"There is only two of us here captain," Savin repeated, "but we are doing all we can under the circumstances. I shall let you know when you have sensors. In the mean time, may I suggest taking a shuttle to assess hull damage?"
Alyana nodded slowly. "I believe that is good advice. Thank-you Lieutenant." She stayed silent about the small matter of finding someone to pilot said shuttle and getting the shuttle out of the bay. One thing at a time... at the moment she was doing her best to retain a calm a appearance and provide a reassuring presence to her crew. It was hard though as she was scared almost witless by this turn of events.
"Mr Zarok do you have any suggestions on the best way to proceed with the comm system?"
The Vulcan turned about, looking towards his commanding officer with a bit of a nod, “The best way to proceed would be to realign the communications circuits directly to the ship’s onboard computers. However, as a Warrant Officer, and not a Commissioned Officer, Starfleet regulations forbid me from performing such an action.”
Alyana quirked an eyebrow, a decidely Vulcan gesture that she had unknowingly picked up through Ryat from Zedan. She spoke formally. "Given the seriousness of the situation I feel we can overlook the regulations. Alternatively you could simply tell me what I need to do to realign the communications circuits."

Thinking to himself, the Vulcan looked up carefully and raised a brow. Wishing to act continually within the boundaries of his rank, he started to speak in the following manner. “To maintain the correct degree of decorum, I will simply issue the commands. It must be your hands that key in the commands.”
Walking over to the system, he looked down carefully and nodded with shut eyes, “Insert a blank tape and then depress the white jeweled command entry button.”
As she preformed these actions, Warrant Officer Zarok looked down once more and began to speak, having believed that as his hands were not on the machine, it was an acceptable case for him to intone commands into the computer that would allow for the realignment of the communications circuits.
“OR DL,20 OR BYTE PTR [991E],04 MOV [9861],DL JMP 01B2 CALL 0484 INT 21 ADD AH,BL JMP 0118 MOV DX,89EC MOV BYTE PTR [9924],04 MOV WORD PTR [9621],0000 ADD [SI+1D],SI CMP BYTE PTR [98C4],00 JNZ 0143 INC BYTE PTR [9923] JNZ 0143 CMP BYTE PTR [991F],34 CALL 1183 OR DI,[9762]”
He then looked over once more with a raised eyebrow, “Will that be sufficient?” OOC: I don’t know, but something felt right about a Vulcan spilling out nerdiness =P

Kavrin’s trip though the ducts was somewhat more difficult than he had expected, he had been unwilling to use lifts encase power was completely lost and his faith of that not happening was low. The most direct route to the access panel nearest sickbay was blocked by a sparking conduit, this was not the only power conduit Kavrin encountered that was leaking power into the duct, ‘engineering is going to have one hell of a time trying to fix all of these’ Kavrin had no idea how much power would be able to get to the doors to seal them, but for now he had other issues to worry about. After spending almost half an hour crawling though conduits, most of which he knew he should have noted down as damaged for their chief of engineering, Kavrin finally found a panel close to sickbay and gave it a kick. The panel fell to the floor with a smash , Kavrin then lifted himself out of the duct and looked around at the corridor, he saw allot of crew members on the ground but he noted a nurse running towards him in a panic. "What's going on, sir. The rest of the medical staff just collapsed. Are we under attack?" Laura said. She was babbling but she was scared and didn't care if he knew it. Kavrin thought about how he had arrived and understood he probably had made her think they were under attack or something “To my knowledge we are not under attack, some sort of energy hit the ship and took every human crewmember out for the count, do not ask me what type of energy because i have no idea. I need you to start looking at those you have in sickbay and to try and work out what has happened”.
Tag: Fernandez (Aly)
As Kavrin finished he noted one of his security officers approaching, ”Sir, at least you are still up right, a few of us have started to try and gather all officers near where we were assigned to bring them to sickbay, what is happening sir?”. Kavrin spent a few moments explaining what happened again before speaking again “Right i want you and all officers who are not medically trained or engineers to gather any unconscious crew members and bring them to one of the cargo bays, medically trained officers should report here to sickbay and help with making arrangements for those who are out of it, engineers kick tem fast towards engineering” Kavrin was thankful when both the nurse and the security officer quickly ran towards were they were to work. Kavrin turned towards the nurse her back moving quickly towards sickbay “I will assign a few security officers when i can to ensure sickbay remains secure, i think you would prefer that i expect” Kavrin did not wait for a response as he ran in the direction of the security officer.
After several minutes they arrived at a group of officers, most holding their human crew mates while waiting to hear it was safe, he noted that only two were security officers, the one he had followed and one who was scanning one of the unconscious, Kavrin gave the officer on the ground a look ‘is he not a human, could he be immune to this effect?’ “Right everyone, i want you to move these people to cargo bay 1, we are going to set up a ward there to ensure we know where they are and can monitor them more easier. Ensign ah Davis, could you come with me a moment” Kavrin wanted to speak with him to one side, what was the chances that 3 trill officers would be on the same ship, Kavrin took Russell into one of the rooms nearby, checking it was empty Kavrin spoke to him “What have you learned ensign?” Russell did not look to surprised by the question and responded quickly “Well they are all unconscious as you know, they do not seem to be giving off the normal brain waves that would suggest sleep or a coma, it is like their brains are being surprised, i have scanned a few of the non-humans and i can tell that everyone is being affected to some level by this, but it seems Vulcan and your brainwaves seem the least affected, while the others are slowly succumbing, i believe the Chief science officer is Andoran, i would need to scan him to make sure he is not slowly slipping” Kavrin nodded, he understood very little of what the ensign had said but at least now he knew something ‘only Vulcans and trills are immune that he has worked out, the rest are just fighting it off for now then.’ The thought that he might be down to just those two races made him worrying, any ship hit by this would be hard pushed to defend themselves. “What about you, you look human?”
”Well sir, i cannot explain that, i have had another officer scan me and the results suggest that the wave, pulse or whatever it is does not even seem to touch me. It does not make much sense” Kavrin nodded, ‘well they there may be a defence, well only Thalin can confirm that’ Kavrin moved to the wall where a communications panel was, Kavrin was relieved that it actually worked “Bridge, this is Los, i have found a small group of conscious crew, we are going to begin taking the down crew to cargo bay 1 while a nurse in sickbay begins to work out what we can do to cure whatever it is. I should not i have found one human crew member who seems immune to whatever hit us, while the rest of us are either resisting it or blocking it” Kavrin did not feel completely qualified to speak further. “Ensign, you explain this to the captain, then do whatever she orders” Kavrin at this point moved out into the corridor and began moving the group towards cargo bay 1.
--Ensign Russell Davis POV—
Russell was not happy about having to explain this to the captain, his history was not very good and he was worried he might say or o something that might affect the time line, but it was here that he was sent back in time and it had to be here that he could return though time. Moving to the consol Russell pressed the button and spoke “Captain, whatever hit us has not actually cleared, it seems to be suppressing the brainwaves of the human crew members, and everyone else is just holding off the effect, well except for Commander Los race and Vulcans, i am not sure if the list is limited to that. Ma’am i am human but for some odd reason the energy is avoiding me”
Tag: Aly/Bridge
“Yes ma’am, i will do that as soon as i can” Russell closed the communication link and then made his way out into the corridor, ‘how do i think that being from another time zone has made me impervious to this, i am a counsellor not a scientist’ Russell continued down the corridor.
OOC: for everyone’s information, Russell Davis is actually one of my other characters that i TOed a while back, he was the former XO of the victory before Wong took the position

