" Admiral when ever you ready to cloak please do so, the longer we are visisble the more chances we take of changing the time line. My ship will run long range scans for other ships in the area to make up for your powere drain hiding us and feed it to your computers"
“I am fully aware of the consequences of being detected colonel,” the Vulcan admiral replied coldly, colder than she had intended. However she couldn't afford to appear emotional or vulnerable now. “Discordia and Mercury will envelop you in their cloaking device. While cloaked, it is unnecessary to extend your shields around them, as none of you will be visible. Minerva will remain visible, but will likely throw off the image of being an NX class vessel. Hopefully, we will pass as one on scanners.” She nodded her permission towards running the long range scans, then turned as a young Bajoran officer approached.
"Excuse me sir." Admiral Reckus looked up from the tactical readout at him. "Ensign Shakaar Braylin, Chief Science Officer, reporting for duty. What are my orders?"
“Take your station ensign,” she ordered with a curt nod, “confer with the Nevada and prepare to analyse their scans.” She settled back in her seat, briefly wondering how her family was doing. She had been on duty for longer than necessary now, but she felt she couldn't leave in the middle of a crisis. This once, her family just had to wait. She barely had time for her personal musings, as Colonel Running Wolf contacted them again.
" Admiral long range scans just detected a massive power out put to a cloak. The cloaking signal we picked up is out of place by quite a lot. Who ever it is doesn't seem to know how to balance there power flow and its bleeding off making it show up on our scans. I'm transmitting a course to you now, when your able to get under way I suggest we find out whats going on here."
" I also still haven't gotten any new information on the away team. It might be possible there still stuck in the future but thats a guess until more proof can be found. I also have had our transponder switched off to prevent being picked up by anybody. I'm not sure how your cloak works so please let me know what else we will need to do to make this happen"
“Minerva's engines are operational,” she replied, “warp two at maximum.” This time, she allowed a small smile. “Each of my modules is equipped with a warpcore colonel, as well as a cloaking device. Discordia and Mercury will stay with you, match their speed accordingly. Stay between the two modules and you should be...fine. Keep scanning for the away team. Their modified shuttle should not be too hard to miss?”
Despite her cold exterior, Sonak was more than concerned. Her first officer was on that shuttle, how was she going to explain this to his family, if he was never recovered. Silently, she prayed for his safety, however illogical it seemed to her. She was startled from her musings as the chief medical officer arrived on the bridge.
“Admiral.. Doctor Grey and lieutenant Dunowin.. I left the explanation of your plan for you to give.”
The Vulcan regarded the two newcomers closely. “Thank you doctor. Please take them to the briefing room, I shall be with you shortly. Doctor, lieutenant, welcome aboard the Vesuvius.”
"An honor to meet you, Ma'am."
“The honour is mine lieutenant. Please follow Doctor Kennedy.” As the three officers left, Sonak turned to Shakaar. “Ensign Shakaar, please join me. Your input would be valued.”
She didn't wait for the young Bajoran to follow her, but walked straight to the briefing room. She looked around those gathered. “I presume Doctor Kennedy has given you a brief explanation of what is needed? Good. Mister Dunowin, how is your expertise on holo technology? And yours, Doctor Grey?”
She arched an eyebrow. “I fear that, although I too am a doctor, holograms are very much beyond me. What I need from you, all of you, is to work together on creating a holographic sensor mask. I desire for Minerva, that is my vessel's primary module, to resemble an NX class starship. Close scrutiny will of course reveal the farçe, but on sensors it will have to do. Can you create such a mask, in such short notice?” She paused. “You have one hour to do it, before the enemy is upon us. No doubt, they have already detected our signatures on their scanners.”
tag: Dunowin, Grey, Kennedy, Shakaar please devise the technology required. if anyone can NPC the approaching klingons, that'd be great.

Keeping Kerry-Anne.... rather, Dr. Kennedy within her field of vision, Lucy could only nod at Dunowin's assessment of never getting on the woman's bad side.
Now, entering the bridge and being introduced to the Admiral, Dr. Grey inclined her head once again copying Dunowin's lead. Her own grandfather was a vice admiral, retired. Adm. Ben Cose had given her a home and all the love she could handle after his son, her father, was presumably killed in an attack on their base. A flash of Granpa's kind face over-lapped Admiral Reckus's.
Shaking her head of her family thoughts in time to hear those words of a meeting in the briefing room, Lucy simply turned and followed the Vesuvius' CMO.
“I presume Doctor Kennedy has given you a brief explanation of what is needed? Good. Mister Dunowin, how is your expertise on holo technology? And yours, Doctor Grey?”
Adm. Reckus arched an eyebrow. “I fear that, although I too am a doctor, holograms are very much beyond me. What I need from you, all of you, is to work together on creating a holographic sensor mask. I desire for Minerva, that is my vessel's primary module, to resemble an NX class starship. Can you create such a mask, in such short notice?” She paused. “You have one hour to do it, before the enemy is upon us. No doubt, they have already detected our signatures on their scanners.”
"I've done a little holodeck programming when I've needed to sharpen some skills on a surgical procedure," Dr. Grey said softly. She didn't mention that the program didn't help and she lost the patient because of it. A flaw in the program, she thought. And definitely my fault.

