"Primary Conveyor, I have confirmed that the Orion ship is now leaving our system at full impulse" the sensor technician reported.
"Excellent" Op Nilas replied. "Open a channel to the Jefferson." The leader of the Ethelons tried to prepare himself for a new diplomatic effort. It was going to be much harder this time, after all that the Jefferson had been through. At least it had been nothing that the Ethelonians had caused.
"Channel open, Primary Conveyor. Activate line 1."
"Thank you" Nilas replied, then activated the correct button. "This is Primary Conveyor Nilas to the USS Jefferson. I am extremely pleased that you have managed to overcome those ships that were preying on the Ethelonian system. I would be happy if you would return to our primary planet in order to restart and hopefully conclude negotations that will allow Ethelon to become a member of the United Federation of Planets."

Cyle looked up at the ceiling when he heard Matt's voice comming form the comm badge, it wasnt really becuase Cyle thought the voice was above him, it was just something he did. Standing up from the biobed, he walked by Lt. Crusser, who had been ordered to guard Doctor Keller. "keep your eyes on him, dont let anything near him, unless Doctor von Breughel give the go ahead" Cyle said as he passed by the Lt.
=^=Lt. Sharp, Commander Pudlo and Major Johnson please oversee the repairs to the Jefferson. I want her back to full capacity within twenty four hours.=^= Taking a quick corner, Cyle made his way to the turbo lift, and took it to the deck needed. Exiting the lift, he passed by a few marines who asked if he was alright. Cyle talked with them alittle, much to there surprise as the major was not known to be very social with anyone. Cyle once again realized he was still feeling tired, as he did not really have much time to sleep since all of this had happened. When he arrived at the Matt's office he smoothed out his uniform jacket quickly and pressed the door chime. Entering shortly after, he nodded at the others and stood by.

The department heads had arrived promptly and as they arrived they recieved thier orders. The last to arrive was the marine officer, Major Johnson. Before today's events Matt would have been happy to scold the marine for being late, but his actions on the Orion ship made him a hero.
"Your actions while sometimes reckless, saved the lives of all the men and women on the Orion ship," Matt said," that being said Major, could you please oversee the repair of the Jefferson while Colonel Hrisvalar and myself are on the planet?"

=^=Commander Reynolds, we are being hailed by Primary Conveyor Nilas=^=
=^=I'll be there shortly with Major Johnson. Colonel Hrisvalar is indisposed at the moment=^=
"Major," Matt said as he exited his office and headed towards the bridge. Both men were silent, deep in thier own thoughts.
"We are also pleased Primary Conveyor, though I understand that your ballistic weaponary targeted the Jefferson as well. I understand your governments actions and as a sign of our goodwill we'll be in orbit in a matter of minutes with our shields down. With the threat over we can once again focus on the disease now affecting a member of my own crew and admitting your planet to the Federation."
The channel closed when Matt stopped speaking, the bridge crew awaiting his orders. Some of them were visabliy agitated at the Ethelosians.
"We'll do as I said, but Major I want you to be ready for anything," Matt said as the Jefferson began her short trek to Ethelon III.

Dr. Keller looked up from his biobed as the message from the Commander Reynolds came through the intercom. He tried to get up automatically, having forgotten that he was actually restrained here in sickbay.
"No sir, sorry, but I haven't made much progress yet. Perhaps you could speak to Dr. van Breughel."

