She was just about to rinse her feathers a second time when suddenly she heard the familiar sound of a comm system. "This is Zyrona, who calls?" she replied, "and you better be female or I will not talk to you!"
'My Name is Tiffani Rylka, I am the Ships Counselor. Do not worry I am most definately a female *she laughed a little trying not to offend the Ambassador*
Zyrona looked at her with interested *Very well, Enter*
Tiffani Entered the Ambasssodr Guest corridors. *I was hoping that we could talk a little*

Tiffani Entered the Ambasssodr Guest corridors. *I was hoping that we could talk a little*
"Oh, you're already on the Jefferson," Zyrona chittered, smoothing her feathers out as the Victory's counselor entered, "please, sit. Drink? Food?"
She waddled over to the replicator, and fumbled a little with the controls, before remembering that she could also voice activate it. "Nuts," she ordered.
=^= Please specify what species of nuts =^= the computer queried.
"hazel, without the skin," Zyrona added, rolling her eyes at the counselor, "since coming aboard I've tried every type of nut this magnificent machine can make me, and I've liked hazelnuts best."
The Polanite picked up the bowl from the replicator and placed it in the middle of the table. "Help yourself. Glad you're here, I've been starting to feel lonely. The local healer seems otherwise occupied and my assistance are all good-for-nothing males. Should commend you, seemingly transporters can't be trusted lately...something's going on but nobody wants to tell me what!"
<Tiffani>
~~meanwhile~~
T'Val walked off the bridge quietly, and headed for Rayna's quarters. "How are you holding up?" she asked, after being invited in.
"Fairly well," Rayna replied, "but I didn't do it. I am still a suspect am I?"
T'Val nodded. "It is logical that you remain on their suspect list until it can be proven that you did not do it. Your word, obviously, does not seem good enough. However, Admiral Loskene told me that you currently are the least of his worries. He too, believes that you could not have done this, but he does see the logic in you remaining on the suspect list."
Rayna smiled. "I am glad to hear that, thank you for telling me."
T'Val returned the smile, however barely detectable. "I have to return to sickbay. If you need anything, you know how to call on Yade." The Vulcan healer turned and headed back for sickbay.

When Matt heard Lt. Johnson explain to the Admiral about the possibilty of a cloaked ship, everything started to make a bit more sense. Matt still was perplexed about Killarey, but that could be that the entity had done that.
Matt just didnt' know and then the ship went to yellow alert. Matt automactically went into battle mode. This was something that Matt couldn't control, he just did it once he felt trouble.
Once Matt heard his operations officer call Commander Matthews he knew that they should be ready for anything.
=^=Healer T'Val have you found out anything from the scans that I sent you?=^=