Lucy said, "I can key in everything up to the if-then command. After you put in that, I can help finish it up."

Sitting in his command chair he study the scans of the klingon ship, with a little checking from the computer he was able to to figure out the class of ship and the name. The IKS Daka a D5 nontanker varienty, I don't even think I've ever seen one working before. Well at least now we know what type of ship and the name thats something.
His thoughts still were on the away team no word on there where abouts. He knew they were well trained and could handle anything but that didn't change the fact he was worried. If I only knew they were safe that would easy my worry. Still he had to deal with a ship trying to use a modern cloak. If they were successful it would change the balance of power in this time. No scanning technology of the current time line would be able to dectect the ship.
On board the IKS D'aka " Lt Mek'tor how much longer until you get the new cloak working"
"Commander D'ghore its not a simple matter of just hooking up and switching it on. Even with all the information we stole from the future." all of a sudden Mek'tor felt a a fist across his face and fell to the floor
" Lt if you wish to see another day you will have the new cloak up and running by the end of the day. Or you will find out it is a good day to die do I make myself clear"
" Yes Commander very clear we will get it working, our new senors detected something earlyer. Only for a brief moment but it appeared that there were two unkown ships on the edge of senor range. It could be a system error as we are still working out the bugs from the upgrades we installed"
" Keep me apprised Lt if you pick up anything else I want to know about. Until we are fully operational with the new technology our dreams of glory are on hold"
Back on the Nevada
Looking at the veiw screen " Admiral I was able to identify the ship its klingon the Iks D'aka a D5 class. There's not much on it other then its a imperial war ship of the time. I will keep digging. But I'm guessing we now know who came through our readings have confirmed the presents of modern technology. I would suggest we move with care until we know just how modern that ship has become. I put our ETA at 2 hours at present speed as long as the keep sitting there"

IKS D'aka
Zillah's knees almost sank with pleasure at the sight of Cmdr. D'Ghore's fist against Mek'tor's cheekbone. She made her way to the lieutenant's side and bent to whisper, "You lie. There was no sensor reading. You did not see anything! Another such fabrication and I will let our commander know...."
<TAG: Mek'tor>
His words, mean to scare, did so but Zillah was well versed in how to hide her feelings. She said, her voice full of disdain, "You do not scare ME, Lieutenant!." Turning, she squared her shoulders and said huskily, "I will watch Mek'tor's actions, commander. I know his kind well."
<TAG: D'Ghore>
Suddenly humble at the commander's words, Zillah bowed her head in acquiescence. "Yes, commander. Whatever you say." She saw the look of triumph in Mek'tor's eyes and vowed to pay him back tri-fold for his victory against her. Her shaggy eyebrows rose with a hate filled look and she kicked at him minutely, saying, "Beware, lieutenant. Beware."

Commander Parsons helped the other awayteam members to the feet. Everyone seemed to be alright, and Lieutenant Helacaan reported to Commander Park.
Park responded to the news and Adam asked, "What about our ships. Have they traveled back in time with us, or only the awayteam?"
Helacaan continued,
"See to it, Lieutenant." Parsons nodded in the Lieutenant's direction.
"Yes, sir," Seth replied. He enlisted Commander Wolf's assistance and returned to the shuttle as several members of the awayteam scanned the area with their tricorders.
Just before Wolf left, she provided a caution regarding the Klingons from the time period they had been pulled to,
Commander Park acknowledged that he was aware of the Kingons general nature during this time. Parsons was as well, having received a degree in history at the academy, but he was sure Commander Wolf knew much more about the Klingons from this time period than he did.
Commander Park also gave an order for the awayteam to attempt to mask their lifesigns and equipment so as to avoid violating the temporal prime directive. Adam was glad Jon was thinking clearly.
Park then approached the Vesuvius XO, "Commander Parsons what does starfleet regs call for in this scenario?"
"Well, you are certainly correct, Commander. We need to take whatever steps we can to avoid violating the temporal prime directive. Hopefully the orbiting starfleet vessel hasn't already figured out where we came from. We should give them as little information about our true origin as possible. That may be a little more difficult if the Vesuvius and Nevada are up there too, but at this point, we have no indication they are. We need to figure out how we got here and get back. Hopefully Lieutenant Helacaan will provide some answers."
Parsons then turned to one of awayteam members and ordered them to continue attempts to hail the Vesuvius and Nevada.

