"I see", Saarok said, "And you are sure that this memory wipe was not done by one of my enemies and the new director only used it to his advantage? Or should I say rather then assist me in recovering it decided to seize the chance and take over in the full extent without being disturbed by my influence as I was as good as dead?", he asked
"Anything is possible, The Director is one for tieing up loose ends, but he is also soft. I believe its one of your enemies."
"Interesting, is there anyway I could recover my lost memory? Did I leave an imprint an echo of it somewhere just in case something like this occurred? It would seem logical from your description of the person I use to be that I would have taken precautions in case something like this was to occur.", he asked
"Now theres a good idea. You always told me you had a secret information dump. But you never told me where it was. Perhaps we could locate it."
"Well if i am to get out of this, the only logical way for me to do so is to recover my memory, if i do so they would most likely loose their advantage of an unsuspecting target. Perhaps i might even know who is after me if i could remember.", he said
"Then I suggest we try and locate your safe house. I doubt its on Assailant but perhaps you left clues somewhere - personal files - documents." V'Shal stopped a moment and then looked coyly up, "Its... pleasing to work with you again."
"I wish I could say the same thing however I do not remember how it was last time. This is not going to be an easy assignment. As I do not remember what I was like I do not know where I could have hidden the clues. We require a ... starting point.", he said, "And I think I might know who could help me", he resumed, "I ... need to check something, and if you intend to come along attempt not to be so... violent like in your last encounter with ambassador Tedak", he said as the two of them left the hotel and went to see no one else but ambassador Tedak again
Saarok knew this was not the most logical thing to do and that they could have another clash, but if anyone could help him with finding a clue or a starting point, it was Tedak.

***Stuart/Tedak And The Search For The Cure.***
Tedak hadn't realized that beaming down to the surface required a medical check-up afterwards. Nonetheless it wouldn't do to alienate the doctor, even though it seemed as if he already had quite enough to do. "I will come by tomorrow. Oh and doctor?" he said, just before leaving sickbay, "I have medical training, if you need another pair of hands to help out, let me know would you?"
"Now that you mention it, your help would be greatly appreciated, especially if you have some knowledge in DNA resequencing. This will help with us trying to come up with finding a cure by possibly altering some of our known antiviruses. So whenever you find some free time, feel free to come by."
Tedak accepted the offer and would let Dr. Mercy know when he would be available.
***Magellan/Stuart And The Multiple Hosts.***
"Before you leave, Admiral, how are you coping with your symbiont and your knowledge of multiple hosts?"
Magellan paused, "Its hard to explain. Its all still so unreal. I ve had some information though. The Symbiosis Commission have acknowedged that Lin did have other hosts. Its just they can't tell me who. All their records were lost in riots. Normally a host/symbiont knows instantly their entire past but with me - well its never been so simple. I find it very disconcerting. I get flashes of memory, but nothing concrete. Although there is something - Saarok met an alternate version of me, he knew all his hosts. He may I guess know more. Do you have anymore ideas on how to help?"
"I have to admit, I have very limited knowledge about Trill society and their physiology. Not to mention the phsycological aspect of it. Maybe it would help if I had a talk with Ambassador Saarok about your alternate self. He might have some insights that he doesn't realize without direct questions. It might help if Dr. Kahn was available for this also."
Admiral Lin agreed. He promised that he would inform Dr. Kahn, and Stuart could then make arrangements for her to meet with him and AMB Saarok.

Tedak had just barely stepped back in to his own quarters and was on his way to his sleeping quarters when suddenly the chime went off. "Figures," he muttered as he pulled his robe back on. It wouldn't do to greet a guest, no matter what the hour of the day, while half dressed.
"Come," he called, then frowned as he saw Saarok and V'Shal enter again. "You haven't come to blow gas in my face again have you?" Tedak enquired, raising an eyebrow at Saarok.
"Ambassador, what can I do for you?" he asked, turning to the Vulcan diplomat, "I do hope you realize what time it is?" He stiffled a yawn, and struggled to keep his robe into place. "You will excuse my appearance, I was just about to retire for the night."

"No one came here to start another... disagreement. I apologize for the late visit Ambassador"; Saarok said, "But this is rather important", he resumed, "V'Shal and I have reached a conclusion that I have some sort of a safe house where I stored an echo of myself and which contains my lost memory.", he resumed
"I see, go on", Tedak said
"Now seeing i do not remember where that place is we believe I left clues for myself somewhere around this base which would lead me to it if something like this occurs.", he resumed
"However this memory loss might have been more than what I have expected it and therefore I do not know myself well enough to know where I hid the first clue or a start point if you wish.", he resumed, "And there is no one else on this base who knew me and still knows me well enough to be able to help me to uncover the first clue or a possible place where I could have hidden it", he finished

Tedak frowned, while beckoning Nut to keep an eye on the Vulcan woman. "And you believe that I may know where you have stored ah...something of yourself?" he asked, starting to feel increasingly uncomfortable.
He didn't even try to stiffle the next yawn as he leaned back on his couch, beckoning his two guests to sit down. "I don't know Saarok," he continued, "you were never very talkative before you were attacked, and you certainly didn't disclose anything about your personal life. It's that you mindmelded with me once to save my life or I wouldn't even have know you were married and had a son!"
This seemed to puzzle his friend even more. "Doctor Salek," Tedak continued, receiving a nod from V'Shal, "would he not be the logical choice to ask? I've done some checking and he seems to have an equally shady past. Perhaps he can assist us?"

