Realizing the captain might escape, she placed her combadge on him.
Hearing the order for her to be arrested, she submits and is beamed directly to the brig as well, and she sees Commander Hope is waiting for her. She knows what she must do now.
"What do you think you were doing?" She asks.
"Ma'am, permission to speak?" She says, and it is granted.
"I defected to the maquis to aide in stopping them. I am sorry, and should have gotten permission to go ahead with my plan. A spy would work here, and I think I can accomplish it. If you don't think so, then I understand and will not say another word about it. I just hope you will let me out of here and back to duty, so I may continue to serve aboard this vessel for where ever I may be of best service. Before I forget, I put my combadge on the captain in a place he won't find it." She says hoping she will be let out.

S'reena tapped her foot as she listened to the cadet's explanation. It did make sense, but she had disobeyed orders and had purposefully endangered herself and her crewmates. She let the young woman sweat for a long moment as she pondered on it; the idea sounded very familiar. ~of course~ she thought ~it resembles my situation when Keztrek and her family had been abducted on Betazed, by Romulans~
Finally she sighed and motioned for the guard to lower the forcefield. "You may return and continue your little spy game, but remember to heed advice from instructors if the see a chance to give you any....and be very very careful. I need not remind you that you will be going on report for this little stunt of yours?"
At Anderson's nod, S'reena dismissed the younger woman, and with a sigh headed back to the bridge, unaware that she was being followed by a small group of Maquis from the point where she was halfway between the holding cell area, and the nearest turbolift. (ie: they did not overhear the conversation between s'reena and anderson, and thus do not know that she's a spy)

Slowly, Gary opened the hatch that opened into Engineering. Yup, just as he feared, it was in intruder hands. The engineering crew were being held at phaser point.
As he sat and listened, he heard the word "Maquis", along with a demand to unlock the warp core. Someone out of his line of sight was putting up a brave front. "Or what? You'll start killing us? We all knew the risks we took on when we put on our uniforms. We're all under oath to face them just to keep your hands off the core. Killing us will also kill the codes."
There. While no one was watching. Just in his reach, was a phaser, and a padd. A quick examination showed that whatever was on the padd had beef deleted moments before, and was empty.
with a quick nervous glance at the back of the maquis heads, he downloaded information from the damage control console into the padd. With the padd and phaser in hand, he sneakfooted his way back to the jeffries tube.
Before closing the hatch, he crosswired the controlls for the main doors, and other escape hatches, so once sealed they would be offline untill he released him (several trips up and around the jeffries tubes to accomplish this) Then, to complete his task, he hacked his way into the fire suppression system, and caused a leak in a Tri-Nethelene gas emission unit. This would be even faster than chloriform in rendering all unconcious. He had to make it a slow leak so no one would hear it, or smell it, or worse, die from it, but in an hour, all would be asleep. Unfortunately, this included Starfleet personel, but once it all was vented, security could move in and secure engineering.
Gary closed the hatch, and activated the leak. The venting timer, synced with the leak being closed, was set for one hour.
Before continuing on his repairs, he would have to find a way to track the Maquis, to avoid surprises. Ah yes. He'd "paint" their lifesigns. He'd have to make his way to the computer core, and access internal sensors. He'd speak directly to it, but now was still time to keep silent. He began his journey, worried all the way that he'd get busted right out of the academy for knocking out the Cief Engineer.

After arriving back on the Hanson, Illito glanced at Dr. Black. She could tell that he wanted to ask what had happened between her and Anderson, but he was too polite to question her. She regretted that she had ever thought he could have joined the Maquis. "What do we do now?" she asked.
She was pretty sure that Maquis were trying to take over the ship, and it seemed to her like she and Dr. Black couldn't do the most if they were hit over their head or fired upon while they were trying to get to sickbay.
There were also numerous people on the bridge who looked like they could use medical assistance. Illito glanced again at Dr. Black and remembered that she had been running low on medical supplies. "Should we go to the sickbay?" she asked. "I could use some more supplies. Of course, it might be dangerous to go back. What do you think?" she asked, unsure of what she would recommend. She would probably say that they should stay on the bridge, it seemed to her like it would be better to be able to help the people who needed help here than to maybe make it to sickbay and to be able to help the people who maybe also made it there. She didn't know how much a threat of the Maquis were, however, so it could be perfectly safe to take a walk.
She could see that Dr. Black was looking at her, he obviously expected her to solve her own problems. And possibly make new ones. "I think," Illito started hesitantly, gaining more certainty as she continued. "I suggest that we stay on the bridge and make ourselves as useful as we can." Illito glanced at Dr. Black, hoping he agreed. Well, she supposed that he did trust her enough to let her make the decision, so maybe she could choose the best of two possible options. She smiled at Dr. Black, feeling a little more confidant of her abilities as a medical officer.