Petty Officer Second Class Laura Fernandez
What's going on, sir. The rest of the medical staff just collapsed. Are we under attack?" Laura said. She was babbling but she was scared and didn't care if he knew it.
“To my knowledge we are not under attack, some sort of energy hit the ship and took every human crewmember out for the count, do not ask me what type of energy because i have no idea. I need you to start looking at those you have in sickbay and to try and work out what has happened”.
Laura nodded slowly grateful to have some focus. "I did a preliminary examination on Doctor Wundt, sir, there was nothing I could see wrong with him except that he's unconscious. I tried adrenaline to bring him round but there was no effect. I shall try a more detailed scan." She paused and thought for a moment. "Sir, you said that all the human crew had been affected." He nodded, Laura broke into a dry sort of grin, "In that case I guess I ought to thank my grandma..." With that somewhat cryptic comment she turned and headed back to sickbay. She barely heard the Commander's parting statement but nodded anyway.
“I will assign a few security officers when i can to ensure sickbay remains secure, i think you would prefer that i expect"

Captain Alyana Ryat
“To maintain the correct degree of decorum, I will simply issue the commands. It must be your hands that key in the commands.” Aly nodded, for the moment, as far as she was concerned anyway a lot of protocol could disappear. Her priority was getting the Excalibur and her crew back into top form as soon as possible and if that meant burning her fingers a couple of dozen times on the inside of the comms station then so be it. It was probably quicker than arguing with a Vulcan and certainly better than annoying one.
“Will that be sufficient?”
"I believe so," Aly replied getting to her feet once more. She was about to sent a message to the whole ship when a message came up from the CSO.
“Bridge, this is Los, i have found a small group of conscious crew, we are going to begin taking the down crew to cargo bay 1 while a nurse in sickbay begins to work out what we can do to cure whatever it is. I should not I have found one human crew member who seems immune to whatever hit us, while the rest of us are either resisting it or blocking it” Then another voice came on the comm.
"Captain, whatever hit us has not actually cleared, it seems to be suppressing the brainwaves of the human crew members, and everyone else is just holding off the effect, well except for Commander Los's race and Vulcans, i am not sure if the list is limited to that. Ma’am I am human but for some odd reason the energy is avoiding me”
Aly raised her eyebrows at that. "Ensign get to sickbay, we need to know what makes you stand out, perhaps we can use it to restore the rest of the crew."
“Yes ma’am, i will do that as soon as i can."
Tag: Kavrin / Russell
When the comm link closed Aly paused for a moment before opening a shipwide comm, she had no idea exactly how many people were listening to her but she wanted to do it right.
"Excalibur crew, this is Captain Ryat. As you are all probably aware an energy field has struck the ship and rendered a large proportion of the crew unconscious. All engineering, science, operations, or communications staff should report to Commander Zarath in Main Engineering. All medically trained crew should report to sickbay. All security and other personnel should report to Commander Los in the Main Cargo Bay."

OFF: I am going to attempt a post, it will not be a long one as I am at a loss as to what to do. I need interaction to function.
ON: "Lieutenant?" Savin murmured, examining the cuffs of his sleeves. There were no rank insignia present, and he had no knowledge of being promoted. "Ma'am are you certain you are addressing the correct person? I am an ensign..."
The Vulcan shook his head, chagrined that his Andorian companion was witness to his confusion, and loss of emotional control with it. He recomposed himself, straightened then took a few deep breaths. "Captain, I am taking a shuttlecraft to assess external damage to the Excalibur. Ensign Thelev will be in command of engineering."
He grabbed an engineering kit, gave specific orders to Thelev, then hurried to the shuttlebay. Fortunately, a shuttle was already prepped for for some reason, for which he was gratified. Quickly, he boarded, and lifted off.
Through the forward window, Savin could visually assess the damage, but the craft's scanners were doing much of the work for him. Though a faint orange glow was visible on the ship's hull, there was no visible damage of any sort of weaponry that he was familiar with. "Captain, it almost appears as though the ship was struck by lightning," he reported, leaning on the console to better look out the window. "No apparent damage otherwise. I am taking the shuttle on a visual inspection of the Excalibur, I shall report in when I have more information."

Captain Alyana Ryat (Bridge)
"Captain, I am taking a shuttlecraft to assess external damage to the Excalibur. Ensign Thelev will be in command of engineering."
"Of course, I shall expect a report on your findings shortly." Aly heard her somewhat clipped sentence devoid of much feeling, she wondered if she was channelling Zedan.
She looked round the bridge the emptiness worried her, she had grown used to the bustle and noise of the bridge, it was the ship's centre after all. There were members of crew still laying on the deck they had been moved to the relatively open area between the Captain's chair and the front consoles. Aly couldn't see them from her current position but she knew they were there and their presence weighed heavily on her mind.
"Captain, it almost appears as though the ship was struck by lightning," he reported, leaning on the console to better look out the window. "No apparent damage otherwise. I am taking the shuttle on a visual inspection of the Excalibur, I shall report in when I have more information." she was relieved that the Excalibur appeared in one piece
Aly quickly relayed that information to Commander Los.

She then continued.
"I believe we should consolidate our resources in main engineering. Mr Zarok and I shall make our way down there. I shall see you shortly."
Tag:
Aly had no idea where Commander Los was but guessed that he was probably a lot closer to Main Engineering that she was.
She looked round the bridge, she didn't want to leave her unconscious crew members here but with main power still out there was no way to transport them safely. She walked to the still open access hatch, preferring the crawlways to being stuck in a turbo lift.
"Come on Mr Zarok we have quite a way to go."

