Matt was by himself working hard trying to adjust the ship to the dark cloud's atmostphere. Admiral Loskene had not given him much time to figure out the problem.
"Damn," Matt said as he nursed his finger. The spare hull plate had just sparked and caught his finger. Matt just turned around and opened the bottom console door. He took out the med pack and healed his finger. After taking this small break he went back to work.
Two hours later
=^= Daya to Commander Reynolds=^=
=^= Go ahead=^=
=^= I've analyzed most of the data, and things seem to be in good order=^=
=^= Thats good to hear=^=
=^= Theres more, does it seem like your getting more done faster? or is it just me?=^=
Matt instinctly moved his head to see the chronometer and he was surprised to see that it read 1845 hours. That couldn't be right, he had been working for about two hours, already late for Admiral Loskene's report.
=^=It seems so Lt. I want you to report to the bridge, I will be there in a few minutes=^=
=^=Aye sir=^= This was unusual, but Matt didn't think much about it. He was already done with the adjustments to the ship and his science team would be able to apply the adjustments in a mear two hours.
Matt quickly made his way towards the bridge and as he entered he quickly relieved Commander Johnson. Matt looked at the chronomter and was shocked to see that it read 1846. There was no way that he could of made it to the bridge in one minute.
=^=Sickbay this is Commander Reynolds what time is your chronometer reading=^=
=^=1900 sir=^=
=^=Thank you Doctor=^=
This did not make sense, time seemed to be displaced everywhere on the ship.
"Lt. Quindara give me shipwide," Matt ordered of his second.
"Shipwide ready sir," Nicole said.
"All departments report the time your department is showing," Matt said realizing that his order sounded strange.
"Sir we've got their times, none of them are the same," Nicole reported. At that exact moment the Admiral walked into the bridge from his ready room and Commander Matthews from the turbolift.

Jeff abruptly spilled out of the Turbolift, quite panicked.
"Ensign?" the Admiral Looked at him.
"Sir, time is going backwards in engineering systems, and their status is going with it. Our deflector is operating as logged for a few hours ago, and warp engines are acting as if they were on, and drwing the same power. I had to install an energy release- I would reroute it, but I cna't do that with power flowing through the circuts."
"bottom line?"
"Eventually we'ere going to hit status of when we were in spacedock, with no functioning shields, no functioning power and no chance."
"Anything you can do?" Commander Mathew asked, panicked some himself.
"I tried modifying the files in the computer to reflect input from sensors- establishing a link to modify the operating time entry with what is present in real time. it would have screwed up our records, but stopped the time from having any real danger."
"Any sucess?" Loskine asked.
"No. The computer will not let anybody overwrite data. It doesn't normally do that. It should have worked, but... something has been screwing around with it."
"Any idea what?"
"I think it's somehow realted to that thing. I think it's trying to destroy us."

"The Jefferson was launched in '86. That was five years ago. I don't think we have to worry about being in that state for a while yet." said Johnson to the frantic young ensign.

"But when we were last docked, we were on umbilical power support- the only power from the Jefforson Came from the batteries- I was inside the warp core, cleaning the thing. others were reworking the Impulse power." Jeff responded. "The ship was there for well over a week- and that means a week we sit out here exposed. I predict perhaps a day, from our current status."
"A day of what?" Johnson asked the engineer, who had straightened out his uniform and composure.
"One day of power if we're lucky. After that, the ship expects power from the outside."
"Can we do that?"
"not without a spare warp core feeding.... The shuttlecraft! Use them as batteries for a while!"

