McLean could fell the tension in the room, the Admiral had not started the meeting yet and each one of the other officers had other duties they had to complete before the Raven could depart. McLean also felt a sense of urgentcy as he had a lone computer glitch to now take care of.
"I need to meet my new ACMO, is there any point in this meeting, or can I go back to Sickbay?"
Leaning in close McLean spoke to the doctor just above a whisper, "He's an Admiral, I don't think he needs to have a point to call a staff meeting."
This could just be a drill, McLean thought, For his sick pleasures to watch us all jump as his calling.
As the mintues passed by McLean could feel the energy in the room begin to build, something was going to give and McLean put his finger on the two Klingon's in the room as they ones to blow first.

It seemed to Zoarial that the captain was preparing his speech, but he just couldn't get why it should beso hard. Just a lot of gibberish, the mission goal etcetera and of course the most important information, the coordinates of their destination. Still feeling a bit drowsy from not getting enough sleep, Zoarial was barely able to stop his eyes from closing all the time.
"I need to meet my new ACMO, is there any point in this meeting, or can I go back to Sickbay?" E'Liana said, with such a prominent voice that Zoarial's eyes were suddenly wide open.
Scott answered right away, seemingly thinking that due to his whispering, only E'Liana would hear him.
"He's an Admiral, I don't think he needs to have a point to call a staff meeting."
Zoarial sniggered, even if it was an admiral, it still was simply not adivsable to cry wolf, this wasn't a very good way to win the confidence of the crew.
With a slight chuckle, Zoarial prodded E'Liana in her arm, he was getting very bored of all this waiting and thought that it would be nice to have some distraction.
"Psst E'Liana," he said, just loud enough for more people to hear it, "I think I hear Lursa meowing."

"We need to scan her for all basic illnesses and just do a routine check up of vital signs and get a record of her family history. The reason this is so detailed is because she is a new member of staff and so we need to make sure we know as much as possible...we've had...incidents...in the past where we didn't know enough about patients."
Jere didn’t say anything as the nurse explained what they needed to do, even though she was acting like he had no idea what he was doing. He also didn’t show anything in his stance or attitude to make her aware that he knew she was not comfortable with him or that she felt he had no idea what he was doing. Maybe he had made a mistake leaving the starbase, at least there he was trusted and his abilities not put into question.
"So if you could complete some of the tests whilst I ask Ensign Eowyn some questions?"
Jere nodded. “Of course.” he took the medical tricorder and began the scans and the tests while the nurse asked the Ensign the questions. He kept quiet and kept his mind from wandering as he did the job asked of him.
He listened as the questions were completed and looked up from the scans as Arya asked.
"I have many scars, and some old wounds that haven't healed correctly. I don't know if there is anything you can do for the old wounds, but if there is any help would be appreciated."
He smiled slightly and replied to her. “I might, depending on how old the scars are and your wants and desires I’ll see what can be done. We don’t have to discuss it now though.” he knew she was nervous as it was. “Some other time will be alright.” He finished the scans without another word, handing the PADD to the nurse. “Is there anything else you want me to do?”
His personal feelings could wait at least until the Ravens current mission was over, he would make his decision about returning to the Starbase full time when they returned from this mission.

As mc7 looked around the table, he decided that there had been enough time for socalising and chit chat, and that the breifing should now get underway.
Hello everyone. As your hopefully all aware, I'm Vice Admiral mc7_of_9, the Raven's new CO. The first order of buisness is to for me to say that I've read all of your service records, and I have to say that I'm very impressed. I've heard nothing but good things about this crew, and am eager to start working closely with all of you. And on that note, it's time to fill you all in on the Raven's next mission.
When we leave spacedock we'll set course for New London, a colony orginally set up by the Federation 87 years ago, but which seeced it's membership of the Federation 10 years after it's establishment. Since the colony seeced, there has been no offical contact between the Federation and it's leaders. Starfleet wants us to change that. Our mission is to try to restore diplomatic contact with the colony, and if succesfull to begin to make plans for cultural exchanges.
At that, there were murmours around the table.
Obviously since the colony hasn't been a part of the Federation in 77 years, what little information we have on it is out of date. As such, Starfleet weren't able to provide us with much to start with. However, the records we do have are in the main computer. The planet is a class M world with 3 main continants. The majority of the population were settled on the Northern continant, with a rough population count of 30,000. We have no information on the planets current form of government, so this is going to be a learning curve for all of us.
We're going in practically blind, but I have faith in ever single member of this crew not only to do their duty as best they can, but to do the Federation proud.
Now, that's as much information as we have on the mission at the moment, so I thought it would be helpfull to hear your thoughts on the mission, how well prepared the Raven is to undertake it, any potential problems anyone sees and so on.

