my chair about... 7 and a half minutes by now. Which means he's the proud current owner of a vessel that's far too damaged to either outfight or escape the Fleeters by now; which means he won't be the proud owner much longer, which means we have no need to rush to get her back."
IQ quirked his brow at the captain before finally breaking down and asking, "So what are we going to do now?"
Skurr's face went completely neutral but the mischevious grin never left his eyes as he replied to his comrades, "Next... we give back the cloak." He tilted his head in the general direction of IQ's makeshift lab, "Go find out what makes it tick, IQ." The pirate captain turned towards the force fielded entrance of the hangar and looked out at the stars and other asteroids, crossing his arms as he did so. Keep the cloak and they'd be after us forever... but copy it... then everybody goes home happy.

"Mark, take Ensign Pedralba, prepare a shuttlecraft and meet with Mistress Gemma. I fear her supplies may have been taken by pirates."
Jazmine quickly secured her station and joined Commander Harper in the turbolift. She took his hand as the lift began moving downward "Ensign Pedralba, Chief of Science."
As they entered the shuttle the Commander asked. "Do you want to pilot, or shall I?" She shook her head. "Sir, I think you better." It wasn't that she wasn't confident she could do it, she knew she could. But she wasn't ready to take the reins, not yet anyway. Being her first mission she was willing to let others do the leading, for now.
When the medical staff joined them she turned to greet them as they moved to the front of the shuttle. The doctor was quick to ask regarding their medical expertise. “Do you two have any medical experience?”
"I have some Doctor and am more than willing to lend a hand if needed." she said, speaking up. She shrugged when the doctor labeled her as a nurse. It didn't really matter, she knew her way around sickbay and worked well in the field, having had field training.
After the shuttle landed and they'd all disembarked the doctor issues her orders “It may be a good idea if you two go asses the damage and search for injured.”
Jazmine nodded "Yes sir." She looked in the direction that the Romulan doctor pointed and nodded. "On my way sir." she grabbed a field kit and headed out. She took her time moving, wanting to make sure she didn't miss anyone by being in a hurry.

"Acknowledged Mercury," Sonak answered and signaled for Paikea to disengage the tractorbeam. This was going from bad to worse. Mercury was in no condition to put up a fight, Discordia was but needed to protect the planet, and Minerva was too valuable to risk. Yet, the primary module was the only one currently capable.
"Pursue that vessel," she ordered the pilot. "Adam, can you get a lock on the occupants of the drifting vessel? I want their captain behind bars and questioned. Perhaps the captain will talk or cut a deal. Cut him any reasonable deal but find out who is behind all this!"
Next, she opened a channel to the crew now stuck on the planet. "Doctor, you are going to be on your own for a while. Minerva is going after the pirates. If you need anything, Discordia should remain within communication's range, as should Mercury. Beware of pirate activity on the planet, do not go out unarmed or alone. Understand? One of you should remain with the shuttle at all times. I prefer Commander Harper does as he has no medical or science knowledge and should be of little help otherwise. You are in charge doctor, until further notice."
Sighing, Sonak finally contacted Daya. "We are in pursuit," she informed her operations chief. "Remain in orbit, contact Parsons if you are engaging enemy craft. The people on the planet are your priority, as well as the recovery of their suppies." She cut the channel. "Leave orbit and prepare for warp one," she ordered, "engage."
off: savot, what's your plan on returning our cloak? do we come get it or does skurr have a "plan" to appear innocent and having 'found' it for us.