(OOC: I have received a private e-mail about the use of ether in fire supression systems, so I've gone back and edited the message. This time, I've used a made up word. I hope this satisfies all concerned.)
IC: On arrival at the computer core, Gary chose the option of inputing his commands by keypad only, as he was still nervous about being heard, though not as terrified as when he was in engineering.
[Gary: "Computer, Isolate biosigns of all Maquis on USS Hanson."] he typed.
[Computer: "Define parameters of requested search."]
Nothing was ever easy.
[Gary: "Scan and display all humanoid lifesigns onboard USS Hanson."]
A deck by deck layout of the ship was displayed, showing an Amber dot for each person onboard.
[Gary: "Isolate all Starfleet personel, and civilian personel listed in the ships registry, and change their color to blue. Display all biosigns that remain as color red. Continue scan, showing movement throughout the ship.]
He now had a running scan of the Maquis. He noticed some additional blue dots appeared in the transporter room, but almost immediately moved to the bridge. There were currently no red dots on the bridge, though some red dots moving about various corridors were obviously trying to get there, but they were unable to get there, due to the damage to the ship giving them roadblocks. Some ran into faulty hatchdoors, others found their desired turbolift wasn't online. This info would be valuable to whoever was up there.
He'd have to transfer these scans to the bridge, but which station? Tactical would need to be monitoring whoever did all of this damage on the ship-to-ship battle display. The Engineering station wold have to be monitoring the repair efforts. Communications? sure. On their display.
[Gary: "Computer, transfer a copy of this program the bridge engineering station, Visual only. Silence audio." Link this display, visual only, to the Engineering tricorder in my toolkit."]
Once done, he made his way back to main Engineering, and checked to see if his program had run its course. It had. After a quick check of the bioscan on his tricorder to insure no one was near enough to hear him, he spoke aloud.
"Computer, what is the status of the biosigns in Main Engineering?"
"All biosigns in main engineering are inert."
"Has tri-Nethelene gas been vented?"
"There is no trace of Tri-Nethelene gas present in Main Engineering."
Gary opened the hatch, and stepped out. Laying on the floor were all of the Maquis, and Engineering crew alike. Gary noticed that the Engineers were shackled.
After searching one body after another, he found the release device. He used it to remove the shackles from the Engineering crew, and transfer them to the Maquis.
Then, after collecting all of the Maquis weapons, he stood back to wait out their recovery. Boy would he be in trouble for knocking out the Chief Engineer.

Illito glanced at Zoë, and was surprised to notice that she had regained the baby. She smiled at Zoë. “I guess you didn’t expect to have to keep him.”
Zoë looked at Illito, with a little embarrassment. “I couldn’t very well leave him there,” she responds. “But now...I don’t know what to do.”
Illito looked again at the child. He seemed to be sleeping peacefully now. But even though he wasn’t crying now didn’t mean he couldn’t suddenly wake up, and Illito was sure that Zoë knew that at least as well as Illito did. “His parents are probably both dead,” said Illito. “No matter who they were.”
“I know,” replied Zoë quietly. “But isn’t there someone else who can take care of him?”
Illito ignored Zoë’s question, very much aware that Zoë already knew the answer, and she probably didn’t want to hear it again. “I think he should have some sort of a name. It is a little strange to keep calling him ‘the baby.’ ”
“I guess so,” responded Zoë. “But I can’t keep him. I have to give him to someone else. Don’t I?” she asked, looking hesitantly around the bridge. “But where can I put him? Isn’t everyone else also busy? Besides,” Zoë added, growing more assertive. “He is my responsibility.” Illito watched as Zoë looked at the Counselor, and she could tell how much Zoë wanted to keep the baby.
Honestly, however, she had no idea what Zoë could do. A ship under attack didn’t seem like the best place for a child, but leaving him for the Maquis seemed like an even worse idea.

"The Hanson has been disabled by an electrical storm, Ado." Elizabeth Hart reported to her commander. Antony was monitering the Tactical Station, one of the few places he felt at home.
"Can we transport more officers onto the Hanson to assist Kreghor?" Ado asked.
Tony answered the question before Hart could, "The electric storm is causing to much interference." Hart shot him a dirty look.
"What about communicating with him, we need to know if he's encountering problems." Ado was directing the questions to Tony instead of his first officer now.
"Same problem. But I could tell you without talking to him that he's encountering problems. He's been over there almost 45 minutes, if they had been able to do it efficiently we would have heard from him at least 20 minutes ago. S'reena obviously knows that they are there."
Ado nodded, accepting what he had probably already known, "Keep monitoring it."
OFF:
Illito Tinagel: Help the wounded on the bridge.
Paris: Repair your station.
Owens: Make sure the engineers are alright and restore main power.
Farquhar: Try to capture some of the intruders. Head to engineering to help Owens with the Maquis.
Zoe: Assist Illito on the bridge.