OOC: Joint post between Steven Smith and myself.
IC: Having had her physical, and was busy with the meeting, she realized there wasn't much she could report. She was a counsellor, and hadn't had much time to do evaluations yet. She decided she would get those going pronto. She gave her report to the captain, and listened to the others.
After the meeting was over, she realized the captain was busy, so she decided to see if there was someone else who might be able to help her. She noticed the commander leaving, and smiled. She thought there might be hope yet. She walked over to him heading him off before he could leave the conference room.
Steve needed to have a word with the Captain, but he was going to go to his quarters to compose himself first, and then he would meet with him. As he was about to leave the briefing room, the Raven's new counselor stepped in the doorway, partially blocking his exit.
He looked at her, and raised an eyebrow. "May I help you?" He asked.
"I hope so. I need to talk to someone, and I know the captain is busy. I was hoping you would have some time to talk." She said trying not to sound desperate. She knew that he was also a busy man, but she needed help before she could give advice on how to help others, something she knew.
Steve lowered his defensive guard. "Of course. May I ask what it would be about?" He replied, with a gentle smile forming. It wasnt often that someone came to him to talk to for advice.
"It's my past, I do believe it has finally caught up to me. I haven't had it easy growing up, and my mother was against me joining up. Now I have word that she has recently past on. I just don't know what I should do. Part of me says forget about it, move on. I am finding it hard to move on. My mother was my last link to my homeworld and my past. I want a fresh start, but I am not sure how to get one." She said hoping this didn't overwhelm him. She felt really relieved to get that out into the open.
Steve felt an overwhelming sense of sorrow. "I am very sorry for your loss. Believe me when I say I know exactly what you are going through. My own father passed away last year, and it really hit me hard. My own way of moving on was by staying with my family for the better part of the year, and when I felt I could do it, I rejoined Starfleet. Now that was me....other people may have other ways of coping." He motioned out of the door. "Shall we go some place a bit more private?" He asked.
"I wish I could do that myself, but I have no family now. My father died when I was very young. I have no brothers or sisters." She noticed his motion and his question, and she only nodded not sure what else to say. She followed him out wondering where they were going, but she didn't ask.

McLean noticed nobody else was speaking up since most of them probably hadn't had a chance to look over their stations since the Star base's technicians had been working on them.
"Sir, I have not gotten a chance to do a complete inspection of the ship and all of it's systems. After this meeting is done I can go through and complete my inspection and then report my thoughts to you." McLean said.
<Tag Admiral Mc7 of 9>
The mission seemed very straight forward, but McLean had to admit that more than anything he wanted to get back to the familiar grounds of his engine room. Now with the mission details laid out before the entire senior staff McLean was starting to fidget as he hoped the meeting would conclude soon.

Jere finished with his work in sickbay before the meeting ended. He placed his reports on the CMOs desk and left sickbay heading for the meeting after alerting the rest of the medical staff where he was going.
The trip to the bridge short. He stepped from the turbolift and reentered the lounge quietly, standing near the door and not interrupt the meeting which was still going on. He nodded to the Captain and remained silent listening.

