"Steer port steer port!" Firestorm cried as he jumped up from the command chair and roughly shoved the ensign at the helm aside. On the main viewscreen, the Russian space station Mir was looming and increasing in size rapidly. Proximity alerts were blaring, but Firestorm already knew there was no avoiding the human space station.
He covered his eyes with his paws as the Victory crashed headlong into the station. The Federation vessel sustained heavy damage, but the space station was completely destroyed. Firestorm removed his paws and oversaw the damage. The console bore his clawmarks as he'd been holding on tight before covering his eyes.
"Computer, end program," Firestorm sighed. He definately was not fit to command or steer a starship. Dejected he pounced back to the bridge and climbed back into the real command chair. "Status of the away team?" he asked nobody in particular. So far, they'd gone undetected despite the numerous objects in orbit around Earth, which they'd managed to avoid successfully so far.

After walking a few miles to try to find his friends, Kurzan sat down in a stack of hay at a small farm. He was very tired because he had been searching for them for hours. He was starting to think that they had been either killed or kidnapped. Kurzan sat for a few minutes, trying to figure out what to do next. He heard a loud noise from behind him.
"MOOOOOO"! cried a large cow.
Kurzan: Shoo! Shoo, you overgrown lactating vermin!
The owner of the cow came out of the barn.
Owner: Come on Nessy, we be going off to the market now. And what are ye doing, stranger? Ye be standing next to me pile of trash! Unless you want to help me carry it, get away from it!
Kurzan stood up when he heard mention of a market.
Kurzan: If I may ask, what is this market?
Owner: A market is a market is a market!
Kurzan: ......Very well.
Owner: They be sellin food and cloth! Could use some more cloth for me own back! Oh yes, and they be sellin a slave I hear as well! Could use one on the old farm. And I hear it's a woman, ahehe. Me neighbor tells me they found 'er up in thee forest, wearing strange cloths...
Kurzan: Strange clothes...
"I wonder if it could possibly be Ms. Savali..." Kurzan thought to himself.
Kurzan: I think I will also check out this market. I could also use some "clothes"
Owner: He he! I'll show you the way if you help me carry the pile of trash!
Kurzan: Hm. Very well.
Kurzan picked up the pile of trash and pretended to put it in his pocket but instead threw it aside.

"Sir sir!" young ensign Withers at science cried out, pointing at her console, "I've found something!"
Firestorm turned in the command chair, finding it very odd to be addressed at sir since he was a civillian scientist. "Yes?" he asked, as he walked over to the console.
"Life signs sir," she pointed out, "see? But they look very garbled, as if they don't belong in this time. I'm also reading an anomaly. And sir...see this? One of the life signs is very weak, as if the person is injured."
Firestorm nodded in agreement. "We must hurry then, what is the location of the anomaly?"
Withers fiddled with her console for a few seconds, then looked up at him bleakly. "The space station sir, that's the location of the anomaly."
Again, Firestorm nodded, his ears lying flat against his skull in anxiety. "Locate Commodore Walker and his party, and beam them directly aboard. We must hurry, for we don't know how long this anomaly lasts." He turned to the crewman at the helm. "Mr Patterson, set course for Mir. Transporterroom, send Commodore Walker straight up, emergency."
Just as Walker entered the bridge, Mir station could be seen on the main viewscreen, growing larger and larger as the Stafleet vessel sped towards it. Proximity alerts were blaring all across the bridge, deafening the crew as they tried to work. Firestorm quickly vacated the command chair and quickly informed the commanding officer of the situation.
"We must fly into the station," Firestorm insisted, "it is the anomaly that will take us to our missing crew sir. Trust me....."

