Here goes nothing.
Albert stood uncomfortably rigid, acutely aware that the admiral might take exception to recent events that had – well, that had happened to Albert. He couldn’t call himself an active participant as such, as everything since he was taken ill on the starbase had happened in spite of what Albert had expected and wanted to happen during the last part of his Academy training. Whilst he was certain that Commanders Hope and Manto were already on somewhat less than amicable terms before he served as a catalyst for the incident in sickbay minutes before, he might be blamed for exacerbating the situation through his original uninformative responses to the science officer. Albert had a feeling that memory loss was almost as clichéd as being controlled by an alien entity. At the least the entire affair was a disruption to the teamwork aboard the starship, and a poor example for the trainees to boot.
The Academy never prepares you for the possibility that people simple won’t like one another on a starship. So much for the utopian unity of the Federation, when the ones who should be protecting it are bickering between themselves.
“Cadet.” The admiral had nodded benignly at him, and once again Albert realised that he was staring gormlessly back without replying.
“Sir! I, well, I look forward to my time on the Hanson.” A flash of intuition (or paranoia) told Albert the admiral knew what he had left unsaid. And I hope to God it goes more smoothly than today has gone so far.

"...time until arrival?" Konal asked the helm. It had been a few days since she was last on the bridge, mostly for personal reasons. She did not feel unfortunate, however, to be missing the series of drills the new Cadets were being subjected to. Alesia Currell had taken a shuttle back to the starbase for rehabilitation on her leg, and Konal was officially Cadetless starting a few days prior, giving her some personal time.
The Wilkes system could be seen on the viewscreen, when Cadet Jones responded.
<Shinsei / Jones>
"Thanks Cadet, I didn't need such a long winded response... just a time." Konal gave a little giggle. The Cadet was rather thorough, and that was commendable. Konal felt badly for saying what she said. She figured back-tracking now would make it awkward, and moved her attention to enhancing power to the forward sensor array, diverting power from the weapons systems--- having permission to do so, that is. In discussion earlier in the week with Lucy Kanz, (Konal finally remembered her name), and Commander Hope, it was deemed acceptable to take them offline on the initial approach. They were the least crucial system, especially in such a safe area such as the Wilkes system. It was that, or take the risk of entering the system when the star went nova... which was the nightmare Konal had the night before that she did not want see to come to fruition.
"Commander," Konal queried Daya, who was at the security station on the bridge. You and Hatchet get ready to disengage the weapons system as planned. We only need it to be off for 10 minutes... that should give us enough of a boost on our forward sensor array to detect a nova situation.
<Daya / Hatchet>
Konal turned to S'reena and Mr. Ireland.. of whom she still was embarrassed at her level of questioning back in sickbay.
Commander Hope, and Mr. Ireland contacted Colonel Methos at that time. With the weapons offline, he and his Cadet would be in charge of reacting to hostilities - even though they were unlikely.
<Hope / Ireland> <Methos / Viernes>
The bright red star got brighter as they moved in. It would still be another day before they were within range to do any meaningful tests, but Konal already had them set up and ready to go. For now, just making sure the star wasn't going to engulf them would have to do.
"Disengage the weapons systems, Mr. Hatchet." An audible drooping sound was made, signifying the deamplification of the phaser array.
"Shunting power to forward array." Konal made a few taps on her console. "We'll have our answer in about 10 minutes. Don't hold your breath everyone!" Konal said cheerfully. This kind of work was why Konal joined starfleet. This kind of work sure beat chasing a tribble around sickbay.

The last few days had been quiet and went relativly easy. Hatchet had been doing well with the drills Daya had set up, as well as the other cadet that had been involved with the drills. As of now, Daya was standing behind Paul at the security station watching him input the commands needed.
"Commander," Konal queried Daya, who was at the security station on the bridge. You and Hatchet get ready to disengage the weapons system as planned. We only need it to be off for 10 minutes... that should give us enough of a boost on our forward sensor array to detect a nova situation.

"Cadet, make sure we are able to get the weapons back on line if we need to, set up a few quick access routes we can use to power up the weapons, as well as keeping the power to the forward array. If needed we can take some power from nonessential systems."

