"Well, it beats being on the bridge right now, and unless you want them knowing you aren't alone in here, you might want to lower your voice," she said shaking her head and chuckling at the same time. She noticed the padd he was working on, and picked it up to read its contents to find it was blank.
"Yes, I see that you are working, this must have taken you a good ten minutes," Arya said teasing him as she placed the padd back down. She thought about sitting down next to him, but realized she would rather sit somewhere else. Arya sat down on his lap and put her head on his chest.
"Now lets see what we can come up with, the guy on the screen wasn't very helpful, and we have lost contact with our away teams on the planet. Could it be some kind of concentration in the atmosphere that keeps us from our crew?" She asked vaguely aware of what she was talking about.

"Well, it beats being on the bridge right now, and unless you want them knowing you aren't alone in here, you might want to lower your voice,"
Steve rolled his eyes, and inclined his head to indicate that he understood her point. He then glanced at his padd.
"Yes, I see that you are working, this must have taken you a good ten minutes,"
"Hey, this is some of my greatest work!" He replied, laughing. "You should see what I can come up with in double the time."
As Arya sat down on his lap, he put his arms around her to make sure she wasn't going to fall off, and of course, to hold her close.
"Now lets see what we can come up with, the guy on the screen wasn't very helpful, and we have lost contact with our away teams on the planet. Could it be some kind of concentration in the atmosphere that keeps us from our crew?"
Steve began stroking Arya's hair as he replied. "Maybe." He started, "But that doesnt explain why we can now see and communicate with the colony when it wasnt there when we first arrived. It's as if the colony and the Away Team have shifted places. Or even perhaps WE are the ones who have switched. Whatever it is, I am certain that the leaders of, if not all of the colonists know about it and had something to do with it."

OOC: JP with Steve.
IC:
Arya looked up at him and smiled. She moved her head from his chest and pulled him down into a kiss.
Steve carried on with the kiss, but slowly broke off. Something wasn't right, he didnt seem himself. Arya noticed something was going on. She looked up at him, and wondered why he pulled away like that.
"Did I do something wrong?" She said not sure what was going on. Arya had never seen him like this.
Steve looked at Arya. "No, no. It isnt you. Its just this damn headache, and the situation the ship is in. Cant concentrate too well. Im sorry, it wasn't you....ok?" He replied, shaking his head.
"Well what can I do to help you feel a little bit better, that headache isn't a good thing," she said putting her head on his shoulder looking up at him. She wasn't sure what was going on with the away team, and she didn't have an ideas to offer up at this time.
Steve just let Arya rest where she was for a few moments before replying. "I think I just need to calm my thoughts for a bit. But how can I when we are still missing our Away Team? As to what you can do.....just dont leave me."
"I am not going anywhere anytime soon. I think what you need is to relax, and I think I know just how to help there," she said, and moved from his lap going behind him. She put her hands on his shoulders and started to massage them.
Steve began to smile, but of course, he couldnt be seen. "Well, thats a relief." He started, "Both that you arent going anywhere, and what you are doing." He began to loosen up, and closed his eyes.
"How about we sort this mission out, and then spend as much time as we can with each other? Of course, not forgetting the times like now too." Arya continued to rub moving her hands to his chest instead of his shoulders. Her smile grew from ear to ear.
"Or we could stay here." Steve replied to himself as Arya carried on rubbing her hands all over him. He let out a little laugh. "You know, the Captain could very easily come in here and catch us."
"Yes, anyone could access this room, but we can't leave the bridge right now, or at least you can't. If you could we wouldn't be in here, now would we? How are you feeling now though?" She said hoping he was feeling better.
"Yes, I know." He replied, and took a deep breath. "I'm actually feeling a lot better. Still got pain in my head, but I am managing to cast that aside for now." She leaned forward a little putting her mouth near his ear.
Arya moved back a second later, "Well?"

OOC: This post if for my NPC down on the planet only. Thanks.
IC:
Rolan was tired of all of this, and wondered what might happened to her if she fell asleep. She was really tired, but she dared not close her eyes no matter what.
One of the beasts came and grabbed the ropes at her feet starting to drag her off. Rolan wished she could scream, fight, or something other than just be dragged off. For once she felt completely useless, and she didn't like the feeling.
A little while later Rolan found herself back on the beach, and she wondered what was going on. Two of the creatures were fighting, and the third joined in immediately dumping her in the sand. ~What is going on with them, and how do I get myself out of being their lunch?~ She thought completely scared.
Rolan watched as well as she could, and became frightened when one of them picked her up and started to swing her around. The creature threw her toward the ocean, and she closed her eyes expecting to be very wet very soon.
Suddenly she felt a funny feeling in her gut, and she knew what was going on. Her eyes widened in complete surprised as she was beamed up. One minute she was looking at the ocean, and the next she was staring at her transporter chief. He came over to help untie her.