Sir, I have not gotten a chance to do a complete inspection of the ship and all of it's systems. After this meeting is done I can go through and complete my inspection and then report my thoughts to you. McLean said to the Admiral across the conferance table.
I get the feeling from looking around the table that this is the case across most of the departments. I propose that department heads review their departments status and report to Commander Smith within 2 hours. That will give us an hour to spare before leaving space dock to iron out any problems.
Is there anything else anyone wants to raise?
After finishing his last statement he looked around the table to see if anyone was about to speak. After a few seconds of silence, it was clear that no one was about to.
Well in that case, I look forward to reading each of your reports.
As each of the officers stood to leave the room, the new Captain called the Doctor over to him,
I'd be interested to hear your thoughts on your new Asst CMO are over the next few days Doctor.
The Doctor looked at the Captain as if she didn't know what to make of the requst, but simply replied with an aye sir. Mc7's first thoughts about this being an easy mission were evapourating, and quickly.

Jere stood as the meeting ended and left the meeting room in silence heading for his quarters. His shift was done and he had nothing more to occupy his time till the next morning. He'd heard what had been requested by the CMO and let out a sigh as he headed out of the room and off the bridge.
[In his Quarters]
Jere changed into something comfortable and retrieved a cup of tea from the replicator before settling on the couch to listen to some relaxing music before dinner.

E’Liana looked around the room of bored individuals and sighed.
She heard Zoarial chuckling beside her, and he prodded her arm. She could tell that he was getting very bored of all this waiting.
"Psst E'Liana," he said, just loud enough for more people to hear it, "I think I hear Lursa meowing.”
She raised her eyebrow at him sceptically. “Even with this silence, I doubt we can hear her from here…although I see your point” she smiled slightly at him, saying the latter part in a more hushed tone.
A few moments later, the meeting began. E’Liana had never been so relieved.
~*~*~
“…Now, that's as much information as we have on the mission at the moment, so I thought it would be helpful to hear your thoughts on the mission, how well prepared the Raven is to undertake it, any potential problems anyone sees and so on…”
A few moments later, she noticed Opet come in and stand by the door. She rolled her eyes dramatically at Zoarial, and whispered “Obviously, someone doesn’t understand the role of the ASSISSTANT CMO.” She grinned at him.
“I get the feeling from looking around the table that this is the case across most of the departments. I propose that department heads review their departments status and report to Commander Smith within 2 hours. That will give us an hour to spare before leaving space dock to iron out any problems.”
E’Liana made a mental note of that, but could not think of anything she needed to do, due to the marvellous Nurse Joy.
“Is there anything else anyone wants to raise?”
She had a funny feeling that the Admiral - ~Or is that Captain?~ she wondered to herself - was pointing this question to her, but held her tongue.
Five minutes later, the meeting was finished, and E’Liana rose from her chair and was about to leave with Zoarial when she heard the Admiral call her.
“I'd be interested to hear your thoughts on your new Asst CMO are over the next few days Doctor.” He said.
Not knowing how to respond, she merely nodded and responded with an automatic “aye sir”, before nodding and heading back to Sickbay.
Just ahead of her was Opet leaving for the end of his shift. Momentarily, she wished her shifts were that short - but that was the curse of being CMO. She heard him sigh, obviously having heard the Admiral’s request. At that she turned around to quickly speak to Mc7_of_9.
“Let me know when you want to talk to me about our new ACMO, sir, I’d be only too happy to discuss the matter…”
<TAG Mc7>
She nodded and smiled slightly at him. When she had turned away from him she cringed and sighed. Work wasn’t supposed to be this difficult. ~ I’m a Doctor, not a drone…~
E’Liana had never been so glad to go back to her shift...