Loskene turned around and glared at the officers debating over the situation.
Loskene: Would everyone please be quiet for a moment?
Everyone stopped talking, as the admiral turned around to face the warp core.
Loskene: Only a day's worth of power left... If we turn back now, it won't be too late. I won't risk the safety of the ship and crew for some science experiment. It's...ridiculous. Starfleet should have sent a science vessel out here. Perhaps they'd have more luck with an actual science vessel. Hell, we should be out there defending the Federation.
The officers continued to listen to Loskene's ranting.
Matthew: Sir... is everything all right?
Loskene turned around and regained his composure.
Loskene: Hm...? Oh, yes.. Yes, I'm fine. Yes, Mr. Pudlo, of course. The shuttle bays are at your disposal. I'm going to inform Starfleet of our situation. It doesn't seem that we are in danger yet, but we have no idea what we are dealing with yet. We will hold position here. We'll try to get things under control, and try to figure out just what is happening. I'll be in my ready room. Keep my appraised of your progress.
Loskene left for the turbolift. He could feel something was wrong. What he couldn't figure out his irrationality. Lately he had noticed that he was irritable, somewhat tired and had trouble concentrating. Loskene could only surmise that the dilemma they were in the middle of was causing it. For all he knew, the problem could be affecting the crew as well as the ship. Healer T'Val would need to be alerted to it. The turbolift door opened and Loskene stepped out. But something was wrong... He didn't arrive on the bridge, but rather he had entered into a strange desert-like area. He looked around and could only see white sands and a large, burning hot sun in the sky. He looked around in awe.
<OOC: No one panic, just keep going about ship operations. (But Loskene really has disappeared) I'll write more later.>

Jeff went up to his staion and started getting things ready. They didn't need the shuttles to be outside the ship, all they needed was for the power to come from where the ship expected it to come from.
"Suttlebay 1, This is the bridge."
"Shuttle technitian O'neally here sir."
"I have an unusual request: I need you to remove the warp cores and antimatter pods from every shuttle."
"All of them?"
"Even the ones in crates in the storage room. They need to be in Exterior powerflow control room 1 in..." Jeff looked at his old pocketwatch, which using a winding mechanisim was still working perfecally. never mind it was a fancy one that wound when you moved it, it was purly mechanical. governed only by the laws of phisics, not the laws of time. it just moved at the right rate for that... Old technoligy was sometimes the best. "3 hours. If you can't trust the clocks, replicate a purly mechanical one- nothing electric- kinetic power only."
"Aye sir." Came the glum reply.
Jeff swiched off the channel, and repeated the call to shuttlebay 2.
Then he headed to the Umbilical control rooms to prepare.

( Below Decks Joint post )
MD: 4.1910 Scene: JEFFERSON– Ten Forward
“Sorry to interrupt your dinner sir, Ensign Tamiro Kazihiro reporting for duty as Ordered”
Michael put his fork down and looked over the man. “I take it you’ve gone over the security checks with Lt. Nike?”
Tamiro stood ridged as a board and nodded his head “Yes sir.” Michael nodded and picked up his fork again “Good, now stand at ease before you pull something.” The ensign looked at him a little put-back by the remark, but relaxed. “sit down man, order something to eat or drink.” Thank you sir, but I’m not…” Michael didn’t let Tamiro finish the sentence. “Derris, bring the kid something to eat and drink.” ‘Derris’ looked up from his counter to see exactly who was shouting at him. “Was that you Mike?
Sure, I’ll bring him something.” The edge to Derrick’s voice hinted that he had a surprise for Tamiro. “Better buck-up there; knowing Derrick he’s got a mean dish for ye.” Derrick arrived with a tray of what could only be described as horrific. It looked like something a Klingon would eat.
Then in front of the dish he plopped down a glass and filled it a third full of an amber colored liquid. Tamiro half expected it to bubble and fizz as a witch’s brew would. “Bon chance lad. Now, did you bring the PADD with your transfer orders?" Yes sir”
“Dinner Bell ”
Scene: Mess Hall
Everything was finished. Derrick was proud of himself, “and so I should” he thought. He managed a 4 course dinner for the entire Crew, all with vastly different tastes. Terran, Andorian” Barolian” Lysian and more …
Chef Derrick was happy. Everything had gone off without the slightest problem. The appetizers were perfect, the main course will be unexpected, the salad will be excellent and the desert will be memorable.”
He wouldn’t tell Michael what he had managed to cook up, and he knew that it was driving him crazy. Derrick had just finished the last little bit of directing as the room set up was being finished.
“Three bottles of wine spaced out down the table, dishes, cutlery, goblets, etc… Everything was ready. Now if some of the senior staff would just show up.

