Captain Jon Park had been on Earth for 2 days looking at reports from the Academy security division on his sisters disappearance. Where she was he had no idea, who took her. Well they had found traces of Klingon DNA and a Klingon Bird of Pray was at Earth in the time frame allowed to have her sister taken by Klingon's.
Park was now resting in the Officers Quarters at Starfleet Commands Visiting CO's Section, At the deck was a Computer linked to the Nevada's Computer and another linked to the Federation Security division's archives reviewing the times codes and tracking every time his sister's Command codes were used or she was heading to class.
Park had contacted the Captain of the Dallas and requested a Temporary transfer of Lt.Commander Park to his command, the Captain of the Dallas didn't hesitate when Jon asked but he added that 2 Starships were better then one. Jon agreed it was official the USS Nevada and USS Dallas was put in to the Starfleet command's official assignment roster.
Park had just finish specking to several friends when they computer beeped. He looked up and saw a Communication from a unknown source. "Computer track the source of the incoming communication." The computer beeped "Trace failed." Park tapped the screen and a the communique appeared it read."
You already know the truth and where to go...The past is repeating it's self ....... You didn't learn from your first turn in this game.
Jon almost at once knew what that meant. =/\= Park to all Nevada crew. Report back to the Nevada by 1300 today. Park out." Jon then stood up and ran to the door. Jon ran right to the Security office of Commander Tuvok, He pushed the chime and was surprised to have the door open. "Captain Park i was just going to contact you. We have found your sister. Jon stopped him "No commander but i may have, Get Admiral Paris and Janeway and meet me and the crew of the Dallas and the Nevada in Classroom 2 in 15 minutes."

Captain Jon Park, Admiral Janeway as well as Admiral Paris with Commander Tuvok stood in the Security Classroom as they waited for the Crews of the Nevada and Dallas joined them.
"Admiral's." Jon began, "You understand we need to have classified information about my past reviled?" Park knew he had to but would the Admiral's allow it. "Yes Captain thats why this meeting will be Classified as well." Jon nodded
Soon all members were present and sitting. Admiral Janeway started the meeting. "First i must inform you this meeting is classified due to information that will be reveled." As all crew nodded they understood Admiral Janeway turned to Captain Park.
"Well let me just begin with a communique i received about an hour ago. Is stated that the Past is repeating itself. To understand that you must know about something from my past. All most 20 years ago when i was 15, Macy Park my sister was kidnapped once before by Klingons. I was attending Starfleet Prep East coast at the time." Jon looked at his mother and father they had not known about this part of his life all they knew was Macy was kidnapped and that Jon went to look for her.
"Myself and Paul Marcus who was thinking about going into the Academy went to look for her, we heard a bunch of klingons were in a bar just outside of town. We heard for a Klingon Commander they and i quote "got that human's sister." so we went went to a Transporter and hacked into Starfleet sensors and locked onto the Klingon bird of Prey and beamed onto it."
Park looked at the computer and tapped some controls, "I was trying to chart where we were but i wasn't very good at reading Klingon. But i soon found we were near Korth IV and the USS Intrepid was at Starbase 243 in the Hari System less then 2 light years way. We had to get the ship stopped and the Intrepid to us."
"When we were heading to where human lifesigns were located on the ship, Paul had opened a Klingon weapons locked and we managed to get some weapons. We got to the holding area and took out 4 klingons. Then rescued the captives, As we returned to the beaming site we got a distress call to the Intrpid and they came with in an hour."
Park then turned to the crews and the Admiral's "We need to head to Korth IV, thats where these crazy events started." Park said.

Sharon had been on the Nevada working with science on the sensors, they worked through the night for several days trying to find Captain Park's sister. They did discover something with klingons and recognized that the Captain and another had beamed aboard.
Since Sharon was senior officer onboard she stayed, as long as the Captain and first officer were offship she would do her best to help the captain, then the signal came to meet in a classroom
Sharon transported to the classroom and walked in, she recognized Admiral Janeway and her officers with Captain Park and made her way to the front

.:.Unknown Planet 1 month ago.:.
James adjusted the all black outfit before looking at the young blonde next to him. Somehow she looked almost identical to him, and it seemed like this whole crisis was just too much. Their impending doom seemed to be too much for them as he raised his wrist to his mouth. A quiet almost serene sounding whisper seemed to echo, "We are in position." He reached behind his back drawing the weapon with greater ease then before.
He turned his attention to the woman who stood next to him and nodded. A loud crash could be heard from around the corner of the pile of items. Several shouts followed as James and the unknown woman popped around the corner, "FREEZE!" He shouted causing the other occupants to the room to stop moving. James quickly grabbed up the first of the two Cohen exchange members in his grasp the woman grabbing the other.
The remaining few that were there trained their weapons on Cohen, but without a shot being fired several Starfleet Intelligence personnel appeared around the corner. James smiled "Great work Commander Cohen." He said as he placed the cuffs on the first of the two leaders of the terrorist cell that had been planning an all out assault on several Klingon worlds.
Kelsey Cohen smiled widely as she placed the cuffs on the other one. "Thanks Commander."
.:.Starfleet Headquarters.:.
James paced the floor without looking at his sister who had remained sitting. "They are reassigning me from the Intelligence department, but it's not into engineering I just know it..."
Kelsey smiled, "Would you just relax." She responded smiling wryly. She wore the same Intelligence uniform with matching rank insignia as her brother. Like her twin brother she had just aided in taking down the Cohen Exchange however she had been working it longer then him.
"How can I-"
"Lieutenant Commander James Cohen, the Personnel Department Head will see you now."
James heard the voice and walked inside his palms sweaty. As he walked in and popped to attention.
"At ease Commander."
James nodded and stood easy while looking at the Admiral who stood before him. "Yes Ma'am?"
"Alright you're new orders are in Commander I'm sorry to inform you, but we don't have any engineering positions available right now. So I'm assigning you to the U.S.S. Nevada as their new Chief of Navigation. And, Commander also for you're work in the Cohen situation there may be an early opportunity into an XO position if you accept this position."
James nodded sighing heavily. "I'll take the position Admiral."
"Very well, dismissed."
James nodded and stepped out of the office. His sister's look made him realize that she was requesting to know what had happened. "I'm going to the Nevada as their Navigation Officer."
Kelsey stood up it was her turn to be assigned, but she patted her brother on the back, "It's alright James I'm certain everything will work out."
James smiled weakly and sat down, but it didn't take long because his sister came out of the office, "Assigned as the Acting XO on board the Nalvania." He heard her say, and the two would hug because this would be the last time in a long time that they'd get to see each other.
.:.Nevada.:.
James stepped off the transporter pad and followed the junior officer to his quarters. He was a little saddened to be wearing the red uniform instead of a yellow one, but he would just have to get over it...