"Cadet Ireland, after you are done gawking at Admiral Drew, and do please leave something left of him for others to look at, perhaps you could join me at the auxiliary tactical station?" S'reena cast Drew a bemused glance as Ireland hurried to join her. "Now that we are here on the bridge and it being fairly quiet, you might as well make yourself useful. There will be times in the future when you might be injured and still be called upon to do your duty because there may be no-one else to do it."
She pointed towards the station. "Now please tell me what you see, and report on what systems are on and offline."
(go on previous posts mr Ireland)
Meanwhile, out in the nebula, an as yet unknown and undetectable foe sped towards the Hanson. The bridge occupants bared their glittering white teeth at eachother when sensor readings confirmed earlier readings: the big white ship was defenseless with their weapons and shields down.
"Easy prey," one of them commented as he sniggered with glee.
"Easy prey," a second confirmed, echoing the other's sentiments while his long spidery fingers danced over his console as if it were a beloved musical instrument. "Targeting and locked," he reported.
"Confirm," answered a third at sensor, "firing weapons. Direct hit."
All three aliens cheered as they watched the Hanson spin backwards bow over stern as their continued weapons fire rammed into the defenseless hull.
Back on the Hanson, crew was sent flying as the ship was unsuspectedly attacked. On the bridge, cadets and bridge officers were thrown against the deck and then the ceiling in turn, before ending up in a heap of bodies back on the deck. "Report!" S'reena screamed over the red alert claxons, while helping Crystal back to her feet. "Ireland, Hatchet, Viernes!" she called off the security and marine cadets, "Daya, Methos! Report! Viernes and Methos get your marines together and report when you're ready to defend our crew. Hatchet, Daya, get shields back up! Priority system! Ireland, take weapon's control, pronto!"
She continued to yell out orders as she pushed Jones back into the navigation's seat. "Get the ship back under control cadet!" she snapped, as she clung onto the back of the seat as the ship was once more hit by a volley of the unknown weapon's array. "Drew!" she yelled out, having lost sight of her commanding officer.
At random she pointed at an instructor, finding Reynolds the closest to her. "Jason, find the admiral and make sure he is and stays safe." Then she tapped her combadge. "Konal report to sickbay! Expect casualties!" She knew the Cardassian had medical training, and as they were lacking a trained chief medical officer and surgeon, Konal would have to do. Michael was capable, but he was not trained to be a surgeon, nor chief medical officer.

As the deck shook violently Drew found himself being thrown to the floor. On impact he felt several bones break, and felt blood begin to pour down his forehead. Hissing with pain, he slowly pulled himself back up to survey the bridge.
It was a disaster. None of them had been expecting an attack; several fires had broken out along the back of the bridge, and the master situation station appeared to have been destroyed. Various crewmembers were still lying on the deck; Drew could tell that at least two of them were dead from the angles of their bodies.
“Repo….” Drew’s words were cut off as he felt the familiar grasp of a transporter beam claim him, “..rt” Drew finished, as seconds later he found himself in a dark small room.
Instantly, Drew tapped his comm badge; “Drew to Hanson.”
As he suspected, his only answer was static, a dampening field was obviously in place in his location. As his eyes started to adjust to the dark lighting, he looked round to gather his bearings. He was almost certainly aboard the ship that was attacking the Hanson, he could feel the trimmers in the deck plating as the ship rapidly moved; the shields were not up on the Hanson when they were attacked, it would have been a simple process to beam him off the bridge.
Suddenly he had to grasp a nearby rail for support, as the ship shook; he hoped that meant that the Hanson was now at least returning fire.
“If you release me; they will cease the attack,” Drew called out to his as yet unknown captors. He felt no need to reveal to his captors that he could order the Hanson to stop; to do so would only confirm for them his importance as a bargaining tool, if they did not already know.
As the ship continued to shake, Drew felt a surge of pride at the ability of his crew to recover so quickly from the surprise attack; now if they could just press home the attack and get him out of, all might yet turn out well.

