“I just realized you never introduced yourself cadet.” Lt. Anders said.
“I’m Shikako Kedzie. Because I’m Bajoran, Shikako is my family name,” Kedzie explained, not sure if Lt. Anders would know that or not, but she decided to say it just in case.
When they were finished, but a little before Sickbay responded to Ander's query, Kedzie asked Lt. Anders a question. “What if we have fixed sickbay’s problem? Undoubtedly there will still be work to do, I’m just curious what system we will try to cover next,” Kedzie said, hoping that Lt. Anders wouldn’t mistake her curiosity for impatience to be done with the work.

He knew of the Bajoran names a little, and smiled when she mentions that.
"Well cadet, that depends on what they want from us. Sickbay might be done with us, but now we have to report to engineering to see what's up." He says as they walk on toward engineering. They just walked into engineering to see where they are needed. He walks over to find the female they heard over the commlink, but she is nowhere in sight. He checks a console, and finds several of the systems need to be worked on still.
"Okay cadet, we have to help purge this ship now. Not the most fun work, but it will help. You take that console here beside me. I will show u what to do, and then u just pick a system and purge it." He says showing her how to start it. It doesn't take long, and he picks another system to purge. He realizes these systems should have been purged awhile ago, but it seems only one person was purging systems.

Leena started to talk to Joan, but Matt figured out that something was wrong.
"Whats wrong Leena?" Matt asked.
"Joan I can't find her," Leena responded and ran out of the Aerowing. Matt hoped that Leena would find Joan okay. Matt knowing that he coulnd't do anything else, decided to go back to work.
Beep, Beep, Beep
Matt heard his station start to beep at him.
"What is it saying?" Q2 said. Matt didn't know yet and kept on checking for what the station was telling him. Then he found it and it mad him very glad.
"It seems that we're not the only one purging the ship now," Matt said with a glee.
"Where are they doing it from?" Q2 asked.
"It seems that it coming from engineering," Matt said.
=^=Reynolds to Engineering, we are going there to help with the purging=^=
=^=Acknowlodged, and good work Cadet=^= Matt then picked up all of his stuff and quickly got out of the Aerowing hoping to not return for a long time.

“Okay cadet, we have to help purge this ship now. Not the most fun work, but it will help. You take that console here beside me. I will show u what to do, and then u just pick a system and purge it.” Lt. Anders ordered her.
“That looks like there are quite a lot of systems to purge,” Kedzie commented. “I guess that gives us all the more reason to start now, rather than discussing what we should do,” Kedzie continued, watching carefully as Lt. Anders showed her how to start it. She finished purging that system, and realized that she was working slower than Lt. Anders, but that was only to be expected. She would probably get faster as she went along, and her help was probably better than none, as long as she didn’t make the entire console explode or something like that. And she didn’t plan on doing things wrong, so she should be okay.
Kedzie was told by one of the other people in engineering that the operations cadet and an instructor were coming to help with the purging from engineering. Operations cadet, that would probably be Matt. Kedzie looked forward to working with him again. She wasn’t quite sure who the instructor would be, but it probably wouldn’t be someone she had worked much with, since, among other things, she hadn’t worked much with anyone besides Joan, and Joan would probably be busy on the bridge.

Matt was practically dancing all his way to Engineering. He was getting wierd looks from officers and cadets but he didn't care. He was free, free from the confining space of the Aerowing. He then remembered about Leena and Joan and hoped that she was okay.
Once Matt entered Engineering, he was glad to see Kedzie. Matt gave her a huge smile, which she returned.
"Hey Kedzie glad to see you again," Matt said.
"Likewise Matt," Kedzie said. Matt was glad that she continued to call him by his first name, they had work together for almost the whole day, and formalities usually got in the way.
"Who is the instructor with you?" Kedzie asked. Q2 walked up in front of her and introduced himself.
"I am Lt. Colonel Q2," Q2 said. Kedzie quickly went to attention and then saluted. Matt found it funny but didn't say nothing.
"Cadet I heard you're hear to help us," Lt. Anders," okay this is what..."
"Lt. sorry, but I have been doing this for the last six hours, I know what to do," Matt said hoping that he didn't cross the line. When the Lt. didn't say anything else, Matt went to work and the purging of the ship sped up tremendously.

