Steve noticed Rem look away very quickly, and he instantly knew why.
She was feeling a bit embarrassed about what had just happened, but he knew the she liked it really.
"Thats what I like to hear." He replied. "As long as we give our all, who can complain?"

Sitting in Engineering, Harrias was a bit unsure that the plan was a good one, and he wasn't even one hundred percent sure that it was going to work. But their good collegues on the Jefferson thought it would, and as Harrias didn't have any ideas of his own, and he knew they couldn't outrun it, he was happy to go along with the plan if it would save his life.
He thought that it would be best if he tried to give them an extra push for the run, and he diverted a few of the minor systems to the engine, hopefully giving them a bit more room for error, although for his heart's sake, he hoped it wouldn't be needed.
With a glance around engineering, he could tell that everyone else was pretty nervous about it, and he was aware that he needed to raise morale if he was going to get them to work through the experience.
"Let's not have you lot slacking then! The worst that can happen here is that we go into a pseudo heaven. Sound bad? No, I thought not, so let's not worry ourselves okay?" He knew it wasn't the most motivating speech ever, but it would have to do for the moment, because he was in no mood to be more imaginative.
Just as he had diverted the rest of the systems, he felt the ship lurch forwards as it started the manoeuver that would decide things.

OFF: If I'm not mistaken, I'm the 2nd officer on the Jefferson. Thanks for letting us know James.
ON:
"Approaching the Ronaok, Mr. Gibson!" Xio said loudly from the Helm.
"Is the El Salvador ready?" Aral asked Mike, who was co-ordinating with the science officer on the El Sal. Aral felt a little more at ease with the plan he and Mike had devised knowing that Robert Agalacticae was at the helm.
"Yes, they're waiting for our signal."
"Give it to them!" He shouted as Mike tapped away on his console, "Begin the transport!"
"We've got them all!" Naeli shouted several moments later, "Cargo Bay 4 has them all!"
"What about the El Salvador?"
"They are leading them through the threads, but the nexus is still with them..." Mike said.
"They can shake it... they can do it...." Aral whispered.

Mr. Agalacticae! Skim th strings! Give us yer best man! : he shouts suddenly seeing the Nexus needs to HIT the threads to do any good::
Aye Maam ::Agalacticae says and begins the offensive evasive manuvers, grinning a little bit. Every Nav officer loves this sort of thing::
Savot, wordless in duty, calmly and silently transmits incoming sensor plots on string coordinates with feverish celerity. If any doubt existed that this vulcan knew his console, it was quickly abolished.
: Deis herself stands near the Captain watching the screen and various consoles with her eyes widely amazed. The El Salvador ducks in and out of the sparkled otherspace, flashing between this dimension and that one as we come too near the threads. No damage is being done save for the eyestrain and relitave confusion of the sensors. To the eyes and sensors of others the El Salvador appears and dissappears weaving in and out of dimensional threadways. The Great Nexus behind us shuddering as it strikes through each thread, the threads themselves destroyed, and the Nexus taking some sort of spacial beating::
Savot was multitasking like a fiend as more and more things required his attention. As the El Salvador neared each string and flickered between spacial existences, it needed monitoring to make sure she was holding together appropriately. As this became more and more hectic the Ops chief transferred his incoming feed to [glow=white,2,300]LIEUTENANT[/glow] Zimmerman's science console to allow him to monitor the ship's stability. Meanwhile, Savot continued to monitor both string location and the status of the Nexus itself. He checked once more to be sure of the readings, and lifted his head slightly to speak. "Captain, I believe our efforts are succeeding, with each pass the Nexus must reacquire us as a target, as would an old 20th century Earth missile. Each time it's taking it longer to reacquire."
Keep it Moving Mr. Agalicticae!! :: Our Captain shouts from his place...the Ensign Zimmerman reports loudly:: Structural integrity holding! Were gona make it!!
:: Deis watches and remains silent though probably only Savot knows how tense she is. Standing hands behind her back, hands clasped together but not turning away from the view or the stats.::
::Remeti Lucas says then:: The Nexus is taking some form of damage...i dont understand! Its...GOING TO COLLAPSE!!
"Good God!", Captain Smith said as the viewscreen focussed behind them onto the wildly fluxuation Nexus. With as little as anyone actually knew about the Nexus, the sight before the bridge crew had everyone convinced that it was something akin to tossing a cigarette into those old cartoon bunkers full of TNT... Before the Captain even started the order, Commander Agalacticae took one more look at the readout of string locations, pushed the nacelle upward-facing thrusters until the ship essentially stood on its end, if space wasn't devoid of such concepts, and blasted straight up. The Jefferson was far enough away that they'd be fine, but despite Engineering's best efforts, the shockwave was going to hit...
:: Deis slams her hand down on a console and shouts into the comm:: ALL HANDS BRACE FER IMPACT!! ::It takes little enough time for the nexus to cease following...and then imploding in on itsself...there is no grand explosion, no fireworks, but rather a suddenness of nothing and then the outward spreading of the force of its mass collapsing...The Roanoke and the Jefferson are buffetted the ships themselves knocked eskew though the damage dosent appear to be as fatal as all that. Yet sparks fly from all ships and the internal lighting dies...all three ships left in darkness, the El Salvador drifting for the moment from its valiant bid for escape::
OFF: Sorry ive been gone so long Ladies and Gentlemen. The reasons were personal real life and rather unavoidable.
This Post is a joint post done up by Mr. Savot and Myself.

