Q2 looked around the secondary bridge. His crew here had taken only minor injuries, and he felt that it wasn't necessary to beam any of them into sickbay. He swung the console away from his waist, and stood up.
"Well done people. We may not have finished them off yet, but we have certainly showed them that we are made of tough stuff. How are the repairs coming along?"
"They are well on there way Commander. 2 hours max."
"Thank you. Jabez did you hear that? We have 2 hours until we are back to full efficiency."
"2 hours aye. We have 3 hours over here, and Spiro has 2 also."
A couple of hours later, Vianto reported that the section was completely repaired.

"Sir, secondary and tertiary sections report repairs are complete. We're ahead of schedule, should only take ten more minutes."
"Thank you Peter, inform the other sections that once we're repaired we'll be re-integrating the ship, reinforcements should be here before long, I see no need to keep the ship seperated."
"Aye sir." The Trill officer worked his console to send the message to Spiro and Q2.
No sooner had he finished doing so than Krase reported an incoming transmission.
"On screen," Jabez ordered. The screen was filled with the image of a middle aged Bolian man.
"This is Captain Vaxx of the USS Majestic, we have the USS Renegade with us. What's the situation?"
"Two D'deridex class warbirds remain, somewhere in orbit of the planet. We will re-integrate once our repairs are complete. Commodore Nova is currently in sickbay, with a slight concussion, I am in temporary command," Jabez replied, while Krase confirmed the aproach of one Akira and one New Orleans class vessel.

Sitting back down into his command chair, Q2 prepared the section for reintegration. As he initialised the clamps, the console bleeped, and once more the Primary Section light flicked green. Both the lights underneath promptly turned green as Q2 and Spiro confirmed their readiness.
The three sections automatically started to reconnect, with minor corrections being implemented by Vianto. Two minutes after the start of the procedure, there was a slight clunk as they completed the integration. Jumping out of his seat, Q2 headed for the bridge to reacquiant himself with his Tactical Console. While he was running, his open channeled comm badge was blaring out the readiness of the three vessels. Prometheus, Akira and New Orleans, the three could surely take out a simple D'deridex or two.
Q2 was soon on the bridge, and quickly set up the tactical console to his own preferences. He was about to report his readiness when the captain entered the bridge. He seemed a bit groggy, but apparantly he had signed himself out of sickbay, as had Q2 only minutes earlier.
"Tactical console ready Commodore."

"Commodore on the bridge!" Peter announced from the helm.
"Sir, your ship, back in one piece," Jabez said, rising as Commodore Nova approached his chair.
"Thank you commander, what's the situation?"
"We've just re-integrated the ship, taken down all but two D'Deridex's. We believe they're somewhat damaged, after being caught in the explosion that took down the lead vessel. They're now on the other side of the planet, out of sensor view."
"Could they have cloaked?"
"No sir, one of them still doesn't have it's cloaking device online. Meanwhile, two Starfleet vessels have arrived, the Majestic and the Renegade."
"Thank you Mr Jabez, please transfer engineering control to the bridge and take your station. Peter, patch me through to the other ships, Captains Vaxx and Scott if I'm not mistaken?"
"Aye sir," he responded, and the screen quickly filled with the faces of a Bolian man and a human woman.
Meanwhile Jabez retreated the the rear of the bridge and transferred engineering control ready for the final attack. Just as he had completed the transfer, and checked on how things were downstairs, the captain was finalising tactics, and ordering forward the group.
The remaining warbirds were just emerging from behind the planet to be met with the sight of a Prometheus class leading an Akira and a New Orleans in a battle formation.

Cmdr Weill was furious, he was annoyed with the constant bad luck he had ben having. He ran along the darkened corridors to the turbolift and went straight to the bridge. " Ahhh, Commander are you feeling better" said Duke Nova " Yes thankyou sir, but a little embarrassed, sorry for my outburst" " Thats okay we now know the reasons, take your station" " Aye sir" The bridge was the usual dark redish colour and he remebered that it was normally light but he had got so used to the red alert demenour that he had forgotten what it was usually like. He was pleased to get back to his station and get down to work..........