Realizing no one would believe she escaped, she takes her weapon and stuns the man remaining in the brig area. She takes her things and a padd full of command codes. While heading to the shuttle bay, she stops enroute to compose a message and saves it.
Once in the shuttle bay, she holds the personnel at bay while wanting to transport to one of the maquis vessels. She knows it will be impossible to use the transporter in an electical storm, so she must take a small shuttle craft to the planet.
"You won't get away with this cadet." One of them says. She smiles and commands the computer to send her message she wrote earlier. She waits for a reply, and gets one quickly telling her she is welcome to come with her information. She stuns all personnel, commandeers a small craft, and, knowing she will be in major trouble for this, she shoots the bay doors open. She heads for the planet just barely getting out of the storm.
Once on the planet she heads for the abandoned villages on the east hoping it is a different ship and crew, because she doesn't want to run into the captain, since he knows who she is and what she is up to. She finds the village and immediately complies with the leader.
"I have command codes here, and you can have them, but I want to be part of your crew. I can't go back now, because I know they won't take me. Besides that isn't for me, and I know it. I belong with you and yours." She says hoping she will be convincing. He believes her and they both are beamed to his ship.
Once aboard the vessel moves away from the planet, and she gives them the codes she has. She knows the captain is looking her over, and wonders what he wants, but thinks she knows.
"I suggest we get you a change of clothing. After all you aren't Star Fleet any more. Your codes will prove useful later on, but for now I make you one of us. Barick will show you where you can change." He said talking to one of the ladies, who complies and she follows.

"This way, we'll replicate something for you. It's very informal here so you can where whatever you like really..." Tony watched as the friendly junior Maquis talked cheerfully to Anderson. Soon the woman led Anderson off the bridge to pick out her outfit. Tony had already changed uniform. He had chosen to keep the bottom half of his starfleet uniform but had replaced the trademark top with a dark green dress shirt and a brown vest. He had also gotten a shave. Tony Marcell was feeling very good in his new life as an outlaw.
But had emotions quite different then that concerning the new addition to their crew. Anderson was going to do something to ruin it all. The chance that she had defected for real was quite slim in Tony's eyes. He was sure she was here on orders from S'reena, or someone else on the Hanson.
Antony was feeling the same intense hate he had felt for his first officer just before leaving the Hanson, only toward Anderson this time.
He excused himself from the bridge and followed Anderson and the other woman. He waited until she had changed into her uniform and then entered the room.
Looking at the Maquis woman he said, "Please leave us." Although he was new, his age and former position had landed him some seniority. The woman's grin vanished from her face, replaced with suspiscion, but she obeyed his order. He couldn't talk to Ado Tahl about this. Ado wouldn't believe him about Anderson. But Tony could try to scare her off the ship.
Once she had left he turned on the remaining woman, "What the heck do you think your doing!? Couldn't leave well enough alone, huh, cadet?!" He moved closer to her, "You all ruin my life as a starfleet officer and then you come after me to finish me off? I don't believe this crap for a second. Defecting?!" He gave a snort of laughter.
"Well, cadet, whatever your trying to do, won't work."
OFF: Tag Anderson.
Cadet's on the Hanson- you probably want to get started on repairs.
Oh and Crave: how's Kreghor doing?

We are a small band, and notice that the power has gone out. The ship shakes suddenly, and, being in many of them before, she realizes the Hanson is in an electrical storm. She smiles knowing things will be a little easier now. Krind and the others under her start to wonder what will happen next. She tells them to shut up and follow her. They start toward the bridge.
Meanwhile on the bridge, a couple of consoles explode sending several cadets and officers flying. A fire starts from the science station, and a couple people run to put it out when the system to put out fires doesn’t respond. Ops tries to work on communications, and finds he can send messages, but that the combadges don’t work. Several scurry to get back to their stations, while a couple lay unconscious.
Once there, they know a surprise attack needs to happen, or they won’t be able to take the bridge. She remembers a few tunnels heading to the bridge, and knowing there is no power to keep them out, she commands a few to stay there telling them she will signal them at the right moment to charge the bridge from the turbo lifts.
She and a three others head to the tunnels leading to the bridge, and get to the sealed section in no time. She sends a message to Rotin, to send a few more of their little band to the other side of the bridge tunnels. He responds that he is a couple steps ahead, and that Res is waiting for word from her.
She contacts Res, and tells him to break into the sealed portion by pulling the doors open, which she has one of the men do at the same time. They get into position, and Res says there are in position. She sends her signal, and they all raid the bridge quickly.
A security officer starts to shoot at her, and hits one of the men beside her instead. She takes him out, and then points her weapon at the commanding officer.
“If anyone moves I will kill her. We don’t want any more trouble from you people.” She says quickly, and another man moves for his weapon. He gets it and tries to shoot her, but lucky for her Res is quicker.
“Thank you, brother. That was a bold move from him, and I am ready to kill if need be, so don’t tempt me!” She shouts.
“Calm down, Arina, I got him. You are doing well for your rank.” Res says smiling, but not taking his eyes off two officers nearby.
“Shut up, Res, and do your job. As for these people, get them all together and disarm them. We don’t want them to get any bright ideas, and try to play hero here. Rikum take the helm, Tos open a channel to Ado Tahl. We must inform him we have taken the bridge. I want a report on the other parties. How are they doing in engineering?” She says sitting down in the captain chair, which she finds very comfortable.
“Ma’am, those in engineering met with resistance. I have also noted we are being tracked by sensors. I am attempting to make sensors give a false reading, there done. We are no longer easily found. However they can still track us, just not as good. There is a message here from an Owens telling us about the difficulties our parties are having getting here. What do you want me to do?” Rodduck says from the security.
“Tell him all is well, and thank him for the information. Make it sound like you are Star Fleet though. We don’t want to alarm them. Also make sure they can’t gas us, as we don’t want to lose control of the bridge. Now that I think about it, take off the combadges, and put them on yourselves. Res and Kurick go and find this Owens and bring him to me alive.” She orders they do as they are told.