Captain Park along with his Acting XO and Chief of security heading back to the main transporter. He was being followed closely behind by his mother and father as well as Admiral Paris and Janeway. They reached the Transporter ans Admiral Paris and janeway stepped up with him. "Since your here we should do a Ship tour.' Janeway said.
Park smiled and said to the Lt.Commander behind the Transporter controls "Energize." Jon saw the room and window showing the Academy main building dissolve and to be replaced by the face of Ensign Morris the Transporter officer who was suppose to be on duty at that time. Morris snapped to attion when she saw two admirals on the Padd. "at ease Ensign, Put the Admiral's in the VIP Quaters on deck 2 by the XO's Office." Morris nodded and motioned to the Admiral's "This way sir's"
Park watched the Admiral's leave and turned to his two officers. "Mrs.Wolf i want your best Security officers to be stationed near the Admiral's."
<Tag Wolf>
Park looked at his Acting FO "Dun, walk with me." Jon headed out and started to the head for the turbolift "I have to find a Full FO, I like what you have done in the position to date. I am putting a Commendation in your file, I would never want to lose you however if a position becomes open i would not stop you from pursuing it." Park stopped as the turbolift stopped on the deck they were on and stepped in. "As of right now i have no candidates but i know that will change soon." To the computer Park said "Bridge." returning to Dun park finished. "I will be in the Ready room set a course for Korth IV and get me the Captain of the Dallas."
The lift stopped and Park stepped out, Turning to Dun he added one more order "With Admiral Janeway and Paris here i would like you in Engineering for the time being." Jon turned to look at his bridge and saw a new officer sitting at the ships Helm.
Park walked into the Ready Room and sat in his seat touching the computer controls he saw a communique from the office of starfleet personal. "The is to inform Captain Jon Park that Lt.Commander James Cohan has been hereby transfered to the Uss Nevada as NCO. Starfleet out."
Jon was getting up to call in the new officer when his door chime went off. "Enter." There stood the new CNO "Commander Cohan please come in. Tell me your not telepathic." Park said
<Tag Cohan>
Park moved back to him desk and tapped the console and started to look at the officers file. "I see you were on the Enzio, I know she is a new ship. Didn't like the new class? need to classics feel of the Akira class starship." Jon was trying to read his new officer.
<Tag Cohan>
"Understood, I know how it is on a new ship not only class but crew." Park started to look at his service record some more. "I see you have a twin who was just giving acting XO of the Nalvania, she's a good ship but i would have your sister get ready for another change. From what i have seen she is going to be retired in 6 months and a new class is going to be given her name. She is going to be a Insignia class starship."
Jon turns back to face him" Anyway Commander i see you have a engineering backround. I have a Chief there right now, but that can change as you know." Park saw a note in his file. "I see you are looking for a XO position, As i am sure you are aware i have not had a Regular XO and have been using Acting officers." Looking at his new officers he looked for the score he is looking for. "I am not sure if this is correct Commander, but i don't see your score for the XO test. I will look into this more and get back to you." Jon looked at him "Anything for me Commander ?"

.:.Quarters.:.
James was rather quick to unpack his things when two uniforms fell from his bag the first one was the black intelligence uniform that he'd worn on his mission. The second one was a red uniform, which made him frown for a moment as he lifted it up and slip it on. He placed the pips gently having not worn any for the past several months it was rather difficult to wear them now.
He carefully slipped the black uniform back inside the bag and hung it up before sighing heavily and making his way towards the bridge.
.:.Bridge/Ready Room.:.
James had barely sat down at the helm to try and remember all the different controls when he overheard voices from behind him. Without turning he could clearly identify one of them. And, out of frustration he stood up looking once more over the helm controls, I really need to find the directions for this thing! He thought to himself as he walked over to the ready room where the Captain had just entered.
Jon was getting up to call in the new officer when his door chime went off. "Enter." There stood the new CNO "Commander Cohan please come in. Tell me your not telepathic." Park said
"No I'm not telepathic though my previous superior's have told me I have an odd sense of empathy."
Park moved back to him desk and tapped the console and started to look at the officers file. "I see you were on the Enzio, I know she is a new ship. Didn't like the new class? need to classics feel of the Akira class starship." Jon was trying to read his new officer.
"I didn't exactly leave the Enzio by choice sir. In fact I think my previous erm...Mission is classified by Starfleet Intelligence past your level and therefore I don't think I can really speak about it in great detail."