Krase was in full swing. His Klingon body was filled with adrenaline, or the Klingon equivalent, needless to say the battle had him pumped. With the arrival of the two Starfleet vessels the whole crew on the Olympia were lifted. With renewed confidence the Olympia and the rest of the battle formation made their way around the planet. It was decided that the Olympia would remain as a single ship. This would maximise the hull integrity of the vessel. Meanwhile Jabez was working hard to restore what he could to the various structural and dampening fields around the ship but the damage was still quite severe.
The three ships planned to surprise the Romulans by circling the planets upper atmosphere. This would allow them to get very close to the Romulan vessels before they were detected. It was unknown if the Romulans had detected the arrival of the new federation vessels but the assumption was made that they had not so the three captains tried to gain any element of surprise that they could.
As the fed ships came around the planet they could see a damaged d’deridex warbird stationary, and leaking plasma from its main hull section. The Olympia continued towards the stricken bird of prey whilst the USS Renegade and the Majestic scanned for the other Romulan vessel. During the approach on the Romulan vessel the Olympia was sending out communication signals demanding that the Romulans stand down. There was no reply. Duke rose from his chair in the middle of the bridge and instructed Peter to take the ship in closer. He also instructed Krase to conduct scans to access the condition of the vessel. With only limited controls on the bridge Krase requested that he move down to main engineering. From there he would be able to conduct more powerful scans of the vessel.
Within a minute of reaching the engineering deck it was clear to Krase that the bird of prey was play-acting. In fact it had only minor damage to its shields. Krase determined that the other, more severely damaged vessel was hiding somewhere in the system and that they had hoped to trick the Olympia into closing in on the near 100% battle ready bird of prey, which was emitting false signals to confuse the federation sensors. The Romulans were indeed a sly and cunning race, and the Olympia had fallen right into their trap.
Before Krase could inform the bridge of his discovery the d’deridex turned and fired a full spread of disruptors and plasma torps. The ship was hit badly. The first few shots were aimed at the deflector array. The disruptors were having little affect but the plasma torpedoes made short work of the federation shields. With the hull exposed the disruptor blasts caused hull breaches right across the ship. Peter was quick to react and managed to turn the bridge away from the vessel, but in doing so he exposed the bottom of the Prometheus class vessel. Six high power shots rattled the ship. Holes were punched through the hull plating and at least 8 crew members were sucked into outer space. The shots also caused massive power spikes all over the ship. Returning fire the Olympia began to move away from the not so stricken Romulan vessel. Two more torpedoes hit the ship. The impacts caused Krase to be thrown from his seat across the floor in main engineering. At the same time the environmental controls on the ship cut out and all gravity was lost. This caused Krase to be thrown at high speed into the warp core structure. Due to the fire fight the computer had set up a high power containment field around the core. Hitting this headfirst the Klingon had over 50Kj (50 Kilojoules) of energy rush through him. He was killed instantly.
On the bridge the crew were climbing back into their chairs after the last impact when Duke requested a casualty report.
“15 dead, 20 injured” replied Gus
“Damage report” yelled duke
“we have…”
OOC: ok guys there you have it I am now dead, well ok not me, Krase is dead. Neway I have had a gd time serving with you and I wish you all the best in the future. Neone is more than welcome to continue from where I left off.
Cheers guys

The ship pulled to starboard to recover from the contious shocks, the bridge was alite in a few areas and damage was reigning and the casualties were mounting... "Damge report" yelled Duke " Sir we have multiple hull breaches, the warp systems are destabilising, life support lost on decks 4-6 and most other decks are losing power, Aft Shields down, all other shields are are at 30% and being repaired" " Oh Great, turn the ship to port and head directly to the bearest ship but keep our strongest shields to the hostile vessels" " Sir, i would suggest seperation" " Good idea but the last hit fused our systems on that system, " said jabez through the Comm

