This thread will hold the joint mission between the brave crew USS Vesuvius-A and the valiant crew of the USS Majesty in their quest for more information about the Falconian race.
OOC: this post is written by both Nick and Sonak. Please note that Joint Posts are to remain rare...this is only a brainstorm session that resulted in a joint post, as neither of us knew where to start.
IC: The Vesuvius hung in orbit around Tiburon beaming her personnel back aboard. The admiral had departed in the Vesuviette with a pilot and the Klingons were moved to the brig. Both Reman Jared and L'Ola Kanz had been released to their day-to-day duties but security kept a low-profile eye on them at all times, without even the CTSO knowing about this. It was a directive passed down by the first officer and his superior.
Then there was still the matter of tracking the Klingon vessel, but that could wait. There would come a time when the Vesuvius would pick up the signal again, but now they had to wait for their new crew to arrive; a new counselor was expected to arrive soon and a mission specialist had reported for duty. Apparently the latter had been stowed away on the ship, having been stuck with them ever since their departure from Bellicose. Thirdly, a new assistant CMO had been assigned from the reserve doctors aboard the Vesuvius and he was now receiving training to become a full CMO later on in his career.
Lastly, there was the matter Kate, and Sonak knew she'd have to discuss this sooner or later with her first officer. "So where to next sir?" the helm asked. Nick happened to be on the bridge at the time, Sonak in her ready room.
"Thats a good question ensign. I'll let you know when I know," he said with a smile.
"We wait," Sonak answered, as she emerged from her readyroom, "a new counselor will be arriving soon. And the USS Majesty has let us know they will be joining is in our new adventure."
She held up the PADD she had been reading as she approached both helm officer and first officer. "Remember that book Logan mentioned? The language of the birds? I have started reading it, and I believe there may be other Falconians left in this universe. if we follow the leads given in this book, we may uncover them."
The Vulcan paused, hissing softly as her unborn seemed restless once more. When she recovered, she continued. "One of the Majesty's officers is Falconian, you may remember reading the message he sent me a few days ago. He is the one who implanted that technology into the admiral. The only question I have is whether we shall find them. If they do not want to be found, we shall have a tough time trying. However I suggest we wait for the new crew to report in, and for the arrival of the Majesty."
(Nick)
"I am going to meet with our new assistant chief medical officer. Doctor Hedin found him working as a nurse on the tertiary module, but the officer in question seems to have the credentials of a doctor in training. He will be commissioned as acting ensign, and will be trained as a full doctor." Sonak turned and left the bridge, heading for main sickbay. At least compartments were easier to locate when the ship was back to one piece.
She entered sickbay and was greeted by Hedin, who instantly started fussing about her and her condition. She waved him off and bee-lined for the new doctor, who seemed to be giving another new face a physical. "Greetings," she started, "I am Commodore Sonak Reckus. You must be Doctor Daniel Andrews."
(Hedin/Andrews)
"Welcome aboard," Sonak continued, then gazed at the new person. "And who may you be? Are you our stow-away mission specialist?"