Methos was finishing up his security sweep of the ship's systems when he was thrown through the air. He landed against the railing with a audible thud. He groaned as he stood up.
Commander Hope yelled, "Daya, Methos! Report! Viernes and Methos get your marines together and report when you're ready to defend our crew. Hatchet, Daya, get shields back up! Priority system! Ireland, take weapon's control, pronto!"
"Aye, ma'am," Methos replied. He was about to tap his commbadge when he saw that the Admiral was beamed off the ship.
"Daya, can you track where the Admiral was beamed to?" He asked.
While Daya was trying to locate the Admiral, Methos tapped his commbadge.
=/\=Methos to all personnel, General Quarters. This is not a drill. I repeat, this is not a Drill. General Quarters. Everyone report to your battle stations.=/\=
Methos went back to the station he was at and configured it to get the reports of when everyone was in postion.
Minutes later a squad of Marines came onto the Bridge. They were all carrying hand and rifle phasors. They all had an extra set. They began to hand the extra set to all of the bridge staff, cadets included.
After all teams reported that they were in postion, Methos said, "Commander, the ship is ready for defence."

Daya helped hatchet to his feet, and together they slowly found there way to the security station, Daya pushed a few buttons to get a quick report, then looked at Hatchet. "Get the shields up, and then do a lang range scan. We have to see who's hitting us" Daya moved over to the tactical station, where he starting tapping buttons with a flurry, as soon as the sheilds went up, Daya charged the weapons. "Commander, I have a weapons lock on the enemy ship, i cant identify the make of it though." Daya wasnt sure if he heard the words "fire" coming from the commander's mouth or not, but he started firing as soon as he could.
Daya looked at Methos and his marine cadet to see how they were fairing, "Daya, can you track where the Admiral was beamed to?" He asked. "i can try" Daya replied. "Hatchet, Get over here and continue firing on the enemy ship" Daya said, switching positions with his cadet. Taking a seat at the security station, Daya stopped momentarily looking at a dead crewmen, laying on the ground hext to him. Suddenly realizing that he himself was bleeding from his right eye. It seemed to Daya that time itself had slowed. He looked at his uniform and saw blood soaked into it. The security station had bloody hand prints from another cut on Daya's left arm.
Coming back to reality, Daya input commands into his console. "Found him!" Daya said, "but his signal is extremly weak, i think they are trying to disrupt our scans. Coordinates, 358 point 2." Daya looked up when the marines started passing out phaser's and rifles. Taking a rifle he set it down in his lap, and grabbed a phaser, attaching it to his belt. Methos said, "Commander, the ship is ready for defence."
"Commander, we' re losing the signal, I'm trying to keep up with the disruptions, but if we dont act fast i dont think we can get him back"

S'reena nodded towards Methos, casting him an approving glance as she heard him call the general quarters. She whirled to Daya in surprise when he mentioned losing a signal. "What signal?" she querried, her eyes hardening as something was beginning to dawn on her.
"Jason, have you located the admiral yet?" Reynolds shook his head in response, upon which she turned on her marine and security chief. "Where is Admiral Drew?"
Methos seemed uncomfortable when he confessed he saw Drew having been beamed off. "We're trying to find him," he tried to reassure his first officer.
"Try harder!" S'reena snapped, nursing her sore ribs. She was certain one or two had snapped during the bouncing about.
"Incoming missile!" Jason cried from OPS, "brace for impact!"
"Engineering get me shields!" S'reena yelled into her combadge, "and get them now!"
"Can't do," Kanz replied from engineering, "circuits are fried. I'm doing what I can commander, stand by."
Everyone was thrown off their feet when the projectile hit the unprotected training vessel. "You all know what to do!" S'reena cried as she crawled towards the command chair, "Daya, get me weapons fire at least! Instruct Ireland on how to get power back. I want weapons and I want them yesterday!"

Hatchet looked worried shaking like crazy "Daya i think i know away to get weapons back online but we are going to have to cut environmental controls and reroute it to our weapons other wise cut the life support from a few decks to to get max results for the weapons" he said looking around at Daya and S'reena hoping that they would agree or other wise have another plan.
he walked over to the console and waited for a response before he did anything he started to shake like crazy.