Firestorm: We must fly into the station
Walker: Make it so.
(The navigation officer didn't hesitate to move the ship as it quickly sped towards the station. Suddenly all Walker could see was a bright white light as the ship shook. Walker held onto his seat to try to brace himself from falling forward. Suddenly the shaking stopped and the ship was back to normal aside for the alerts sounding on the bridge)
Walker: Report?
Johnson: Sir, we are no longer in 1999. We are in the year... 1191.
Walker: Very well. Scan the surface for the crew.
<TAG: Owen or Firestorm>
OFF: Apologies for not posting lately guys. Physical therapy on my knee has kept me very busy as of late. I'm hoping that will be the end of the gaps between posting.

Firestorm had been holding on tight to his console during the bumpy ride, after he'd found his way over to his own station. He pulled his claws from the console, smiling ruefully as he did so, and started scanning the planet's surface.
After several minutes, he looked up in confusion. "I don't understand," he mewed, "earlier I was picking up their signatures, whereas now they appear to be gone!" He looked around in frustration and pounded his console. "Stupid sensors," he muttered, as he began running a diagnostic on them.
"Ah!" he exclaimed several minutes later, "I am only picking up one of our crewmembers, El-Aurian signal. No Vulcan or human signature bearing a phase variance detectable at present. And sir...the El-Aurian signature is very weak...we must hurry."

Gareth woke up with a groan and opened his eyes. He could feel a cool wind on his face and realized that his sunglasses were gone. "One day,"[/i] he thought. "I'm goin' t' get my eyes fixed so I don' have t' keep losin' my sunglasses. Tha' or not care what people think when they see my eyes anymore."[/i] He looked around and saw he was chained to the wall and Sokath was still unconscious on the opposite wall. A few minutes later, Sokath woke up.
"Are ya ok sir?" asked Gareth.
Sokath nodded his head and he looked around. Sokath couldn't see anything and his eyes weren't adjusting too quickly. Just then, there was noise outside the door and there was a scraping sound as a key turned in a lock. Gareth was blinded momentarily when two men came in with a torch. They walked over and chained Gareth and Sokath's hand behind their backs and marched them off. They entered a large, open hall. They were forced onto their knees and a very thin but extremely muscular man came into the hall and stood in front of them.
"My name is Lord McNair," he said calmly. "You were trespassing on my lands and I want to know who you are, who sent you here, and what you were sent here to do."
Gareth kept his eyes on the floor and had to concentrate to make sure he knew where the man was as the openness of the hall created echoes that confused his sight. McNair walked over and grabbed Gareth by the throat and lifted him up. Gareth closed his eyes and found that he was taller than the man as his feet were still on the floor. McNair squeezed gently and Gareth forced himself to ignore the screaming of his body for air that would make him panic and struggle.
"Answer me!" he growled
Sokath answered. "We were not sent by anyone. We are travelers who became lost in the woods and we were trying to find our way back home."
McNair dropped Gareth and Gareth fell to the floor coughing. Gareth got himself back on his knees. McNair then went over to Sokath and kicked him in the side. Sokath rolled over and winced. McNair then focused on Sokath's ears. He knealt down and examined them.
"What are you?" he asked, his voice full of wariness and curiosity. "My bounty hunter told me that you were an elf but I didn't believe him. Now I see that his assessment was true."
He looked over at Gareth and approached him.
"Show me your eyes. Show me your eyes!" he demanded.
Gareth kept his eyes locked on the floor. McNair snarled into the air, pulled out a dirk, and put it to Sokath's throat.
"You will show me your eyes or your companion here dies," he said slowly and clearly.
Gareth looked up right into McNair's. McNair paled then smiled gleefully.
McNair's response was full of gloating and pride. "This WILL be an interesting fight. Bring them."
Gareth and Sokath were dragged to their feet and taken away.
__Elsewhere__ Tiffany had been captured, forced into scanty clothing, and chained to a wall. However, she was well fed and watered. Her captors did have one bad habit though, they kept trying to fondle her. She quickly broke them of that habit when she broke one guy's neck who had tried it. They were now considerably more careful of her and stayed away from her when she tried to use her abilities as a telepath to frighten them. She now only wished that she could free her hands so she could escape. The door opened and she was escorted to a large hall where she saw a large crowd assembling. She was chained to a pedastal on the stage and then an auctioneer began.
"We have here a foreign girl found in the forest roaming aimlessly. As you can see she is still young and quite voluptuous. I have been told that she is quite spirited but once that spirit is broken she will be the most peaceful of slaves."
Slave? thought Tiffany incredulously. That certainly explains certain things. But I need to get out of here. She started looking around for someone that could help her. She focused on a young man with a sword and started trying to convince him to let her free with her telepathic abilities. The man shook his head and then looked up and the spell was cast. He slowly started advancing as the auctioneer went on with his mantra. He unsheathed his sword and when he had reached the pedastal, he raised it and brought it down on the chain, breaking it. Tiffany bolted into the crowd and ran as far and fast as she could. She could hear people yelling, "Grab her! Don't let her get away!" She ducked into an alleyway and was looking around for a place to hide when she heard a voice ahead of her. She looked and saw Kurzan waiting there, motioning for her to come quickly. She ran and he pulled her into a house.
<tag: ANYONE> OFF: Remember people that I can only do so much. It is up to Firestorm to get those of us trapped in the Byzantine era out, since he's the science guy with the ability at the moment. So although I'm stealing one of Karynn's fav sayings please post, Post, POST