The transport shuttle headed for some distant star was the only way that Jamey could get to the Vesuvius. The USS Majesty Jamey had missed by a few weeks. He didn’t know what the transport was caring, it smelled like week old Ongilin Caviar that had been left on the deck of a hot hangar. Jamey had managed to find a room just forward of the transports bridge that looked as if it had been a meeting room at one time. Now it was just packed with boxes and cases of what seemed to be inlet flow sensors. Jamey moved some empty boxes from the table and sat down to spread out his work, personnel records of the Vesuvius crew. From the very first record he read, he knew that this was going to be an interesting assignment.
Hours later one of the transport crew walked into the room and was shocked to say anyone there, Jamey turned to face the crewman. “I’m sorry to disturb you sir, I was looking for something”, the crew said.
Looking around the messy room Jamey said, “I’m not sure you will find anything in here very fast, it seems as if this is the catch all for this transport.”
“Well,” the crewman said, “these things aren’t very big and the Captain doesn’t have very many meetings, so we just use this space for ship’s storage.”
“I can see,” Jamey said as he turned back to his reading, “don’t let me bother your search.”
The crewman started towards a stack of smaller boxes, “Oh, no sir, you won’t.”
The crewman just searched through what seemed to be every box before he gave up and left Jamey again to the stillness of the mostly forgotten room. Being a Counselor had always been Jamey’s dream and he was glad he got the chance to realize it; but he did miss being a Navigations Officer. In fact, he had wondered if the Captain of this transport even had a Navigations Officer from the way the ship was being flown. He could tell that the matter reactant injector needed the nozzles aligned. ‘Oh, well’ Jamey thought, ‘this was all about to over.’
Jamey’s comm badge had signaled the encounter with the Vesuvius and he left for the transporter room. As the familiar blue sparkles faded he saw the transporter chief of the Vesuvius.
“Welcome on board,” the chief said.
“Thank you,” as Jamey steped off the transport pad. “Could you patch me into the onboard communication system?”
“Yes sir, I’m not sure why your badge isn’t work yet, it may be that you need to get a new one.” The Chief suggested.
“Sounds like a good idea,” repeatedly tapping his badge but getting no response; “Lt. Commander Gaz, to Commodore Sonak … reporting for duty sir.”
Sonak looked up from questioning the newcomer in sickbay as she acknowledged the communication, though she kept eye contact with the newcomer. "Acknowledged commander, please report to the bridge. You will find Commander Martens in command."
She rolled her eyes at Hedin. "Why do they always insist on calling me 'sir'?" she muttered, "I will be on the bridge shortly. Welcome aboard counselor." She turned back to Teyno. "Now...where were we?"
Stepping just out of the door he touched the corridor panel, “Computer, Lt. Commander Jamey Gaz reporting to the USS Vesuvius as stated in Star Fleet order Alpha-nine-two-seven-Gaz.”
“Acknowledged, Lt. Commander Gaz, Chief Counselor Officer … your authorizing has been transferred pending Commodore Sonak’s acknowledgement.” The Computer responded.
“Computer, location of the CNS office?” Jamey asked.
The Computer led Jamey to the CNS office and walking in he noticed that it was small … but adequate. Jamey sat his things down and headed to the bridge.

Sonak gazed at Teyno. "And who may you be? Are you our stow-away mission specialist?"
Teyno regarded her. She was mildly attractive, but he thought that attempting to encourage romantic feelings within her would be fruitless since she was a Vulcan and from what he had researched, was already married, not that it would be the first time he had had relations with another man's wife, or indeed, with a Vulcan, but his senses told him not to pursue it this time. Still he knew that he, himself was attractive and wondered whether, under that stone Vulcan exterior, she felt it too.
But one way or another, he enjoyed breaking Vulcan exteriors and he decided that he'd do it to this one by antagonizing her. He wondered how much it would take.
He started by shooting her a look of pure hatred, "First of all commander, I do not appreciate being referred to as a stow-away. My passage aboard this ship was arranged by Starfleet Command. Second of all, if you had bothered to do your research, or indeed, come to greet me when I came aboard, you would know that my name is Teyno and I am indeed a Starfleet mission specialist, and a very good one."

"If your passage was known by Starfleet Command, why did they not inform me?" the Vulcan asked, raising an eyebrow as she regarded the patient, "and thus since Starfleet Command did not inform me you were aboard, you are classified as a stow-away."
She paused as Teyno's words sunk in. "And if you had done your research, and really are a mission specialist, then you would know that my rank is that of commodore, not commander." Sonak gazed up at Andrews. "Is he fit for duty?"
(Andrews)
Sonak tapped her combadge. "Sonak to security, please escort Mister Teyno to quarters and have security codes assigned to him. As we are not going back to Federation space I fear our stow-away will be stuck with us for a while. We will see to it that he makes himself useful."
(Kanz)
She cast a small smile down on Teyno. "You would be wise to follow the instructions my security chief gives you. Once quarters are assigned, report to the bridge." She turned back to Andrews. "How about you doctor? Liking your new position so far? While I am here, perhaps you could give me a check-up?" She chuckled. "I would not want Doctor Hedin to start another fuss before I head back to the bridge."
Sonak patted her abdomen. "He still has not told me whether it is a boy or a girl, I assume he forgot."
(Andrews, be my guest, make a choice)
~~somewhat later~~
Sonak walked back onto the bridge, then realized she still had to see the new counselor. "I shall be back soon commander," she told Nick, "I assume our new counselor reported to you?"
(Martens)
She turned and stepped back into the turbolift, heading down towards the counselor's office, which in fact was close to main sickbay. "Greetings, you must be Doctor Gaz," she assumed, "I trust you had an uneventful passage towards my ship? I would like you to start crew evaluations as soon as possible. And while I am here, why do you not start with me? Saves us both the time, and certainly you the hunt of getting me back into your office."