Crystal grabbed onto the console when the ship shook, but she let quickly let go, rather than risk damaging something. It meant she fell onto the bridge floor, but she didn't get injured and Commander Hope helped her back up. Crystal found her footing better, as the ship continued to rock from the attack, and moved close to Jones' console.
“Good thing we practiced this, eh?” she told him, trying to capitalize on her most valuable skill in an emergency, her ability to not panic. Crystal tried to be, at least, a calming effect, but it was hard, and being thrown from her feet a few times didn't help. “Evasive maneuvers,” Crystal instructed, trying to absorb what was going on between S'reena and other people on the bridge. “Be as safe and such as you can be, but closer to the ship seems to be better,” she advised. Crystal didn't let herself emotionally absorb the fact that Admiral Drew had just been kidnapped off the Hanson. She would have time for that later, after they'd gotten Drew back. For now, well, she was even better at focusing at work and shutting out emotions than she was at staying calm. It wasn't the best method of coping, but it was hers.

Daya whirled around on Hatchet when he was asked what systems to take power from, thinking quickly Daya gave him an hastey answer. "take power from the environmental controls of all docking bays, storage bays, and leave life support alone. If we need to we can reroute more power latter, just keep firing at that ship!" Daya yelled over the red alert sirens. Daya went back to his console, where he was still trying to keep a lock on the Admiral's signal.
"Commander, I have a lock on the ship, and on Admiral Drew, but he signal on the admiral is extremely weak. If we can get closer, not only could we get a stronger lock on the admiral, we could use photon torpedoes to a better degree."

"What ship!" S'reena answered, her frustration starting to show. It was just as well that she had left her children behind on Conqueror, for they would've been in grave danger, with the ship being knocked about by a foe they could not detect.
The Romulan stalked over to the operations console and roughly shoved Reynolds aside, not caring that she might be hurting his feelings. "I am not reading any ship, and if sensors aren't reading any ship, what makes you think he's on a ship? I'm not even reading his signal!" The signal that had been there, however weak, suddenly disappeared altogether.
"Find me what is out there commander," S'reena ordered, fixing her glare on the security chief, "and take that cadet of yours with you. Do whatever it takes. Ireland, status on weapons! I believe I said I wanted them yesterday...what's keeping you!"
She tapped her combadge. "Manto, prepare for casualties and send a medical team up to the bridge." She hissed as she made a sudden move and sank down in her chair, having gone pale in the face. It dawned on her that Drew was really gone, and that they had very little time to find him.
The nebula was looming close on the viewscreen. "Jones, set course into the nebula," she ordered, feeling confident that this was where they'd taken her commanding officer. "You had better be all right Drew," she whispered, "or I'll strangle you myself..."
(tag all.......cadets where are you! We need elaborate posts!)

S'reena had orderd him to find Admiral Drew, but he wasn't having any luck at all. It seemed that he had just disappeared into thin air. He knew that was impossible, but the only other explanation couldn't be proved. Col. Methos had reported seeing a transporter beam activate around Admiral Drew, but he couldn't see any ship on his sensors. He used all the tricks known to him and he could not find any vessel. When Commander Daya reported that he had found Admiral Drew's signal, Jason immediately looked at his sensors wondering why he didn't find the ship. The only problem, the ship's sensors didn't reveal and ship or Admiral Drew's location. If there was any ship in the viscinity it would be hidden in the nebula where ship sensors would have a hard time finding any vessel.
As S'reena gave out her orders, Jason realized how useless he was at the moment. He knew that a flag officer like Admiral Drew had intimate knowledge of Starfleet operations, something that would be very valueable. If there was a ship in the nebula he would need to work the Hanson like never before.

