--Well, i guess, this is where i will try and make an entry...what i got to loose? Read up on the mission, forgive me if i stuff up..---
ACting Ensign George Mann moved quickly towards the Engeineering decks. After being locked in his quarters for the whole mission cause he forgot his own secruity celrance, he headed straight for where the Admiral was.
'Admiral Elron, Acting Ensign George Mann, sorry i was locked in my quarters for..umm..till now..since we left...i was like...Hi!'
the Admiral glared at him
'Anyways, im here to assist....Lt...Canadian, go check on the scans...assist on the bridge, i will be able to assist here. Lt Max and Lt Label, stay here with us...as we may need your assistance.'
for some reason, Mr Mann felt weird giving orders to staff higher ranked than himself, after all, he hadnt attended the Academy and was only given an Acting Ensign role based purely on his Admiral recommendations...now was the time to prove himself.
'Dont worry Adrimal, Sir, you're are in...relativity safe hands...im sure we will be able to firgure who is behind the door...however, if we set our phasers to stun and burst in and just shoot everyone...no one will get hurt...'
The Admiral again glared at the young Ensign...
'Sorry, Sir, i guess, im too inexperianced...Well, when we get the intel back on who is in there, we shall work out other options'
Mr Mann remained quiet as the Admrial was pacing....than an idea stuck the young Ensign.
'What if we transported the EMH into Engineering? I know we have a food poisining outbreak, but there is nothing stopping the EMH being beamed in there, and beamed out...i mean, it would give us vital intel into the situtation in there...since they can get through the force field...its a long shot, but its and idea...'
The Admrial seem to ponder this idea....
--Well, thats my first post...lets see what happens....aye?---

OOC: Good start, Mr Mann. Let's see what happens next
IC:Admiral Elron was none too happy with his Security Officer so far. He knew he was only an Acting Ensign, but first impressions were important and this hadn't been a terribly good one. At least he seemed able to delegate tasks effectively. Elron paced back and forth while he tried to figure out the best way of communicating with whoever was inside Main Engineering. Mann suddenly lifted his gaze from the floor and looked at the Admiral, opening his mouth to speak. Elron was sorely tempted to stop him before he could begin, but decided to hear him out. "What if we transported the EMH into Engineering?" suggested the CTSO. "It's a long shot, but it's an idea..." He looked hopefully at his Command Officer. Elron stopped pacing. A level-8 force field prevented them from getting a transporter beam through to Engineering, but he'd forgotten that the majority of Main Engineering had been outfitted with holoemitters on one of their recent refits. It was true that they could afford to take Holi away from sickbay now that John was here to oversee things. More to the point, she might be their only available form of contact. The CO tapped his commbadge. "Elron to bridge, what's the status of the ship's holoemitter systems?"=/\= Sir? =/\= replied the puzzled ops officer. "Do we still have control of the ship's holoemitters or have those systems been rerouted to Engineering?" he asked with a sigh. There was a brief pause before the response, =/\= We still have full control, sir. I'm restricting all access to those systems to the bridge. =/\='Holi won't like that,' Elron thought. They had no choice though, and he knew she'd understand. It was better than risking her systems being controlled by the mysterious intruders. "Good work. Prepare to transfer Holi from Sickbay to Engineering. On my order only."=/\= Aye, sir. =/\=Elron tapped his commbadge again. "Elron to EMH. Holi, I have an assignment for you..."[TAG: Holi, Mann, Storey, etc]

