History:
Gheskori was born into a particularly large extended family on Denobula. While still young, he was recruited into a scientific firm working on genetic engineering, an extensively and successfully utilised practice in Denobulan culture.
Ghes, as he is known to friends, remained in this job for many years, the long lifespan gifted to Denobulans giving him plenty of time. Eventually he joined Starfleet, after persuasion from friends and family. It was in fact something he had wanted to do for the last few years.

Background:
Gheskori's parents and their other husbands/wives come from scientific backgrounds, as many on Denobula are; so it was a natural discipline for Ghes to pursue. He is only the second in his immediate family to join Starfleet, his father's second wife's husband being the other.
Ghes is polygamous and gregarious as is common for Denobulans. He enjoys people's company but of course does not like to be touched, except by his wives of which he has two (so far). Note 2399: The second wife is recently deceased, dying of a rare illness.