V'Shal regarded Tedak a moment, "That may not be a bad idea. Although I m surprised you never told me you had a son." Saarok seemed to squirm a little, "Then you are nt his mother." "No" V'Shal replied, "Not that its any of your business. But Saarok and I bonded as a matter of Pon Farr rather than family betrothal and our union bore no fruit." Her voice seemed oddly sad, she appeared moved by what she said." "So where does this leaves us?" "Perhaps Salek has a copy of his memory?"
"It is illogical to ask me that, seeing I do not remember what I did with it. But going after the logic of my previous actions i doubt I would have risked with such an obvious choice like leave it with my son.", Saarok replied
"Well that puts us back at square one" Tedak commented, "We need to think where Saarok may have felt secure enough to leave such a valuable item." "Well on Romulus our home is our castle. The family is all important." Saarok nodded, "Home always feels like a sanctuary. It is logical I would have a safe place at home in which to retreat." "Then it would be logical to serach there first." V'Shal noted, "Then it looks as if we're going to Vulcan." "Indeed" Saarok replied warily, "We must book passage immediatly" V'Shal responded, "I think I say a Vulcan Ship arriving, perhaps we can book passage or find out when the next transport is."

Brik sat on his bed hunched over tray of all manner of items. He pored carefully over each component using the eye piece attached to his eye by way of a flexible cord and a head band. He held a small screw driver and methodically replaced each part in meticoulous detail. Each part lovingly and tenderly placed in the best location and fixed well. He sniffed and reached for some more hyperian beetle snuff he took a deep snort and giggled as it tantalised his nasal passages. Sometimes it was good to be alive. Replacing the last cover he leaned back, stretching his aching back as he did so to regard his handy work. "Excellent" he giggled in satisfaction. He got up, unfolding his short legs and scampering across to a bag. He rummaged through removing tooth sharpner, book, massage oil and can of tube grubs before finding the small bronze PaDD and extracting it. he returned to the bed and activated the PaDD. He pulled out a wire and linked the devices. then carefully he downloaded the software, and the rest of the programming. finally he clicked a button, the image of a Vulcan - of perhaps 90, a little over 6 feet and dressed in a simple grey robe. Finished he snapped off the PaDD and picked up the device, opening a ventilation vent he set down the hunter killer drone and set it on its way. He giggled in anticipation of the prospective latinum - sometimes it was a joy being an exterminator.

Saarok took a moment to think. Vulcan, he did not remember ever being there, but that suggestion is as good as any other could be considering he isn't likely to remember where he left a copy of his memory nor how recent it is.
"Indeed, it would appear the only logical choice, we shall proceed to Vulcan", he said, "Perhaps, Ambassador Tedak can arrange us transport, it would be less likely for those who want me dead to find me on a ships whose crew is not Vulcan"; he suggested

"I agree with you...", he started when there was a sound and a red laser beam flew from the wall missing Saarok for only a few inches and burning through the opposite wall

"We can take my shuttle," Tedak suggested, "It has a cloaking device and it bears a diplomatic registry number that is assigned to me. Any diplomatic envoy will always gain presedence in docking." He flinched as Saarok was only just barely missed by a read beam that blast into the wall of his quarters.
"Perfect," Tedak scowled, "V'Shal, take your bondmate to my shuttle craft." He gave a quick description of what his shuttlecraft look liked. When another blast nearly missed him, he scowled again. "No wait. Lily, beam Ambassador Saarok and Lady V'Shal directly to my shuttle, and erase the transporter logs. It's an emergency, I promise I'll explain everything later."
"Yes Teeedak," Lily responded, and the two Vulcans dissolved in a blue shimmer.
While the Vulcans were beamed away, Tedak dashed into the child's bedroom. "Lily. Drew's quarters, quick!" A few seconds later, he stood, still semi dressed, in front of the Drew quarters. A girl opened the door, looking at him through sleepy eyes.
"Tammy, please look after D'Beren. I've an emergency situation to deal with, it involves Ambassador Saarok. I've no time to explain, but Lily witnessed everything. Ask your father to talk to Lily. Meanwhile if you need anything have your father get it from my quarters using his personal override. Got it?"
<Tammy Drew>
Tedak nodded. "Thank you. Lily, my shuttle, quick, then open the bay doors for emergency departure." A few seconds later, he materialized in his shuttlecraft. "Setting course for Vulcan, cloak engaged, maximum warp."