James looked at him a bit sideways for a moment before rebalancing himself he wasn't looking actively for an executive officer position in fact the thought simply scared the hell out of him. "Well sir to be completely honest you won't find a test score because I've never taken the test. Frankly I'm rather frightened of the idea of even being on the bridge again much less of being in one of the two center seats."
(TAG)
He tried his best to appear subtle, "And, yes my sister is the Acting XO on that particular ship it's a test run really to see how she does. She was also involved in said classified mission with the intelligence department. And, as far as Engineering department goes while I would love to be down there again I'm just happy to be back on a ship, and not having to always look over my shoulder while keeping my phaser rifle set to kill and sleeping with one eye open."

"No I'm not telepathic though my previous Superior's have told me I have an odd sense of empathy."
Jon smiled "Timing is more like it Commander. Have a seat."
"I didn't exactly leave the Enzio by choice sir. In fact I think my previous erm...Mission is classified by Starfleet Intelligence past your level and therefore I don't think I can really speak about it in great detail."
Jon nodded as he understood as he listened what his new officer was telling him. Classified missions seem to be starfleet's mandate of late. He was also part of the intelligence division once a long time ago. Just after his own sister was kidnapped.
"I have a level of clearance that would shock even some Admiral's that we have on board as i may add." Jon saw he was a little shocked at that. "I have been many things before i joined the Nevada and starfleet anyway." Jon stopped
Jon was shocked that he was looking for a XO position but not taken the test. "Well then i will have to get that test for you. Without taking it you can't get to the XO position. As for engineering I would like you to work one shift there a week until you feel.... well back to your ship legs so to speck." Park looked at his computer "I will clear it with Commander Dun that your down there. I will also give you unlimited access to the ships computer so you can get back to standards on both helm and engineering."
<Tag Cohan>
"Well Commander." Jon said to Cohan as he stood and offered his hand. "Welcome to the Nevada and your dismissed for now, Have Ensign Marco take the conn i don't expect we are leaving soon with two Admirals aboard."
<Tag Cohan>
Jon watched him leave and Park tugged at his uniform top and exited the Ready Room heading for the Turbolift. Park saw the bridge and went to deck 5, He stepped up to Corporal on guard "I would like to speck with Admiral Janeway." The guard stepped aside and Park went in. Admiral Katherine Janeway was sitting at the deck with a Cup of coffee and working on something.
"Captain i am sure you would like to get underway Admiral Paris went to the Dallas and i have to get back to the Academy. Commander Tuvok will continue to work on a few things from this end, But i am putting the Ship tour on hold." As Admiral Janeway stood she tapped her combadge "Janeway to Starbase One one to transport to Section 3 level 7 in the Main Academy building." Janeway and Park listened to a Ensign say "Ready to transport Admiral. Standing by for your order."
Janeway looked at Jon, "Captain good luck, Starbase One energize." Park watched as the admiral beamed out of his ship and back to earth. Jon then headed out. "The Admiral is no longer on the ship your dismissed." Jon then headed back to the bridge, Taking the center chair he tapped the ship wide comm.
"To all crew, we have the blessing of one of the highest command personal in Starfleet, We will be heading into the heart of the Klingon empire going very close to the Romulian boarder. We know that one Klingon bird of prey was on earth during the same time my sister was kidnapped. our destination is Korth IV. Bridge out." Park looked at the helm and wondered what this mission would bring and how his sister was.

Captain Jon Park sat in the command chair watching the star streak by at warp as they headed to the Klingon empire. Park knew relations with the Klingon's were stressful to say the least. Park knew they would have the right to enter but he also knew they would find Klingon ships waiting for them.
"Helm distance to the Klingon border." Park asked and when he heard the the distance he said "Yellow Alert, Raise Shields." Jon didn't want to take the risk. His hunch saw right as the Nevada reached the official border to the Klingon Empire Captain Park heard from his Tactical officer.
"Two Klingon Ships De clocking, One Bird of Prey and one Vor'cha-class attack cruiser." Jon said just as fast "All Stop, Hail the Vor'cha class ship."
---Vor'cha class ship--------
Colonel Dorvin sat in the center chair watching as the Federation ship slowed to a stop, he had been just a young Bekk warrior when he had seen his first Federation starship. It was the Uss Gordon a Oberth class starship. He was ordered to board the ship and locate a piece of information, he had gotten the information but it was at the cost of 3 federation officers.
"My lord the Federation ship is hailing." His first officer informed him. " I will speck to this Federation Dog." The link was opened and the Colonel was surprised to see this young officer in the Center chair not only was he young but he also knew him. "Lt.Jon Park??? I see they have given you the command you so richly deserve."
--Uss Nevada--------
"Captain Jon park was shocked when he was the officer who was sitting on in the center chair of the Klingon ship. "Lt.Jon Park??? I see they have given you the command you so richly deserve."
Park nodded as they officer he knew from his past. "I have been given the Rank of Captain my old friend, We need to speck in private." Jon knew he would allow him on his ship or to go to his. "I agree your ship or mine?" his old friend said. Jon smiled and said "Since i am in your space lets make it your ship."
Jon stood and pulled down on his uniform "I will transport over in 10 Dorvin, Nevada out." Jon moved to the turbolift and stepped in and he said "Transporter room 2." Before the doors closed his Security Cheif slipped in "Captain you shouldn't go to that ship unarmed." Park smiled "Trust me Commander i am kin on that ship, i willnot be harmed."

