The purple and pink hues of the Bertreka Nebula provided a tranquil back drop and a serene vista from many of the viewports.
A number of small craft whizzed from the vast station down to the rapidly greening planet beneath it. Most were short range shuttles the rest cargo vessels. Elsewhere the GalaxyII class USS Galaxy sat in orbit of the planet an understatment of power and grace.
From one viewpoint on the station Magellan stood pensivly lost in the myriad thoughts he now had. Deep meditation had helped him suppress the growing jumble of thoughts and feelings he now experienced. He now knew that before Toya he had had 3 other hosts, one female and two male. There names and identities were still a blur but bit by bit pieces were coming to him. In particular he knew his 3rd host had been called Loran and she had been in the Trill Defense Force. She liked Lolu Juice and ran a kilometre every day. He was drawn from the internal machinations of his memory and mind by the comm. =^=Admiral. Captain Voran is here to see you. Hes waiting in Ops=^= =^= Thankyou Zoilip I ll be right up=^=
Elarus Voran stood in Ops surveying the bustling atmosphere as the Regulan Traffic Controller arranged docking orders and Zoilip, the Admirals Bolian aide, continued to monitor sensors. "Captain" Magellan greeted as he entered the nerve centre. "Admiral, good to see you again." "And you... How is the Galaxy?" "Fine. Shes a good ship." "Your first command is always the dearest" Magellan agreed, "Shall we..." he indicated for them to ascend the short stair and into his office. Once both were seated Magellan continued, "Your service record is exemplary. And your tenure in Starfleet gives you greater expereince than anyone. I know I didnt answer you back on trill, but I was somewhat overwhelmed. The answer however is yes - You do have a place here. I would like you to take over from Sandra Nelson as Strategic Ops Officer, she left starfleet last week to have her first child."
TAG Voran.
OOC:
For now I think the Diplomats should sim together, perhaps a getting to know each other session with Ji'Zhan the Debrune Delegate. Everyone else chip in where you can... I ll start moving the mission on ... soon LOL

Adislo had learned that the Admiral had arrived back on the Starbase, along with a good deal of his staff and the ambassadors. Adislo had made an appointment to see the doctor. The hour of her appointment had come, and Adislo walked quickly down to the medical office.
“Hello?” she said, entering. “Is Dr. Mercy in here, I have an appointment for my physical,” Adislo said.
<Tag Dr. Mercy>
“Thank you, yes, I can wait for a while,” Adislo answered, but she hoped it wouldn’t end up being too long.
<Tag Dr. Mercy>
Adislo saw an official-looking doctor coming up, to talk to her.
<Tag Dr. Mercy>
“Doctor, thank you,” she replied. “I’m Ambassador Adislo, I’m here for my physical,” she said. “I figured that I should get it out of the way with, so I don’t have to worry about it anymore.

Voran had told the Admiral's aide that he was here and was patiently awaiting Magellan's arrival. He surveyed the bustle of ops, he thought that he could be happy here...for a while. He knew that sooner or later, he'd be back commanding a ship, full time, but it was good to have a break every now and then.
Then, Magellan came over to Voran.
"Captain," said Magellan as he entered.
"Admiral," said Voran, "good to see you again."
"And you..." Magellan responded, "How is the Galaxy?"
"Fine." Said Voran, "She's a good ship."
"Your first command is always the dearest." Said Magellan. Voran frowned; the Admiral knew full well that the Galaxy was not his first command, but Voran figured that the Admiral had been under a lot of strain recently, and had probably not yet fully recovered from his expierences.
"Shall we?" Continued Magellan, indicating the steps to his office.
They entered and Lin sat down behind his desk. Voran took a seat in front of it.
"Your service record is exemplary. And your tenure in Starfleet gives you greater expereince than anyone. I know I didnt answer you back on trill, but I was somewhat overwhelmed. The answer however is yes - You do have a place here. I would like you to take over from Sandra Nelson as Strategic Ops Officer, she left starfleet last week to have her first child." Said Magellan.
"I accept." Said Voran, smiling.
Magellan extended his hand and Voran shook it.
"Well, if that's all, Admiral, I believe I have duties to attend to." said Voran and with another nod at Magellan, he left the office and assumed the strategic operations station.
He sat there in ops. He was curious to see how it would all work, to see who would come in. It was 0800 and he was curious to see how the busy starbase life would pan out.

=^=The Galaxy will be reaching Starbase Assailant within the hour, Starfleet Command has set up meetings with some personal on the ship. Those will be contacted shortly=^=
Ezdreiana had just been sitting in her guest quarters meditating. It always had a calming effect on her, but this time her problems seemed to be to much for her to handle. The direct threat to Trill was over, but there was much more work to be done. Yet when Ezdreiana transported back to her home, it was different. Everything was different, Trill somehow had stopped being her home and until she found it again she couldn't live there.
She had privately asked Admiral Lin and the Diplomatic Corp of Section 47 to accept her as Trill Ambassador to Section 47. It was accepted and she know was a hour away from the Starbase.
Her thought were once again interrupted when her computer console began beeping at her.
"I guess I have a couple of meetings don't I," Ezdreiana said to herself as she walked up to the console. She of course was right and knew that she would be going through many of these meetings in the following days.
"Computer confirm these meetings and contact the Starbase medical team and tell them that I would be vistiting them soon," Ezdreiana said as she began to pack up her things.
---------------------------
The rest of the trip had been uneventful and just like she had said, she had made her way to the starbase sickbay, which was a lot bigger than she could of imagined. She noticed that their was a Bolian women already there talking to the Ambassador, so Ezdreiana decided to wait until they finished.