It didn't take long for Zoarial to finish his report. Unlike E'Liana, he had no problems whatsoever in his department. His team was reliable, accurate and able to cope with stress. Everyone knew the value of one another and there was no friction between the people. Mainly it was David and Zoarial stationed at the helm, with only in extreme situations an ensign taking over, but Zoarial made sure that they were all capable of handling different problems.
After Zoarial had finished the report on his padd and sent it to the first officer, a small window popped up. reminding him about the scheduled holodeck training for that day. Since they were about to leave, he wanted to be at his station, so he sent a small notice to every ensign concerned that the training was postponed untill they were well underway.
He remembered that he also had a planned conversation with E'Liana, which they hadn't been able to finish during the shore leave and when he accesed his 'to do' list he found it surprisingly long. *Better mark it priority then* Zoarial thought, but then noticed that all the other items were as well. *Well, at least it's not going to get boring this mission!* Zoarial thought, and headed for the bridge.
Zoarial had left David in charge of checking all the systems and writing a report about them. It seemed that at the moment there were no errors or glitches and everything would go as planned. *Just like every other mission* Zoarial thought. There was always something that went terribly wrong.
The turbolift opened it's doors and revealed the bridge, which was near to empty. Only a couple of engineers from starbase maintenance were replacing and polishing the panels to give the bridge a fresh new look.
Now the waiting began. Zoarial dared not leave his post, not wanting to be late for the second time in one day. Maybe he would be able to get at better reputation during the mission, or maybe during his leisure time.

OOC: Sorry it's so long...am a tad bored and don't want to do my work!!
IC:
E'Liana made her way back to Sickbay to complete the report for Commander Smith. When she got there, she saw Joy tidying away from the last physical. The other woman looked up and smiled. "Hello...how was the meeting?"
E'Liana rolled her eyes. "Don't ask. Please." She smiled lightly, and Joy grinned back. "I met the new ACMO." She said, making conversation. "....seems nice." E'Liana mumbled back whilst Joy suppressed a chuckle.
"I have to discuss him with the new Captain" Replied the hlaf-Klingon woman. "That'll be a meeting to look forward to. I only hope I don't get too angry...people tend to take it the wrong way." Joy nodded in understanding. "You seem to have got a better control over it..." She said, trying to make the young woman feel better.
"Did I ever tell you of my training mission?" Enquired the Doctor. With a shake of the head, E'Liana carried on. "Long story short, I ended up punching the Commanding Officer...and SHE was the one under the influence!! I really hope Mc7 hasn't heard that...he may confine me just to make sure..."
Joy chuckled. "Don't worry about it, I'm sure he won't judge you. I've known people who've done much worse things than you..." She replied somewhat darkly.
There was an awkward silence for a few moments before E'Liana changed the subject. "I need to finish that report we were doing for Commander Smith. You have anything to add to it?"
Joy, taking the hint, nodded. "I've but a PADD on your desk." E'Liana nodded in understanding. "I've also put the latest physical results on there...I can't transfer them to the database, so if you could do it..." Joy trailed off. "I'll show you later." Joy thanked her.
Just as E'Liana was about to make her way into her office. "That reminds me...we need to do a physical of Mr Opet. He's a new staff member, afterall." Joy nodded. "I'll contact him, and see when he wants to do it..."
E'Liana smiled. "Thanks" and went off to send her report to Commander Smith, not looking forward to the numerous meetings that it would result in.
Meanwhile, Joy finished tidying away, and sent a message to Opet regarding the need for a physical.
<TAG Opet>
~I think I'd better do this one too...~ She thought wryly to herself.

The staff meeting couldn't have ended any sooner for McLean. Since the start of the meeting his thoughts had been on any problems or bugs that could be running around the system. Certainly I must have misread the information, there was no way there could be a glitch in the computer system, McLean thought.
Walking briskly McLean made his way down to engineering to inform the engineers he and most likly the Admiral would be doing an inspection.
"Look sharp," McLean said, "I should be back down here in a few hours." With that he departed to check on the other sections of the ship.
Nobody liked suprise inspections, but if they could have their choice crew members would rather be inspected by the Chief Engineer rather than the Commanding Officer. McLean walked into the transporter room and watched the transporter opperator snap to attention.
"Easy." McLean said, "I only have 2 pips, I am a couple short for that kind of action."
"Aye sir." Came the response.
"I need to look at your station." McLean said walking toward the transporter contol console.
"Aye sir."
"Are you new?" McLean asked with a sharp eyebrow.
"Yes sir, I am sir." The Ensign continued looking stiff as a board.
McLean chuckled to himself. It seemed normal for new crew members to snap to attention or to show signs of respect for the high ranking officers, but this ensign was green and it showed.
"Your station looks in order, good work." McLean said.
"Thank you sir."
McLean started to walk away then stopped dead in his tracks at the door and turned around to face the ensign, "Relax."
Walking the length of the hall way McLean entered a turbo lift and took it up to the bridge. As the doors slide open McLean noticed the hum of the bridge as well as the lack of officers on the bridge. As McLean walked onto the bridge he took a moment to look around, the bridge looked brand new. The technicians did a good job making sure everything looked good for the Admiral.
McLean waisted no time going over to the Operations station and quickly downloading the stations information to his PADD. Next he went over to the science and tactical stations and perfromed the same task. Looking up front McLean saw Commander Zoarial at the helm going through the motions.
"How does she feel Commander?" McLean asked hoping not to disturb the Klingon too much.