Seth braced himself when he witnessed the two Klingon warships decloaking of the Nevada's port-forward quarter. He didn't need, or nobody needed to be reminded that relations with the Empire had been frosty of late. Arguments over colonial placements, borders and trading routes, as well as over fleet sharing and just general politics within the sector, had put a strain on what was usually a solid friendship.
Thus it was a relief when the Captain appeared to know the Klingon commander aboard the Vor'cha attack cruiser. In fact, Seth observed with surprise, such was the friendship between them - or at least the acquaintance - Park managed to invite himself over to the other vessel.
"Trust me Commander i am kin on that ship, i will not be harmed," the Captain answered Sharon Wolf's concerns with a smile.
"Still, sir," Seth put in, "Perhaps you should go with a couple of officers, not necessarily security but just some personnel to keep an eye out. Not all of their crew will be as welcoming as their Captain."
<tag Park>
Seth reflected on his own words as Park left the bridge. Yes, certainly, the words and actions of a superior officer didn't always reflect those of the people he commanded. He'd learnt that the hard way back at Starbase...
A number of days ago, Earth Spacedock...
"Hah, you haven't seen her, I know for sure." The red-collared Lieutenant tossed back another drink and swung towards the bar.
Seth set a heavy hand on the man's shoulder and twisted him back around. "I know that, Lieutenant. I'm looking for her, and asking you questions to try and locate her." The Lieutenant looked at him, seemingly lucid until his eyes glazed over and he again stumbled into the seat. Seth rolled his eyes and scanned the bar for other possibilities; he was tired of dealing with drunks; even if this drunk was an old... acquaintance
He decided to try one more time, hoping to glean at least some information from this officer, as had been suggested he could. Apparently, this man knew Captain Park's sister from a couple assignments ago, but right now it was looking a virtual certainty that he didn't even remember her.
"So, when was - "
The drunken fist arced through the air too fast for Seth to react. It made hard contact with Seth's face and he found himself spun through the air, and then lying prone in a puddle of synthehol on the bar's floor. He was shocked at the showing of aggression from his former friend. But that was when it really kicked off.
"... I have a hard time believing what's happened to him," Seth stated. He was feeling in philosophical mood now.
The Captain of the USS Beirut stood before him. "I'm sorry, Lieutenant, he's just too far gone now. He'll be stripped of his commission, of course. I thought he'd be of help, thought he'd brighten at seeing your face and feel useful again at having an opportunity to help..."
Seth let the Captain continue, still too dazed and with a fast-developing headache. Small shocks like this occurred periodically through one's life; they could only be evaluated on an individual basis after the fact, and then learnt from. He sighed; the sickbay bed suddenly seemed extremely inviting again, and so he took the chance to lie down.
Bridge of the Nevada, few days later
"Picking up his lifesign now," Seth reported to the senior officer, working his console and observing Park's sensor signal as the Captain moved through the corridors of the Klingon ship accompanied by a couple Klingon biosigns.
Everything seemed to be in order. They needed only to keep an eye on things and wait for the Captain's return. Seth decided he could relax, so he headed down to the lower level of the bridge and to the helm console.
"Commander Cohen, good to have you aboard. Lieutenant Helacaan, ship operations, if you didn't know." He extended his hand to the new navigation officer.

"I have a level of clearance that would shock even some Admiral's that we have on board as i may add." Jon saw he was a little shocked at that. "I have been many things before i joined the Nevada and starfleet anyway." Jon stopped
James tried to smile weakly, "I understand sir, regardless I would prefer not to discuss the hell that I've been through for the past six months." It had been hell that wasn't a lie, because at first he was worried that his sister had been killed in action. But, when he found out that Starfleet had been lying to him, and using him as bait he became angry. A lot of things were questioned including his loyalty to the fleet. To his relief it was over, even if the situation did get rather hairy several times during his absence from normal fleet operations.
"Thank you Captain that will help me greatly."
"Well Commander." Jon said to Cohan as he stood and offered his hand. "Welcome to the Nevada and your dismissed for now, Have Ensign Marco take the conn i don't expect we are leaving soon with two Admirals aboard."
James nodded, "Thank you." He responded after shaking the Captain's hand. He then vanished from the bridge for a while thoughts of anger at Starfleet became sparked once more after the conference with his new Commanding Officer. He took a deep breath as he dropped the bag inside his quarters before unpacking. He closed his eyes no longer wanting to think about what he'd been through. It was, afterall, over.
.:.Bridge.:.
I shall not regret today what I did yesterday, for the sake of my tomorrow! He repeated the phrase rolling it over in his mind several times as he stepped onto the bridge. It did what it was meant to, it soothed his thoughts calming the terrible storm within. Commander Sakal the counselor that he'd spoken to following the events that had unfolded told him that this phrase would be his best defense. Though Sakal was a Vulcan female, her point was valid.
"Commander Cohen, good to have you aboard. Lieutenant Helacaan, ship operations, if you didn't know." He extended his hand to the new navigation officer.
His thoughts were broken however when a voice drew him back into reality. "Oh, hello Lieutenant!" He extended his hand out and shook the other's before withdrawing it. He then stepped towards the helm and relieved the Ensign that was sitting there. He seen that Captain Park was absent from the bridge and on the viewer was a ship. He would need to learn the controls quickly, and so he began to study the console before unlocking it and taking it into manual controls. His palms touched the panel a grin crossing his features.
It was at this point that he noticed he was the senior officer on the bridge causing his frown to replace the smile. It was okay though he remained in his seat, he could command the bridge crew from his seat at the helm, but if things got bad he would have to move to the center seat for the first time in his career...