Ral and Fellana walked into the small room where Quinn and Emman had been working on a way to get aboard the Jefferson. "So, do we have a plan for getting aboard the Jefferson?" Ral asked.
Emman the Xakdorn nodded arrogantly. "Of course we do. Quinn and I have come up with something good."
Controlling his patience, Ral waited for the explanation. He had learned long ago that dealing with Emman was far easier if you pandered to his ego a little. Besides, whatever he came up with was usually pretty good.
"Well," Emman said "it goes like this. The transporter system here is controlled by the government, but I've hacked their central control net. I can access them whenever I want and get us aboard. We can even bounce around in the pattern buffers for a bit to hide where we materialize. With all the transporter traffic on this planet, they'll never be able to trace us."
Ral nodded. He had thought this would be the plan. "So, what good does that do? There are still only four of us."
Quinn entered the conversation. "I've designed this little gadget, and replicated 200 of them." The former Starfleet Intelligence operative placed a small device on the table. "It's a combination of a short range personal transporter, bio signal transmitter and subspace pulse emitter."
Ral frowned. He still didn't understand the what the two of them had in mind. "So, what are they supposed to do?"
Emman smiled happily as he responded. "We use the planetary transporter net to get us and the devices aboard. While we recover the data, the devices are programmed to activate their bio signal transmitters, transport randomly around the ship and emit subspace pulses, which will overload most electronic equipment within a circumference of about 5 metres. On their internal sensors, it will appear that they have been invaded by 200 unknown humanoids who are trying to destroy the ship. In the confusion, we recover the data and be on our way. They spend the next few days being busy fixing their ship and trying to figure out what happened while we get what we want. Everyone's happy. Starfleeters love to be busy, after all."
Quinn laughed out loud. He hoped a few Starfleeters would be killed during the operation. It was all the same to him. If he got lucky, he might be able to kill a few while he was aboard the Jefferson.
Ral picked up one of the devices Quinn had made and turned it over in his hands. "How long will this thing work?"
"The power pack will allow it to transport four times before it's exhausted. And the transporter will activate randomly between one and five minutes. The confusion should last about 10 minutes or so, so we have to be off the ship before that" Quinn answered. "Assuming that none are found before they're finished, they should overload devices in 800 areas of the ship. That should keep the crew busy."
Fellana had been listening to all this and wasn't too fond of this plan. "What are the chances that these things will destroy the ship while we're aboard?"
Emman and Quinn glanced at one another uncomfortably. They had already discussed this possibility. "Fairly remote" Quinn answered. "We've programmed them to stay away from the anti-matter containers, engineering, bridge, warp core and torpedo magazines, and Starfleet ships have excellent system redundancy. Even if the pulses take out something important, they should be able to compensate."
"What's to stop the Jefferson from just beaming them back off?" Ral asked.
"The subspace emitter is in continuous operation while it has power. That will block the Jefferson's transporter subspace carrier wave. They won't be able to beam them off. The only way to stop them while they still have power is to deactivate each one manually" Emman explained.
"And how do we get off the ship? Once they figure out they're under attack, they'll put the shields up!" Fellana demanded.
"Calm yourself, my pretty" Emman soothed, as he held up the device that Quinn had come up with. "Several of these have been programmed to go after the shield emitters on the Jefferson on their first transport. They'll overload the main crystalline power matrix of each emitter, so they will each need to be replaced, which will take about 20 minutes after they figure out what the problem is. Each of us will have a personal transporter and will be able to go through the gaps in their shields."
Ral thought over the probabilities, leaving Emman, Quinn and Fellana to wait. He was the leader of this group and it was his call. "All right. We're going to go in one hour. Get your gear. Quinn, replicate 4 Starfleet Security uniforms for us. And make sure everyone has Starfleet issue weaponry so we won't be so obvious."
Quinn wasn't happy about having to wear a Starfleet uniform again, but he saw the sense in it.
The four of them quickly started getting ready.

As Ltjg. Crusser takes his post Sharp exits sickbay. Sharp enters the turbo lift "bridge". When the lift stopped at the bridge Sharp got and went and and spoke with Commander Reynolds. Commander i have an idea on how to find out who drugged Dr. keller. I want to place a tracking devise on him and let him continue on his mission which should lead us to whoever drugged him. I have a feeling that some of the Ethelon's are working asgainst us and are not working alone