Stuart had just entered the main entrance to the Asssailant's Infirmary when he observed a Bolian woman asking Nurse Tsomba about him.
“Hello? Is Dr. Mercy in here, I have an appointment for my physical.”
Jill Tsomba had just caught a glimpse of Stuart when he was walking to his office. Stuart gave her the one minute sign with an upstretched finger. Jill turned back towards the Bolian lady to pass on the unspoken message.
"If you don't mind waiting a moment, he shall be right with you."
Jill indicated that she could make herself comfortable in the waiting area.
“Thank you, yes, I can wait for a while."
Stuart entered his office, walked on over to his coat hanger that was standing all alone in one corner, and put on his medical overcoat. Before he walked back out, he decided to check for any messages, even though he had just checked them from his quarters a mere ten minutes ago.
Stuart was anxiously awaiting the return of T'Val. She had left yesterday for Qualinost with her now ex-husband, Tedak. It was for their official dissolvance of their bonding. The divorce had been on paper for quite a few days now, but this was one of those Vulcan religious traditions that needed to be done. ~ Or was it Romulan? ~ Stuart was not sure which.
He found what he was looking for. T'Val had just sent a message that she and D'Beren would be back on station within the hour. She would drop D'Beren off with the nanny, and then make her way to the infirmary for duty. Now that he was satisfied, he could begin his shift.
Upon leaving his office, Stuart walked directly over to the Bolian woman to introduce himself.
"Hello and welcome. I am Dr. Stuart Mercy. Tell me, what unfortunate circumstance brings you to me?"
Stuart always tried to be a bit jovial with his patients, as always, none ever relished being in a hospital.
“Doctor, thank you. I’m Ambassador Adislo, I’m here for my physical.” she said. “I figured that I should get it out of the way with, so I don’t have to worry about it anymore."
She had stood up while speaking and Stuart proceeded to slowly lead the way once he found out why she was here.
"Right you are, Ambassador. This way please if you will."
Stuart led her directly to a private room. Tapping his comm badge he called for Jill.
"Jill, would you please come and assist me? I'm in med room one."
Jill answered in the affirmative and was there within seconds. Stuart really didn't need her assitance, but with the Bolian being opposite in gender, it was good practice to have a female nurse around as a witness when it came to alleged improprieties. His other alternative would be to let T'Val perform the physical, but she was not here yet.
Jill handed Stuart a medical tricorder, which he turned on and set up for the procedure. In the mean time he wanted to calm his patient and get her mind onto other things.
"So, how long have you been on Starbase Assailant?"
<Adislo>
"I see. I suppose we'll be seeing quite a bit of you then."
<Adislo>
Stuart proceeded with his scan as he listened to her story of how she came to being here and why. It had kept her quite occupied as he was going through the various scans, looking over her vital signs, checking her blood, her circulatory system, her cardiovascular system, and her lungs and rythm of breathing while she talked. She seemed to be in good health.
"Well, as I have said before...welcome. I'm sure your services will be invaluable to us. Now, overall, your health appears to be in good order. I'll just have Nurse Tsomba here draw some blood from you for our lab to analyze. You are free to go as soon as she is done."
Stuart rose and gave his hand for a departing gesture as he was done with her.
<Adislo>
When Stuart left the exam room he was greeted by another patient to be, one that he did recognize.
"Ambassador Ezdreiana! How are you? I hope well, considering you found your way here to me"
<Ezdreiana>

