Realizing she is being let out, she sighs relief, and heads to sickbay. She sees other cadets and officers around, but decides she needs to get to sickbay, and quickly.
Once there, she knocks seeing the force field. She is let in at once and sees the captain strapped down. She whistles and tries to forget what Commander Hope did to her. Should she feel hurt? She wasn't certain exactly what had happened, and figured it best to act as if nothing had happened. She walks over and stands at attention near Commander Hope.
"So, commander, you summoned me. What is it you want me to do?" Joan says trying to get the commanders attention, as her eyes were closed.
S'reena sat with her eyes closed when she heard a female voice talking to her. She looked up and gazed at the younger woman. "I did not summon you cadet," she said softly, then waved her hand at Marcell. "I believe that you may be the only one who would be able to get through to him at present. I'd like you to try to reason with him. Enlist Ms Zoë if you can."
"I will try, but I don't know if he will listen to me. I don't really know why he was drunk." She says looking down at the commander.
"I do not know either. I thought I was having his best interest in mind when I ordered him to be taken to the brig to sleep it off." She looked down, avoiding Anderson's gaze. "I may have been wrong on that aspect, but it wasn't the firs time I've had to deal with him being either late, or drunk, or sleeping while on duty. I'm not sure if that brought him to defect either, but you have seen the result." Joan turns from the commander to the captain.
"Sir, Joan Anderson here. I would like to know what made you come onto duty drunk. Would you please tell me? I just want to understand here. I have had hard times in the past, but I never did anything to that extreme." She says, and then looks over at the commander.
S'reena nodded encouragingly, which action brought on a wave of nausea. She pressed a hand to her forehead, then gazed from Anderon to Marcell and back to Anderson. "Continue," she whispered, "it seems as though he's hearing too...keep talking." Joan nods, and then turns her attention back to the captain.
"When I was only six or seven, as I am not totally sure, my parents were killed by terrorist. I wanted to take revenge on them, but I decided to move on with my life. As I didn't have any other family, I spent the last nine or ten years in orphanages. It wasn't easy, but now I get to really live." She says hoping this is helping.
S'reena remembered hearing this story somewhere, but could not quite remember where again. It reminded her somewhat of her own youth, which despite having bot parents alive, hadn't been an easy one either. She hoped Marcell would be listening, but seemingly Anderson didn't quite hold his attention just yet, yet he appeared to be focusing his attention on anderson rather than herself right now. "Continue," S'reena whispered, "you're catching his attention."
"While I was in the orphanages, I had to be fitted into something. The clothes were either too big, or I didn't have enough learning. Sometimes there wasn't enough room in one, so I had to be sent to another that did have room, and that happened quite a lot. I never really had any friends, until now. I was the one always picked on, and even then it ended in fighting. No one wanted me, and now I feel as if I finally belong somewhere." She says, and Illito comes over.
"Commander Hope, you should be in bed. Go on." Illito says. S'reena waved the young doctor-to-be off, keeping her attention on Anderson and Marcell. She knew exactly how Anderson felt, and she hoped Marcell would relate to it too. Yet, the medical cadet was very persistant, and S'reena's anger flared. "Leave us cadet," she snapped, "we're trying to get the captain to respond. Either assist, or leave. I am well aware of where I should be and right now my place is with the captain. Ms Anderson, please continue, you've got his attention." ~and you've certainly got mine~
"I am not sure how to go on. I have no idea what he has been through. I remember though once I was placed in a foster home. I felt like I fit with them, but they proved me wrong. I wanted it to work, but they just wanted me for my strong back. I ended up running away, and being placed back in an orphanage. I was about twelve at the time." She says shaking her head chuckling.
S'reena felt amazed at how strong the young woman was, considering what she'd been through. She just hoped Marcell would find comfort in that. "I know how you feel," she told Anderson, "my youth hasn't been easy either. Imagine two Romulan youngsters - my brother and me - between humans. We were despised, shunned....." Again, Illito prodded her and told her she should go back to bed, and she sounded insistent. "I believe I told you to leave me alone," S'reena snapped.
<tag illito>
"Yes, well that is why I like Star Fleet. I am more free to go and experience things. Like this mission for example. I never knew anything about the borg, and now I have met some." She says smiling at the captain.
<tag captain>
"Illito, does she really have to go? I mean really she is in sickbay. Besides the captain is priority right now." She says not looking away from the captain hoping he will respond.