Jamey was heading toward the bridge to report in when around the corner came the Commodore.
Jamey responded, “I think I will have to throw away that uniform, that transport smelled really bad.”
“Yes, Si… uh I mean what would you prefer to be addressed as?” Jamey asked.
"I would prefer ma'am or doctor," Sonak replied, "only when in company of other ranked officer do I wish to be addressed as commodore, for example on the bridge."
“Very well then, please step in my office… I’m sure you know the way… commanding officers so love to be in the Counselors’ office.” Jamey said turning towards his new office with a smirk on his face.
After the two entered the office Jamey sat down behind his desk and pulled up the CO’s records.
“Ah, I see you were a Starfleet kid … oh … parents died together on the Poseidon. Science background, medical school, good service record, early Captain … my … fast track to Commodore I see.” Looking up at Sonak. “CNS Officer on the USS Angel… tough one your gonna be”. Jamey saw the, well, blank look on the Vulcan’s face. “Reprimand for losing a ship; I guess that makes you over protective about your crew then … correct?”
Sonak frowned as his comments struck a sore chord. "How am I going to be tough? Simply because I am a trained medical officer and counselor? Yes it is true that I do not like counselors, but as commanding officer I have to give the correct example."
Jamey noted a couple of things and said, “let us not get caught up in text book assumptions. I’m not like other CNS Officers, at least the ones I have seen, I leave people alone. I’m observant. But for the most part, I have found, if people want help, they come asking for my help. Otherwise, I simply use the rule of ‘don’t step in unless the crew’s wellbeing is in jeopardy’”. Jamey said confidently. “I can promise you that I will use my knowledge, and the knowledge of my past hosts, to aid you in every way that I can.”
"Aid me how exactly?" Sonak wondered aloud, "where was my counselor when I needed one most? Ever since my previous counselor was reassigned, the office has constantly let me down. Yes I am protective of my crew, but even more so of my family and I will thank you to keep out of their lives until I need you to be in them."
Only now did she note the counselor was Trill. "Past hosts," she echoed, "how are they going to help me? Have they ever lost a child? A husband? A ship?"

"Doctor, a Trill can help in a number of ways. I have over 160 years of knowledge acumliated... starting back in 2144 when Gaz's host Kadzon was a Commander in Earth Starfleet. He worked on the NX prototype and served on that ship and the NX01 ship. So, I have experience in losing not only a ship but friends as well. And Gaz's second host, Alexandria, was married and had three children and was killed. So, now, Jamey has the memory of that death but can see the husband and children dealing with the loss." Jamey was becoming more demanding of the Doctor by this time. "There is knowledge that can help you Doctor and lifetimes of dealing with ... with people. I'm sorry that the officers who held this position before me has let you down. Truthfully, I may let you down too, but if you never give me a chance to NOT let you down ... well, ... well then I may as well call that transport back and let you keep searching for what ever your searching for in a CNS Officer."

Sonak sat back in the comfortable chair, idly wishing her command chair was similar, while she listened to Jamey. She was stunned into silence, how could she have thought that he wouldn't understand? With several lifetimes to draw upon, a joined Trill was quite likely the only person able to understand. "I am sorry," she finally whispered, "I did not know that. I have never dealt with a joined Trill before. My first counselor was half Trill half Bajoran, and she was unjoined. Yet she was very good and I am still regretting the day she asked for reassignment to Earth, to be with her fiancé Prin Lena." At Jamey's blinking glance she nodded. "Yes my counselor had a girlfriend. My second counselor could not help me, though for no lack of trying on his part. He really did try to help me through a very difficult period. I was abused, mentally and physically and shortly after that lost a child. My third counselor did not feel at place on a starship and soon transferred back to a starbase. After that, I have not had a senior counselor until your arrival, not counting myself." She sighed and leaned back. "Why is it that counselors always manage to get their patients to tell them their worst adventures?" she finally asked, "whether they want to tell them or not? I have not spoken of these things for months." She continued to tell him how she lost a second child after a Cardassian attack, and how her ship had crashed resulting in her being relieved of command by a mere captain. "It was the worst period of my life," she concluded, then smiled briefly. "However my forced vacation did result in some happiness. I am due in approximately three months." (Gaz) "Anyway, I should get back to the bridge. Do feel free to take up station there and observe the crew. There really is no need for you to remain locked in your office. I would rather have a counselor who mingles with the crew, so that they feel comfortable with him." She rose from her chair, albeit with some assistance from Jamey and headed back for the bridge. Once there, she found Fox working diligently at his station, probably looking up any information he could dig up about Falconians. Jared sat at OPS, looking somewhat glum as apparently the mission specialist, Teyno, had taken it upon himself to fire a barrage of questions at the operations chief. At the security station stood Kanz, looking very pleased but also worried and Maverick sat at the helm console, tapping his fingers to the rhythm of some tune nobody could hear. Nick sat in the centre seat, glancing over the latest reports. "Reman, any word from the Majesty?" Sonak asked as she stepped down to command level and reclaimed her seat from Nick. "What is their ETA?" (Reman) ooc: Majesty crew feel free to join in! Arrive already