- Well, lets have another crack shall we? -
George Mann waited outside with his Commanding officer. Lucky enough he had impressed him with an idea, but being locked in the quarters for 4 days? hopefully he will forget that...
after about 10 minutes, they got a report from Holi.
'There are 6 of our Engineering Personall in there, they seem to be fine, and 5 other officers who have taken over Engineering'
'Good work Holi...Can you get that door open?' Elron enquired, seeming quite concerned for the crew. It must be hard to be a commanding officer thought George to himself. Even being a department head was going to be a challenge..
'I'll Try' responded Holi.
'Maybe i can try to hack in...i used to hi-jack computers back in the day on the Starbase i stayed with my father...part of the reason why im here' George suggested. Elron looked at him. 'Im sure you will read my report when we are done here' George added. Elron was about to enquire more when George started working on the manual over-ride..
-Well, not too much...waiting on Holi i guess lol. Hmmm Shady past? Where do we post a Bio here? might give some insight into my character...Cheers!-

Holi was in sickbay attending to the poor officers that were still suffering from the recent epidemic of food poisoning. She hoped that John was managing to figure out some way of countering whatever contamination or infection was causing the problem. Much to her surprise, Admiral Elron contacted her over the comm system.
=/\= Elron to EMH. Holi, I have an assignment for you... =/\=
"You have an assignment for me?" she replied in a very surprised voice. "How can I help you, Elron?" Holi was the only member of the crew the Admiral would let away with using his name like this.
=/\= Someone's sealed themselves inside Main Engineering and we think it's those officers we brought on board from the runabout. They've erected a level-8 force field so we don't know who's in there or what they're doing. The holoemitters are still active though, so we want to send you in there to check things out for us and communicate with them if possible. =/\=
It was very rare for Holi to be involved in the action so closely. Despite her apprehension, she didn't hesitate in her response. "Of course. Just let me finish up here first and you can transfer my program to Engineering."
=/\= Thanks, Holi. Elron out. =/\=
She made sure everyone was comfortable, informed John and AJ about her impending departure, then contacted the bridge to let them know she was ready. Next thing she knew, she had materialised on the upper deck of Main Engineering, out of view in an alcove to one side. Keeping herself low to avoid being seen, she crept slowly forward in the hope of surveying the lower deck. To her relief, there didn't seem to be anyone on the upper deck just now. Below her she could see a few Starfleet officers, all in yellow uniforms, but she couldn't see their faces yet. She very carefully worked her way along the gantry, noting every detail she thought was relevent. By her count there were eleven officers in all. Five of them were from the runabout crew and armed with phaser rifles. Two of them were standing guard over the six engineering personnel huddled against a wall. The other three appeared to be trying to gain access to the Black Tulip's systems.
Worried about being spotted, she backed away from the edge and crawled into a small room set apart from the rest of the upper engineering deck. She contacted Elron to relay what she had seen.
"There are 6 of our engineering personnel in there, they seem to be fine, and 5 other officers who have taken over Engineering," she whispered.
=/\= Good work Holi... Can you get that door open? =/\= replied the Admiral.
"I'll try," she replied confidently. Closing the channel she rested her back against a diagnostic console and suddenly realised what that might actually involve. The doors were sealed by a security-prompted encryption lock-out that she wasn't authorised to over-ride. She would have to find some other way of by-passing the system, and that could only be done from the deck below. She tried to transfer herself to the lower deck using the holoprojection system, only to discover that access was restricted to bridge personnel only. 'Dammit,' she thought to herself. Reluctant to use the comm system again, she crawled over to one of the ladders and hoped that she wouldn't be seen.

Well, i'll try and keep this moving i guess :S
George tried to get the doors open...but failed.
'Well, Sir...guess we are shut out' George told the Admiral. The Admiral did not look impressed. Lt Max and Lt Label just stared at him.
'Wel is HE our chief Secruity officer? Lt Max mumbled to Lt Label but not loud enough for anyone to hear.
After a few more anxious minutes, the Engineering doors open slighty. Phaser rifles could be heard. Than a shout from Holi 'QUICKLY! the force field is down!' Without hesistation, Elron, Mr Mann and the two Lt's rushed to open the engineerings door...it was alot harder than was first thought. The doors felt heavy.
As soon as the door was open, a phaser fire fly straight between Mr Mann and Elron. There stood 2 of the officers that had taken control of engineering in a defensive position. Holi started flickering as one of the enemy officers disabled a holo emitter. Elron quickly tapped his comm badge 'Elron to the bridge...get Holi back to sickbay we have access to Engineering'.
As holi kept flickering, George, Elron and the two Lt's started to engage the enemy officers. Lt Label got stunned and fell to the ground. Finally Holi was transported to safety as Elron and George kept engaging in the fire fight....
--Well, umm...hope that gets people involved??---