Nathan didn't know how long he had been asleep, and he certainly had no recollection of getting to a bed by himself. The last he remembered, though with some embarassment, was fighting with Raleva, trying to get her to rest. After that all was a blank.
Propping himself up on his elbows, he surveyed his surroundings, finding Crusser on guard near Daran Keller, who in turn was busily working on something from the console beside his bed. "Ah, finally awake?" Daran called, waving him over.
Nathan got up, rubbed his eyes and stiffled a yawn. "Seems so," he answered, "I'm going to get some coffee, want some?" At Daran's shake of the head, he shrugged and went to fetch a pot of the bitter brew. After the first few sips he felt his mind clear. "Got anything?" he asked as he lowered the forcefield and offered Daran a cup anyway.
The assistant CMO nodded over to the still sleeping Raleva. "She's very ill, and she got ill after beaming down to Ethelon. You and I have both been there as well, but we're not ill. The only thing I could think of, also in comparing the DNA samples we aqcuired, is that it's something in their transporter system. Do you think it's plausible?"
He motioned both Daran and Crusser to follow him, only because ordering Crusser to remain where he was would be a moot issue. "Examine Raleva," he suggested, "then examine any Ethelonian."

Lt. Wilson stood at the tactical station on the bridge and stifled a yawn. Working the night shift on the Jefferson was usually pretty quiet, especially when they were orbiting a planet applying for Federation membership, and this had been no exception. There had been nothing on the sensors for a while. The ship was quiet, the planet was quiet and Wilson was bored.
Looking up from his station to stretch his neck, he could see that the other stations were similarly quiet. The most active one was Science. They were using the starboard lateral sensor array to track an unusually large comet that was passing through the system that seemed to be a interstellar wanderer. Comets of that type were pretty rare.
He was startled when his tactical panel beeped loudly. Looking down, he could see that the internal sensors had detected over 200 new life signs that had just transported directly into Cargo Bay 3. Before he could even react to the this, all of them had transported to different areas of the ship. Wilson immediately sent the ship to Red Alert.
Commander Reynolds was on the bridge. He stood up at the siren and looked around. "What the hell is going on?"
"I don't know sir. 200 humanoids just transported..." Wilson was interrupted by new, more urgent alarms. Systems were going down all over the ship, and all were at locations where the 200 invaders had moved to. His damage control monitor had gone from empty to overloaded in a matter of seconds. LIghts flickered on the bridge, two Security information panels and the main viewscreen went dark, and Wilson could see that shields 2, 7, 11 and 14 had all failed simultaneously. He tried to reset them through the console controls, but the problem seemed to be mechanical. Most of the problems were minor, but a plasma phase modulator, flow regulator and primary plasma shunt on Deck 7 had gone dead, which meant that the plasma in the adjoining conduits would start eating through the duranium in a matter of minutes, causing a huge explosion and fire. The main plasma shunt for the Deck would have rerouted everything, but it had was deactivated as well.
"Sir, we have over 200 unknown humanoids aboard in different locations. They seem to be trying to disable or destroy the Jefferson by disabling systems somehow" Wilson reported in a panicky voice.
<There will be stuff going on all over the ship. Anyone can respond>

Location: USS Jefferson, Cargo Bay 4
Ral opened his eyes. He was looking at the interior of the USS Jeffersons' cargo bay 4. Quinn, Emman and Fellana were all present and accounted for, decked out in false Federation uniforms and armed with phaser rifles. The little round metal disks were all over the floor. Abruptly, they all beamed out. After a few seconds, the red alert klaxon began to blare. He looked back at his small team. "We have to get moving, we only have a few minutes and we have to find a suitable data console so that we can retrieve our data."
The three of them nodded and proceeded out the door of the cargo bay.

"Report to Commander Sharp on the bridge" he said and turned to leave. "aye sir" he heard a reply. He stopped again just before passing the team, and grabbed the last member, (Fellana) and roughly pushed her against thewall. "Sharp isn't a commander" He said looking at the four members. =^=Major Johnson to Commander Reynolds, I fou.......=^= Cyle's voice was taken from him as a phaser beam tore into his side, knocking him down. he struggled to his knees, holding his side and looked up just in time to be smacked in the head with the butt end of the rifle.