ooc: just something I have to do now to bridge a little gap.....otherwise I'll never get around to it, and neither character could move on...It takes place before Jefferson's current mission, but after Diplomacy's veil.
ic:
Finally the time had come when Tedak and T'Val were able to meet up and officialize their divorce, even though the paperwork itself had already been dealt with. There was still one bridge they had to take before everything would be official. Times had been hectic for both of them, as Tedak would be leaving with the Jefferson soon, and T'Val would remain behind on Assaillant, with their son D'Beren.
The two had agreed that whoever stayed behind on Assaillant would take care of the boy, though either parent would always be free to visit him and take him on trips, away from the base. He was the son of the both of them, and neither would deny him the opportunity to be with the other parent. T'Val had not even demanded the sole care of the child, but had in fact demanded that Tedak take responsebility for his part in raising the child.
The Romulan had agreed that the child would get the best of both worlds, as both Romulan and Vulcan parent should raise him. Their parting had been peaceful and either knew they would always cherish one another, and would remain friends, even though they would no longer be married nor bonded.
T'Val stood before the great hall on Qualinost, dressed in traditional Vulcan attire, a veil covering her head, protecting her against the sandy winds that now blew over the city. She was nervous, and fidgeted with the sleeves of her dress, and found herself fearing the High Priestess that would break her bonding with Tedak.
The Vulcan knew Tedak would be equally nervous, as they had been through a lot together, and their bonding had been true and strong. She watched as the tall Romulan approached her, dressed in his formal robes as well. He had an apprehensive look on his face, and his eyes reflected her own fear. Since their bond had been strong, it might be possible that either would still retain an echo of the other, though T'Val had no knowledge of that ever happening. A Vulcan divorce was extremely rare, and T'Val knew of only one other occasion where a Vulcan male and female had their bond dissolved.
She nodded politely towards Tedak as he approached, but did not hold out her hand as she used to do when the two greeted one another. In complete silence, the two entered the great hall where High Priestess T'Lar was waiting for them.
"Thou hast chosen to dissolve thy bonding," the old matriarch spoke up, her voice somewhat disapproving. She had come to Qualinost, rather than Assaillant, even though it was evident she had rather not come at all. "Kneel before me and give me thy thoughts," she told the both of them.
T'Val and Tedak knelt before her in silence and allowed the old woman to touch their most private thoughts. The woman didn't speak, but either could feel her disapproving eyes on them, knowing that she disapproved of their personal reasons for breaking their bonding. Yet T'Lar found no reason to deny them their choice, and even found the regret both of them felt on having to do this, but also saw that there was no other choice than to dissolve the bond.
Slowly but gradually, both Tedak and T'Val felt their emotional attachement diminish, and felt the constant echo of the other's mind ebb away from their own minds, until there was only a very faint echo left, that would not trouble either of them in the least. The echo was what lingered of their mind-melds, a sign of their continued friendship. "It has been done," T'Lar announced, as both Vulcan and Romulan got back to their feet, "thee are no longer bonded."
"Thank you High Priestes T'Lar," T'Val spoke up, "you have done us a great service."
"One does not thank logic, child," T'Lar replied.
T'Val and Tedak looked at one another with a faint smile on their faces. "Now we can move on," Tedak said, "you have found new love and I wish you to be happy. I have found new love also."
"I wish you happiness with her," T'Val replied, "but please do not be a stranger to us."
"I will not," Tedak answered, "nor you to us. We shall always be connected, bonding or no bonding."
With that, both adults prepared to return to Assaillant, to move on with their lives. However before T'Val could leave, T'Lar called her back. "Healer T'Val, I would speak with thee."
T'Val turned, carefully masking her surprise, and walked back towards the old Vulcan woman. She wondered what the old priestess would wish to talk to her about. Within Vulcan society she wasn't really someone, her family had no ties with the ancient clans that could trace their ancestry straight back to the days of Surak.
"T'Val, thee has been troubled," T'Lar continued, after Tedak had left the building, feeling that the woman's ex-bondmate had no business knowing the content of this conversation. "Thee has been struggling with thy control, and thee hast almost killed thyself. Hast thou solved thy emotional trouble?"
T'Val nodded. "It has been resolved T'Lar," she answered, "though I still have trouble controlling my emotions. However, I have discovered that I am not fully Vulcan. It appears one of my ancestors was Debrune. I can feel the ties with the Debrune and my adoptive son has chosen me to be his guardian, has even made trouble to be able to stay with me. Though he is not of my blood, my bond with him is strong. Yet, knowing my ancestry, it has cost me the ability to keep my emotions under control at all times."
The Vulcan paused, looking away. "And my friendship with Doctor Mercy has not been helping that either."
T'Lar regarded the younger woman carefully. "Child, there is no shame in thine actions. Thy ancestry may not be all Vulcan, but thine upbringing is Vulcan. Do not forget thy upbringing, even though thee chooses a human for a partner. I can see he makes thee happy. If thee experiences further problems, please come see me. I can help thee."
T'Val blinked. "I do not wish assistance T'Lar, I am who I am, and I realise that now. I have caused both Tedak and Stuart great pain, and I regret that, but I cannot dwell on these thoughts and must move on. My wish is to be with Stuart, though Tedak and I will both continue the care for our son."
T'Lar nodded in approval. "Live long and prosper, T'Val," she finally spoke up, parting her fingers in the traditional Vulcan salute.
T'Val echoed the salute. "Peace and longlife T'Lar," she responded, then turned and left also.
Just as Mercy walked up to the Trill ambassador, T'Val serenely walked into sickbay, though any telepath could pick up on her happiness, though that happiness was mixed with just a tinge of sadness. She held her son D'Beren by his hand as she walked to the office, giving Mercy a small smile as she did so.
Earlier she had tried to bring D'Beren to his nanny, but the woman had reported in ill and wouldn't be able to care for the child. And with Tedak having had to report to the Jefferson, there was no-one left that she trusted with their son. In the end, she decided to take him to sickbay as she knew he'd be quiet when asked to do so.
"Stay here," she told the two-year old, then motioned for Yade to stay with him. The green firelizard chirped and settled on Mercy's desk, keeping her eyes on the boy at all times.
T'Val walked back into the infirmary. "Ambassador Ezdreiana," she greeted, as she walked up to her and Mercy, "welcome to Starbase Assaillant once more." She gave Mercy a quick kiss, then moved off to see to any other patients in sickbay, but not before walking up to Tsomba. "Miss Tsomba, are there any new developments that I need to be aware of?" she asked the chief nurse, then motioned to Mercy, "I would have asked Doctor Mercy, but he is occupied, and he does not need me to further distract him from his duties."
<Ezdreiana/Mercy/Tsomba>
T'Val nodded, then tapped her combadge. "Admiral Lin, please report to sickbay." She knew that the Trill admiral was probably growing tired of this, but with him having regained the memories of the previous hosts, the Vulcan healer, being his physician, wanted to keep an eye on him to be able to act immediately should the situation call for it. Certainly, a close tab needed to be kept on his isoboramine levels.

