"So, tell me. what are you doing on board this ship" Daya said as he paced around the brig, looking at Mr. Mavromatis. The prisoner hung his head and didnt say anything.
"Ya know, if i had my way you wouldnt be sitting, and you wouldnt be able to move, and you would slowly begin to understand that you should answer all my questions, do you know why that is?"
Mr. Mavromatis just stared blankly at the floor of his cell as Daya stopped in front of it. "I would have you chained standing upright, with no food, and only your own sweat to drink."
Daya smiled at the other gaurds in the room, knowing full well they enjoyed his bluffing. "You would be forced to watch rabid dogs eat each other alive, and the victor turned to you, ripping your skin and flesh off your kicking legs while you still lived, how does that sound to you?" Daya said as he turned around to face the captive, his face a more serious portrait than before.

"Holy..." Mrak was staring at the screen in Jeff's office. There were quite a few programs that it caught... over 2,000 so far.
"Now we narrow the results. If the code has anyting to do with transporter systems, I'll stay."
"That should narrow the list."
It did. there were soon only a few hundred results on the screen. And that was only the extra programming not the basic programming that couldn't be acessed- how the tranporters worked, that sort of thing. taht was hardwired in. And those areas could only be acessed by two people on the ship: the captain of the Cheif engineer. And they were even sealed with a tritanium alloy after each access. That could'nt be duplicated. so the hardwiring was safe.
"you plan on narrowing that even further?"
"Do you ahve an AI bot? we need something that can sort and pick out exactly what each program does?"
"what if we were to test them?"
"And what if we hit on the one that we're trying to destroy?"
"We don't have to use the ship's transporters- we can use the extra buffers and put them on a suttle or in a lab."
"lt. Hope won't be happy." Jeff observed.

TAG who ever wants to post for Mr. M OOC: I'll post for him. (BTW, when did we find out his name?"How does that sound to you?" asked Daya.
Mavromatis laughed.
"It sounds to me like some green Starfleet officer thinks he can scare me. You're Starfleet, I know that you wouldn't do any of that rubbish. Take a hike Lieutenant, and come back when you've got lies that can scare more than children in the playground." He said.

OOC he had a name tag
Mavromatis laughed.

Daya laughed softly as he looked at the prisoner. "Do you honestly think i cant do what i suggested?" Daya said as he stared coldly at Mr. Mavromatis. "you see, i dont have to allow to let you live, i could make up some very convincing lies about you trying to excape, and simply shoot you, many times. But that wouldnt be any fun for me, hell if you wish i could contact the nearest Klingon bird of prey and let them have you, either way is fine for me"

"Ok Lieutenant, you're obviously not very good at this. We've established that you can't intimidate me, so what's next in your arsenal?"

Loskene: Mr. Tedak, my apologies for not meeting you sooner, I had some things to attend to. If you'll come with me, I am ready to hear you out. Meeting dismissed.
"That is quite all right admiral," Tedak replied, if not somewhat stiffly, "you have the responsebility of leading this magnificent crew, as well as keeping them and the ship safe weighing on your shoulders. I must assume at times this may become a burdensome task." The Romulan waited until everyone had filed out of the briefingroom, and only himself and the admiral were present. "As I tried to explain earlier, I must convey T'Val's apollogies towards her sudden absence. She has been under tremendous stress lately, and was feeling unwell."
He paused. "In fact, it was not quite stres, distress is a more appropriate term." Quietly he started explaining the entire situation, and how she had come to accidently overdose herself. "I am certain that by the time the Jefferson returns, she will be ready for duty," he assured Loskene.
Then he turned his attention to the PADD he was holding. "Admiral, what if Doctor Lorenz does not wish to be rescued or found?" he then changed the subject, "I am now assuming that he is either an engineering specialist, or a doctor in science. And if the Romulans have already recruited him, and he has accepted them, I fear that we may be facing a hard time convincing him to come back." He paused again. "While I hope we find him before the Romulans do, I recommend we factor in the assumption that he may already be in the hands of the Romulans."
<loskene>
Together, they walked back onto the bridge. "Meanwhile, until we reach Stubb's planet, if there is anything I can assist your crew with please let me know," Tedak offered, "I have had security training when I was still in the military service and even received medical training." He could see that the admiral didn't quite trust him, and he thought it was about time he earned that trust. "If there is anything I can do to assist...." He trailed off.