"Mask an entire ship, Ma'am?" Dunowin exclaimed surprisingly. "Is that even possible? Hell. I just got out of the academy and that wasn't in any manual I saw. I mean, there was rumor of a Romulan vessel once doing back when Starfleet was pretty new but they never got their hands on the technology. I'm not even sure where to begin let alone know if it could be done in an hour. Ma'am." he quickly added as he looked around at the others in the room.

"They are dangerous and will shoot first and ask questions later Lieutenant. I wish I could answer your decade question but with the time distortion it has made me a bit dizzy."
Seth blinked, confused for a second but then quickly remembering the question Wolf was referring to. It had simply been a conversation starter, and if he was being truthful then the answer did not matter to him either way. Or perhaps it did where this mission was involved, the current state of it at least...
"Don't worry about it, sir," he said, watching the Commander collapse in the seat just inside the open shuttlecraft's hatch. He fiddled with the control panel attached to the transmitter. The return signal would be coming through very soon now, another minute if Seth was right. In the mean time he contemplated his and Wolf's safety. It had just occurred to him that while they had scanned the planet from orbit and found no lifesigns, nothing at all in fact, they could not be so sure of that now that they'd been thrown back two centuries.
His eyes turned to the rise off to their left - as they faced the location of the rest of the away team - and he scanned the high dunes of rock mesa. The tapered front of the shuttle he was near pointed in its direction, providing a convenient guide for the eyes to find the gap in the rocks. Seth frowned when he saw that chasming blackness cut in the rock. Had it been there before, back in the 24th century?
The signal came through, back from its trip and reflection off the Starfleet ship. It wasn't anywhere near close. Leaving Wolf with the shuttle for a moment, to allow her to steady herself, Seth headed back to the main group of the away team.
"Commander Parsons," Seth saw the Vesuvius XO first, "That ship we thought was in orbit? It isn't. It's half a light-year away. Not to worry, they'll know we're here now."
<tag Parsons>
Seth thought back to what Park had told him about, the masking of lifesigns, the temporal prime directive and... the temporal signatures. Of course... he thought, mentally slapping himself on the forehead.
Minutes later...
Seth stared in interest at the ghostly images constructed from sensory data, their whole geometrically-false bodies glowing red with the chroniton detection. Park was standing behind him, awaiting his report. "Sir, I have two weak temporal signatures in orbit of this planet." Seth eventually said to the Nevada's XO, "They both show the same magnitude of temporal displacement as ourselves. Or rather, they show zero temporal displacement just as ourselves. It's relative. Everything else reads off."
<tag Park>
"Affirmative, sir, it is a good bet that the Vesuvius and Nevada were displaced with us." He sighed, ".. I should get back to Wolf. I left with her the shuttle, she was feeling quite off." Seth turned away from Park, accidentally giving him the Wezean salute as he did so and kicking up the dust with his heels as he strode away from the scene. He tapped his commbadge as he walked, "Commander Wolf, this is Lieutenant Helacaan. How are things over there, sir?" Seth hoped nothing untoward had happened, leaving members of the team alone was ranging on the region of a mistake.

IKS D'aka
Zillah shifted her uniform over her slender body and made her way back to her tactical station. Mek'tor seemed aware of her ambitions to marry into a House of power. She wasn't one to sit back and wait for something to happen. She was the one that would get things done.
But not here, not now. Mek'tor would meet his accident in battle. It had happened before to those she felt were a threat.
Although suspicions were many, none could be proved.
"Commander D'Ghore, permission to conduct target practice?" Zillah asked quietly.
<TAG: D'Ghore>
"Into space, commander. There are small asteroids on our port side that will do."
Zillah calculated her trajectory and fired. There was a satisfying splinter of ice particles dissipating into space as the phaser found their target. She aimed again.... and missed.
A bright light flared in the distance and the outline of a massive starship was seen briefly. Zillah turned quickly, almost shouting, "Commander!! Did you see that?"