Magellan took the unusual step of ignoring T'Val. He felt well enough in himself and doubted that there was little the healer could do to help his inner self. That would take a great deal of personal time and perhaps the ministrations of Laurana. As it was he was due in a briefing, Loskene had just arrived and made himself comfortable on the long sofa in Magellans office. Also present was Captain Soral. Magellan supposed Voran should be present as well, but the El Aurian was new and still finding his feet. He would meet with him later and take him through it all fully. "So we are agreed that no action on our parts should be taken" Magellan asked in relation to Ji'zhans return with Jar'ron. "Whilst Elder Jak'dor was killed on this station and under our watch it is logical to leave Jar'rons trial to the Debrune. It would extricate us from any unpleasant extradition hearings or diplomatic crises." Loskene leaned in a moment, "My concern is not with trying Jar'ron but more about finding out who he worked with in the Romulan Camp" "Agreed. We know they had a lot of help from one or more factions and I doubt they will just roll over and allow Jar'ron to be prosecuted." Magellan agreed, "I want you to follow this up. Keep on their tails so to speak." "In what way" Loskene asked, "Go planetside, speak to Ji'Zhan make him realise Jar'ron is a significant intelligence asset. See if you cant find out just that kind of information" "And ensure it is done appropriately" Soral added inappropriatly.

"Excellent, then I sugg..." =^= Senior staff to Ops=^= Magellan and Loskene shot each other a worried glance and both rose and left the office. "Report" loskene requested as they descended the steps and went to the master Ops table. "We are recieving a distress call" F'rras purred "Where from?" "Tarion VI" "The mining Colony?" Magellan exclaimed, Tarion VI was one of 9 federation mining platforms on asteroids in teh Tarion Asteroid field. The platfroms were small, poorly staffed and even poorly armed. "Put it on screen." Loskene suggested "Aye Sir... theres a lot of static I ll try and clear it up." The main viewer winked into life revealing a grainy image. A figure possibly bolian or andorian could be seen. They were hunched over and leaning heavily towards teh screen. =^=..peat we are un...ttack...fou.....ive ship...no....config....ID..sh..lds fail..g...pleas..s.e.d..hel.........................=^= The screen went blank. "So, how long have you been on Starbase Assailant?"
“Three and a half days,” Adislo answered. “I intend to be here a while longer though,” she said.
"I see. I suppose we'll be seeing quite a bit of you then."
“Hopefully not,” Adislo said. “I don’t really mind being in sickbay, but I don’t much like getting sick or injured, although sometimes it seems inevitable.”
“Oh,” Adislo said, thinking of something. “I don’t know if you need to know it, but it might be helpful for you to know. I’m allergic to most Earth food. Not exactly the best thing for a diplomat,” she said, smiling, “But I can’t really change it.” she continued. “Much as it would be convenient.”
As the doctor finished, Adislo sat patiently for the blood test, then left sickbay. When she was done, Adislo stood outside sickbay waiting for the Trill ambassador to come out.
She waited a while, but at last saw her again. “I think I know you,” Adislo said. “I was an assistant ambassador on Trill for a while, I helped Ambassador Taneko in his work,” she said. Adislo hoped Ambassador Ezdreiana remembered, since she didn’t really want to be assuming that another would remember her when they didn’t, since that would be likely to make the ambassador feel uneasy.
Adislo had served on Trill for close to seven years, and she liked to think she had made at least a small impression on the people she had met.

