With only 3 hours left before they reached Qro'nos Sam looked at the status of his crew. *****Thought***** Oh no they aren't my crew anymore. I left for SFI, I was so dumb. If I only could remeber my last mission, maybe I'd know then why I need to kill ambassador Miro. Think Sam, think. ************* For a few moments Sam walked around the bridge. He checked the course they were taking, it was the best course. En then he remebered some detail. It had something to do with an underground association that tried to "help" the Federation. "Yeah right help." Sam said out loud. "That was it." OFF: People I'm winning.

The Tiger Shark was still headed towards Qo'Nos at high warp, on their way towards Ambassador Miro's doom. Virtually all the crew were situated in the cargo bay, where a sticky situation developed. Luckily, Luke was able to dissolve the issues quickly, and everybody returned to their duties, which were, primarily, to get out. While J'Leera spoke with the Admiral, Wood and Rye were busy trying to gain access to the secondary enviromental systems, when all of a sudden the console sparked and gave out. The interfaced PADD Wood was holding still worked, but started exhibiting some strange behaviour. The LCARS moved, and formed a large black 'hole' in the middle of the screen. While Wood and Rye watched (and quickly called J'Leera and the Admiral), the face of Captain K'Vada appeared. Antennea spread wide out, he began to speak. It was a recording. "Crew of the Tiger Shark. You are recieving this message because you have attempted accessing the computer. This will not be tolerated. By the authority of Starfleet Intelligence, I have ceased control over this vessel. You will do nothing to compromise this control, by order of Starfleet. Not complying to this will result in legal action by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and Prosecution. I implore you, stand down!"
The screen went black, and a dazzled ensemble of officers stared at the PADD. Wood broke the silence. "Must've been using a recursive Isoganatic algorythm. Impressive for a former medical officer like K'Vada."" "Impressive or not, we need computer access. You three have your work cut out for you." "Well then, ideas?" Wood asked.

The food had been scanned and confirmed that it was safe. That hadnt surprised Luke, K'Vada may have taken control of the TS but he had worked with the crew for many years, Luke couldnt and wouldnt believe that he would purposefully harm them.
Luke helped the crates be divided, he and the officers that he worked with noted that there was at least three days food there. This worried Luke slightly as he estimated they were only 3 hours away from Q'ronos, assuming that K'Vada hadn't changed speed. This meant that K'Vada possibly wanted the ship for something else afterwards, something that required the crew to be kept in the cargo bay for three days.
He slowly walked over to his department and began to think. There must be a way out of the situation. He scratched his head slowly, allowing thoughts to flow through his mind.
"He must have surveilance in here..." He muttered to himself.
He glanced around the walls and ceiling, there were no obvious points that could contain a device. This was a rarely used Cargo bay and so had the basic security devices in...
"The consoles!" He cried.
Each Cargo bay used relay circuits that transmitted images but could not recieve, like an old fashioned mirror used in Earth holding cells.
That wouldnt be the only way though. K'Vada definately wasnt stupid, he would be using the sensors to detect their heat signatures and their comm badges! It was all fitting into place!
So along with the security cameras visible only from the bridge and the Cheif of Securitys office, K'Vada was using their heat signatures and comm badges. Luke continued to think. There was nothing much they could do about the heat signatures at that precise moment. However if they all removed their comm badges and placed them on the ground that may confuse K'Vada long enough for a few of the senior officers to work on the serveilance devices in the consoles. Maybe they could run a continous loop, or plant false data?
Luke casually walked over to where the Admiral was, not wanting to attract any attention from Captain K'Vada on the bridge.
He briefed the Admiral on his hypothesis through padd, Commander Wood, Rye and J'Leera were also there and Luke gave them each a padd. He spoke over the top of their reading about the food supply and the organisation of the groups. Hoping that this was enough to throw the Captain off the scent of what they were doing.
"So." Luke said after rambling for about 5 minutes. "What do we think?"

"Buster, do you have a tricorder we could use?" Luke asked.
Buster nodded. "Sure, I'll get one out of my medkit!" Buster said, and he hopped off between the crowd, doing his best not to bump into anyone.
He was back at Cassidy and opened his medkit, fetching the tricorder out of it, and running back again, only he DID bump into someone this time. "Sorry" Buster said, hardly looking who he knocked from his feet. He ran back to Luke and handed the tricorder over.
Luke rejected it and nodded at the containers with food. "You are the doctor here, scan them for poison", Luke said.
Buster immediately scanned them. "They look safe, at least, unless It's something that doesn't show on tricorder at all... But I doubt that" Buster said, and he nodded back at Luke, showing him they could start to divide the food...

Off: First of all, welcome to our new addition: Acting Ensign Dontai
On: "We got it, I think we got it!" Danny yelled enthusiastically. Seconds later, the doors to the cargo bay hissed open. A cheer erupted from the assembled crew in the cargo bay and Danny thought that for a brief moment he could even detect a hint of a smile on Thirteen's face. They had done it. "Now all we have to do is recapture the ship. A young Security officer approached Danny and Thriteen. "Ehm sirs, what about SFI legal actions? Captain K'Vada specifically told us he acted on SFI authority. Danny smiled. "I never much liked those backstabbers. Let them sue me if they want." With that, he turned around and walked out of the cargo bay. At least, that was his initial plan.
A loud crack of energy sounded through the cargo bay and Danny was blown backwards. Somewhat stunned and desoriented, he lifted his head from the floor and weakly exclaimed, "Damn, force field," before sinking down again.
Off: Sorry, gotta go now. I'll wait for a response and post more later.