"Well, Ensign Allen, engineering is a little short and they have requested a little help so I need for one of you to transfer over to a new department it will only be for a short time Don’t give me that look someone has to do it," Lt. Dorman said as Ensign Allen looked at him and furrowed his brows.
"What Department is that sir?" Allen replied.
"Engineering Department: Engineering Administrative Support Staff, so, get ready, you're getting some administrative experience."
"The Engineering Department, sir?" Allen replied.
"Yes, Ensign, the Engineering Department, so, you do have a little side office, and I'm telling you when I say little, I mean little, off of my office.
You may go up and get settled in if you like," Dorman replied. "But whenever you do, I have some work waiting for you on your desk, it has to do with evaluation of worker performance, and I don't need it for the next two weeks, but it has to be done sometime."
"Uh, yes sir," Allen said as he walked off, feeling a little disappointed, but definitely up to the challenge. He would earn his way up the ranks as fast as he could, looking to be the Chief Engineer soon.
“He had already proven his technical skills with his Engineering tests at the Academy, and with the experience he had on his previous assignment. So hopefully, this admin job would help him prove his managing skills. He sat down at his desk and started on the little work.

Jeff had just finished Setting up the layout- where the tanks would go, how the powerflow would be mangaed, where the lines would be laid, everything. tahnkfully they were swirl chamber cores, not injector cores with material from both the top and bottom. He and his team had finished setting up a small platform underwhich tanks would be placed- Those would be installed first, and the matter storage was already chnneled in. Now they were waithing for the anti matter.
It seemed like the minute they finished, a maintianace technition came in with a anti-gravity pallet carrying the first fo the tanks. He looked understandbly nervious. "There's more on the way sir, but this is what we have right now."
Jeff nodded. "Thank you. We'll unload this so you cna take the pallet back." The picked up the canisters, and lacking any other place to put them, snapped them into place under the platform.

MD: 05 MT: 0645 Scene: DECK 11 Stellar Cartography Lab = = = = = = = = = = = = = =
(Cdr Matthew thinking to him self as he was walking toward Stellar Cartography )
I try to spend a little time as Possible in Stellar Cartography Dr Morris is a Brilliant Scientist but he a bit of a wind bag ?
“He go‘s on & on just Like my 2nd year professor at the Academy by the end of his class most of the cadets was a sleep and the other need Life support "
Cdr Matthew Enter the Lab ‘
“Matthew asked> Doctor Morris have you had a chance to look over the Data I sent you”
Suddenly the noise Lab was Quiet everyone just stared at each other.
Dr Morris > yes commander For the past half hour my staff has been throwing ideas around about your black cloud ; most of which were either pretty pathetic or next to impossible and a kin to suicide. At least that was Dr, Morris not so humble opinion of them.
"Yeah, so far we've been running six scenarios on the computer only using the data you sent"
“A junior officer said Maybe we could use an asteroids belt." Perez chimed in.
"The only difficulty with that is the fact that if we hid in an Asteroid belt we would have to contend with the fact that we'd have debris pounding on the shields.
Dr’ Morris turned around and called up the information on the sector. According to Stellar Cartography records for this sector ‘
“Dr Morris Reading the information, there was 3 asteroid belts in this systems there are only Two now the one that missing was in direct path of the black cloud three months ago .
Dr Morris> "How about these?" he asked calling them up on the display.
Cdr Matthew wandered over and read some of the information.
"This one seems interesting." he said placing only that one up.
"Cdr Matthew> We are not looking for interesting. We are looking for tactical advantages.
"Dr’Morris > Yeah, I know. This system is great for us to do research because of the asteroid belts, it has two planets with a high metal content.
We could mask the Jefferson's from the black Cloud if need”
Dr’ Morris raised his eyebrows. That seemed reasonable assumption and that did mean the Jefferson's sensors would have trouble picking up the Black Cloud as do to the high metal content of the Asteroids
Dr ‘Morris > commander do you wont me bring you my finding ‘
"Cdr Matthew> Nope. I need some sleep. Honestly you guys are making some good progress. Make some different plans as well to do as back up. Also, finish up the small details I’ll come back later"
They all nodded and went back to their Computers as he left. he paused outside the door and took a deep breath. he might get into some trouble but at least he hadn't stepped to far out of bounds. Letting his breath go, Cdr Matthew headed to his quarters and at least for Three hours of sleep he hoped.

