"Acknowledged commander," Sonak replied, then jumped aside just in time when a giant copper-brown blur shot past, followed by a smaller blur of a similar colour. "Firestorm to Ennien, kindly keep your pets out of my sickbay," she stated solemnly, wishing the temporary assignment of the Sivaoan would've come at another, more convenient time.
While she liked the big cat, and usually got along just fine with him, it didn't help to know that one of his closest friends, Snowfall to Srallansre had been responsble for several deaths on Bellicose not too long ago. Though the white Sivaoan had recovered, it hadn't helped diplomatic matters on the station in the slightest. Both Sivaoans were avoided, and shunned for most of the time. Hence Sonak had approved the assignment of Firestorm prior to ship departure. She felt she could use the assistance and it might boost the cat's confidence a little in return.
The feline stopped dead in his tracks when he picked up his tiny pet. "I'm sorry," he apologised, flicking his ears back, his tail drooping. "Oh, there's a ship just docked with us. A Morgan Nikolayevich....pilot if my memory serves me correctly."
Usually, a Sivaoan's memory did serve correctly, so far as Sonak had worked with them she'd never seen any of them use a tricorder to record things for themselves; it was almost as if they had photographic memories. "Then we shall await his or her arrival," the Vulcan answered coolly, walking over to one of the biobeds to prepare it for what she assumed was a Human person.
Then she remembered her link with Halthor was still open. "Go ahead commander, I will catch up with you when I am done here. Page me when you are about to beam down, I would not wish to miss meeting your parents." She signed off then sent Firestorm to deal with one of the injured from the last holodeck incident, while she waited for what appeared to be her new pilot.

Morgan carefully parked Spirit in the Vesuvius's landing bay. He grabbed a PADD with a map of the ship on, it would be embarrassing for a CNO to get lost on his first day and disembarked. He locked the ship and left the hanger bay. He tossed a jaunty salute at the security officer who came to check on the Spirit, or maybe it was an engineer... Moragn shrugged and continued on his way.
He reached sickbay and looked around for the medical officer. Morgan was normally quite good at spotting doctors, medicals were normally required when he arrived anywhere new, which was fairly frequently. He saw a vulcan woman standing to one side of the main sickbay. "Hi Doctor," He wasn't a hundred percent certain she was a doctor but it was always best to be polite to medical staff if you wanted them to patch you up again later, that had always been Morgan's policy and so far it had worked out well. He smiled but did not offer a hand. "I'm Lieutenant Nikolayevitch, new navigation officer I was told to report in for a medical screening before starting my duties"

Sonak gave the newcomer the 'once-over' then nodded gravely. "I know," she answered, gesturing to the biobed she had prepared. "A commanding officer tends to know who is to come aboard with legality, and who has no business of being aboard as well. You seem to belong to the first category. Now, please lie still for a few seconds while the system scans you."
She took a step back as the diagnostic hemisphere closed over Morgan's body, then adjusted a few settings on a nearby console. A few seconds later it opened again and she waved the pilot over. "I am Commodore Sonak Reckus," she finally introduced herself, "do not let the teal uniform misguide you, I am still in command of this ship even though I do my tenure as ship's medical officer at the same time. You may report to the bridge, I believe you have already spoken to Commander Halthor?"

On the Terminal with Commodore Sonak [limegreen] “Go ahead commander, I will catch up with you when I am done here. Page me when you are about to beam down, I would not wish to miss meeting your parents.” [/limegreen] “Understood Commodore, I will make the arrangements and see to it that our new guest is to have his quarters prepared and his new station ready. For now I’ll make my way to the transporter room and meet you there when you get done with the pleasantries.” Halthor closed the communique.
Touching his comm badge he opened he frequency again. =/\=Could all Bridge Senior Personnel including the Commanding Officer report to the transporter room in 20 minutes, we have arrived above orbit of arcona, and are ready for beaming down to the planets surface. Make sure you have the appropriate gear ready and crews needed for such an event when we arrive, as we are meeting a deliberation at arcona discussing the events on the future terraforming of a planetoid.=/\=
After he had made the transmission he stood out of his chair and walked into the office looking for his things, making sure that he wasn’t missing anything, he had his PaDD ready and the ship was in steady orbit around arcona provided that the ensign ducati could do exactly as his training had provided him with. But surely the ship would be there, and would not be flown off.
But before leaving something caught his eye, a lt straight from the USS Spirit where he had sent the communique. “Ah your our new Navigations officer, well then, if you would, take a seat by Ensign Ducati and keep the ship in a steady orbit, you seem like you got a handle on things as you have reported to sonak already as I have been told.”
<tag Morgan>
Walking out, Halthor held in one arm his duffle bag inside was his personnel gear, in the other hand his PaDD, he left one of the senior tactical officers to the bridge. “Lt Malroy you have the bridge for now, make sure you keep an eye on Lt Morgan while we are on the planets surface, if you have anything to report you direct it to me first then I will proceed it to the captain. Is that understood.” Halthor replied.
“Yes sir, understood sir.” Lt Malroy nodded with a contentful look of surprise then sat in the command chair while Halthor left the bridge walking through to the turbo lift down to the transporter room. Arriving, he saw everyone gathering in there positions.
“Commander Meylor, have you all your information with you, im sure you do, because we will need it once we arrive at this meeting. As for me I will have to provide andorian and romulan information that I know single handedly. Im confident you’ll do well.” Halthor smiled then patted the commander on the arm, then looking at the other personnel.
“Commodore Sonak, were ready to go, the team is assembled.”