John grumbled as Holi was transferred from sickbay to engineering, she was his EMH not a Security person, he needed her here, he would raise this issue with the Admiral later on.
John walked around sickbay, and into his office, he wrote a report to starfleet medical detailing what happened, and what he found out, so it could go onto the records as 'cured'. He sighed, he got on board and the first thing he done was argue with his chief conselor, he decided he should really apologise, he walked to the door and called him into his office. "Commander, please come in here" The commander nodded and made his way into the office, "Commander i wish to apologise for my rudeness as soon as i got on board, it was unprofessional of me, i hope that after this crisis is sorted, we can continue to work together?"

James snorted. "Rudeness has nothing to do with the ability to work together," he answered, "you were quite ready to use my underage daughter as a guinea pig when you had plenty of adults to test on. That is unforgivable."
Held his hand up, silencing the doctor before he could speak. "However, you found a cure and now the senior staff is getting better. Perhaps we could start over again and forget what happened." He held his hand out towards the doctor. "Aaron James Flanigan, ships counselor," he introduced himself, then nodded towards the sleeping girl. "My daughter Antoinette."

--Well, i guess i will try and push this mission along--
As Elron and Mr Mann engaged in the fire fight, Lt Max fell to the ground in pain after taking out on of the officers.
'Cover me' Elron said as he dashed to Lt Max side.
Mr Mann quickly produced a full spread of phaser fire, aimed at no one in particular to ensure the enemy officers didnt have a clear shot at the Admiral. He also took careful care not to take out one of the engineers.
Admit the spread, Elron made it safely to Lt Max and dragged the young officer behind a console. Ensign Mann saw another officer approach them and quickly managed to stun them before they could get to Elron.
'Thanks Ensign' Elron replied
'Just doing my job' Ensign Mann replied, as he looked up the three remaining officers started retreating back. He noted that one of them quickly grabbed a data pad from on of the consoles before using his phaser to destory that console.
Mr Mann started to get up and give chase when Phaser fire just missed him by millimetres. He quickly ducked behind a console waiting for an oppournity to take charge or at least get a good shot off...

James shook his head, casting the young doctor a bemused glance. "No, it was her fathers. And she had a twin sister who was also named after her father. Her twin's name was Jamey, her father's name Anthony."
*Let him chew on that one for a while* he thought as he glanced down at his still sleeping daughter, running a hand lovingly through her hair. "She's all that I've got doctor, so I hope you'll excuse my harsh treatment of you when you tried to use her as guinea pig. She's all I have left from her father too. She never knew her mother, the mother was a woman who just carried her to term. She has had two fathers all her life." James glanced up at the doctor to see his reaction, after he had remained silent for a very long time.
Would the doctor recoil in repulsion now, like many others had? Or would he just accept it as a given fact.

John took all this in, Antoinette was his adopted daughter and yet he treated her like his own flesh and blood.
This man was someone who really had a big heart, John smiled "Commander, that is the most respectful thing someone has ever told me, the way you act i guessed you were her biolgoical father, but i hold you in great esteem for that, you are a good father to her Commander, and i can't think of anything more honourable. I can understand your reaction, and once more i apologise profusely, but as you said it was in the past. My guess is that she has the best father anyone can ask for. Goddess bless you." John smiled and walked away to his other patients whilst fingering his necklace he always wore.
John removed his tricorder and scanned a few patients, how long till Holi came back ?
He sighed, he really wanted to get this crew back to full health.