"How does she feel Commander?" Scott asked and Zoarial turned around, glad that he had something, or rather someone, to kill the time.
"I can't tell untill we're out of the spacedock mr McLean" Zoarial answered smiling. "Although it looks like they fixed my console a little bit, it looks a bit brighter than before. I was almost affraid that they would update the console to that new version, but luckily they left it alone."
<Scott>
"Well... the layout troubles me. I have to tie my fingers in a knot to go a quarter impulse, and I almost have to use my feet to be able to go into warp. I heard that it has some new automated features, but you know what happened the last time they 'automated' the navigations system." Zoarial grinned to Scott, thinking back about the brain. He couldn't help wondering how Alex and Dan were doing out there. He hoped that they were safe, whereever they were.

Jere recieved the message about needing the physical and knew he'd had one just prior to arriving so didn't need one again. He had prepared for this and sent back a message that he was forwarding his medical records as well as the last physical which was less than a month old. With a sigh he went back to drinking his tea, his mind wandering to what he should eat for dinner.

Nurse Packer received the message from Opet rather promptly and held back a sigh. She had to wonder why he was being so hostile. ~Surely a medical man such as him should know procedures aboard vessels such as ours...~ she mused quietly to herself.
Deciding against telling the young Doctor, she wrote back to him, informing him of the requirement of each new member of staff being personally assessed by the current medical team. She even added in that the Admiral would also need to partake in a physical to ensure optimal health for all the crew, and thus proceeded to contact him aswell.

Mc7 knew it would have to happen, but had hoped he would be able to avoid the issue a little longer than he had so far managed. However, after hearing that there were other members of the crew that were resisting undergoing their new assignment medical, he knew that he had to lead by example.
There are some duties of command that you just never get used to, he thought to himself as he headed towards the turbolift. When he stepped into the lift and instructed it where to take him, his mind began to wonder.
How much have the tests changed since my last physical, almost 5 years ago? Officers were supposed to have a yearly physical exam, but other duties has convienently always kept mc7 busy enough to avoid it. Until now.
As the lift came to a halt and the doors open, the door to main sickbay faced him. Exiting the lift, he walked the short distance, and entered the large medical facility.
Nurse Packer, I believe you want to subject me to all maner of horrible and nasty tests, the Admiral said, as a smile crept over his face.
Where would you like me?