Matt was utterly perplexed at the situation with the power flow. If Ensign Pudlo's reports were correct they would loose all power in a day. The Jefferson was not a brand new ship, but it wasn't old either. The life a soverign was longer than any ship in the fleet, so that led Matt to believe that the problem was the cloud.
The beautiful, mysterious, black cloud that was causing this. Time disterion was happening all over the ship, Matt had just checked again and there were now 50 diffenent times around the ship.
"Computer what could be causing these problems," Matt asked realizing that the computer couldnt' answer his question, but the computer didn't respond.
"Computer respond," Matt said again, but nothing happened. "We don't need this now." Matt said in frustration. This couldn't get any worse.
Then at the exact moment he thought that the lights on the bridge went out. There was no power on the bridge and the darkness engulfed eveyone.
"Is everyone okay?" Matt asked of the bridge crew.
"Here Commander," everyone responded.
"Why hasn't the back-up power come back on?" Matt asked to no one in particular. There was no response from the crew. Matt took the flashlight that was under the Captain's chair and activated it. Once he did the power on the bridge came back on-line.
"Get me engineering," Matt said to the engineer on the bridge.
"Engineering here," Pudlo said.
"Ensign what happened to the power,?" Matt asked.
<Tag Pudlo>
What it didn't make sense, Engineering didn't report any power cut-off on the bridge. Thier sensors showed everything running normally, but Matt knew that wasn't the case. All power to the Bridge had somehow been cut-off.
Matt got off his the captain's chair and walked up to his station and started an extensive scan on bridge systems.

"To tell you the truth sir, I just don't know. I've been checking a mechanical watch against the computer, and it seems to have sppeded up- the time I mean. It's runnig at about 1.5 times the speed it was before." He paused. "I think that's the problem. one day was it seems, more time then we had."
Jeff closed the channel, and turned to the room. The cores had arrived, and they were ready to be started up- but they usually needed the computer to do that. not tomention they were going to start up 25 small cores in each control room, not one large one. "Engineering, I need one person up here for every core- I need fifteen more people to work manuual controls."
when Everbody else was up, Jeff told every one to make sure they were in full control of their control panel. "Intermix ration 1:1, startup flow to 1/3 of core compacity. flood cores with magetic seperation in place on my mark. Ready, mark." The cores filled, but didn't start up yet. "magnetic shutoff in 5...4...3..2..1... Now." And simultainiously, the light from 25 shuttle warpcores lit the room.
"Bridge, This is Pudlo. We have power- The bridge and Warp control rooms will recive priority power."

"Counselor?" T'Val called, as she walked through the office. However, there was no sign of the new counselor, yet it was evident that he'd been there earlier, because the mug containing coffee was still steaming.
T'Val turned on her heels and raced back to the bridge as fast as she could, short of requesting a site to site transport. "Admiral!" she called, storming onto the bridge in a very unVulcan-like manner. She stopped short as she noticed that Admiral Loskene wasn't present on the bridge. Instead, she turned to Matthew and Daya. "Counselor Lobel is missing," she reported, "I know he was in his office when I came in, but when I entered the office further, he seemed to have vanished. All evidence of his presence is a still hot mug of coffee."