****************************************************** Petty Officer Second Class Laura Fernandez (Sick Bay)
The Captain's message had gone out and now there precisely eight people with medical training who were still conscious and had made it to sickbay. For some reason Laura could not explain she was the one everyone else was looking to for organisation. So far they had conducted a detailed scan of Doctor Wundt's brain. From the brainwaves it appeared that he was asleep.... and dreaming.
It seemed that he was somehow stuck in REM sleep, that left the 'small' questions of how and, more to the point, how could they get him (and all the others to come out of it).
It was then that a security officer entered sickbay. He did not seem to want to be there (not exactly uncommon in starfleet officers) but strangely (for the moment anyway) he appeared human. Laura couldn't remember all the medical records but she could make a guesstimate on the numbers of non-human crew on the Excalibur (even accounting for odd ones like herself).
She walked over to him.
"Can I help?"

“Of course, Captain. I meant no disrespect if I had been under a delay.”
He paused for a moment, regrasping the ladder wrungs of the Jefferies tubes. “Excuse me, Captain, but it would seem as though it would be beneficial if I were to carry you. My Vulcan body is more developed than that of a Trill, owing to the intense gravity on the Vulcan world.” He rose his brow, considering that in a purely logical society there is no system of offense. His words were, therefore, not meant to insult by any means.
However, he did not allow her the benefit of actually protesting nor even did he wait for her to make a comment. Instead, he grasped her in the venerable fireman’s carry. With his arms twirling around her as though they were snakes, she would have no choice but to follow along with him. To do anything else would be suicidal, considering the conditions. Instead, the Commanding Officer would have to follow along with his plan.
Instead of grunting, as any emotional creature would have done, he simply allowed himself to hold out and squinted his eyes to handle the intense force caused by both the remaining artificial gravity of the ship as well as the force of her mass upon him as he kept up an unrelenting pace to reach the lower engineering deck without any other such concerns. He understood, of course, that time was of the essence in any case, despite what ever else would appear. This case was no different, it would seem, and he valued that time.
OOC: I did not mean to godmod if it sounds as though I did. I would gladly retract my post, if it is in anyone’s best interests.

Checking his sensors again, Savin made a few adjustments, then swung the shuttlecraft around. The ship was still glowing, though less so than several minutes before. The Vulcan analysed the readings, arching an eyebrow in confusion as the results ran past on the monitor before him. "This cannot be correct," he murmured, as he walked aft. He switched scanners again, this time scanning for anomalies. When that gained no results, he set it to full spectrum scan again.
"Computer."
"Working."
"Scan for alien weapon signatures and specify."
"Substance identified as Neo-Amber Flux. Origin unknown. Specifically designed against the Human species, but adaptable."
Savin crossed his arms over his chest as he leaned against the bulkhead. "Is the weapon still in the system?"
"Negative. Not detecting system at present."
Savin was thrown off his feet and into the forward console hard when his shuttle was struck. The amber beam ricocheted off the shuttle's hull and struck the Excalibur for a second time. The Vulcan climbed to his feet, trying to shake off the result of his impact against the console. "Re-evaluate previous answer," he ordered, as he climbed back in his seat.
"USS Excalibur, this is Savin. Respond. Shuttlecraft under attack, I am returning to the ship. Respond!"
He was thrown from his seat when the craft was struck again, sending it sprawling bow over stern. The craft was suddenly held immobile as the Excalibur's tractorbeam caught it, slamming Savin to a full stop against a bulkhead. A little groggy, he got back to his feet. "I am uninjured," he reported, "thrusters are offline, shuttlecraft is inoperable. Systems are down, lifesupport failing."
Fortunately, sensors were still operational when the beam had struck a second time and he had sufficient data to show Thalin Zarath when he returned to the ship. "I need assistance in returning to the shuttlebay," he reported, coughing as smoke filled the cabin.

"Excuse me, Captain, but it would seem as though it would be beneficial if I were to carry you. My Vulcan body is more developed than that of a Trill, owing to the intense gravity on the Vulcan world."
Without pausing to let Aly reply Zarok picked her up and slung her over his shoulders. She let out a very undignified and girlish 'eep' as her feet left the ground. By the time she regained her bearings she was rather upside down and being bumped along as the vulcan science officer moved through the ship.
Aly was trying to work out how to get out of this situation diplomatically and with what was left of her dignity intact. They reached the corridor out main engineering. Alyana spoke, clearly and precisely (well as clearly and precisely as she could manage given her current predicament) and in vulcan.
"I would be most obliged if you would return me to the deck, Mr Zarok."

As they entered engineering Aly looked around. It was quiet.
"USS Excalibur, this is Savin. Respond. Shuttlecraft under attack, I am returning to the ship. Respond!" That was the CEO's voice on the comm. Aly's stomach knotted. "Make preparations to get that shuttle back on board as quickly as possible."
"Yes ma'am" an NCO whose name Aly did not know said. "The tractor beam is still online. Latching on to vessel ... now."
"I am uninjured," he reported, "thrusters are offline, shuttlecraft is inoperable. Systems are down, lifesupport failing." Aly's stomach unknotted slightly.
"I need assistance in returning to the shuttlebay,"
"We're tractoring you on board." Aly said over the comm line.
Tag:
"Commander Los," Aly opened another comm link. "Lieutenant Savin's shuttle came under attack while he was surveying the ship. He is arriving in the main shuttle bay at the moment. I need your opinion on the attacks as soon as possible."

Once the shuttlecraft safely landed on the hangardeck, Savin wrenched the hatch open and stumbled out, leaning heavily against the shuttle's hull while coughing furiously. In his free hand, he held the tricorder to which he had transferred his findings, along with a few spare data disks.
Still coughing, he sank down to the deck, a frustrated frown on his face as he studied his data. Something was wrong with the beam that had struck his craft, and he would yet discover what it was. Sooner or later, he'd have this mystery unraveled but he would need help. "Mr Zarath, when time and duty permits, please meet me in one of your laboratories. I have yet to hear your theories on the disabling of the Human crew."
The Vulcan blinked a few times, before struggling back to his feet. He felt a little disoriented due to being thrown about, and the brief lack of air, but he felt otherwise fine. He arched an eyebrow when he saw Commander Los enter the hangardeck. "Commander, with your permission I would like to take a brief break, before I resume my duties. I have a few theories that require my attention, but I need to tend to myself first."
--
Tricorder still lying beside him on the table, Savin studied the screen in the recreation room. In one hand he held a cup of tea, while in the other he had a half-eaten sandwich. Halting mid-chew, he leaned closer to the screen, studying the game it represented. It was a Romulan strategic game he had once downloaded, with the intent to pry it apart to see into the mechanics of the game. Instead, the game itself had started to intrigue him and he had indulged in the fascination with it.
"Hmm," he murmured, as he studied the figures on the screen moving across space, firing oddly amber coloured weapons. He tilted his head in thought, as he reached for the tricorder and played back his recordings. "Odd," he commented, as he sipped his tea. A theory was starting to occur to him, but he needed proof. Tangible proof, and that required creative thinking, something he had yet to grasp the basics of.
Lost in thought, and losing track of time, Savin continued his game, becoming quite adept at it in very little time. Those observing around him murmured to themselves, pointing at the screen and the oblivious Vulcan manipulating the controls. "Almost a natural," one of them murmured, loud enough for those standing a little further away to hear. The person in question wasn't all Human, as was evident by the gray-ish hue to his skin.