"I am Commodore Sonak Reckus," the Doctor introduced herself, "do not let the teal uniform misguide you, I am still in command of this ship even though I do my tenure as ship's medical officer at the same time. You may report to the bridge, I believe you have already spoken to Commander Halthor?"
Morgan managed a nod in response and then "I have, sir" Being polite to Doctors who were also CO's was obviously a winning survival stratagy. It was only after this introduction that he saw the line of five pips that had been hidden by her lab coat. He sighed slightly after he had left sickbay, he didn't think he'd made too bad an impression but still it hadn't happened the way he had wanted.
He had been unsurprised to find he was healthy although if he had more surprises like this dropped on him he might just have a heart attack. Anyone who says that Vulcan's haven't got a sense of humour simply hasn't met the right Vulcans.
Morgan made it to the bridge, and met up with the Andorian Commander.
“Ah your our new Navigations officer, well then, if you would, take a seat by Ensign Ducati and keep the ship in a steady orbit, you seem like you got a handle on things as you have reported to Sonak already as I have been told.”
"Aye, sir" Morgan had found that keeping his mouth shut was also a good survival tactic. He settled at the navigation console and checked over the calculations for the orbit. He noticed Commander Halthor leaving the bridge. A couple of minutes later he leaned back in chair, turning slightly to the bridge at large.
"Anyone want to fill me in on what we're doing here?" he asked.

Fox had been working a double shift with his science personell in the science labs and was now resting in a very comfortable chair in his quarters when Halthor announced their arrival.
=/\=Could all Bridge Senior Personnel including the Commanding Officer report to the transporter room in 20 minutes, we have arrived above orbit of arcona, and are ready for beaming down to the planets surface. Fox sat straight up in the chair as he didn't noticed he had dozed off for a bit. Still feeling tired from the shift he got up and walked to a mirror. A sleepy man looked back. "Need a quick sonic shower." he thought and walked to the bathroom. About 10 minutes later he walked out again and quickly put on a uniform. "An extra warm one" he remembered on time.
"Here we go." he thought and walked to a replicator quickly ordering a very strong mug of coffee. With it in his hand he left his quarters drinking from it while he walked to the transporter room.
A few minutes later he entered. There he put away the mug and waited for the rest of the officers to arrive.

Sonak finished up in sickbay, changed into her maroon uniform, picked up her medkit then headed for the transporter room. "Commander Halthor, I assume Commander Harper has arrived to replace you?"
=^= I am present on the bridge ma'am =^= Harper replied before the new first officer could do so. =^=And I'll be taking good care of our new pilot, don't worry. He looks a bit meek though ,what'd you do to him?"
The Vulcan chuckled softly. "Make a good first impression?" she offered quietly, while she walked out of main sickbay, leaving it in the capable hands of her temporary assistant, Doctor Firestorm to Ennien. "Keep your fur out of things doctor," she quipped before disappearing.
Disgruntled, the Sivaoan actually did curl his tail into a tight loop, his ears flicked back on top of his head, before making a shooing motion with his paw.
Minutes later, the commodore entered the transporter room. "Ready when you are commander," she informed Halthor, "unless we are missing someone?"
~ bridge~
Mark Harper walked up to the new pilot. "Don't worry," he reassured him, "she's not usually this crazy. Though, you didnt call her sir did you? She really doesn't like being called sir. Commodore or doctor is what you get away with. But, she's really harmless, trust me. Her bark is worse than her bite, you'll see."
He motioned for the other navigator to make room for Morgan. "We'll be in orbit of Andor for a while, why don't you familiarise yourself with your console, do a few simulated runs etcetera. In an hour, perhaps we could go for a spin around the system, what do you think?" he turned back to glance at the Andorian operations assistant. "Mr Thorad, what do you think?"
ooc: Thorad's covered by Commander Meylor. commander mark harper is usually the nightwatch officer, but he jumps in when/where needed. I control harper and firestorm.