Jere looked up as the computer console in his quarters blipped. He placed his half empty cup of tea on the table and walked to the desk, sitting down and checking to see who the message was from. The answer surprised him and caused him to smile. He opened the link and spoke. "Ethan .... what'd I do to deserve this honor?" he joked.
Ethan couldn't believe that it had been almost six months since they had spoken, but Jere was just like he was the last time they met. Smiling, joking, and enjoying life.
"Oh I just wanted to talk to a friend," Ethan responded smiling," and so I called my best friend."
Jere chuckled "How have you been? What have you been up to?" the last time they spoke seemed so long ago.
"Well as you can see I joined Starfleet," Ethan said smiling," and to say the least it has been very exciting to say the least."
"I can't believe you finally took the plunge Ethan. Where the heck are you?" Jere settled back in the chair behind his desk as he and his best friend talked.
"Well Captain Stone, helped me graduate early and I have been stationed to the USS El Salvador," Ethan said remembering his godfather," and guess what type of ship the El Salvador is?"
Ethan didn't let Jere respond as he stopped him mid sentence and said," Yep a Prometheus class, I'm so lucky."
Jeres mouth dropped. "You're ... in S47!?" he exclaimed?
"Yeah and so are you," Ethan said matter of factly. He of course was ecstatic when he found out that his friend was in the same division as him, and he had been given time to properly address that fact when it came up with Jere.
"We'll have to get together sometime when we both are on leave?" He was still in semishock from finding Ethan and he were so close too."
"Yeah of course, when I found out, I almost checked to see where the Raven currently was," Ethan said admitting his need to talk to someone that he knew.
"So Jere, how are things on your side?"
"They could be better Ethan. I don't know I just don't fit in here and I'm not sure why." Jere replied with a frown.
Ethan long ago knew how to read his friend and he knew that he was being nice. He of course knew that not everyone adjusted well to their first assignment. Lucky for him Jere had not picked up on Ethan's uneasiness. It wasn't that Ethan didn't like being on the El Salvador, but the people here intimidated him a bit.
"Jere, please tell me you didn't play any pranks on them?" Ethan said hoping to break the tense nature of there conversation.
Jere could tell there was something Ethan wasn't sharing but knew better than to ask. "No, no pranks. I don't know what it is and I probably don't want to know." He shrugged. "I put in a transfer to SBB. I think I prefer the starbases over the ships anyway. I never did grow a set of wings."
"Jere you grew a set of wings, but we all know that your mom just clipped them," Ethan said troubled that Jere hadn't enjoyed his first assignment. Jere was a carefree loving person who never had a problem with anything, but then again he had just been proved wrong. "So are you still going to be a doctor?"
"Trying to be Ethan. Maybe I wasn't cut out for this?" he mused and grew silent.
"Jere don't you dare speak like that," Ethan said a flash of anger showing," we all know that you are more than cut out for this. Just because you had a bad experience doesn't mean that its that way everywhere you go. You have the smarts and my friends tell me the looks to be a great doctor and officer."
Jere let out a sigh and didn't make a reply right away. "So what are you up to? What are you doing on the El Sal?"
"Well we just finished our current mission and we are heading back to the Assailant, supposedly we are supposed to have a big party in a little while," Ethan responded.
"Parties are fun Ethan, you make sure to enjoy yourself for both of us." Jere said with a slight smile, one thing Ethan liked was a good party.
"Of course, since when don't I enjoy......"Ethan replied before being interrupted by the comm system.
=^=Would all El Sal crew please report to the longue for the after mission party =^=
Jere laughed. "Speaking of parties, you better get going."
Ethan didn't want to stop talking to Jere, but he had been told to make an appearance. The only comfort that he took in this was the fact that he now knew where Jere was and he could call him when ever he wanted.
"Jere its been good talking to you again," Ethan smiling," I will talk to you soon."
"You won't lose contact now I promise." He closed the link before Ethan could get a word out knowing that it would be the only way to get him to go to that party.
Ethan almost laughed outloud, Jere knew him to well. Ethan turned off his console, thought about it a minute and then made his way towards the party.
OOC: This was a JP between myself and Ethan Hope from the USS Salvador.