Daran sat up gratefully on the biobed, even though he was still under the watchful eye of the security officer assigned to him, and took a sip of coffee. It was actually pretty good. He then carefully stretched some muscles while remaining seated. It was good to stretch. He thought about Nathan's concept of the transporters causing the health problems on Ethelon.
"It's a better hypothesis than most" he said. "From the medical histories I reviewed, there don't seem to be any other commonalities between patients, except for the fact that they're Ethelonian, I guess." He stopped and looked over at he occupied biobed. "That doesn't explain Raveva though."
"A full DNA comparison between her and the Ethelonians may establish some link" Nathan said.
Daran nodded. "All right, go ahead.
At that moment, the alert klaxon began to sound, and the intercom blared "Intruder Alert, cargo bay 4." There was a pause, then the intercom continued. "Intruder alert, Deck 13,7,8,2,10,14,21,36..." Then the intercom went dead.
Daran looked over at the security guard. "What's going on?" The man shrugged in reply.
Abruptly, an entire bank of medical instruments went off line, including those monitoring Lt. de Silva. Daran and Nathan rushed over to try to re-initialize them, but they seemed to be completely deactivated somehow. Daran turned and moved to retrieve the hand instruments from a nearby locker, but noticed a small, silver, hemispherical device on the floor. He signalled to the security guard, who drew his phaser. "What's that?" he asked.
Daran shrugged and pulled out his tricorder, only to find that it was inactive as well. "Perhaps it's generating some kind of dampening field. Try to disable it" Daran ordered.
The security officer nodded, pointed his phaser and fired, but nothing happened. Daran looked over at Nathan. "I'm open to suggestions" he said quietly.

As his security and marine officers examined every inch of the Jefferson, Matt was coordinating from the bridge. He had already locked down the entire ship. No one would be able to transport off or on, all major systems would require a level five clearance code and all civilian levels had been closed down and security personal stationed. At first a few people believed it to be a drill, but when systems began to systematically go offline there fears were confirmed.
"Sickbay I want all the research into the disease downloaded and sent to the bridge," Matt ordered hoping that his gut feeling was wrong. "When that is done I want you to erase all the data you have collected."
<Tag Keller and Nathan>
"Commander there might not be over 200 intruders there might only be a few intruders on board," Lt. Sharp reported.
"Understood, Lt. but for the moment we are going to perform like there are 200 intruders onboard. We have to be sure and our sensors can easily be fooled," Matt responded.
"Commander, I don't think Lt. Sharp recieved your last message," the ops officer reported," communications is going down all over the ship. This is happening to all of our systems which is preventing us from actually being able to repair them."
=^=Major Johnson to Commander Reynolds, I fou.......=^=
"What did he say!" Matt asked rushing towards his old post, trying to contact Major Johnson once again. "Major, please repeat your last statement!......Major!"
"Sir, I'm reporting phaser fire on Decks 12, 13, 6, 7, 8, and 9," the tactical officer reported looking rather confused." Sir phaser fire is now being reported on the bridge."
Matt quickly scanned the bridge to find that no weapons fire had discharged on the bridge, which meant that internal sensors couldn't be trusted either.
"I need communications to the entire ship," Matt ordered as he grabbed his phaser from his seat.
"You have communications sir, but not for long," ops reported.
=^=We have an unknown amount of intruders onboard the Jefferson. All Starfleet personal are authorized to arm themselves. I repeat all Starfleet personal are authorized to be armed. The ship is now going into complete lockdown, you will not be able to leave the room you are currently located in. Security and marine personal are the only ones authorized to being in the cooridors. They have orders to shoot on sight=^=

Nathan watched with interest as the security officer fired his weapon at the disc in vain. Raising an eyebrow in surprise, he glanced over at Daran, who sat up on his bed then at Raleva who was now also wide awake. "Well you are not the only one open to suggestions," he answered equally quietly, "what is this disc?"
He walked up to it, aiming a tricorder at the disc. "Apart from being invulnerable to phaser fire, it also seems rather invulnerable to being scanned," he concluded, "all my tricorder does is register that it's there, but other than that I can get no composition readings. All I read is that it's metal, but not what."
Nathan stepped back to join the chief medical officer and the chief science officer when the device started to produce a high-pitched sound. He clapped his hands over his ears, wincing as the pitch seemed to hammer down on his eardrums. "Shut it off!" he called, wrenching his eyes shut. Just as suddenly as it had started, the sound stopped and the three sighed in relief.
A second later, chaos broke loose as the device exploded, sending them flying over the biobed. "Everyone in one piece?" Nathan called, coughing against the smoke that now filled the half-wrecked sickbay.
"Sickbay I want all the research into the disease downloaded and sent to the bridge," Matt ordered hoping that his gut feeling was wrong. "When that is done I want you to erase all the data you have collected."
"We can try," Nathan reported back, crambling over to the nearest console, and worked it as fast as he could. "Data sent and erased," he reported, "and one of the devices just exploded here in sickbay. We have one casualty and are trying to get the systems to clear the smoke to work. We may have to evacuate sickbay!"