(OOC a tiny bit of back posting here)
Nick welcomed the new crewmembers to the Vesuvius. He hoped that the new CNS was going to pan out. The crew needed a morall booster every once and a while. He signed the transfer request and shook the hand of their new CNS, Jamey Gaz.
"Welcome aboard," he said. "Make yourself at home."
"Thank you sir," Jamey smiled and nodded. Smiling he made his way back into the turbo lift.
Nick turned back to his padd. Schematics of Vesuvius scrolled by, he sure missed engineering now and then. He still wasn't sure what to make of the message he recieved the other night. He and Kate needed to have a heart to heart about it and soon.
Some time later Sonak returned to the bridge and reclaimed her spot.
"I'll be down below," he said as she sat down, she nodded and he made his way down to the lower decks.

Jamey suddenly felt ashamed for being so hard with the CO. He helped her up from her chair and said, "Doctor, I will be glad to be your CNS Officer, just give me a chance. Here, let me walk with you to the bridge."
The two walked to the the bridge and Jamey took the third chair beside the CO's and accessed the terminal to start reviewing more personnel records.

Kay: "Commander, what is our ETA?" Aarons: "About five minutes after you stop asking." Kay: "I haven't asked for six minutes." Aarons: "Then here we are!" ;D Before them hung the Vesuvius-A, Second Fleet Gamma squadron flagship... Somma Class ...starship with which the Majesty had been thrown together with and whom would be contributing their own specialist to: Hawk. Kay: "Open hailing frequencies." Gypsy: "Open sir." Before them all appeared the bridge of their sister ship amongst the fleet. Kay: "Hi! I'm Captain Kaylanna. This is my crew! We're here to get started!" Sonak: "Yes and that must be Hawk." Hawk: "How ever did you guess?!" Aarons: "Dude, I think she's psychic."

OOC: Reference for appearance hawk's bio.
Still looking through the starfleet database to find more information about Falconians, but there was little to be found. He looked up when they were being hailed and saw Captain Cornette appear on the main screen, introducing herself.
He then quickly got back to his console. "There has to be more information." he thought and kept on searching.
As he kept searching Fox found information about the physics of Falconians that Hawk had provided when he joined the academy and some directions to the Book of Birds which Logan had mentioned before.
He transferred the found data on a pad and left his station, giving the pad to Sonak. "This is all i could find so far Ma'am. Maybe Hawk can provide us with more information about his species."
"Thank you Commander." Sonak replied. Fox walked back to his station. There he had still a search algorithm running to look for more information. In the mean time Sonak reviewed the information on the pad.
Stardate: 920818.88 Subject: Falconians Commander 1st Class Fox reporting
Physical Appearance The average Falconian weighs about 2/3 of the average human. The reason for this is that Falconian people have a hollow bone structure, just like birds. The hair of falconians is silver and red golden brown and very fine, just like feathers. Their upper chest is slightly enlarged. This indicates they had wings once.
Only known living Falconian to starfleet is Commander Hawk. Location of the Falconian homeworld is unknown.
End of Report.

ooc: Fox, it's Captain Cornette:) her first name is kaylana
ic:
Aarons: "Dude, I think she's psychic."
Sonak almost smiled as Jamey helped her to her feet. "Not quite commander," she answered, "but you are close. However, Commander Hawk somewhat stands out against the rest of the crew due to his...uniqueness."
The Vulcan shifted her gaze to Cornette. "Captain, it is a pleasure to finally meet you," she continued, "and of course the famed Hawk. I would like to invite you and your senior staff to come aboard the Vesuvius, firstly to get acquainted and secondly to discuss my chief engineer's findings."
(Cornette)
"I will meet you in the main transporter room," Sonak answered, "and then I will introduce you to my senior staff. Though you have already seen my gallant counselor, Commander Jamey Gaz, and my first officer Commander Nick Martens. Commander Martens is also the designer of my vessel."
This time she did smile. "I am looking forward to meeting you."