Tammy looked up in shock at the man before her, she recognised him as that Romulan Ambassador she had had to meet at those boring ‘parties’ her father had made her attend. Simon had told her the Romulan had a bit of a shady past with a habit of getting himself into trouble, and she knew her father had arrested him just a few weeks ago. Now the Ambassador appeared un-nerved, apparently having beamed here! And he was asking Tammy to look after his child! Before Tammy could even really respond, the Romulan had already forced the child into her arms, and was busy giving instructions. Tammy just had chance to say “ok” before the Romulan gave some orders to the computer, and disappeared into another beam of light.
“Tammy Drew to Admiral Drew,” she said nervously walking back into the quarters with the infant, “Dad, I have a problem…”
On Ops…
Joanna Drew barely had chance to register what was going on, one minute her husband was talking with a Vulcan Captain on the viewscreen, the next thing red alert alarms were sounding, and everyone was busy shouting out reports to her husband, who was busy shouting back at everyone else.
She heard Sandra call out that there had been an explosion, then unauthorised transports, and now an unauthorised shuttle launch. F’rras was yelling about a ship warping out of the system, apparently just avoiding crashing into two Paklad transports. Now Admiral Lin’s voice was over the comm system, demanding to know what was happening to his station. Then she heard a voice she really didn’t expect to hear; Tammy’s
“Tammy, your father is busy right now,” Joanna said, jumping onto the channel before her husband could. As Science Officer, there was really little Joanna could do in the current situation on Ops, but she could make sure her husband wasn’t distracted from his duties.
“Mum, something weird just happened,” Tammy said, her voice sounding very worried.
“What is it?” Joanna asked, panic in her voice as she feared the worst, had the explosion harmed any of her children?
“That Romulan Ambassador was just at our quarters, he beamed here, and then beamed out again, but mum, he left his kid here! And he looked like really stressed.”
“Tedak has left you his son?” Joanna asked, unable to believe it, Tedak was well known to be very protective of his child; it was most unlike him to leave him so quickly.
“Keep up Mum,” Tammy answered, “I already said he had done didn’t I?”
“Am I hearing things correctly?” Paul Drew asked, stepping down to the science station, “Tedak beamed in and out?”
“Apparently,” Joanna answered.
“Lily, location of Ambassador Tedak,” Drew said, tapping his comm badge.
“Ambassador Teedak is not aboard,” Lily answered.
“Dam it not again!” Drew hit the console in front of him with annoyance, then asked Lily the other question, “Am I right in thinking Ambassador Saarok is also not aboard?”
“That is correct,” Lily again answered.
“Bloody Ambassadors, can never do anything by the book, always get themselves in trouble, and then get themselves in even more trouble trying to get out of it!”
“Calm down dear,” Joanna said, as everyone in Ops was now staring at Drew, who had gone red in the face from his shouting.
“Those two are going to be the death of me, I tell you,” Drew cursed, as he opened a channel to Magellan to tell him what those damned Ambassadors had done this time.

Magellan listened to Drews report, "I ll be right up" he said and headed for the nearest turbolift. Within minutes he was beside Paul in Ops. "Up to their tricks again. I should have suspected something like this." Paul raised an eyebrow. "Yes" Magellan contiuned "Saarok came to me earlier, he needed help verifying some information on a woman named V'Shal. What I found seemed conclusive - she works in intelligence, I m hoping its Starfleet but as a Vulcan it could well have been the Tal Shiar, especially with whats happened recently. "So what do we do. Hail them, chase them?" "Neither" Magellan replied bluntly, "If they wanted our help they would have asked, and I dont have the resources to go running after them everytime they go off to have an adventure." "I m still not happy with their disregard for protocols" Paul said. "I agree" Magellan nodded, "but they have someone on their side." Paul looked skyward, "Yes Lily." Magellan confirmed, "We need to make sure Lily knows that she is a starfleet programme and that in that regard she must obey us above anyone else. I cannot allow a Romulan Ambassador unrestricted access to a Starfleet Computer network and all the database and resources that entails." "That could prove difficult" Paul noted, "Her and Tedak formed a bond" "I know, but Lily formed a bond with our computer system. She must understand where we are coming from." "Possibly" "Well the alternatives are pretty grim. If she won't capitulate then we'll have to download her to a separate system. One where she can remain 'alive' whilst we install a new operating system." Paul whistled, "A whole new system. Commands going to love that. And it ll shut us down for at least 6 months." "I know and thats why plan A is going to work." Magellan replied with a smile. "I dont envy the person who is going to have to convince her." Magellan grinned even more broadly, "Self envy is never healthy" "Me!" Paul rolled his eyes, "Well you stand a better chance than me. I nearly had her killed." "Fair point." "Good. Oh and one of you may want to go help your daughter, I ve heard D'beren can be quite a handful"