Gareth and Sokath were thrown to the floor and Gareth's face bounced off the tile floor. He rolled onto his side and McNair stood in front of them both.
"Would you like to know what you will be used for?" he asked mockingly.
Gareth's eyes bore into McNair's, who's smile fell and started to twitch. McNair thought, "His eyes are unnerving when looking at you with such fury." He shook it off and continued.
"You will be used as a form of entertainment we have here in our little town. It is like what the Romans did with their Colusseum where you will be fighting to the death for your lives. So basically, you will be gladiators fighting for our entertainment."
His smile had returned and he was now cirlcing around them both. Gareth spoke for the first time.
"What makes ya think we'd do this for ya?" snarled Gareth.
McNair turned and faced him.
"You don't have a choice," he said forcefully. "And since you seem so intent on defying me, you will fight first. Take him away!"
Gareth was dragged to his feet. His hands were still bound as he heard the roar of the crowd getting louder. He was then pushed into an arena and his vision went haywire.

Hearing Firestorm state that only Kurzan was on the planet Owen checked the sensor readings himself. It was true, there wasn't a trace of the other crew anywhere on the planet, and it seemed as if they hadn't been there anytime before. Getting the computer to search for the other times that anomalies had appeared in the sky and none of the times were during the period that Owen had determined in 1999, by all accounts the other crew should be in this time period.
"Sir, the other crew should be down on the planet and they should be here now. The only thing that I can suggest is that they have been pulled into an alternate dimension. As we were going through the anomaly the sensors picked up areas that were different to where we are now yet were still the same."

*Tiffani was tired and exhausted as she continued her fight to get free when she was succesful in using her manipulation to manipulate a young male in the crowd into freeing her as soon as he cut her from the chains she made a dart into the alleyways trying to escape from her captures she had been in the alley only a short time when she heard a family voice
<tag Kurzan>
*she ran toward the voice making sure not to leave any evidence of her whereabouts as she darted into the forest just as she hear voices running past the alleyway, she waited till the was gone then turned to Kurzan*
what are you doing here? where is rest of the crewmembers that came with us? *She was filled with questions and worried at same time her mind went back to her child, was she okay? had anyone bothered to check in on her. she was only interested in getting back to their timeline she turned once again to kurzan as she watched the last group run past*
We need to get out of here and find a safe hiding. I fear its not safe here for me and surely you if they find me with you. *She looked around and pointed toward the forest* we need to find someplace deep in there to hide for now*

Kurzan: Commander! Over here. I trust you are in good health? Well, better health then I'm in, anyway.
Kurzan checked his wound. It had stopped bleeding but it was most likely infected. He would need to be treated soon. El-Aurians have a good immune system, on their home planet anyway. Elsewhere, foreign germs could pose a threat.
Kurzan: I've been looking for the others. I have found no sign of Gareth and Sokath. Right now, the situation is dire. We have no technology, and I am unfamiliar with the area. However, you are a telepath. Have you any idea where Gareth and Sokath are?