He saw the explosion it was aimed at them but his worry was that they just gave away there Position. This was not good then again it was his ship that highlight by phaser fire it was the Vesuvius. The Admiral had cloaked his ship still he wondered what the next move was. When the read outs came in it showed phaser power almost equal to there own.
It would appear the klingons had been busy what else had the managed to bring back with them. The problems just seemed to get bigger and bigger missing away team now a ship with modern advancements. It they didn't do something soon the balance of power in this sector wold change and every sector aftwards would fall.
Looking at the view screen get me the admiral on the line, sooner of later they are going to start looking for us if they havent already.

Sharon sat for a few minutes after Seth had left, then began work on the transmitter, she did some cross working and made a connection, after working through static and making adjustments she had something.
"Commander Wolf to either Nevada or Vesuvias come in." Sharon said hoping she would get an answer.
<Sonak,Runningwolf>
"Good to hear from you both, I have you both on a wind bad with changing frequencies, don't ask me how I managed it but I did, it will make it hard but not impossible for someone in this time period to find us, it will just slow them up for awhile." Sharon said.
<Sonak, Runningwolf>
Sharon was listening when Seth walked in and asked her how things were. "I have made contact with both ships on alternating frequencies." Sharon said.

Seth soon found out what Commander Wolf was doing. He wandered into the shuttlecraft, ducking under the heavy metallic edge that lined the top of the open hatch. Sharon was sitting at the communications console, working remotely on the transmitter by the looks of the commands she was entering. Seth considered himself an expert when it came to those sort of algorithms, he could recognise them from the proverbial 'mile off'.
"I have made contact with both ships on alternating frequencies," the Commander said.
"Really?" Seth said, surprise etched into his voice. "How?" Sharon showed him the algorithms she had used and the procedure she'd followed, Seth slowly growing into a dark mood as she went along. It was again something obvious. He'd failed to pick up on it and now he'd been made to look like a fool. Admittedly to no other person but himself, but his dignity was at stake here...
He was about to sit down and try to figure out how the channel could be reopened when a familiar voice burst over the comm. Sharon had had the channel opened already. They would've heard Seth's voice on the other end.
He glanced at her, clearly asking for permission to speak. "Colonel, Admiral, it's Lieutenant Helacaan. What's your situation, sirs?" Seth checked Sharon's panel; the channel was stable, they would be able to hold a decent length dialogue before the signal was lost. And then it would be fairly simple to get it back, once the ships passed back above the ecliptic.
<tag Runningwolf, Sonak Reckus>
Seth let the two COs of the Starfleet ships in orbit report their status, then started going through his mental checklist. "You are aware that we've been transported two hundred years into the past?" There was a positive response. "I'll report to the first officers, but if we're going to return to the ship I advise that you switch your sensors to scan for chroniton particles. You should be able to lock on to our lifesigns that way. That's how we detected you, scanning for a temporal displacement factor."
<tag Runningwolf, Sonak Reckus>
"I'll leave you to it, sir?" Seth said, looking at Sharon Wolf. <tag> With or without the CTSO, Seth was going to head back to the site with the rest of the away team. This is back and forth trekking was tiring, but unfortunately, very necessary. As he was en route, Seth once again used his commbadge to contact them. Tapping it, he started speaking, communicating directly with both first officers. There was no response.
"Hello?" he repeated again and again, fast becoming very worried. "This is Helacaan..."
Eventually he did reach the scene of the rest of the away team. There they all were, going about their assigned duties with seemingly nothing the matter. "Commander Park, sir. It seems my commbadge is malfunctioning. Commander Wolf has made contact with the Vesuvius and Nevada. We could be getting off of here soon."
<tag Park>
After Park had given everyone instructions, he got himself tapped through directly to the ships in orbit. Seth meanwhile worked on his commbadge. He was astounded to find, once he'd taken it all apart, that there was utterly nothing wrong with it. That's when he became aware that none of the away team's commbadges were working anymore. They still had full communication with the ships in orbit, that new fillip had not changed, but now there was a new mystery to solve.

Jon was shocked that they were in contact with there ships, Jon tapped his combadge as well. "=/\= Park to Nevada......" Jon was about to hit it again when a thought hit him. "What ever the commander did must be not able to be done to the combadges, Get the crew ready. Do we know if we are going to be beamed up or if we have to take the shuttle back to the ship and enter the clocking feild?"
<Tag Seth>
"Well lets go i would say we need to get back with our main ships and find out what is going on. That and i think a sensor lunched from the ship would be better then scanning here and risking changing the time line. I am sure we can make it clock and leave orbit once the scans are done and go directl into the sun leaving no evidance."

Jon went back to the other first officer we have contat with the Nevada and the Vesuvius, Lt. Helacaan has informed me that the link will go soon i say we get out of here and send down a probe."