Buster ran over to Danny, who was lying on the ground. Some other crewmembers who stood next to Danny made room for him. Buster crouched next to Danny.
"Are you okay?", Buster asked.
Danny shook his head, not to mention he wasn't, but because he was trying to orient himself again.
"I'm fine", Danny said, and made an attempt to pull himself from the floor. Buster helped him get up.
"That's a nasty forcefield" Buster noted.
Danny groaned. "I guess we aren't out just yet".
Buster rolled his eyes and walked back to the crowd again, forcefields weren't his area of expertise. He decided to check up on Cassidy, or something to keep him busy, but when he walked towards Cassidy, he heard the crackle of the forcefield again, behind him. He made a short jump to look over the crowd as to what was happening. Danny was once again lying on the ground, looking even more stunned than before. He had probably made another attempt. This time Thirteen tried to get Danny up.
Buster was pulled back to the ground by gravity. He raised his shoulders. He hoped that they managed to get the crew out of cargobay soon. It wasn't too healthy having too many people in one place for a long time...

Danny was annoyed. Twice he had been blown back by the force field surrounding the cargo bay and it didn't move an inch. Thirteen had stopped him from trying it a third time and when an automatic recording of Captain K'Vada's voice boomed through the cargo bay saying "ah ah ah, you didn't say the magic word" over and over again, Danny damn near exploded. It took Commander Fitzpatrick nearly ten minutes to calm him down while J'Leera located the source of the recording and shut it down.
Meanwhile, the rest of the crew had grown increasingly more restless. The crowd in the cargo bay, the heat, the sense of confineness and of course the plain and simple fact that they were prisoners on their own ship made them nervous, angry, scared, irritable or a combination of those.
When Rye had finally managed to calm him down, Danny rejoined the group to start looking for a solution. "Rye, is there any way to overload the forcefield?"
<TAG: Fitzpatrick>
Meanwhile, the crew were getting hungry and the food crates were still untouched. Commander Dowding reminded Admiral KezTrek of the situation. KezTrek replied it was time for dinner, at least for those who were not working on an immediate solution. "Commander Dowding, Captain LΓΆhnen, please make sure everyone gets his or her share in an orderly fashion, she ordered. Danny joined Luke who addressed the crowd. "All right, everyone," Luke started. "It's supper time. All non-essential personnel lin up and proceed orderly. If you try to get here before your turn you will not eat tonight. Clear? Let's move."
It started out with quite some chaos, but after a short while there was a relatively orderly line waiting to be served. Danny looked at the newest addition to the crew. It wasn't hard to spot him since he was still looking around quite ill at ease. The newcomer wore a Security uniform so Danny called out to him. "Ensign." The crewman responded. "Yes sir?" "What's your name?" Danny asked him. "Acting Ensign Dontai sir." "Well Ensign Dontai, welcome to the Tigershark. It's not usually like this. Let's hope we all see the day when things return to normal. In the mean time, could you help us distributing the food?" As an afterthought, Danny added jokingly with a smile on his face. "If they're not properly fed soon, we're gonna have a mutiny on our hands"

J'Leera stared at the forcefield in exasperation. It was very annoying to be able to look at their freedom and not be able to get to it. "Let's try again," she mumbled and began to fiddle with the console.
Just as they thought that they found a solution, K'Vada's pre-recorded message that repeated over and over again, "ah ah ah, you didn't say the magic word". She jumped to find the source, but it took her a few mintues. By that time she was ready to plug her ears and run off screaming, but of course she had to resist that urge. After all, what would the ensigns think?
She began to think about what Luke told them. It made sense that K'Vada was monitoring them. If they were going to get out, then they were going to have to figure out how he was doing that exactly and then fool the computer into thinking that everyone was present when in fact, some where actually gone.
She also had another idea that she wanted to explore. "Hey, Luke," she said, walking over to him. "Where's Giga? Do you think that he could that he could punch a hole in this bulkhead?"

Luke was working on a plan to fool the computer system when J'Leera walked over.
Luke looked up, a little puzzled.
"My father and Giga left at least a week ago J'Leera, maybe longer. My father was assigned to the Bellicose and Giga had to take his post on the Raven."

Now, how did I miss that? she frowned. "Sorry Luke. I'm not sure how I missed that one. I guess I've been spending too much of my time in the lab and not socializing much."
Tag: Luke
She glanced around the room. Even if Giga weren't there, then perhaps they could use something else to break through with. "I did notice that the support beams near the door are weak. Perhaps we could use..." she looked around quickly again when her eyes rested on a large piece of metal.
"I've got a crazy idea," she suddenly said. "Suppose we were to use that long cylinder over there as sort of a...what's the word? Battering ram?"

Luke nodded, understanding exactly what J'Leera was talking about. So much seemed to be going on at the moment that Luke seemed to be neglecting his friends.
"Dont worry J'Leera, theres so much work at the moment. We should definately do something though, when we get out of this situation."
Luke smiled. It was basic, but it just might work.
"I like it!" He said, "We need to inform the Admiral of this first and figure out a way to solve the problem of the surveilance."