Russell Davis POV Russell made his way to sickbay quite slowly, it was difficult as he passed seeing the faces of some of the younger crew members, he wanted to stop and comfort them as he would have done in his old job, but he knew his job now and he would do it as best as he could. Arriving into sickbay it did not take long for one of the medical staff to spot him, "Can I help?" Russell looked at the woman and responded “I was order to come down here, i am human, yet i am unaffected by whatever is happening here.” Russell noted that most of the staff present had suddenly turned round to look at him “I guess i should expect a large amount of prodding is about to begin” Russell grimaced as he said the words know doctors were quite touchy about the whole idea of prodding patients.
Tag: Laura (Aly)
Kavrin POV Kavrin made his way down to cargo bay 1 where he found his officers already gathering the bodies of the crew that were now out of it, Kavrin did not like the look of the numbers, nearly nine tenths of his departments staff were human and were all now slowly being brought to here or to sickbay. “Lieutenant, how is the count going” the Andorian lieutenant turned around with a consol in hand “Sir, we have found almost 50 officers down, 45 are human the others are as yet unidentified but i think they are human as well” Kavrin shook his head, 50 officers down and more most likely all over the ship. “And what about the ability to protect the ship against attack? Do we have enough security officers to work well?” Kavrin knew the answer but he needed to be sure “I think you know the answer sir, we can still man our stations but if we are boarded there is very little we can do to stop them” Kavrin thought for a few moments before he spoke “Right, if we go to red alert i want all security teams to gather in sickbay, engineering and the bridge. If we get attacked those are the vital areas and the main places to fight at” the lieutenant nodded and then returned to his duties passing on the orders as he went.
Kavrin spent the next minutes trying to get more of the out cold crew into the cargo bay, they seemed to be getting closer to completely gathering the ‘unwell’ officers into the cargo bay, he was about to call the captain when she called him "Commander Los," Aly opened another comm link. "Lieutenant Savin's shuttle came under attack while he was surveying the ship. He is arriving in the main shuttle bay at the moment. I need your opinion on the attacks as soon as possible." Kavrin pressed the button on the panel on the wall “Aye Captain, i should also tell you we have almost completely gathered the crew who are out cold, we can now leave them to the medical staff, and I have placed the remaining security to protect only sickbay, engineering and the bridge. Unless you have anywhere else needing protection?”
<Tag Aly>
Kavrin left the cargo bay moving quickly towards the shuttle bay, arriving fairly quickly Kavrin found a shuttle smoking mildly, a Vulcan emerged from the door but Kavrin was not able to say anything before the engineer spoke "Commander, with your permission I would like to take a brief break, before I resume my duties. I have a few theories that require my attention, but I need to tend to myself first." Kavrin gave the Vulcan a look “Lieutenant i will give you a few minutes to collect yourself and your ideas, but i will need a full report about what happened out there, so either write me a report fast or get back here when you can Lieutenant” Kavrin released the lieutenant to deal with whatever it was he wanted to deal with. Kavrin turned his attention on the shuttle itself, “What a hell of a mess” Kavrin murmured as he began looking around the shuttle, at first glance the shuttle looks unharmed, but on closer inspection he could see two major light scorch marks the first he looked at was just above the shuttle’s window. Kavrin gave the scorch mark a scan with his tri-corder but was unhappy to find very little information, looking at the mark he knew it came from a long range shot due to the way the scorch seemed to stretch out. For a time Kavrin could not understand the second hit, the first problem was that the blast came from an odd angle to the shuttle, from an angle that could be accessed without being between the Excalibur and the shuttle. Kavrin leaned closer to the impact and he saw something that made him worry, moving to pick up the tri-corder again to check his findings he was pleased to find himself confirmed, and concerned even more. Moving across the bay, Kavrin opened a comm. channel “Captain, this is Commander Los, i have found something that might concern us all, on quick review the shuttle sustained two hits, the first came from long range, most likely from deep in the nebula where our sensors could not detect them. The second is what has me concerned, it was done at an angle that would place the enemy between the shuttle and us, and was done close enough to almost touch it. So either this weapon does not decay like normal weapons, or they are able to fool our sensors.” As Kavrin finished his tri-corder completed another check from the sensors “And i just ruled out Romulan’s, the energy signature has never been used by them and it would interfere with their cloaks so we can also rule out cloaking tech with have encountered before.” Kavrin did not like what this suggested.

OFF: actually Commander Los, the weapon is Romulan. I have already discussed this with Captain Ryat through private conversation.
ON: Savin had no idea how much time had passed, but at once he knew he was late in reporting back his findings to Commander Los, as he had been ordered to do. When he looked up from the game, and his analysis of the beam that had struck both Excalibur and shuttlecraft, he first noticed that several crewmembers had gathered around him. Some, he noted, were pale-looking Humans, while others were clearly not all Human.
"My apologies," the Vulcan apologised, "I had not intended to draw you all from your recreation or duties." He gathered up his tricorder, disks and stylus, then left the rec-room.
He went past his quarters first to change into a fresh uniform, as he had failed to do so when he had become intrigued by his data and his game. That could also be the reason for the crowd, as he noticed his red tunic was smudged with black and singed here and there. His general appearance was a little bedraggled, he saw when he caught his reflection in his mirror.
Caelir mewed, vying for his attention as he changed into something clean and more presentable. Savin pressed the communicator in his quarters. "Savin to Los, I shall be with you in the shuttlebay in a moment, I apologise for my tardiness, it shall not happen again."
Indeed a moment later, the Vulcan walked back into the shuttlebay, the datapad stuck under his arm, while still studying the data on his tricorder. "Commander, I have come to the conclusion that whatever struck us, is indeed a natural phenomenon by origin however I have discovered Romulan energy particles in said phenomenon. Therefor, the logical conclusion must be that the Romulans have devised a way to bend this phenomenon to their will. And use it at will, I might add."
He held out a green disk, which held his game. "I have discovered the same energy readings in this program, which I have had in my possession since coming aboard the Excalibur. "The first striking might be accidental, but the subsequent attacks were quite deliberate. What does have me puzzled, is that only the Human crew, and I am referring to those that are fully Human, were rendered unconscious. I would like more time to study the data I have gathered, and perhaps confer with Mr Zarath and a doctor on a hypothesis I have formulated. It is my belief that this phenomenon acts upon a certain frequency that disrupts the brainwave patterns of those Humans that are genetically full Human. Anyone with genes other than described, will only feel ill-effects or not be affected at all."
The Vulcan stoically held the Trill security chief's gaze, his expression neutral though his words indicated a certain level of enthusiasm that was wholly un-Vulcan like.