Just as Ambassador Ezdriana wanted to reply to Stuart, T'Val appeared. "Ambassador Ezdreiana," she greeted, as she walked up to her and Mercy, "welcome to Starbase Assaillant once more." She gave Mercy a quick kiss, then moved off to see to any other patients in sickbay, but not before walking up to Tsomba. Stuart was overhearing their conversation. "Miss Tsomba, are there any new developments that I need to be aware of?" she asked the chief nurse, then motioned to Mercy, "I would have asked Doctor Mercy, but he is occupied, and he does not need me to further distract him from his duties."
She was right, that kiss had been enough to distract Stuart, and somehow he knew that she knew. It was a little game she was playing as she was smiling in his direction as she was making her statement. Stuart was glad to see her so happy, apparently due to her new found freedom. Now they could be together without shame and worry.
Getting back to Ambassador Ezdriana, Stuart noted that she was here for a physical as well. Leading her to a biobed as well, he went ahead and performed all of the necessary checks, along with drawing some blood for the lab. Within minutes they were done and she was allowed to leave.
<Ezdriana>
Stuart approached T'Val and was just about to speak when Admiral Lin's voice came in after the familiar chirps of their comm badges.
=/\= Lin to sickbay. Medical Emergency scramble a team to the Vanuisher this is a rescue mission - casualties unknown. Details on arrival. =/\=
Stuart and T'Val wasted no time in getting their needed equipment to supplement what was already on the ship they were taking. "T'Val, will D'Beren be okay? I mean the nanny, will she mind if he ends up staying with her longer if need be?" Stuart did not know that D'Beren was actually in his office as he had not seen him come in.

Jak’tel sat smugly aboard the ‘Raptor’. It was one of only 4 Debrune cruisers in the strike force the other vessels were 15 D’Deridex class Warbirds and 20 Valdore Class Warbirds. A flotilla of smaller craft buzzed about them mostly boarding craft and interceptors.
The fleet seemed to small to him personally but he didn’t want to appear foolish in front of his allies. Sela sat in a chair beside him her fingers steepled beneath her chin. Her blonde hair was streaked with grey and her eyes had the look of perpetual fatigue.
“Take us into the nebula,” she ordered. The Nebula would mask their approach until it would be too late for Assailant. This was to be a precision strike. Take down the shields with strike and fade attacks that kept the bases weapons occupied whilst landing craft boarded key areas. Fighter interference would be run by the interceptors. Sela doubted the Federation well known for their softness would anticipate such a direct and essentially suicidal attack. Besides she had other tricks up her sleeves, aside from the 4,000 Reman crack commandos waiting in the bowels of the ship.
This would be a great day for the Empire, and a great day for herself. She would at last establish herself as a key player in her own rights. Her own Starbase, a planet and powerful Debrune Allies. Once she was fully allied to the Debrune pathetic federation politics would stop them from intervening.

"T'Val, will D'Beren be okay? I mean the nanny, will she mind if he ends up staying with her longer if need be?"
"I fear the T'Shan will not be able to take care of D'Beren," T'Val replied, as she assisted her partner in packing a few emergency supplies. She motioned towards the CMO's office. "Right now he is in your office, watched by my firelizard. She makes a good caretaker, that green."
Her gaze locked with Mercy. "We will have to take him, unless Ji'Zhan wishes to take care of him. Yet, with his issue with Jar'ron, I do not believe it is safe to do so. No, we will have to take him." She looked away briefly to close her case, after checking that she had indeed packed everything she needed. "He will not be in the way," she promised, "he is a very quiet child, rarely causes any trouble. For a two-year old, he is extremely intelligent, he knows when to stay out of the way."
She slung the strap of the emergency case over her shoulder and marched towards the office. "Yade, get to the Vanquisher, tell Dinas we are on our way, if he is present. D'Beren, come we must go." She held out her hand towards the two year old, then swung him up into her arms. "Well, what are we waiting for?" she querried, then tapped her combadge. "Lily, two to beam directly to the Vanquisher." She added a quick string of authorization codes, as she knew Lily would require them.
Instantly, the starbase infirmary was exchanged for the Sabre class sickbay.

"Ambassador Ezdreiana! How are you? I hope well, considering you found your way here to me"
"Hello Doctor Mercy, its good to see you well," Ezdreiana said as she got closer to the human doctor. She had only met the man a couple days ago, but she was sure that the doctor was an honorable man.
"Of course I have come to sickbay need to take my physicals," Ezdreiana said happily. Her remark got the attention of a nurse working there. Who liked taking physicals the nurse must of been thinking.
"Ambassador Ezdreiana," she greeted, as she walked up to her and Mercy, "welcome to Starbase Assailant once more."
"It's good to see you once again T'Val," Ezdreiana said bowing a little showing respect to the Vulcan doctor. Ezdrei was very surprised when she saw the Vulcan kiss Doctor Mercy. She knew that Vulcans were very private people and this show of affection was something that didn't happen much. Ezdrei kept herself entertained watching the animal in sickbay chirp about. About five minutes later Doctor Mercy remembered that she was there.
"I knew something was going on between you two," Ezdrei said smiling," you make a nice couple." Doctor Mercy just smiled and continued on with the physical. After a few minutes of testing he was done and Ezdreiana made her way towards the exit.
“I think I know you,” Adislo said. “I was an assistant ambassador on Trill for a while, I helped Ambassador Taneko in his work.”
"Your Adislo right," Ezdreiana said remembering where she had met the Bolian," Taneko told me great things about you. It's a shame that I haven't been able to talk with him more often, but he is busy getting things patched up on Trill."