Raleva was intent on continuing to sleep ... that was of course, until an explosion sent her over the opposite side of her bio bed. Suddenly, she was awake and someone or something was on her back. Atleast she wasn't in any pain ... that was, of course, until she tried to move.
"See! What did I say?! You can set your watch by it! Like bloody clockwork!" she cried from underneath some object that was rather heavy, "Grr off!"
She attempted to turn over and was surprised to find that she was not having motility problems like she was before. She was still in pain, but her limbs were now atleast responding when she tried to move them. Which was always good news. She felt the sudden burst of adrenaline course through her body and she somehow managed to stand.
"What, in the name of all things extraterrestrial, was that?!" she yelled, somewhat louder than she'd intended.

(OOC. Sorry, I haven't been able to get to a computer for a few days.)
Ral, Quinn, Fellana and Emann walked up the corridor from Cargo Bay 4 as the red alert alarms started to go off. Ral had never been aboard a Federation vessel, and was impressed with the size and scale of everything. Quinn was in the lead. The man was a former Starfleet Intelligence officer and knew his way around and had taken the pips of lieutenant commander. Not too high to be in charge, but high enough that he could order most others around.
The crew were moving about in a rather uncoordinated fashion. It was clear that no one really knew what was going on and were just following standard procedure. The four of them tried hard to look like they were doing their jobs.
Quinn suddenly stopped at a door, opened it and checked inside, then gestured the three others in. The room was empty, except for a bank of computer monitors and input boards. "Try here" Quinn said.
Ral nodded, walked over to the first console and input the code that Keller had sent. The console did nothing but return a short alphanumeric sequence. Ral looked over at Quinn and shook his head, so he came over to look. Quinn pointed at the monitor and said "That's a Federation console serial number. The code has to be input into a specific computer." He peered at it carefully. "That one is on Deck 16."
The four of them left the room and stepped into the corridor, but were confronted by an angry looking Marine major. Quinn immediately opened his mouth and said "Major, we located 3 of the humanoids and have had them transported to the brig."
The major nodded and turned away, then said "Report to Commander Sharp on the bridge" he said and turned to leave.
"Aye sir" Quinn replied with a smirk on his face. The former Intelligence officer glanced over his shoulder to see where the Marine had gone to and immediately knew that he had been had. The major was holding Fellana to the wall and had a hand on his communicator. Without hesitating, Quinn raised his rifle and fired, but the major noticed the movement and dodged out of the way. Quinn's weapon was set to kill, but the blast only nicked the major, but still had enough energy to knock him down the hall and into a bulkhead. He was going to finish the man off for tricking him, but Ral grabbed Quinn and pulled him down the hall. Ral pulled out a smoke grenade and tossed it down the corridor. It exploded, adding to the chaos.
The four of them rushed up the corridor, trying to reach an access crawlway to get them to Deck 16. They turned a corner and saw a group of security officers in the way. Ral dropped a portable shield generator onto the floor and activated it, creating an impenetrable barrier. Then the four turned in the opposite direction. They didn't have much time.