Kay: "Okay Michael, pull along side the thing and let's everyone go meet our new co-workers for the rest of this joint venture." Everyone crowded out the door who was going and collectively made it for the transporter. The whole sequence was relatively instantaneous but once everything cleared away, Commander Aarons was shocked. There were happy people there waiting for them. Happy not so much as in feeling good but socially happy and smiling. Ew! Sonak: "Welcome aboard Captain. This here is my Security Chief: L'Ola Kanz; Ops Officer: Reman Jared; Dr. Phloyd; Science Officer: Fox; and our current counselor Jamey Gaz. My navigator Mr. Maverick is on duty, you will meet him later, and our Chief Engineer: Commander Byrne is buried research at the moment." Kay: "Well this is my First Officer TEG24601; Nik Greenwood Science Officer; my navigator you should be somewhat familiar with Michael Aarons; Gypsy our Security Officer; Hawk at Ops.; our doctor, counselor, and engineer are conveniently still on the Majesty; and this nervous little guy here is Darian Ako." Gaz: "How many times you been joined?" Darian: "Six." Sonak: "Well, now that we have all become acquainted, let us adjourn to the meeting room and get our work started."

Ed and Jamie sat in the corridor outside holodeck 2 waiting. They were entertaining themselves by watching people coming round the corner and trying not to trip over their legs.
In fact they had been waiting so long that they had managed to calculate the number of people needed to make a decent assault course down that bit of corridor. It was anywhere between 10 and 15 depending on the required difficulty.
But this high quality entertainment didn't stop the fact that they were still waiting. And the person they were waiting for had the codes for the program they were going to use.
When Sam finally walked round the corner and went flying over Jamie's legs, he was greeted with a round of applause. However they quickly realised that something was wrong. The fact he'd actually managed to fall over kind of gave the game away.
For the first time in ages, Ed looked concerned, "Where have you been?"
Sam picked himself up off the floor and walked into the holodeck, motioning for the others to follow. Only once the doors were closed did he start talking. "I got hauled in by Security."
"Really?" Jamie looked a little stunned. Then he twigged on, "Security or SECURITY?"
"Security."
Jamie had been friends with them for long enough now to know what that meant. "Did she find out then?"
"Oh yes. She found out. And she'd worked out the whole thing. Well quite a bit anyway."
Ed was trying to be helpful but he wasn't sure how he could. These weren't normal circumstances. "Did she scream at you for it?"
Sam shook his head. "No, she just went on and on about how it was information about a Starfleet security threat and that I should have reported it to her as soon as it happened."
"You do have to wonder though" Ed thought aloud, "Whether she would have passed it on to anyone."
Whilst greeting the Majesty crew and trying her best to look happy, L'Ola Kanz was wondering that exact same thing.