"Lin to Voran. Emergency Scramble the Vanquisher, rendezvous with the Galaxy. I'll send mission parameters to both conns. This is a recon rescue mission."
"On my way." Responded Voran, "Trouble Admiral?"
"An attack on a mining colony. The full details will be sent to the ship."
"Understood."
Voran made his way to the Vanquisher's airlock, within minutes he was on the bridge.
"Who's first officer here?" Voran asked to the bridge.
"That's me sir." Said a human in his late twenties, "Lieutenant Commander Jeff Hayes."
"Commander Hayes, we are doing an emergency crew recall and launch prep, I want to leave the base in 10 minutes." Said Voran
"Aye sir." replied Hayes. He then went to his station and tapped some controls, getting ready.
About ten minutes later, they were ready to go.
"Take us out. Set course to rendez-vous with the Galaxy." said Voran, then he walked over to commander Hayes. "Commander, when we reach the Galaxy, I will be transferring to that ship; her commanding officer has just left and as the man in command of this mission, I need to be on the tactically superior ship. You will command the Vanquisher."
"Aye sir."
Voran then tapped his combadge, "Voran to T'Val, I understand that your son is on board. I recommend that he transfers with me to the Galaxy when we rendez-vous as they have the proper facilities to deal with civillians. You are welcome to transfer yourself if you wish."
<T'Val>
"Understood." said Voran.
Five minutes later, they had met with the Galaxy and Voran had already transported over, leaving Hayes in command of the Vanquisher. He was on his way to the bridge. Even though the situation was an emergency, he was going to enjoy being in command of the Vanquisher again.
The turbolift doors opened and he stepped out onto the bridge.
"Captain on the bridge!" shouted Mel Tol, the Bolian first officer, he had been Voran's security officer when he had last commanded the Galaxy.
"As you were." said Voran, walking over to Tol.
"Mr Tol, are we ready to get underway?" asked Voran.
"Yes sir." replied Tol.
Voran sat down in his chair. It was exactly as he remembered, and it was a magical feeling. The bridge wasn't exactly the same but it was near enough.
"Signal the Vanquisher to follow us and engage at maximum warp." ordered Voran.
The ships sped into warp.

T'val was working with Stuart in getting the Vanquisher's sickbay tidied up and ready to receive casualties. Naturally, both hoped that it wouldn't be coming to this, but one couldn't be too prepared for it. She looked up when she suddenly heard a voice over her combadge.
"Voran to T'Val, I understand that your son is on board. I recommend that he transfers with me to the Galaxy when we rendez-vous as they have the proper facilities to deal with civillians. You are welcome to transfer yourself if you wish."
The Vulcan tapped her combadge in return. "Affirmative captain," she acknowledged, "I agree, my son will be safer on the Galaxy. However is the Galaxy in need of a healer?"
She didn't really want to transfer unless it was absolutely necessary. She wanted to spend some time with Mercy, as she knew they both would be extremely busy when they got to the nebula. Since coming back to Assaillant, they hadn't seen much of each other as T'Val and Tedak had gone down to Qualinost to get their marriage dissolved straight after the Jefferson had docked for shoreleave, and the Copenhagen also had docked after returning from Trill.
She exchanged a curious glance with her friend, while she waited for Voran to respond.

"However is the Galaxy in need of a healer?" asked T'Val.
"I'm sure they could use you, it doesn't really matter either way, I just thought you might like to be in the same place as your son." replied Voran.

"Your Adislo right," Ezdreiana said. "Taneko told me great things about you. It's a shame that I haven't been able to talk with him more often, but he is busy getting things patched up on Trill."
“Why, what happened on Trill?” Adislo asked.
<Tag Ezdreiana>
“Really?” Adislo asked. "That's rather disturbing, I had no idea that that sort of thing could happen..." she stumbled off, a little unsure what to say.
<Tag Ezdreiana>
Adislo and the Trill ambassador talked for a while longer, but not all that much, before Adislo turned to go. “I should be going, I have negotiations that I have to prepare for. I’m sure we’ll run into each other again,” Adislo said, and smiled. "I suppose an ambassador's work is never done, but I'm sure our work will bring us together again."

"I'm sure they could use you, it doesn't really matter either way, I just thought you might like to be in the same place as your son."
T'Val exchanged a look with Mercy; she didn't really want to leave him behind but as Starfleet officer, his place was here. She would go wherever she was needed, and it sounded like the Vanquisher could use her services. "Please stand by captain," she answered, then walked up to Mercy. "I am going to the Galaxy," she told him, "but I am coming back here every time I am going to be off duty, unless you want to come over to the other ship."
She smiled softly, then kissed him. "I am going to miss you," she said, then tapped her combadge again. "Please prepare for our arrival captain," she continued, "D'Beren and I shall be beaming over shortly." She turned back to Mercy. "I have to go now."
T'Val walked out of the Vanquisher's sickbay to collect her son from their quarters, as well as a few belongings, then headed to the transporter room. "Two to beam to the Galaxy," she informed the transporterchief. Seconds later, the Vanquisher's interior was exchanged for the interior of the Vanquisher. "Permission to come aboard?" she querried, after which the chief nodded.
She knew her first duty was to report in, so with her son in her arms, she walked out of the transporter room, towards the bridge. The chief would see to it that her belongings would be delivered to her assigned quarters. The turbolift ride took longer than expected, but at last she arrived on the Galaxy's bridge. "Healer T'Val reporting for duty captain," she announced. She suppressed a smile as D'Beren tried to echo her report-in, though it didn't quite come out the way he intended. It got them a few laughs from junior staff present on the bridge, but T'Val ignored them. D'Beren, however, giggled happily at the attention he was getting.