OCC: I will be posting that ....... may be the saboteur. I was told to do this, but I hope that it works out. You have to read to find out. For some reason Healer T'Val didn't answer Matt back, but Matt didn't think much about it. Right now she should be extremely busy. Matt decided to check on the hunt for Killarey, after the security officer regained consciousness he explained that Killarey was deranged and confused. It seemed that Killarey was not there saboteur. This troubled Matt a lot, he was almost certain that the list that Lt. Johnson's list should be updated. Matt then like he had been doing for the last 30 hours brought up the records of the Victory and Jefferson. He checked it all and still found nothing. It was all there, except the five minute intervals of complete shutdown. He still believed the innocence of Rayna, but it wasn't looking good for her. Who could have the in-tel to find out the codes of a former Romulan officer. Of the people Matt could think of were Admiral Loskene, Commander Matthews, or Commodore Walker, but Matt was 100% sure that they were not responsible for the accident. Matt then realized that he had not yet looked at the senior staff of both ships. He found it hard to think that a senior officer would be a traitor and possibly hurt member of his ship. Matt then took out the personal records of all the senior officers of the Jefferson and Victory. The biggest trouble was that senior officer of both ships were on both ships so it could take a lot longer. He quickly eliminated Admiral Loskene, Commander Commodore Walker and Counselor Rylka. The process then turned out to be really really long. The doctor on board the Victory had an extensive profile and record, Matt had to re-read it three times before he could clear him. Then came Ensign Wilson, the Chief of Security for the Jefferson. Matt felt sure that a lonely ensign had the clearance to do this much damage to a Federation ship, but in this time and age anything could happen. Matt gave a sigh of relief when he read the Ensign's profile. He was recently out of the Academy and knew nothing about navigation or intelligence. To be sure Matt re-ran his profile on the Federation database and found that it was clear. The list turned out to be longer than he expected, but Matt wouldn't stop until he could be at ease. Then it hit him like a slap in face. He couldn't believe what he was reading about this person. He had met this person before, but Matt couldn't picture it. Matt got up and walked to wards the turbolift, leaving a young Lt. in command. Matt walked in a slight frantic pace, but calmed down. Once Matt regained his cool he walked to wards the weapons locker and took out two phasers and walked out and headed to wards the transporter room. =^=Ensign Wilson I want you to meet me at the transporter room, ASAP=^= =^=I'll be right there=^= Matt's trip to the transporter room was quicker than he expected. It seemed that Matt had gotten into a slight jog to wards the transporter room. Matt had to wait a minute before Wilson came in. "What do you need sir?" Wilson said frustrated. Matt the totally forgot about Killarey, but this was more important. "I need you to accompany me to the Victory," Matt said as he threw the phaser at Wilson. Wilson became pale for a second, but the blood soon returned to him. "Why do you need me sir?" Wilson said. Matt had thought about this, but he couldn't contact the Victory. The traitor might be alerted. "Because I can trust you ensign," Matt said flatly. This seemed to calm him down and Wilson stepped onto the transporter. Matt stepped on and nodded to the transporter chief. In a split second, Matt felt the slight dematerlization of his body and was on the Victory. The ensign in the transporter was a shocked to see the Commander and Ensign on her transporter. "Ensign I want you to tell no one except Commodore Walker that we are here, is that understood," Matt said as he walked out of the transporter room not waiting for a response. Matt knew exactly where to go. He had scanned the Victory before he had come on board. He quickly made his way to wards some officer's quarters. He pressed in his clearance code and walked in, making sure that Wilson stayed outside. "Is it you?" Off: Who do you think it is? If you already know don't say anything. Also sorry to keep you waiting I guess since I don't know where some people want to take this that I would let the person take it. ;D

The atmosphere was tense on the bridge of the USS Jefferson. It was probably likewise on the Victory as the two crews tried to ascertain what exactly had been causing all the mysterious chaos. Both ships were on red alert, and transporters on the Jefferson were off limits. However, Admiral Loskene had granted Commander Reynolds to use it for Intel purposes.
Loskene himself was on the bridge, awaiting information from Lieutenant Johnson on the scans of the area. At the same time, Loskene focused his mind, so that perhaps he could receive further information on the mysterious creature or creatures. As of yet, no luck...
Loskene: Mr. Johnson, have you found anything unusual?
<tag Johnson>
As Loskene received his answer from Johnson, there was a power drain on the bridge. Lights flickered and consoles began flashing. The bridge officers looked around in confusion as everything seemed to malfunction. Within a few seconds, the chaos ended.
Loskene: Er....What was that? Odd, it-
The ship shook began to shake violently. It also abruptly halted within a few seconds. When the shaking subsided, a dull but deeper vibration occured.
Loskene darted quickly to the OPS console. Matthew began to contact all decks asking for damage reports.
Loskene: ODN pathways on Deck 17 have been destroyed... Bio neural gel packs...
Matthew: Sir?
Loskene: ... I'm not reading any activity in the BNGPs in that section... The systems on Deck 17 have been cut off from the brain (computer core) of the ship. Without the BNGPs there is no way for the system to operate. Primary life support systems are on Deck 17. It's switching to the secondary systems on Deck 15, engineering.
Matthew: Engineering is investigating the situation.
Loskene: As will I. Commander Matthew, you have the bridge. We will need security guarding ship systems at all times.