The time had passed for a long time now, and Zoarial was sick of waiting for the rest of the team to come. He knew that starfleet protocol dictated that he should have began the search for the others a couple of hours ago, but he still had hope that nothing bad had happened and the security team was simply lost.
Leaving their post wouldn't help much and after 4 hours after the rendezvous-time, Zoarial rounded up everyone and told them that they were packing their bags and start a search for the missing team.
A faint protest came from the engineer Benson, but since this environment proved hostile, it wouldn't be wise to split up. They all headed in the direction that the missing away-team had gone and noticed paw-like footprints in the mud. Without hesitation Zoarial ordered everyone to follow the tracks, and after a couple of hours they saw smoke rising above the trees. Judging the smell they were close to a beach or anything of the sort.
Some curiously looking animals were gathered around a bonfire, with crewmember Rolan tied to a pole as if he was going to be sacrified. Zoarial saw that they were outnumbered, but that the beasts only had primitive weapons, while they were armed with phasers which were, still, unoperational.
As if called away, the primitive beings left the bonfire, and Rolan. Carefull not to make any sudden noise Zoarial stood up to untie the captive.
"E'liana" he said, "Should anything go wrong, and those animals be alerted, hold them under fire."
<<E'Liana>>
"I know," Zoarial said smiling, "but they don't!"
As silent as a klingon could, Zoarial sneaked towards Rolan, he could see that the prisoner was badly bruised, probably by rough handling. All of a sudden a faint sound could be heard, which luckily came out of the mouth of Rolan.
"It's good to be back on the Raven." he mumbled, and continued on rattling as if he had just been beamed aboard. Zoarial saw that his eyes were closed, and that he was probably in somewhat of a trance, maybe even a shock. He quickly untied Rolan and dragged him back to the bushes.
"E'Liana, could you tend his wounds? I would like to hear his story"
<<E'Liana>>
OOC: Sorry Arya to have spoiled your dream, but I have suddenly come up with a nice plot

After the brief conversation with the planet, mc7 was summoned to the Bridge. Smith explained the situation to him, and as he did so the admiral just sat in his command chair, and absorbed it all.
OK commander, thank you for bringing me up to speed. I think it's about time that we started to show the colony that we were sent here for a purpose, and we intend to carry it out. Is there any word on the missing away team yet?
Looking around to the Ops officer for an answer, he was met with a shaking head accompanied by a no Sir answer. While the exchange was happening mc7 noticed that Steve left the Bridge and went into the breifing room.
Tactical, what are the colony's defense like?
the admiral asked, surprising many people on the Bridge.
They have some basic sheilding, enough to deflect metors and the like, but nothing substantial. Their defences are no match for the Raven's weapons.
Came the reply from the Lt Nolan, the duty tactical officer.
Ok. Hail the colony, and we're not taking no for an answer.
A few moments passed, and with each one the tension on the Bridge mounted. Then the face of the colony leader appeared on the main viewscreen to the front of the Bridge.
I am Vice Admiral Mc7_of_9, commander of the Federation Starship Raven. We've encountered some serious anomalys and just as we lost touch with some of our people on the planet your colony, which according to our sensors wasn't there, suddenly appeared to us. Can you offer us any explanation of what has happened?
You Federation types. Your all the same! I've got nothing to say to you.
And with that, the screen went blank.
Someone needs to learn some manners I think. Tactical, please disable the sheild around the colony, and then transport the man that I was just speaking with aboard to my ready room please. Commander Smith, Counsellor, please join me in my ready room.