After settling into his old office, Logan followed the information Commander Halthor sent with the briefing. Adapting Fox's scans of the planetary changes in temperature, he adjusted the shielding of the ship to compensate for the possible event that they may have to enter the atmosphere.
Using the sensors that Meylor had enhanced, he was able to plot a corridor for the beam-in team and a route for the drop pods with the teraforming equipment. Assigning a few crew members, Byrne set scramblers in the drop bays to protect the intergrity of the equipment.
Stepping out, he retired to his quarters until the call was made to assemble. Relaxing, he put his holo-glasses on, and enjoyed "surfing " through an energy ribbon. About a half hour later, he received the call from the Bridge,=/\=Could all Bridge Senior Personnel including the Commanding Officer report to the transporter room in 20 minutes, we have arrived above orbit of arcona, and are ready for beaming down to the planets surface. "Keep your eyes on that console Lieutenant, i dont want you changing course for the life of us, but you seem to have a good control of the ship for now, I just wanna keep you vigiliant if you know what i mean." Commander Harper replied.
<tag Morgan>
As Commander Harper had been put in place of Commander Halthor for command of the ship, it was during that time that Halthor was ready to make the arrangements needed at the transporter room and have all senior bridge officers ready for to transport on the planet of arcona.
[limegreen] Minutes later, the commodore entered the transporter room. "Ready when you are commander," she informed Halthor, "unless we are missing someone?" [/limegreen]
“Nope, everyone had done what I have asked and Commander Harper as you have placed in command of the ship is taking care of our newest crew member, so as it seems all senior bridge officers are at the transporter room, and I will be relaying to the tranporter officer to head us on our way.” Vander replied
As the affirmed andorian looked at the commodore he then looked over at all the senior bridge officers noting that everyone of them had showed up as intended then motioned to the transporter officer for a beam to the surface.
[Andor]
As the team had arrived Commander Halthor took the time to notice where he was at and get his footing, simple enough they had all been beamed right into the chamber where the deliberation of both the romulan and andorian meeting was to be taking place about the planetoid.
“I will see to it that my parents know that I am here as well as you all are, they will be glad to have visitors, for now its seems we have arrived in an empty hall or procession that is bound to take place in a couple of days, if you’d all like we can meet with my parents while they give us a round about way tour of the planet shall we say.” Vander replied.
Looking at the Commodore, Halthor hoped that Sonak would be sympathetic in his plea, but he would have to wait for everyone to get there footing and right of way, before making any position of action while they had just arrived at a new place of origin.

Sonak blinked, assuming she hadn't heard correctly. "You will make sure?" she echoed, "surely you informed your parents that you were coming home prior to us entering course for Andor?"
Before the Andorian could respond, the party was caught in the transporter beam and seconds later they were met by the freezing cold that was part of Andor. She nodded at Halthor's next words though failed to comprehend his pleading look. "Assuming this can be done within two days, because we do have an appointment to keep. We are here to pick up an Andorian terraforming team, and between that we may visit your parents."
Briefly, she wondered whether Halthor was the product of the traditional quad rearing rather than the newer male/female couplings that seemed to have been made possible.* Pulling the collar of her parka up, she seemed smaller as she huddled a little against the freezing cold. "May we perhaps go someplace warmer?" she finally asked, after marveling at the structures in the hall they had arrived just a second ago.
She was met with silence, thus she looked around to face her first officer. "While we do, Fox you and Meylor see if you can find our terraforming team and inform them we shall be meeting with them in three hours. Logan, get our new pilot to take down a shuttle and fly you across Andor. Take as many scans as you can, they may become necessary in our terraforming project. Do not leave any stones unturned, understood?"
Once orders were given, she turned back to Halthor. "About that warmer place?" she queried, raising an eyebrow while pulling her hat a little further over her ears, already starting to feel as though they were starting to freeze over. She didn't like cold any more than other Vulcans did, despite having grown up on Earth in a country where the average temperature was no higher than seventeen degrees Celsius. She had, however, never liked winters.
*Andorians normally marry in quads, two male, two female, and while 3 take part in the production of offspring, the fourth carries the offspring to term. However since often people go for the usual pairings, I would think either option is acceptable since to my knowledge it's not canonically established either way. My personal assumption is that both options are somehow possible.

OOC: Apologies for the delay in posting, rl got a little busy
"Keep your eyes on that console Lieutenant, i dont want you changing course for the life of us, but you seem to have a good control of the ship for now, I just wanna keep you vigiliant if you know what i mean."Commander Harper said as the XO left the bridge.
Morgan simply nodded in response. He had been generally informed about the mission. He sat at conn wonder how best NOT to put his foot in it again, when Commander Harper came over to him.
"Don't worry," he said reassuringly, "she's not usually this crazy. Though, you didn't call her sir did you? She really doesn't like being called sir. Commodore or doctor is what you get away with. But, she's really harmless, trust me. Her bark is worse than her bite, you'll see."
Morgan nodded, a bit more worried now, he filed away that information for future use. He certainly wouldn't make the same mistake again. "I was wondering how a CO had time to pull shifts in sickbay." Morgan said
"We'll be in orbit of Andor for a while, why don't you familiarise yourself with your console, do a few simulated runs etcetera. In an hour, perhaps we could go for a spin around the system, what do you think?" Commander Harper said.
Morgan tapped his console a few times bringing up the system charts. "I can do a spin-around-the-system quite easily." He said, and smiled broadly. There wasn't a great deal for him to do for the moment, just the occasional slight orbit correction to avoid a piece of debris. He did need to remind himself for the precise controls of a Somna class, it had been a while after all. In the mean time he started coming up with routes round the system. It wasn't often that he was given such a carte blanche to see what a ship could do.
He heard Commander Harper asking the Ops officer for his opinion. Morgan for once stayed quiet hoping that he would get the go ahead. He worked a corkscrew manoeuvre into the trip.