Realizing she was actually on the same ship as the captain, she became nervous. She knew he would never believe she was actually there because she disagreed with several things the first officer had done. She was offended by several of the crew, and wanted to be on the winning side, no matter what the cost.
“Sir, I have no intention of fouling anything up here. You left because of what they did to you, and I had no part in it. I am here because they offended me, and besides I want to be part of the winning team. I know this is the winning team, and that Star Fleet has no chance in stopping us. I am here to serve in any way I can. If you think I would do better on another ship, then let me know, and I will gladly serve there. I am here to help, and I don’t believe in the Star Fleet cause in this any more. S’reena doesn’t know what she is doing any more, and besides I was offended by several of the crew. They think I am incapable of my duties, and I don’t want to serve under anyone who thinks that. Here I feel my talents will be used to their fullest. I am not here to capture you sir, but to aide you. When we were on the planet, I noticed a couple officers and cadets watching me, so I put my combadge on you to track you. You may still have it on you. I have come here with a second combadge to be sent anywhere you wish. As for the first, we can send it somewhere else to confuse them, and when they try to beam you to the brig, they don’t get what they want.” She says hoping to help him more than anything right now.

S'reena jumped from her chair when the Maquis suddenly came charging onto the bridge. Clearly, the security officer Cadet Farquhar had posted on each exit had been taken by surprise. She found herself standing face to face with a young woman who was training a weapon on her. Clearly, this woman knew her species, for instead of aiming the weapon on her chest, she was aiming directly for the heart.
The Romulan first officer clenched her jaws together and grinded her teeth in held back anger, as a young man snatched her combadge, as well as her own phaser. Looking at the woman, she noticed how young she actually was, she could be no older than early twenties. To her surprise, the Maquis didn't spot her Honor Blade, the weapon that had saved her life already quite a few times.
Looking around, she met the gazes of her fellow officers, and their respective trainees. They were rounded up together, and herded into the readyroom. S'reena stalled as much as possible, so that she was the last one to be pushed in. Then, she suddenly turned and landed a roundhouse kick right in the nearest Maquis stomach. The young man grunted and went down.
When she landed, S'reena quickly drew her blade, and slashed at the other person. That were two down, but there were many to go. She was so pre-occupied with taking these few Maquis down, that she didn't notice the leading female turning towards her.

While putting the crew in another room, she notices the commanding officer lash out at two of her men. She draws her phaser.
"Freeze there or the consequences could be fatal for you. All you have is a blade, and we have phasers. If there is something you want, then ask, but if not then drop the blade and get in there with your crew. We will be needing your doctor and his aide now to make sure no real harm came to my men, or you may live to regret it." She says holding the phaser aiming at her heart.
She didn't want to kill her, but if she must she would. The older woman doesn’t listen to her, and she is forced to shoot. She shoots her right above her heart not wanting to kill her completely. The woman drops her blade, puts her hands over her new wound, and falls to the floor. She looks dead, but we can never be too sure. I order one of my men to check, not wanting to get hurt if she isn't dead. He kicks her and she doesn't move. She is sprawled out with her hands over her wound, as if it would help.
“Get that doctor in here, and if they want to treat their commanding officer, then they will have to treat my people first. When she is revived, after treating my men, I want her next to me tied up, so I can keep an eye on her.” She says holstering her phaser. She turns back to the task at hand.

