The El Sal docked with the other parts of the vessel. Samantha left engineering on the El Sal and headed to the transporter room. She was pleased the battle was over and she happy to be returning to the Victory. She knew that she and her engineering team would have a lot of repair work to do. She entered the transporter room and turned to the officer on duty there.
“Please beam me back to the Victory,” she requested and walked up onto the transporter pad and she turned to the ensign.
“Energize,” she ordered.
“Aye Sir,” he answered and started the transporter sequence and Samantha watched the transporter room fizzle away and the Victory transporter fizzle in. They both looked about the same. Sam stepped down and smiled to the ensign manning the room and walked out.
Sam made her way to engineering to find out what damage had been done to the ship and begin the repairs. She had spent the battle on one of the sections of El Sal. As she entered engineering she was swamped with officer. She was handed about 5 Pads and she tried to make her way though the officers with each of them shouting at her. She made her way to her officer and sat down in the chair and the other officers followed her in.
“One at a time,” she requested pointed to a Bajoran female to begin and she listened to the list of damaged systems and problems that the officers had. There seemed to be a lot of systems down and quite of bit work to be done which should keep her occupied for the next few days.

Agalacticae stared at viewscreen watching the debris of the Cube passing by in need for some time for the fact to settle in his mind that the danger was over. The first to react was Savot who ordered the stand down of the red alert. All of the ships were damaged to a rather large extend. They appeared like a flock of wolves beginning to lick their wounds, slowly regaining composure. Nothing unnecessary was said on the bridge, only short staccato orders were given out or received until they were ordered to dock with the alpha and beta section of the El Salvador.
Initiating the docking procedure the three parts of the Prometheus-class vessel started to move closer. The gamma and beta sections docked first, gently like a lover’s first kiss, waiting for the alpha section to fuse with them. The clasping noise of the docking clamps finalizing the fusion made them all feel whole again. Still, there would be plenty to do for the engineering team.
Releasing Lt. Parker and Salvali of their duties aboard the El Salvador and the rest of the crew heading for the El Sal’s main bridge Robert saw the chance to get a last word with his fellow officers.
Agalacticae: “Lt. Salvali, Lt. Parker, just a last remark”
They both stopped on their way to the transporter room, facing Agalacticae.
Agalacticae: “Just wanted to let you know that I am more than pleased with the way our mission on the planet went. Your combined effort to retrieve the data from the computer core might just be the very detail that will save Commodore Loskene’s life.”
Robert paused for a moment, troubled by the fact that Loskene’s fate still was unsure.
Agalacticae: “…and about your little black box Lt. Salvali…”
Robert smiled at the way Felix looked at him, unsure about how Agalacticae would finish his sentence.
Agalacticae: “…send me bunch of those, will you?”
They all started laughing and shook hands for a last time, heading back to their ships. Due to his little chat with the Lieutenants Robert arrived a bit later on the main bridge than the rest of the crew looking into Vreenak’s direction.
Agalacticae: “Captain, CNO Agalacticae reporting back to the main bridge!”

Mike was sitting on his bed in sickbay going over some padds when Aral walked in. “Hey Mike, how are you?” “I’m great, but I can’t convince the doctor to let me leave. Please, tell him anything, that you need me right away, that half the ship was blown of, that there are huge viruses all over the ship, anything! Just to get me out of here. I can’t lay here anymore.” “Well, I’m surprised that he allowed you to even work here.” said Aral looking at the padds that were lying next to Mike. On them was the data about his invention, the solution that the El Sal crew came up with and the data that was retrieved from the Borg for Comm. Loskene. “Actually, we made a small pact, doc and me. He let me work here, as long as I don’t try to run away.” “You have it good here, then.” “Not exactly. You see, I tried to escape one more time after he allowed me to work here so he decided to make sure that I don’t succeed.”, Mike said grabbing his leg and pushing it a bit. It swung completely lifeless. “Don’t tell me…” said Aral looking like he’ll burst into tears from laughter. “Exactly, he sedated my legs.” Aral started laughing and Mike joined him realizing how funny the whole situation is. “Anyway, as long as I have to sit here I might as well try to find a way to perfect my idea. Also, I overheard the doc saying something about fixing up that Commodores regeneration unit so I could prepare for that, too.” “How is the Comm.?” “From what I can see from here, he appears to be better by the minute.”, said Mike leaning to the side so he could see through the door into the other room where the Comm. was. Commodore Loskene was still attached to the machine that they got from the Borg, but his color was returning and he really looked healthier.