OFF: Sorry for my lack of posting this week. I'll better myself.
ON: Sam was still on the bridge. There was only one hour left before he arrived at Qro'nos. When he would arrive there he should have 2 days before Ambassador Miro would leave with the TS. She was dead by then. It was time to make the preparations. "Computer replicate 0.2 onces of isomaltodase, 0.4 onces of Amoniumdichromate and 0.1 galon of hydrogen peroxide." Sam ordered. "To complete order a level 9 security code is needed. Please enter." The computer replied. "K'Vada, Sam. Captain of SFI. Security code pi-omega-omega-32." Sam said. "Security code accepted." The computer replied and the items were made. Sam began working on his device. After 30 minutes of work it was done. "Good, that's done. Now I only have to wait." Sam said and he sat down in his chair. He doze off again. He was now in a dark room. He couldn't move, there was a light in the back. He could sense there were people there. Then he felt a shap pain at is temple. He was awake. What was that deam. It felt real. I don't know.
--20 minutes later-- The TS arrived at Qro'nos. K'Vada beamed of the TS.
OFF: people come on and try to surprise me. I've almost compleated my objective.

And im back "now"
Dontai being of sound mine and body, could strictly remember being in a mess hall a few min earlier. Dontai look around and to his enlightenment he was in what appears to be a cargo bay. Well this isnt the mess hall, he thought and whith that he also noticed quite a few officer and crew members in what apears to be a cargo bay. You just got to love this, dontai though, the fine crew StarFleet vessel proud bold, the very image of the proud federation: lock in a cargo bay helples how amusing. Thoe he didn't find this to be a time for humor or the fact Sam K'Vada ruined a perfectly good meal. "He could at least wait till i was done", dontai mutter under his breath " lovely." So how do i get out of this holding cell, dontai wonderd. Well i might as well try and be useful in some way; mabey i can go help someone. Dontai looked around: i think we all could use some help, right about now - dontai thought with a sigh!
Dontai confused on what to do next begans to walk over to KezTrek, when to his suprise, KezTrek walk twords him and moves away from Daniel over towards him. "Ensign, I'm Admiral KezTrek."
"Yes , I know, ." He said, his voice had strong arrogance, but KezTrek knew nerves when she saw them.
"Welcome aboard Ensign, surely this isnt what you were expecting, and please, I'm too young to be a ma'am. Admiral is fine." KezTrek said putting on her most reassuring voice.
"Yes Captain, " Dontai said. "no actually i was expecting guard duty or simple Tactical Ens Stuff. well if their is any way i can help feel free just to ask, i kind of dont have anything to do."
"Well Ensign, you could go help Thirteen . Just stay with your department, and you'll be fine. Try and help the find a way out" KezTrek assured, giving him a small smile before moving on again.
Dontai confused and startled look away then went to find Thirteen; who was incharge of Chief Tactical and Security Officer on the tiger shark. Dontai might be able to help him in some way. Though one thing dontai did know is he was going to get revenge on Sam for ruining my meal. Dontai just hated it, when people interrupted him, when he was sitting down to eat!!!!
Dontai found Thirteen working on the other side of the cargo bay " Sir, Ens dontai reporting in, i offer you my service if they are required."

Luke was talking to J'Leera when he felt something.
"The ship has just dropped out of warp." He said.
J'leera looked questioningly at him.
"I spend a lot of time flying this ship, you get usedto the noises she makes. I need to talk to the Admiral now."
Luke left J'Leera figuring out how they could move the beam whilst he pushed his way through the crowd.
"Admiral!" Luke called, noticing her close to an officer he didnt know. "We have just dropped out of warp Admiral." Luke said. "The time we have been in here also corresponds with how long it should of taken to arrive at Qr'onos. I think we have arrived."
<TAG Admiral KezTrek>
Luke looked down at his feet, he had suddenly thought of something that may help. However, he did not relish the idea of explaining himself to the Admiral.
"What is it Commander?" The Admiral asked, picking up on Luke's body language.
"I believe I have a solution to our problems." Luke said, making eye contact with the Admiral. "As you may or may not know I was enslaved in my childhood, along with my family and..." He trailed off, not wanting to mention Amy. "We escaped, due to a virus myself and my father constructed using Cardassian evasive technology. This virus shut down all security and released door mechanisms. It provided a perfect way for us to gte off the slavers world. I have a copy of the virus in an encrypted file on the TS systems."
Luke looked down again. He knew he was in for it.
"Why did you not bring this to my attention sooner Commander?" The Admiral asked.
"It is an illegal virus Admiral. To be honest I do not know why I kept a copy of it. It also may not work on Starfleet systems.
The Admiral remained quiet, as if in deep thought.
"The question is Admiral do you wish me to release the virus. I have no idea what it may do to the Tiger Sharks systems, if any effect at all but I believe we have run out of options. If the doors are protected by forcefields then I imagine that the walls are too, so forcing our way out is not an option. I am sorry that I have put this on you but if we have arrived at Qr'onos then we are nearly out of time."
Luke looked directly at the Admiral. He had come to respect and trust this officer in the short time he had served with her. He knew that she would make the correct decision, but Luke couldnt help but worry about what this virus could mean for his career. However, there were more things at stake here.
"The choice is yours Admiral." He said, hiding the tension from his voice.