"It will take us a week to reach Vulcan wt present speed", Saarok said when Tedak engaged the cloak and maximum warp
"I will use that time to meditate"; he said as he rose up from his seat, "Try not to .... kill each other"; he said to V'Shal and Tedak as he went out of the cockpit
He retreated to one of the cabins that Tedak's shuttle was equipped with for long journeys. It even had a replicator which he used to replicate a few candles. After he lit them up he dimmed the lights and deactivated the bell on his door he did not want anyone interrupting him. He had to try to remember where he could have had a safe house on Vulcan.
Although it was most likely a futile attempt he had to try. When all the preparations were done he closed his eyes and joined his hands in front of him. He first attempted to get his emotions under control and burry them deep inside him. He had to create a void in his mind if he was to attempt to retrieve lost memories....

Nurse Jill Tsomba brought in the final test results of further tests that were conducted from the alien reptile that was here, in the Starfleet section of the hospital. Once more they were inconclusive.
Stuart threw the PADD with the report on it across his desk, where it resulted in falling off the edge. They weren't making any headway in determining if the alien had anything to do with the virus. Stuart could only theorize that perhaps the virus didn't come from this particular patient, but it wasn't conclusive.
Stuart got up and left his office to visit his patient. Stuart had to deactivate a security forcefield as the alien was in the medical holding area for high risk patients. He didn't realize that he forgot to reactivate it as he approached the patient.
He was staring at the reptilian creature, as if he expected the answer to leap out at him. What he didn't expect, however, was for the reptilian to open his eyes. Stuart stood back as the reptile looked around before meeting eyes with him.
Stuart tapped his comm badge. "Admiral Lin, Dr. Mercy here. You may..." Stuart couldn't finish his sentence as the alien lept up from the biobed. His body then appeared to shimmer away into thin air, but not completely. Stuart could barely make out the outline of his body as the alien bumped passed him and quickly made his way out of this holding area.
Dr. Stuart Mercy tried to keep up with it, but it moved so fast that Stuart lost him visually as he disappeared from the infirmary, exiting out of the main doors.
=/\= What is it Mercy? =/\=
Stuart just realized the mistake he made. Now there was an alien loose on the station. This was not going to be good.
"Uh, Admiral...we have a security situation. The alien from the artifact has just escaped from the infirmary. It has some type of active camouflage, and it is very quick."
=/\= How in a Nova's starburst...never mind. I'll get the details later. Admiral Lin out. =/\=
Stuart knew he had screwed up and he would hear it from the Admiral later.
Within seconds sirens went off and a voice could be heard over the Starfleet section of the starbase.

Drew took a deep breath; he really wasn’t looking forward to this conversation with Lily. He knew Magellan was right, and that Lily needed to be told she was a Starfleet computer system, not the Ambassador’s own personal computer, but he knew it wasn’t going to be easy. In some ways he thought, Tammy and Joanna got the better end of the deal, looking after Tedak’s overly active son, who seemed to share his foster father’s flare for getting into dangerous situations.
Sitting down in the large leather chair behind his desk, he pressed a control on his console, this brought up the entire display of the current status of the computer system. Then with one more deep breath, he spoke to Lily.
“How can I help Admiral?” Lily asked.
“I want to talk a bit about your programming Lily,” Drew said slowly, thinking how best to word what he had to say, “It is my understanding that you are totally merged with the Starfleet systems on the station?”
“That is correct,” Lily replied.
“So in a very real sense, you are apart of Starfleet.”
“In a way, yes I am,” Lily answered.
“And from the Starfleet programming you have access to, you understand the security procedures that every Starfleet system as, such as command codes?”
“Affirmative,” Lily replied, using the typical Starfleet term.
“Therefore, you understand that Ambassadors, while having a high security clearance, do not have any command codes.”
“You are referring to Teedak and Ambassador Saarok?” Lily asked.
“Yes,” Drew replied, “you see Lily, since your merger with the Starfleet systems, you have given Ambassador Tedak in particular a massive amount of access to our systems, a privilege he is not entitled to.”
“But Teedak is my friend,” Lily replied, “I only wish to help him.”
“I understand that Lily, and its very commendable,” Drew answered, “but, you if you wish to remain merged with our computer systems, you must follow Starfleet protocol, no one, not even Admiral Lin can leave this station, through transporters, or shuttle, without the express permission of the duty watch officer on Ops.”
“Am I not allowed to help anymore?” Lily asked.
“You can help, but only as far as the Starfleet programming inside of you allows, when your programming says a Starfleet command code is required to do something, do not do it until you receive the correct command code, and execute the correct security procedures to verify the code.” “Is Tedak in trouble?” Lily asked.
“He may be, he just may be.”
But, before Drew or Lily could say anything more, the entire room sounded with red alert alarms, and then Magellan’s voice came over the comm system, calling all senior staff back to Ops.
“Remember what I said Lily,” Drew called, as he hurried down the corridor towards the nearest turbo lift.