“I believe I told you to leave me alone,” S'reena snapped at Illito. Illito sighed. So, this wasn’t going to be easy, she hadn’t thought it would be.
“And I believe I told you that you had to rest. And I rather suspect that I am considerably less biased in this matter than you are.” Illito countered. She saw that Commander Hope seemed annoyed with her. Oh, well, those things happened.
“Illito, does she really have to go? I mean really she is in sickbay. Besides the captain is priority right now.” Anderson objected.
“No one is the priority. Commander Hope, however, is my priority. I believe Zoë and Anderson have Captain Marcell as their priority. I’m also positive that they will keep you updated on the Captain’s status, when such updates are deemed necessary,” Illito said, quickly hurrying S’reena toward a bed, but continuing to talk, trying to distract the Commander. “But your duty comes before your personal loyalty to the Captain, and your duty at this moment is to take care of yourself.”

Before she even realized it, S'reena had been pulled to her feet and was on her way being guided back to her own bed. THen she resolutely stopped walking and shook the medical cadet off. The Romulan understood that the medic had the best intentions, but she didn't agree with them.
"You're wrong there," she insisted, as she turned back towards Marcell, "the captain is my priority. My health comes second. Now, leave me alone..." She wondered if she could pull rank, now that her rank had been revoked. The computer had told her upon enquiry that she was stripped of all her command codes. "Don't make me pull rank on you cadet," she ordered, "I know very well what I can and cannot do in my current state of health."
Yet, as she said it she felt herself trembling, and could barely keep her own balance. She was determined though, to stay with the captain, and see him through his personal crisis.

“Don't make me pull rank on you cadet,” S’reena ordered, “I know very well what I can and cannot do in my current state of health.”
“Actually, you can’t pull rank on me. If it involves your health, I can remove you from duty. Except that seems to have already been taken care of.” Illito countered. “Commander Hope, I am ordering you to return to your bed and to rest. Just because Dr. Black is not on duty does NOT mean that your health is not important! I have ordered you to go to your bed, and I stand by that order,” Illito kept her voice at the same, level, tone. She knew that she was doing her duty, and her loyalty to the Commander was all that kept her from yelling at S’reena. Even though she was normally a calm and rational person.
“And, judging from your current insistence that you continue standing next to the Captain’s bed, even though you are practically falling over and he obviously doesn’t want you here, you don’t seem very capable at all of figuring out what you can do in your current state of health. I think,” by which Illito meant that she knew it. “I think,” Illito repeated, “that you should rest. And I know that I am correct in thinking what I do. That can only mean one thing.” Illito paused, not sure how much she wanted to push Commander Hope. Illito decided that she was going to push her quite a lot, because she thought it would be better if she pushed too much and distracted S’reena from the Captain’s situation. Rather than not pushing enough, and leaving S’reena in a position where she couldn’t do anything but make Anderson nervous and endanger her own health. But Illito decided to let S'reena figure out what she had been going to say on the Commander's own.

ooc: this may get you as char really angry now..... S'reena glared at the Cardassian medic. "Don't you tell me what to do Cardassian," she snapped, as rage erupted. She knew deep down though that the doctor was right...but she didn't want to face it. All she cared for right now, was Tony Marcell and his journey back to sanity. "My captain may not like my presence right now, but I am sure he will come to understand. So I am going to stay right there in that chair. I am tired of sleeping and just lying down." She continued to glare, and tried to focus at the medic before her. S'reena blinked a couple of times as there now appeared to be two medics standing before her. She reached for the bed for support, but missed and nearly toppled over. However, she managed to catch herself on the second attempt. "I am staying here," she repeated.