Magellan stood on Ops leaning over the master Operations Table. He didnt have time for this at the moment - He was due to meet with the new diplomatic staff in less than an hour in teh Fishtank. "Status?" Zoilip picked up a PaDD and joined him. "Captain Voran has transfered to teh Galaxy and is preparing to depart. Medical teams are aboard and..." He paused as a beeping caught his attention. "Its another one sir." "Another what?" "Distress call. Tarion III. They are reporting approaching ships on an attack pattern." "Do we have visual?" "No sir. Its voice only and heavily scrambled, I m picking up bits and pieces." "Bring it up and make sure the Galaxy is listening." Zoilip nodded and played the call.
=^=...elp...they are attackin....They deman......aptai...Jane..y... be... they call... the....... the...Va.d...ar.... will destroy us all...inless.....ane..ay is sent to their vess....=^=
"Thats all we got" Zoilip said, "What do you make of that Elarus?"
TAG Voran on the Galaxy
"I agree, Take it carefully, it could be a prelude to some kind of invasion or border extension, although who would want that bit of space. We'll continue to clear up the messages and relay any nformation. Good luck Captain."
TAG Voran
Magellan signed off and turned to Zoilip , "Keep an eye on things. Loskene is going planetside and I better meet the diplomats. Any developments - call me." "Aye Sir"
Magellan departed Ops for the 'Fishtank' to meet the Trill and Bolian Ambassadors.

Agran sat impasivly at the conn of the attack crusier. Before him out in space flames flared briefly as the atmosphere of the mining station burnt in the vacuum of space. He couldnt help but let a grin pass over his face. "I said leave it intact" a fierce voice berated. Cadrin stood in the centre of the bridge his cold reptilian eyes smoldering with anger. The thin flaps that ran up his neck and flanked the side of his face were spread wide menacingly. Agran flattened his in submission and hissed, ""It was an accident. We hit a plasma relay." "Bah. Accident or not thats two stations destroyed, one was only to be a warning. Set course for the next one. And this time ensure we take it intact. By now these Starfleet people know we are here and we need hostages." "Yes sir" Agran plotted a new course and took the small cluster of vessels towards the next mining station. "No bombardment this time. Just take down their shields and then we'll beam in. It has been a long time coming and were it not for that wrong turn we would never be here in the Alpha quadrant but we must take advantage of our discovery we must have revenge for what Janeway did to us even if I have to kill every living person I encounter" Cadrin growled.

“Why, what happened on Trill?” Adislo asked.
"Terroists infultrated the most sensitive areas of our government," Ezdrei said," in the process they almost finished off with the symbionts."
“Really?” Adislo asked."That's rather disturbing, I had no idea that that sort of thing could happen..."
"Niether did most of the population," Ezdreiana said saddened by the fact that her own people were oblivious to a major threat.
"Yes, I'm sure that we will work together sooner or later," Ezdreiana said smiling to her counterpart. After the two womem said their goodbyes Ezdreiana was left with her thoughts. It troubled her a bit to know that very few people knew about what happened on Trill, but it must be for the best. News that a prominent member of the Federation was almost brought to its knees by a lifeform that no one really knew about.
It truly didn't matter at the moment, she and everyone else had other things to worry about and in about ten minutes she would have to be attending a meeting with Admiral Lin. Yet their was a slight problem, Ezdreiana didn't know where this so called fishtank was located.
"Hello Ensign," Ezdreiana said stopping a random person in the cooridor," Can you tell me where the fishtank is, please?"
"Just take this way and then that way and then your there," the ensign said showing her some schematics of the base. Ezdreiana thanked him and hurried along, she didn't want to be late for this meeting.
Luckily for her it didn't take a long time to get to her destination and even better only a few people where there.