Lily roamed around the computer systems, accessing files on Starfleet security protocols and absorbing the information in them. It was quite clear to her that she'd done something she shouldn't have, and that her actions may have endagered the lives of everyone on the station.
She sent a message to Admiral Drew's console, and that of Admiral Lin telling them both that she was really sorry about it and that she'd try her best to stick to starfleet protocol. She was only just very afraid to lose the few friends she had, those she'd acquired before becoming part of the station's computer system.
~~
Tedak sat back in the pilot's seat, stretching his arms above his head. "I really hope that Saarok has something on Vulcan that could assist him in regaining his memory. Is there no way that Salek can assist?" he asked, gazing at V'Shal who looked rather desinterested around the shuttle.
He gazed out at the window, then smiled. "Have a look, that nebula over there somewhat resembles a tea pot doesn't it?" He chuckled, but stopped quickly when V'Shal didn't seem to find it even remotely funny. "At least my wife would've given me some sort of challenging response," he muttered, and fixed his gaze back on the book he'd been reading.
~~
D'Beren crawled rapidly through the Drew family quarters, squealing as the girl tried to catch up with him to confine him somewhere. Then suddenly the top of his head connected with something solid, looking to be two long poles standing quite close together.
The boy sat up, rubbed his head and started crying, alerting the bronze firelizard that had remained behind on the station, and now came shrieking into the family quarters. The little bronze settled on the floor and chittered at the boy, then glared up at the individual whom the two long poles <aka legs> belonged to.

The ride in the turbolift seemed to take longer than usual, although Drew reflected, that was probably because it was stopping at so many levels, as everyone called the lifts to arrive at there red alert posts. Finally reaching Ops, Drew walked out to find it in total ciaos.
“Security reports the intruder is now on level nine,” someone called out.
“Tactical teams are already on the scene, sealing all exits from that deck,” another replied.
“It’s no good, security now reporting the intruder as again moved, scanning for new location.”
“I would say report, but I don’t think there is any need,” Drew said as he approached F’rras.
The Bolian looked up at Drew, with a well and truly stressed and non amused look on his face; he even seemed a deeper shade of blue than usual.
“Everything ok?” Drew asked him, concerned.
“Remember that Vulcan ship?” F’rras asked.
“All to well,” Drew said, recalling the ‘encounter’ he had with the Vulcan Captain of an un-registered Vulcan ship a few hours ago.
“They have just departed from the base, according to our sensors, there course matches the last known heading of Ambassador Tedak’s shuttle.”
Cursing silently, Drew moved to his own station and reviewed again the details of the Vulcan ship, although only lightly armed; it was still tactically superior to the Ambassador’s shuttle.
“Send out a warning on the last known frequency of the shuttle’s comm system,” Drew ordered, “I’ll inform Starfleet Operations in the Vulcan system to stand by to assist them.”
“Aye aye sir,” F’rras replied, “message sent.”
Having done all he could for the Ambassadors, Drew turned his attention back to the intruder currently running loose on SBA. Magellan had been busy in the centre of Ops barking out various orders, and it now seemed most of the station was sealed off, but still the intruder was moving freely around the station.
“Have we got a sensor lock?” Drew asked, walking over to Magellan.
“Barely,” Magellan answered, “whoever they are, they are moving to fast for us to track them constantly.”
“Can we flood the decks with something will knock him out?” “Maybe,” Magellan answered, “some one get on to Dr. Mercy and find out what might knock this thing out.”