Fox shivered a bit as soon as they had materialized "I see it isn't an understatement they like the cold." he thought and looked arround at the hall they had appeared in. Then he turned and looked at Sonak as he heard her calling his name.
While we do, Fox you and Meylor see if you can find our terraforming team and inform them we shall be meeting with them in three hours.
Fox nodded "We'll look for them." Fox replied shortly. "We'll be back shortly." he continued as both he and Meylor walked toward a corridor looking for the teams. After a bit of walking around they found someone of the andorian team. Fox informed him that they'd meet in about 3 hours and that the rest of their team was doing a little sightseeing right now.
He also asked where he could find the members from the romulan team. "They insisted on staying on their ship for the time being." the andorian answered him. "But they'll beam down when our meeting starts." Fox nodded in responce. "Thank you." he answered "See you in a few hours then."
He looked at Meylor "Quickly catch up with Sonak and the rest?" he asked. "I'd love to see some of this place as well." Meylor smiled and nodded.

*As Tal Shiar Major Salor stood in the shadows of the Romulan ship orbiting the disputed planet, he began to review the long and complicated route that brought him to this spot....... His real name was Larok the rank was the same Major in both services. Not all Vulcans could pull of the deception and show of emotions necessary to pull off an infiltration of this magnitude. But the recent information had just made his mission infinitely more difficult. Of all the Star Fleet Vessels they could have sent it had to be the Vesuvius; If any of the crew recognized him it could cause complications. If the Commodore had been briefed about his mission this might work if not oh well as his instructor Colonel Traks had always said ; " We'll cross that bridge if and when we get to it."*
Romulan Officer: Major the Andorrans have transmitted the information for the meeting.
Solar (Larok): Good we will stay with the plan. I will beam down with the security team and then the ambassador can beam down.
Centurion: What I am in charge of the Security for this mission.
Solar (Larok): You were I am taking charge; that is the USS Vesuvius, under the command of Commodore Sonak a Vulcan. I have had a couple of dealings with her in the past, it will be inter sting to see if she rembers me and maybe I can use that to effect the out come of this mission.
Centurion: Yes sir as the Tal Shiar wishes.
*Solar let the sarcastic remark hang in the air as he turned and left the bridge, the centurion knew he had over stepped himself and the Major could have executed him on the spot. As the Major left the Bridge the Centurion had the sudden urge to visit the restroom. But Solar (Larok) was more interested in working out a way to complete his mission without compromising the V's mission or sacrificing his former crew, or himself, but the needs of the many do out weigh the needs of the one. I think I feel a case of Rigelian Flu coming on. Solar (Larok) allowed himself a smile as he walked to his quarters , causing several Romulan crew members to hurry the other way when they saw him.*

"What did you find?" the vulcan asked as soon as Bajoran and Human returned. She had been walking around with Vander, while the Andorian showed her the city where he lived. They didn't have much more time to spare but the first officer still wanted her to meet his parents.
"We will need to leave here tomorrow at the latest," she told Vander, "can you arrange to meet with your parents for dinner perhaps? I need to get back to the ship and attend to a few things in sickbay." She shivered violently. "It is too cold for me here." She cast her senior staff an apologetic look. "Vulcans were never bred for the cold," she explained once again.
The Vulcan tapped her combadge. "Vesuvius, one to beam up."
A minute later, she walked back onto main bridge, where Morgan was just about to engage. "It appears I called in just in time," she spoke up, startling the male officer at the helm, "taking her out for a spin then?" At Harper's nod, she shrugged. "If you need me, I shall be in sickbay."
Mark Harper nodded, then stepped down to stand beside the navigator. "Told you," he whispered, "and when she's in sickbay she'll be occupied for a while so she won't bother you. It's that we'll soon get a replacement or we may never see her on the bridge again, which might in the end cause a few problems."
Thorad signaled for his attention. "We've got birds on sensors," the Andorian called out, "they're cloaked and they don't seem to have detected us yet. Course of action?"
"If they've not seen us yet, don't do anything. Morgan, prepare for evasive maneuvres once Thorad calls in hot. Understood? Thorad, prepare to cloak if they do spot us. Yellow alert!"
Sonak had just walked back into sickbay when she spotted the yellow lights flashing on the wall. "yellow alert?" she wondered, then tapped her combadge. "Harper, report!"
"We've got Romulans under cloak ma'am," Harper reported calmly, "they've not seen us yet we think, but I took precaution and ordered yellow alert."
"Understood. Let me know when to expect casualties." She tapped her combadge again. "Vander, we have trouble coming in. Romulans are en-route to Andor. We may need to leave sooner than anticipated. If we do, we shall meet with your parents when our mission is completed. Unless, they are our rendezvous party. We cannot know until they make the first move. We are prepared to leave immediately. Stand by."