Scene: Bridge, Deck 1, USS JEFFERSON
Matt had left there last meeting with many questions that he knew no one had an answer to. Well almost no one, Matt knew that RA Loskene knew something about these Romulan factions; in fact it seemed to have him spooked, which worried Matt even more. RA Loskene was a seasoned decorated officer who had been through a lot, but he had never seen him act this way before. He was quiet and barely spoke to the rest of the bridge crew. The usual banter coming from his seat and that of Commander Matthews was now almost extinct.
Yet he felt as though there was nothing he could do for his commanding officer, but for now he had to work which was a hard task in itself.
"I have had security training when I was still in the military service and even received medical training." He could see that the admiral didn't quite trust him, and he thought it was about time he earned that trust. "If there is anything I can do to assist...."
"RA Loskene, we are 34 hours away from Stubb's World," Matt reported," sickbay is reporting that there are ready for a serious medical emergency, engineering is still working on trying to find all the programs that our friend in the brig put into the ship."
"What about tactical and helm?" RA Loskene asked.
<Tag Alexander/Daya>
After hearing the rest of the reports Matt went back to work, but found that his body was begging for food. Luckily for him the chronometer read 1600 hours and his shift was now over.
"Monica your in charge until Charlie comes and relieves you," Matt said. Lt. Charlie Ward was the beta shift operations officer. Matt was glad that he was an experienced ops officer, and for that reason he usually got a good nights sleep.
"Yes sir," Monica said as she took over Matt's seat and finished his latest report. Matt smiled at his second and made his way to the turbolift.
"Computer locate Caleb Reynolds."
"Caleb Reynolds is in Room 232, Deck 5."
"How many people are currently in the room?"
"Two."
"Deck 5"
Matt was pleased that Caleb was still with his tutor. Matt had told him this yesterday and Caleb didn't seem very pleased. In fact it was the first time that Caleb had been really angry at him.
"I haven't had a teacher since I was 6 and a half," Caleb said trying to sway Matt. Matt wouldn't hear any of it, he would need to go to school and as long as he was on the Jefferson he would get tutored.
"Well you will have one now," Matt said as opened the door and let, Ensign Jackie Smith enter. She was a member of the gamma shift and was usually reading in her quarters during this time. So when Matt asked around she was the first person to volunteer.
Scene: Matt's quarters, Deck 5, USS JEFFERSON
The swoosh of the turbolift brought Matt out of his thoughts and so he proceeded to his quarters. When he entered his quarters he was pleasantly surprised to see Caleb reading the American Masterpiece, The Grapes of Wrath. Matt could remember when he had to read that book and he was surprised to remember that he had enjoyed it.
“Ah Commander, we are just reading up on some old American Literature,” Ensign Smith said getting up from her seat.
“Hey Matt, can I have a turtle?” Caleb asked as he closed his book.
“I’ll think about it, but till then do you want to go eat lunch with me?” Matt asked as he helped them clean all the mess that had accumulated.
“Yeah, can I have some ice cream?” Caleb asked with a glee in his voice that Matt could only say yes to.
“Of course,” Matt said as he was handed a PADD by Caleb’s teacher.
“This is his homework, it will be due by the end of the week,” Ensign Smith said,” and hopefully with Ms. Rayna we will travel to sickbay on Friday for an extended biology lessen.”
“Sounds good,” Matt said as he looked over Caleb’s homework. When Ensign Smith left, Caleb became his old self and started playing around with all the stuff that Matt had gotten him.
“You know that you will have to do this stuff,” Matt said as he waited for Caleb to join him at the table. He of course had a big serving of ice cream in the middle, but just to be mean he had set one of his personal shield generators around it so Caleb couldn’t reach it.
“Hey that is not fair,” Caleb said eyeing Matt and the ice cream.
“You can only eat it when you finish your other food,” Matt said pointing to the plate in front of both of them. Matt couldn’t believe how fast he had eaten, he almost thought that Caleb would have chocked on the tiny pieces of bacon on the potato.
“Okay done,” Caleb said.
“I can see that,” Matt said as he deactivated the shield.
“You can only have two scoops and then I can help you with some of your homework.”
“Do I have to start today?” Caleb asked.
“Yes, you have to start today,” Matt said as he once again started to eat his potato and steak.
OCC: Okay since I and many others don't know when we are supposed to reach Stubb's World I put the time table at 34 hours which should work for everyone.