Benson ran toward the other engineers at a frantic pace. His feet felt heavy, his head started to spin. Breath, Benson thought to himself, trying to gain control of his now uncontrollably frightened body. Stopping infront of the group Benson gasp for air while the other engineers looked on with confused expressions on their faces.
"Chet, are you ok?" One of them asked.
Benson didn't answer, his mind was racing, his head was spinning, and more than anything else he needed to sit down. Reaching out with shaking hands Benson picked up a tricorder and began to make his way back to the wooded area.
"Lieutenant," A Commander said in a stern voice. Benson turned back around to face the officer who has stopped him in his tracks, "What's the matter Lieutenant?"
Gasping for breath Benson replied, "I don't know....I don't know."
"I think you better take a breather." The Commander suggested as he walked toward Benson.
"I'm OK," Benson said standing straight up to prove to the Commander that indeed he was alright, "I just needed a second to catch my breath."
Before the Commander could say another word Benson had turned around and began walking back to the tree line. His eyes darted back and forth looking for more ghostly figures. Seeing nothing Benson opened the tricorder and began to scan the area for anything that might appear out of place.
Slowly and methodically he scanned the entire area where he had spotted the figures and heard the voices. Just behind him he head the sounds of cracking and popping tree branches. Benson froze again, fearing it was the ghostly figures come back. As he slowly turned around he came face to face with the engineering commander he had just spoken to.
"What are you doing Lieutenant? We are supposed to be trying to set up a distress signal."
"I needed to check something sir." Benson replied.
"What did you need to check?"
"I saw figures out here earlier..." Benson said holding the tricorder out in front of him toward the Commander.
"Figures?"
"Yes sir," Benson said turning the tricorder to his left.
"What did you find?"
Benson took a deep breath before proceeding, "I found evidence of high temporal disruptions in this area."
"What does that have to do with the missing colony or anything else with our mission?"
"I don't know yet," Benson replied taking a minute to think things over, "But it might have answer why we have found parts of the Raven on the planet's surface."
The Commander exhaled loudly, then turned to face the group of interested engineers across the way. At a glace they appeared to have not made any new progress in the distress signal. The Commander knew of Benson's quirks and decided to let the unorthodox man indulge his curiosities.
"Alright Benson...we aren't making much headway with the distress signal. Finish up your scans and report back to me if you find anything worth while."
Benson's eyes shot wide open, he was surprised they Commander would let him continue his investigation, "Thank you sir."
Shaking his head the Commander slowly walked back toward the other engineers, taking a few seconds to look over his shoulder as Benson got back to scanning the wooded area.

OOC: i thought that the tricorders didn't work on the planet, based on the fact that the weapons didn't and that the tricorders didn't work when Zoarial and I used them earlier...
IC:
E’Liana followed the away (and now a rescue) team, wondering how they had managed to get themselves into this mess. She suppressed a cry of alarm as she saw the young ensign tied up like some sort of sacrifice and saw that Zoarial seemed to be making a plan.
"E'liana" he said, "Should anything go wrong, and those animals be alerted, hold them under fire."
“Zoairal” She said, patiently. “We have no weapons. Our phasers would do more damage if we threw them”
"I know," Zoarial said smiling, "but they don't!"
E’Liana found herself rolling her eyes once again at the man in front of her, who was quite unlike the average Klingon. As she could see by his attempt to…sneak?…towards Ensign Rolan. The sight of a man over six feet tall and however-many wide with cranial ridges attempting to be subtle was enough to try anyone’s patience. She sighed.
From her viewpoint, she had limited hearing, but she thought she could hear the deranged Ensign speak. "It's good to be back on the Raven." Rolan mumbled. From what she could see, he appeared to be in shock. ~Not surprising considering that he’s been tied up by bears!~ She thought to herself. She watched as Zoarial quickly untied Rolan and dragged him back to the bushes.
"E'Liana, could you tend his wounds? I would like to hear his story" He said, depositing her new patient beside her.
She nodded, not saying anything, and looked at her patient. She sae that most of the wounds were superficial and should be easy to heal. It was the mental suffering that she was worried about. She called out for someone to bring the water to her, and whilst she was waiting, she opened her medkit and took out the scanner to check for any other injuries. Sadly, like the rest of their equipment, it wouldn’t work. She threw it to the ground in frustration.
“Looks like I’ll have to do this the old fashioned way.” She said to no one in particular.
She looked at the young ensign and saw that his eyes were dilated. ~Nothing too serious, but I don’t want to risk it in this sunlight~ Carefully, she and Zoarial moved him more by the trees.
“His wounds, from what I can tell” She said, prodding him here and there. “Seem to be rather light. Nothing too serious at all, it’s just the shock.” E’Liana lifted up Ensign Rolan’s head and gently gave him some water.
“My medical equipment is useless here, and we don’t have anything more…primitive…so I guess I’ll have to improvise.” She used some of the water to clean the wounds on the wrists from the rope, which were still bleeding. She grimaced and she tore off part of her trouser leg to wrap around the wounds. ~I hope it doesn’t get cold here at night~
“I could use some brandy” She said to Zoarial. At his puzzled look, she continued. “It’s an alcoholic beverage from earth - and no, not for me! It used to be used to ‘restore’ people, give them a bit of a kick as it were. As it is, we don’t have much time. I suggest we somehow make a stretcher and carry the poor guy with us and let him sleep it all off. He should be okay by the morning.”
<TAG Zoarial>
~*~
In the time that it had taken for the Raven to re-establish contact with the colony, Nurse Packer had decided to go to her next shift early for the sake of the ever-nervous Jaren Paal. When she arrived in Sickbay she was surprised to say the least; it was clean and tidy, and there were currently no patients that she could see. Peering through the glass into the office, she saw the young Bajoran looking intently at the computer screen.
“Hello” She said, smiling. “How was your first shift?”
He shifted uncomfortably in his seat and casually closed the monitor. “Yes, it went quite well, thank you. I enjoyed it, although it’s of a rather slow pace.”
She grinned and sat down in the seat opposite him. “Yes, it can be. I’ll show you some of our research now if you like? So that you can assist with it the next time you get bored…”
He smiled. “That would be nice, but until then I think we should focus on our dear Doctor.”
Joy looked shocked. “They’re not back yet?”
“Nope, and we don’t seem to be able to get them back.” He said, watching her reaction. At her surprise, he attempted to explain the situation as best he could.
“Well, we’ll soon see about that.” With that, Joy got up suddenly and walked towards the door.
“Where are you going?” Paal called out.
“To see the Admiral.” And with that, she left for the Bridge.