Ma'am."
"Just one module Mr Dunowin," the Vulcan replied calmly, "and the rumour is exactly what I want you to draw your ideas from. It is no rumour, just highly classified, back then. I believe the sources are available to you now, as the technology has become..how do you call it? Reasonably open source? You will have access to the data, as I have the clearance to access it."
She almost smiled. "I am certain between the three of you, and Commander O'Malley, you will be able to do it. Only Minerva needs to be transformed, the other modules will remain with Nevada to keep her cloaked." She turned to her doctor and the visiting Doctor Grey. "Kerry-Anne, perhaps you would like to show our guest sickbay, I am certain she would appreciate seeing our state-of-the-art equipment, when your tasks are done. Mr Dunowin, I am certain, would appreciate a look at our phase cloak."
Again, she offered a half-smile. "Yes lieutenant, we have a phase cloak. You will not need to concern yourself with the Klingons flying into us, they will pass right through us, never knowing we were there. Now, time is of the essence, you have one hour."
She whirled around as suddenly a voice came over the intercom. One she didn't quite recognise.
"Colonel, Admiral, it's Lieutenant Helacaan. What's your situation, sirs?"
"Good to hear from you lieutenant," the Vulcan responded, surprise filtering through briefly before she managed to control it. "We are currently outfitting Vesuvius' primary module with holotechnology, to pass her off as an NX class vessel. The other two modules are keeping Nevada from detection by approaching Klingons."
"Sensors are being switched over," she ensured the Nevada officer, "be careful upon approach, the enemy is closing in. Your shuttle may be unable to outrun them. Set course for Minerva, Nevada is currently under cloak and cannot risk taking you aboard without being detected. Commander Parsons knows what to look for, to find us. Good luck lieutenant."

A smile cracked across his face when he heard his away team, as much as he wanted to respond he couldn't. The Vesuvius had gone through great lenghts to cloak his ship, and hear Commander Wold report on how they did was enough to keep him quite. He didn't want to take a chance and give a his position. Talking to the Vesuvuis was easier because of the location and short wave secure chanel.
It appeared the Admiral had things in hand and was working on getting the team back. They would have to hurry though they would arrive at the klingon ship location soon. He kept his focus on the kligon ship IKS D'aka and wondered what they were up too.
Open a secure channel to the Vesuvius " Well Admiral it looks like our little lost sheep will be coming home to the barn. Any idea how your going to handle the klingons you will be appearing on there senors soon enough. Its not like the Vesuvius will appear as a freighter your going to get a lot of questions from them.
On board the D'aka
"Commander we just detected a signal it would appear Federation, I'm working on breaking the signal now. From what I gather there are two ships but we are not picking anything up yet but a strange echo at the very edge of our range. Even still it would appear to be one ship and we are not close enough yet to identfy it"
Commander D'ghor just smiled he had a feeling it was going to be a good day. They had a possible ship to try there new weapons on. " Lt Mek'tor cloak the ship and make sure you have the power flow right. I don't want to scare off our new found visitors if we can avoid it, we have a chance for you to work out the bugs on the weapons system and see what they can do"
a few adjustments and the D'aka was gone cloaked by a feild 200 years from the future. No ship from this time would detect them. There unwanted visitors were about to get a rude awaking.
On the Nevada
He nearly jumped out his seat when the klingon ship disappeared from senors, it was gone with no energy readings like before. This was not going well they could appear anywhere while cloaked there senors readings would be hard to detect until the last possible moment.
Looking around his bridge " Yellow alert do not raise sheilds until that last moment possible where every the have gone I can promise you they will show up and we better be ready for anything"

Lucy glanced over at the CMO. Seeing the sickbay was a great idea. There would be new equipment there. Maybe.
"Hey, Kennedy, how big is your dental facilities? I've been working on a way to repair the root canal instead of stripping it. Not much luck, yet."
<TAG: Kennedy>
The two doctors got up and walked at a fair pace to the turbolift.
<TAG: Kennedy>
"Both. Doctor of dentistry and medical. The two go hand in hand. If you have a liver problem, your breath will start smelling of lemons. Faint, but there. Just like the yellow tinge in the vitreous humour. Heart problems can smell like sour apples."
<TAG: Kennedy>
The 'lift came to a stop and both women moved together through the doorway. Lucy hung back, allowing the ship's CMO to take the lead.