T'Val kneeled beside the injured ensign, while watching Daya leave the bridge from the corner of her eyes. "She has suffered severe burns to her hands and face," she reported, "and she is in shock. I will have her beamed to sickbay."
The Vulcan healer tapped her combadge, spoke quietly into it and the ensign disappeared. "Rayna will take care of her and report back to you when she is out of danger. Now, if you will excuse me, I will have to attend to that medical emergency you have just called." She packed up her medical kit, and left for deck 9 junction 234. Once she got there, she spotted the three injured crewmembers.
All three were covered with plasma burns, and T'Val was pleased to note that her emergency team was working efficiently. The only conscious crewmember was moaning, so they left him alone for now, attending to the two unconscious crewmembers. Once she reached them, the team noticed her, uttered a greeting and then beamd out, leaving the conscious crewmember behind to be tended to by T'Val.
"What happened?" she asked the crewmember, "what is your name?" T'Val knelt before the crewman to get his attention. "Corporal, what is your name?" she repeated, noticing his rank stripes. This man wasn't a regular crewmember, he was a MACO. ~I did not know the Jefferson had MACO's~ she thought.
The corporal didn't respond, but did gaze at T'Val with wide eyes, which showed his fear. He was gasping for breath, and it was clear that he was in pain.
"T'Val to transporterroom, site to site transport directly to sickbay, two persons." She experienced the slight discomfort of being transported, and then they both appeared in sickbay. The corporal was taken over by her medical staff, and gently placed on a biobed.
Rayna walked up to T'Val. "One of the two you had beamed in earlier didn't survive her injuries," she reported. Her tunic was splattered with red blood. "I did everything I could, I even had doctor K'Nar assist me." She nodded over to the Klingon assistant CMO, who was also a civillian doctor. "We couldn't save her. I didn't even know her name."
"Take a break Rayna," T'Val suggested, "you have earned it. I know you have done everything you could. Had I thought you would not, then I would never have employed you here in my sickbay."
Rayna nodded and walked out of sickbay.
T'Val tapped her combadge. "Sickbay to bridge. Sir, we have the three crewmembers, but sadly the female has died. Her two male companions will live. Ensign Price is out of danger." She turned sharply when she heard one of the nurses scream. Where Doctor K'Nar had been standing a second ago, his spot was now eerily empty. "Uhm, sir? Doctor K'Nar can be added to our missing crewmember list. He just disappeared right out of sickbay when he was on his way to the office."

There was chaos on the bridge, Matt was trying to fight off the fires that had started at his ops station. Ensign Price flew from her station, but was lucky that Commander Matthews was so quick in his aid. If it wasn't for him Matt was sure that Emily would of died then and there.
"Commander I'm reading more energy surges thought out the ship."
"Decks 6, 8, 12, 17, and 19 reporting power surges" The explosions that followed caused the entire ship to rock violently, which made Matt fall the floor and hit his head on the science console. The news was getting worse every seconds.
"What is going on?" Matt muttered to himself in frustration as he got back up and felt the blood on his forehead.
"Sickbay to bridge. Sir, we have the three crew-members, but sadly the female has died. Her two male companions will live. Ensign Price is out of danger."
Matt gave a sigh of relief, in all this chaos came some good news for him. Of course he was saddened to hear that the unnamed female was dead, but she was not in his department.
"Uhm, sir? Doctor K'Nar can be added to our missing crew member list. He just disappeared right out of sickbay when he was on his way to the office."
Matt unfortunately was in charge of adding the missing crew members name to the list, which now consisted of 24 crewman. The person on top of the list was Admiral Loskene, who seemed to be the first to disappear.
"Self-destruct in ten seconds" The entire bridge froze as every person's head looked at the self-control panel. Commander Matthews quickly gave his command to stop it and Matt gave his as the next in command.
"Code invalid, Self-destruct in 5-4-3-2-1-." Matt expected to be dead, but nothing came. After the computer ended the countdown nothing happened. It was as if nothing had occurred.
"What just happened?" Commander Matthews asked of Matt.
"Sir, I have no idea, something is messing with our systems," Matt said and the next second the tactical console on the bridge exploded making four people fly into the air. The ensign that was working at the station flew until he was at Matt's feet. Matt didn't even have feel for a pulse, he already knew that he was dead. So Matt ran to wards the others who, had a chance.
"Bridge to Sickbay, we have more medical emergencies on the bridge," Matt said realizing that at the moment Commander Matthews could not as he was helping out the injured already.