Puzzled, James gazed after the retreating doctor then sprinted after him to catch up. "Where did you get the idea she's adopted?" he querried, his confusion still evident on his face, "I am her biological father. Surely your scans concluded that?"
Of course scans would conclude it, as they always had. "Antoinette has always had two biological fathers," he explained, "Anthony and I both fathered twins, the woman who carried them to term had no biological addition to it. As can be found in her medical record, if Starfleet ever thought to forward that to you."
Seeing Storey's puzzled glance, James frowned. "I see that they haven't. Well now you have it spelled out." He sighed miserably at his own words. "I'm sorry if I gave you he impression that she isn't my actual daughter, but she is and she's all I have. My parents fought for custody after Anthony died, so I don't live in good contact with them. Tony moves with me, wherever I get assigned."

Mr Mann waited behind the desk for what seemed an enterity, but in actual fact was 2-3 minutes. The Three remaining enemy officers had made it to the jefferies tube and started headed away from engineering. Mr Mann got out from behind the console once they stopped firing only to find them gone.
'What ever they wanted' Mr Mann commented 'They seem to have got Admiral. They are heading up the jefferies tube, with a pad. However, they destoryed the console they were working on'
George walked over to the console, as did the Admiral once he made sure the Lt was ok.
'Looks like they locked us out of the controls here' Mr Mann said. 'We would have to manully repair this console before we could restore control of the ship to the bridge or the right departments'
Elron had a fraustrated look on his face, and wasnt too pleased with the overall situation of what was happening here. 'They took a Engineering padd correct?' Elron Asked
'Correct Sir' the young Ensign replied.
'Very well, they headed towards the Jeffery Tubes...what could they possibly want? And where are they going? That would leave them more exposed to capture' Elron commented.
'Maybe they are trying to get off this ship. Cut their losses and run' Mr Mann replied.
Elron looked at the young Ensign. There were only three ways off a vessel. The Shuttlebay, Transporters...or Airlocks. 'The Airlocks. They would have to get spacesuits. Thats only 3 decks above us. Than they would be able to locate the nearest airlock. Since the shields are still up, it would be the only way to beam off...there has to be a ship coming for them' Elron specutlated.
'Or they could have the shuttle crafts' Mr Mann replied. 'However, that would leave them exposed to a fire fight. I suggest we post secruity at the shuttle bays just in case.' The Admiral nodded and Mr Mann hitting his comm badge told two officers to watch the shuttle bay.
'In the Meantime ensign, i say we give pursuit to those criminals' Elron said as the two of them started heading towards the jeffeires tube to give chase towards the criminals which took over the ship....

John's brain slowed "oh i do apologise, the way you said it made it sound like she was adopted, maybe I just confused and got the wrong end of the stick, gods i seem to be making a right muck up of my first assignment back don't i ?" John giggled nervously "once more i do apologise, anyway .." John stopped mid sentance as Holi appeared "about bloody time, what were ... on second thoughts don't tell me ... let's save the crew!"
John and holi approached Atoinette and injected her with the cure, John then tapped his combadge
=/\="Doctor to Admiral Elron"=/\= =/\=Go ahead=/\= =/\="I've got the cure for the crew, i will go around and adminster the cure in a few hours, i must write a report, Storey out"=/\=
"Holi please synthesis enough of the treatment for the crew i need to make a report."
John nodded to the commander on his way into the office. "Commander"