Despite the shuttle restrictions and the obvious legal grey area, the fact noone could prove who stole the Vesuviette and how Jared had come to own the Lady Verander, coupled with the fact it wouldn't open or anything for anyone else technically made it Jared's. Of course, Kanz wasn't yet aware of her partial ownership or at least operatorship of it yet, but when it became convenient for her to know, Jared would let on. Also, he didn't want her trying to chase off after Lucy in it and all the time it was inside the Vesuvius there was no reason why Jared couldn't be in it. He looked up at its hulking shape, its unusually large size meant that it occupied a fair portion of the already large shuttlebay 2. Somehow, since Jared had left through the back door of this bay on a trip to the Derisak, he had wound up back there at several important times. It made him wonder if any other bays actually existed.
He turned to a nearby yellow uniformed man who was helping someone work on some circuitry I'm having trouble with the door, can you fetch me a sonic screwdriver? The man made to stand up before the second one put a hand on his arm. 'We don't have those' the other answered, slowly. Interesting... 'Maybe I was thinking of something else. I'll come back later' Jared said, and left.
At his ops station, Jared ended up being bombarded with questions from a civilian with an apparent talent for hiding matched with an apparent dislike of mention of such talent. Maybe he should have hidden in the airlock, Jared thought, performing the usual mind block that less legally inclined Betazoids were taught as they grew up. Even without the ability to read thoughts, blocking them was easy enough, especially for Jared due to his condition. He had found that the longer time passed between relapses, the harder it was for other people to read him. Eventually, he was tired of this busybody civilian. At least when Lucy asked questions she had spaced them out instead of acting like the universe's worse intelligence agent. 'Look at these controls' Jared said finally. 'Yes' the other responded 'Are they simple?' 'No, but I assume you-' Jared cut him off 'Therefore what makes you think I can make sure the core doesn't go critical whilst answering enough inane questions that it would probably tire even the [word deleted] creation we call the AI?' Most of that had been a lie; everything was normal and in fact Jared had little to do with the core status. But so far not one question asked wasn't available in the computer. That was another thing; Lucy's questions were actually searching. Apparently this specialist had little knowledge of much outside his field or at least was trying his damndest to give this impression. Either way it wasn't making life any easier. 'Do you have any actual important questions that couldn't be answered with a quick look in the databanks? Or would you rather I direct you to the ship's bar where you can find wine, women or song or at least the closest you can come in the Federation, which is coffee, chess and classical music?' <Tenyo>
Ye gods, Jared felt he probably shouldn't have gone to Multo. Multo operated much like a whole city under a dome with all the decadent pleasures and fun thereof, assuming the city was 21st century London, not a Federation one. Compared to Multo, even the Ambition had been dull, but at least it had a bar and the whole crew knew what fun actually was. Truth be told, Jared was heavily tempted that if they should go through the Jump Zone to throw his lot in with the Bears, the giant clan who ran Multo and gods knew how many other stations. They'd see the Vesuvius back safely enough, unless Sonak did something foolish enough to make them see it back in millions of small pieces. Or just board it, kill the Starfleeters, send the civilians back in a Bear ship and dissect the Vesuvius for anything of value. He'd have to see. It would also depend on what the Kanzes did. Or was that Kanzi?

The man appeared to be quite agitated now, which was, of course what Teyno had been aiming for. Of course, he knew the answers to all the questions he was asking, but thought it would be quite amusing to lead the officer in a string of topics that would annoy him. Of course, knowing that the man was a Betazoid, Teyno used his mental blocks to prevent the man from telepathically accessing his mind.
'Do you have any actual important questions that couldn't be answered with a quick look in the databanks? Or would you rather I direct you to the ship's bar where you can find wine, women or song or at least the closest you can come in the Federation, which is coffee, chess and classical music?'
"Thank you Lieutenant, your technical knowledge is matched only by your manners." Teyno said sarcastically. "I believe I am expected elsewhere."
Once back in his quarters, Teyno tapped his combadge, "Teyno to Sonak, Captain, I have just received orders from Starfleet that I am to assist you in your current mission. At your earliest convenience, please brief me on your current mission."

Liz realized she was still off duty, and she sighed slumping back on her bed not wanting to even get up. ~Why do I even bother? No one has even noticed.~ Liz thought turning over pulling the covers over her head.
Trishta finally found where she was to be, and realized how late she really was. She materialized a bit flustered, and noticed all eyes on her. Trish wanted to disappear, and knew how easy it would be since she was still standing on the padd. She stepped down and smiled. ~Its good to see some pretty friendly people.~ Trish thought remembering when Liz found her. She did her best not to shutter, and found it easy to suppress it for now.
"Sorry, I had a hard time finding the place. I'm still trying to find my way around our ship," she said and thought she heard some laughter.

Darian wasn't too sure he actually wanted to go aboard the other vessel, just when he was actually starting to feel at home on the Majesty. However it didn't seem as though he had much choice in the matter, as he was bodily dragged along to the transporter room.
Once aboard the state of the art vessel, he stood rooted to the spot, gawking at the interior of the Vesuvius. It was much different than the Majesty, and it certainly looked bigger. He didn't notice the Vesuvius commanding officer until he heard his own name being called by way of introduction.
A Trill officer asked him how many times he'd been joined. "I'm the sixth host," he answered, somewhat nervously, "however I'd have been much happier having remained unjoined." Seeing as this probably wasn't the answer the Trill had wanted to hear, as most Trills actually yearned to be joined, he forced a smile. "How about you?"