"lt. Gregor to Pudlo."
"Go ahead. did you find something?"
"I'm afraid so. I think you'd better have a look at this. Auxilarry control area, computer section."
"On my way." ------- When Jeff got there, he was escorted by lt. Gregor to a spot in the wall. "If you remove that wall plaiting, you will find a computer pack tied into several other programs. Something we would never look for- hardwired into other programs."
"Brillant. Now why don't we take it off?"
"it's programmed to go off if we take the plating off. sensors and all that. we found it in a routine tricorder sweep." Gregor grimiced. "and it's got a timer too. In 30 hours, we're going to be terraformed ourselves."
"Why don't we disable the other systems it's tied into?"
"Those are hardwired in- we can't remove them. And the thing has got a backup transmitter and power cell, in case we cut the wires."
"This does not look good."

Scene> ten forward
Cmdr Matthew Found himself Walking the corridors after excusing himself from A dinner break he had just finish passing many of the junior officers going about their business while a few of the civilians stopped to have a chat about recent situations all of which he tried to avoid as civilians tended to want to know more than was deemed necessary.
"Main Bridge" he instructed the turbo lift.
The turbo lift stopped halfway to let on a new crew member, who more or less snapped to attention when he saw him standing there.
"Good afternoon Lieutenant Wilson" he said
He looked surprised that he had even knew his name but he had made a point of checking up on all the new arrivals that had taken up position on the ship after the loss of several other members of crew.
Standing next to him, he smiled as he tried in vain not to keep chancing a look at him so he broke the silence himself.
"So, are you settling alright Lieutenant?"
<reply - Wilson>
"Well, I’m sure you will prove a valuable asset to this crew, have you checked in with your department head?"
<reply - Torah>
"Good, well, if you ever have any questions or need someone to talk to then feel free to come to me or the Admiral, we're always ready to listen"
he nodded as he let him off the turbo lift first before following him out, coming round to the command chair, he stood still for a moment looking at the view screen before addressing Lt Gray at the Conn.
"What’s our status Lt Gray?"
<reply - Gray>
"Good" he noted before relieving the Senior Duty Bridge officer , he sat and began reading through some of the new crew's service jackets.

<Bridge> <Alert - Yellow>
Cmdr Matthew was glad Alpha shift was relieving him in an hour, he felt drained since not having a decent night's sleep in a long time, maybe he would drop by sickbay and see if the Doctor could give him something.
Ensign Tomes> to Commander Matthew
Cmdr Matthew> here, go ahead Ensign
We've purged the sickbay computer. Its clean
Cmdr Matthew >Good work, you better do a standard scan of the rest of the ship just to be sure”
Aye, Commander. When you see Admiral Loskene, inform him that Ensign Darnel never got a chance to thank him, and she would like the opportunity. She's able to talk about the experience more if he so wishes.
I'll be sure to let him know, in fact, you can tell the Ensign that the Admiral is in the Duke's Restaurant having breakfast now. I’m sure a couple minutes break for the both of you wouldn’t do any harm=/\=
=/\=Aye, Commander. Tomes out.
Cmdr Matthew turned back to the PADD he was holding and began composing a message .
To:Lt Jennifer Paccar From: Cmdr J.T Matthew
Begin Transmission:
Lt, with regards to advice on how to handle Ops, why don’t you come down to the bridge on my next duty shift and I'll go over some pointers with you. As to being a Bridge Officer, your doing a good job already, don’t worry, it just a little time to get used to that’s all.
End Transmission
Cmdr Matthew sent the message then looked up just in time to see Lt Marks approach from the turbo lift.
Dev: "Sir, Alpha shift reporting for duty. Do you have anything to turn over?"
Cmdr Matthew> The Sickbay computers have been purged thanks to Ensigns darnel and Tomes, they will be doing scans of the whole shift for the rest of your shift although you should get Ops to keep a check on their status at regular intervals. Our course remains unchanged until Admiral Loskene assumes command of the bridge or if anything should happen between then and now, other than that the bridge is yours.
*Dev listens intently. Checks ship's status, course heading, and confirms the CDO.* Dev: "Very well, everything appears to be in order. I relieve you. Have a good off shift. Get some rest."
I will, Computer, begin Alpha Shift.
Cmdr Matthew left Marks to the big chair and strolled off of the bridge and headed to Sickbay where he would try and get the Doctor to give him something to help him sleep.