After entering the ready room the admiral took seat behind his desk, thinking to himself that it was the best place to position show as little body language as possible, and it also had the added bonus of being an intimidation position, he hoped, for his 'guest'. A moment after he entered, there was a chirp indicating that there was someone waiting on the other side of the door.
Come,
And a second later the doors parted and the first officer and counselor walked into the room. In the next few moments mc7 filled them in on what had happened during the last conversation with the colony leader, and his order to eliminate the colony's sheilds and beam the leader to the ready room.
Sir, permission to speak freely?
The fact that Steve had just asked that took mc7 by surprise, but he kept his face impassive as he replied,
Go ahead.
We'll Sir, do you really think that attacking the colony was the best thing to do? After all, we may need their help in getting this whole mess sorted out.
Just as the commanding officer opened his mouth to reply the air in the ready room began to tingle slightly, and the familiar hum of the transporter started to sound, as a figure began to materialize in the center of the room.

Meanwhile on the planet, there was also some activety, but not the one that Zoarial liked. A rush could be heard through the bushes, and some commotion had started on near the bonfire nowthat the beastmen had returned and found, or rather... didn't find, their hostage released.
A series of unidentifiable remarks were thrown across in the group, after which they decided to track the footprints that Zoarial had left behind. The team could safely avoid the searching beastmen because they were able to see their advisaries and not the other way around. However, another scouting group of beastmen caught them in the back, alerting the rest of their kind.
Within minutes both parties were standing on the beach with Zoarial ordering to raise the weapons in defence. However, the beasts didn't seem frightened at all. "Either they have never encountered such weapons, or they know that we can't use them" Zoarial whispered to E'Liana, but without him wanting it, loud enough for everyone within 20 yards to hear it, including the beastmen.
"Of Kours." One of them said, in a kind of language that strongly resembled the common language used by starfleet.
"What," Zoarial said surprised, "Do you understand us?"
"Wai na?" The same bear-like person, who upon close examination appeared to be some kind of chief, said "Do na yoo remembur da wee wur wans yor eequaals?"
"Remember?" Zoarial replied, "I don't remember to have ever seen you before."
"Yoo? Ze same wans zat turned as intoo thees horreeble creeturs?" a swift response came. "End lower yor wepons. Yoo know zat zey ar useless."
The situation became less and less understandable now that these creatures claimed that they were not strangers to the away-team.
"E'Liana, can you recall any of these beings?" Zoarial asked.

-----Before entering the Ready Room-----
Steve still had Arya sitting in his lap, cuddling him tightly with a data padd in operation on the desk of the briefing room. He a lot calmer than he was when he entered the room, although not much could be said for the lack of information he had found out thus far. He looked up, and smiled.
"Im suprised no-one has contacted me yet...there cant be much going on." He said out loud, not really expecting an answer
=/\=Commander Smith, Counsellor, please join me in my ready room.=/\=
"Damn.....why do I have to open my big mouth all the time?"
=/\= On my way sir. =/\= He replied after tapping his commbadge.
Steve looked up to Arya. "I guess this means we have been cut short for now." He said as Arya slowly got off his lap.
"I am going to go out the way I came in....you can either come with me, or take the trip you took last time." He said to her, with a smile. "What do you think? Its up to you."
He gave her a long, soft kiss on the lips, and headed towards the door.
-----After Entering Ready Room-----
As the conversation between Steve and Mc7 unfolded, someone suddenly transported into the Ready Room.
As soon as he materialised, Steve recognised him to be the leader of the colony. The leader quickly turned to each person in the room with a look of anger and suprise on his face.
"What is the meaning of this? You have no right to take me away from the planet. I demand you return me back to my colony, or I assure you, you WILL regret it." The colony leader said, clearly not very happy.