"With Admiral Janeway and Paris here i would like you in Engineering for the time being."
"Aye, sir." replied Dunowin.
The lift opened and deposited Captain Park on the bridge. When the doors sealed, Dun started it moving once again.
"Engineering."
A few seconds later, he found himself walking into what he considered home.
"Commander." came a call from his assistant chief. "Is there something wrong, sir?"
"No Bob. Everything is okay. Captain Park just wanted me down here while the Admirals are aboard. Just to keep an eye on things. Anything new?" he asked.
They made their way into the office and both headed for the seat behind the desk.
"Sorry, sir..." began the assistant chief. "I..."
"No. My fault. The department is still yours for now. I haven't been relieved as XO. Just making sure everything is running smoothly. We have a couple of Admirals aboard and I heard mention of a tour. Please. Take your seat." Dun said a he motioned to the chair behind the desk. He quietly deposited himself in a different chair. The two men sat and went over departmental reports. It didn't take long for Dun to realize how much he missed Engineering but he was also enjoying his time as XO. He found himself hoping it didn't end too soon.

Jon stopped a moment "Your right seth, But if you think i am going to show then and my old friend we have no ill will to the Empire, then going overe then with people and phasers isn't a good idea." Jon then stepped onto the trasporter and said to the officer at the console "Energize."
IKS Gotha
Jon appered on the transporter pad of the Gotha and saw his old friend. "Captain i see your well." his old friend said to him, Jon stepped down and tossed him a data chip. "This is the Bird of Bray that was at earth the day my sister was kidnapped. I know its from the house of Korath." Jon walked with the Klingon to the Bridge, he watched as officers looked at him with a look like what the hell are you doing here human.
Jon and his long time friend entered the klingon version of a ready room. Dorvin tapped a control and a slot appeered, he slipped the chip in and then saw data fly across his computer. "Ah yes that ship...I thought she was destroyed three years ago." He tapped a panel and opened a channel. "Helm change course 248 mark 32. Warp 3." He then turned to Jon "We fight as one."
Park nodded and tapped his combadge "Park to Nevada, One to beam back." He then heard from his ship "Sir we can't a Bird of Pray just declocked and locked weapons."

James watched as the Klingon Bird of Prey appeared from nowhere. He quickly stood up from the helm and slid back away, as senior officer on the bridge it was his command now with Captain Park away and the acting XO down in engineering. An ensign that looked to be a green officer fresh from the academy took his place. Ah, this outta be good... He said just as the tactical officer informed him of something he'd dreaded.
"Sir they are locking weapons."
Then he heard the Captain over the comm next which he had no choice, ""Sir we can't a Bird of Prey just declocked and locked weapons." He turned his attention to the tactical officer, "Raise forward shields, and hail them!"
(Tag Park)
He continued to shake his head as he sat down in the center seat on the bridge. "Bridge to Engineering a Klingon ship just appeared, and I don't think they are too friendly. Commander Dunowin I have everything up here on the bridge under control, but Captain Park is stuck on the other Klingon ship. More power to our forward shields would be nice in case they start firing! Commander Cohen out!"
(Tag Dunowin)
James tapped his chin, "Lieutenant Helacaan is there any way to get Park back on board by shifting our shield harmonics to allow for a ten second beam in scenerio?"

Seth was surprised at the speed Cohen chose to take over the bridge, but, he supposed, the officer should be commended for his fast reactions under duress, especially with him being an all-new member of the ship. Commander Wolf was of course senior, but she seemed to have her hands full with the tactical station. Seth didn't blame her.
He worked his console, warily eyeing the manoeuvring Bird of Prey as he configured the sensors to give a tactical readout, coordinating with Wolf at tactical.
"Lieutenant Helacaan is there any way to get Park back on board by shifting our shield harmonics to allow for a ten second beam in scenerio?" Cohen asked.
Seth cocked his head then worked his station again. Rotating shield harmonics was a fine way to block enemy fire that was starting to bleed through the hull (because of the other ship's adjusting its weapon frequencies to match). Also though, changing the harmonics could allow a transporter operator of sufficient skill to perform a beam-out.
"Aye sir," he said after the moment's thought, "I recommend though we put the Klingon ship between ourselves and the Bird of Prey while we do it, in case their weapons find a way through."
While the Nevada twisted and turned the Bird of Prey lanced forward, wings splayed above its hull ready to pounce. The disruptor points at the wingtips ignited in green fire and energy bolts flew towards the Akira class ship; she shuddered under the blast.
"We have a lock on Captain Park, sir, shall I execute the beam out?" Seth glanced over at Sharon Wolf as he addressed Cohen, silently asking if she as the tactical officer would prefer to conduct the transport in addition to the harmonics rotation she was performing.

Lieutenant Hasak's reassignment to engineering - in order to assist Dunowin's assistant chief whom Hasak knew only as 'Bob' - had been eventful so far. He'd had to contend with broken plasma manifolds, torridly misbehaving magnetic constrictors, temperamental fusion reactors and irksome plasma leaks. He missed his coolly-conducted administrative duties in the Ops department, but he also had to admit, he liked getting his Benzite hands dirty.
The deck shook in brief staccato motion as the former Ops lieutenant lurched towards the upper level's master console. "Commander Dunowin, those first disruptor bolts cut off power to plasma conduits 7 beta through 8 epsilon. Deflector power is down by twenty percent!" Hasak called down to the lower level.