Mavromatis hadn't spoken for Daya in 15 minutes, he was enjoying annoying this young Starfleet officer, but the game's entertainment had worn off a little and he decided to just get it over with.
"Okay Lieutenant," said Mavromatis, "I'll tell you what's going on, it doesn't matter anyway. I'm a Romulan. There are currently three Warbirds orbiting Stubb's World and they already have your Doctor Lorenz. You're not going to get there anyway because in about thirty minutes this ship is going to be a big chunk of rock. If by some miracle you do manage to get to Stubb's World, you'd better hope that that fool Tedak can come up with something good, fast or you'll have an interstellar incident on your hands."
Mavromatis laughed the evil kind of laugh that you only expect to see in 1930s horror movies...

Daya joined in with the laughter going on from the cell in front of him, and when Mr. Mavromatis stopped Daya looked at him. "Oh i'm sorry i thought you said funny, my bad." Daya now began to have his fun, he had broken through to the civilian, and now acted as if he didnt belive a word that was being said, thus causing much frustration.
"How many warbirds did you say, 2 or was it 5"
"3 you ididot!"
"hm, if you say so. Now are you sure we will be a hunk of chalk? cause, i hardly think a hunk chalk would very exciting"
"Rock you imbicile, R-O-C-K rock, not chalk, a big hunk of ROCK"
"Oh a rock, well being a vulcan one would imagine you had a very clear voice and i could understand what you are saying, but appearntly not"
"ROMULAN, I am a Romulan you fool"
"And are you sure the Doctors terraforming decive is in the shield display, i could have sworn you said the replicators myself"
"Its not in the shields, of the replicators you human, its in the transporter buffer'
"thank you"
=^= Daya to mc7_of_9, it would appear the civilian had mangaed to place the Doctor technology in the transporter buffers, i think we should start lookng there=^=
OFF i hope that didnt mess anyone up, i was kinda lost on ideas so i made up a place for the thing that will change us into chalk, i mean rock