right I had reserved a spot..Im gonna delete that in a min...since I didn't get around to posting earlier today.
ic:
Michael felt himself being caught in a transporter beam, as he was kneeling beside Damion. Despite his arm being mechanic, he was still bleeding copiously, and he had severe burns on his chest and face. He was glad Wesson had arrived on the bridge, because he didn't have the energy to shout orders.
It was bad enough that the medical cadet had called him from the rest she himself had ordered him to take. "A console exploded," he reported as Jason looked his way. "Jason please take care of him, I don't trust my judgement at present. I am too tired to notice even the slightest beep on a tricorder, and I'm worried about my family."
From the corner of his eyes, he noticed the cluster of people gathered around the biobed where his two daughters were lying. Though his eyes widened when he heard a faint crying. He gazed sharply in the direction of the biobed and saw Yrdis holding a child to his chest, as he tried to soothe her.
"Yarna!" Michael shouted, leaving Jason with Damion, and Wesson who had beamed to sickbay with them. Michael Hope held out his arms towards Yrdis, almost demanding that the counselor hand the child to him. When the counselor did, Michael let his tears run freely as he hugged his youngest child to his chest.
He cast a sad look at Kahlan, who still lay comatose and pale faced on the biobed. Though, she seemed to breathe more easily. Next he walked over to the bed his wife occupied and he placed Yarna on her chest. Instantly, the child clutched at her mother's clothing and her whimpering stopped. Surface examination showed that the child had fallen into a fitful sleep.
Michael sighed, as he watched two of the three most important females in his life. He beckoned a junior med tech to keep an eye on them and walked back to the group of people. There, he patted BeTor on her shoulder. "Well done," he said, and yawned freely, "now please, can I go back to bed?"

Whilst slowly administering the medication to the other patients, they all noticed the lights. It was hard not to, since they were fading in and out as though being drained of power. After a rather long pause without any light at all, they suddenly cam back on full blast. The EMH - who once again had been midway through a sentence - also came back online but said nothing about being interupted as he could obviously feel the difference at working at full power.
Just then, Sickbay received a call.
"Anders to Sickbay" E'Liana replied in a voice that was slightly annoyed. "Sickbay here, and we are busy" "Sorry I don't mean to interrupt, but is your problem fixed now?" Sheepishly, she replied. "Yes, power has just come back on. After a few false starts it seems to have stabilised for now. Thanks. BeTor out."
It took a few moments for E'Liana to register the appearance of Damion and the others, and was rather shocked to find him bleeding and burned so badly. Although she was glad of Dr Hope's assistance, she noted that he hadn't actually administered any sort of medical care - not even painkillers... ~He MUST be tired...~ She thought.
"Well done," Hope said, and yawned freely, "now please, can I go back to bed?"
E'Liana grinned at him. "Yes, you can. But please come back and relieve me of duty when you feel better. I'm rather tired myself..." She looked at him pointedly. "But I shall look after your family. It seems to be going okay right now" E'Liana said rather vaguely, worried she would jinx everything if she was too optimistic.
Since the others were working so well administering the mediciation to the patients of the Virus, E'Liana decided to go and help Dr Black with Damion. She grabbed a tricorder and a dermal regenerator for the lesser burns and went over.

Damion was stuck in a black hole somewhere hurting , cold and tense. He would make the effort through his pain to move if he thought it would help at all. He tried not to think of the words . Searing . burning . flesh.
Then there was a moment of clarity. Too much clarity . His host made him remember his previous deaths and that didn't comfort him.
Then back to just burning pain ......