A few seconds after materializing what had happened dawned on him.
What is the meaning of this? You have no right to take me away from the planet. I demand you return me back to my colony, or I assure you, you WILL regret it.
Mc7 let the room remain silent for a moment after the man had made his threat, and then broke the silence and surprised everyone in the room.
Can I get you a drink?
The colony leader looked at him with a very puzzled expression, unsure whether he was joking or not. Sensing this, mc7 stood and went over to the replicator on the left right hand wall of the ready room and ordered some english breakfast tea. After the replicator whirred and the steaming cup appeared, he looked over to his two officers, giving them an inquiring look.
Steven shook his head and Arya asked for a calmarian soother, which mc7 then ordered and passed over to her. Glancing over to the colony leader again, mc7 repeated his question. A little hesitantly, he replied,
I'll have the same as you, please.
Once the third cup appeared on the replicator pad the admiral handed it over to the man, who was now seated in the chair in front of mc7's desk. The man was starting to thaw, mc7 thought to himself, after noticing that when he asked for a drink he said please. It may mean nothing, though it may mean that this could go a lot better than I expected, he finished the thought.
Firstly, apologies for the way this meeting started, but to be fair, you weren't going to talk to us over the comm channel, so this was the only option we had. It seems as if we've somehow shifted into another dimension, as it looks to be the case with your colony as well. Was this something that was done intentionally by you, or are you in a similar situation to us?
Why should I trust you? Your part of the Federation, all you do is serve your own interests, and then to hell with the the rest of us. As soon as you get back to our dimension you'll head straight for the nearest star base and forget all about us.
Looking to his officers for support, Arya was the next to speak,
That's not true, if it were we wouldn't have come looking for you in the first place, and wouldn't have ended up in this situation. We came because no one had heard from the colony in a long time, and we wanted to check everything was ok. It was your colony's choice to leave the Federation, Adan that's something we respect, but remember, it can also be your colony's choice to rejoin the Federation.
That thought hung in the air for a few moments, with the colony leader obviously having a debate with himself over what had just been said.

Steve had been unusually quiet during the proceedings. He was partly regretting his decision to decline the admiral's offer of a drink because it now made him stand out in that respect.
Finally, he perked up."We want to get out of this mess just as much as what you do. All we ask is that if you know what happened, or have any information at all, that you could share it with us. That way, we could help work on a solution and get us all out of here a lot quicker."
"That may be true, but how do I know that it wasnt you that put us in this mess in the first place? This may be all part of your plan." The man took a few sips of his drink.
Steve smiled, despite his slight fustration. "I can assure you, that is not the case. What happened here has had nothing to do with us. So, what do you say? Will you work with us, and help us?" Steve asked the final question, sensing that the man was feeling a bit more at ease than he had ever seen him. Perhaps that may finally be getting somewhere.

BACKPOST......
Arya was enjoying the time with the commander, and had even returned to his lap hoping to come up with an answer to all of this. Suddenly they were summoned.
"Yeah, I guess we have to go now," she said, and then found his lips against hers. Her knees felt like Jell-o.
After he left, Arya went out the way she came, and decided to enter in late hoping to make it look like she had been somewhere other than on a part of the bridge.
NOW....
She found them in the middle of an interrogation. Arya sat down on the couch to watch this play out, not sure of what to say or do. She decided it was best to take mental notes on their guest's behavior.
Arya was growing a bit bored with all this, and took out her padd thinking of something.
Steve, I was thinking about us and our future. I like where it is going, and realize that I am ready for the next step. I think that next step is our union. Are you ready? She wrote paying half of her attention to the interrogation. Arya was startled by something and accidentally sent the message to him. She groaned inwardly at not being able to revise that.

Thankfully, the away team were able to see their opponents from where they were so they were not at a disadvantage. Unfortunately, the did not account for there being more than one group of the beastmen. This ‘scouting group’ of beastmen caught them in the back, alerting the rest of their group.
Before E’Liana could fully understand what was going on, they were all on the beach and Zoarial was telling them to raise the weapons that didn’t work. This didn’t seem to phase them at all. E’Liana was worried.
"Either they have never encountered such weapons, or they know that we can't use them" Zoarial whispered to E'Liana, but without him wanting it, loud enough for everyone within 20 yards to hear it, including the beastmen.
E’Liana was about to respond, hopefully quieter than the Klingon but before she could, she was interrupted by one of the beastmen.
"Of Kours." One of them said, and for a moment, E’Liana thought they were speaking the Federation standard. The translators weren’t working, so what was the possibility that they would meet a supposedly non-space faring race that spoke like them.
Unfortunately, she did not. There was an eerie resemblance that she couldn’t quite place but decided to approach them carefully. Unable to scan them, she could only use her eyes which were getting more and more tired as they carried on.
As she moved forward, Zoarial seemed to start suddenly, as if to hold her back, but she shook her head and moved towards the group. The more she looked at them, the more she realised that they weren’t bears at all. They looked…feral…wild.
“Zoarial.” She said, looking at their supposed ‘chief’ somewhat apprehensively. “He’s human…they’re the crew!”