Jeff rushed to the Bridge, Stopping only breifly to tie in control of the power to the bridge console.
Working at his station, he opened a power flow veiw of the ship- it showed the main flow patternes in the ship, and how much power was in them. He also called up a powerflow scematic of the bridge and put it on the main screen.
"Everybody keep an eye on that." He announed. "If the power level neaer you station goes beyond green, back off. it indicates too much power there."
The smeall of smoke was still present, and the Tactical station was completly gone. There was no way that it would be used again from it's current position without an extensive fitting at a starbase.
"What's happening?!" Commander mattew asked, quite frantic. Jeff didn't respond. He was staring at the power diagram, where there was a power buildup right underneath the bridge.
"We need to get out of here. The way this is reading, we have a minute tops before the bridge blows off the ship."

Loskene had lost all track of time. He suspected he had been wandering around for hours, but it could have just as easily been days. A menacing sun shined in the sky, and all around him was dry desert and hills. A large snake crossed his way and Loskene stood out of the way of the creature, as it passed by harmlessly. Enough of this! Loskene said to himself. It seemed like a pointless task to be wandering around in an endless wasteland, so he stopped and sat down. What is this? Someone's idea of a cruel game? Well,
I'm not playing it any longer. he said to himself, hoping that something, anything would tell him where he was and what he was doing there. For a long time after, nothing happened. Loskene proceeded to use his mind to find out anything about his location, but oddly enough, he could only sense some kind of static. Over and over he tried to ascertain his situation, but nothing came. He was somewhere, but everything was jarbled. Just as he was about to attempt another telepathic scan, he noticed something in the distance. It was a small, black object, traveling slowly. As it got closer, Loskene could see more of the object. It was some kind of four legged machine carrying a white hooded cart. As it got closer still, he noticed that it wasn't a machine, but rather an animal. The cart stopped about 30 feet away from Loskene and he recognized it. It was a covered wagon, like something from the Ancient West on Earth. Loskene: An equine? ... A man stepped out of the cart and stretched his legs. He appeared to be dressed as a "cowboy" and had black boots with spurs, and wore a belt with some kind of symbol on it, and a red scarf and brim hat. He was dark skinned. The cowboy glimpsed at Loskene, and tilted his head in curiosity. He crept up to Loskene slowly anc cautiously. He stopped about 6 feet away from him. Cowboy: Recepción a la tierra. Le he estado contando con. Loskene: I...beg your pardon? The cowboy stopped speaking and stared at Loskene's uniform with skepticism. Loskene: I'm Admiral Loskene, I'm commander of a ship... Can you tell me...where is this? This place? And who are you? ...How did I end up here? Cowboy: Hahaha. Usted es absolutamente el curioso. No se preocupe el amigo, todo será revelado pronto. Hmm... Debo admitir que tengo aversión idiomas humanas, pero éste, ésta no es tan malo. Sin embargo, ahora debemos conseguir al negocio. Loskene: I...I don't speak that language. The cowboy sighed and snapped his fingers. They were instantly teleported to a very cold place, an icy, barren desert. Cowboy: Is this better? Loskene: Just who are you? Cowboy: As I said, I am getting to that. You certainly are an interesting one. You have human appearance, but I can see right through you. Loskene: Who are you?!! Cowboy: Alright, alright. You Starfleet are all the same. So impatient. The cowboy snapped his fingers and his true guise was revealed. Loskene: Oh no... ??: I'm sorry, have we met before? Loskene: No, but you're existence is well known and dreaded by the Federation, as well as other races. ??: Well that is a tad unfair now. You haven't even given me a chance to get to know you. Loskene: I don't want to get to know you. ??: Hmph. And I'm sure Cathy and Jean-Luc had nothing to do with spreading the rumors of the "evil Q" Loskene: What is it you want Q? Q: It's about that black cloud you're investigating. Loskene: Oh...it's you, isn't it? You're the one responsible for all this! The time distortion, the cloud, everything! Q: Not this time. No, this is not the work of the Q continuum. This is something unexpected. Something was not meant to occur. But yet, here it is. And it may be too late to stop it. Loskene: What is it? Q: An enimga. Perhaps one of the greatest oddities of all. Albeit a threatining one. Loskene: If you knew it was a threat, you would have taken care of it a long time ago. This is just another one of your games. Q: My superiors have told me that this does not concern the continuum, and that we must "wean" the galaxy to fend for itself. We Q will not be affected by this. At the very least it will be an interesting event. But for you and the other unfortunate locals, it may pose a problem. Loskene: So why bother bringing me here, if you can't even do anything about it? How can we stop it? All you're doing is sending vague messa- Q: Tell Cathy I said hello. Q then snapped his fingers and Loskene was instantly teleported to his ready room. Loskene walked out and onto the bridge. Loskene: Attention, everyone. I have some news for you, and I don't think you'll like it.... (NOTE: This post was originally meant to be a bit longer but unfortunately I was logged out during my post and I lost 50% of it when it failed to send. I've tried to make this one as similar to my original as possible.)