Thirteen checked his internal systems, but came to the conclusion that they would never be able to provide enough power to overload the forcefield. As Danny swooped in for a third attempt to burst through the forcefield Thirteen placed his hand on Danny's shoulder and shook his head. "It is of no use captain," Thirteen said calmly. He walked over to the field, and examined it more closely. The frequency had a strange glitch. Thirteen focussed, and processed that a programming error distorted the forcefield, weakening it for a thousandth of a millisecond every two seconds.
"The forcefield is corrupted," Thirteen notified. "Well I can see that it's not a regular Starfleet issue forcefield," Danny said. "I have noticed that, yet I mean that there is a distortion in the forcefield's pattern every two seconds, weakening it for a thousandth of a millisecond," Thirteen explained. "So it keeps on getting weaker?" Danny asked hopefully. "No, it is only weak for that very brief period of time," Thirteen said.
Just then an ensign came walking up to him, introducing himself as 'Dontai'. "Welcome aboard ensign," Thirteen said, not realizing the look he gave Dontai, "you find me in a bit of a strange situation, but we can use your help." "Okay, what do you want me to do?" Dontai asked. "You can assist captain Lohnen in properly dispatching food to the crewmembers, make sure everything goes orderly," Thirteen said. "Understood sir, I'm on it," Dontai said.
Thirteen felt the ship drop out of warp, and looked in the direction of the admiral, who was talking to Luke. He made up his mind, and walked over to Danny who was distributing food. "Mister Lohnen, I may have a plan, yet I am not certain of its success, however I feel that it is my duty to try," Thirteen said. "Well, what are you up to?" Danny asked, sounding curious. "We have arrived at Qr'onos, so we cannot wait longer, I will try to synchronize with the distortion in the forcefield, and blow its fuses," Thirteen explained. "That is way too dangerous," Danny said. "I have a good chance of survival," Thirteen said, "we must prevent captain K'Vada from committing the murder." Danny nodded. "Alright Thirteen, good luck."
Determined Thirteen walked back to the forcefield. The leathery tubes that came from his hand hovered in front of the energy field for a few seconds before they dug into it. The sight was horrifying, Thirteen's body shocked out of control, and sparks erupted from the sides of the forcefield. A bright blast sent Thirteen soaring through the air in a rain of sparks. His unconscious body dropped limp on the floor. His arm was burnt, and his hand no longer functional. The forcefield flickered on and off. It had not entirely budged, but did not recover from Thirteen's overload. Good timing should get someone through it, yet if someone'd go through at the moment it popped up again, the result would be devastating. Thirteen, however was not capable to witness the result of his overload, he lay out cold on the floor, internally fighting to keep his fried systems operational.

OFF: OK, no-one has responded to what Commander Thirteen last posted. I am going to carry on with the mission, if anyone has an objection to what I write next then I apologise and I will delete it if many of the crew don't like it this way. I just felt that someone needed to psot becuase the Tiger Shark has been inacitve for four days now which I don't think is showing how the second fleet do it at all! So here's my post...
ON: The Admiral took a deep intake of breath, just about to reply when Luke heard a startling noise. People were yelling and chaos was breaking out near the forcefield.
Luke immediately ran over to where the comotion was starting, the Admiral close behind.
"Move" Luke yelled through the crowd. "Mind your backs!"
Luke got to the forcefield and witnessed a terrible sight. Commander Thirteen was caught in the forcefied, his body twisting and shaking. Luke was about to go and pull his comrade out when he was shot across the room.
Buster immediately ran over to the fallen crewmember. Luke felt sick with emotion. Why had Thirteen done that? Had he though he could break through, or...
Luke began to run through the milling crowd, shoing his way through, oblivious to the cries of pain that were caused by his flying arms and legs. He hoped he was right about this.
Luke launched himself through the door and landed succesfully on the other side. He took a deep breath and saw that the forcefield has reactivated itself.
His heart was pounding and sweat poured from his forehead. Luke saw many of the crew crowd at the door and Admiral KezTrek moving her way through.
"Luke, get to the bridge. Get us out of here and prevent Captain K'Vada from beaming down to the planet."
"Yes Admiral." Luke said, beginning to run up the corrider.
He just couldnt get the image of Commander Thirteen's burnt and twisted form from his mind. He shook himself as he slid into a turbolift that whizzed off to the main bridge. The lighting was low all over the ship, as if saving power, or trying to remain inconspicuous from scans.
Luke prepared himself for the arrival on the bridge, K'Vada would probably be tracking the turbolift to the bridge, assuming he was still on the ship.
The tubolift stopped and whirred, time seemed to stand still for Luke. The doors hissed open and Luke rolled out of the lift, remembering his tactical training.
He peered above the tactical console and saw the bridge was empty.
"Computer, locate any Andorian crewmembers onboard."
=^= There are no Andorian crewmembers onboard =^=
Luke frowned and swore. He had already beamed down.
"Computer, when was the last transport off the Tiger Shark?"
=^= There have been no transports off the ship in the last day =^=
He had covered his tracks.
"Computer, restore all power and release the forcefields around Cargo Bay 2."
=^= Unable to comply. SFI security clearance required =^=
Luke swore again.
He attempted to open a comm channel to the Admiral and was surprised to find that he could. The rest of the crew would also here but he had no choice.
"Admiral, I am on then bridge. K'Vada has gone and he has covered his tracks. The computer is also locked out. I need an SFI security code, what do I need to do?"
Luke asked her this because he was sure the Admiral had been in Starfleet Intelligence.

Then you''ll have to walk straight on and you'll see it." "Thank you ma'm." Sam said and went on his way.