Just as Jabez's voice finished going through the intercom the ship jurked with unsual smoothness, " Report Mr Weill" " No damage to shields, no damage what so ever" " What caused it than" said Duke Nova " Run an indeplexal scan Mr Weill" said JP " Sir..... the shields were hit by a lowintensity field of Maridion particles" Duke Nova stood up and looked very worried, JP just looked up with a look of slight concern " Commander Burke join me in my ready room please" " Yes Sir" " Commander Weill, you have the bridge" The bridge continued its normal operations without any oddities, the ship jurked, the three Federation ships closed on the Romulan ships, the tied had turned but why were the two senior officers in the Ready room. The Lead Romulan ship was leaking plama and this was not a hoax, the federation ships battered it with torpedoes and phasers, Suddenley a volly of torpedoes came out of the Romulan ship and hit the Olympia before it could chnage its pitch. The torpedoes smashed into the tp of triangler forward postion, they hit the bridge and observation lounge, the shields were weak but held the bridge caught a light in many postions " Emergency Deck one, meical and fire" " Medical emergency Captain ready room" The voice of Duke nova came over the intercom and 3 officers went in from medical. They were tansported to sickbay " All hand brace yourselves, Q2 direct all weapons on the lead vessel" said Weill " Tell the Majestic and Renegade to attack the lead target" All ships pounced on the lead ship it was destroyed, the nest vessel attcaked the majestic, it fought valently and seriousley damaed the warbird the renegade make a cripiling blow on the Romulan cruiser it lost everything and the last Romulan cloacked and warped out. " Mr Jabez can you divert all attention to repairs and get us ready for warp" said Weill " Yes Gus, can you ask security for some staff, i have lost quite a few" " Get security to Jabez now" " Yes sir" " Now to the planet

Upon reaching engineering, Jabez found the warp core encased in a fluctuating containment field. Gravity had been restored, and a number of crewman were grouped near the core. Walking over he found them surrounding Krase's body.
Jabez ordered an emergency transport to sickbay, knowing full well he was already dead.
Several minutes later he had just about finished assigned repair duties to his crew when a call came through the comm system.
=/\=Senior staff meeting, conference lounge, now.=/\= Gus' voice led him to leave engineering at a jog, heading for the conference lounge.
Walking in, he found Gus, Spiro, Q2, Peter, Eilish and Dr Kheen sitting at the table. As he took his seat, the meeting began with status reports. Daya had evidently filled the staff in on Krase, and the fact that Duke and JP were unconscious. The other staff members filled in their reports, before Gus opened the discussion up to a plan. Obviously they needed to get back to starbase as soon as possible.
Eventually it was decided that they would get the warp drive back online and head home immediately, as the Majestic and Renegade were free to stay until no longer needed. In the meantime a small security contingent would be sent to help the forces from the other Starfleet vessels in clearing up the planet, and dealing with any Romulans that may still be down there.
"Right, meeting adjourned, thanks everyone. The only other thing is this maridion particle field. I'll get back to you all once I've talked to Kr...Baltar." Gus called an end to the meeting, almost making a poinient slip before correcting himself with the name of the science deputy.
Just as Jabez was reaching the turbolift to head back down to engineering, Peter made a notable announcement from the helm.
"Sir, the colony convoy is here."

Cmdr Weill was pleased his first meeting was over and he felt pleased at how it had gone but applalled by the death of Krase. He had only served in with 2 Kiligons and this was the only one who had tryed to kill him and than made good friends. He sat in the Conference room taking in the scene and than " The colony convoy is here" Weill turned in the chair and made his way striaght out of the door, he entered the bridge and everyone was looking at the viewscreen, he noticed the bridge looked empty the science station was unmanned " Balter, can you come to the bridge ASAP " Yes Sir on my way" Balter entered the bridge and the colony ship was slowley moving towared the Olympia " Commander Jabez can you get the warp drve up and running, i would like to get out f here as soon as possible" " Yes Sir" " Mr Balter can you find anything about that mannion field, if the Captain and first officer left the bridge at such a critcal time it must have been important" The colony ship moved very slowley and was in not hurry to reach them, the ship was just out of communication range, so Weill made his way to the ready room, he was going to find out what was going on " Q2 you have the bridge" " Sir may i ask where you are going" " I have got to find out about the Mannion field"