As those crewmembers who were left climbed out of the turbolift shaft and onto deck 2, Ghost noticed that Commander McCormick was missing. 'I'm going back' he announced and before anyone could stop him he was back up the shaft. Jared realised that he had business elsewhere now and as he heard amongst the fizzing of consoles on the bridge the sound of the emergency transporter he ran down to sickbay.
When he arrived, Ghost had already arrived with McCormick and Jhukat was laying on a biobed. Jared stood back a bit from Jhukat's bed as the medical personnel dealt with him. From the brain activity readings he was having some sort of intense dream, or more likely, Jared reflected, a nightmare. Three years ago Jared may have been able to help him out of it, but now Jhukat's only hope lay with Dr Betor and her team. The virus was in its endgame; it was as nasty now as it would ever be since the part of it left on the bridge would most likely be killed off. Jared found it hard to believe the virus didn't know that.
The worst part for Jared was that it was his fault. He had failed to account for all the possibilities in the crisis. This wasn't the first time either. His only redemption would be if Jhukat survived this. Had Ghost not had the wit to sever the arm before before much else could be done, by now Jhukat may have been a zombie.
As soon as BeTor was done, Jared needed to enlist her cure to cure the ship of the virus. It was trapped but it wasn't destroyed yet. He watched and waited for the medical team to finish.

Anders was happy to see a few more hands. He wasn't sure about the instructor, but he let the cadet do his own work. He purges system after system seeing Kedzie not being able to keep up, and he smiles.
"Sorry, cadet, I'm used to having to be fast. Anything can happen in engineering." He says continuing to work. "Don't worry, if you work down here long enough you get fast enough. You are doing fine." He reassures her.
Meanwhile, Leena finally finds Joan in sickbay. Joan wakes and finds herself on a biobed. Since she doesn't feel that bad, she decides to sneak out again, and gets the opportune moment when a piercing scream comes out of nowhere getting everyone's attention. She and Leena leave as if they had never been there.
Okay, you, thanks for coming for me. Now back to Matt. I need you to remain with him until this mission is over. Joan thinks and smiles at her small friend.
Very well, I am on my way. Just try not to get yourself into any more scrapes like that. Leena says as Joan is shaking her head and chuckling at the same time. Joan and Leena split up again. Joan heads back to the bridge where she is suppose to be.
"Ok, commander, sorry for that. What can I do to help up here?" She says looking to see her console has exploded again.

Leena heads to engineering after finding Reynolds left without her to the party. She enters engineering to get a few shrieks when several people look down at her. She sighs and shakes her head.
"I'm back Reynolds. Hello Kedzie. Sorry, had to make sure Joan was alright. She just had a bump on the head, and now she is back on the bridge. Reynolds, did you still want me to ask Joan those questions?" Leena says happy to see the cadets, but no so thrilled at seeing the marine.
"Hello youngling, I'm Lt. Anders. Welcome." He says getting back to work.

“You are doing fine,” Lt. Anders assured Kedzie, as he continued to work and talk. Kedzie wasn’t in the way of anything, and as long as she was doing something, she felt useful, so she smiled slightly at Anders, just to show that she didn’t feel completely unhelpful.
Kedzie saved a larger smile for Matt as he entered, and exchanged a few words. However, when Kedzie was introduced to Q2, she snapped to attention. Kedzie didn’t have the slightest idea how to behave with a marine around, so she decided to be more formal than she would usually be, and then, for the most part, to continue with her work and ignore him.
“Matt, I see that you got off of the Aerowing. Hopefully you stay off of it for a while this time, right?” Kedzie asks, feeling sorry that Matt was trapped on the Aerowing for so long.
Leena arrived then, and informed Kedzie that Joan had bumped her head, but was okay now. Leena earned quite a few stares as she entered engineering, but Kedzie was glad to see the creature. Although Kedzie was happy that some of her friends had joined, Kedzie realized that she had to keep working, or else the purging would never end.