"Understood Mr Cohen. I'll be there shortly. Keep this comm open." Dun answered as he turned back to his staff.
He was just getting ready to tell his second n command to start working on a way to get he captain back when he heard Commander Cohen ask the same thing of their Ops officer on the bridge. He stood there for a second and listened to the exchange. When he heard Lieutenant Helacaan reply, he knew the Captain would be in good hands so Dunowin turned his attention back to Engineering. Just as he and Lt. Writa, aka Bob, went back to working with the shields, the Nevada violently shook.
"BRIDGE! What's happening up there?" he called out over the open comm.
Before there came a reply, he heard Lieutenant Helacaan's voice.
"We have a lock on Captain Park, sir, shall I execute the beam out?"
"YES!" Dun shouted as he himself was being called from across the room by the young Benzite who had transferred from Ops.
"Commander Dunowin, those first disruptor bolts cut off power to plasma conduits 7 beta through 8 epsilon. Deflector power is down by twenty percent!"
"Bob. See if you can help him out. Transfer any power needed other than from Weapons and shields. I'm headed to the bridges. Keep us flying."
With that, Dunowin turned and headed out. A few seconds later, the turbolift doors parted and deposited him on the bridge.
"Report." he said as he walked to the tactical station. "Where's the Captain? Do we have him back on board yet?"

Jon watched as the Klingon ship appered and read the Klingon displys show they were targeting the Nevada, His old friend sat in his command chair as Park moved to the secondary tactical station. Park knew he was unable to do much but gave him the ability to watch the Nevada.
Jon was not so conserned with his crew he had many fine officer's on his ship. Park looked at the console and saw the ship firing on the Nevada, He felt the pull of a transporter for a moment. He thought for a moment as he saw the Nevada move between the Klingon bird of prey and the attack crusier he was on.
"Park to Nevada." Jon said tapping his combadge for two reasons, one so he didn't have to use the comm on his friends ship just in case and two so he could feel connected to his crew.
<Tag Cohan>
"Mr.Cohan target the secondary sheild emitters near the apex of the wing span." Jon knew a lot of klingon ships thanks to his friendship with the commanding officer of the Gotha.
<Tag Cohan>
"I want to disable the klingon ship, i belive they may know where my sister is." Park said not just to the Nevada but to the Klingon officers near him. Park watched as the Gotha and the Nevada fired on the klingon Bird hitting the sheilds and Park watched as the rear sheilds started to fail.
The Bird of Prey turned and fired a torpeda at the Gortha and the power grid went offline. "Captain we have lost power on deck 3 and 4, an eps power tap has exploded.I am getting reports of damage....Nothing that repair teams can't fix." Park reported to his friend. On the screen he saw a volly of torpedo's leave the Nevada and strike the klingon ship destroying the starboard warp pylon. "klingon ship disabled."
Park tapped his combadge "Park to Nevada, two to transport." Park went to his friend "Captain lets see what our brothers on the Bird of prey have to say."
Uss Nevada Deck 20 Brig
Captain Jon Park, Klingon commander Dorvin with several secuirty officers entered the Federtion brig. In both were several Klingon warriors and they stood when Park entered. "Who is in command of your ship." Park asked. Just before a klingon officer to young to be in command Parks father Lt.Commander Park entered the Brig, more liked charged into the brig.
"Who took my child." Michael Park scanned the brig and walked up to the field. "Did you take my child, what about you." Jon watched his father before he said "Commander Park that's enough." Michael looked at him "But Jon.." Captain Park cut him off, "No Commander, we will find Macy but not if you go gun ho on every Klingon you see, Nor will you do that on my ship." Park stepped closer to Lt.Commander Park "I will speck to you in my Ready Room Commander dismissed." Michael Park walked out, but looked at him.
Park left the brig after specking to several Klingons getting some usefully information, Park entered the turbolift "Bridge." He knew he was going to have to explain things to his father. As the Captain of the Nevada he had a duty to his crew and visitors, Park also knew his father had a reason to act the way he did.
Park enter the bridge and walked to the side of the tactical station.Park said to the crew there since Dun was now on the bridge "Report."
<Tag Dun>
Park listened and then said "Begin repairs and bring me the reports. Is commander Park in my ready room?" Once Dun confirmed he was Park smiled and said "This will be fun." Park then entered his Ready Room.
He walked around his desk and went up to the Replicator "2 Coffee's, Light and sweet." Park watched as the cups appered in the replacator slot and he put the cups on his desk one near him and another near his father. "Commander i understand what you did in the brig, but let me say if you ever do that on my ship again you will be dealing with me." Park tapped the console and brought up a star chart and said "Now as for what we found out a ship was located in the Dortha nebula, it matches the ship that was at earth."
<Tag Open>
Park tapped his combadge "Park to bridge. Contact the Dallas and send then our new info, then set a course 234 mark 65 warp 5." Park closed the channel and sat back readressing his father, "Now how is mom, i have been so busy i havent seen her"

Sharon got her security teams together to help with the Admirals then headed up to the bridge. They had headed to the meeting place with the klingons, the Captain beamed over then all hell broke loose.
The ship moved through space quickly taking a beating on its shields, Sharon was firing weapons as quickly as her fingers tapped the contrrols, the things quieted slightly and the Captain wanted to be beamed aboard, Seth asked her is she wanted to handle the transport.
"I can do it from here, just give me enough time." Sharon said with a tight frown watching the shields and the klingon ship that had just appeared.
She got a lock and hit transport watching the power carefully and the transport was complete. "The Captain is here. He is in the brig."
Sharon nodded to a Lieutenant that had just come up to the bridge. "Mike, keep an eye on the klingon ship out there, I will be in the brig."
Sharon left the bridge and headed for the lift and took it down to the brig. She walked toward it and found the Captain and several klingons. "Whats going on Captain?" Sharon asked.

