Welcome aboard the newly commissioned USS Vesuvius-B, an Intrepid class vessel. Please report in so I know who's available. If you've any desire to change positions do please let me know so we can make accommodations.
While I'm already thinking of a mission to get us started please don't hesitate to offer up ideas for submissions or future missions. I'm always open to suggestions. I'll set up our first thread over the next few days so we can write our arrival to our new ship. (and yes character families are welcome!)

Sitting in the transient officers quarters was getting too much for Traks. "I can't put this off forever; I guess fleet decided I need a Vulcan Commanding officer to keep an eye on me,{it's only logical} Shut up Larok, if I want anything out from you i'll ask you. It was bad enough not being able to save your life but then I agreed to carry your Katra back to Vulcan and climb that mountain and then wake up to find that the fal-tor-pan had failed because of too muck damage to your brain. I couldn't let them just put you in a jar or what ever they wanted to do with your Katra. But on the plus side I have someone to talk to even if some think I'm loony, and I can finally do that nerve pinch you taught me. Well time to go to the Vesuvius_B.....
Traks walked down to the docking port where the Vesuvius-B was docked, walking up to the Ensign on duty he snapped of a salute " Lt Colonel Traks reporting, permission to come aboard?
The Duty Ensign glanced at his pad and responded: "Granted sir your squad is on Holodeck 2 with the Gunny if you wish I can have one of them come and get you to show you around?"
Traks: " That will not be necessary I know my way around these ships and I need to check on somethings before I see the Admiral'. With that Traks entered the docking tube and his new home.

Leaving things behind
Lorna was sorry to be leaving the Victory behind but with that ship in for a long term refit it was onwards to pastures new. She and Cris had both been assigned to the new USS Vesuvius B and were currently entering there third hour of transit. They each had a bag with them and a crate of things had been shipped along as well. Lorna was actually surprised to find how much stuff they had accumulated that couldn't simply be replaced. Given that she'd left the Majesty with literally what she had been wearing when the evacuation call had come it was a surprise to find that three ships later she had stuff.
The Majesty had been destroyed, the Rainer had been decommissioned and now the Victory was gone too. She hadn't that long aboard the Victory but it had been home. Then again as a self-labelled Starfleet brat home was wherever she needed it to be. Once upon a time it had been wherever her parents were which had sometimes meant two places at once. Now though, it was wherever Cris was, which meant this shuttle was currently home, but it wouldn't be for much longer.
Of course, to be more specific, Cris was currently occupying Lorna's left shoulder as she dozed. Lorna stared at the PADD in her hands, she was actually reading a work of fiction at the moment although she did have the information on her new ship to hand as well. She didn't begrudge her wife the nap, yes, Lorna had worked hard organising the clearing of sickbay and the reassigning of her staff. Mari had gone off to Starfleet Medical to take her final exams and, assuming she passed, the was a slot on the Vesuvius for her too. Of course, while Lorna had been found that, Cris had been left to dismantle and pack up their quarters. Lorna knew which of the two jobs she would rather have had and that was why she was happy to be a pillow, at least for another hour or so. Cris would want to be awake when the shuttle docked.
Mentioned NPCs
Cris Lieder - 1/4 Romulan 3/4 Human, Female, Civilian Age 41 Dark brown hair and eyes Height: 160 cm (a bit shorter than Lorna)
Cris is a civilian (para)medic with a specialism is emergency medicine. She worked as part of an emergency rescue team for 10 years; she occasionally served on starfleet vessels and even more often worked alongside starfleet personnel. Before being assigned to the USS Majesty she worked aboard the SS Nightingale a dedicated rescue ship. She and Lorna have known each other for 20 years and have been married for over 5 years now. She and Lorna have served together since Lorna was on the Majesty. Aside from her medical training she is skilled hand to hand and lists her hobbies as having a laugh and having fun.
Maribelle (Mari) Tainer - Human, Female, Civilian Age 24 Shoulder length blonde hair, blue eyes Height: 156 cm
Mari was orphaned at 15 during the civil war on Terel Prime. She was rescued by the crew of the SS Nightingale and developed a serious case of hero worship. She was allowed to stay on the ship and help. She qualified as a nurse and was assigned to the Rainer and the Victory with Lorna. She is currently taking her final exams to qualify her an advanced nurse (Sister) and will he appearing on the Vesuvius soon