Loskene asked Johnson if he had found anything unusual. Alex looked at his console and relayed the readings to Loskene.
"Sir, I'm detecting an energy buildup in the...thing...whatever it is..." said Johnson
As Loskene received his answer from Johnson, there was a power drain on the bridge. Lights flickered and consoles began flashing. The bridge officers looked around in confusion as everything seemed to malfunction. Within a few seconds, the chaos ended.
"Sir, we've just been hit by severe gravimetric distortions eminating from the unknown object." Johnson exclaimed.
The second lot of vibrations occurred and Loskene left the bridge.
Johnson's console bleeped in a distressed sort of way and he shouted, "Commander, more gravimetric distortions headed our way!"
The ship shook violently again and then stopped.
Johnson spoke, "EPS conduit on deck three has blown out commander. Sheilds are down to 68%...we can't take too many more of those..."

I cannot tell you excatly as it's not my place to i'm afraid. *she paused momenttarily* I'm Sure Healer T'val would of loved to spend more time talking to you but she has her duties to attend to. "Commander Reynolds something is happening on the Jefferson," Wilson said as he entered the room of the possible tratior. Matt had to get back to the Jefferson. He motioned for Wilson to follow him outside.
Matt incoded the door and told him if he tried to excape to shoot him. Matt then ran towards the bridge of the Victory.
"What is happening sir?" Matt asked.
"I don't know," Commodore Walker responded.
"Sir can you beam me over to the bridge?" Matt asked.
"I think so," he responded. The Commodore gave another order and Matt was transported to the Jefferson. Lucky for Matt the transporter chief on board the Victory transported him to the bridge. Matt quickly went to work as he checked out what was happening on the ship.
He read again and again the reports that were coming in, but it didn't make since. There was a cascading effect going on and he didn't know how to stop it.

Ensign Candela > probe launch sir”

Ensign Candela > transferring incoming data information to the captain Chair console sir’
Cmdr Matthew > the probe sensor are giving us our true reading there is no spheric nebula within 6 light years of us”

Science officer Ensign Candela sat at the Bridge science station sending out sensor Scans to get better readings of the area. As the data came in she forwarded the information to Cmdr Matthew console. What Matt was recieving didn't match with the scans he was getting from navigation or his own station. It seemed that every console on the ship was giving them anything they wanted.
The nebula puzzled Matt even more. How could they not tell that a nebula was just right next to them. When Commander Matthew ordered the probe to be launched, Matt hoped that it would answer some of thier questions.
Once the readings came in all Matt had was more questions. It turned out that there was no nebula, but the Jefferson said there was. Matt was getting extremely frustrated at the console.
"Damn this stupid thing," Matt cursed softly. He was always good with computers and systems, but it seemed that since he entered Starfleet it took tens time longer than usual. Matt then decided that he would do things manually. He went into into the operations systems and went to its coded programing.
It seeemed that it to had been tampered with. Matt knew that this must of been done recently, because no one has been near his station except his second. After a few minutes of changing the coding, Matt knew that his sensors would now work.
"Sir I have fixed the tampered codes in the operations console and I don't read a nebual out there," Matt explained to Commander Matthew.
"Okay thanks Commander Reynolds, but how did this happen?" the Commander asked him right back.
"I don't know sir, I was hoping someone could tell me that," Matt said even more frustated knowing that anything could and most liking would go wrong.

Zyrona huffed. "That stiff one spending more time with me? Sure!" she exclaimed, "she obviously had other concerns and was more busy with her own concerns than that of us. She only asked if she could scan us, and we approved. Sure, I've talked to her, and she does seem to hear everything that's said, but I've yet to see her smile."
She picked up another handful of nuts. "As for my species, there's nothing much to tell. The females rule our governments, and the males are really only good for keeping the place clean, and assist us in reproduction. Sometimes theres one smart enough to be able to handle and work with young ones, and when deserving they may teach our young ones."
Zyrona paused, popping a few of the nuts into her beak-like mouth. "But other than that, they're really useless. How about yours counselor? Tell me more about the species in the Federation, I haven't really had anyone intellectual tell me about them yet, and the healer only told me about her species and that of her husband...and apparently her child is another species altogether from what I understood."

