Mission 9.2 Idea/Sypnosis

Ok, I here present a rough idea for a possible mission, to start fairly soon if you folks are happy with it.

The Vic is currently docked at Assailant on a brief shore leave, awaiting her next orders in the aftermath of its return - as part of a task force - from a Kasar controlled system.

In keeping with Wong's plans to have something of a Kasar-related arc - that I'm hoping we'll be able to grow out of to higher things in time - I'm going to involve the Kasar from the outset.

The idea is that, while docked, the docking area around the Victory's personnel vestibule suffers a large explosion, with the ship perhaps being cast free of the station moorings as a result. It is, as we later find, a Kasar bomb that was set off by a Kasar that managed to sneak aboard one of the task force's ships. (somehow)

There are some Vic crewmembers on the station and some on the ship, hence confusion ensues in the wake of a virtual 'terrorist attack'.

From there, there will be a hunt on to find not only the person who set the bomb off, but also as it turns out, another score or so Kasar that have managed to infiltrate through one of the task force's ships. The question is which one. And is there a traitor? Where will the search lead the Victory and her crew, and is there another target?


I know, not so much a sypnosis as a collection of thoughts strung together. Is this something that we think we could work with? I don't want to impose a mission upon people and doubtless there will be those of you that hate it. Basically, what kind of mission would give you folks the most impetus to write? Lol.

Feel free to rip into my mission idea, or offer suggestions to improve it. I am fully open to having more of it 'out there' in space rather than situated at the station. Bear in mind that we will be moving away from the station eventually in this mission. I am also fully open to a complete change in mission, should adequate reason be given, of course!

I recommend we don't split up the senior staff........rather have all staff be on SBA and use npc's to post from the ship. In my experience, splitting crews rarely works well.

Ok, we are going to go with this mission. Thank you greatly for your input Mr. Saryn, very useful having such an experienced commander on board!

My next post will be 'sort of' continuing on from where we are at the moment, except that it will be opening a new thread for our new mission. Expect that after Admiral Lin has replied to Gheskori in the current old mission thread.

Let's make this a good one folks. I expect a great deal from all of us... Not stern expectation, but excited expectation! We can start by continuing to post on this old thread as if it's the new mission, as I will be starting it with my next post.