Luke sat down at his console. It allowed him to think. The Admiral was not responding to his comm calls. He could only assume that their had been some sort of comm dampening field placed around the bridge as his comm badge was working fine earlier.
He tapped the dark station absent-mindedly. The bridge was dark and a little gloomy, it was completely locked out apart from...
"Basic computer functions!" Luke said allowed.
He stood to his feet and straightened his uniform.
"Computer, begin emergency evacuation procedures. There is a problem with the warp core and all forcefields and security devices need to be disabled."
Luke was banking on the fact that the evacuation procedures were still on the basic computer functions that most Starfleet officers could access in a case of emergency.
=^= Please state correct authorization code =^= The computer sounded.
"Dowding, Luke, Commander, 4546 Beta B6716."
=^= Authorization code invalid. Commander Dowding, Luke is deceased =^=
Luke turned a pale white colour. Dead?
"Computer who is in command of the U.S.S. Tiger Shark?" Luke asked.
=^= Captain Sam K'Vada =^=
"What of Admiral KezTrek?"
=^= Vice Admiral KezTrek is deceased =^=
"Commander Laika, Marine Captain Lohnen, Commander Fitzpatrick, Commander Wood, Lt. Buster, Lt. Commander Thirteen. Anyone?" Luke asked, trying to remain calm.
The answers came back the same. Each officer that Luke sounded off the computer declared dead. Luke could only assume that K'Vada had manipulated the computer.
Luke took a deep breath.
"Computer, what level security code is required to bring online the transporters?"
There was a brief pause, then the computer responded. =^= A level 5 security code is required =^=
Luke frowned. If the computer thought he didn't exist then he would have to overload the security systems manually and that meant he would have to head down to Transporter control.
He decided that getting the transporters online took second place to releasing the crew. He sat down in his chair and scratched his head. The Shields were on a level nine SFI security codes and he would have to blow out half the tactical systems to override it, leaving the ship defenseless and dead in space.
He slapped himself on the forehead hard. "Of course!" He cried.
He ran into the turbolift and ordered it to the deck of his quarters. A plan formulating in his mind.

The doors hissed open of Luke's quarters. He frowned as he tried to remember the security code. He prayed that the computer lockout would not affect the safe, he had put it on a completely different system so all should be ok.
"Computer grant access to Commander Luke Peter Dowding. 4546. B6716. Theta. To secure locker 24B."
=^= Code aknowledged =^=
The door of the safe, hidden in the wall, swung open. Luke reached in and pulled out three objects. A photo, a padd and a phaser.
He placed the photo and phaser back into the safe but withdrew the padd.
"Computer reseal the locker. Commander Luke Peter Dowding. 4546. B6716. Theta. To secure locker 24B."
=^= Aknowledged =^=
Luke ran his hands over the wall where the door was, invisible to the naked eye. All was well.
He ran from his quaters and headed for main engineering. He wanted to brief the Admiral but he feared he didn't have time.
He arrived in Engineering to see the dark lifeless warp core, still and silent. The room was empty and dark. He strode over to the nearest console and placed the padd onto a receptor.
He pressed one button and immediately all hell let loose.
Lights flashed on and off and the computer initiated the alarms. Consoles exploded as power fluxuated and Luke dived for cover.
After two minutes the chaos stopped. He stood up and surveyed the damage. On first appearances it was nothing that Rye and his capable team couldn't repair. Luke didnt have time to complete a more detailed check.
He left Engineering, talking to the computer on his way to Cargo Bay 2.
"Computer. Who is in Command of the U.S.S. Tiger Shark?"
=^= Vice Admiral KezTrek =^=
The virus had worked, erasing whatever changes K'Vada had made.
"What is the status of Cargo Bay 2?" Luke asked, nevously awaiting the computers response.
=^= The forcefield is still active. 2 officers injured =^=
Luke felt sick. He had done that. "What two officers?" He asked.
The computer seemed to take an age to reply. =^= Crewman Harper and Vice Admiral KezTrek =^=
Luke could feel his insides churning. He had to get to the Cargo Bay and get those people out in an orderly fashion before he went any further. Command would fall to Commander Wood until the Admiral was on her feet again but Luke knew where he was heading.
"Computer, prepare a slipjet for a 20minute departure. Program the navigatiom systems with the last known beam out location."
=^= Aknowledged. Slipjet departure in 19.58 minutes =^=
Luke broke into a run and tapped his comm badge.
"Dowding to Wood." He said breathing deeply. "We now have control of the Tiger Shark, as soon as arrive at the Cargo Bay I will deactivate the forcefield and leave getting the people out to Commander Thirteen and Captain Lohnen. According to the computer Admiral KezTrek is hurt. Will she be alright?"
<TAG Wood>
"Aknowledged Commander. You are obviously the next on command now. I will be at the Cargo Bay in 1 minute."
<TAG Wood>
The comm channel closed and Luke sped round another corner, skidding to a halt at the forcefield.
"Commander Dowding to Danny."
<TAG Danny>
"You and Thirteen need to get the people under control in there before I can release the forcefield."
<TAG Danny>
After 5 minutes the departments were back in order and Buster and two nurses were by the forcefield with the Admiral and Crewman Daniels ready to take them to sickbay.
"Transporters are out Buster, you will need to carry them up to Sickbay." Luke said.
"Sure, Ill grab somebody to help me!" He replied.
"Will they be ok?"
"Yeah, there are a few burns and both will need to rest for a while but I expect a full recovery!" He replied.
"Ok Im going to release the field, maybe you could get that officer over there to give you a hand." Luke said pointing to an officer he had never seen before, he was wearing a mustard top.
"That is Ensign Dontai." Buster said. "He has just transferred here."
"Ensign Dontai! Over here!" Luke called. "Please assist the Doctor in getting these two patients to sickbay."
<TAG Dontai>
With that done Luke patched into the comm channel covering the entire Cargo Bay.
"All crew, this is Commander Dowding. You have all been informed of the procedure that is about to take place by Captain Lohnen and Commander Thirteen, please follow their orders. Engineering teams you have a lot of work to do so get to it. Command of the Tiger Shark has fallen to Commander Wood, any problems report to him." Luke said.
With that done Luke dropped the forcefield. He was impressed. The crew responded well, filing out in their departments. Civilians, and injured first. The rest following behind.
Luke turned and ran to the shuttlebay, he had about 10 minutes until the slipjet launch.