Cmdr Weill entered the office of the CO, it was dark soi he ordered lights, they didnt ome on so he when to the console and put them on manually. The office was dishoveled the chairs were on the floor and the various ornament of the Commodores. He placed the pieces back where he had known them to be,
"Gus, the colony vessel is in hailing range shall i hail it" " Yes Q2, i am afraid that i am going to be tied up in here" " Yes Sir"
Weill moved over to the console and it was on, the display showed some particles and the particles had a signature of a Romulan vessel, it wasnt but that is what it displayed. He decied to compare this to anything in the computers directory
<Command code requaired for this action> " Computer command code Weill 477 beta elman" < Recongized, there is one related phenomonman in the directory> " Computer put on screen" Weill looked at the console, it was an experiment the Federation had carried out decades ago to help in dangerous situation with the enermys of the Federation, they were to be a tederront to make it look like ships were somewhere when they werent, but the program was closed down due to concerns, it appears that the Romulans had tryed this technology as well but theses had markings on them of prototypes. According to records theses were made illegal by the federation due to there close relationship to the borg, they were nanos that were alot like the borgs, According t starlfeet regualtions theses are to be destroyed.
" Commander Weill to bridge" " Q2 Here " Commander lock phasers on a high intensity onto coordinates 112,270 and fire" yes sir The ship rocked and the ship reliesed from the field, Weill reentered the bridge and said " Well lets get this mission over with Hail the Colony Convoy"

Weill left the bridge his stomach felt much better he had been yearning for the end to this mission, it had been full, fighting and more fighting, true he had only been around in the shipboard bantering but it had been the first time he had been in command for so long and he felt better he had gained confience from the sucessful completion.
He entered the bridge, everyone looked tired, the bridge had been repaired and the panels were not longer sparking and everything looked much tidier.
" Peter, set course for Starbase Assailant Warp 7" " In a hurry sir" said a tired looking conn officer " Yes i want to go home and get out of here" " Yes sir, Starbase Assailant Warp 7, it should take about 11 hours"[/ " Good i want to see an end to this mission, i have never seen so much annoying factors, suficed to say it was the Romulans yet again" " Sir the warp drive is up and runnign and ready to get us as far from here as possible" " Thats what i like to hear, positive thinking, by all means ENGAGE"
The USS Olympia headed towards Starbase Assailant and Commander Weill had recived a message telling Commodore Duke Nova that he had been removed from command, due to his behavior and dedication he had been promoted directly to Vice Admiral and had of one of the largest department in this Section. Everything had gone well and they docked at the Starbase, all crew had been given shore leave and everyone left the ship and enjoyed the facilities at Starbase and Duke Nova left for the las time but he had to give his leaving ceremony which was an affair that was being looked upon with dread........

THUNK...THUNK...THUNK..
Jabez' every step echoed inside his suit, although making no audible intrusion to the vacuum around him. Pulling his magnetic boot up again, he continued along the outer hull of the Starbase, making his way over the top of the operations area, down to the main spacedoors.
Taking a walk outside was always something Jabez enjoyed, even when 'outside' was sheer space.
=/\=Jabez to starbase ops, can you open the spacedoors a little?=/\=
=/\=Aye commander, opening to travelpod levels=/\= came the reply. Just a few seconds later the massive doors opened to a fraction of their capacity, still plenty for a 10ft wide travelpod to get through.
The thunking began again as Jabez swung upside down at the top of the doorframe, deciding to walk up across the ceiling, rather than right down into the depths of the dry dock. He therefore began up the inside of the curved hull, just as one of those oh-so-common around here travelpods whooshed through underneath him, and headed for an excelsior class vessel docked to the left of the Olympia. Well, the left as he looked at it, upside down.
He'd been out for about three quaters of an hour, which had given him plenty of time to consider recent events, such as a new captain, the death of Krase. The passing of the great Klingon seemed to have gone almost unnoticed. They would launch off in order to hold a funeral within a couple of days.
By now the engineer was about a third of the way up the inner hull of the huge spacedock area, and directly above the figure of the Prometheus class vessel he usually called home. Crouching, he released the magnetic lock on his boots, and began to drift very slowly. Extending his legs, Jabez pushed off from the ceiling and floated down to the Olympia, somersaulting to adjust to the right way up, and adding a pike for good measure.
Gradually he reached the Olympia, and re-engaged his boots. Clanking once more along the familiar duranium - tritanium alloys that made up Federation hulls, he headed towards the top of the primary hull. That would involve a journey down the nacelle wing, along the stardrive section and up the neck of the vessel, as he had landed right next to a nacelle.
This in itself took several minutes, as a Prometheus class vessel was not the smallest around, however he eventually reached the peak of the vessel, and found himself standing on the transparent section of the roof that was a feature of all modern bridges.
Looking down, Jabez saw only Spiro on the bridge, and tapped on the hull until he got the security officer's attention. Spiro looked up and laughed before signalling that he would open up the nearest airlock. As he headed off for deck three, Jabez stood and headed left, in the vague direction of the airlock.