Aboard the alien ship…
A bright light shone in Drew’s eyes as he was forced to onto a table. He felt restraints moved around him, holding him firmly in place; then a strange device moved along his body, Drew wasn’t sure what it was doing, but suspected it was not a good thing. Seconds later, the device, and the restraints vanished. Someone pulled Drew back off from the table and led him away, back into the darkness…
Aboard the Hanson…
Security Office Jenny Rollins ran to her station as quickly as she could. She had been in her quarters when the attack had started, and had narrowly avoided being hit by a falling bookcase, now she was making her way to the auxiliary security office; where she would be able to monitor the ship for any signs of intruders.
As she hurried to her post, she caught bits and pieces of passing crewmembers conversations; from what she could gather it had been a surprised attack, no one knew who the attacker were, and the Admiral was missing; which in any situation was never a good thing.
Reaching her station, Jenny quickly logged her-self as present, and began scanning the ship, deck by deck. With the Hanson engaged in a tactical situation, it was entirely possible that the shields may collapse at any moment. Making it possible for the enemy to beam anything aboard the ship, it was Jenny’s job to detect any such beam in, and respond to it.
As she scanned the ship, she was relieved to find that there was nothing unusual aboard the ship, and that the life signs matched the crew total, minus the Admiral of course. Suddenly, as the ship shook violently again, her console beeped urgently at her, alerting her to an intruder beam in.
Jenny immediately keyed in commands on her console, and brought up a view of the area where the beam had taken place; she was shocked at what she saw.
“Rollins to bridge, Admiral Drew has just beamed into cargo bay two.”
<tag bridge officers and cadets; respond to the situation – Ireland get down to Drew’s location, with a full medical team, Hatchet, continue at the tactical station.
My intention is for the returned Drew to be a clone, who is going to cause havoc aboard the ship, so post him reacting oddly and seemingly out of character, basically being rather short with people, argumentative and secretive>

"Yes sir rerouting power from the docking bays and storage bays, sir weapons are back up to 90% shields are down to 30% sir. Hatchet looked out the view screen and saw chaos he was wondering ~how in the hell are we goin to get out of this.~
He heard beeping from his console he blinked and looked down "Sir I have an incoming message from Cargo bay two they say Admiral Drew is on his way to the bridge to assess the the situation and damage." he looked around at the senior staff waiting for a acknowledgment.
He heard beeping again he looked down and saw another message "Sir i have another incoming message this time its from the med teams they say Admiral Drew is ok but hes acting weird being argumentative and well out of character i suggest we get a unarmed security team up here right way."
He looked at Daya and S'reena as he had his hand on his console waiting to call up a security team just in case something happened. He fell silent looking nervous around at the bridge crew not knowing what to expect. ~I wonder how we are going to get out of this situation i dont know what to expect~ Paul thought

"Aye Aye, Commander." Konal said as she made her way to sickbay, assembling doctors. While almost everyone in main sickbay as more experienced medically, she was clearly more experienced as an officer --- and in life in general. The white hair and slightly wrinkled neck ridges were testament to that.
~/\~ Commander Manto, Incoming transmission. ~/\~ the computer barked.
"Who is it?"
~/\~ Commander Nack - USS Victory ~/\~
"Negative - we have a bit of a situation going on right now." She didn't even know a Commander Nack anyways. What could he possibly want?
Sickbay was getting many requests for assistance with plasma burns in main engineering, and Konal was busy doing on-the-spot logistics, coordinating who would go where.
"I really wish Dr. Brelev was here - I really am not cut out for this," the Commander said out loud. Others also stated their wish for the former CMO to return, which didn't upset Konal in the least. The Denobulan was well liked. At this moment, however, business was business. Like it or not, here she was, and here she would stay.
The ship jolted, signaling a failure in the dampers again. Konal accessed a console to try to get them working, but it was tougher than she thought. With only doctors, nurses, and wounded around, she was on her own. Stopping every now and again to redirect the medical teams to the next site of incident, the Cardassian made her best attempts to get the dampers back to full power.

"Not a team," S'reena replied, glancing sternly at the tactical instructor. "Daya take Cadet Hatchet with you and confront Admiral Drew. Ask him very nicely to allow himself to be escorted to his quarters. Hatchet, you are in charge of this, while your instructor will mainly observe how you handle this situation. I don't want Drew harmed in any way, but if you do have to subdue him, you are not to hesitate in doing so. The safety of this crew comes first." She gazed directly at the uncomfortable cadet. "You can do this Mr Hatchet," she encouraged him, "this is also what you are being trained for. Sometimes commanding officers can become very irrational, especially after having suffered an abduction. Page me when you have escorted Drew to his quarters, I'll want Manto to have a look at him when you've paged me." (Hatchet, write something about confronting Drew, remember what we spoke of yesterday When Daya and Hatchet had left the bridge, she turned to Ireland. "Can you trace where that transporter signal came from? We can't get any visual on any vessel, though Daya seems certain there is a vessel out there." (Ireland) After giving Ireland his orders, she turned to Crystal and Jones. "Keep executing evasive maneuvres, make sure that whatever's out there can't get a lock on us." (Jones)