Scene: Below decks ------------------------ Sd: 3.2215 Scene: Stellar Cartography, USS Jefferson ------------------------ Still dressed in the dress she had worn at the dinner party, Emma didn’t realize where she was going until she found herself outside the Stellar Cartography lab. She guessed she had been following some instinct that told her she wanted to see Rura Penthe. She knew there probably were some holodeck program that would take her there, but she didn’t want to get that close. Maybe one day, she would try to find out if she had been right about the nightmares. Not now. She wasn’t ready for that.
She stepped in and found the room already occupied. “Oh. Ensign Kazihiro. Please forgive me, I won’t disturb you.” She turned to leave. “No, that is quite alright Doctor Ask. I just wrapped up my meeting with the Chief Science Officer here in the lab just a few moments ago, and thought to look over the upcoming mission parameters.
I was checking some warp calculations. Was there something specific you wanted here in Stellar Cartography, or did you wish to talk about the unpleasant task we have ahead of us tomorrow?” “Actually, it was the lab. I needed… that is, I wanted to look up Rura Penthe. Lt. La’Peer was born there you know.” Emma realized how foolish she sounded when she said it aloud. She was behaving like… she didn’t want to think about it.
“I didn’t know. I suppose I assumed that he was born on Kronos. But that’s like assuming every human was born on Earth. Give me a moment to save this work, and you may have the lab.” Kazihiro turned to back to the console and began to work. The lab’s holographic display swam dizzily out from the view of Ansolon-One and Bene Tellax and reset with Ansolon-One in the center at its standard magnification.
“There you go Dr. Ask. I’ll be in my quarters whenever you are ready to begin tomorrow morning. Good evening.” “Actually, could you stay Ensign? In case I need some help with the lab of course.” She smiled in recognition that she wasn’t fooling anybody. The last thing she wanted now was to be left alone and she just hoped she wasn’t disturbing any plans the ensign had for the rest of the evening.
“Of course, Dr. Ask. I would be happy to assist you.” In truth, Tamiro felt glad of the company as well. The encounter with his nephew earlier in the day still weighed heavily on his mind. The Doctor was a trained professional.
He had but to ask her and he was certain the she would be able to help him understand the walls that Yasusushi continually threw up between them. ‘Aye, just ask her you idiot’ he mused. But he didn’t. Instead he pretended to busy himself near the lab’s entrance in case the Doctor wished to talk.
“I… Ensign…” Emma was not sure how to formulate what she had in mind. For the first time in years, she could not rely on her empathy to know what another person was feeling and she found it both a freedom and a restriction.
A freedom, because she could only guess what the other person was feeling, and a restriction for the same reasons. She would not know if she offended him or not, but then again, she would not have to weigh her words as she spoke them and reach out for the reactions to them. She wondered if the empathy made her a better doctor, or if she had managed despite it.
As Kazihiro looked up, waiting for what she wanted to say, she decided she would take the risk of offending him. “Could we leave the ranks behind for tonight? Just call me Emma – please? I’m not here as a Science officer tonight.” The Ensign looked a bit surprised, but nodded slightly. “As you wish…Emma”. Emma stepped further into the lab and found a seat. She pulled her shawl closer around her and shivered a little. She was not really , but the emotional upheaval made her feel exhausted and shivery.
“You are a science officer… what do you know about empathy? And true telepathy? You see, there was…. a bond… between Lt. La’Peer and myself.
I am not a telepath, but I could sometimes hear his thoughts.” Although she felt like she was diving in from the deep end, she decided that once she started, she might as well finish. “I think I shared his dreams, well nightmares really, although I am not sure how it happened. If – if..” her voice shivered “if I hadn’t managed to somehow block all use of the incoming sensations without the ability to unlock them, I – I would have….” She just couldn’t finish the sentence.
“You would have felt his death.” Kazihiro’s tone was matter-of-fact, but the intensity in his eyes spoke of his interest. “I don’t really know much about either phenomenon. Just what I’ve read casually over the years.” He began to recite as if he was reading from a book, “Empathy. The ability to sense another being’s feelings, intentions and instinctual responses.
Some species are born with the ability, whereas in others it is seen as an aberration. …uh, no offence Doctor… Has been cataloged in several varieties – empathic with all, empathic with only the members of one’s own race, empathic with only certain individuals, usually after a long bonding period. Certainly I have no personal experience. In fact, I’m probably the most non-empathic person you’ve ever met. People tend to baffle me.” he said with a smile. Emma was not sure why she was confiding in Kazihiro

Daya had just told Jeff about the location of the equipment itself.
"buried in our electronics. ..." Jeff muttered. "Pudlo to Hope."
"Hope here."
"Lt, I need you to check all the transporter buffers- the equipment is in there. I'm up with the little bit that makes it work, So I'll need you to check the acual trasporter modifacations out for me."
"understood."
Jeff turned to the matter at hand. "What systems do we have in there?"
"it's hooked up to life support, the warp and impluse drive controls, the communications controls and the lifeboat launching systems.
"any way we could switch them to an alternate circut?"
"He's got one ont the other circut as well. all the backups are tapped. I don't see how we can do this..." Gregor shutting down.
"Relax. Sombody scan for it's power tolerance."
"What do you mean?"
"How much power can it take before it fries?"
"More then the power distrabution. it can take roughly three times as much as we can channel through hose systems, if that's what you're thinking."
"No it wasn't. Channel power through all of those systems, and the backups."
"Do we have that kind of power?"
"Easaly."
OOC: after this and Hopes work, we'll only have to worry about the three warbirds waiting for us.