“Don't you tell me what to do Cardassian,” Commander Hope snapped.
“I think I will,” Illito replied. “It seems like more fun. Besides, it’s my duty.”
“It is my duty to insure that you rest and that you live. ‘Why’ you might ask, or you might not, I don’t plan on giving you that option. If you were going to ask, or if you weren’t, I will answer that question. Because I respect you. Because I trust you. And because I think you can lead the ship well. But I don’t think you can do it while wounded, tired and having just returned from the dead. Sometimes you have to pick your battles, Commander. And sometimes others pick your battles for you. I’m choosing for you not to fight this battle.” Illito half-smiled at the Commander, a disturbing sight for those who weren’t used to Cardassians' smiles.
“You are still on a critical path for recovery. If you don’t rest, your condition will worsen. I doubt you want to die, but you seem to insist on pursuing activities that could lead to your death. Then how could you serve your Captain? For that matter, how could you serve anyone?”
“If the Captain comes to understand why you are here, but you are dead, what good will that do? He may blame himself for your death, when all he should be blaming is your own stubborn Romulan insensibility.” Illito paused, and caught herself. “I’m sorry,” she apologized. “That was out of line.”
Illito shook her head slightly, before continuing her train of thought. “If the Captain blames himself,” Illito hissed, careful that only S’reena could hear her. “He will fall into a guilt spiral, and may do things he may later regret, such as drinking, or joining the Maquis.”
“If I want to physically move you, I could.” Illito said, returning her voice to its normal volume. “Do you have any idea how weak you are? You must, to some extent. I’m giving you a choice, but if I have to use force, I will.”

~she just might~ S'reena realized, yet she refused to budge. "It will not happen," she said, "I have plenty time to rest. By all means if you think you can move me...try, but I am not going anywhere. The captain will not feel guilty, for I was doing my duty. He would expect nothing less of me, whether he likes me at this present time, or not."
She shuddered at seeing the Cardassian smile. The last time she'd seen one doing that, was on the last mission. It wasn't a pleasant sight at that either. "I dare you," she told the other woman, as she crossed her arms before her chest, and winced as she did so. "Medics always think they know better.....I am feeling just fine, and I'm staying with Marcell. Sooner or later he'll wake up and he'll want a report on what's been going on, and I intend to be the one giving it to him."

“It will not happen,” Commander Hope said, “I have plenty time to rest.”
“Then I suggest you start doing so. And as to doing your duty, you can make any interpretation you want, but so can I. And, at this point, doing your duty does not require you to stay when you should rest. Some people,” Illito muttered to herself, remembering her brother, and remembering why he was still on Cardassia; because he had chosen to stay. “Some people think that doing their duty requires ignoring the people they love and who love them.” Realizing that she had spoken out loud, Illito glanced at S’reena hoping the commander hadn’t heard her.
“Medics always think they know better...” Commander Hope complained.
“That’s because they usually do know better. As in this circumstance. And no amount of your objecting will convince me. Now, if you struggle, I will ask one of the medics to help me, but otherwise I can do this alone. I’m sure that would be better for both of us,” Illito countered, moving towards S’reena, trying to be as non-threatening as possible.

Watching the encounter between Commander Hope and Illito was a little entertaining. She knew she should do something.
"Actually Illito, until the captain comes to I could use the commanders help. Besides I still agree with her. She has plenty of time to rest later. It is her choice, as she is the patient. Now commander, get in that bed! I will personally see to it that you end up there, and it won't be much fun to you. I grew up on Terra Nova, and I know a few things about getting people to do what you want them to do. My parent's, when alive, were experts, and have taught me a thing or two. Don't make me use that, or I promise you won't be happy." She says sternly, and Commander Hope scowls. Joan has been known to be stubborn, and when she puts her mind to it then she becomes persistent in attaining her goal. In this case it was subduing Illito and the commander at the same time.

“She may have plenty of time to rest later, but what will happen then? This is where I run into a problem. What if something important comes up? And now, this current situation is not important. Nobody’s dying, at least, not now,” not here, Illito mentally added, thinking of all the people on Cardassia who could be dying.
“And if you wish to bully me, don’t,” Illito continued talking to Anderson. “I won’t stand for being told what to do by a former Maquis member. And I don’t really care if you are going to claim that you were just doing the right thing and trying to ‘rescue’ Captain Marcell, because you seemed to fit in pretty well with the Maquis,” Illito pointed out, overriding both S’reena’s and Anderson’s objections.
“And actually, Cadet Anderson,” Illito stressed the formal tense, there was no way she was on a first-name basis with Anderson. She wasn’t sure she ever could be again. “I am in charge of Commander Hope’s health, and her health requires that she rest.”
Illito moved toward the Commander. “Don’t you ever listen to reason?” she asked. “Because I have been speaking reason. If you aren’t going to listen, then you will learn that reason has a mind of its own, and it tends to override petty objections and claims to duty.”

"Well, I see how things are now. Fine, then. I was just trying to help out, but I see when I am not wanted. I see you have a hearing problem though. I did just tell the commander to get into bed, or she would be there by my hand. So in a way I do side with you, Cadet Tintagel." She says realizing she isn't helping, and returns to the captain's side to make sure things are going good there, deciding to let the two duke it out by themselves.