Illito met S’reena’s eyes as the Maquis rounded them up. Her fists clenched, she felt so helpless. There should be some way to prevent all this, she thought. Illito watched as S’reena lashed out at guards. She wished her commanding officer luck, but she doubted that Commander S’reena would be successful. Illito watched as the Maquis leader shot S’reena.
“So you want my help in healing your people?” Illito asked. "My help? A Cardassian?"
The Maquis glanced at Illito. “Are you going to help heal my people, or are your own going to die?”
“Well,” responded Illito, sarcastically. “We should avoid loss of life on either side, don’t you agree? We would hate for someone to be killed, it would be such a sorrow.”
“Just do your work,” snapped the leader.
“With pleasure,” Illito replied, turning to one of the Maquis that her Commander had cut with her knife. She watched as Dr. Black turned to help another. He seemed to be resigned to helping.
After most of the Maquis were healed, Illito turned to back to the Maquis leader. “Now may we heal the Commander?”
"I don't feel like letting you," replied the Maquis. “She caused trouble, and now she is paying the price.”
“So much for your famous Maquis morality,” responded Illito. “Oh, wait, you’re famous for not having any morality at all, aren’t you?”
Illito stared at the Maquis leader, and she could feel the hatred emanating from her. Illito could tell how much the leader wanted to shoot her, and Illito half hoped the Maquis would finish what she had started when they had taken over the bridge. But she doubted the Maquis had the courage to shoot a now-unarmed cadet.
“You can heal your Commander,” the Maquis leader gave in. “But don’t try to escape.”
“I wouldn’t dream of it,” Illito snapped back.

"Okay, change of plans," Crave told Gordous, now heading straight for the scream. When they got there little was left for them to do. Johnson, Kline, Fieryheart and McCallen were already at the scene, where several Borg refugees held their weapons fixed on the surprised Maquis. S'reena's voice came over the comm, calling Crave to apprehend Anderson and Marcell. "Cadet," Crave said sternly, moving towards Anderson, "not that it will be information you couldn't have figured yourself, you are relieved of duty until further notice." He rudely detached her communicator. Johnson, take her.
He swiftly looked around, but couldn't find Marcell at the instant. "Gordous, Fieryheart, you're with me, hurry, we must find the captain, Kline watch over this bunch!" Crave ordered, breaking into a run, scouting the surrounding area. Crave cast a look to the right, and saw a shadow swiftly diving around the corner of one of the obliterated buildings. He came to a dead stop, and turned to follow the figure. "Marcell!" Crave, called out, the man turned, but continued evading the rubble. Crave's anger wasn't the best help imaginable when chasing someone. He hit a few objects, but denied the bruises and bumps on his legs. Marcell'd taken a hard left, and Crave cam skidding around the corner, just in time to see the last sparkles of a transporter beam take captain Marcell away.
=/\= Wesson to Hope... =/\=
But no response came. Damn it! Crave kicked a piece of rock away, and decided to move back to where they'd assembled the captured Maquis agents. The other security team members were already back. Crave briefly explained how Marcell'd gotten away, and then took his men back to the shuttle. #System start aborted#, Crave eyes the shuttle's console in disbelief. "Sir?" Kline asked. "This stupid thing doesn't wanna fly," Crave said moodily. Rerouting auxiliary power appeared to work at first, but then the console shorted out, and Crave was just in time able to shield his eyes from the shower of sparks that erupted.
"Damn, damn, damn!" Crave called, hitting the console. The shuttle started, and the systems were initialized. "Huh?" Crave gave the console a suspicious look. "Stupid technology," he muttered. The shuttle lifted off the ground, and Crave steered it towards space. "Gentlemen welcome aboard Crave airlines, please fasten your seat belts and pray for your lives," Crave said, a smile on his face, as the shuttle shivered when it shot upwards. The security men laughed.
This time the shuttlecraft was not taken under fire by the Maquis vessels, and Crave had a pretty easy job in getting the shuttle back to the Hanson. Crave brought the shuttle to the Hanson's docking area, but couldn't manage to get into contact with the ship. "Then we'll just do it kick-in-the-door-style," Crave said, powering up the shuttle's phaser bank. "Sir?" Kline's voice came. "What?" Crave asked targeting the phaser. "The other shuttlebay has already been blast open, so to see." "Oh..." Crave fell silent for a second, "oops, we'd better use that then." He smiled.
Crave maneuvered the shuttlecraft into the bay, and it smoothly slit through the forcefield. The craft touched down and Crave and his men got out. Something was not right, Crave thought at the sight of the Hanson's abandoned corridors. "We'd better head to the bridge, be on your guard an keep your arms ready, I don't know what we can expect to find," Crave ordered his men.
The way to the bridge was silent, and exhausting, since the turbolifts did not appear to be online. The doors to the bridge were closed, and Crave had his men stand bye. "Now!" Crave called, and the detail breached the door, their guns aiming straight at the Maquis heads that appeared to have the bridge in their possession. "My, my," Crave said, "what an interesting welcoming party. Now dear, why don't you put that down, before you hurt yourself."

ooc: anderson had permission to take the bridge as an attacking party of Maquis, and temporarily kill S'reena <ie not permanent!>
S'reena moved quickly, taking a third Maquis down as the woman in control yelled at her to stop. The Romulan could care less for her own life, and if her death resulted in more dead Maquis, and the safety of the crew, then so be it.
She only looked up long enough to see the woman take aim with her phaser, and she steeled herself for the stun that would be coming. Her eyes widened as she felt the blast hit her, just above her heart and as she fell, she knew she was mortally wounded.
The blade clattered to the deck from her senseless hand, and S'reena stared at it in wonder, as if the limb wasn't her own. She clutched at the injury, and felt blood gush over her hands as she slid down the wall and sprawled onto the deck. Just as her vision went black, she saw Black and Tintagel rush onto the bridge. She didn't feel a fourth Maquis kick at her body anymore, as by then she had died.