as Hatchet and Daya headed to confront admiral drew, Hatchet thought ~I wonder if Drew just a little confused from the abduction.~
Hatchet and Daya found Drew "Admiral Drew i am Cadet Hatchet i believe you know my instructor Mr. Daya. We have orders to escort you to the guest quarters will you please follow me." he asked
As they got to the quarters Hatchet said "Here are you quarters i am goin to be right out side the door if you need anything, and in case you are wondering no you cant go to the bridge right now due to our current situation after words its all captains prerogative, now if you will excuse me." He turned and left ~so far he hasnt fought with me~ he thought to him self
he tapped his comm badge =/\= hatchet to S'reena hes in his quarters i am posted out side his door =/\= he said
"Acknowledged," S'reena replied from the bridge, "I want you to attempt to interview the admiral until Commander Manto arrives. Understood? Lieutenant Commander Daya is again to observe and report to me on your progress."
On the bridge, S'reena tapped her combadge. "Commander Manto report to Admiral Drew's quarters. We have a situation."

Drew was surprised when he was stopped by Hatchet and Daya; even more so when they asked him to go with them to his quarters. He briefly considered challenging them, but soon realised that for now it would be easier to do as they asked; he would be able to follow through with his plans once he was alone in his quarters.
Sure enough a few minutes later the two security officers left him alone in his quarters, with Cadet Hatchet standing guard outside. As soon as the door had closed, Drew approached the computer console that he kept on his desk, for his plan to be successful, he needed to ensure certain things.
The first of which was to check if his command codes were still accepted; he had only been missing for a few minutes, and in all the confusion it was entirely possible that S’reena had not yet had the opportunity to inform the computer to disable his codes, as was standard procedure when a senior officer was MIA.
Unfortunately when he tried to enter his codes the computer blocked him, it seemed that S’reena had indeed disabled his codes. Still, there was more than one way to stuff a turkey, after a career spanning decades, Drew knew his way around a Starfleet security system. He knew his actions would trigger an alarm on the bridge, but by then he would hopefully already be one step ahead.
Pulling back one of the panels near the replicator, he started to realign some of the network circuitry. After a few moments of work, he had gained access to the site to site transporter controls.
Programming his next destination, he smiled to himself as he imagined the panic that would soon break out. He knew full well that S’reena and the security officers would try to stop him, but he also knew that they would fail.
“Let the chase begin,” he whispered, as the transporter beam claimed him.
<if I were you Hatchet, I would head to Main Engineering, Upper level.>

S'reena drummed her fingers on the armrest of her seat, pondering the current happenings. They were still under attack from their unseen foe and it frustrated her to no end that sendors couldn't get a reading but it was even more infuriating that even the main viewscreen didn't put any image on visible. Then again, they were fed by sensors, so if sensors didn't see anything...
"Jones and Shinsei, prep a shuttle and prepare to head out there. I want you to take a good look out the window and report on what you see." She tapped her combadge. "Major Methos, report to shuttlebay one. Our navigators are going on a little trip and they need some personal protection."
(Jones)
She turned around to look up at Reynolds, who had joined Ireland at the tactical station. "I want you two to figure out a way to get that whatever attacks us on viewers. I don't care how you do it, just do it....yesterday!"
(Ireland)
Once she saw her orders being obeyed, she continued drumming her fingers again. Hatchet and Daya had headed to engineering bt why? What was so strange about Drew beaming from his quarters to engineering? Sure, it was rather unconventional, and under the circumstances a little unorthodox at best. But could she blame him? He was unceremoniously dragged off to his quarters, on her orders, despite her explicit orders to ask him kindly.
"Hatchet, observe what Drew is doing in engineering but don't interfere. Just keep an eye on him and make certain he doesn't do anything against regulations. He's just been returned from an abrupt kidnapping, we don't know what he's been subjected to. Wait for Kona, I'm sending her to your location. Keep Drew in engineering if you can, but don't interfere with him unless it endangers this ship. Do you understand?"
(Hatchet)
Once more, S'reena tapped her combadge. "Konal, this is S'reena. Redirect from orders. Drew's gone to engineering, meet Hatchet there and observe Drew's behaviour."