"Impossible" Zoarial stated. Closing the case. "They simply can't be our crew. How would they have survived the crash?" he asked, knowing that there were countless possibilities but he didn't want to face the facts. "Why don't we ask them? They seem to understand everything we say." he continued and didn't see why E'Liana would oppose to that... which she didn't.
"Are you the former crew of the USS Raven?" Zoarial asked, while talking slowly.
"Wee ar not reetarts mister, yoo ken speek et a normal pace. Ent no, wee ar not from te You Es Es Reven zat yoo just mentiont." the chief said.
Zoarial wanted to turn to E'Liana and rub it in, but decided that it was better not to. "But from which ship are you then?" Zoarial asked realising that the... persons... wouldn't believe that he really didn't know.
"Ze same es yoo! Ent beekos yoo dinna wunt us too improof our teknology yoo eksailed us ent turned us intoo thees horreeble kreeturs by forsing us too eet ze jello berrees." The chief said, becoming enraged.
*Oh no!* Zoarial thought. "E'Liana... what colour were the berries that we just ate in lare quantities?"
<<E'Liana>>
The beasts grinned and Zoarial's hope of getting off the planet just faded away now that he realised that they were soon to transform into this beings aswell.
"Eehrm, isn't there any way to prevent or reverse this transformation?" Zoarial asked the Chief.
"Wee hef been traing too figur zet out for kwait sum taim now" the response came. "Ent wee belief ze anser lais wis ze foot yoo eet in yoor daimension. Zerfor wee will hef to cut yoo open ent faind ze effectif foot."
Suddenly all the beasts started to approach the team and take out several ropes to tie everyone down and prepare them for the surgery. But ensign Haywood didn't want to die like this and shouted out of the top of his lungs "STOP!"
All beasts stopped dead but still held a firm grip on the Raven's crew.
"Why..." Rob started, breathing rather heavily because of his struggle to get free. "Would we want to eat those berries if... if we knew what they did?"
"Hee dos make a point zer tsjeef" one of the bears carefully said.
"SAILUNS!" The chief yelled. "Ai will make zet out maiself! Let go of zem... NOW"
The team huddled up together again, with Zoarial silently thanking Rob for that good thinking.
"Ai gess zet yoo do na want too turn intoo kreeturs laik us," The chief said. "So considder yorself our prisonurs ent help us faind a kjur. If yoo do not wish too coopurate wee will faind the cure OUR wai! Is zet cleer?"
Zoarial nodded, knowing that they weren't in a position to negotiate. "Although I can't be of much help here, I'm a simple navigator. However..." he smiled slyly. "E'Liana is the Chief Medical officer onboard of the Raven, and she'll surely be able to help you."
"Zet is fain! No... zet is koot!" The chief said, "And since yoo ar not of much use too us, you ken go..."
"No I think I will stay with..." Zoarial said, but was interrupted.
"Let mee finish!" The chief said in a loud tone. "Yoo ken go get us som new woot for ze fair."
*Great* Zoarial thought and montioned two of his security-team to come with him.

During the conversation mc7 noticed that Arya was typing into her PADD, assuming she was taking notes of the conversation to review afterwords. However a moment later he seen that her facial expression changed slightly for a second, as if she had dome something that she hadn't intended to. A few seconds later there was a soft beep from Steve's PADD, indicating that he had a new message. I wonder what the Counselor didn't mean to send to the Commander then, he thought to himself.
So then sir, do you think that there is a way we can work together to try to resolve the current predicament we're both in?
Just as the man opened his mouth to reply there was a call from the Bridge.
Captain, we're detecting some strange emissions coming from the planet. Could you come to the Bridge please.
As soon as the comm channel was closed mc7 looked towards the colony leader.
Please stay here while my officers and I go onto the Bridge. Feel free to make use of the replicator if you want some more tea,
And with that the three officers left the ready room and entered onto the Bridge. As soon as they got their they all took their seats, with the CO asking for a report. The duty Ops officer then told them,
A moment ago we started to detect a slow build up of gravimetric radiation. I've also been going over the sensor records of when the Raven was transported into this dimension with the Sciences Department, and we've found a gravimetric radiation spike that has the exact same parametric curve. The chances of it being unconnected to our relocation are millions to one Sir.
Mc7's face remained completely neutral as the Ops officer spoke.
It appears that we need to have another chat with out friend in the ready room again. Counselor, would you be so kind as to try to 'softly softly' approach. We need to know what is causing the gravimetric radiation, and we need to know fast.