T'Val had gone ahead with D'Beren to board the Galaxy and help out there as a medical officer. After making sure that the Vanquisher sickbay was ready and supplied for any upcoming casualties, Stuart checked with Commander Hayes to inform him of his posting.
"Commander Hayes, I have ensured that your sickbay is ready for any emergency contingencies that may arise. Although you do not have a chief medical officer, you do have a very capable lieutenant that is a medical officer onboard. I do not wish to usurp his authority, and think it wise to let him spread his wings, if you will. So with that said, I shall go ahead and beam over to the Galaxy. I'm only a transporter pad away if you need me."
"Thank you doctor. The Galaxy will more than likely be receiving most of the patients anyways, but I know where to call for you if need be."
With a 'Good Bye', Stuart went back to sickbay only to retrieve his belongings, both personal and professional. On his way to the transporter room, he had already called for T'Val to inform her that he would be joining her onboard the Galaxy. She sounded delighted as he knew she would be. Now standing on the transporter pad, the all too familiar blue shimmer enveloped him, only to disappear and reveal the Galaxy's transporter room.
The transporter chief welcomed him and gave Stuart directions to his questioning of where his quarters might be. A turbolift ride later and a few left and right turns amongst various corridors, Stuart arrived at his destination. As the door hadn't been programmed for him yet, he had to allow for his announcement within. The door was allowed to open, only to reveal a more than excited Vulcan jumping into his arms.
"Whoa...it's only been a few minutes since you left me." Stuart kissed her in greeting which she turned into more, not allowing him to put any of his belongings down.
A little voice chimed in from the background. "She is happy you are here, as am I." It was D'Beren standing in the other doorway with a large smile on his face. Stuart hadn't really had much time to interact with him yet, he wasn't sure how he should as he was still being cared for by both of his adoptive parents.
T'Val let go her embrace, upon hearing his voice, to turn and look at D'Beren with her own huge smile. Stuart took this opportunity with D'Beren. "Come here." D'Beren came on over without one iota of shyness and let Stuart pick him up. "I am glad to hear that you are happy for my being here. That makes me happy also. Your mother makes me very happy as well. That is why I am here afterall."

The boy's smile widened in response. "I know," he replied, then squirmed to get out of the doctor's grasp. He ran up to his mother, who lifted him in return. "You make her happy too," he continued.
T'Val frowned ever so slightly, concerned about her son's telepathic abilities. It was already evident that he would exceed her own abilities when he would grow older. Carefully, she set him down again. "I believe you were going to unpack," she suggested to him."
"but...." Then it dawned on him; his mother wanted to be alone. "Of course mother," he replied dutifully, before running back into his bedroom.
T'Val turned back to Mercy. "Sometimes, he amazes me," she said, then smiled once more, "and you never cease to amaze me either. Come, we must put your belongings away and then report to Captain Voran. We should go by the book. After we reported perhaps we can explore this ship; I have never been aboard a Galaxy class vessel before."
She moved to pick up one of his bags and went to toss it on the bed. "I wonder how long it will take to reach the nebula, and before we will be too busy to spend time together," she continued, as she leaned against the doorpost.

Adislo went back to her quarters and prepared briefly for the negotiations, before she was on her way to the Fishtank.
She arrived at the Fishtank easily enough, and looked around for Admiral Lin, as he was the only one she was sure was going to be there. Adislo spotted him and joined the group. “Ambassador,” she greeted, with a nod, to the Trill ambassador.
Adislo realized that she had been the last person to arrive for the meeting, and smiles a little. “I apologize for the delay,” she said.

"Ah good evening" Magellan greeted, extending a hand "You must be the new Bolian Ambassador, Have you met Ambassador Ezedriana?"
TAG Adislo
"Excellent. Well I am Admiral Magellan the Base and Fleet Commander. I am afraid I must apologise for the rest of my senior staff. Life on Assailant keeps us fairly busy"
TAG Anyone
"Well Captain Voran is investigating a distress call from our mining outposts in the nebula and Admiral Loskene is going down to Qualinost to speak with the Debrune Elders. Have you been briefed on the current situation?"
TAG
"Ah well let me briefly give you a summary. 2 years ago the ancient offshoot of the Debrune reappeared when we discovered an abandoned underground city on Qualinost. There population was small and vulnerable and we allowed them to resettle this planet. Whilst not one of their core worlds it held a deep religous significance. Since then we have finished terraforming the planet and have started colonisation"
TAG
"Its true there are some upheavals, to start with Starfleet had planned to house Tekaran refugees here, lukcily the Debrune agreed to share the planet with them, but lately politics has reared its ugly head. Some of the Debrune want to Ally with certain Romulan Factions rather than the Federation. Its created a schism in them - a sort of Cold Civil War. A key elder was assisinated a few months ago but we belive the perpetrator has handed himself in so hopefully the whole situation will be resolved." Magellan was interrupted by a soft female voice over the comm line. =^=Admiral Magellan the Galaxy and Vanquisher will be reaching the mining outpost in 30 minuts=^= =^=Thankyou Lily, keep me posted=^=
Ezedriana lifted an eyebrow, "Lily? That sounded like a computer" "Ah yes..." Magellan grinned "Yet another adventure" he laughed, "Lily is a sentient computer programme, she was created by accident by an energy discharge and the nebula. She appeared initally in Corporeal form, but her presecne was both a threat to the station and herself..." He paused "It was a tough decision but in the end I had to request she be terminated lest her uncontrollable powers destroyed teh station - luckily we found away from detaching her from the fragile form and downloading her into the computer. She seems to like it here and is much more accessible than standard Starfleet Computer systems. Even if she did once try and kill us all...But thats a story for another day"