"Commander Parsons," Seth said approaching the Vesuvius XO, "That ship we thought was in orbit? It isn't. It's half a light-year away. Not to worry, they'll know we're here now."
"Any idea what type of ship it is Lieutenant," Parsons inquired.
<TAG Seth>
Helacaan reported that he had detected two signatures in orbit that were likely the Vesuvius and Nevada as well. The entire awayteam was relieved to hear this. Adam wondered if the ships had detected the awayteam yet.
A short time later, Commander Runningwolf made audio contact with the Vesuvius and Nevada. It was good to have communication restored. Seth returned to the awayteam's location and relayed the status update on the two orbiting ships to Commanders Park and Parsons.
Helacaan had now discovered that communication to the ship had been restored and Park was now communicating directly with the ships in orbit, however, person to person communication on the planet between awayteam members was malfunctioning. Adam assumed it still had something to do with the time shift, but he was not an engineer.
Commander Park suggested returning to the ships, by shuttle if necessary, and working on the time shift problem from there.
"I agree Commander, we can return to the planet once we have determined a course of action," Parsons concurred with Park.
As the awayteam made its way back to the shuttle, Lieutenant Helacaan reported the Admiral's order that the team return by shuttle craft to the Minerva, which was currently masquerading as an NX class vessel. The Nevada was under cloak from the other two-thirds of Vesuvius.

His sense were telling him things were about to go from bad to worse. The klingon ship had cloaked using modern technology. They had no idea where it was and the shuttle was on its way back to the Vesuvius. Which meant if he were a klingon it would make a tempting target because the Vesuvius would have to drop her shields to allow her to dock.
He was still concerned that the shuttle would become a target but there was little he could do about it but sit and wait for it. The only advantage was his ship was cloaked and could respond if need be but would they be in time.
On board the IKS D'aka
Turning to his Lt "Mek'tor have we identified the source of signal yet"
"Yes Commander its federation design but strange the power source for the signal is higher then normal. They could have boosted the signal, from what we have gathered so far they are about to leave the planet and head for the ship. We are still to far away to get a reading but from the signals we have gather she appears to be NX Class"
" Well Lt it appears you have given me a reason to let you live another day. Plot a course I want to intercept the shuttle as she docks and try out our new weapons. If all goes well the klingon empire will have new worlds to take and new glory to be had"
" Understood commander plotting intercept course we will arrive in 20 minutes, all systems are go Glory to the empire"

"What ever the commander did must be not able to be done to the combadges, Get the crew ready. Do we know if we are going to be beamed up or if we have to take the shuttle back to the ship and enter the cloaking feild?"
"We've been instructed by Admiral Reckus to take the shuttle," Seth answered Park in full. "She's split her ship into three sections. Two of the modules are protecting the Nevada. The main one has disguised itself on sensors as an NX class." Park gave the Wezean a curious look, Seth understanding straight away that the first officer was asking for an explanation: why did the Nevada need to be protected?
"We have another problem," Seth started to explain, "There are Klingons, from this era, closing in on the Nevada and Vesuvius modules' position."
"Well lets go i would say we need to get back with our main ships and find out what is going on," Park decided, "That and i think a sensor launched from the ship would be better then scanning here and risking changing the time line. I am sure we can make it cloak, leave orbit once the scans are done and go directly into the sun leaving no evidance."
Seth nodded. "Yes, sir, that should be well within our capabilities. Lieutenant Dunowin might've been better equipped for the job but he's not here, of course. I'll rig for the shuttle to launch a low-altitude probe to gather telemetry while we ascend back to our ships. Then, once it's done and we have received all of its data, it will destroy itself in the star. I should be able to modify it so that it remains blind to the Klingons' sensors. Their technology cannot be all that advanced so they should be easy enough to fool..."
<tag Park>
After labouriously gathering all of their equipment, Seth, Jon Park, Adam Parsons and the others trekked their way back to their shuttle, or small ship. As Park would have it, Seth thought amusedly.
"The probe is away," reported the Nevada's COO, when their shuttle - that they were now all safely aboard - was rising unsteadily past the five kilometre mark above the planet's surface. None of the officers inside could see the probe, in spite of their searching eyes' efforts, it had already dropped relatively far away below them.
The off-orange of the atmosphere, intermixed with its incidental tinges of piercingly sharp blue, gave in to the gradually increasing darkness of space. Seth watched as the scene faded, like that of a film, until it was dark enough for the iris of his eye to adjust, and in doing so it resolved the point sources of bright light that were the distant stars.
They closed in hard and fast, knifing a line through the vacuum towards the Vesuvius's Minerva module. Unfortunately, a Klingon ship was closing in just as fast. Seth could see it on the sensors and, barely on the viewscreen, as a vaguely olive-green speck moving up and to the right across the shuttle's forward screen. His eyes strayed just for a second from that small speck, and then he was unable to find it again. "It's gone," he muttered, looking down at his display, hoping that it would allow him to explain what he'd meant. Sure enough... "The Klingon ship has cloaked itself," he reported.
They were barely two minutes from the Vesuvius primary module's presented shield grid. No matter what Seth or Commander Wolf did, tachyon emittance or otherwise, they could not detect the cloaked Klingon ship for the two first officers. It could be stolen technology... Seth reasoned secretly.
The atmosphere on the mini-bridge of the shuttle was growing increasingly tense. None of them had an idea where the Klingon ship was; it could've already positioned itself between the shuttle and the Vesuvius for all they knew...
An uncomfortably loud crackle from the comm signified that the Vesuvius was contacting them.. Information was filtering through for the dropping of the shields, Seth gleaned.
"Sir, If I may?" He looked at Parsons and Park, requesting of one of them that he be allowed to communicate with the Vesuvius. After a quick nod from one of them, he rushedly spoke to the console, "Vesuvius, Minerva or whichever... We're ready to pass through your shield grid. Let's hope the Klingons don't decide to interrupt." As the feelings of adrenaline started to fade, knowing that they were perhaps safe, Seth felt genuinely fearful. Who knew if the Klingons were ready to pounce? It was like going to sleep at night, knowing there was a wasp somewhere in your room, ready to spring its surprise.