Kristin's POV
"Pudlo to Hope."
"Hope here."
"Lt, I need you to check all the transporter buffers- the equipment is in there. I'm up with the little bit that makes it work, So I'll need you to check the actual transporter modifications out for me."
"Understood," Hope said standing up from the transporter pad. This was not what he wanted to hear, but she would have to fix the new problem.
=^=All transporters teams report transporter control immediately=^=
Kristin already knew that this purge of the systems would be a total team effort. The process of converting the body being into billions of kiloquads of data, and zipping through subspace had no margins of error and she would keep it that way.
"Commander what can we do?" the current transporter chief asked.
"I need you to check all the equipment in all five transporter rooms," Kristin said knowing that just that alone could take days.
"Yes Commander," CPO Williams said as he headed towards another transporter room.
"Chief Williams I will send Charlie shift to help you out," Kristin said as she uncovered the transporter pad and shut the main transporter. She could not allow for what ever was in the buffers to travel to the rest of the ship. Kristin was not sure what the saboteur's intentions were, but she didn't want to know.
"Still how in the world did this person come into my systems, If anyone who is not supposed is here I would know about it," Kristin said.
"Commander are you asking me a question?" the crewman still with her asked.
"No sorry crewman just thinking out loud," Kristin said as she scanned the modifications that she had made the previous day. All things looked normal, but that didn't mean much, she of course could of missed some crucial.
"Crewman run a Level 9 Diagnostic on the transporter modifications."
"Yes ma'am." Kristin was not about to dismantle weeks of hard work by her team on the chance that something was wrong, she would wait until the diagnostic was complete and then act.
Hours Later
In the last couple of hours her team had done magnificent work. They had all reported back to duty without complaint and they quickly understood the importance of what they were going to be doing for the next couple of hours. They had already finished Transporters Room 5, 6, and were now working on transporter room 4, and 3.
All Kristin was waiting for was her diagnostic, so for the time being she started scanning her transporter room. She first did a complete work up on the transporter console and then moved to the buffers, and even to the replicator.
"Commander your diagnostic is complete," the crewman reported as he stopped the beeping sound that was coming from his console. Kristin quickly stopped what she was doing and went over and read it and just liked she had thought all along there was nothing wrong with the modifications. In fact the modifications had an even greater effect on the transporters than she first thought.
"So where is the problem?" the crewman asked.
=^=Hope to Pudlo, correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't Dr. Lorenz a terraforming genius=^=
=^=No Commander Hope you are correct, why do you ask? =^=
=^=Tell you in a bit=^=
The idea had hit her like lightning and she cursed herself for not thinking of it sooner. If someone experienced in terraforming they would not want their technology to be stopped or detected, especially if it they didn't want anyone to know.
Kristin took her tricorder and walked towards the molecular imaging scanner and after a couple of seconds of scanning it the tricorder picked it up. The imaging scanner which tells the biofilter to remove unwanted or dangerous molecules had been tampered. In fact every time that the transporters were used it would cause a cascading effect on the other systems until it overloaded the entire transporter network on the ship.
Luckily for her the programmer didn't expect anyone to find it and so the problem was easy to fix. So Kristin took her transporter scrambler and deactivated the extra program. After deactivating it she purged it from the systems.
=^=Hope to Bridge and Engineering=^=
=^=Go ahead transporter room 1=^=
=^=The transporters are now in full working order, you will be receiving my report within the hour =^=

Jeff had a team in place to flush power through. They were from the Charlie shift, as everybody else was pretty tired. jeff was the only one from the begining still on duty- thanks to some strong coffee.
"Move those cables into positon." jeff ordered. The cables were the most powerful things you could find- they could channel the power of the entire warp corre individually. All power except a bare minimum to keep the ship going would be flushed into these circuts. They were tapping power directly off of the core feeds.
"alright, hook them up to the circuts, put the power flow in on all cords."
everything was soon in place.Ther was just one panel of blulkhead on, the one the device was behind.
"fire in the hole." A high piched whining was heard, and crakling. suddenly, the bulkhead shot of and slammed against the other wall with a bang at the same time a loud bang.
"disengage."
Jeff looked the destroyed part over. It realy was a pity- that was a clever peice of equipment.