They left for the bridge, and she wondered what the guy from the planet might do by himself.
Arya heard the news and didn't like this one bit, then she heard what the CO said.
"Yes, sir," she replied and got up to do what had to be done. She entered the ready room looking to see where he might be. Suddenly right after the doors closed she found him. He tried to use an object to knock her out. She was almost caught off guard, and grabbed his wrist applying enough pressure and twisting it so he would drop the object.
"I thought I was coming to talk to someone civilized, not some animal that hits people over the head," she said and pushed him toward the chairs. "Sit down, and I won't be telling you again." He sat rubbing his wrist.
"I want some information, and you are going to give it to me. We have noticed gravimetric radiation spikes, where are they coming from?" She said going directly to what she wanted. He stayed silent, and she didn't like that.
"We can do this the easy way or the hard way. It's up to you, and only you. The easy way, you give me what I want, the information I seek. The hard way, I torture it out of you. Either way I win, but only one way you win," she said trying to be pursuasive. He started to tremble a little.

--- In Ready Room ---
Steve's PADD beeped, and he looked down to read what had appeared on it. His eyes grew wide, and for a few moments, he was lost for words. He didnt have time to do anything in reply because there was a call from the bridge, and all three officers left to find out what was happening.
--- Bridge ---
When the officers returned to the bridge, Steve took his seat as the Ops officer gave his report. Steve instintively turned towards Mc7, who in turn turned towards Arya and set her on the task of breaking the colony leader for his information.
As soon as Arya left, Steve leant towards Mc and whispered. "Do you think that's wise, sir?" He asked. "We dont know what that man is capable of."
"She will be fine, Commander. Give her a little time, and I know we will get the answers we seek." The admiral replied.
"I sure hope so sir." Steve added, moving back into his chair, deep in thought........'marriage?' he asked himself, referring to Arya's message on his PADD. 'Yes, I am ready.'

After Arya had left the Bridge, Steve leaned over and asked mc7 if he thought it was wise to let Arya try to gain some information from the man alone.
She will be fine, Commander. Give her a little time, and I know we will get the answers we seek,
Mc7 said to him in a hushed voice.
10 minutes later
I believe it's about time for you to join the counselor in the ready room commander, and see what information she's managed to gain from our man. If she hasn't found the cause of the radiation, do what you can to find out. I'll be joining you shortly.
Mc7 said to the commander, who nodded and headed towards the ready room door.

Arya had been at this for ten minutes, and it looked like the guy would crack, but he was one hard nut. She was getting tired of this, and wondered how much longer she would have to continue.
Suddenly Steven arrived as if they had heard her thoughts, and responded. She acknowledged him, and he motioned for a small conference.
"So, what have you learned?" He asked, and she sighed.
"Only that he is one very tough guy. I don't know if he realizes what I could really do to him, maybe he thinks I'm bluffing. I could really use some help though. I think together we could get the information," she said, and he nodded. Arya turned around and walked back over to the guy from the planet.
"Are you ready for what is next? This is going to be fun, little man," she said and went to the replicator. She felt like a tool was needed at this time. Arya replicated a rubber dagger having the computer make it look very very real. She didn't want a real knife, not wanting the man to have a chance at yet another weapon, but she felt like this as a bluff just might work. She placed it in her belt for now.
"Tell us what you know, or prepare for torture at my hands," she said placing a hand on the dagger.

"Aye, sir." Steve replied, and headed off towards the Ready Room to see how Arya was getting along with their guest.
Upon entering, he saw that Arya was looking a little frustrated, and the colony leader was looking the same as he always did....impassive. So far, their methods hadnt managed to get him to reveal any information at all, and time was ticking. There HAD to be a way to make him talk.
When Arya retrieved the dagger and threatened the colony leader, he looked at her, and then to Steve, and back to Arya again.
"Trust me, she can be very persuasive when she wants to be. And the main thing is.....I am not going to stop her. So.....you can either help us, or....well, I will let you work out the rest." Steve said, directly to the other man. He turned to Arya, "Oh, by the way....yes!." He said, with a smile. "Carry on."