Jason saw the influx of patients, and was relieved that the injuries were easily treatable for once. Damion has a small amount of 3rd-degree burns, but nothing too serious. He had some cuts, by only one or two were serious. He assisted Damion onto a biobed.
Then, suddenly, Joan appeared in Sickbay. He lifted her unconscious form onto a biobed. E'Liana had already gotten a dermal regenerator. "E'Liana, check Damion out, see how bad it is. I'm checking out Joan first, see if she's badly hurt."
Joan had only a small bump on the head, no signs of concussion. He grabbed a nearby hypo that was already filled with a pain-killer. His fingers weren't working very well as he programmed the dosage, but he got it after a moment.
He then joined E'Liana at Damion's side. She was already running the regenerator over some of his cuts. "So how is he?"
She looked up at him, then looked back at what she was doing. "Healing pretty well. Third-degree burns on about 20% of his body, lost a little blood. But other than that, he'll be okay," she said, and looking up and smiled briefly before turning her gaze back down.
He reached for a tricorder to look for himself, then found himself having trouble gripping it. Using both hands, he was able to place it in his palm, but had to almost jab at the keys to get his hands to do what he wished. He shook his hand, but couldn't get it to go away.
"Is there a problem, Doctor?" she asked, noticing it.
He looked at his hand. "I'm not sure. My hands are going slightly numb. Don't know why either."

As Travor got the order to fire, he fired his phaser at the wires that Jared indicated on the padd. Good, he thought, now maybe i can go to Engineering and help purge the ship of this damned virus.
=/\= Cadet Gonto to Engineering =/\= =/\= Engineering here go ahead =/\= =/\= I am on my way there to help purge the ship of the virus, is Commander Gordon still there? =/\=
Looking around the person who answered Travor looked around, and saw Commander Gordon working at a console. =/\= Yes he is and there is an empty console next to him. =/\= =/\= OK, I am on my way. Gonto out =/\= Travor said and tapped his combadge. He started walking to engineering. I hope we get this thing out of the ship's systems soon, I would really like to get back to the Station for some down time.
As he walked into Engineering, Travor noticed a few new faces since he left to go get something to eat. He saw Commander Gorndon working at one of the consoles on the wall, he walked over and started working on purging the systems of the virus. "How was your food, Travor?" Dj asked. "Well, sir, funny you should ask," Travor replied, "I went to see if Commander Berns wanted to get something, but when I found him, he was unconcious in his room, so I took him to Sickbay. Then the Captain had me go to the Bridge. Then I went down to deck 8 and had to severe some wires so that the bridge would be disconnected from the rest of the ship with the virus there and nowhere else. Then I came back here to help purge the ship."

Tony crossed his arms and raised an eyebrow at the group of cadets who were adressing the night shift FO as if she were the senior officer on the bridge. He had been there for at least 5 minutes, and they had yet to acknoledge him. Instead of chatising them for their lapse in command procedure and therefor causing them all to lose time (something they had very little of) he took a phaser and stood at one of the assigned places on Jerad's PADD. He waited for the order, which was very strange considering he was the captain, and then fired on Jerad's mark.
The bridge went black and he heard several people scream. Another phaser fired, and Tony assumed it was Ghosts aimed at Damion's arm.
"Everybody, get the injured out!" Tony shouted and grabbed the security officer who had been standing in the next position and hoisted him over his shoulder, "Move it people!" Tony doubted they knew it was him giving the orders, but they knew it was best to follow them.
Soon they had all reached sickbay. It had been a struggle with the half of the group that wasn't injured carrying the half that was.
When they got to sickbay, it was less chaotic than before, but with their appearance the medical teams had lots to deal with again.
Tony and Jared started a head count and realized they had lost McCormick somewhere.
"Did anyone see McCormick?!" Tony shouted, no one gave an answer which Tony took as a no.
"I'm going back." Jared said, and before Tony could stop him, had run back to the jeffries shaft to get Joan. Soon he returned with the unconcious instructor. Tony helped the medical team, and within about 15 minutes were able to release the majority of the bridge crew that had been hurt. Damion and 1 security were all that remained. Reman and Ghost stayed, though they were not seriously injured, more to watch Damion it seemed.
Damion had lost blood, needed his arm reinstalled, and had pretty bad burns all over his body. The security officer and been thrown back when the ops console exploded and had broken his leg in two place when he landed on it.
Tony had spent the last few minutes finding out the status of the rest of the ship. With the active part of the virus trapped on the bridge, A group of people in engineering were purging the system of the inactive virus that had infected all the systems. Shikako Kedzie and and Enginnering officer had spent the last few hours rewiring panels to manually return power to places that needed it urgently. In sickbay, Yarna had been recovering nicely and E'liana and Black had started administering it to the rest of the patients infected with the virus.
Tony approached Reman Jerad, "Cadet, I know you are concerned about Cadet Jukhat but we need to find a way to purge the virus. Do you have any ideas?"