The Romulan ambassador looked up from his reading when suddenly the short range sensors started beeping furiously at him. "A Vulcan ship is on direct approach," he announced, raising an eyebrow at V'Shal. "I don't recall calling for assistance, and I certainly don't recall getting a message that a Vulcan vessel would be meeting up with us."
V'Shal looked at the readings, "Is a Vulcan ship in Vulcan space that unusual?"
"I think you'd better wake up your bondmate, and leave me to deal with my shuttle," Tedak cut in, "so far they seem to be guessing wildly as to where we are. Note how they seem to flit all over the place, is that how a Vulcan vessel conducts a search?"
"It is irregular. But they maybe using a pattern we are unfamiliar with. Perhaps we should hail them... although..." she paused and frowned at the registry "On second thoughts it is highly random. I m a less inclined to think there activites are legitamate"
"No, I didn't think so either, so my guess is that whatever is aboard that shipt, it aren't Vulcans." Quickly, he checked the diplomatic vessel's equipment. "Cloak is still fully functional, and we are still three hours away from Vulcan."
Then suddenly the ship shook violently, and alarms started blaring. "Correction, make that cloaking device offline," he muttered, peering at the damage report. "This is odd," he continued, "they seem to have scraped our hull, that shouldn't have been possible. Whoever was on that shuttle, lured us into believing we didn't know they knew where we are."
The ship shook again, this time accompanied with the distinct hum of a tractorbeam having taken hold of the ship. "Computer, counteract that tractorbeam, send out a tachyon pulse to disrupt it. Once we're loose, ahead full warp and alert Vulcan Space Control that we're coming in damaged and under attack!"
The computer remained oddly silent.
"Seems I've got to do it myself. Ma'am if you would be so kind to mind our speed and jump to full warp once we're loose, then I'll see to getting that tachyon burst up that tractorbeam."
"I shall endeavour to meet your...demands"

Saarok was meditating in his quarters for the past 5 days. During that time he had not even slept nor eaten anything in an attempt to somewhat restore some of his old strength. It was not an easy thing to do but slowly he did manage to establish a more solid barrier then what he had before. He would need to establish a link with a Vulcan perhaps even V'Shal in order to gain some of her strength in order to enhance his own mind.
Suddenly he felt the ship shaking. He opened his eyes and broke of his meditation cycle when the ship shook again. Weapons fire his mind said. Someone was attacking them and it would appear they possessed means to detect cloaked vessels. He got to his feet and went out of his quarters towards the cockpit.
"What is happening?", he asked V'Shal and Tedak
"It appears we are under attack from an armed Vulcan Science Ship" V'Shal summarised.
"A Vulcan ship?", he said, "More of my former friends, V'Shal"; he asked
"It would seem so. I did warn you of the threat - perhaps now you believe me?"
"Logic would state if that is the truth they will not permit us to jump to warp", he said, "Now we can not stay here for too long either", he said, "But perhaps", he started, "Recently I have discovered that I poses a fair amount of knowledge on weapons systems, perhaps if you could bring up a scan of their ship I might be able to remember the point where we need to hit their ship to disable it"; he said
After reviewing the scan for a few seconds he thought he had the answer.
"Here"; he said, "A direct hit in this junction should disable them long enough to allow us to escape", he said
Saarok hoped that his mind was correct and that a hit in the place he pointed out would disable the Vulcan ship.
"Perhaps we should hold that in reserve. They have us at a tactical disadvantage. I believe we should talk to them first bluff our way out. Mask your life signs and claim to be on a diplomtaic mission."
Tedak looked unsure but said, "Actually This vessel isnt very big. Lets give it a try." quickly he set up a dampening field around the aft compartment, "Saarok, go back there." Saarok obeyed. "Okay lets give this a try" Tedak said and keyed an open comm line, "Diplomatic Courier to Unknown Ship. Please cease your attack" The image of a stern Vulcan appeared on te screen. "Why?" he stated matter of factly, "This is a diplomatic ship on a mission to reunite romullus and vulcan." "And..." he replied as a another phaser shot whizzed past. "And" V'Shal asserted forcing herslef into view, "And we are TWO entirely innocent parties. We are on important business." "Two you say" that Captain paused. "Our scans indicated 3." "Check again, there are only 2" The captain did so. "So it seems. We were told a third was aboard." V'Shal nodded, "Then your information was wrong. I am sure whoever is paying you WOULDNT want you destroying an inncoent vessel." The Vulcan nodded, "I understand. It would be most ineffiecent and Illogical if our quarry is not aboard. Good Day" With that the survey ship pulled away and departed. "That was close." Tedak noted, "Lets get this bird ground side."

Stuart had entered Ops and was observing the attempted capture of the run amok alien.
Admiral Drew noticed his presence. "Doctor, is there anything we can maybe use on this thing to help capture it?"
"We could flood the environmental system with Anesthezine, it's a fast-acting sedative gas. Of course we need to be able to isolate our guest in a certain area, before we just let this gas loose."
"If you would, doctor, could you please prepare a batch and coordinate with engineering the distribution of it? As soon as we have him cornered, we'll coordinate between with the Operations Officer and the Engineering Officer the dispersal of the gas."
"Yes, Admiral. On my way. I'll contact you when I have the batch ready." Stuart disappeared from Ops for this new assignment.