David watched the shield grid, the shuttle, and his attempts to find the Klingon ship intently. He couldn't explain it, there were no distortions whatsoever that could reveal the cloak. "Why can't we find it, this is ancient cloaking technology!" he shouted, and the engineering crew, adjusting to their recently appointed chief engineer, stared at him blankly.
"Ensign Green, scan on all the bands you can try and find that vessel!" He hated not being able to solve a problem, but at least the shield grid was holding. The shuttle came towards them, and, just when he thought all was well, he saw a flash of green. 'Torpedo'.

Jay saw the torpedo moving toward the small craft, he quickly maneuvered the module to intercept the torpedo to protect the shuttle. The Admiral would not like her ship damaged, but he figured that she would prefer to save the away team over preventing a black mark on the hull. The ship came to life as it moved at full impulse. The ship moved closer to the torpedo, only seconds now… 1 Kilometer, .5 kilometers...
The ship listed as Jay pulled the controls to a hard left, "Impact!" he yelled, as the ship shuddered. Sparks came out of several consoles, burning the unlikely victims. Jay took a deep breath, and turned around to accept punishment from the Admiral. <Tag Reckus>

"Understood lets get back to the Nevada." Jon stepped into the shuttle and sat in the back, Jon felt the ship lift off and the shutter of the probe leaving the ship.

Uss Nevada Shuttlebay
Jon stepped off the shuttle and turned to Seth, "Seth get the other members of the awayteam either Quaters or Arraneg to have them returned to there ship. I will be on the bridge."
Jon walked out of the shuttlebay and walked to the closest turbolift and said "Bridge." Jon stood in his uniform facing the door when the lift opened he stepped out seeing his Commanding officer in the center chair. "Sir the awayteam has returned may i ask what is going on?"

Park turned as the doors opened again and the other members of the awayteam who were part of this crew walked onto the bridge including the new CSTO.

The yell from Parsons, or somebody, Seth couldn't tell for absolutely sure, told him something was very wrong. He had been in full flow communicating with an autonomous, pseudo-sentient computer device that formed part of the Vesuvius's docking mechanisms. Startled out of this bewilderingly frustrating conversation between man and machine, he twisted to see what the problem was. Something made him jerk back around to his console display, and only then did he figure out the extent of the problem.
Inbound torpedo. The shuttle veered, its pilot trying to avoid the homing-in pod of destructive energy, launched from a two-centuries old Klingon ship admittedly, but nevertheless a dangerous device. As if out of the blue, Minerva, the module of Vesuvius the shuttle was about to mate with, swerved up and across them, its thrusters igniting and providing instant acceleration.
Seth braced for impact, but the expected shock of a highly kinetic weapon striking their aft-quarters never came. He scanned Minerva even as the shuttle was re-manoevuring to begin a final docking approach on it. It had taken a heavy hit to its prow-dorsal shielding but it was holding well. Even with the added momentum of the impact because of Minerva's own forward movement (with respect to the cloaked D5), the Starfleet module was fine.
Seth got out of the shuttle; stepping off it on to the shuttlebay floor, he looked to the closing door of the whole bay. It couldn't close fast enough, in his opinion. The sooner they were safe from the hidden Klingon vessel the better. Minerva, Vesuvius for that matter, as well as the Nevada of course, were not out of the worse of it by far.
While Commander Park returned to the Nevada to see the Colonel, Seth chose to remain behind on the Vesuvius module. He turned to a junior gold-collared crewmember. "Where is your Admiral?" he asked, to which he received the answer 'the bridge'.
Seth ambled at a fast pace to the bridge of the Minerva module, being concerned that every so often the ship rocked, quite substantially. This wasn't right.... If those were the Klingons attacking again, even with their torpedoes, there was no possible way they could be doing this much to the Minerva. Far too powerful, he knew. Could it be experimental tech? Stolen from enemy? Stolen... temporally?
He didn't even announce himself as he entered the module's bridge. "Admiral Reckus," he stated, standing at the back of the bridge and coming-to in his stance. He was to be respectful before a member of the admiralty, no matter the tenseness of the predicament, situation, whatever one wished to call it. "Our shuttle docked safely, sir."
Giving as of yet no explanation as to why he was present, Seth stepped down to the command arena, casting a glance at the junior officer at the helm. His ashen gaze switched to the Admiral now before him. "What's going on out there?" he asked simply. "Why is your ship being pummelled?"