Q2 was stood by the airlock as it swung open and the Xenexian chief engineer clambered in. As the atmospheric pressure changed, he overrode the security lock, and swung the door open heavily, against the pressure. The resulting force would have sucked anything in the room with Q2 thorugh towards Jabez, but he had already stripped it of everything, and instead he was the only one to fly in.
He had tensed and prepared himself for it, but still the force applied was massive. He managed to raise his legs to a decent height before the main force of the pull, and the resulting flight looked like a magnificent flying jump kick...though he had cheated. He smashed into Jabez, pushing the pair of them into the airlock door, which the hit with a loud thud. Laughing, Q2 watched as the pressure gauge lowered rapidly as it figured out that there was more air around, and the room seemed to catch up a couple of seconds later, and the two officers slid down the door and hit the floor in a small heap.
"Why the heck d'ya do that?" Jabez demanded.
"I was bored..."

The ship had reached starbase and the new CO had made his presence felt and he ( Weill) was not sure what he was suposed to be doing, he had got a note from his brother who was very anoyed and he had been arguing with his boss the admiral at starbase 217. His brothers job was adache to Admiral Bandbourne, but the Admiral wasa going into retirement and they needed a new assisstant to the new Admiral with the immediate rank of Commodore and the Commodore who would be his brother wanted a new adache to the Admiral with the immediate rank of Captain. Weill made his way to the COs office but he stoipped in the commanders before he got there.
<Beep> " Come in please"
Weill moved in and he was very shaky but the FO was beaming
" Sir, may i have your advice" " Yes of course what can i do you for" " Well the gist of it is i have been offered the job of attache to an senior Admiral with the immediate rank of Captain" " Well, it sounds good i mean a very rapid promotion, but what do you want to be an office stick with the high rank or the out there officer who steadley makes up the ranks" " Well, i prefer the latter but i feel a slight aprehension at missing the opptunity" " Yes i know what you mean but i wish you the best which one you choose though is your decision"
Weill just sat and continued to think, he could not decide what he was going to do, but he had finsihed his days work so he went to the lounge to relax.

"I'll give you bored," Jabez muttered as Q2 scrambled to his feet, and made to leave. Reaching out his arm, Jabez pointed at Q2's thigh and a tense feeling ran down his arm. Before the tactical officer could get very far, a blue lightning-like shot flew from Jabez' finger and brought Q2 to a crashing fall.
"Agh! Dead leg...oohh!"
"Hehe, that's always useful. In-built stun gun," Jabez noted, climbing to his feet and walking off. It would be several minutes before Q2 could walk properly, he would only now be feeling his leg again.
"Damned accident, get back here! Q2 was referring to the accident back on Xenex in which Jabez gained the ability to make electrical discharges.
Several minutes later, Q2 was limping out of the airlock. Upon entering the corridor, he was met with the sight of Jabez, in full grey and white urban combats, and a face mask. He tossed over another set of combats, a mask and a weapon of some sort. He had a similar weapon by his side.
"Paintball gun."
"Excellent weapon recognition, Mr. Tactical Officer. You have two minutes to get ready, then I'm coming for you," Jabez said, before lifting his weapon and jogging off in the opposite direction.