Off:I was kinda hoping to be in engineering when the staff awoke so gary wouldn't be operating alone, but orders are orders. Perhapse with the other cadets also making repairs, Gary can interact with a couple or few enroute through the Jeffries tubes.
ON: While Gary waited for the Engineering staff to wake up, he checked the ships status on the damage control station.
This was not good.
The Engineers weren't the only ones down and out. The ship itself was being pounded by an electrical storm, with parasites (Maquis) onboard. He checked his tricorder with the running sensor sweep and found the bridge had been taken.
OFF: No one mentioned noticing the communications display of this very info, so I'll assume no one did notice it.
ON:Gary updated his padd with current repair information, remotely hid the bridge display of maquis locations, then typed in the following request:
[Security teams neaded to retake the bridge, medical response needed in Main Engineering]
Afterwards, he accessed the main power grid, and found where the coulpling had been severed between the power core, and the Impulse engines. He would head there first. Then shields. Then bulkheads and turbolifts so he could get out of these Jeffries tubes.
OFF:can anyone think of anything else needing fixed?

Illito rushed towards Commander S’reena, and tried to take her pulse. Illito attempted to stay calm. She remembered what the Commander was Romulan. Was there anything special about Romulans that she would have to remember well trying to save her? She knew that Vulcans sometimes went into a trance when hurt, maybe Romulans did the same thing? Well, she would try to revive the Commander. She could hardly do anything else.
Illito noticed Dr. Black was coming toward her, shaking his head sadly. “What is it?” she whispered.
“The Maquis I was looking at is dead,” he replied.
“So?” asked Illito. “I wouldn’t think that it is exactly something to cry about.”
“It’s loss of life,” replied Dr. Black, confused. “Don’t you care?”
“Not about the Maquis,” Illito whispered back. “Now, if we want to prevent further loss of life, I think we should try to heal Commander S’reena.”
“Go ahead,” he responded. “I have faith in you.”
Illito grabbed the medical tricorder and scanned Commander S’reena. It seemed like she could still be healed, but not now.
“Try to stabilize her condition,” instructed Dr. Black
“Is that okay now?” asked Illito, looking carefully at the Commander, who still wasn’t breathing.
“It's fine for now. But we can’t try to revive her until we can get to sickbay,” replied Dr. Black.
“Will we be able to do more once we do get there?” Illito was worried, very worried. Who was in charge if both the Captain and the Second-in-Command were disabled? On a Starfleet vessel? Illito wasn’t sure, but it hardly seemed to matter just now. But she liked having some idea of what would come next, and she found it easier to try to figure out what would happen after they regained the ship from the Maquis than to think about what would happen if they couldn’t regain control.

Just as she had dealt with the older woman, the medical cadet gives her some trouble. She doesn’t really have time to deal with her right now as a security detail has just arrived on the bridge. They are aiming at the heads of her party, and she cleverly aims at one of the doctors, while she notices her brother aims at the other.
"My, my," Crave said, "what an interesting welcoming party. Now dear, why don't you put that down, before you hurt yourself?"
“I am not a little child who doesn’t know how to use a phaser. Besides if u don’t get your men to put theirs down, then I may end up hurting a doctor instead.”

Illito watched as Crave entered the bridge and she noticed the phaser that was now aimed at her. She doubted that she could dodge a phaser blast, but that wasn’t what really worried her. What if the Maquis hit Commander S’reena, finishing the damage they had begun? That hardly seemed like it would help the problem, but the Maquis had never seemed to be the type for trying to solve issues. Illito looked at Commander S’reena, not even sure that the Commander would make it, even if didn’t get hit again. Dr. Black had seemed confidant, but Illito thought he seemed to be a little too optimistic at times.
Illito glanced at Instructor Wesson, hoping that he too realized what might go wrong. There wasn’t exactly a Cardassian State, so the allegiance that Illito would have felt belonged to the State was instead owed to Commander Hope. Usually it would be the captain of the vessel, but Captain Marcell hardly seemed like someone worth owing allegiance to. Illito was momentarily glad that she had never really had the opportunity to meet him.
Illito realized that her thoughts were wandering again. They seemed to have been doing that more and more often lately. Maybe it was because she was having to absorb more information.
No matter the reason as to why she seemed unable to focus, it was rather annoying. Illito was a little worried that if her thoughts drifted too much, she might start to think about Cardassia. And then she might start to think about and miss her brother. She thought it was better if she just ignored some things.
She sighed, very quietly, careful not to alarm anyone who was holding a phaser. How she hated being captured! There was too much time to think, and too much to think about. Illito looked at Crave pointing the phaser at the Maquis leader, and looked at the phaser that was being pointed at her. She hated stalemates even more.