The hostaged engineering officers had attempted to take shelter behind a console during the fire-fight, and were only now starting to emerge. Elron barely had time to give them a cursory look over for now, but he was confident that Holi's assessment was correct and that none of them were hurt. She could tell far more than he could, thanks to her ties with the ship's internal sensors. The engineers slowly started to stand up once they realised that the area was secure again.
Between the two of them, Admiral Elron and Ensign Mann had narrowed down the possible escape routes and decided that armed guard should be placed in the shuttle bays and nearby transporter rooms. If, as Elron suspected, they were more likely to head for the airlocks just three decks above, Elron and Mann would need to move fast to catch up with them. As the CTSO issued orders to those of his security team not lying in sickbay, Dr Storey contacted Elron.
=/\= Doctor to Admiral Elron. =/\= "Go ahead," the CO responded. =/\= I've got the cure for the crew; I will go around and adminster the cure in a few hours. =/\= "Excellent news," replied Elron with relief. "Prepare to receive a few officers from engineering for brief medical reviews, and pass on my thanks to Holi. I'll speak to her myself later." Storey's shoulders sagged and he sighed. Would the patient numbers never decrease?! =/\= Understood. I must write a report. Storey out. =/\=
Elron then addressed the engineers. "Get yourselves checked out in sickbay then get your asses back here to fix that console. I want complete control of this ship within the hour."
Exchanging a brief look of determined resolve, Elron and George jogged over to the Jefferies tubes access hatch. As the Admiral stood with his back to the wall, Ensign Mann darted his head quickly into the open hatch and back again. He nodded at Elron to indicate the coast was clear, then crawled along the Jeffries tube to the next doorway. Carefully opening it, he saw that the door to an upwards-leading tube was open. As he approached, there were two phaser shots from above just before the doors closed. By the time George had cautiously reopened the door, the tube was empty.
They met no further resistance until they had gone up two decks and reached a major junction at the end of a horizontal tube. Pressing himself as tightly as possible against the bulkhead, George opened the junction hatch and shielded his eyes as a phaser blast sent sparks flying. With no hesitation, he fired a few shots back to where he thought the first ones came from. Elron crawled along the tube behind him and pressed himself up against the opposite bulkhead. It was difficult to provide cover for such a small exit, but Mann threw himself through the hatch as quickly as he could while Elron fired off a few rounds of covering shots.
The CTSO was then in a much better position to give Elron cover as he too entered the junction crawlway. There were no further phaser shots and the pursued officers seemed to have moved on. "What was on that PADD?" wondered Elron aloud as he paused for breath. Just then, there was a communication from the bridge.
=/\= Bridge to Elron, there's been an unauthorised entry to the Captain's Yacht docking station. =/\= "The Socrates?" asked the confused Admiral, referring to his private yacht. "But that's down on Deck 14." He looked over to his CTSO. "We've been had, sir," said Mann angrily. "They must have sent someone up here to divert us." "If they've managed to over-ride the access systems, we'll never get there in time to stop them launching..."

Up in the main sickbay on Deck 7, Holi was systematically treating the afflicted crew members with encouraging results. The first officers she treated were Commander Disasterman and Chief Science Officer Commander Hancock. Lying on his back, Hancock didn't notice any immediate difference in his symptoms. After a few minutes though, the stomach cramps that had kept him bed-ridden gradually subsided and his head felt clearer and lighter. Within ten minutes, he felt brave enough to sit up and take in the scene around him. The sickbay was still packed to capacity, but others seemed to be experiencing the same relief that he felt and were looking much more relaxed.
"Just lie back and rest, guys," the charming EMH told her patients. "You should start to feel better soon, but it'll be quite a while yet before you're back to full health." "Can we get back to work soon?" asked Hancock. "I want to keep everyone in for observation while you get your strength back and we see whether you have any other reaction to the meds," Holi replied. "I'll try to get you released to quarters as soon as I can though. I know how horrible it is to be stuck in here for too long." She smiled reassuringly.
Meanwhile, somewhere between decks 9 and 10, Elron and Mann were making their way for the nearest Jefferies tube exit hatch. "Can you stop them from launching the yacht?" Elron asked the bridge officers as he crawled. =/\= Security teams are on their way, but we can't do anything to stop them remotely. They've managed to take complete control of the docking systems. =/\= "Are tractor beams ready to catch them once they launch?" =/\= Aye, sir. They won't be able to get far. =/\= "Well at least that's s...." The Admiral didn't finish his sentence though.
"What was that, sir?" asked George as they reached the end of the tube. He turned to look at his CO, but there was no sign of the Avari behind him. "Admiral? Elron?" The Ensign clambered out of the Jefferies tube system on Deck 10 and tapped his commbadge. "Computer, locate Admiral Elron." 'Admiral Elron is onboard the Captain's Yacht,' the computer replied matter-of-factly. "What?!"
On the bridge, confusion and chaos were starting to break out. "The Socrates is launching from its docking port, but I can't get a tractor lock...." reported the conn officer in a panicked tone. "Why not?" demanded the senior bridge officer, who happened to be an operations officer in charge for the moment. "I don't know. It looks like they've somehow managed to scramble the targetting sensors so that they won't lock on to the yacht..." "Target phasers," ordered the ops officer hurriedly. "I'm having the same trouble. I can't get a targetting lock on the Socrates," responded the tactical officer.
=/\= Mann to the bridge, it seems Admiral Elron has been transported to the Captain's Yacht. What's going on? =/\= the CTSO asked over the comm system.
"Confirmed," chipped in the tactical officer, "Elron's on the Socrates, and she's heading off to starboard." "Well that ship's got a maximum speed of Warp 5.5. Don't let it get away!" the relief ops officer ordered.