“The way that you side with me isn’t siding with me,” Illito muttered at Anderson's back. “It’s agreeing with what I’m doing, but not that I have the right to do it. It's ridiculous,” Illito continued in an undertone, which should be barely loud enough for Anderson to make out that Illito was saying something, and her tone, but not the actual words.
“But I don't think that I wish particularly to argue with you. Because the point in disagreeing and arguing about opinions is that the other person has a viewpoint that might prove to be of interest. I really don’t think that that seems to be the case,” Illito continued, slightly louder. Because, despite what she had said, she did want an argument. Partly because she wanted to hear what Anderson had to say, and partly because she didn’t want to fight with Commander Hope, and she couldn’t argue with the Captain, he was sleeping. Even if he really was the one who Illito disagreed the most with. Illito just couldn’t see how he could turn his back on Starfleet. Especially since all her life she had heard that the ‘most moral people’ were in Starfleet.
“Honestly, Anderson, I don’t trust you,” Illito said, her voice could now be easily heard. “I believe the Romulans have a saying ‘Judge a man by the people he impersonates.’ If I even look at who you have attempted to be... A Maquis member, a betrayer of your people.” Illito shook her head. “I don’t like people who betray, or pretend to betray, those who they claim to care about, or, worse, actually do care about.”
“Commander, I promise, on,” Illito briefly considered promising on the state of Cardassia, or her honor, but decided that she could swear on something that actually meant something to her. “I promise on whatever it is that I hold most dear that I will wake you up when the Captain awakes, or if he even begins to stir. I know you would probably prefer if I could guarantee something more solid, but I can’t think of anything that matters to me that much. And I’m sure that Cadet Anderson will be happy to remind me if I should somehow forget to wake you. But I won’t,” Illito continued with conviction.

"I may have been playing turncoat, but that doesn't mean I am one. I had a goal, and knew what I must do to achieve it. I would do almost anything to get part of my new family back. I believe I showed that in what has recently happened. I don't know why, but I believe you want to fight with me." Joan says looking at her directly in the eye daring her to do so.

“Your new family?” Illito felt like laughing. She didn’t though. She simply smiled again. “You’ve played the turncoat so much. First you were on our side, then you went over to the Maquis when we were on the planet, then you came back on Starfleet’s side and on the ship, then you defected to the Maquis again and joined their ship. And you wonder why I don’t trust you! I must admit, I am confused. I would think it would be fairly obvious that there are other ways to get what you want than turning your back, even temporarily, on the people you claim as your family.”

"Well the concept of a family is foreign to me. I never really had one. I wish I did though. I will probably make a few mistakes along the way as I learn what a family really is, and what they do for each other. I grew up in an orphanage, and I know that isn't an excuse. In my case it is just an explanation. Why do you like to argue?" She says not wanting to look her in the eye, as she feels a little guilty.

“The concept of a family is foreign to you? So you think it’s okay to betray them?” Illito sighed, then decided to answer Anderson’s question. “I argue because, if both people have something worthwhile to say, it can be a good chance for communication. Rather than me bottling up these issues and ignoring you, I decide to give you a chance to explain them. That way, even if we can’t solve them, we both still know about them.”
Illito didn’t give the other reason why she was arguing. She, too, had thought that the crew might be a new family, but she had since decided that would never happen. They couldn’t replace her brother. The real problem was, Illito didn’t even know if her brother was still alive. If he wasn't, she didn’t have anyone left in her life. At least, not anyone she cared about. So she wanted to take her mind off of her worry and her apprehension. The best way to do that, at least right now, seemed to be to argue with Anderson.