Johnson's console bleeped again and he informed no one in particular, "The unknown is sending out more gravitational distortions, brace for impact everyone..."
The ship immediately shook violently again, "Damage to the main deflector array," said Johnson, "microfractures are occurring in the hull...increasing power to the structural integrity field to compensate."
It occurred to Johnson, "Sir, they didn't attack us when our sensors were fooled, they could be trying to distract us from something...Mr Reynolds, perhaps it would be a good idea to conduct interior and exterior scans of the area..."

"Sir, they didn't attack us when our sensors were fooled, they could be trying to distract us from something...Mr Reynolds, perhaps it would be a good idea to conduct interior and exterior scans of the area
Matt had not thought about that, but it was the best idea that he had heard in a long while.
"Running scans," Matt said out loud. Thankfully for him his scans were the only ones working correctly, and it turned out that Lt. Johnson's intution was correct. There seemed to be something on the hull of the ship. It looked like the entities that were inside of the ship.
"Sir there are things outside the ship, I cannot tell if its an entity or something else," Matt said as to Admiral Loskene.
"Okay," was all he could say at that moment. Matt tried to get what his sensors were saying to him on the screen, but the picture was distorted.
"What is that?" a ensign on the bridge asked as she saw the picture on the screen.
"Lt. what do you think?" Matt asked hoping that he would get an answer.

Looks like a hyper-discombobulator to me... (Sorry, couldn't resist that was OOC btw) ------------------------------------------------------------ Johnson looked intently at the object on the screen. It was fading and reappearing. Johnson didn't really have a clue what it was, but he did the best he could, "It looks like it's phasing...to where I don't know. I'm running a subspace scan of the object." His console beeped and he read the results. "It doesn't seem to be alive...it's mechanical in nature, at least. From what I can tell, this thing contains some advanced equipment that could have been used to modify the ship's computer." Then he noticed something more disturbing, "Sir! There's a tri-cobalt signature on it...it could be an indication of a tri-cobalt explosive. If that thing explodes, it'll take the Jefferson, and most likely the Victory with it." <tag everyone>

"Sir! There's a tri-cobalt signature on it...it could be an indication of a tri-cobalt explosive. If that thing explodes, it'll take the Jefferson, and most likely the Victory with it."
"What?" Matt said as he heard Lt. Johnson's findings. He then decided to run his own scans and discovered that what he had reported was true. There was a tri-cobalt device on the hull of the Jefferson. Matt had never seen a tri-cobalt explosion, but he had studied and read that one of those explosions could easliy destory a Federation Starbase.
"Admiral what should we do?" Matt asked," we cannot teleport it what ever it is. We might cuase it to explode."
<Tag Loskene>
The answer that the Admiral gave Matt and the rest of the bridge staff didn't do much to keep Matt from worrying. His first real posting in Starfleet had turned out to be more dangerous than his training mission. At least your not trapped on the Areowing Matt chuckled.
Off: Come on everyone lets get on posting. I know I'm starting to sound like a broken record, but we need more opinion's about what this little creature thingy is, lol.