OFF - Just great...I'm halfway through typing this post, and I clicked on a link on my desktop...it opens the post window, and BOOM...post is gone...Gotta love computers...
ON
Commander James Rio sat at the Engineering console on the Bridge. The Hanson had almost arrived at the colony where the distress signal was originating, and she was now preparing to drop out of warp. The starfield in front of them returned to normal, and they entered the solar system of Theta Aries. James watched his monitors as the warp propulsion discontinued, and the impulse engines seamlessly fired, and propelled them towards the Borg Colony.
As they approached the planet, the sensors announced that a vessel was firing towards the colony. The computer identified the vessel as a Maquis Raider, one of the few ones left roaming the galaxy. As the Hanson approached the rebel vessel, it turned away from the planet, and opened fire at the Hanson. The shields had already been powered, and the Vessel was at red alert. The shields withstood the impact of the surprisingly modern weapons, and the Hanson began to return fire. He was now controlling and regulating the power flow for the weapons and defense systems, and rerouted power from most of the non-essential systems. The Hanson easily overpowered the other vessel, and it fleed off of sensors.
The bridge now turned their attention onto the planet’s surface, where it had suffered massive damage. An away team was formed, and they beamed down to the planet. James was coordinating damage control efforts, and wanted to get all systems back to peak efficiency. As he worked, a young man wearing a Cadet’s uniform entered the bridge, and moved towards James’ console.
”Commander?” James looked up. ”Cadet Gary Owens, reporting as engineering Cadet, Sir.”
”A little late, aren’t you, Cadet?” James said with a bit of a grin, which the cadet didn’t notice.
”I’m really, very sorry, sir. I, umm, my arrival was delayed to Starbase Conqueror, and I was unable to be onboard for departure. I got a shuttle as fast as I could to catch up, sir.” Gary said, looking very nervous and worried.
”Don’t worry, Cadet, it’s ok, things happen.” The engineer said, reassuringly.
Gary seemed to relax a little, and sat down in the cadet’s chair next to the console. ”Are you familiar with what has taken place so far?”
”Yes, sir. I reviewed the mission en route, and I was briefed by Commander Hope about what has taken place up to now.”
”Good. Take the seat at the console, and continue to monitor the damage control efforts, and keep an eye on sensors. If you can handle it, I’m going to leave you for a few minutes, and check on a few things in engineering. If there is any time in which you feel uncomfortable at all, feel free to contact me, and I’ll come to assist., that’s my job, so don’t worry about disturbing me.”
”Understood, sir.” The cadet said, with a happy look on his face.
James turned on one foot, and left the bridge for Deck 11, to work on some sensor parameter updates for the ship. He entered engineering, and sat at the primary work console. He began typing up the program for the modifications to the sensor array, and completely lost track of time. After an hour had went by, he heard the intruder alert arm sound. He saved the program, and ran to the arms locker, and armed himself with a rifle. He climbed up to the second level, and had half of his men aim at the deck 10 entrance, while the rest aimed below, unfortunately, there were only 4 engineers, and the Maquis stormed engineering form the Deck 11 entrance. James sniped two from the upper level, as a surge of energy whizzed past him, and struck an ensign, who flew back towards the wall. Rye shot at that man, but as he fired, two Maquis entered the Deck 10 entrance, and fired. James clutched his shoulder, and fell from the upper level, and smacked his head on the warp core. He lay unconscious, and bruised on the floor, as the Maquis captured Engineering.
Rye woke with a daze, and saw 4 men standing over the consoles in his engine room. He went to stand up, but he felt surges of pain before even moving. He remained motionless for several minutes, and realized that the Maquis had thought that he was dead. Rye bided his strength for several minutes, and as no one was looking, he picked a phaser lying on the ground next to him, and set it to wide field. He fired the phaser, and watched in horror as all 4 men disintegrated. He realized that the weapon he fired had been set to vaporize, and his stomach clenched. As he got up, another man on the upper level jumped down, and punched the Commander in the face. He fell back onto the warp core and hit his head for the second time. The Maquis man looked at him, and shoved him towards a console.
”You look important, get me access to the main computer.” he said sticking his weapon into James’ side.
”Go to hell! I’ve dealt with… The man dealt him another blow, this time to the stomach, and James crumpled to the floor, in utter agony.
James lay on the ground for several more minutes, and then heard a hissing noise. He looked, and saw a green fog seeping through the air vents. DAMNIT, he thought, but then re-examined that thought. This meant that his shipmates were trying to help, so he let the gas come, and knock him out cold.