~I just hope i dont have to use my phaser he may court martial me once hes back to normal.~ he thought.
he tapped his com badge =/\= Konal this is hatchet where are you Drews tryin to shut off the warp d argh...=/\= came Hatchet's voice over the comm then there was silence nothing over the comm with the exception of Daya yelling and phasers firing.

"... I have to go! You two are despicable."
Konal closed the channel. She was terribly late making it to the Admiral's quarters, all because of some vegetable futures. She would have to set everyone straight later on the in-feasibilities of farming vegetables in the modern universe.
She arrived hastily. For a middle aged woman, she was rather quick, however she was also out of breath. She took a breath before entering. No security was at the door - and as the door chime went off, Commander Hope redirected her to Main Engineering.
=/\= On ...=/\= *pant* =/\= my way. =/\=
Konal arrived in main engineering to find Admiral Drew, and Cadet Hatchet... Hatchet in mid communique trying to tell her to get there.
"I'm here I'm here!" she yelled, as Admiral Drew dramatically pulled a manual lever to disengage the warp drive, and Daya fired a phaser set on stun.
"Hold your fire, Commander!" Konal yelled angrily. Security types had no respect for the intricacies of a warp drive, nor did they respect of the fact that any stray antimatter could be annihilate by a simple phaser fire.
"I have no experience in psychology! Konal yelled, but I'm here... and I do have experience in warp technology... so no more phasers for right now... especially with the Admiral monkeying with the drive". Admiral Drew continued, as if oblivious to anything that didn't try to stop him from his little mission, whatever it may be.
Cadet Hatchet, had an altogether difficult quandary. The right thing to do, clearly, was to stop the Admiral... however, as a Cadet, Hatchet didn't feel too empowered without an officer telling him to do so. Konal, although Cardassian, was too old to take on the young Admiral, and thus gave the direction for the security cadet to give it a go.
Hatched didn't move, explaining Commander Hope's orders to observe- except if it is against regulations.
"I say this is against regulations. You can quote me on that! Now, stop him!"
Hatched drew his weapon.
"NO PHASERS!"
Replacing it, he and Daya surrounded the Admiral, and gave their best attempt at capturing him. The Admiral, however, seemed to finish his work at that time. He held his combadge in a funny matter, and immediately beamed away.
=/\= Computer, Locate Admiral Drew =/\=

OOC: A young Admiral! I love it! Remind me to promote you Konal, and S’reena take note!
ON:
In Engineering Drew worked quickly, he knew that it would be easy enough for security to track his movements, but if he remind a few minutes ahead of them he would be able to finish task.
Accessing the warp controls on the upper level he began to disrupt the warp field, as he was keying in the final commands, Daya and Hatchet both appeared, phasers in hand.
Impressed, Drew stopped briefly and looked up at them, he had not been expecting them to respond so quickly. The trio stared at each other for a few moments, and then Drew realised they were not actually making any moves to stop him. Smiling to himself he returned to his task.
There was a sudden commotion where Daya fired his phaser and Konal charged into Engineering, ordering a cease fire. While the officers debated what to do next, Drew completed his task. Too late Konal decided enough was enough and gave the order to stop him, but Drew was already finished, as the transporter beam claimed him, he could not help but laugh.
Re-appearing in the ready room, Drew walked round to behind his desk and pushed back a hidden panel in the wall; concealed behind it was a small safe that contained a phaser. The computer would not allow him to access the weapon lockers without his access codes, but this was an old fashioned safe, with a manual locking mechanism.
Attaching the phaser to his belt, he headed for the door leading to the bridge; there was just one last task to do, then his mission would be complete.
“Admiral?” S’reena said in shock, rising from her chair as Drew entered the bridge, “what’s going on? How did you get there?”
“I’ll explain everything later,” Drew replied, grabbing S’reena and pointing the phaser in her back. The other officers looked around in alarm as Drew started to led S’reena off the bridge, when one of them did eventually think to grab a phaser Drew shook his head.
“My phaser will hit her before yours hits me,” he said as he entered the turbolift, “and at this range, even a stun setting will kill.”
As the doors closed, Drew pressed the comm badge he carried, and another transporter beam took hold of him, this time taking S’reena along for the ride.
<hint: shuttlebay – you can start to discover the truth now, that Drew is a clone>