"I can't tell until we're out of the space dock mr McLean" Zoarial answered smiling. "Although it looks like they fixed my console a little bit, it looks a bit brighter than before. I was almost afraid that they would update the console to that new version, but luckily they left it alone."
"Good, because I remembered you saying something last mission about how you weren't fond of the updates console. When I put in the paper work with the station I told them not to touch the helm console. What about the console don't you like?" McLean said.
"Well... the layout troubles me. I have to tie my fingers in a knot to go a quarter impulse, and I almost have to use my feet to be able to go into warp. I heard that it has some new automated features, but you know what happened the last time they 'automated' the navigations system." Zoarial grinned to Scott.
"Yes I do remember what happens when things become more automated. Let me know if there is anything you need." McLean said before leaving Zoarial.
The ships inspections were going better than McLean had expected. Then again it was one thing for a Chief Engineer to do an inspection, it was a completely different animal when the Captain of a ship, especially when it was an Admiral does the same inspection.
McLean only found a few things about Starfleet that he didn't like. One of them being the fact that the higher ups always focused on the small things. It was tedious to McLean, not worthy of all the attention they CO's always placed on them. McLean had always been an officer who focused on performance more than anything else. Probably why I won't end up as a Captain, McLean thought to himself.
McLean had saved Main Engineering as his last stop on the inspection before heading back up to the bridge to see the Admiral. As he entered he found it just as he left it. Engineers running around going over systems, double checking EPS grids, and making sure the Warp Core was running as efficient as it possibly could.
"Alright, let me see the report." McLean said a an Lt. J.G. working hard on the console closest to the Warp Core.
"Aye sir." She said handing him a PADD.
"94%," McLean said outloud sounding unimpressed, "Try doing a realignment on the injectors, that should bring us up a percent or so."
"Aye sir." She replied taking back the PADD.
The other stations looked exactly as they should so Mclean decided to quickly make his way back up to the bridge to report the ships status. McLean figured the Admiral was going to do an inspection of his own at that point so he mentally prepared for what might be.
"Computer, locate Admiral Mc7 of 9." McLean said.
"Admiral Mc7 of 9 is located in sickbay."
"Oh," McLean said to himself before tapping his COM Badge, "Admiral, this is Lieutenant McLean. I have finished my inspection. When will you be available to see my results?"

Joy received a prompt reply from the Admiral and got ready for the next physical. Sonner than expected, Mc7 arrived.
"Nurse Packer, I believe you want to subject me to all maner of horrible and nasty tests" he said, as a smile crept over his face.
She laughed. "I have a bad reputation already? Dear me..."
He smiled in reply. "Where would you like me?"
Joy quirked an eyebrow at that and tried not to smirk ~Grow up, Joy~ she thought to herself. ~you could get left at the next planet thinking that~
As she reddened slightly, she managed to respond "On the biobed over there, please" she said, indicating the nearest one.
She walked over with the usual equipment and scanned him with various tricorders and scanners. Finally, she asked him to lie down, to which he complied and she brought the scanner up, so that it encased him. For a flicker of a moment she thought she'd seen fear.
"Is this alright for you? It's the quickest way for doing these tests, but if you're not comfortable in this space I can do it another way..." She said, offering an alternative.

"Alright, we've done all the tests now, and overall you seem to be fine. However, I downloaded your medical file onto a PADD, and I know that you were at one point a member of the Borg collective. I've done a little research into this and know that implants can sometimes continue to affect the body. Are you experiencing any such signs?"
<TAG Mc7 - add in other questions you want Joy to ask you>
Once they were almost finished, E'Liana came out of her office, not knowing that he was there. She was reading a PADD and looked up in surprise.
"Hello Admiral" She said. "Here for your physical I see..." She noted dryly. "I see you 're hoping to lead by example..."
He opened his mouth to respond, when his commbadge beeped.
"Admiral, this is Lieutenant McLean. I have finished my inspection. When will you be available to see my results?"
E'Liana smiled slightly. She was forever having interrupted conversations with people.

A little while later, Arya sat in her office, and was putting together a list of questions for her evaluations. She wondered what to ask them, and thought for a few minutes more.
Ten minutes later, she had the list of questions completed, and wondered who her first victim should be. She picked up a roster, and looked at it. She knew the captain and commander would be too busy now, as well as navigations. She wondered who would be good to start with, and then a name stood out from the rest.

