Getting to know one another

I'm not sure if this is the correct thing to do, but i just wanted to get to know every one and what not, so if you dont want to post anything you dont have to.

Well, lets see, i'm 17, will be 18 Aug 31st, i will be a senior in high school. I'm joining the air force after high school, hopefully gonna be a pararescuer, meaning i would jump out of planes to find downed pilots, probably the hardest job to get in the AF, if i dont make i will be Secruity Forces, kinda like an MP, only i get to gaurd top secret stuff.

Right now, i'm single, but hoping to find someone close to home, home being Billings Montana. I have two brothers, both in the Army, my oldest is in Oklahoma, he's an MP. My middle brother is a calvary scout in Germany. He was supposed to get out this july, but the Army screwed stuff up, and he has to wait a year. Thhey both hae been over seas, both have gotten hurt, well kinda

My oldest brother's Humvee was hit by a bomb, or mine, or somthing, and rolled into a sewage ditch, he's alive and well, so dont worry about that. My middle brother's humvee was hit by an RPG (rocket propelled grenade) and a peice of Shrapnel hit him in his side, he got a purple heart for that. We're hoping he doesnt have to go back during his last year, cuase that would kinda stink alot.

I said the same thing to my older brother before he joined the Air Force and my younger brother when he was talking about joining the armed forces.

Go to COLLEGE, get a BA and if you want to join up go in as an Officer. The pay sucks for enlisted men, trust me myself and my brothes are all Militray brats. My father is a retried Marine after 20 years of service. Growing up he had1-2 part times jobs almost the entire time to support a family. Living through all that it just never seems worth it to enlist.

Another thing that sucks and it happens often is the recruiter tell you one thing and then such as job placement, but they dont ever tell you details like...oh if you pass a credit check to get secret or top secret clearance. My older brother didnt pass a credit check to get Top Secret clearance so he did not get the job he wanted. He found that out AFTER he graduated boot camp, he was then stationed at Canon AFB in Clovis New Mexico doing stuff he never wanted to do. He is now out of the service and glad.

But enough of my gruff about the Military. I might have a bad taste because of my childhood.

ok, about myself. I am 22 years old, I live and go to school in Santa Barbara, Ca. I am originally from Oceanside, Ca in North San Diego County. Military brat as I said earlier, and I attend Brooks Institute of Photography where I am ending my first year at the end of my next class.

Just a note to those of you who haven't joined the email list... please do. I've set all of you up on the mail list for the Hanson's crew and you just have to subscribe to be a part of it. Last I knew, only one cadet had joined the list.

We use the email list to discuss story developments, ask questions of your instructors and get to know one another. If you've completed your bio (which all of you will have to do before you graduate) we can post them over the email list. I like doing that so that everyone can find out more about your character.

As for getting to know YOU personally, this is a good idea to start a thread like this one!

Well, Kirk. i am planning on taking classes in the military, and then beomcing an officer, my dad was 20 years retired Air force, the AF will take care of any family i have for the rest of their lives, not just mine. beside while the Marines are sleeping bunk to bunk to bunk in an over heated storage unit, i get a 3 star hotel room with AC, cable, and roomservice

Most of my information can be found on the beforementioned thread, but I do have a little addition to it. As of next week I hope to have graduated university....and I am soooo having sleepless nights over it!

Well that is good news. Atleast you dont plan on staying a grunt forever. My dad actually told me about the great living conditions of Air Force guys back during Operation Desert Storm.

well i live in somerset tx im on ssi do to beging autistic you really got to love sonic boom hearing lol. i am rather smart in some areas but not so much in others i also have a learning disabilty. i can dance like usher an many others i speak japanese i have ideas that would blow your mind away i also really good with writing poetry an i can also do karate an cook like chief
an also read at young age in a college leval an also taught myself how to use the computer.
i also can do most of the vocie off the xena warrior princess an i know all season an all what they said an done during show also i know there the cast birthdays an much more an i have a great imagenation.i am working on getting my education an hoping to make something myself if you all like advetures i can tell you so true stories about me an my advetures
hm' you know maybe thats why have a good imagenation.