~ By the Andorian Gods… ~ Zhukarak wondered as the red alert klaxons ripped him out of what little sleep he had.
“Report!” Zhuk yelled at his com badge while he covered his blue upper body with the proper tunic that matched the rest of his uniform.
“We’ve been boarded…approximately 200 intruders.” Commander Reynold’s voice was strained as he was still gathering information.
“Where did they come from?” By now Zhukarak was out of his quarters and within seconds from the bridge.
“No idea, sir. We were tracking an asteroid…there are no ships in the area.”
By now Zhuk had reached the bridge which had seemed funny to him. 200 intruders and he had not met a single one along the way and no one seemed to want the bridge.
“I have a feeling there are less than 200.” Zhuk said out loud for Matt to hear. Matt already had more information since the red alert first started.
“Agreed Colonel. Major Johnson unexpectedly broke off communication as he was reporting in. I think he ran into them. Other reports are coming in of people firing at nothing but these disks, which I think are turning out to be transporter nodes. I think they came for something specific and if we can modulate what remaining shields we have, we’ll be able to isolate the intruders and make sure they don’t get away.”
“Good, let’s find them then!” Zhukarak took over his command chair and pushed a few buttons on the console, trying anything and everything in the hopes of locating these intruders.

Nathan got to his feet when he was certain whatever danger had entered sickbay, had by now passed. As a gentleman should, he first saw to Raleva as she was already a patient and then made sure Hannah was all right. Only when he checked on the women did he check on Daran to see whether the chief medical officer was all right.
Much to his surprise, the marines that Sharp had left behind, started helping out with cleaning up sickbay on their own accord, though Nathan could tell that they were both on full alert. "Daran, for some reason I have this feeling that the attacks on this ship have to do with you. You were drugged, and you were noted to have sent something into space. Any idea who might have drugged you and when?"
He glanced over his shoulder at his chief, while picking up the shards of laboratory equipment that had been temporarily set up in main sickbay. As he was distracted, he misjudged the size of a shard of glass and cut his hand on it. "Argh," he scowled as he reached for a clean cloth and wound it around his hand. Now was not the time to go fuss for a dermal regenerator, they had a sickbay to prepare. While he waited for Keller's answer, Nathan continued to clean the floor.
At that moment, Sharp staggered into sickbay, murmuring something about keeping an eye on whoever he had slung over his shoulder. At the moment of his collapse, the person rolled off his shoulder and landed on his back. "A Romulan!" Nathan exclaimed as he rushed forward, with Raleva in tow. "Quick, help me get them to a bed. Raleva tend to Sharp, he's not that badly injured. Just desinfect the wound for now and find something clean to bandage it with. The Romulan is worse off and I'll bet Cyle or Sharp himself will want a word with this one. Otherwise the Colonel himself may want a word."
Nathan beckoned Daran. "Help me doctor, you are the better surgeon and without proper equipment we have to work by hand."

Quinn, Emman and Fellana popped out of the Jeffries tube and onto Deck 16. Quinn was grinning maniacally. It wasn't every day that he got to shoot at Federation personel. He had picked off at least 3 or 4 in that little firefight in the corridor as he covered Emman and Fellana. Ral had tried to get in too, but he had had to leave the Romulan behind. Quinn shrugged mentally. Ral was never any fun anyway. However, he had to remain in charge of their little group.
"We should really get off this ship now" Fellana whined. "They're going to catch us."
Quinn shook his head. "We're getting what we came here for, then we're getting out. We won't get an opportunity like this again.
Emman was holding a hand scanner and gestured at a door. "This room has the console that we're looking for."
Quinn nodded. "All right, you and I will go in. Fellana, cover this corridor until we get out."
The Orion woman was about to complain, but Quinn quickly activated the door.

Things were happening quickly. Doctor Keller came forth and had volunteered the information of what the intruders were looking for. Doctor Keller had suspected that he had been in some type of trance and together with Doctor van Breughel they would run do a full physical of his body.
In the meantime, Zhukarak had all security teams converge onto deck 16. “I want them alive.” He had ordered. It seemed there were only four intruders onboard and one was already in sickbay. The others had sought out a computer terminal where Doctor Keller had left behind whatever information they sought.
Everything was in place. Zhukarak watched on his terminal for indication that they had retrieved the information. By now it had been replaced with encrypted junk that not even a Klingon buzzard would care for. *Beep-Beep*…there it was, they had retrieved it.
“Now!” A security forcefield had been erected containing the remaining three intruders as they tried to escape from the room. One of them had tried their weapons when the security teams closed in on them, but it was useless as the forcefield absorbed the energy.
“Security, do you have them?” Zhuk waited patiently for the reply before he left the bridge to visit with his new prisoners.