Scene: Matt's quarters, Deck 5, USS JEFFERSON
Matt had never ever fallen asleep watching movies, but there was always a first time for everything. Caleb unfortunately didn't seem to like Kaltoch, which Matt should of expected. So after the unsuccessful try at the Vulcan game, both of them watched some old 21st century movies. At least he likes movies Matt thought as he activated the Lord of the Rings. It was a really long movie, but one of Matt's favorites, so when he realized that he had fallen asleep he knew that he must of been more tired than he thought.
Caleb was still watching the movie oblivious to the fact that Matt had been asleep. Matt was about to say something, but before he could a message came for him.
"Hey Caleb I got to go," Matt said getting up from the couch," and please at least start on your homework."
"I will," Caleb responded not taking his eyes off the screen. Matt just smiled and hurried off to the bridge.
------------------------ Scene: Bridge, Deck 1, USS JEFFERSON
It seemed as though Commander Matthews had called for everyone since the turbolift was filled with Lt. Hunter, Pudlo, Commander Johnson, and himself. None of them knew why they had been called to bridge so all they could do was guess.
Once they entered the bridge Matt saw that RA Loskene and Commander Matthews.
"Well good most of you are here so I will start," Matthews began.
"Sir, sorry to interrupt, but shouldn't Ambassador Tedak be here?" Matt asked.
"RA Loskene will take care of that," Matthews responded. Matt didn't agree with the decision, but he kept his mouth shut and listened. Yet he couldn't help but smile as Tedak entered the bridge.
<Tag Tedak>
"We have just gotten reports from Assailant and we have a big problem," Matthews said," there are an unconfirmed number of Romulan warbirds surrounding Stubb's World."
"Are they members of the Romulan factions that RA Loskene was talking about?" Matt asked.
"We don't know, but my guess is that they are," Matthews responded.
"So what is our plan of action?" Matt asked of RA Loskene.
<Tag everyone>
OFF: Hope that your finger heals well RA Loskene, and guys when it effects everyone lets include everyone.

"What will the admiral take care of commander?" Tedak asked, sounding none too kindly. He was starting to get a little fed up with constantly being followed around by two security guards, who obviously were not following him for his own protection. He had also caught one at checking something he had entered into the computer, but which had only turned out to be a letter to his wife, and keying in some of his favourite dishes.
He strode around the consoles to come face to face with the standing officers. "I emphasize again that if you wish me to do any negotiating, you must not leave me out of discussions. I will file a complaint with Admiral Lin if this persists." So far there had been only two people forthcoming with him, and somewhat honest. If Tedak despised something, it was dishonesty.

Rayna stood in the middle of sickbay, overseeing the storage and archiving of the medications that had been taken aboard when the Jefferson had left Assaillant. Sighing at the mess she started picking up the boxes with vials, silently cursing the crewmember who had dropped them and caused all the vials to scatter around to every possible direction.
"As if I don't have enough to do," she muttered, as she retrieved one of the boxes and started putting the vials in. When she got up to put the full box away, the Romulan nurse noticed a young woman she hadn't seen before. The woman was wearing a teal uniform and a black pip on her collar. Rayna could see that this woman was a medic by the way she carried herself.
"Excuse me," Rayna called, "I don't think I've seen you around before. Are you T'Val's replacement? With T'Val ill, it makes sense Starfleet sent a replacement, who knows when she'll be back."