Weill left the FOs office, but as soon as he had done that
< Commander Weill, Report to the Captains Ready Room>
Weill entered the room and he was a little curious, the captain was looking at a padd but with great intensity and a spark in his eye.
" Commander, do you know what this is"
" No Sir"
" Well it may just be the answer to your current delemma"
" What dilemma is that Sir"
" You not being able to decide where to go of course"
" Oh yes, well i ant to move up but not sure which route to take, active and slow or dull and fast"
" Well from Admiral Novas reports you seem to like the active carrer and that is why you have been offered the post of the Flagships itself, Admiral Aroks flagship the America needs a new FO active or what"
" Sounds great sir"
" Well whcih positon will you go for or do you need time"
" No Sir, i had a choice between Dull and Fast and Adventurous and slow but now i get active and steady, i will defineitely go for that one"
" Good Commander, meeting in the cnference lounge in 20 minuites"
" Yes Sir"
The New Fo left the Captain ready room and he was impressed with him, but he sat down and stated gettig ready to leave for the meeting but he gave away all his furniture he just wanted his min ornaments which he put in his hold all, he put it on the bed and left for conference lounge, he entered the loiunge and evryone clapped,
" Oh my god"
" Not that upset to see us Commander" said Q2
" No this is great"
The congrautlations fizzled out and everyone got down to buisness and Weill gave in his last report, he went to hsi quarters and collected his packing
He got to the transporter padd to go to the station to get a shuttle and he shook hands with eveyone except the Cousnellor she thrust her arms around him, he was sad to go
" Bye evryone, it has been the greatest of honours to serve with you all"
" Permission to leave the ship Captain"
" Permission Granted"
OFF: It realley had been an honour to be with you, i may make it sound like cattle but you have reared me into the post'er i am today, thanks guys and well done

After the transporter took Commander Weill off the Olympia, Soto turned to the Senior Staff who were all there waving Gus off.
"Well people let's get busy with those repairs. We are scheduled to leave the Starbase in two weeks and from what i've read in your reports, there's still quite a lot of work to do. If it's possible I also want to testrun the Olympia before new orders come through"
OFF: Congratulations on your promotion Commander Weill. I'm sure Admiral Arok will be pleased with his new FO (and if not, just give him a barrel of bloodwine ;D ).

Cmdr Q2 turned to Jabez. The party had prevented the paintball game, and now this order was delaying it further. He chucked his gun at the CEO who deftly caught it.
"Call it a draw yarrr?"
"A draw! A draw! I was soooo gonna beat ya!"
Q2 snorted. "Beat me. I'm the bleedin' Tactical officer. You didn't stand a chance. Anyway, you wanna hand with any repairs? I got no'in' to do with the weapons or shields, and have training in your field. So, you want any help?" It was true to...with the new mods the weapons were at 105% effiency from before, and the shields were back to normal operating parameters.

"You know where Engineering is, help yourself," Jabez replied, turning for a turbolift. "And I don't care if you're one of the horsemen of the Apocalypse, I would've kicked your butt!"
Before Q2 could reply, the turbolift doors had closed and Jabez had disappeared. Not willing to pass up the chance of an argument so easily, he overrode the lift from his console and called it back up, ready standing at the door by the time it had returned.
By the time the door got about half open, Q2 had paint all over his uniform, and would likely soon have several bruises on his stomach and chest. The doors slid close again as the tactical officer staggered backwards, thinking he shouldn't have given up his weapon.
Five minutes later, Jabez arrived in Engineering, deposited the guns and his combats in his office for future use, and found his deputy.
"How we doing?"
"Getting somewhere, about 30% done on repairs."
"Ok, I'm heading out to the nacelles, three of them need some work. After that I'll go down to work on the deflector array. Find a couple of free crewmen and send them after me," Jabez said, heading for the door. "Oh," he paused, and swivelled, "Q2 should be down here soon to help out. Make sure to treat him like a complete inferior," the chief engineer said, smiling.
"Aye sir!" Tomlin called out after him.

Meanwhile Soto was testing his bed in his quarters. He had just finished unpacking the last of his personal belongings and now he was lying down half asleep, half awake. As soon as the repairs and resupplying was complete the Olympia would be underway again. Soto hoped that there was time enough to do it though.... His contacts on the starbase had told him that the R&R-time might be cut short. But for now Soto was happy with some nappy-time.