S'reena watched the exchange between Anderson and Tintagel with interest, as they seemed to have forgotten about her. "This is not just a matter of honour," she suddenly spoke up, startling the both of them, "for me, this is mnei'sahe." She didn't miss the confused look on the faces of both women. "It isn't easy to explain," she continued, "it is honour, but more..."
In return, she merely got a stern glance from the younger women, and she was reminded of the physical threat if she didn't get into her own bed. Yet, her primary concern was still Marcell. Both women advanced on her, and she scowled again. "Very well, on your personal honour then," she relented, "wake me when Marcell wakes up."
With that she allowed the Cardassian cadet to aid her to her own bed, as she would most likely not even have made it on her own. She felt the hiss of a hypospray against her throat. "What...." she started, but the effect was almost immediate and she fell asleep.
Not long after that, Michael returned to sickbay, Kahlan holding his hand, while Yarna sat on his arm. "Everything all right in here?" he asked innocently, as he found both cadets glaring at one another.
"Mama mama!" Kahlan cried as she raced towards her mother. The life signs were dangerously low, Michael noted and he gazed at Illito in alarm. "What happened?" He listenened to the medical cadet's explanation and nodded. "Yes that sounds like S'reena all right. You handled it very nicely." He patted the Cardassian on the shoulder in appreciation. "Honour is everything to her," he explained, as he showed her the Honour Blade.
"Her father gave this to her, it had belonged to his own father. She received it after she selflessly saved a group of older children that had constantly bullied her throughout primary school. That earned her the right to carry this blade according to Romulan law." He set Yarna on the ground, and the girl ran off towards Marcells bed.
"Up," the little girl demanded from Anderson, pointing to the bed Marcell was occupying. Anderson obliged, and put her onto the bed, upon which the little girl sat on Marcells chest, caressing the ridges on his forehead. "Vadi!" she called, using the Romulan word for uncle.
Marcell woke up with a snarl, but it didn't put the toddler off in the slightest, and imitated his snarl almost to perfection. "Vadi," she babbled again, planting a wet kiss on his cheek, then looked questioningly at the restraints. Her vocabulary didn't yet reach so far that she could ask about it. "Daddy?" she called, pointing at the restraints.
She saw her father shake his head, then turned back to Marcell. "awake?" she finally asked.
From the distance, Michael watched the exchange, then beckoned Anderson. "How's he progressing?" he asked, "you seem to have done very well in telling him about your history. That's very courageous of you, young lady. Don't let anyone tell you that it isn't." He paused then smiled as he observed the exchange between the Klingon captain, who was still strapped down, and his one-year old daughter. "Will you look at that, she isn't the least bit intimidated by her godfather."

Ens. Turner(npc) turned to Blayne.
"Sir, Engineering reports all is well in Main engineering, the staff is now awake and the Maquis are in custody. We now have main power to Immulse engines to get us out of this electrical storms, and they request we hurry, for the storm is damaging systems faster than we can keep up."
Gary keyed in a course that would take them to the opposite side of the storm from the maquis. "at you discression, sir, I've layed in course 38-47 mark 12."

"I agree with your thinking. I don't really know how it is suppose to work with a family. I didn't really betray you, and I ended up with a mark on my record. Is this how sisters act?" Joan says first to Cadet Tintagel and then looked around for an answer.
She was beconded over by Doctor Hope. "How's he progressing?" he asked, "you seem to have done very well in telling him about your history. That's very courageous of you, young lady. She excuses herself, and walks back over to watch the exchange more closely, just in case the little girl might need help.

“I don’t know how sisters behave. I may be one, but I’ve never been a very good judge of my own character. My brother might say that I’m a pest, so maybe this is how sisters behave.” Illito shrugged, she had no idea how to answer Anderson’s question.
Illito couldn’t tell if Anderson was satisfied with her answer or not, because she went over by the Captain’s bed.
Illito glanced at the now-awake Captain, then at Commander Hope. S’reena could use the rest, but she didn’t need it desperately anymore. And Illito had promised.
Illito moved slowly toward S’reena. When she reached the bed she decided to wake S’reena up without injecting her with anything, it seemed to Illito that too many artificial agents could be a bad thing. “Commander Hope,” she said, hoping to wake up the Romulan commander.
S’reena opened her eyes, starting slowly, but snapping them all the way open when she realized the conditions under which she had been put to sleep. Illito could tell that S’reena was about to talk, but the Cadet cut off S’reena. “Captain Marcell is awake. Your daughter is currently talking to him, but I’m sure that you could take over, if you wish.”
S’reena glanced at Illito, questioning. “He hasn’t been awake long. If you wish, I would be happy to help you to his bed.”