Billi had docked aboard the USS Jefferson, her new home, picked up her duffel and stepped from the Merryweather, her shuttle. It had been a last minute gift from her father. She was glad they would allow her to have it on board the ship, it was part of who she was, having helped rebuild it from a hollowed out shell. After securing the shuttle she left the bay in search of the CO, an Admiral Loskene, according to the PADD in her hand.
She didn’t take long being introduced around to the rest of the bridge crew, noting the young man she’d spoken to regarding the storing of her shuttle with a nod.
Billi got settled and immediately went to work. She was put to work making sure sickbay was stocked and ready for action, whatever came their way. Her job was to assist Healer T’Val.
She also had the current mission to think about, the search for a Doctor Lorenz. She didn’t have much information, hadn’t been given much to go on, yet anyway.
The ship was only 10 hours out and she had been put in charge of sickbay, replacing Healer T'Val who had apparently overdosed on sleeping pills and that gave her something more to think about, learning where things were in sickbay, learning the names of those who she would be working with.
She was only working on her first full shift and already was busy, but she had no reason to complain. Work was what she liked, it helped her focus and keep a clear head when doing her job. When she grew bored, that was when people had reason to worry.
Billi had just left the CMOs office and found herself being called to aid a young romulan woman. There appeared to be vials rolling about on the floor, apparently spilled by some careless medic.
"Excuse me," Rayna called, "I don't think I've seen you around before. Are you T'Val's replacement? With T'Val ill, it makes sense Starfleet sent a replacement, who knows when she'll be back."
Billi smiled and knelt next to the young woman, “Yes, I’m replacing her. I’ve been busy getting caught up on things and hadn’t been out here much.” she went on to explain. She helped the woman pick up the remainder of the vials, placing them once again in the crate.
“Let’s get this stuff put away and see about making sickbay look more like it should rather than a cargo bay?” she smiled as she held out her hand to Rayna after straightening up.

"That would help," Rayna said, then made a face. "Doctor Fox left sickbay hours ago, and didn't even bother to help me clear this away." She then covertly motioned towards a small group of nurses who stood sniggering a couple of paces away. "And that good-for-nothing lot over there just keeps laughing at me, and none will lift a finger to help me."
Then she smiled and winked at the newcomer. "But I'll tell you this, the patients take a better liking to me, than to that silly lot."
Once the extra's were cleared away Rayna took a better look at the doctor. "Have you found your quarters yet?" she then asked, "or met the admiral? He's a really nice guy I'll tell you, and don't let appearances deceive you; he isn't human!" She beckoned the doctor. "Come, I'll take you up to the bridge and introduce you. I'm due for a break anyway."

"Have you found your quarters yet?" Rayna asked, "or met the admiral? He's a really nice guy I'll tell you, and don't let appearances deceive you; he isn't human!"
Billi assisted the other girl to her feet. “I’m Acting Ensign Billi Eviston, taking over as CMO from what I have been told." She said in response to Raynas questions.
"Come, I'll take you up to the bridge and introduce you. I'm due for a break anyway." Rayna continued.
Billi motioned to one of the other medics. “If anything happens that needs my attention, I’ll be on the bridge.”
“Lead the way.” as she followed Rayna out of sickbay.”

“Lead the way.” as she followed Rayna out of sickbay.” Rayna smiled and preceded the new CMO to the bridge, which was as usual buzzing with activity. She offered a traditional salute to the diplomat who was presently talking to the CO and a group of officers. "Excuse me, admiral," Rayna interrupted, "but we seem to have a stowaway." Yet when she said it she grinned. "Doctor Eviston had arrived just prior to departure and has not yet had a chance to get introduced. Doctor Eviston, this is the Admiral I just told you about." She grinned again then whispered at her, so that the rest would not hear "Toldya he's cute." She grinned again, rather innocently as she darted back into the turbolift. Tedak frowned a little at the girlish behaviour of the Romulan subcommander, but he'd heard earlier that she was seeing someone from the engineering department. Thus her oddly behaviour was somewhat excusable. <resp?> ooc: sorry didn't think to change accounts.....gotta go anyways...am back tuesday. Happy holidays everyone