"Hey Leena," Matt said as he saw her come back into engineering. A lot of people gasped when she came in, but Matt just smiled at his friend. " No, I'm working on that now, and tell Joan to take care of herself."
The first time Matt met Leena he did gasp, but when he saw the Commander Hope's children we're playing with her, Matt was put on ease. Matt wanted to see Yarna and her sisters.
"Hey where are Commander Hope's children?" Matt asked Kedzie.
"You haven't heard," Kedzie said.
"Heard what," Matt said.
"The virus infected the children and they are very ill," Kedzie said. Matt became very scared for the children especially his favorite, Yarna. Matt then wanted to go and see if they were alright, but he knew that he had a job to do.
The news of the children invigorated Matt, he started to work harder on purging the systems of the virus. This was what he could do for them right now.

Jared was leaning against the wall with Ghost, watching the procedure on the now monobrachic (one-armed) Jhukat. Eventually, Ghost left to go and sleep off the day's ordeal but Jared stayed behind.
'Cadet, I know you are concerned about Cadet Jukhat but we need to find a way to purge the virus. Do you have any ideas?'
The fact it was the captain speaking didnt register into Jared's mind, just that someone had. Therefore he spoke without the normal formalities. 'Several possibilities spring to mind depending on which engineering can do. Either we attack it like Dr Betor attacked the virus in the crew, we phaser every inch of wire on the bridge until it dies or we EM pulse the bridge to kill it.' Right now Jared didn't really care who fixed it or how. He hadn't been sharp enough again and now someone was hurt. Again. He realised it was the captain now. 'Terribly sorry, sir' he said 'I'm a bit tired. I need to fetch something from my quarters that might help' Marcel seemed understanding. 'Carry on, cadet' he said. 'Thank you, sir' Jared left sickbay for his quarters.
After a little while he returned, looking better and happier. He pulled out a PADD with information about Borg nanoprobes and took it to BeTor for help when she had a quiet minute. Hopefully between the two of them they could find a cure for a machine.