Arya was about to move closer with her bluff, and then he answered. "You have bad timing about things, but I am glad to have that answer," she said teasing Steven a little.
"Now about you, are you going to give me my answer, or are we going to draw a little blood?" She said, hoping not to have to use the fake dager. He started to look pretty confident again, and she realized he knew it was a fake.
"Nice dagger, if you like those type. I didn't know the girl was a chicken," he said, and she walked over and punched him.
"I said I would draw blood, I didn't specify how mister. I suggest you start talking," she said tossing the fake weapon on the desk.
"THIS IS AN OUTRAGE! I WANT TO TALK TO THE CAPTAIN OF THIS VESSEL!" He shouted, and then the admiral joined them.
"Well there he is, go ahead and tell him, tell us what we seek, or it could mean big trouble for you," she said, and the man stood up and backhanded the counsellor when she wasn't looking.
Arya got up, feeling her temper rise, and looked at him like she wanted to kill him. He smiled.
"If I had my way, you would be dead for that," she said, and walked back over by the commander not wanting to be hit again.
"She deserved it, she hit me, so I returned the favor," he said quickly.
"Sir, we haven't been getting much out of him. He keeps saying he wants to be returned to the planet. He also tried to jump me when I came in, I didn't meantion it to the commander til now either. Didn't want our friend dead over there," she said and smiled.

OOC: i thought that the tricorders didn't work on the planet, based on the fact that the weapons didn't and that the tricorders didn't work when Zoarial and I used them earlier... OOC: Sorry, my fault and an easy fix.Benson's hand shook uncontrollably as he held out the tricorder trying to find what he thought he had found earlier. His eyes scanned the wooded area as he saw nothing and worst yet he heard nothing. Looking down at the tricorder in his hands he noticed it was off, the power was dead. What's going on here, Benson thought. "Chet, what are you doing?" Asked a voice from behind Benson, but Benson stood fast and didn't bother to turn around to face the friendly voice, "The tricorders have been offline for hours now." Benson's mouth dropped open in shock. He had seen readings on his tricorder and people walking around in the woods. It's impossible, Benson thought, I saw it, it was right here. They were all right here."I think you need a break, you have been working pretty hard." "I'll be fine." Benson replied in a soft almost inaudible voice. "Are you sure?" Benson heard steps moving in closer to him. "Yes."

Sir, we haven't been getting much out of him. He keeps saying he wants to be returned to the planet. He also tried to jump me when I came in, I didn't mention it to the commander till now either. Didn't want our friend dead over there,
Arya told him, seconds after entering the ready room. It was clear now to the Admiral that the counsellor and first officer had more than a working relationship, a fact that was confirmed by the look of rage that passed over Steve’s face after Arya’s revelation.
Ok Commanders. I’d like to talk to the gentleman on my own please. You may return to your posts.
Even though it wasn’t phrased as an order, it was clear that it was one.
Sir, may I have a word please,
Steve said, nodding towards the far side of the room. Mc7 knew what the conversation they were about to have would be about, and appreciated the fact that his XO was doing his job well enough to bring it up.
Do you really think it’s a good idea to be in a room alone with this man? After all Arya’s just told us how he tried to attack her.
I understand what you are saying Commander. One thing I’d say is that remember I’m a former borg, so I can most definetly look after myself, even if it came to having to restrain him. Another is I can read people, and the way I read this man, he’s much more intimidated by me than he’s letting on. So much so that I’d be extremely surprised if he was brave enough to attempt anything.
Steve looked as if he had a lot more to say, but to his credit he knew when there was no point wasting his breath in trying to persuade the admiral against the course of action.
Counsellor,
He said, as he started walking towards the door to the Bridge.
A moment later it was only the two men left in the room.
I have tried to reason with you. I’ve explained the situation we are currently in, and asked for your help. Not only have you refused to aid us, but you tried to attack one of my officers. That is not something I will tolerate. I will ask again, and this will be the last time I ask so politely. How do I get the Raven back to the correct dimension?
His question was met by a wall of silence.
So be it.
Mc7 told him, walking slowly towards him.
on the bridge 15 mins later
Do you think we should call the captain to check he’s ok?
Arya asked Steve, who was currently sitting in the center chair.
No, I think we need to trust his judgement on this one. He’ll be out when he has what we need.
As Steve closed his mouth from speaking the door to the ready room opened and mc7 passed through it.
Ops, scan coordinates 245.37 latitude by 140.47 longitude. There should be a structure of some sort there. Commander Smith, that structure holds the piece of technology we need to get back to the correct dimension. Secure it and transport it aboard the Raven, ASAP.
Immediately Steve rose, summoning the away team that would be needed to get the Raven home.