OOC: I know what you mean, Commander. Unfortunately the Jefferson only has 3 senior staff positions filled (Not including the XO position) And I believe the Victory is also low on crew at the moment. But a lot of good people will be graduating from the academy soon, so maybe some of them will grace this ship and fill a few of the vacant positions. ON: The bridge remained even more tense then it first was... The sudden fact that a tri-cobalt explosive on the hull of the Jefferson was enough to make even the highest flag officer hide under his desk. (OFF: No offense, SA Nova. ) Nevertheless, Loskene proceeded in a relatively calm manner. Cautious but contained. He spoke in a calm, soft voice.Loskene: Put the explosive on the screen, please. The bulkhead on the bridge flickered on to become the view screen, and it focused on the area where the explosive was.Loskene: Magnify section D-33. If I'm not mistaken that is the engineering area. Anyway, I suppose it wouldn't matter where it'd be placed. It would destroy the ship either way. "Admiral what should we do?" Matt asked," we cannot teleport it what ever it is. We might cuase it to explode." Loskene: Indeed, that probably wouldn't be a very good idea... It's a shame hull plating isn't detachable these days. If that were the case, it would be a simple matter of removing the specific section of the plate... Someone on the bridge muttered "It's hard to believe something so small could cause so much damage"Loskene: I am willing to entertain any suggestions. Perhaps the Victory can assist us... <Tag anyone, including the crew of the Vic>

Johnson heard him say it. The thought occurred to him but it was a dangerous one. This was one of those life changing and potentially life ending moments.
Johnson turned to the Admiral, "First sir, I recommend we have both the Jefferson and the Victory direct all available power to putting a forcefield over it so that if it does explode, maybe the damage will be reduced."
<Loskene>
The attack from the alien thing had ceased, it obviously seemed to think that they were occupied enough for now.
Johnson continued, "What we really need is more information. We need somebody to go out there and get in depth readings on the device. We need to take some advanced sensor equipment and ascertain what can be done, if we can disarm it. I volunteer sir."
The moment he said it, he knew it was stupid but, what else could he do. Someone had to volunteer and in all the missions he had studied, the really brave and courageous officers were the ones to say "I volunteer."

T'Val paced around her office, glancing from the computer terminal on her desk to he PADD she was holding. "Interesting," she murmured, as she walked into main sickbay to access the data on the samples she had received earlier from the operations chief, Reynolds.
"Curious," she said, as she walked down the length of sickbay to a terminal on the wall, and accessed yet another file on the unknown aliens. She was oblivious to the nurses glancing at her questioningly, and exchanging worried glances.
With now two PADD's in hand, she walked back into her office and sat down in the comfortable chair at her terminal. Before her, on the terminals display it showed a picture of the DNA belonging to their prospect saboteur. Next to it, it showed DNA segments of both the Baltorians and the Polanites.
"T'Val to Reynolds," she called, after tapping her combadge, "I have found something which you should see. You may rule out any crewmember of the Jefferson and the Victory as the prospect saboteur."
<Reynolds>
She continued to gaze at the DNA helices that turned around on her screen, at the highlights that denoted the common grounds of their saboteur, and the two delegate parties. "This is really interesting," she whispered to herself, as she set to make a back-up copy of her data.
"T'Val to admiral Loskene, please come down to sickbay. There is something I would like to show you...." She trailed off. "You might want to bring the baltorian and polanite ambasadors with you admiral, they should see this too."

Loskene: Yes, I suppose that is a good idea for the time being. Mr. Johnson, proceed. Such a powerful forcefield will no doubt take a great amount of energy to create. If it comes to that, you have permission to allocate power-
Loskene turned around to face the Lieutenant. What he proposed was dangerous and many things could go wrong. If anyone, the Admiral himself should have executed the course of action...But unfortunately he was too busy with internal ship problems to deal with the external problems. After a few moments of careful thought, he spoke.
Loskene: You must realize the perils involved in this. I know that your human instinct is impulsively telling you to do this, but this is one of those times where the problem requires more than-
Loskene stopped. He knew that Johnson would not buy into his words. Human instinct, while it may be primitive and even feral at times, has a way of triumphing over the situation. He continued.
Loskene: ...But...we don't have much choice, our options are limited... Very well. I reluctantly agree. You may..."observe" the device and ascertain it's danger, but that is all. You will tell me every detail you come across. If I feel that there is any immediate danger, I will have you beamed back here, Understood?
<tag Johnson>
Loskene communicated back to her.
Loskene: Understood Doctor. I'll be down with the ambassadors shortly. Loskene out. Good luck, Mr. Johnson.