Zarok started to nod carefully and looked up with his eyes, responding equally in Vulcan. “I find it impressive that you have such a command of my language, and I thank you for possessing it so. However, we are returning to deck. It will only be a few more moments, I assure you.”
As they finally reached the necessary engineering deck, Zarok most unceremoniously placed her into the engineering shaft and deposited her out the other side. Climbing out in the same pattern, he peered around with great awareness.
As they entered engineering Aly looked around. It was quiet.
__________________________________________________________ __________________________________________________________
The aforementioned Andorian did, in fact, make good on that promise as he met with the Vulcan in a laboratory. However, he was unable to meet with the man on a scientific laboratory. Unfortunately, the ship was only truly operable in a few areas and therefore, it was a necessity that one of the Operations workshops on the engineering deck was used for their meeting. Lowering his head, he sighed suspiciously and looked down, “To be honest, I am currently unsure of what is the cause of the reason non-human crewmembers were unaffected. I had initially thought it had something to do with blood, but I believe the blood type of a Trill is closer to a human being…well, at least closer than Vulcan or Andorian blood anyways. It could be attributed to Vulcan stoicism…but the Captain and I exhibit emotions just as strongly as anyone else. Do you have any further theory on the issue?”

Captain Alyana Ryat (Main Engineering)
“Aye Captain, i should also tell you we have almost completely gathered the crew who are out cold, we can now leave them to the medical staff, and I have placed the remaining security to protect only sickbay, engineering and the bridge. Unless you have anywhere else needing protection?”
"Commander, it's probably easiest to just seal off the bridge as we have relocated ship control to engineering. I don't want you to spread your staff to thinly in light of the attack on Mr Savin's shuttle."
Tag: Kavrin
Aly walked round engineering until she located Ensign Thelev "Ensign I apologise for disturbing you and irregular intervals but I would like an update on external sensors and the engines. I'd like to get us out of here as soon as possible."
Tag: Thelev (Savin)
Aly did her best to keep out of the way of the over stretched engineering staff in stead she busied herself making sure that the bridge was properly closed off.
“Captain, this is Commander Los, i have found something that might concern us all, on quick review the shuttle sustained two hits, the first came from long range, most likely from deep in the nebula where our sensors could not detect them. The second is what has me concerned, it was done at an angle that would place the enemy between the shuttle and us, and was done close enough to almost touch it. So either this weapon does not decay like normal weapons, or they are able to fool our sensors.”
Aly muttered a few more choice phrases in Klingon under her breath before taking a deep breath and replying to the Security Chief. "Thank-you for the information Commander, If you could narrow down the region where the weapon seems to be we shall have somewhere to aim for when the sensors are back on line. Update me as soon as you know more."

"I was ordered to come down here, i am human, yet i am unaffected by whatever is happening here.” Russell noted that most of the staff present had suddenly turned round to look at him “I guess i should expect a large amount of prodding is about to begin”
Laura smiled at the security officer, she was to say the least intrigued. So far they had found no examples of a conscious human. She was one of the closest exampled by I highly detailed genetic analysis had proved the family myth her maternal grandmother had not been human.
"Please sit down on the biobed" Laura gestured to a vancant one and we'll start by affirming that you are indeed human. Today is a very good day for finding out that someone in your family wasn't quite who you thought they were. I don't suppose you have any theories on that?" Laura started the genetic analysis as she spoke. If he turned out to be 100% human they might have found a away to rouse the rest of the crew.

Zarok exhaled carefully as he moved over to his commanding officer and raised a brow, “I did not know that you spoke Klingon, let alone did I know that you were capable of using such colorful metaphors in the speech of that language.” Raising his brow once again, the aforementioned officer moved to take a seat at a computer console, shaking his head as he tried to contemplate the use of the data that was being displayed upon that machine. However, so far, the data that was there did not indicate anything that would have been of any use to the crew. Instead, it was almost as if there had been someone who set up a near textbook read out of how the computer console should print the data to him. Sighing in the typical, emotionless, Vulcan pattern, he turned back to Alyana Ryat.
Looking to the Trill, he once more raised his brow and exhaled, “This is most fascinating. I believe that you would gain a benefit if you were to view the arrangement and classification that I am currently under the influence of.”
Leaning back into his seat with his hands folded, he never the less remained with his brow raised in the typical demonstration that he had presented, as most Vulcans were so fond of doing.
That is, if confirmed Vulcans could establish what one was fond of, if anything.