(Walker sighed as he thought things over)
Walker: Alternate dimension.. Scan for any further anomalies in the area Firestorm.
Firestorm: Yes sir.
Walker: Set a course and engage helm.
(The Victory sped towards the anomaly. The bridge flashed as the ship was engulfed by the anomaly. The ship exited and the bridge crew regained their bearings)
Walker: Status report science?
Firestorm: Well sir I can safely say we're no longer in the same dimension. I'm picking up Kurzan and Commander Rylka on the sensors. Either something is preventing me from getting a lock on Sokath and Gareth or there of course is the possibility they're in a different dimension as well.
Walker: Would we risk any detection by beaming Kurzan and Tiffani up?
<TAG: Firestorm, Owen>
OFF: Sorry guys, I've had a tough time getting around to posting recently. I do have some good news though regarding crew. Obviously we have our new CNO who should begin posting next mission. A new FO will be coming aboard, and I'm expecting a CMO and CEO if all goes as planned.

Firestorm pondered on this for a moment. "I am not sure, sir," he finally answered in all honestly, "logically the people in the timeframe Mr Kurzan and Mrs Savali are trapped are not capable of any technology advanced enough to detect us. However, something brought them there, and possibly for a reason."
The Sivaoan scientist fell silent again. "On the other hand, I believe our current situation warrants the risk of beaming them up. I don't think that me beaming you and Mr Owens up in the 20th century risked anything. And if we were seen, we will most likely just be reported as another out of many UFO sightings. Sensibly, if we do anything like this here, it is either witchcraft, magic, or indeed just a mystery."
He scratched his ears in thought. "Basically, what I am trying to say is that we should beam them up as that is the only safe course of action.....for them. Any time they remain down there longer may taint the time-stream...but may also endanger their lives."

Walker: Agreed Firestorm. Beam up Commander Savali and Kurzan. Keep scanning for Sokath and Gareth. If you find them I will be leading an away team to the surface.
(Walker sat for a moment thinking to himself. He hated when the time line came into play. Every action they took could have repercussions)
Firestorm: Sir we have Kurzan and Tiffani.
Walker: Good, have them brought to sickbay immediately.
(Walker got up from his seat and headed to the turbolift)
Walker: Lieutenant Johnson, Firestorm. Keep scanning for Sokath and Gareth..
(Walker took the turbolift down to sickbay. On the way he noticed a very serious attitude among his crew. There was no laughing or taking a minute off. Everyone was intent on getting everyone back alive which made Walker proud to be CO of the ship. When Walker came to sickbay he entered in hopes that they were both unscathed. Walker did notice Kurzan had some blood on his uniform but Tiffani appeared to be in good health)
Walker: Is everything alright?
(Kurzan and Tiffani looked toward Walker)
Kurzan: Yes sir, just a stab wound. Not the first.
(Tiffani just nodded)
Walker: Where are Sokath and Gareth?

Gareth found he couldn't see anything clearly with all the people laughing and shouting around him. He heard an announcer start commentating and introducing the competitors.
"This man was found wandering in the forest and tried to kill a harmless young woman going to find a lamb that had wandered off and gotten lost. What is the punishment for such a crime?"
The entire audience yelled with one voice, "Death!"
Gareth felt his blood start to boil. They were lying about him, making him out to be a murderer of sorts. He didn't hear the charging man until too late and was knocked across the ring. He hit the wall and landed in a crouch on the ground. He now concentrated entirely on locating the man who had hit him and ignoring the roar of the crowd. He managed to locate a sword and he stood up. He maneuvered it around to test its weight and balance and found it was a half-gram heavy in the hilt. He wished he had his plasma sword but knew he could handle this just as easily. He heard footsteps thundering towards him and he stepped off to the side and took a stance. He brought his sword up and felt the blow that was meant to come down on his head just hit his sword and bounced off. He quickly started moving his sword and body around, remembering the samurai ideals that had been passed down to him by his ancestors, even after the samurai himself had become obsolete. His opponent kicked out and knocked Gareth off his feet and Gareth felt his anger flare but then remembered to keep his mind clear and calm. He leapt back up to his feet and quickly dodged a swing and then drove the sword into his opponent. The sword slid in and out and the man toppled to the ground, dead. The crowd roared in disbelief and amazement.
Sokath watched from the sidelines and felt that perhaps he should try his combadge. He tapped it gently and spoke loud enough for the ship to hear him but not loud enough to be heard by his captors.
"=Sokath to the Victory="
Riker jumped at the sound of his FO's voice coming through when he had just asked where he and Gareth could be.