Unable to risk firing on the yacht with the Admiral aboard until the targeting sensors had been repaired, the Black Tulip kept pace with the Socrates and attempted to hail its crew.
In the main flight cabin of the yacht, one of the renegade officers downloaded information from the PADD they had carried to the craft's computer. His hands moved quickly and expertly across the panel as he prepared to transmit the necessary signal.
In Main Engineering, a team of technicians were working to repair the damaged console. It was a job that could take them several hours, and they didn't know how much time they had available. Two crewmen were checking the other engineering systems for signs of damage or sabotage.
Suddenly, there was a tremendous explosion that threw debris across the length of Main Engineering and forced the engineering teams to duck for cover. Klaxons wailed and emergency fail-safes activated automatically as super-heated gases vented into the room. The engineering teams quickly evacuated and forcefields engaged behind them along the way. The huge blast doors came down and sealed themselves, locking the crew out of Engineering once again. They could do nothing but stare at the doors separating them from the violence inside.
Out in space, the Tulip dropped out of warp and slowed to sublight speeds with just a little turbulence. =/\= What was that?! =/\= Mann asked the bridge over the comm system in an alarmed voice. "It looks like they planted an explosive device before they left. They've knocked out our propulsion systems. We don't know how serious the damage is yet." =/\= The Admiral? =/\= "Looks like the Socrates is heading back to the dense asteroid formation in Sector 229. We can follow their course for now, but eventually we're going to lose them in the interference."
The crew of the Black Tulip could do nothing as their Commanding Officer sped off into the distance, held captive on his own private yacht.

John walked straight to the turbolift and said "Bridge". The ''lift sped towards it's location and whilst it did so john tapped his combadge once more =/\="Ensign Mann, please report to the bridge"=/\= =/\=On my way=/\=
When the 'lift stopped John, stepped out and suddenly the whole ship was rocked by an explosion. The ship dropped out of warp, and John grabbed a hold of a barrier to stop himself falling.
John heard Ensign Mann's voice over the comm system =/\=What was that?=/\= He heard a bridge officer say "It looks like they planted an explosive device before they left. John turned to the bridge officers and asked "Is there anyway we can vent engineering from here ?" "yes sir" "Do it, then someone get to engineering and help Ensign Mann down there, i want those propulsion systems back online ASAP, oh and someone tell me the status of the admiral !" "The admiral is still on the socrates and they are heading towards sector 229 at warp 5.5, they will arrive in approximately 3 hours" "Right, i want both warp engines back online within one hour, no excuses. oh and folow that ship at full impulse"
They crew still stood in their spots, "Well ? Go !"