When Loskine walked out onto the bridge, He was announcing something. But Most Everyone had already gone, and Jeff was the one of the last, other then the people loading the injured into turbolifts. He was trying to lock all systems to manual control- something that had to be done from the bridge. "Sir, Get off the bridge!" Jeff shouted in panic and surprise. "there's a huge power overload right beneath us!"
Loskene froze. things had gone from bad to worse while he was gone, it seemed. "Where is the buildup?" He asked, quite surprised.
"At the main docking junctures, and there's one directly underneath the center. The center one has the most energy, so it will go off, then it's force will launch the bridge into space in pieces. But the rest of the ship should be reasonably safe. Go anywhere but here!"
"As long as you come too. I'm leaving nobody behind."
"The Secure lift has been used- we'll have to take a normal one."
A few seconds later they arrived on the battle bridge.

"We need to get out of here. The way this is reading, we have a minute tops before the bridge blows off the ship."
"Tell me you got to be joking," Matt said as looked at the engineer in the eye.
"No Commander, I'm not joking," Pudlo said as he started to lock out key systems.
"Mister Reynolds transfer all command codes to the auxiliary bridge in Deck 3," Commander Matthews ordered.
"Aye sir," Matt said as he quickly sent the command codes for the entire ship to the small battle bridge.
"Okay everyone get out of here, report to your departments, Departments heads report to the battle bridge," Matt said as he went with the first wave of evacuating bridge officers.
=^=This is Commander Reynolds, the bridge is being evacuated, prepare for major damage. The new bridge is on Deck 3, Battle Bridge=^=
OCC: I don't know if the battle bridge is on Deck 3, but I just put it there. If it's not I'll change it.