*As Solar(Larok) contemplated the best coerce of action the Romulans made the decision for him.*
Bridge: Major incoming message for you eyes only.
Solar (Larok): {After entering his personal code the screen displayed a General in a Tal Shar uniform.} Major Solar you are relieved of command of this mission and ordered to surrender to Commander Tomlark who should be arriving in system shortly.
*Larok was out the door before the screen had cleared.*
Solar (Larok): Solar to bridge have my ship prepped for flight I have to report to the commander of the incoming ships.
*Not waiting for a reply Larok headed straight for the hanger bay and went straight to the scorpion attack fighter he had arrived in. Sealing himself in the Scorpion Larok began to power up all systems including weapons. *
Solar (Larok): Solar to bridge I am ready to depart.
Bridge: Major stand down and exit your craft you are under.......
*Larok killed the speakers and applied thrust to the ship while firing the forward disrupter's, opening an exit for the Scorpion. Reaching into his boot he activated his Star Fleet emergency transponder.*
Larok: Larok to Sonak I have very little time I am in a Scorpion attack ship about to make an attack run on the V. It would help if you could lock on, grab the ship with a tractor beam and beam me through it because 30 seconds after the beam locks on a self destruct will activate. Please respond eta 45 seconds.

The hour passed quite quickly and Morgan and a detailed 'spin-around-the-system' planned out it involved a lot of complicated manoeuvres and to an outside observer it might look like he was planning a show. He wasn't, or rather the show wasn't his main aim. He put the complicated tricks in because he could do them and he enjoyed them. Piloting was his first and (according to most of his exes only) true love.
Morgan was just about to start off when the Commodore appeared on the bridge. "It appears I called in just in time," she spoke up, startling the male officer at the helm, "taking her out for a spin then?"
Morgan didn't quite know how respond to that but felt that he was in trouble, he had been on board 86 minutes by this point so it was not a new record for speed of upsetting a CO. Commander Harper simply nodded.
The Commodore shrugged "If you need me, I shall be in sickbay."
Mark Harper nodded, then stepped down to stand beside the navigator. "Told you," he whispered, "and when she's in sickbay she'll be occupied for a while so she won't bother you. It's that we'll soon get a replacement or we may never see her on the bridge again, which might in the end cause a few problems." Morgan smiled, it seemed that this could be a fun ship.
Thorad signaled for his attention. "We've got birds on sensors," the Andorian called out, "they're cloaked and they don't seem to have detected us yet. Course of action?"
"If they've not seen us yet, don't do anything. Morgan, prepare for evasive manoeuvres once Thorad calls in hot. Understood? Thorad, prepare to cloak if they do spot us. Yellow alert!"
"Aye, Commander" Morgan responded. He had a personal list of evasive techniques in the Spirit's database, he had downloaded the ones that could be performed in the Vesuvius to his station when he had arrived, now he checked over the list. The addition of the Vesuvius's cloak (or was that cloaks?) to the equation made for lots of interesting possibilities. He didn't to see this ship hurt but he did want to see what she could do.
Morgan made a slight orbital correction trying to keep the Ves out of sight of the Romulan ship. he doubted that this quiet was going to last long.

Hearing Larok's voice coming through one of the speakers in the CMO's office, Sonak whirled around in amazement, then tapped her combadge. "Harper, Nicholayevich, evasive maneuvres!" she called, "a scorpion class vessel is about to decloak and attack. Lock on tractorbeam and initiate transport!"
A confused silence followed. "Harper acknowledge!" she ordered, "thirty seconds remaining. Lock on to Vulcan signature, now!"
=^=aye ma'am, locking on=^= Harper replied from the bridge, exchanging a curious look with the navigator. No message had been relayed on the bridge and he wondered whether his CO was at all sane. However when the Romulan vessel erupted into view, he moved as fast as he could. =^=transporting to sickbay=^=
Sonak turned her attention to main sickbay, though she kept an eye on the feed from the bridge as well. The figure barely had coalesced in the mid of sickbay when she saw an explosion from the corner of her eyes. Grabbing the medical tricorder from her desk, she rushed forward, waving off the nurses that approached. "I will look after him," she ordered, "I will just need some assistance in moving him to a biobed."
One of the taller male nurses approached, carrying himself with a great deal of self-confidence. "I'll take him," he offered and scooped the Vulcan up in his arms, gently depositing him on the nearest bed.
"Thank you," Sonak offered, then returned her attention to her former marine officer. "What were you doing on a Romulan vessel, Major Larok?" she queried, as she examined him, "other than trying to get yourself killed?"