Sam arrived at the Klingon great hall. "Good I'm here." Sam said to himself "Now I'll gonna take the guided tour and just look at places Ambassador Miro will come." Sam walked to the info booth. --Guided tours through the Klingon great hall-- --Closed today-- "Bummer" Sam said out aloud "I'll have to find a hotel to stay in."
OFF: Well People I think I'm going to kill the Ambassador.

OFF: Not if we have anything to say about it. ON: In the cargo bay, a console suddenly exploded. Vice Admiral KezTrek and Crewman Harper, who were nearby when it happened, were injured in the blast. "Buster! Get over here!" The doctor was still with Thirteen when he was called by J'Leera, who crouched down near the injured officers. "What happened?" Wood approached, realising that if KezTrek would be rendered unconscious, he would be in command. "The console just... exploded. I don't know what this could have caused." Wood nodded. "Lieutenant, what is their condition?" Wood gestured towards the injured. "Second-degree burns, and Crewman Harper has a broken leg because of his fall. If I can get them to sickbay, they should make it." Buster said, remarkebly focused and sure of himself. Then, the Wood's comm badge chirped. "Oh no, not more of K'Vada's gloating.." Wood sighed. But it wasn't K'Vada, it was the voice of Luke. "Dowding to Wood, we now have control of the Tiger Shark, as soon as arrive at the Cargo Bay I will deactivate the forcefield and leave getting the people out to Commander Thirteen and Captain Lohnen. According to the computer Admiral KezTrek is hurt. Will she be alright?" "As long as we regain access to sickbay, they should be. Did you have something to do with the exploding console?" "It may have happened when I loaded the virus to regain access to the computer. Something similar has happened here." "I see, just make we can get out of here." "Aknowledged Commander. You are obviously the next on command now. I will be at the Cargo Bay in 1 minute." "Understood. Make haste, Wood out." After seeing several others talking to Dowding on the comm, the helmsman himself appeared behind the forcefield, activating the cargo bay comm system. "All crew, this is Commander Dowding. You have all been informed of the procedure that is about to take place by Captain Lohnen and Commander Thirteen, please follow their orders. Engineering teams you have a lot of work to do so get to it. Command of the Tiger Shark has fallen to Commander Wood, any problems report to him." He said, deactivating the forcefield. The crew began to evacuate the bay in an orderly fashion, with Buster and two nurses putting the injured (not forgetting Thirteen and the pregnant Ensign) on anti-grav stretchers. Luke was about to run off towards the shuttlebay when Wood called him back. "Commander, a word with you please?" "What is it, sir?" "Good work on regaining ship control, you've done an excellent job. However, the next time you plan to be heroic, inform us please..." Luke nodded. "Right then. I want you to track down K'Vada." "He's on the surface, sir." "I anticipated something like that... Take a shuttle, Marine Captain LΓΆhnen, Commander Laika and a security detail, and find him before he does something we'll all regret. And, err... tell them not to carry their weapons so visibly.. it may disturb the Klingons." Luke nodded again, "I already prepped a shuttle, sir. We'll be on our way." "Good, I'll be monitoring your progress from the bridge. Good luck, and find him." <Tag Luke, LΓΆhnen, J'Leera, Buster... anyone basically >

Luke had neglected to inform the Commander of his plan and if he had done that then the Admiral may not have been injured, that crewman may not have been either. He shook himself, there would be enough time to assign blame later, another life hung in the balance. Luke motioned for J'Leera and Danny to join him.
"OK guys, we are going to have brief and walk." Luke said.
The other two nodded and they started to walk.
"Our obvious mission objective is to save the Ambassador, there is no need for loss of life if it can be avoided. We will be traveling in a new design of shuttle that I had a hand in designing, they're faster and more reliable - the only problem being the lack of space. You can fit two people per slipjet. J'Leera if you come with me and Danny you can double up with some of your officers. How many marines do you recommend for a stealth mission?"
<TAG Danny>
"Understood. Just remember, the Klingon's cannot know the true nature of our visit. No weapons fire until the last possible minute, we don't want a riot starting."
The officers began to run to the shuttlebay and Luke heard Danny order a group of marine officers to the shuttlebay. Luke tapped his comm badge and ordered the computer to prep another two slipjets.
They arrived in the shuttlebay and Luke and J'Leera climbed into the streamline slipjet. Luke took the helm at the front and J'Leera sat behind him.
"Are you ready for some speed?!" Luke asked, getting excited that he would finally get to test the slipjet.
<TAG J'Leera>
Luke smiled. "Don't worry, I know exactly what I'm doing."
"Dowding to Danny, you ready to go?"
<TAG Danny>
"Aknowledged, lets rock and roll!" Luke said into the comm.
He started up the engines and could feel the systems spring to life beneath his hands. The slipjets shot out of the Tiger Shark and headed to the surface. Luke laughed despite the circumstances.
"Now this is flying!" Luke cried. He composed himself and readied himself for a struggle. He felt the comfort of a phaser beneath his tunic. He doubted that this would be easy...

The room appeared to be barely lit when Thirteen's eyes fluttered open. He looked around, but his vision was blurry. Torches covered stone hewn walls, and the cavern was crowded. He heard people scream, and children cry. Thirteen tried to focus, and get his vision back. Slowly the scene came into focus. The cavern shook, and pieces of stone came down from the ceiling.
Thirteen couldn't move his body, but he was able to turn his head. He saw a woman, she looked familiar to him. Her face was covered with tears, cradling a young child in her arms. Thirteen wanted to help her, but still couldn't move. All of a sudden rays of light burst their way to the cavern's sturdy ceiling, and rocks came crashing down. Thirteen saw how the woman with her child got buried under a pile of stones, then everything went black.