The commotion on the bridge was a bit abnormal as Jamey entered from the back of the bridge. He saw a Lieutenant Commander talking with the other bridge crew giving orders; and he was in blue. This was somewhat strange Jamey thought as he walked over to the CONN to read the bridge logs. He noticed that the ship was adrift and propulsion systems were down. He sat that behind the console and restarted the RCS system using backup generators from locations of the ship that were not in direct stress from the latest events.
Checking the tactical read-out, he noticed the Socrates heading to-wards sector 229 at a speed of warp 5.5. The ship was no longer transmitting its identification and only appeared as a shuttle. He only surmised that the occupants had turned off its transponder to hide there escape.
The ship was listing to its port side as the venting of the Engineering room started. Correcting, he used the starboard thrusters to compensate and aft thrusters to level the ship on its normal axis. Checking the RCS control programs, he activated the automation mode and stood to approach the lieutenant Commander.
Walking up to the lieutenant Commander after the crew departed with their orders, Jamey recognized him from a message as being the ship's CMO. He remembered that he had yet to report to sickbay for a check up. "Commander Gaz reporting sir, I have read the bridge reports and understand that the Admiral has been captured and the Socrates has been commandeered." Respecting the officer in charge despite the rank Jamey added, "Where is the most help needed, sir?"

John look and smiled and offered his hand "Greetings Commander, well you're help at the Conn will be much appreciated but i can't help but feel that we've both been thrown in at the deep end as, i too, have just got on board, but we'll cope eh ?"
John looked around "i know it's strange, my being only a Lieutenant Commander and all, but heh, sheep happen and all that, oh and when we get things back to normality, whatever that is on this sip, do come to sickbay for your physical, oh and any questions?"

Jamey wasn't aware of the Doc being new to the crew as well, however the situation warranted all the small talk to be saved for later. "Yes, I guess it has been awhile from my last check-up ... well, tell me when normal gets to be normal and I will be the next face you see in sickbay." Jamey said with a smirk.
"...oh, and do you have any questions?", asked the Doctor.
"No questions ... but I do think we need to get this ship some type of propulsion. If its all the same to you, I'll go down to Engineering to see if I can lend a hand."
Leaving the Doctor, after a few more words, Jamey found his way to the Engineering deck. The corridors were busy with every-type of officer and crewman running here to there working to try and get the ship back up to speed. He had found one group of people hovering over a crewman who had been injured by an EPS eruption. No doubt caused by the explosion in Engineering. He stopped only for a moment to make sure the situation was under-control and he was off again to Main Engineering. There he found Ensign Mann working some controls outside of the blast doors. "Ensign, Commander Gaz I'm the new Chief Nav Officer ... is there anything I can help you with?"

James waited patiently for the doctor to finish his conversations with the newcomers, then walked up to him. "Doctor, if you need help in administering the cure to the entire crew, I offer you my assistance. I would need to schedule appointments with any of the infected crewmembers. As you were not infected, you are excluded from these evaluations, however you are still required your periodic evaluation."
He cast the chief medical officer a lopsided grin. "You seem to be quite adept at evading them at every convenience. If that is all however, I would like to return to the bridge and resume my duties. I think though, that for now Tony is better off here in sickbay. Promise you'll look after her while I'm on duty?"
(Storey)
"Thank you doctor. I will be off then, with enough cure to at least inoculate the people who are still on the bridge." After receiving the requested amount of medication, the counselor left sickbay and headed straight for the bridge. "Everyone form a straight line," he called upon entrance, "I need to inject everyone with a cure to the disease that has been plagueing this crew. Those who are injected may return to their duties."
He noticed the anxious look on Disasterman's face. He had known the first officer had returned to the bridge, but he was yet unaware of Elron's disappearance. "Commander, where is Admiral Elron? I need to inject him as well, but I seem to be unable to find him."
(Disasterman or anyone else on the bridge)