Having sorted out Damion as best he could and leaving him to rest for a little while before she discussed the matter of his electronic arm that was now in tatters, E'Liana now faced yet another battle. ~I wonder if I'll ever get any sleep....~
"Dr Black, may I scan your hands?" She enquired, aiming the medical tricorder in his general direction.
He sat on the nearest biobed and held his hands out obligingly. Slowly, she scanned his hands, then his arms and the rest of him. Umming and ahhing throughout, she finally reached a diagnosis. "I believe you have succumed to the virus Doctor. But it is rather unusual, having transmitted itself through your skin, which is unusual. You DID touch Yarna, however, when you picked her up..."
Somewhat roughly (she was tired afterall), she raised his hands and inspected them herself. "You have no cuts or bruises...hmm. It seems as though the virus has been passed through your skin by your contact with Yarna when you picked her up. It's moving slower through your system because it was weakened by the first treatment we did on Yarna, but I believe it will reassert itself in you if not treated soon. Therefore I suggest immediate treatment, alright?"
She looked at him, noticing that he was rather surprised by her business-like manner, but this was what happened when she had little sleep. She became robot-like and just did her job until she could do it no more.
Calling out to Rachel, E'Liana said "Can you get me another couple of hyposprays with the immunosuppresant and nanoprobes in please? Oh, and a sedative - you never know what infected people can get up to otherwise - if you could. In a little while I'll help you get ready for the purging process" Rachel nodded and left.
"Right Dr Black, please lie down on the biobed and keep as still as possible. I just hope that it's not true that Doctors make the worst patients...Dr Mackler was somewhat troublesome..." She smiled and turned to recieve the hypo's from Rachel.

Jason dutifully laid down on the biobed as instructed. His hands were starting to hurt slightly, which he had observed in the Borg. Now he knew what it felt like. It was a dull ache, like someone was squeezing his hand too hard.
"It probably wasn't just Yarna. Unless I'm mistaken, I've been in physical contact with every infected person onboard. I was in rather intimate contact with Jordan as well. It may have been transmitted by her as well, and given her unique response, its unusual behavior in me may result from that," he noted.
Rachel came over, and injected him first with the immunosuppressant, and then with the nanoprobes. The sensation of the nanoprobes going in made him wince slightly, as he thought of what nanoprobes usually did when injected into someone. Fortunately, that wouldn't happen; the last thing they needed right now was the man that was usually their CMO running around as a Borg.
Rachel brought over the sedative. "All right, Jason, here it is. This is a moderate sedative, which will keep you out for about twelve hours."
He looked up at her. "Rachel, I don't even need that to fall asleep. Given that I've been up for about 19 hours now, I'll probably sleep that long on my own. And given how comfortable this bed is, I'll be out in a couple minutes on my own."
She chuckled, and then injected him. Slowly, the effects of the medication took over, and the world went to Black.
Jason found himself in a Western town typical of Earth about 400 years ago. He was in the traditional cowboy garb he usually wore on the holodeck. The air was hot and dry. The wind blew a small amount of dust through the air, and a tumbleweed rolled down the street.
Looking down the street, he saw what looked like a whole tribe of Indian Braves coming towards him on horseback, carrying tomahawks, and spears - and they were coming straight for him. He checked himself, and found he had no weapon of any kind. And the Indians were getting closer.
But then, all of a sudden, from behind him came a large gang of desperados on horseback, riding up behind him, carrying guns. A few surrounded him, whilst the rest went for the Indians, and started shooting them down.
Jason's face finally was free of the tension that had been building for the past 12 hours. He looked calm and serene as he lie on the biobed, sleeping.

Kedzie was getting the hang of working on the systems, which made the work a little more interesting, because she was switching from one system to another almost constantly. Of course, Kedzie didn’t think that purging systems could be considered exciting under any circumstances, no matter how fast she was now able to work.
“Matt? I’m sure that the children will be okay. The doctors probably have figured out the proper approach to use, and we can try to sneak into sickbay after we finish our work here. Sickbay is so crowded, they probably wouldn’t notice, especially if we just figured out if they were okay then left, ” Kedzie tried to assure Matt, knowing that he had become very upset when he heard that Commander Hope’s children had been affected by the virus. She knew sneaking into sickbay probably wouldn’t be the best way to solve the problem, especially given who commanded sickbay, but she just wanted to try to cheer Matt up a little, and who knew, it wasn’t that implausible.
Kedzie continued to work, happy that she could now talk and work at the same time, and that she had someone to talk to.