* On the Bridge of the Romulan vessel in orbit.* Trenak: Major stand down and exit your craft you are under....... {the bridge rocked violently} REPORT! Centurion 1: Sir an explosion on the hanger deck; the fighter is missing; readings are inconclusive but the visual log shows the Scorpion exiting a hole in the bay doors. Centurion 2: Sir the fighter is making an attack run on the Federation ship. *At that point all power failed on the Romulan vessel.* Trenak: SOLAR I WILL KILL YOU! if the Federation does not beat me to it. *Sonak returned her attention to her former marine officer.* Sonak: "What were you doing on a Romulan vessel, Major Larok?" she queried, as she examined him, "other than trying to get yourself killed?"[/quote] *Larok handed an isolener chip to the Commodore and then surrendered to the impending darkness.* *Sonak inserted the chip in her pad and hit play: To Commodore Sonak; greetings it seems our paths have crossed again. I have detected the arrival of the Vesuvius in this system as well as the incoming of two additional War Birds I can only assume that my cover is compromised and I will have to take my leave of the Tal Shar role I have been playing for the past few months. There is a Felodesine Chip in my right fore arm as in all Tal Shar operatives. When activated it first releases Anesthezine; enough to simulate a coma; and if not deactivated or removed will in one hour release a Neural Paralyzer which will result in my death. The chip can be triggered by the carrier or remotely by the Romulans so take care in it's handling. If I do not survive the activation of the Felodesine Chip protect this isolener chip at all costs. It needs to be returned to Star Fleet Intel or Admiral Arok. If not we may go to war with the wrong people. It seems that the Tal Shar has arrived and time is up I have to go: Live Long and.........end recording.* <tag> Sonak {off all referenced medical info can be found at home.earthlink.net/~karensmorris/database/Medicines.htm }

Felodesine. Sonak frowned upon reading the information, knowing she had little time left. For once, she wished that her brother was here, the one who knew Romulans far better than she ever would. As a diplomat, he had access to certain information she as Starfleet Officer would never have access to, but alas she wouldn't be able to reach him in time. It'd take hours to set up a subspace link, hours Larok didn't have.
Storing the isolinear chip in a pocket of her uniform, she walked around the biobed which held Larok's prone form. With great care, she rolled up the right sleeve of his tunic and examined his forearm. "I need a tricorder," she announced, surprised when it was slapped in her outstretched hand immediately. Even more surprising was that it was the same tricorder she had picked up from her desk earlier and had relinguished to one of the nurses once Larok had collapsed.
Quietly she held the tricorder over his arm to locate the exact position of the felosedine chip. The tricorder beeped when it picked up the foreign object. "Scalpel," she ordered, after she had scrubbed her hands and forearms and put on a pair of sterile gloves. "Activate sterile field."
She looked up when a laser scalpel was deposited in her hand. "I said scalpel," she snapped, thrusting the laser scalpel back at the nurse. "This will set off the chip."
Embarassed, the nurse turned back to the utensil tray and picked up a razorsharp ordinary scalpel. Unasked, he also handed over the iodine and a swad of cotton cool. Sonak took them, cleaned the area carefully and set down the blade of the scalpel on the other Vulcan's skin. Green blood welled up as she cut through the several layers of tissue that made up the skin but her assistant quickly dabbed it away.
"Tweezers," she ordered, which were quickly passed over. Non-metal, the boy was a quick study after all. Through the incision she had made, she retrieved the chip. It was blinking several shades of red, but it looked like they were just in time. "Put this in stasis and encrypt access to the box," she ordered as she tidied up her handiwork.
Several minutes later, the Vulcan marine was sleeping peacefully, until his own body would rid itself of the poisons that were still coursing through his veins. There was little Sonak could do about them, it was something he had to do himself. "Rest," she told him, rather unnecessarily as she squeezed his hand. Another very illogical action.
"Bridge, my patient is out of danger. I will need security down here to question him as soon as he wakes up. I should think he is in for a little surprise when he does."