Thirteen opened his eyes, and found himself on an anti-gravity stretcher, as he just glided through the door of the cargobay. Thirteen sat straight up and looked around, everyone appeared to be leaving the cargobay in an orderly fashion.
"Thirteen?!" Buster's voice came from next to Thirteen's stretcher. "Yes lieutenant?" Thirteen asked. "Lay down, for crying out loud!" Buster exclaimed, staring at Thirteen with big eyes. "That will not be necessary lieutenant, I have managed to reinitialize my internal systems, I am operational again," Thirteen explained calmly. "Thirteen, be rational, look at your arm!" Buster said.
Thirteen looked at his right arm. It was not a pretty sight. Heavy burn marks covered his entire arm, up to his shoulder. Burnt red and black flesh had taken the place of where the sleeve of his uniform once was. "It is still functional," Thirteen concluded, moving his incinerated body part. It did not entirely respond in the way Thirteen wanted it too, but it still moved. Buster's eyes grew bigger. "Stop that!"
Thirteen overheard Luke, J'Leera and Danny talk. "Commander Dowding," Thirteen called. The helmsman came over. "Thirteen! You're okay?!" "I appear to be functioning yes. My apologies, but have overheard you talking. I would like to participate in hunting down captain K'Vada." "Okay, I'll have a slipjet ready for you! Just err, be sure to freshen up, and change your clothes before you come down," Luke winked. "Of course commander."
"You are not going anywhere commander!" Buster said as soon as Luke and Thirteen were done conversing. "Lieutenant, I am going down to the planet, with or without your help," Thirteen said determined. Buster sighed. "Why does no one ever listen to the medical officer."
After a ride on the turbolift, Thirteen arrived in sickbay, and after having treated Thirteen's arm as good as he could, Buster bound a special bandage around the arm, before Thirteen left sickbay. A quick run past his quarters provided Thirteen with new and clean garments.
When he arrived in the shuttlebay he found the others gone already. A single slipjet still stood in the bay, and Thirteen entered it. He powered up the ship's systems, and felt the potential of the slipjet. Some sort of steering wheel came up from the console, and it felt comfortable in Thirteen's hands. It took only little time before Thirteen discovered the throttle. Against expectations the slipjet launched itself out of the bay with magnificent speed.
As soon as Thirteen found himself in space he steered the jet down to Qro'nos, the fierce planet could be seen through his view screen.
=/^\= This is commander Thirteen to commander Dowding and captain Lohnen, I have just ledt the Tiger Shark, I am on my way, what is your status? =/^\=
=/^\= Roger that Thirteen, we're about to enter Qro'nos's atmosphere, we'll see you on the planet, Lohnen out. =/^\=
The slipjet sped on through space, and the planet became bigger as Thirteen closed in. Then the jet began to shiver, as Thirteen breached Qro'nos atmosphere. The ship bored on, and the shivering stopped abruptly. The ship came peering through the clouds, and beneath him the planet's surface stretched out. Thirteen had the computer detect the other slipjets, and initiated the landing sequence. The jet touched down gently, and Thirteen got out. Luke, J'Leera, Danny and a few marines were apparently discussing tactics, as they were still here.
"Ah Thirteen, you made it in time," J'Leera said. "I appear to have done so," Thirteen replied. "K'Vada will probably strike in the Klingon great hall, the most easy place to get to ambassador Miro," Danny said. "Will that not be under constant surveillance?" Thirteen asked. "Probably," Danny answered, "but he might as well rig the place." The officers nodded. "I suggest we check out the great hall," J'Leera said. "Good idea, but we need to make sure that we do not raise any suspicion," Luke said. The other officers agreed.
"You stay here, and make sure the slipjets aren't discovered," Danny ordered his marines, "we'll check out the great hall, and I'll contact you when your help is required." The marines nodded, and the four officers went on their way to the Klingon great hall.