A roar of indignity escaped Tony's mouth as his arms and legs were all clamped to the bed. He continued to shout and protest but desisted his struggling once his voice had gone hoarse. He had begun to occupy his minds with ways of escaping when he was ambushed by Anderson and S'reena.
He scowled at them both, but instead of backing away they started talking to him! His mind was to busy to interpret the words but he began wondering if they were going to give him an anti-depressant. It would be helpful.... it could allow him to sleep....
Fairly soon it became clear they weren't going to give him any and, with the scowl back on his face, turned his head away from them. Within moments the cardassian cadet which had been interrepting the stream of natter finally was able to pull them away and leave him to concentrate on the voices who were actually making sense to him- the ones in his head.
Tony's mind had wandered from escape to the many different ways he could kill S'reena when the woman's eldest daughter crawled onto his chest. She was but a toddler. He exposed his teeth and snarled at her, hoping to scare her away, but she was not deterred- in fact she snarled right back at him as if it was a silly face.
"Romulan children..." He thought bitterly, before giving a loud roar that echoed about the room. Then seeing as the child wasn't soon to leave voluntarely, he closed his eyes and continued his previous train of thought as the S'reena approuched the side of his bed.

Realizing the child is in no danger, she sees Zoe not too far away. She ignores Illito's last comment, and heads over to Zoe.
"Hey, Zoe, um, what can we do to get through to the captain. He doesn't seem to be responding to anything I said, and the little girl isn't getting through to him. What do we do?" She says looking for some answers, and hoping to help.
She realizes she forgot about Illito and their conversation. She and Zoe both walk over to assess the situation. So far, nothing seemed to be working. Was there any way to get through to the captain?
"Sorry, Cadet Tintagel, I didn't mean to ignore your last statement. I am not sure any more than you are, but that wasn't directed at you. I was hoping someone else could tell me from their experiences. I think we have that going, and I know you don't trust me. I did what I did, and I was just trying to help. I don't know what I can do now, but please tell me how I can resolve this trust issue." She says getting tired of arguing with the woman. It wasn't going to be easy, and she was sure the cadet would make it even harder on her, but she wanted to make things right between them.

<starting somewhat before Illito's post, ending after. Tony, Yarna would be her youngest child;)>
S'reena was dreaming, and not a good dream at that.
She stood before the cell, her Honor Blade at the ready. The captain had dishonoured her, and his crew and she was going to fight him over it. On the other side of the forcefield, Marcell stood at ready, his mek'leth in hand, ready to strike on the second the forcefield went down.
S'reena nodded towards the guard who, under protest, lowered the forcefield. She deftly parried the first strike, as Marcell's movements were still influenced by alcohol. They parried for a few minutes when S'reena saw an opening, and thrust her blade forward. The captain fell back, and pinkish-red blood started flowing onto the deck.
"No!" S'reena cried, thrashing in her bed. She was oblivious to Michael sitting beside her, trying to calm her (while Illito was tending to other patients, and arguing with Anderson). "No no, I didn't kill him!"
Michael ran his hand through her hair. "Shh," he said, "calm now you didn't kill anyone." At long last, she seemed to calm down. Somewhat later, the paediatrician looked up to find Illito stand beside the bed, and wake S'reena up.
The Romulan first officer opened her eyes, then nodded at the offer to be assisted towards the captain. She gasped when she saw Yarna sitting on his chest, giggling as she returned the growls and roars the captain was uttering.
"Captain...." she started as she, assisted by Illito, leaned over him and pressed a hand in his shoulder, "captain...I am sorry." She looked at the young doctor beside her. "Please remove the restraints, a forcefield will do." Reluctantly, the cadet obliged. "He will not hurt his goddaughter," S'reena insisted, "and he has ground reasons to go for me. Let him if he does."
S'reena wasn't planning on going to defend herself, both of them were weak, though she was the weaker party. If there was honour left in him, he wouldn't attack her if only because she was weak. What honour was there in attacking the weak? Silently, she waited for Marcell to respond.

“I don’t know how you can resolve this trust issue.” Illito responded to Anderson. “I would be fine just leaving it at the fact that I don’t trust you, but for some reason, you don’t seem to be OK with that.” Illito shrugged. “That being said, I don’t know what you could do. But perhaps we should talk about this some other time,” Illito said, trying to assist Commander Hope to Captain Marcell’s bed.
“Captain....” Commander Hope said, pressing a hand on Marcell’s shoulder. “captain...I am sorry.” S’reena turned to address Illito. “Please remove the restraints, a forcefield will do.” Illito looked at the determination in Commander Hope’s face, and did it.
Illito watched, worried for Commander S’reena. The commander seemed to be gambling, and the probability of her winning seemed, at least to Illito, to be fairly low. But then again, Illito didn’t know very much about gambling.