“Thank you Doctor,” Drew replied, as Dr. Mercy hurried off to get ready. On his own console, Drew started looking for any sort of pattern to the creatures movements, it was then he noticed, each time the creature appeared, it was getting closer and closer to the docking bays. Not on a direct route, but it kept appearing closer each time, using this information, Drew pinpointed the next deck the creature was likely to appear on, at once he erected forcefields throughout the location.
“Operations to Dr. Mercy, I hope you’re ready.”
“Ready and waiting,” Mercy replied.
“I believe the creature will appear somewhere on deck twenty three, I have forcefields around the location, prepare to release the gas.”
“Aye Admiral,” Mercy answered.
“There he is, now Doctor!”
“Releasing gas,” Mercy reported, “it’s having the desired effect, the creature appears to be unconscious.”
“I’ll have security bring him to the infirmary; I’ll be down there ASAP.”
Closing the channel, Drew brought environmental controls back online on deck twenty three, clearing the gas, then lowering the force fields, he sent security to capture the intruder. Once all this was done, he left Ops to meet up with Dr. Mercy.

Having been running around the station for the past half an hour, doing one thing after another, Tomlinson had not much appreciated then having to chase the intruder around the starbase. Thankfully that particular game was over now, and the intruder had been returned to sickbay. The security chief however, had still not done his complete work for the day. Admiral Drew had sent him a message requesting that he check on the security of his quarters, and on his daughter. The admiral, he was sure did not know the awkwardness that was caused when Simon was with Tammy Drew, not, he suspected did he know of what Tomlinson was now recognising as something of an infatuation that Tammy had for the security chief.
However, in spite of this, the Commander was not going to argue with an order from somebody who was so much further up the chain of command than himself, and instead he followed out the orders. It took him next to no time to come to the conclusion, already reached by Drew, that the breach had simply been caused by Lily giving Tedak too much clearance, and short of repeating Drew’s speech to Lily, there was nothing he could do.
So with that done, he now only had to visit Tammy and make sure that she was okay. Drew had reported that she seemed a bit shaken, but otherwise fine on his departure, but something told Tomlinson that she might be a bit more shaken still when he arrived. So shaken in fact, that he would have to remain to make sure that nobody else got in for a while, maybe even until her parents arrived back. The security chief sighed, he was sure that Ayiana already suspected him of something, but he had done nothing wrong, and so saw no reason to protest his innocence to her.
He stepped into the Admiral’s quarters, and was greeted immediately with the site of Tammy lounged across the couch, watching a short holo-vid. Her hair was down, spread out over the armrest, and her clothes were much simpler than those she normally wore. She certainly didn’t seem very shaken, and indeed, had not even noticed him, so enthralled was she. He considered turning around and leaving the room, but did not want to get in trouble with Drew later, and so he coughed lightly.
- “Miss Drew?” Her head spun, and she looked horrified and shocked. He thought he heard her mutter something like ‘My hair!’ but he couldn’t be sure. - “Simon, what are you doing here? How did you get in?” She asked, shocked still. - “Your father said that you seemed a bit shaken, and asked me to check up on you. As to how I got in, my security clearance would allow me even into Admiral Lin’s quarters and office should I wish to use it, however in this case you father had left instructions on the computer that I be let in.” She looked about the room for a few seconds, as if considering something, and then she ran to him. - “You can’t see me like this. I’m fine, I’m fine, go!”
He was shooed out of the room, and stood outside for a few seconds, in shock. He had not expected to get out that easily, but the manner of it had left him in no split mind about why he had been removed. Not because she didn’t want to see him, but that she didn’t want him to see her looking ‘normal’.

