Description:
The species as they are currently known to us takes the form of mechanical objects inhabiting artificially generated ion clouds, each sitting roughly at their storm's epicentre. There are dozens of these artificial ion storms dotting a border-zone just over 2 parsecs from the Starbase, understood to be sentinels of a sort guarding the species' domain.

The beings themselves have not been directly encountered, but transmit data to the machines that generate the ion storms, acting and speaking through the machines which are thus like remote-controlled vessels.

The language used by the ICEs in interaction with the Federation starship Enzio was a mixture of seven Alpha Quadrant species and had a structure similar to Traditional Golic Vulcan, this understood to be a means of aiding and giving the best chance for understanding. The entity refers to possible rivals and/or other species named 'Solipsists' and 'Nihilists', though this may be an error in translation and the result of the use of metaphors unrecognised by the translator.

Homeworld Location: HADAR SECTOR - Approximately fifty five LY from Starbase 47 current position.

Species Outline: The Werim are Humanoid, much like Humans originating from Earth. They are a warp-capable race, located in the Hadar Sector of this region of space. Currently in conflict with another race in their Sector of space (please see following entry) ... First contact was made when the USS Raven-C approached the region following contact with a deralict vessel.

The Werim are in an extended conflict with the Phorx-ku. On boarding the deralict, the crew were found to be deceased. First indications were that the crew had been attacked by animal-like beings. Bodies were gawed, half eaten, some almost completely. On further investigation, a body not related to the Werim was discovered, this too had been attacked but it appeared it had been attacked by it's own kind. This race was clearly not Werim !

After initial contact, the Raven began talks to postpone hostilities, but not before the ship was boarded by both races.

Homeworld Location: HADAR SECTOR - Approximately fifty five LY from Starbase 47 current position.

Species Outline: The Phorx-ku are mammillian, but have developed into a proficiant warp-capable race of beings ... Akin to a wolf or large dog, but capible of walking upright. Approximately one point eight meters in height, they have wolf-like features, with talons extending from muscular limbs. It is assumed that the univesal translators carried by Starfleet Personnel allowed verbal communication. Located in the Hadar Sector of this region of space. They are currently in conflict with another race (please see previous entry) ... First contact was made when the USS Raven-C approached the region and discovered a deralict vessel of then unknown origin.

The Phorx-ku are in an extended conflict with the humanoid Werim.

Homeworld Location: YATTHO SECTOR - Approximately Thirty LY from Starbase 47 current position, Fifty LY from Klingon Northern border (Following SB relocation to Beta Quadrant)

Species Outline: The Yattho are Humanoid race, pale skinned, blue eyes. They are a warp-capable race, located in the Yattho Sector of the region of space, close to where Starbase 47 emerged from the wormhole in the αCen Star System, located in the Delta Quadrant. First contact was made when the USS Raven-C encountered a then unknown race while scouting the αCen region.

The Yattho have yet to allow direct contact by the Federation, but it is thought they have already visited the Starbase 47.

Species Outline: The TKRRN are a Humanoid species, similar in body makeup to Humans. Having left their own region of space millennia ago, they are now a 'generational' race, approaching the outer regions of our known space. They are ruled by 'The Elite' a small group of TKRNN possessing a gene giving them the unique ability to shapeshift... First believed contact was made when the species arrived in the Yattho Region of space intending to find a location suitable for the settlement of the remaining members of their race, currently en route on the last generational vessel.

* The TKRNN ELITE: (Changelings), are trying to instigate hostilities within the Federation, predominantly between the Klingon Empire and the Romulan Star Empire, in the presumed hope of diminishing both races to manageable numbers.