Doctor Black did not like the situation at all. He had spoken a little optimistically to calm Cadet Tintagel. Commander Hope was stabilized for now, but that was only for now. If he wasnt able to get her to Sickbay to do more extensive treatment, things wouldn't go so well. In her current condition, she wasnt likely to last the night.
Now, he looked around and saw phasers in the hands of each party pointing at each other. He looked at the phaser in Crave's hand, knowing it was most likely set to stun. He then looked at the phaser in the Maquis leader's hand, guessing that it was probably set to kill. His eyes then drifted to the direction the phaser was pointing, and realized that it was now pointed at Illito.
But then he realized that Arina had said a Doctor, but not which one. That meant she hadn't quite decided which to shoot yet. Jason had already made a difference in the lives of many people, both before he earned his Medical Degree and after. Illito deserved that chance.
He moved, and stepped in front of Illito, putting himself in the line of the phaser. He looked at Arina. "If you're going to kill a Doctor, it's going to be me."

“If you're going to kill a Doctor, it's going to be me.” Dr. Black moved in front of the phaser. Illito stared at him. Was he crazy? If they all played their cards correctly, maybe no one would be killed. Well, at least not anyone on the Starfleet side. Illito would hardly offer the same guarantees to the Maquis. She realized that anyone on the Starfleet side would probably have their phasers set to stun. On the other hand, based on Arina’s demonstration on Commander Hope, the Maquis’ phasers were set to kill.
Hopefully, that would make Crave more ready to shoot, he didn’t have to worry about accidentally killing people. Illito liked to think that even the Maquis would feel some regret over unnecessary loss of life. She also hoped that the Maquis realized that if they shot Dr. Black, they would be stunned before they could continue. It was just a hope, but the Maquis had to have some sense of a strategy.
But why did Dr. Black suddenly move in front of the phaser? It made no sense. He had obviously done more good than she had, and had the potential to do even more good and to save even more lives. She couldn’t learn without a teacher, but he had already been taught. However, much as Illito believed that if anyone should die it should be her, rather than the doctor, she was not foolish enough to leap in front of him and demand that they take her life rather than his.
That was just asking to die, and she didn’t really want that. Not now. Illito didn’t really think that Dr. Black wanted to die either, he was just doing whatever his weird sense of morals was telling him to do. “I don’t think anyone really wants to kill anyone else.” Illito spoke up, addressing the Maquis. “Except me, but for some reason you seem to have taken my phaser away.” The Maquis leader kept her phaser trained on Dr. Black, but she could tell that Arina would have pointed it at her if Dr. Black wasn’t in her way. After all, it seemed like Illito was just waiting to cause trouble, while Dr. Black had commited his life, and now just seemed to be waiting to see what would happen.

Michael was growing increasingly worried. The last he'd heard from the bridge was that the Hanson had been under attack and that they'd been boarded. So far, sickbay was still free of Maquis, but he'd heard the science labs had been taken, as well as the laboratories. Leaving Nurse T'Ran in charge of sickbay, he hurried toward the daycare centre to retrieve his children.
To his horror, when he approached the area of the daycare centre, he found it already taken by the Maquis. ~oh if you hurt my children I might just forget my oath~ he thought angrily. On his own it would be suicide to try a rescue operation. On his way back to sickbay, he ran into a young human male wearing the stripes of an engineer, and soon another human male - heavily armed- joined them also.
"The daycare centre is taken," Michael told the security cadet, "my children are in there!" Stricken he looked at the two young men before him, "and I've had no word from the bridge either. I've got the feeling that something's terribly wrong." He didn't dare calling the bridge, as when the bridge were taken, they'd be able to track the communiqué to his present location. "Suggestions gentlemen?"
(to gary and farquhar: michael hope is the hanson's gynaecologist...and is s'reena's husband)

“I don’t think anyone really wants to kill anyone else...Except me, but for some reason you seem to have taken my phaser away,” came Illito's voice from behind Jason.
Illito was, no doubt, wondering why Jason had taken such a bold move to step in front of her. The other part of the reason was that he didn't want one of his Cadets to die on their training mission.
He then turned his head back somewhat to look in Illito's direction, then turned back to Arina. He now had an almost pleading look in his eye. "Please, if you have any shred of humanity left in you, I would ask you to put the phaser down. No one else needs to die here today."
But her face not only remained unsympathetic, but even cruel. It was time to change tactics to something she would understand. His face firmed up. "Well you may not have an sympathy, but I know you have some sense. Right now, you using the fact that I want to keep Commander Hope to force me to submit to your terms and treat your own injured crew. But there is also another side to that. If Commander Hope dies, you will have nothing left to force me to bend to your will. Please, allow me to treat her, in Sickbay. You can keep me under however strong of a guard you wish."