"Acknowledged Teyno," Sonak replied as the civillian informed her that he was assigned to her vessel now, "please report to briefing room one, we shall meet you there shortly."
The Vulcan turned to her guests, just as two more individuals beamed aboard. "Shall we?" she enquired as she gestured towards the door.
(Majesty crew)
She led the way to the briefingroom as for anyone not knowing the ship it may be confusing to get there. While they walked, she told her guests something about her ship. "It may be easy to get lost here for someone not familiar with the ship," she explained, "we have everything in threefold, from bridge to cloaking device."
Sonak turned to the Majesty's chief engineer. "I am certain Commander Byrne will allow you to examine our engines and cloak," she offered, "otherwise my first officer, who designed this ship will show you."
Minutes later, they entered the briefingroom, where her own senior staff was already waiting for them. "Commander Byrne, please show our guests what you have recovered about the Falconians." From the corner of her eyes she watched the only Falconian that was known within starfleet for his reaction.

As the group start walking down the corridor, Jamey answered Darian, "I can understand that, no one in my family is joined. In fact, you may find this to be a bit of surprise, I'm only half Trill." Jamey waited for a response. "My father is human, my mother is Trill. It took some persuasion to the Symbiosis Commission but after my full medical work up, they found that my genetic make up was fully capable of supporting a symbiont even with some Human Genome" Jamey concluded.
About the time the group was entering the conference room ready to learn more about this mission. Both the Trills sat down next to each other as the briefing began.

Trish was glad the attention was off of her, and she followed the rest of them not wanting to navigate on her own here. ~I could get lost, then the Majesty would be without a doctor. We don't want that.~ She thought concentrating on where they were going. She noticed another doctor. Not wanting to talk about medicine, as she wasn't the cheif on their ship, she steered clear of him almost bumping into a trill.
"Sorry, didn't mean to get so close there," Trish said in almost a whisper. She noticed Ako was walking with him.
"I'm Trishta, who might you be?"

Rounding a corner after talking with Darian another person almost ran into him. A soft spoken, but pretty voice said, "I'm Trishta, who might you be?"
"I'm sorry I didn't you, My name is Jamey. " Jamey responded.
"Well, Trishta, I'm sorry but we are due for a meeting so will you meet me in ship's lounge ... say in about an hour?" Jamey asked.

Trish smiled. ~He seems nice.~ She thought.
"Yes, I will be there in about an hour," she said and they went into the meeting. Trish found there were a few seats, and decided to stand instead not wanting to be too comfortable here. ~Besides this is their ship, they don't have to be so accomodating.~ Trish said feeling a little uncomfortable when one of the guys tried to give up his seat. She shook him off, and leaned against a wall.
Trish listened. ~So, we are helping him find his family. I hope this goes well.~ She thought, and found her mind wandering to Liz. Trish wished she was here instead.

Gypsy stepped off the transporter with the rest of the team from the Majesty. Having never been on this class of ship and not exactly sure he was expecting from this, he was actually surprised to find the transporter room looked pretty much like the one he'd just left. Introductions were made, and the 2 teams headed off to the briefing room.
As always when he was in a new place Gypsy kept his eyes open for anything that looked out of place, , even on a starfleet vessel. All the while listening to what Commodore Sonak had to say about the ship.
It wasn't long before they arrived at the briefing room and everyone trooped inside. The Commodore beckoned them all to sit and they did. As he stepped inside he had a quick look at the layout of the room, entrances & exits, as well as who was already in there. Satisfied he found a seat and sat down to listen to what had to be said.

"Ooh ooh Ohh... are we their yet... ooh please say we're their" Nik said tugging at the Captains arm.
"No were not, and have you been drinking cola again? You know your not ment to" Kay said in her motherly voice. But smiling at the same time.
"Oh your just..." he stopped himself their was a certain line and he could sense himself about to cross it. And after the whole incident with Homer making a large hole in the ship. Nik has used up his Kay credits for this month.
"Ok I will read-up on the mission then, its just that im so excited about meeting the crew of the Vesuvius, and they have such a cool ship. Have you read these specs, their what dream are made of. I bet they got ace science labs... not as good as mine but ace none the less"
It wasnt long until they saw the vesuvius, and it was a magnificent ship. The tension aboard the majesty was building, this was a momentous time in history, and it was gonna be alot of fun.