Savin regarded the chief of science, as he still held out the disk towards Los. "As I just stated, perhaps it could be some form of frequency in the target beam, that somehow affects only the Human brainwaves, but not those of non-Human species. I am curious commander, but I do not mean to pry. Were there any half-Human officers affected? And if yes, were they affected similarly to the full-blooded Humans?"
When Los did not take the offered data disk, Savin dropped his arm to his side. "I did discover that the beam that struck both the Excalibur and the shuttlecraft, is of Romulan origin. I recognise the energy design." This time he offered the disk to Zarath, and literally placed it in the Andorian's hand. "If you will excuse me, I have other duties to attend to."
The Vulcan chief engineer brushed past the science chief, hurrying out of the hangarbay. He didn't want to spend any more time than necessary in that room, not after what he'd gone through so recently. He had other projects that needed his attention, and one just might actually tie in with recent events.
First, he went by his quarters to check on Caelir. He knew his cat didn't like spending large amounts of time alone, and the feline was crying when he entered, almost instantly jumping up and hooking his claws in Savin's tunic. Gently, Savin dislodged the feline and set him back on the floor, then made sure the cat had enough food and milk to last the rest of the shift. Quietly, he stroked the cat's head, patting it gently at the last stroke. "I will be back soon," he promised, then walked back to engineering.
He walked in just as the captain asked his assistant a question. "Ensign I apologise for disturbing you and irregular intervals but I would like an update on external sensors and the engines. I'd like to get us out of here as soon as possible."
He signaled the Andorian to answer. Thelev straightened, his antennae swaying gently. "Sensors are almost fully functional captain, "he reported, "warp engines are still offline, but they should be ready to be restarted within the hour. Impulse engines are now operational, but only at half speed. They may take a little longer to repair." He shifted his gaze to Savin. "Sir, progress report sir." He held out the stylus, which the Vulcan accepted immediately.
"Good work," the Vulcan commented. "Captain with your permission, I have duties to attend to. Thelev will be quite capable of dealing with your questions. Excuse me." Taking a spare data disk, containing his game-research, he walked to one of the more repote engineering stations. From a small cubicle, he pulled a armlength-sized object, which was partially taken apart. The inscription on it was not Federation standard, nor was it Vulcan, but in some symbols, it resembled the language.
Savin stared at the Romulan piece of engine, wondering what exactly it's function was. So far, he hadn't been able to unravel it, but combined with the data he now had, both from the game he had acquired months ago, and the most recent data, perhaps he could now piece it's function together. He stared at it in fascination, remembering that the other part he had in his quarters should fit to it somehow.
Shaking his head in annoyance, at his slip of control in displaying a fair bit of enthusiasm over this project, he replaced the object in the cubicle. He had work to do, engines to repair and he knew the captain was waiting for his engineers to clear the job. Quietly, he walked over to the console that displayed sensor operations, ran a few quick diagnostics, then walked back to Thelev and the captain. He was surprised the captain was still here, but he quickly managed to hide it. "Sensors are now fully operational. Close range is still somewhat edgy, but long range should be starting to gather data any second now."

"I did not know that you spoke Klingon, let alone did I know that you were capable of using such colorful metaphors in the speech of that language.” Under other circumstances Aly might have blushed at such a comment now though she merely gave a wry smile. "I am fluent in 24 languages although I have not doubt that some of them are a touch out of practise at the moment. I do not have the opportunity to converse in regularly in Klingon so I curse, fortunately the language gives me plenty of choice for invectives."
“This is most fascinating. I believe that you would gain a benefit if you were to view the arrangement and classification that I am currently under the influence of.” Aly was puzzled by the Vulcan's statement by quietly moved round to his side.
"Why don't you explain what I'm looking at."
(Zarok)
Aly addressed the Assistant Chief Engineer"Ensign I apologise for disturbing you at irregular intervals but I would like an update on external sensors and the engines. I'd like to get us out of here as soon as possible."
Thelev straightened, his antennae swaying gently. "Sensors are almost fully functional captain, "he reported, "warp engines are still offline, but they should be ready to be restarted within the hour. Impulse engines are now operational, but only at half speed. They may take a little longer to repair." Aly nodded both at the report and at the just returned CEO. She was pleased that so much progress had been made.
"Captain with your permission, I have duties to attend to. Thelev will be quite capable of dealing with your questions. Excuse me." Aly did not want to be a disruption to the overstretched engineering staff so that was fine with her.
She decided to stay in in engineering, she would do what she could to help and monitor the still not-quite stable internal comms. A while later she heard Savin's voice.
"Sensors are now fully operational. Close range is still somewhat edgy, but long range should be starting to gather data any second now." Aly walked over to stand next to the engineer where she had a view of the sensor read out screen.
"Well, Mr Savin, let's see what's out there."

“I do not currently know of any half-blooded humans who are currently awake whom were members of our ship. That being said, I wonder about any Izaran or such crewmembers. While not totally non-humans, they are not fully humans either, being of an off breed of species and such. Would you concur with my theory here?”
When Los did not take the offered data disk, Savin dropped his arm to his side. "I did discover that the beam that struck both the Excalibur and the shuttlecraft, is of Romulan origin. What further analysis…” He stopped speaking then, for he realized that the other had already seen fit to have left him. “This

“I suppose I do not understand what you are asking by that, Captain. Would you please further reiterate the command that you have offered to me?”

Savin worked the controls of the sensor feed, his hands rapidly flying over the console. "There is nothing out there captain, sensors cannot penetrate the nebula. Something is interfering with sensors. However..."
He was reminded of the piece of equipment he had examined earlier, and quickly went to retrieve it, and installed it into the conduits that led to the array. Then he returned to the controls and recalibrated them. "This should help, I hope," he murmured, as he concentrated.
Soon enough, the images cleared up, but there was still nothing there. "I do not understand," he continued his monologue, "that should have shown me what is out there."
The Vulcan sighed. "I am going to deflector control," he stated flatly, yanking the piece of equipment out again. "Stronger sensor, it must work. Thalin, when you have analysed my data, join me there. I may need your assistance with this." He held up the module, then walked out of engineering.
First, he passed by the shuttlebay, noticing Los was still examining the shuttle. "Commander, have you found anything? I have just cleared sensors for a moment, but found nothing in the nebula. I am now headed for deflector control, to see if I can boost the sensor signal. There must be something out there."
Intrigued, but puzzled, he turned and walked back out, then walked back in. "I have given Commander Zarath a data disk with useful information. Perhaps you could look at it as well, and confirm my data."
off: mr los, it'd be mightly helpful if you responded at some point...