"Go ahead Captain."
"Mr.Cohan target the secondary sheild emitters near the apex of the wing span." Jon knew a lot of klingon ships thanks to his friendship with the commanding officer of the Gotha.
James looked at the security officer standing at the tactical station, "You heard him!"
.:.Present.:.
James sighed a breath of relief knowing that Captain Park was back on the ship, and still being the ranking officer on the bridge for only a few moments longer wasn't too bad. Finally the acting XO did arrive allowing James to walk over to what he considered his baby the helm station. It was an even shorter amount of time when the Captain walked across the bridge and went into his ready room after a brief conversation with Dun.
"Park to bridge. Contact the Dallas and send then our new info, then set a course 234 mark 65 warp 5." Park closed the channel and sat back readressing his father, "Now how is mom, i have been so busy i havent seen her"
James smiled and before anyone else could respond he pressed several keys on the helm. "Course is laid in awaiting engage order Commander!"

Jon had worked for several hours more before he went to his Quarters to rest, The ship was heading for what he hopped would be his sister and the Dallas was right next to them as they headed to the planet.
Park had a plan and he hoped his friend on the Klingon ship had gotten everything ready. He knew they may need a fast break out of Klingon space. Park tapped a command and had they computer bring up a starchart of the Gotha sector where they were heading.
Six hours later
Jon Park awoke to a chime going off, It was a private communication from the Dallas. "Computer open channel." Park saw his Father in his office in main engineering of the Dallas. "Yes Commander." Lt.Commander Michael Park looked across the expanse of space and said " Captain i have been scanning that sector of space and it's quiet, a little too quiet."
Park knew just want his father meant, " When we drop out of warp i want our ships to go to yellow alert, Keep weapons off line but raise Shields." Park thought a few more moment's "We need to run full scans after we drop out of warp."
Jon got changed into a fresh uniform and then went to the bridge. "Helm eta till we reach the Dortha nebula." Park slid ingot his command chair.
The helm officer tapped his console. <Tag Cohan> Park smiled. "Commander Wolf when we drop out of warp go to yellow alert and raise Shields." Park looked around his bridge officers were Manning there stations, he was missing a few key positions but he had assistants making up for it. "Ensign Gordan, according to the Klingon empire the Dortha nebula is a class 5 correct." Gordan punched up the nebula on the science computer. "Yes captain it's a class 5 Nebula, with dense pockets of siriliam, ionized gasses and sensor blackout patches."
Park knew it would he hard for them to navigate the nebula but harder for the Dallas being an older class of ship and longer then the Nevada, "Ensign send all your data to Commander Park of the Dallas." Park then moved to his ready room "Mr.Dun you have the bridge."

"Aye, sir." Dun replied as he stood and took the center seat.
As the Nevada sailed through space, Dun took the time to catch up on some reports. With the exception of needing more crew, all departments reported up and ready.
It seemed like almost no time at all had really past before they were dropping out of warp and the yellow alert klaxons began flashing.
"Bridge to Captain Parks. Sir. We've arrived."
A few seconds later, the CO strolled onto the bridge.
"Report."
"We've reached the nebula, sir. Shields are up and weapon are ready." Dunowin answered as he vacated the command chair. "So what exactly are we looking for here, sir?"

Sharon was at tactical when the shipped dropped out of warp near the nebula. She had raised shields and took the ship to yellow alert as well. She ran scans of the nebula and was doing so when the Captain appeared out of the turbolift.
"Captain, i have run complete scans of the nebula, its bascially similiar to most nebula, traces of gases, dust particles and energy spikes all over the place. If we have to go inside, we will be blind and shields will not work."Sharon stated.
<Park>
Sharon heard the execs question but continued scanning narrowing the beams to see if anything was out there. Then she found a ion trail heading into the the nebula just off to their starboard.
"Captain, I have found a ion trail headed directly into the nebula, bearing 214 mark 5." Sharon stated.

"Confirmed," Seth said, utilising the Operations scanners that combined task-specific instruments from the Science and Tactical stations. "The ion trail leads starboard, then bends back in at 0.01 parsecs from our location."
Seth didn't know what to he thought about this. On the cover, it seemed a classic cat and mouse game between two old foes, with the nebula as the playground. But there was something deeper this time; added complexities to the mission that took the form of a missing relative of the Captain.
"Sir," Seth addressed Park directly, "I recommend we send a class 3 probe into the nebula. It will allow us to further map the ion trail's course before we dive in blind. It should also remain undetectable."
<tag Jon>
"Or we could use the Dallas," Ensign Gordon suggested from the science station.
Helacaan grinned. That probably wasn't an option; using one ship as bait, or perhaps even sacrifice if there was a hidden Klingon or otherwise ship out there. Especially as the Captain's father was aboard her; Seth could imagine how the CO would feel losing another of his family members while still in search for the first...
Seth looked down to the command arena to see what Park's response would be, but none was immediately forthcoming. The Wezean then decided to ask a different question. "What did Dorvin have to say, Captain. Do we know which planet your sister might've been taken to, and where it is?"
<tag Jon>

With Acting XO Dunowin on the bridge Hasak had been left second-in-command of engineering, under assistant Bob. It wasn't the first time he'd played the primary-assistant role in a department, and thus in matters of delegation of duty he knew his role reasonably well. And showed it.
"Check the fusion reactors, crewman. They'll need to have their output configuration modified for use in a class 5 nebula." The crewman nodded at Hasak and skipped over to the elevator to the upper level.
I can get used to this...Hasak thought. His breathing became a little tricky, so as per routine he opened up one of his methane-based injections that he needed to overcome the nitrogen-oxygen atmosphere. That was better.