Magellan stood up from his bridge position on the Jefferson and straightened his uniform. "As fun as it has been gentlmen and women, I must get back to the Vic." A crewman stepped forward. "Its okay I can find my way" he made his way via the sickbay to look in on Loskene. The strange alien seemed better, although magellan was unsure exactly how he made that assumption knowing so little about even trill physiology let along Species 8472 phsyiology. Reassured however superficially he continued to the transporter room. With a shimmer he was back on board the nebula vessel and striding confidently through the ship back to the Bridge. The corridors seemed intact enough but worryingly a strong acrid stench of smoke belied that there was infact some significant damage in the ship somewhere. Walker met him with a proud grin and a firm handshake as he entered the bridge. "good to see you sir" "Likewise Jeff, bit of a close call. can you get me a damage report, oh and contact the other ships to form up, we'll head of to Assailant. I have some calls to make" Magellan headed in to his ready room and put through a report to Command. He explained the fight and the colony and request that a taskforce be despatched immediatly to go over the wreckage and examine the colony. Section Admiral Duke Nova came on then with his senior staff with new orders. Magellan listened intently and then switched off his console. The news was mixed and, he supposed a change would be good. In fact the more he thought about it the more he realised that this was a great move for him. He let his hand linger on the desk a moment as he stood up and then re entered the bridge. With a long look about him he took a seat in his chair and as he rubbed its arms, he gave the order. "Take us home"

"Of course Commander, good to have you back. If you'll set a course home? Best possible speed, although if you can give me more than thrusters I'll be happy."
The ship had taken a heavy beating, and the re-connection of the three ships hadn't helped matters, with some of the locks unoperational. Engineering teams were already working to get warp engines back, and to repair the most major damage in other areas of the ship. Sickbay was also full, with injuries ranging from minor to surgery-cases. A few officers returning from the cube had required surgery instantly to remove borg parts from early stages of assimilation.
Activity on the bridge was relatively low, with the senior crew all busy with reports and orders for other parts of the ship. A small engineering team was working to the side of the bridge, but the noise was almost non existent. Vreenak excused himself from the bridge, leaving Cmdr 1C Smith in command, and moved into his ready room to complete his report.

Hearing the reassuring voice of his CO Vreenak, Agalacticae took his place at the CONN. oO My place Oo Agalacticae thought to himself smiling. For the first time since his graduation from the academy the leather chair in front of the El Salvador’s bridge genuinely felt like “his place”.
Slowly he made his lady move - gently engaging the impulse engines, deciding to let her glide past the stars for a while until engineering would have fixed the warp engines. Seizing the peacefulness of the moment he decided to write an message designated for the Jefferson’s Chief Science Officer.
Att: Lt. Michael Pasek I am sorry I did not have a chance to meet the officer, whose idea has saved us all. Hopefully I’ll get the opportunity another time. I simply wanted to express my admiration for your inventiveness. Kind regards, Commander Agalacticae, CNO, USS El Salvador
After the message was sent, Robert received an incoming message from Kivan telling him that the warp engine was back online. Powering up the four sparkling warp nacelles of the vessel and plotting a course for Starbase Bellicose to pick up their CTSO Commander 1st Class Mathew Sheldon the Prometheus class starship “shot” away at warp 4. At least it was more than thrusters…
OFF: Thanks to the crew of the USS Victory and USS Jefferson for a great mission!

Loskene, still weakened, sat up with a padd. He began to write his thank you message to the crews of the Victory and El salvador.
"Dear crews of the El Salvador and the Victory, I wish to thank you all for helping me during this difficult time. Without you, I'd be lying in a casket right now... You all risked your lives to save me, and I shall not forget it. I hope we meet again."
-Commodore Loskene
Loskene gave the padd to an ensign and sat back in bed.

I agree with my esteemed colleagues. It was an honor and a priviledge to serve alongside both ships and crew. A special thanks to Lt's Parker and Savali for their assistance on the Gamma section of El Salvador. Your help was most valuable. Live long, and prosper.