"Commander, I have come to the conclusion that whatever struck us, is indeed a natural phenomenon by origin however I have discovered Romulan energy particles in said phenomenon. Therefor, the logical conclusion must be that the Romulans have devised a way to bend this phenomenon to their will. And use it at will, I might add." Kavrin took a step away from the shuttle, “Well that causes us even more problems, to last i checked the Romulan’s cloak does not work to well while in a high energy environment, like this nebula for example, that has been the trick security used to find their ships before now, which means they must have found a way to counteract that problem, so i guess Thalin had better come up with a new method for finding them” Kavrin listened again to the Vulcan engineer "I have discovered the same energy readings in this program, which I have had in my possession since coming aboard the Excalibur. "The first striking might be accidental, but the subsequent attacks were quite deliberate. What does have me puzzled, is that only the Human crew, and I am referring to those that are fully Human, were rendered unconscious. It is my belief that this phenomenon acts upon a certain frequency that disrupts the brainwave patterns of those Humans that are genetically full Human. Anyone with genes other than described, will only feel ill-effects or not be affected at all." Kavrin gave the ensign a look of complete confusion, most of what he had just said made little sense to him but he was happy enough that the chief engineer felt they were getting somewhere. “thank you Lieutenant, please keep me informed as best you can, if you need to go anywhere make usre you take a few security officers with you”. Kavrin watched as the Vulcan left and he returned to the shuttle, ‘how to find out where they were, well if it is Romulans, they like being sneaky so they would not get too close but yet would enjoy messing with our heads’.
Kavrin spent the best bit of an hour reading though the navigational sensors to determine the exact location of the shuttle, its tilt and how it reacted after each impact. Finally he attempted to reconstruct the events that lead to the damage the shuttle had taken, he was about to call the captain when the chief engineer walked in. "Commander, have you found anything? I have just cleared sensors for a moment, but found nothing in the nebula. I am now headed for deflector control, to see if I can boost the sensor signal. There must be something out there." Kavrin smiled “Well maybe this will be of use” Kavrin pointed at the two phasser rifles that were placed oddly around the shuttle bay, “this one here close to the shuttle was where the gun port that hit you for the second time was most likely. Now this is not very useful as i doubt they were normally there, they most likely had come in closer to ensure a kill” Kavrin knew this sounded nasty to the chief engineer who had been flying her when this happened but Romulans rarely came close and when they did it was to kill. Looking at the rifle that was only three paces away for the Vulcan Kavrin pointed to the rifle that was on the gantry on the far side of the remaining shuttles “that one was the first, and probably the most likely place that the ship will be, the shot was weakened due to a very dense amount of nebula in that area, so what better place to hide don’t you think Lieutenant?”
<Tag Savin>
Kavrin listened to the lieutenant’s response, “i could not tell you how big the ship was, only that it was definitely the same ship and that they were still moving quite fast when the second shot was fired, suggesting they were stationary when the first was fired, but i would not hold it to firmly as this nebula is not exactly a good place for a definite weapons tracking” Kavrin knew that the location was as accurate as it could be but there was always a chance the nebula might be amplifying the weapon if so the ship could be a lot further out. <Tag Savin>

Today is a very good day for finding out that someone in your family wasn't quite who you thought they were. I don't suppose you have any theories on that?" Laura started the genetic analysis as she spoke. Russell looked at the young woman “to my knowledge everyone in my family is human, well i have an great uncle who was a Vulcan but that was a different blood line to mine.” Russell hoped he was right because that gave the medical teams something to go on. As the scan continued Russell grew bored, he hated scans, even when training to be a medic, at least he was back on a star ship, though he wished that he could have a command again, just once more. Russell was about to fall asleep having not slept well the night before when the scanner began to beep, “So what is the result, am i indeed human or have i got some Vulcan blood in me?” Russell waited for the answer with a lot of hope.
<Tag Laura/Aly>
Russell was both excited that he was human, and concerned as to why he was safe. Could it be that time travel had affected him, or was it something in the future that had made him immune.

"To my knowledge everyone in my family is human, well i have an great uncle who was a Vulcan but that was a different blood line to mine.” Laura nodded at the Ensign's response and started the scan. She hoped it wouldn't take too long as Ensign Davis was obviously twitching to be elsewhere. The scanner beeped. “So what is the result, am i indeed human or have i got some Vulcan blood in me?”
Laura checked the results and then for good measure checked them again. "you are indeed 100% genetically human." She said. "Sadly that means more poking and prodding as we have to try to find out why of all the humans on this ship you are the only one who's still concious. I guess we shall start by going through your medical record and doing a detailed neurological exam. Have you ever suffered any neurological shocks or trauma?

Captain Alyana Ryat
Aly was disappointed when the sensors did not work and waved the CEO off to deflector control. She was feeling a little lost she was a Captain who was essentially without a crew and with a ship that was going no where at the moment. She was doing what she could but knew that the CEO, CSO and CScO were all more qualified for investigating than she was.
She yawned, she suddenly realised how long it had been since she had slept, she had been pulling a double shift even before they entered the nebula. She left orders with Ensign Thelev that she was to be disturbed immediately that there were any developments. She wanted to finish off the re-routeing of the comms system, she had finally figured out a way to stablise it. her eyelids continued to droop and eventually just as she hit the last of the commands she slid forward head on arms asleep.
She did not know how much time had passed when she was woken by someone shaking her arm.

"I would not want any junior officers where I am going, commander," Savin replied, almost tersely, "it is highly dangerous, and I would not want to risk someone new to his or her position. If anyone must accompany me, I would prefer it to be you." Where I could keep an eye on you, the Vulcan thought, following the Trill's gaze to the rifles. The statement in regards to them made absolutely no sense, especially not where the attack on his shuttle was concerned.
“that one was the first, and probably the most likely place that the ship will be, the shot was weakened due to a very dense amount of nebula in that area, so what better place to hide don’t you think Lieutenant?”
He had to think about that for a second, then nodded. "If the shot was weakened due to the nebula, then we are fortunate it was," he replied, "I will have to review my data and correlate for that factor. Perhaps we can determine how strong exactly that pulse was, and prepare a defense against it." He paused, switching the device from one hand to the other, examining it for a moment. "How big do you think the vessel was that fired on us? It could be a factor for the strength on the beam. And I need the data to be able to find that vessel."
“i could not tell you how big the ship was, only that it was definitely the same ship and that they were still moving quite fast when the second shot was fired, suggesting they were stationary when the first was fired, but i would not hold it to firmly as this nebula is not exactly a good place for a definite weapons tracking”
"And the shots that struck my shuttle were not as strong as the one that struck the Excalibur," Savin hyphothesised, "either that, or there is more than one vessel, or the nebula interferes, or it needs time to recharge."
This time he held up the device. "This will help us find the vessel. It is a Romulan sensor array, it will detect any vessels as it will boost our current signal." He took a deep breath, closing his eyes for a second. "I will need my medication soon. Please remind me when we start installing this, I may get carried away." There was, however, a drawback on using the device, which Savin refrained from mentioning to the security chief; it would also allow any Romulan vessel nearby, cloaked or otherwise, to detect the Excalibur as the vessel would be lit up on sensors like a light in a Christmas tree. He scowled under his breath, wondering whether Los actually wanted to find this weapon or not.
"Either way, I want to take a closer look at one of those vessels. I intend to find out and see first hand what almost got us killed, and what made all the Humans on this vessel lose consciousness. I am intrigued as to why we, the aliens here, did not become overcome by it." A little more than irritable at being held up from doing his job, Savin shoved the Trill security chief aside, using only one hand and his Vulcan strength. "Out of my way," he snapped, giving him another firm shove for good measure which landed the Trill against the damaged shuttle. The Vulcan walked away, without looking back and stalked out of the shuttlebay, still growling.