After being instructed to sit on the biobed, mc7 made his way over to it, and sat down. A moment later, Nurse Packer joined him by the side of the bed, and raised her scanner up towards the new Captain. As she done this he flinched, almost unnoticable, but having been in her job for a long time, Packer picked up on it instantly.
Is this alright for you? It's the quickest way for doing these tests, but if you're not comfortable in this space I can do it another way...
No, carry on Nurse. As you said before, your reputation proceeds you. Just remember, if the Raven loses another commander so soon, Starfleet really wont be happy! the Admiral said, continuing the run of good humoured conversation between the two of them.
A few moments, and many scans, later, Packer broke the silence by talking about mc7's medical history.
Alright, we've done all the tests now, and overall you seem to be fine. However, I downloaded your medical file onto a PADD, and I know that you were at one point a member of the Borg collective. I've done a little research into this and know that implants can sometimes continue to affect the body. Are you experiencing any such signs?
As you can see from looking at me, none of the remaining implants are visable, so unless you either know me and my history, have access to my medical files, or have a level 2 security clearance then you would never know. That doesn't answer your question I know, but a mans got to show that he has some secrets every now and again,
And with that, another smile crept over the mans face.
But to answer your question, no I've not had any trouble with my implants for a while now. They generally don't affect me, or my performance, much at all, unless I'm in a situation when my adreniline levels are extremely high. Starfleet Medical never figgured out why, but that really seems to spur the dormant nano probes in my body into action!
After mc7 had given his answer to Nurse Packer, E'Liana came out of her office and walked over to the biobed to join the two officers already there.
Hello Admiral. Here for your physical I see. I see you 're hoping to lead by example..."
As mc7 opened his mouth to reply, his comm badge beeped.
Admiral, this is Lieutenant McLean. I have finished my inspection. When will you be available to see my results?
Once the Lt had finished speaking, the Admiral looked to Nurse Packer to gauge roughly how long he would be in sickbay for, and she nodded, which he took to mean that he was all but finished.
I'll be in my ready room in 15 minutes Lt. I shall see you there.
tapping his comm badge to end the connection between his and the Lt's, he slid off the bed and stood.
Well ladies, if there's nothing else, I'll be off out under your feet,
and with that he nodded to the both of them and walked out of the medical bay, and started to make his way to his ready room for his meeting with the Lt.

Having gone back into her office after seeing the Admiral, E'Liana went through the last few reports on her desk, glad that there were no patients with injuries. Just as she was about to ask Joy something, her commbadge bleeped.
"Eowyn to BeTor, could you please report to my office"
E'Liana tapped her badge in response. "I'm on my way..." wondering what would be in store for her...

McLean had gotten a chance to finish the last of his inspections just as the fifteen minutes were up. Walking over to a near by console McLean complied all the data he had collected from the various stations and placed them onto a single PADD for the Admiral to take a look at and endorse with his thumb print.
McLean had to admit that the ship seemed as if it was running more smoothly than when he first arrived. He didn't attribute it to his doings at all, it was clear that the stations technicians did a damn good job. The only complaint McLean had was the light level. It seemed to him that the station technicians liked the look of Red Alert because the hallway lights were just much to dark.
I'll have to fix that once I get back down to engineering, McLean thought as he boarded the turbo lift.
"Bridge." McLean ordered.
The door slid open revealing an empty hallway. McLean scratched his head and let the doors close in front of him.
"Lets try this again, BRIDGE." McLean said trying to let the computer hear every word.
Unable to verify location
"What the devil. Deck 1." McLean said sounding angry.
With the command the turbo lift began moving again. This time the doors slid open to reveal a busy bridge.
Stepping off the bridge McLean grumbled to himself, "Thank you, you good for nothing..."
Nobody seemed to take noticed at the Chief Engineers' grumblings. Stepping in front of the Admiral's ready room he pushed the door chime and waited to be let in. Listening closely McLean heard 'enter' from the other side of the door and quickly proceeded into the Admiral's ready room.
"Here are the inspection results Admiral." McLean said handing the PADD over to the Mc7 of 9.

She wondered if she should go straight into the quesitons, or if she should chat a bit. She wasn't sure, but she knew she didn't want to sit behind her desk for this. She grabbed her drink and list, and then headed over to the couch to get comfy.
It wasn't long before Commander BeTor was in her office. She tried to smile sweetly so as not to startle the woman.
"Hello, commander, and welcome. Please make yourself at home." She said motioning to the spot right next to her.
(BeTor)
"So, how long have you been here? What is it like working with this crew?" She said trying to get some small talk going before the real questions came.