(Walker put his finger up to signal everyone on the bridge to be quiet)
Walker: =^=Where are you Commander?=^=
Sokath: =^=It is very odd Commodore. We have been locked in a cell the past few days. So I am not certain exactly where we are.=^=
Walker: =^=Is Gareth with you?=^=
Sokath: =^=Gareth is being forced into a sword fight on a ring.. The culture seems very barbaric.=^=
Walker: Lieutenant Johnson can you get a trace on where he is?

Owen went to work immediately trying to find the source of the signal. The signal seemed to appear and disappear irregularly and it never seemed to come from the same place. It took 15 seconds to find the exact location as the signal was being bounced out of some caves.
"Sir, I have a lock. Attempting to beam them up now."
Gareth and Sokath appeared at the front of the bridge. They looked dishevelled and Gareth had a few bruises and cuts, but otherwise they appeared to be in good health.

(A wave of relief took over the Victory bridge crew as Sokath and Gareth appeared at the front of the bridge. Walker quickly made his way over to them. All in all they both looked in pretty good health aside for a few cuts)
Sokath: Sir, Kurzan and Tiffani are still down there somewhere.
Walker: It's alright Commander, they're in sickbay which is where you two should be going right about now.
(The two officers nodded in agreement and proceeded to sickbay)
Walker: Find that anomaly and get us out of here.
Firestorm: Anomaly spotted sir.
Walker: Engage.
(The Victory sped toward the anomaly and moments later they were in unfamiliar territory)
(Firestorm looked over his science console)
Firestorm: According to sensors we are in the correct time.
Walker: Thank you Mr. Firestorm. Helm set course for the nearest starbase and engage.
(30 minutes later Tiffani, Sokath, and Gareth entered the bridge. Walker was more than happy to have his bridge crew back intact. It seemed eerily empty for a while. Though not all the news was cheery at the moment. Shortly before entering the anomaly a message was received from Starbase 71. Sokath would be leaving the Victory when they arrive back at base. Sokath was the third first officer Walker had and he served aside Walker the longest of the three. It was sad news but good first officers don't usually last long and Walker knew that. Starfleet is always looking to post these officers for a ship command. An hour or so later the Victory arrived at Starbase 71 and the Victory docked)
Walker: Alright everyone, we're going to take a week of shore leave aboard Starbase 71. Obviously I advise you all to work during this time.. However I don't expect many to.
(Walker grinned as he recalled his early days serving as a chief tactical/security officer. Shore leaves were always his favorite times in those days. Now a shore leave just meant a bunch of paperwork and no action)
Walker: I'd also like to announce the departure of Commander Sokath. And I would like to thank him for all of his service to the Victory and for aiding me in the running of this ship. You were a superb first officer and the next ship you serve on will be a lucky one.
OFF: I thought it wise to wrap the plot up here and I thank Owen for advancing the plot on his most recent post as well. Nice work to everyone on this mission. Tiffani, Kurzan, and Gareth you guys did a terrific job creating plot twists on the surface even with Sokath having to leave us mid-mission. Owen and Firestorm you both did a great job on the same front and posting very consistently. Keep up the good work everyone.