=^=Harper, Nicholayevich, evasive manoeuvres!=/\= The Commodore's voice came over the comm -=/\=a scorpion class vessel is about to decloak and attack. Lock on tractorbeam and initiate transport!=^=
Morgan was puzzled but he started putting the ship through its paces, he'd take any excuse to do this sort of thing. In fact he'd do it with no excuse whatsoever, something that had got him into trouble on more than one occasion (more than several times truth be told).
Morgan span the Ves around it's bow-stern axis and then tipped the bow above the former plane of flight putting her into a rising spiral. The Romulan ship appeared, it seemed to be trying to catch up. Morgan was dimmly aware of Commander Harper ordering the transport of a Vulcan from the ship, what a Vulcan was doing on a Romulan attackship Morgan didn't know, he suspected it was none of his business but he wanted to find out.
Morgan was grinning as he leaned over his controls, he was playing the helm like a concert pianist. Doing in system manoeuvres in a starship was always tricky, but it was so much fun. The Vesuvius twisted again turning her port nacelles along the path she had just taken and then diving below it, missing an asteroid by a few metres. Morgan didn't want to bring them any closer to the Romulan ships than he had to.
After a few minutes more of evasion Morgan slid the ship back into orbit, keeping her as far away from the Romulan ships as possible. He looked over his shoulder at Commander Harper, the large grin was still in evidence. "That was fun,"

Mark squeezed his eyes shut, holding his breath when he felt his stomack was about to leave through his throat. "Whoa," he called as he slowly exhaled, releasing his death-man's grip on the armrest of the command chair. He'd never known a Somma class starship could perform a maneuver like this. "This..." he started, casting his navigator an impish grin," we shall call the Nickolayevich maneuver from now on. That was quite something but next time...a bit of warning maybe?"
He rose from his seat and walked down to where Morgan was seated, squeezing his shoulder in approval. "Nicely carried out though, you must show me sometime...in quieter times. I highly doubt our dear captain approved of this."
As if on cue, her voice cut through over the intercom, demanding to know what was going on and whether they remembered that she had patients to care for.
"Apologies commodore," Harper answered, "we had a bit of a tight spot here, but we're ok now I think. How's our rescuee?"
=^=Resting=^= Sonak answered curtly =^=he has yet to regain consciousness, but I think you will remember Major Larok?"
Larok...yes the name did sound familiar. "Vulcan, almost ancient?" he asked carefully.
A chuckle sounded over the intercom. =^=Do not let him hear that. But yes, he is our rescuee. I will debrief him when he regains consciousness. Any word from Fox and Logan?=^=
"None ma'am. I'm about to page them." He tapped his combadge again. "Commander Fox, report."

*Larok begain to regain his awayness of the world around him. He could hear voices some seemed familiar but were distorted. Opening one lid partially he saw what seemed to be a star fleet medical bay that seemed empty. Quietly rolling off the bio bed Larok quietly approached the Red headed female with her back to the door. Reaching out with his right hand he applied a neck pinch to her and lowered her to the deck. A search of her pockets reveled the Isolener chip that was to be protected.*
Larok: When will you Romulans learn?
*Larok stumbled to the door wondering why he was having so much trouble getting his body to corporate. Remembering the words of his Teacher Colonel Traks; Never volunteer for anything, unless it is worth dying for. War between the Klingon Empire and the Federation while the Romulans watch and win. Not while Larok still could draw breath. He had to get this Intel back to Star Fleet. Who could he trust; Colonel Traks where ever he was; no that's right he is under cover in the Mirror universe. Admiral Arok was on Qo'nos'. He had to find his former Co Commodore Sonak she could help him sort this out. Looking around he had covered alot of ground by the looks he was in a star fleet ship or could it be a mock up made by the Romulans As he approached a door there was no name on the name plate and the door was locked, his hand entered a number sequence and the door slid open. Entering the room he could tell it had been unoccupied for sometime. Laying down on the bed it felt so familiar he went right to sleep.* With out his concuss knowledge he had returned to his former room aboard the Vesuvius.