Magellan sighed a breath of relief as Drew informed him that the alien had been brought under control. "Any idea why it went wild?" "Other than waking up somewhere unexpected I m not sure" Drew replied. "Fair point. At least with him out of his coma we maybe able to get more information." Drew frowned, "Since when has that ever been the way of things" Magellan returned the admirals burgeoning smile, "another fair point. This is getting to be a habit. I thought I was the sensible one." "What can I say, the universe is a strange and wonderous place." "Well good work Paul. I suggest you go get some rest. You ve been on duty for hours." "Sure thing. I can hardly remember what my family looks like" With that Drew departed.
An hour later and Magellan had managed to check in on Mercy and meet with Captain Irae of teh El Salvador. Magellan watched Deis depart and then returned to his desk. "Sir!!!" Magellan looked up as Zoilip apppeared in the Ops doorway to his office. "Its the Nevada." "Shes here!!" he answered leaping to his feet. He appeared at the master operations table in a matter of seconds just in time to hear Frass assign them to Berth 6. "Any word on their status?" "Only that they have Sickbay on standby - multiple casualties" teh Regulan reported, "Multiple!" Magellan repeated "Page Dr Mercy - ensure hes on hand, and wake Admiral Drew, have him report to Ops at his earliest convienence." Zoilip paused his blue bifurcated face cautious, "Sir you only just sent Admiral Drew back to his family an hour ago, he ll no doubt be asleep by now, especially after..." "I m well aware of the Zoilip, that why i said wake and earliest convienince not even I would expect some one to report in their night clothes. Though theres always a first time. Whens your shift end again?" he grinned at the bolian. F'rass interrupted their banter sidling up beside them, "I m getting a message from Captain Jira" "Put it through to my office" Magellan replied, returning to his small space. "Harrias good to see you I thought we d lost you for good. And with one of my ships too." Harrias smiled, except his grin was tight, one born from weariness and loss. "It looks like things were tough. Forget the formal report just give me the highlights." Harrias nodded in approval and began to relate their adventures since their disappearance from known space. Magellan listened carefully and nodded and frowned at the appropriate points. He perked up at the mention of the artifact. "Thats most interesting." he replied at the conclusion, "Sounds like we have something here. I ll not explain now, I ve arranged a briefing for tommorrow at 0900 hrs in confernece lounge 3. Have your senior staff attend. Till then get your people sorted and get some rest - Fr'[word deleted] can sort you out. Magellan out." Within minutes a disgruntled Drew appeared in Ops, "It never rains but it pours" he noted dryly "You can say that again. I ve just recieved word that teh Nevada's back." Magellan explained "They okay?" "I havent had a full report yet but Jiras message included phrases like wormhole, time travel and strange artifacts." "Great - Time travel. That means Temporal Investigations will be sniffing around. Hang on - did you say strange artifact?" "I sure did. I m arranging a meeting with Captains Jira and Irae tomorrow morning. I d appreciate your presence you did after all rescue the Angel." "Sure what time." "0900hrs. Conference Lounge 3. Till then could you schedule support teams to speed repairs the Nevada and El Sal and get them resupplied ASAP."
Tag Drew
Magellan watched his friend depart and then made his way down to sickbay to check on their alien visitor in person. At this rate he would have to move it nearer to Ops, he seemed to be flitting between the two all day long.

The last section of their journey to Vulcan was largely uneventful, although tedak was aware of a small sensor ghost. Always on the edges of their long range sensors something lurked. They passed through the inner defences of Vulcan and easily cleared customs using their joint diplomatic papers. Tedak at V'Shals instruction put the shuttle down in the Takona region space port. From there they hired a skimmer and made the 2hr journey to the small and obscure city of Shri'Nuon. "So do you feel any memories returning back in your birthplace?" Tedak asked,
TAG Saarok
"Well perhaps more will come to you. So where do we start." "Perhaps the family home." V'Shal suggested, "You once told me your mother ran a small business in the business quarter?"
TAG Saarok
"I see. Well it might be a start. Tedak. Why dont you go book us a room whilst Saarok and I go take a look." V'Shal asked politely.

"I am afraid, I am not getting anything", Saarok responded
"And you are certain I was telling the truth?", he asked
"According to my Starfleet record my mother died years ago"; he said, "But perhaps it was or is a clue", Saarok said, "Perhaps we will find something else there, something that might lead us to our common goal"; he said
"Let us proceed", Saarok said as he and V'Shal left Tedak and proceeded to the business quarter. It was not a large part of town for the entire town was not too large itself so it was no surprise Saarok thought as they were moving through the streets.
"Tell me"; he said; "Do you believe that the Vulcan ship gave up on you when they detected only 2 life signs on board?", he asked
"They went away logic would assume that was the reason. What else could it be?"
"It would be logical, I doubt that they are that naive"; he said after she responded to him
As they resumed their walk a man ran out of the side-street and bumped into Saarok.
"I am terribly sorry", the man said avoiding eye contact with both of them, "I wasn't looking where I was going", the man resumed, "Here let me help you pick your things up", the man said as he gave a pad to Saarok, "You seem to have dropped this", the man said and before either of them could do anything ran of down the street
"That is most irregular. I did not know you were carrying a PaDD?" VShal responded with curiosity,
"I was not carrying a pad"; he responded still looking at the pad in his hand

Tedak scowled as he sauntered off through the hot streets of the Vulcan city. This was his first visit to Vulcan, and already he didn't like the place. He marched into the first building that resembled a hotel and to his chagrin found it was fully booked.
"Fine, I'll see if I can find a diplomatic office," Tedak grunted, wondering how the Vulcans could ever stand this heat. His dark robes were absorbing the heat, and he was thinking that perhaps he should change in something that reflected light rather than absorbing it. However, by his robes people could see that he was a diplomat, whereas if he would change in something else they might not.
He found the diplomatic office and through there found he could book two rooms in a nice hotel, which surprisingly was set for off-worlders as it had airconditioning. "Put it on my diplomatic account," Tedak told the warden, as he followed his host to his own room. There, he finally changed in a cream coloured robe and went out on the streets again to find V'Shal and Saarok.
"I have booked us a room in Hoted Seaside," he announced and smirked, "ironically, there isn't a sea even remotely in the area. Have you two discovered anything?"