You may rule out any crewmember of the Jefferson and the Victory as the prospect saboteur." Once Matt heard what the doctor said he quickly got up and headed towards the turbolift, but then he heard her talking to the Admiral and he soon joined him on his way towards sickbay. "Sir why would you need the ambassordors?" Matt asked knowing that the answer. <Tag Loskene> The Admiral got off on Deck 14 to get the ambassador's as Matt headed towards sickaby. Once he entered sickbay he quickly asked the Doctor. "What have you found, Doctor?" Matt asked. <Tag T'Val>

OFF: this might break my record of longest post ever, don't believe, check out my signature. on: Daya sat in the shuttle that was taking him to the the Jefferson, it had been a long flight and he slept most of the way, but the last few minutes had begun to bother him. It seemed that the Jefferson was having problems, but with what he didn't know. " i hope they aren't being taken by Romulans" Daya said under his breath, remembering his academy training mission. Daya maneuvered the shuttle towards the ship, and hailed them. When the screen came up, it was choppy, but he could still hear and see barely. "this is Ensign Daya, requesting permission to board, boarding codes, alpha alpha omega beta" Daya waited for moment, then was given clearance to board. He moved the shuttle in, but suddenly had a few sensor problems, according to the sensors, the ship he was docking in, was not there. "Damn things" he said, "guess I'll just have to do this the hard way" He moved the shuttle into the shuttle bay and slowly lowered it until he felt it touch down, then shut down all systems, and left the shuttle, with his bag in hand. He left the shuttle bay and went straight to a turbolift, in his mind he was wondering what was going on. when he arrived at the turbolift, he called out to his deck, and went to his quarters. dropping off his bags and he went back to the turbolift and called out"Bridge" the turbolift beeped and hummed to life, taking him to the bridge in a short amount of time. he walked out the lift and walked onto the bridge, which seemed to be in a stressful mood. he walked over to the Commander Officer, and noticed it was an Admiral, 'well, admiral McCormick would be glad to here this' he thought before speaking. "Ensign Daya reporting for duty as your new CTSO, sir" he stood at attention and looked at the admiral staring in his eyes. OFF: i don't think that broke my record

ooc: the commanding officer is not on the bridge...but in sickbay
ic:
T'Val waited with answering the COO until RA Loskene and the two ambassadors had entered sickbay. She raised an eyebrow as she saw Loskene's exhasperated look. The two ambassadors were squabbling in high-pitched voices, apparently arguing about something trivial once more.
"Quiet!" T'Val said forcefully, sending her own firelizard awing, as the little green was startled awake. "Please, follow me into my office and find yourselves a seat."
Once Loskene, Reynolds, Zyrona and the Baltorian ambassador were seated, she turned around her computer screen to face them. "The left DNA strand is that of our intruder," she explained, "it seems to be a spaceborne entity which is able to enter ships unnoticed, and wreak havoc as you all have discovered."
She pointed at the strand to it's immediate right. "This strand is Baltorian DNA," she explained, then pointed at the most right strand, "and this is Polanite DNA."
"And what's that supposed to mean," Zyrona cut in aerily.
"I am getting to that madam ambassador," T'Val answered, while she tapped a few commands on her keyboard. "The highlighted areas are strands of nucleotides which seem to have a common basis in all three DNA strands," she continued, "I have run a complete DNA analysis and I have come to the conclusion that the nucleotides in these particular areas are a 100% match."
The Vulcan healer glanced at each person before her in turn. "Our intruder shares a common ancestry of both Polanite and Baltorian," she concluded, "furthermore, DNA analysis shows that this entity is at least five-thousand years old, which leads me to believe that somewhere in the past, both Baltorians and Polanites shared a common ancestry, which evoluated into two different species over time."
Zyrona sat staring at her, for once at a complete loss for words.
<Loskene, Reynolds, baltorian ambassador>