Luke allowed his hands to glide over the console and smiled to himself, a real smile. Not a false smile that suggested a lie, the first real smile in a long time.
The slipjet burst through the atmosphere and Luke was amazed by the sight below him. He had never been to Qr'onos but made a mental note to himself to come back at a less critical time.
The slipjets descended and landed. The new stealth technology making it impossible for anyone to detect them unless they actually made visual contact with them. Luke and J'Leera climbed out of their craft and Luke patted the hull affectionately. Danny, Thirteen and the marines also exited their vessels.
After the marine detail had been assigned to protect the slipjets and the team had decided to head towards the great hall they broke into a jog. Luke leading the way, a greater sense of urgency weighing on his shoulders. Luke felt an importance about this Ambassador, not just because of her peace talks with Romulus but there was something deeper, something a whole lot bigger that he felt the crew of the Tiger Shark was wrapped up in. Something that every single crewmember of the Tiger Shark could not escape from, as if their destiny's were all linked together. Luke did not believe in destiny, he believed that every man made his own decisions and were accountable for them but he did believe that sometimes the universe had a plan that you cant and perhaps not always supposed to understand.
While Luke was thinking this they had managed to jog all the way over to the Great Hall. Luke looked up at the marvellous structure and was awe-struck. He shook himself. Sight-seeing another time.He muttered to himself.
A young Klingon girl approached the team of Starfleet officers as they approached the entrance.
"Look mother." She said in English. "There are more of the Starfleet."
The Klingon woman approached the team and nodded. "Welcome to the Great Hall of Qr'onos. Can I help you?"
"I heard your little girl say something about more Starfleet. Can you possibly tell me where the others went?" Luke asked, getting right to the point.
"I do not know what my daughter is talking about, she does have a vivid imagination however. Do you require a tour at all?"
"I think we can find our own way, but thank you none the less." Danny said.
The team walked through the Great Hall doors and stood in the entrance hall, amazed at the architecture. Flaming torches lit the corridor, magnifying the brutal yet beautiful architecture.
"I didn't trust that woman." Danny said.
Luke nodded. "She did seem to be hiding something. We need to keep on the look out at all times. And remember, stealth is the operative word here."
The group of officers decided to pan out but remain in constant communication with the other team members. K'Vada may of been there by himself or he may have acquired allies.
Luke walked down a dimly lit corridor, only one or two torches lit the entire stretch. He walked carefully, making sure not to trip. He also placed his hand on his phaser, not withdrawing it, but just in case.
"That is far enough Commander." A female voice said from behind him.
Luke sighed, he had walked into a trap.
"K'Vada said that you were persistent but he did not say you were foolish also. Drop the phaser you are bearing."
Luke did so, not saying a word. Hoping that someone was listening to the open comm.
"Now remove your comm badge and tread on it. No false moves, I have a weapon trained on you."
Luke did so again, but he allowed 5 seconds to pass, that would be enough for anyone listening to get a lock on his position.
"I wouldn't hold any hope if I were you." The woman said sneeringly. "There is a dampening field around this area, that is why I made sure at least one of you came down here, a bargaining tool."
Luke sighed, this did not look promising.
"Turn around and place your hands on the back of head." The woman ordered.
Luke slowly moved round, his hands now placed firmly on the back of his skull. It turned out that Danny was right, it was the Klingon woman they had met earlier.
"Now walk backwards." She said.
Luke did so, walking slowly as he did not want to fall. However that did not help as after about a minute of walking he fell to the floor, an uneven patch of floor knocking him off balancing.
The woman made her first mistake by walking up to the fallen officer.
"Get up, she spat."
Luke lifted his head and smiled mockingly.
"Get up!" She cried crouching down to lift him up. Her second mistake.
Luke grabbed the woman and pulled her down to the floor where he banged her on the head with his fist. Her body went limp but Luke felt a pulse still. He rolled the woman off of him and stood up, he removed the phaser from her and found a Klingon comms device. He patched into the Starfleet channel and spoke into the comm.
"Away team, Dowding here. We have a situation, meet me in the first antechamber off the entrance hall. We need to re-address the situation."
He pressed the badge again, closing the comm. He slung the Klingon woman over his shoulder and carried her through the corridor. He chose antechamber one because it did not require him to go through a crowded throng of people. He made sure the phaser was strapped to his belt and continued to his rendezvous point.

Luke arrived at the antechamber before any of others. He slumped the unconscious Klingon woman in a corner and began to pace.
Ten minutes past and still Luke heard nothing from the way team. He tapped his comm badge.
"Dowding to Laika, J'Leera are you there?"
There was no response.
"Dowding to Lohnen, Danny?"
Again no response.
"Dowding to Thirteen. Commander please respond."
Static filled the comm channel.
Luke tried the marines and then the Tiger Shark but still no one responded.
He turned to exit the room to see if it was just the room that was preventing him from getting a response. However just as he approached the door Luke heard a voice from behind him, he spun round but saw the Klingon was still unconscious in the corner. Luke put it down to mind games, it had been a long day.
He turned again as if to leave but this time he heard the voice again.
"Well done Commander." Said a deep male voice, it sounded as if it was coming from right behind him.
Luke spun round but saw no one.
"I am not here exactly, but you will soon see me."
Luke took a deep breath. "Who is this?"
A clapping filled the room. "Always the tactful Starfleet officer, getting straight to point." The mocked clapping continued. "Your Starfleet personnel file makes you appear slightly stockier. Ah well, you cant always expect people to live up to your expectations."
Luke frowned. It was someone who had access to secure files, that narrowed it down to just about everybody in Starfleet.
"Dont try and work out who I am Commander. We could be here for years..."
"What do you want?" Luke asked, it seemed like a stupid question but Luke's mind was churning out blanks.
This time laughter filled the room. "Again with the predictability of Starfleet!"
Luke rubbed his eyes and leant against the wall, his mind working at high speeds.
"Why dont you just leave Commander?" The voice asked sneeringly.
"Because I am sure some form of forcefield has been errected. Or there may be armed guards or you may do to me what you did to the rest of my crewmates."
"Oh bravo Commander, they do teach you something then?"
"Where is K'Vada, I assume you have something to do with him?"
"Oh no, we are not on the same mission, in fact it is rather fortunate that he chose now for his plan, it makes my life so much simpler."
"Then what do you want?!" Luke cried. He was getting frustrated now, the Ambassadors life hung in the balance, thats if they werent too late.
"I am done with you for now." The voice replied. "Just dont turn your back for a second Commander. You never know when I am behind you."
The door flickered which Luke assumed to be the forcefield deactivating. He turned round to see the Klingon womans body to be convulsing. She was twitching and her eyes were rolling in her sockets. Shorly after this had started it stopped. The woman was dead.
Luke left the room as fast as he could. He would figure all this out later. He had to find the Ambassador or K'Vada before it was too late.
He tapped his comm badge.
"Dowding to team. Respond away team!"