OOC: I suppose there can be an auxilarry control center there...
IC: The image of the top of the saucer was in it's own way sort of pretty. In it's own wicked, twisted way. the center of the bridge first shattered, then the entire top blew off as it blew apart.
"Damage?" Loskene asked. It looked like the bridge was the only thing touched- the conference room and the captain's ready room were both blown open, but environmental fields held the air in, and prevented them from blowing out into space.
"looks minimal- but we still have the power surges to consider." Somebody suggested.
"Actually, the last few moments I had on the bridge, I switched the power to manual control. now, all power has to be approved by a crew operator."
"Why didn't you do that before this happened?" Commander Matthew said, shocked.
"Design flaw. I only knew I would have to do it after buildups were detected. And some Dock turkey put the only control on the main bridge."
"Who thought of that one?" James Mumbled.
"Well, the design itself is pretty smart- yo have to put certain switches into a prearranged position- almost a code- to even get power to the switch. And then, it only works from the engineering panel."
"So no more power surges?" He calmed down some, relived.
"they're out of the question. WE have power, and it's working reliably. Now, I think we need a decision."

T'Val could faintly hear a count-down progressing on the still open comlink with the bridge, and she could hear shouting on the background.
"Mr Reynolds, what is going on?" she urged the operations officer. The other end of the comlink remained eerily silent. "Computer, who is on the bridge?"
=^= The main bridge is currently empty and depressurized =^=
"What?" T'Val asked.
=^= please rephrase query =^=
"Computer, locate admiral Loskene and the senior staff."
=^= Admiral Loskene and senior staff are on the battle bridge =^=
"T'Val to battlebridge, what has just happened?"
<anyone?>
ooc: I'm getting a little tired of having to try to find ways to keep myself involved...could you guys please insert a little more effort to keep me or Rayna in the loop?

"T'val, we just had a massive energry buildup underneath the main bridge, and let's just say it's not there anymore. All power is now on manual control, so a crewmember has to approve the power flow and as a result, it's mionitered and controled. Nothhing like that should happen again." Jeff said over the Comm. "Are the two engineers damabed at the power juncure that you're treating able to return to duty? Engineering staff is pretty overloaded right now."
"They calim they have extremly bad headhaches, But I am unable to determine the cause."
"Wanting some peace and quiet I suppose. Tell them that the'll be put on light duty at a power flow monitoring staiton, and see if that cures it. If so, I've left instuctions in the computer." Jeff replied.

"I will be the judge of that ensign," T'Val replied curtly, as she checked on the two engineers, "and until you can prove that you are in possession of a certificate that allows you to practice medicine, kindly refrain from trying to do my job?"
<Pudlo>
She glanced at the two men, who seemed eager to get back to work. "I fear that I cannot allow the both of you to return to work just yet. You both have suffered severe trauma to the head, and I need to sedate you."
"Oh but we're fine doctor!" they exclaimed, looking at her eagerly.
"No, you are not," T'Val retorted, "now lay down and try to get some rest." She held up a hypospray and injected both with half a dosage of tranquillizer. "That should keep them quiet for a while," she muttered to herself, as she walked back into her office. For some odd reason, she found her mind wandering to the human doctor now serving as the chief medical officer on Assaillant, and caught herself wondering what he'd be doing now. Then she thought of her husband, and she knew that he already knew what had happened.
She tapped her combadge again. "Any new information on that nebula?" she enquired of Matt Reynolds, "are we still heading towards it or are we stationary outside it. I still recommend against sending the entire ship in. However I volunteer to take a shuttlecraft and go take some readings."

"I studied medicine at Starfleet acedemy as my minor- I am trained to act as a first responder. I keep that training to date. But you're in charge here, so I'll let your judgement rule this one." "I was unaware of that factor." "When that line is used, Doctors are usually supriesed at my reply. But thier really similar realy. Medicine is just fixing a complex biological machine instead of a giant ship." "I will keep you apprised then, If you wish." "Not neccicarry. I trust you to do your job." Jeff turned away. Wehn T'val came on the intercom and vollenteered to take a shuttle in, he simply checked the supply list. there was enough ablative armor left for a runabout, but they couldn't send one in. they were all stripped down to the bones to get the cores out. he could equip a shttlepod, but that would be impulse only, and might not be able to escape. Or have the power to defend itself against the defensive mechanisims of whatever that thing was.