Q2 sighed as he read through the communiqué that had just come in from Command. His face flicked through a few expressions; confusion, exasperation, consternation, before finally settling on acceptance. It seemed that he was slowly turning into Starfleet’s jack of all trades. After joining the Vesuvius as Tactical and Security Officer, he’d then been shifted to the USS Olympia as Tactical Officer, and then Science Officer, before being asked to take on a number of missions as a Marine, and then instruct as a Marine in the academy. And now it seemed, he was going to become Counsellor on the Black Tulip.
He had to admit, the qualifications had built up over the years; and as an instructor, he had been required to take a number of courses in counselling to account for the possibility that the cadets he would be teaching would need help. Still, he’d never have predicted this would happen. He’d been picked up by the Black Tulip a few weeks ago, to drop him off later at a new assignment on Kappa Persei; it now seemed that he was no longer required on that mission; someone else had apparently been tasked to the job, and he was to take on this role instead.
It transpired that wasn’t the only message he had; there was also one that had been left the previous evening from Elron, welcoming him to the ship and roughly outlining some details about the role within the Black Tulip, and recommending that he speak to Cmdr Flanigan. Another, more recently had been sent by the first officer, Disasterman (an interesting name, Q2 mused). It laid out the status of the ship, what was happening and the problems they had, which included the absence of their CO.
With yet another sigh, Q2 stood up from his breakfast table and wandered over to his cupboard where he found only his marine uniform. With a small shrug, he put it on, figuring that right now there were more important things happening than him wearing the wrong uniform. A few minutes later, he arrived on the bridge.
“Commander Q2, reporting for duty as Counsellor.”
OOC: Not great, but I'm here at least!

James whirled around to face the newcomer; he'd just been about to speak to Disasterman about the medical situation that had plagued the ship. "Excuse me?" he spoke, "did you say counselor?"
Eyes wide in surprise, James Flanigan regarded the newcomer and sure as that, he was wearing a teal uniform and had the analysing apperance of a counselor. "Who are you?" he continued, as he walked up to Q2.
"I'm Commander Aaron James Flanigan, and I am assigned her as counseling officer, and I have had no notifcations of getting a collegue." James wondered if he should be insulted at getting help, or relieved. With so many people ill and frightened because of the failing replicators, and with himself having suffered that same illness, he was going to get really busy soon enough. Especially with Admiral Elron having been abducted aboard his own yacht.
He waited for the newcomer to respond and explain his presence, seeing that Disasterman too was waiting though the first officer had a bemused look on his face. "There has been an illness aboard," Flanigan finally relented, "I was stuck in sickbay for several days, both as patient and caring for my daughter. Perhaps I could show you to the office and your quarters?"

OOC: Was wearing a green marine uniform actually, but thats by the by Q2 frowned at the interesting greeting that he had received; indeed, his eyebrows furrowed deeper and deeper as the fellow, who turned out to be Commander Flanigan spoke. He pondered his answer for a few seconds, but before he had a chance to try and explain (though he would have had to admit that he was flabbergasted) the officer started speaking again, explaining about the illness, and then offering to show him to his office and quarters.
It took him a few seconds to realise that although he had been in quarters on the ship for the past while already, these were only guest quarters, and now that he had a permanent position, he would no longer be in such lush quarters, and would most likely be taking a step down to some slightly more spartan. By the time his brain had processed all of this, his feet had already allowed him to be led into the turbolift once more.
Once they were inside, he looked up at Commander Flanigan and tried to come up with some kind of excuse, but quite honestly he had no idea what to say. Truth be told, he was as confused as the officer in front of him. He didn't know why he'd been posted as Counsellor to a ship that already had one, he didn't even understand why he HAD been posted as Counsellor, what with his interesting history. He hedged for the truth right now.
"Look, I don't know why I've been posted here in this position. Most likely theres been some kind of mistake; I've never done this before, and quite honestly, I don't even want it. But for the moment, we'll just have to deal I guess. I don't want to infringe on what you're doing, so just give me some stuff to do, and I'll do it and let you get on with your job okay?" He hazarded a smile.