I am sorry to make an OOC post inside the mission thread, but I believe it necessary to ensure everyone sees this.
ATTENTION ALL CADETS: Please note that by now within the mission it is nearing midnight. This story is supposed to be as realistic as it can be within the realm of Star Trek, so please remember you are not Borg, or robots, and cannot go on working forever. You have been working for about 18 hours now at least, and that is reaching the limit of strain a body can tolerate. Please write getting some sleep in sometime in the your next few posts. Thank you

Kedzie glanced at Matt, and blinked blearily. “I’m a bit tired, and finding it hard to concentrate on the task at hand,” she explained. “I got a little bit of sleep after the console knocked me out, but I wouldn’t exactly call it restful. But you didn’t even get that. The night shift of engineers has been here for a while, we could let them take over, and get some rest?” she suggested, noticing Matt’s not terribly well-concealed yawn.
“And we don’t have to actually visit sickbay,” Kedzie said, deciding that her own plan of just dropping in probably wasn’t a very good idea. “We could just request a status report, but hopefully without distracting them, or keeping them from working on something important. Though if you really want, we can wait for the shift of doctors to get off. It shouldn’t take very long, and we can just ask them how the children are?” Kedzie tentatively proposed, because she knew that as tired as they both were, they wouldn’t be getting much sleep if they didn’t know how the children were. And if it turned out that Matt didn’t want to check on them, Kedzie knew that she would probably go on her own. As long as she didn’t fall asleep while she walking there, she thought, suppressing both a grin and a yawn.

Matt was so tired, he almost fell asleep standing. When he heard Kedzie suggestions, he just cheered up.
"Kedzie come lets go," Matt said to her and they both started to leave to wards sickbay. Matt continues to yawn all the way to sickbay.
"Are you sure you want to do this?" Kedzie asked," we may get screamed at." Matt was to tired to answer, he just stepped into sickbay. It was less hectic than Matt thought.
"What may I do for you, cadets?"the Doctor asked.
"We heard that the Commander's children became sick," Kedzie said," and we'd like to know if there better." Neither cadet knew that the person they were talking to were the kids parents.
"You must be Matt and Kedzie," the doctor said. Both were surprised that the doctor knew who they were.
"S'reena told me about you, especially you Matt, it seems that you really like my little Yarna," he said. Matt just smiled at the doctor, realizing that he was Commander Hope's husband.
"Well it seems that Yarna has started to recover and her sister is still critical, but stable," Doctor Hope told them," by the thanks for checking up on my family."
"Our pleasure," Kedzie said as she yawned.
"Now both of you leave and get some sleep," the doctor said. Neither cadet argued and left sickbay. Once both cadets reached the cadet quarters Matt said good night to Kedzie and walked into his quarters.
"Computer wake me up in 2 hours" and Matt fell onto the bed already asleep.

Kedzie arrived in her quarters, after being told that the children were okay, not healthy, but not dead, and they, or at least Yarna, seemed to be on the path to recovery. Kedzie wondered if Yarna was okay now because of efforts of the doctors, or if Yarna had managed to make it on her own. Either way, the doctors probably understood the virus better now. If they had been the ones that had helped Yarna, then they had an idea of how to approach a cure, and if Yarna had fought the disease on her own, then the doctors could study what helped her to fight the disease.
Collapsing into her bed in her quarters, Kedzie made the conscious decision not to tell the computer to wake here up. She could use all the sleep possible, and if she was needed, someone would probably wake her up. Besides, with all the events of the past day, she doubted she would be able to sleep for a very long time.

The console display was starting to blur in Travor's vision. Everytime it did, he closed hiseyes and shook his head. After he did it for about 10 min, CommanderGordon said, "Come on Travor, you look as tired as I feel. There will still be more to do tomorrow, lets get some sleep."
"If you say so sir," Travor replied wearily. He slowly stumbled his way to his quarters. When he got there he collapsed onto his bed and passed out before he could tell the computer to wake him up.
As he slept he dreamed that he was on Earth, in the early 19th Century, dressed in Cowboy attire, with a Ranger's Star on his chest...