Sonak turned to face the wall panel, entering a quick sequence to call up the data she needed. While she was in sickbay, there was no point of not trying to keep up with what they were here for. The Andorian science team would soon be boarding the ship and she needed to know who was in the team, and whether they were all pathogen free and recently medically examined.
Either way, the team-members would need to submit to a surface scan and she wanted to know as much about them as possible to recude their time in sickbay. She imagined Fox would want them in his labs as soon as was humanly <or any species> possible.
She was so busy, she never saw Larok's reflection in the panel. She sensed him when his land clamped down on her shoulder and she felt herself black out when he applied his nervepinch. Her last conscious thought was of being gently lowered to the deck, before everything went completely dark.
"Doctor...ma'am, wake up!"
Sonak opened her eyes and suppressed a grunt as one of the nurses helped her sit up. She flexed her right shoulder, rubbing her neck gingerly where Larok had touched her. "What.." she started, then struggled to her feet.
"It's your patient ma'am, he's gone,' the nurse supplied as he steadied his CO.
"Obviously," Sonak replied, then dusted off her teal uniform. For some odd reason, the teal seemed to fit much better than her red one. A quick examination done by the nurse told her she was fine, yet a second examination also learned that the chip he'd given her for safekeeping was gone.
"Sickbay to security. Major Larok has escaped sickbay's custody. Find him and stun him on sight. He is delirous and quite dangerous. Please take care not to hurt him, it may only aggravate him. As soon as you do subdue him, return him to sickbay at once."
~~~~
"acknowledged," Lieutenant Farnon replied, and quickly assembled his security team. Within the hour, they had located the old Vulcan in his own quarters. "Major, we need you to come with us," the human ensign announced, training his rifle on the Vulcan. "This is no joke sir, it's the captain's orders. We're to take you back to sickbay where she'll meet with you. I have orders to stun you, but I'd prefer not."
At that point, Ensign Telgar shouldered her own rifle, thinking the Vulcan to make an aggressive move. Her finger pressed on the trigger and a bright red beam struck the Vulcan right in the middle of his chest, sending him into oblivion.
Farnon glared at her but said nothing; orders had indeed been orders, which had been carried out to the letter now. "Computer, three to transport to sickbay," he ordered.
Once back in sickbay, the two security officers helped their CO to ease the unconscious Vulcan back on his bed. Just to be safe, a restraining field was activated. Reaching, Sonak retrieved a hypospray and inserted a vial of Cordrazine and pressed it against Larok's throat.
"Ah, welcome back major," she announced with a very slight smile, "do not try to sit up, you may injure yourself. I have take the precaution to restrain you. Please, rest for a little while and then you can tell me what brought you here." Seeing the confused look on his face, she pulled her own back into a neutral expression. "Or you can tell me now, and rest later," she added as if in afterthought.
*As Larok became aware of his surroundings, the more confused he became. His last clear memory was of requesting transport out of the Scorpion attack ship. Then a dream of disabling a doctor or nurse with red hair and coming here. Here seemed to be his old quarters aboard the Vesuvius. Just then his attention was drawn back to the present by the quick entrance of a security team.*
Lieutenant Farnon : "Major, we need you to come with us," the human ensign announced, training his rifle on the Vulcan. "This is no joke sir, it's the captain's orders. We're to take you back to sickbay where she'll meet with you. I have orders to stun you, but I'd prefer not."
Larok: Well Lieutenant I would comply if I could.....*Ensign Telgar pressed on the trigger of her phaser rifle and a bright red beam struck the Vulcan right in the middle of his chest, sending him into oblivion.*
Farnon: "Computer, three to transport to sickbay," he ordered.
Sonak: "Ah, welcome back major," she announced with a very slight smile, "do not try to sit up, you may injure yourself. I have take the precaution to restrain you. Please, rest for a little while and then you can tell me what brought you here." Seeing the confused look on his face, she pulled her own back into a neutral expression. "Or you can tell me now, and rest later," she added as if in afterthought.
Laork: Commodore I do not think the field will be required any longer unless I am under arrest for anything I did during my lapse in conciseness. As for how I got here the last thing I remember is requesting you to beam me aboard, as to my mission; unless you have modified the sick bay's security rating I can not discuss my mission here, if memory serves the only places with that rating are your ready room, the security commanders office and the computer core. If my request has not been lost I was in line to be reassigned to this ship again but if I did the things I think I did I would understand if you denied the transfer and had me dropped of at the nearest Penal colony as assaulting a Flag Officer is a court martialable offense. Either way star fleet security needs to get the Isolener chip. The information can only be decrypted by Omega terminal of which the closest is Star Base 47. As the Humans say the ball is in your court.
"This..." Commander Harper started, casting his navigator an impish grin," we shall call the Nickolayevich manoeuvre from now on. That was quite something but next time...a bit of warning maybe?"
Morgan smiled in response "Of course, sir." He enjoyed the way his stomach lurched when the inertia dampeners couldn't quite keep up with what he was doing with the ship, that meant that he was pushing the limits. However, he knew that it wasn't to everyone's taste. The suggestion, even in jest, of naming a piloting tick after him made Morgan almost blush, it was a recognition he doubted he deserved. He was, after all, simply a good pilot who had taken a few risks in his life and had so far survived them.
Commander Harper came up behind him and rested a hand on Morgan's shoulder. "Nicely carried out though, you must show me sometime...in quieter times. I highly doubt our dear captain approved of this."
Morgan turned, wondering at the Commander's pre-command history, had he been a pilot? It was unusual for people to take an interest in what he did, normally they either backed away slowly thinking he was insane or reached for the sick-bags after a particularly tight manoeuvre.
Morgan listened as the CO's voice came over the comm system. He was learning about this mysterious rescuee.
Morgan brought up the specs for the Ves alongside those for a Romulan Warbird and then started to plan out how best to take advantage of their weaknesses. He'd like to fly a warbird, just to say he had, but their manoeuvrability really wasn't up to much. He had a suspicion that this mission could go hot pretty quick.
He hummed quietly to himself while he worked looking forward to finding out what else this ship could do.