As the Nevada and the Dallas pushed deeper into the nebula the instability caused by the pockets of ionised gas started to have a greater effect on the two ships. They wound their way through ponderously, the nimble Akira class Nevada having to move slower than it otherwise would so that the Dallas could keep up.
A gas pocket ignited on the Nevada's port side, shaking the ship momentarily; Seth had to stabilise himself against his console. The ion trail they were following was fading fast, and he was finding it extremely difficult constantly scanning and re-scanning the trail while simultaneously maintaining his calm with the exploding gas pockets.
He harrumphed in surprise as he studied the data the ship's sensors were receiving from the trail: despite the fact the overall ion signal was fading, all of the trail's constituent properties were still readable in full clarity. It was a good thing, considering the piece of information he'd just discovered.
"Captain Park, Commander Dunowin, you might not want to believe this.." he said.
Both officers turned to look at him expectedly.
"..But the ion trail belongs to a Federation starship. By the looks of it I'd say it's a fairly modern design."
"That can't be right," Ensign Gordon spoke up. "It wouldn't be a Starfleet vessel that..."
"No," Seth agreed. It was obvious to them all now. They were on the wrong trail. The Klingon ship had either been mistaken or had lied to them. Unless there was even more going on here than they thought, and the Federation were somehow more intimately involved.
Either way, this was out of their hands. All the bridge crew knew, they probably shouldn't go any further.

Captain Park thought about it a moment when the officer at the science station suggested to use the Dallas. "No the Dallas is going to be heading to another location soon. I think we have learned all we can." Park turned back to Dun. "Launch the Probe and send all the data to My ready room, Also have the Asymmetric team work on how a ship could have been destroyed in a Class 2 nebula."
Jon turned back to the veiwscreen,as Dun asked him. "What did Dorvin have to say, Captain. Do we know which planet your sister might been taken to, and where it is?"
Jon turned the look on his face said it all. "No he didn't what he said was that the ship that is destroyed in there was his only lead to my sister." Park turned "Set course for earth and signal the Dallas we are leaving."

It was twenty minutes before Seth could give the Captain an ID for the Starfleet vessel. It took much careful analysis of the vessel's residual ion trail. First he discovered that the trail had been laid just over two weeks ago, and from that he was able to deduce what class the ship belonged to.
"Saber class," he said at last, "Just an escort vessel, hardly capable of conducting its own large-scale operations. It might have been operating as part of a task force or exploratory group."
That was only half of it. He could study the ion trail even more intensively, conduct a piece by piece analytic scan of its spectrum (which would take several hours) in order to find the actual identity of the ship. Or he could take a quick look at a list of recent Starfleet operations, to look for a Saber class that'd recently been operating in the sector. Obviously he chose the latter.
There was nothing particularly clear about the list of recent operations; the only op which made any sense at all given the trail they'd detected was that of a starfleet intelligence operation - the kind that was for the most part transparent but was classified at higher levels. Well, at least it was something to report.
"The ship may well have been the USS Montevideo, sir, passing through this area over two weeks ago, as part of a Starfleet Intel operation."
<tag Park etc.>
Seth excused himself from the bridge for a while, now that the search had ended and as his nominal duty shift was about to end anyway. Ensign Hanks stepped into his place, nodding as Helacaan quietly issued him instructions.
The Ops chief headed for his quarters; he changed his tired uniform and grabbed a drink before heading out again, this time towards sickbay. Entering, he located the acting chief medical officer. He saw him leant against a biobed - all the beds were empty - tinkering with a hypospray and a rack of injection cartridges.
Seth approached the CMO, eyeing the dormant vital readouts on one of the biobeds, running his finger along the edge of it. "Doctor?"
The CMO turned sharply, and Seth was vaguely aware he'd caught the man off-guard. Nevertheless the Doctor grinned, laughing. Seth relaxed; he hadn't had much experience of this acting staff officer, but according to what he'd heard the man was one of the most easy-going officers in the fleet. "Lieutenant Helacaan. Sorry, you startled me." Seth watched him march briskly toward a specimen rack across the other side of sickbay. "What can I do for you Seth?"
Seth pursed his lips, maintaining decorum as he felt it necessary. "Just here for the monthly check on my past spinal injuries, Doctor." He paused. "Are you aware of them?"
"Oh.. Yes, yes," the CMO said. "The last few days I've been reading all the senior staff's medical records in detail, after my initial skim upon coming aboard." He picked up a medical tricorder, toying with it, before turning to Seth and heading back across the room towards him. The tricorder was lifted to Seth's chest. "Spinal injuries, and thoracic injuries as well, right?"
Allowing himself to slip back on to the biobed, Seth made a small sigh. "Yep."