Feeling anxious, but giving no outward sign of her feelings, the Vulcan admiral sat perfectly still in her command chair, eyes fixed on the battle displayed on the main viewscreen. Fresh faces had appeared on her bridge, and though generally Sonak prided herself in knowing her crew, she couldn't remember ever having seen them before. Beside her, in Parsons' absence, Commander Harper looked equally intense, mirroring her feelings but making less of an attempt to hide them.
She sat up straighter as suddenly they were hailed.
"Vesuvius, Minerva or whichever... We're ready to pass through your shield grid. Let's hope the Klingons don't decide to interrupt."
"Too late," Sonak replied as one of the Klingons swerved to intercept, then suddenly disappeared altogether. She heard grumbles about ancient technology while she kept her gaze fixed on the approaching shuttle. "On my mark," she ordered the speaker, not recognising his voice.
She listened, exchanging worried glances with Mark, as a torpedo was prepared to be fired at the Klingon's last known location. From then, mayhem ensued as she felt the ship swerve to evade whatever was coming at them.
"Impact!" he yelled.
Sonak felt the ship shudder as something had slammed into the hull. Was it the shuttle? Was the shuttle all right? What about the occupants?. She strained to look around at the speaker.
"Report!" she snapped at him, "damage report! Where are the Klingons, can we fire at them? Destroy them if you need to, but keep this module safe!"

Bright green eyes settled on the newcomer. "Who are you," she demanded, before seeing her first officer enter the bridge. "I would think you would know what goes on out there. Whatever you did, it stranded us here in the past, attacked by ancient Klingons who possess technology they ought not have. Explain yourself," she demanded, not even taking notice of his ashen face.
"Commander Parsons, get yourself cleaned up, and report back for duty. I am eager to hear your explanation of all of this. As I am sure Colonel Running Wolf will be."
The Vulcan turned to her helmsman. "Return us to the other modules, engage cloaking device." She paused. "Excellent shooting, mr Drumlin," she added.

Sharon had busied herself in the shuttle, at least she had communications going with both ships, Seth had rejoined her, she knew she looked better and with the system working she definitely felt better.
The rest of the away team joined them adn they left the surface once they were clear they headed for the the Vesuvius to return her first officer and crew. Sharon caught the klingon torpedo out of the corner of her eye.
"Hang on everyone." Sharon said taking the shuttle into evasive maneuvers. The shuttle did as best as it could then she saw the torpedo explode from a shot from the vesuvius, she was grateful for that and headed to where the shot originated from, they landed in the shuttlebay long enough for her to drop off the passengers. They left ad headed to Nevada without a problem.
Commander Park got off first once the shuttle was shut down, Sharon was tired but knew she would be needed on the bridge, hopefully between the Admiral and the Captain they will be able to get this mess straight. She got on the lift after Jon got on and headed to the bridge, she got off right behind him and walked by, her hand slightly touching his as she walked by and headed to her post.

"Sir, I maneuvered the Module to intercept the torpedo, the ship recieved minimal damage, and I believed that you would rather save a few lives then worrying about the ship's cosmetics." Jay said, he was taking a long shot, as he was not familiar yet with his new Commanding officer.

"Aye Ma'am, plotting a course." Jay said to the Admiral as they ship made a left turn. He hoped that his promotion to chief Navigational officer would not be a short one.