Aly was woken by someone shaking her arm."Uummmr, sir are you all right" She groan and opened her eyes to find herself nose to nose with a grey furred worried looking Caitian engineer, C'Lass if Aly remembered correctly. She forced herself to her feet.
"I'm fine. Has anything happened?" Aly asked as she scrubbed sleep from her eyes. She was trying to ascertain exactly how long she had been asleep for.
The Caitian blinked twice and then answered, she seemed very nervous. "I was just in the shuttle bay and well, Lieutenant Savin well he was upset and snappish. He shoved Commander Los and then went off somewhere. I know he can get a bit touchy if he hasn't eaten in a while but I've never seen him like this." Her words trailed off.
Aly swallowed wondering what was going on, if the CEO was being overcome by what ever this weapon was it would make things an awful lot more complicated. She was just about to trigger the comm and talk to Mr Savin when an image from her dream came back to her. A giant eye watching the Excalibur. A shiver ran down Aly's spine. Someone was out there watching them, she was sure of that. What unnerved her even more was the feeling that it was possible that there was someone watching them in here. A spy on the Excalibur had evented Aly's thoughts until that moment. Now that it had she couldn't shake it, it made a lot of sense.
"Thank-you Ensign." Aly said, her words sounded dull. She jabbed the comm.
"This is Captain Ryat to Commander Los, I need you to take this message in private Commander."

Aly switched to their native tongue, the translation system was off so no one was likely to understand what was being said. "I believe there is a Romulan spy on board."

An irritated expression on his face, the Vulcan chief engineer made his way into deflector control, dismissing the officer on duty with a curt nod. "I require silence, and privacy," he snapped, when the officer questioned his presence, "I cannot work if someone keeps bothering me. You are dismissed ensign. Immediately."
He glared at the ensign, not even realising that he was behaving erratically. When the youth left, he turned towards the sensor array, and yanked it out with one mighty pull, leaving the dents of his strong grip into the device. With a little more care, he installed the Romulan device, then rose to signal the bridge. "Bridge, you should have full sensor control now."
(tag anyone on the bridge)
"I have recalibrated the deflector," Savin explained, "I have also replaced the sensor array, it was damaged. I will take it to engineering to get it repaired." It truly was damaged, as he looked at it, noticing only now how harshly he'd treated it. Arching an eyebrow, he left deflector control, motioning for the ensign that he could return to his station.
Along the way, he flipped open his communicator. "Commander Zarath, any new leads where my data is concerned? If I am to properly do my duty as chief engineer, I would appreciate some co-operation," he snapped, then shut the communicator without awaiting reply.
Soon, he would need another insulin shot, but Savin felt he was too busy to go find a private space and tend to it. He had work to do, a ship to keep safe, and he'd be damned if he went to take time for personal care, when lives were at stake!

Russell Davis's POV
"you are indeed 100% genetically human." She said. "Sadly that means more poking and prodding as we have to try to find out why of all the humans on this ship you are the only one who's still concious. I guess we shall start by going through your medical record and doing a detailed neurological exam. Have you ever suffered any neurological shocks or trauma? Russell thought carfully, "I have not, i have been though a large electrical shock a couple of times but nothing more than anyone else would go though in their lives" Russell did not know how to word the fact that he had travelled though time and had been badly electrocuted when his ship had been tearing itself apart upon arriving in this century.
"Is there anything that you can see that sets me apart, i can't think of anything that has happened before now that could do that?" Russell knew h had to look guilty but he could not breach the temporal prime directive, not now if he could avoid it.
<Tag Laura>Kavrin Los POV This time he held up the device. "This will help us find the vessel. It is a Romulan sensor array, it will detect any vessels as it will boost our current signal." He took a deep breath, closing his eyes for a second. "I will need my medication soon. Please remind me when we start installing this, I may get carried away." Kavrin listened to the engineer, 'he seems to know allot about Romulan technology, beings as they are so elusive most of the time' Kavrin began thinking about how many ways the Romulans could cause issues to a ship on barely a quarter crew capacity when Savin spoke again "Either way, I want to take a closer look at one of those vessels. I intend to find out and see first hand what almost got us killed, and what made all the Humans on this vessel lose consciousness. I am intrigued as to why we, the aliens here, did not become overcome by it." A little more than irritable at being held up from doing his job, Savin shoved the Trill security chief aside, using only one hand and his Vulcan strength. "Out of my way," he snapped, giving him another firm shove for good measure which landed the Trill against the damaged shuttle. The Vulcan walked away, without looking back and stalked out of the shuttlebay, still growling. Kavrin was enraged, 'how dare this Lieutenant think he can shove me aside so easily. "Lieutenant, get back here right now!" Kavrin shouted though the door. Kavrin reached the door and looked into the corridor to find it empty 'that Vulcan is fast' Kavrin was about to call to the Captain when she called him "This is Captain Ryat to Commander Los, I need you to take this message in private Commander." Kavrin moved back into the shuttle bay and found the near by comm console and activated it "I am in the Shuttlebay now and i have disabled the translator down here so we can talk a bit more freely using Trill" Aly switched to their native tongue, the translation system was off so no one was likely to understand what was being said. "I believe there is a Romulan spy on board." Kavrin almost went into shock, 'A Romulan on board, where are a few phaser riffles when you need them' "That is a statement and a half Alyana" Kavrin was going to ask if she knew when where or how they were boarded but she spoke before he could "Also understand that you had a run in with Lieutenant Savin who was not acting like himself. What more can you tell me about that, do you know where he is now?" Kavrin considered this for a moment "He was much more aggressive then i would have expected for a Vulcan, too emotional. But he did say he needed to take his medication soon, maybe he is being affected or is more overdue than he thinks." Kavrin stopped and then had a worrying thought "Or what if we have not been boarded since we arrived in the nebula instead the Romulan spy was already on board, in disguise as our Chief Engineer? He is presently going to the sensors and if he is a spy he could make us blind, or worse give away our position. I am going after him, i will ensure he is in the brig either way, i just will not guarantee he will be in one piece" Kavrin knew his anger was coming though in his voice but either way this Lieutenant Savin was going into the brig either as a spy or as a officer who hit a superior one. <Tag Aly> Kavrin did not listen to the response from the captain as he ran out the door Kavrin knew what he needed and as he continued down the corridor he found more security officers along the way "Everyone, collect your weapons, we are going on a little hunt for a Romulan, disguised as our C E O, i want all weapons set to a high stun, if he resists it shot to kill" Kavrin watched as everyone present did not even bat an eye lid at the statement. with his phaser rifle in hand Kavrin began making his way to the deflector. <Tag Savin> {OOC: one very angry Trill heading your way Savin, i do feel sorry for you }