Richard glanced up from his instruments and looked at the reflection in the main viewscreen of the command deck. Tepes, T'Val and Magellan had been standing in a circle, eyes closed for some time now. He had now idea what they were doing, but doubted that it was anything good for him.
Richard had been casting about, trying to figure out something to do, but had come up empty. The command codes that he had transferred to Saarok had been given to Tepes, so Richard could do little besides pilot the ship. Even if he could, most of what little resistance he had left had been taken up by hiding the fact that there was a cloaked ship following them. Even now, he could feel the urge to tell Tepes about it, and knew that eventually he would. All he could hope for now was that they would arrive at the El Salvador before he blurted it out. Unfortunately, the engines were already moving the Wanderer as fast as they could.
At last, the three of them came out of their trance. "Do you see now? Tepes asked. Magellan and T'Val nodded reverently, as if the dark man had shown them the secrets of the universe. Deep down, Richard wished that he could share in whatever it was that had just been passed on, that he could please Tepes as well. Again, that tiny part of Richard that was still there held on, hoping for ...something.
A light flashed on the console. They had arrived at Sector 984 and the location of the El Salvador at last. Turning, Richard said "Master, we have arrived at the El Salvador's location."
"Bring us to impulse, Mr. Jibb and scan for the ship" Tepes said, his eagerness to find the El Salvador overcoming his dislike enough to bring him to Jibb's side.
Richard brought the Wanderer out of warp and watched as Sector 984 came into view. It was unlike anything he had seen before, with massive swirling nebulae, neutron stars and lightning flashing unexpectedly. Richard activated the scanners, but no sign of the El Salvador could be seen. "I don't see the ship" he said quietly
Magellan walked over and took control of the scanners. "They must be here!" he insisted. "They are conducting a search for the USS Roanoak with the Jefferson. Set up a search pattern and find them" Magellan grated at Richard.
Frowning, Richard entered the sector. Piloting through the area was a nightmare. There were odd, string like areas that were barely detectable on the sensors but seemed threatening somehow. Richard avoided them carefully while looking for the two ships.
After some time, the sensors picked up faint signals ahead. Richard moved the Wanderer towards them. Magellan was still handling the sensors. "We have found them, Master" he sighed.
"Put them on the main screen." Tepes ordered.
Richard entered the correct commands, and the three ships appeared onscreen. The readouts showed the ships as the El Salvador, Jefferson and Roanoak. However, the three ships appeared to be adrift and powerless. There were lifesigns though.
"Get me aboard!" Tepes hissed.
Frightened, Richard turned and opened a channel. "Federation Diplomatic Shuttle Wanderer to USS El Salvador. We are monitoring your ship adrift. Please respond."
The four of them waited for a reply.

As the Nexus Collaspes, panic starts to set in for Max Power and his engineering team
Max "Everyone, brace for impact!" He shouts as he reads the sensor logs of the nexus imploding on itself.
As quickly as it happen, its over, with the Jefferson violent shaken, but not stirred, is left drifting with alot of damage. Emercency systems start to take over as main power fails. Spot fires are occuring all over engineering with crew memebers putting them out.
Max "Everyone thats capable of working, help those who are injured to sickbay, then return immediatly. Anyone whos left with me now, get started on main power. Crewman Jones...in a crisis like this...bring me a bowl of coco-pops please. Big bowl. Large bowl. Extra milk too. Thanks.
Jones "Coco-pop sir?"
Max "Here they are and the insturctions on how to make it. Enjoy."
Crewman jones headed off as Max immediatly started reading the consoles. "Main power is offline. Engines are off, life support is on emerceny systems only. Minimal lighting on any deck." is what the read had.
Max "Start re-routing all power from areas unoccuipied, and shut them off, to life support for now."
Crewmemebers started working on it, as Max looked around engineering. Smoked damaged walls from the fires, consoles damaged, bits of debris all over the place. Finally, some good news.
Jones "Your coco-pops sir!"
Max "Thank you"
Max sat down, starting to eat his coco-pops. He was consitantly reading the reports that were flooding in, while muching on his breakfast ceral. It was going to take time to repair this damage, and he knew it.
"Ensign Mack" Max called "Start replacing these damaged realies on jefferson tubes 11through 14. Take a repair team in. This should get impulse back online. Assemble a second team to assist with the re-routing of power so it will run more efficent."
Mack "Aye sir"
Max sat back in his chair, reading the status. It wasn't good, but at least he wasnt hungry.

Down in engineering, the trill was confused. All the systems were down. Completely down. Every single system on the ship had stopped working completely, and Harrias had no idea why. From every readout that he had got before the computer had stopped being able to give readouts, everything was working fine. Then they were hit by the tail end of the nexus explosion and everything had stopped. Even the main computer had shut down, which was something that was going to cause big big problems. Those things took days to re-boot and re-enable once they had been shut off.
Tapping his commbadge, he wasn't surprised when nothing at all happened, and leaving instructions for Kivan to sort out the systems, or at least make some kind of token effort to get the ship working again, he made his way up to the bridge, using the Jeffries tubes, as the lifts certainly wouldn't be working.
As he arrived up on the bridge, he saw the Captain in deep conversation with a few of the other senior staff in the corner. Hating to be the bringer of bad news, but knowing he had to, he stepped over to the group.
"Five hours of air left sir. And there seems to be a ship sitting around outside for us. I saw it out of the window on the way up."

OFF: Ummm... Doctor,I think I'm a Lt., not an Ensign. I don't care too much, sir, just thought I'd let you know. And Commander Jira, or Captain Smith, don't most Federation starships this size have two or three computer cores? I know the Enterprise-D had three, but I have no schematics for this ship telling me anything about the computers....since Commander Jira just posted a single computer on our ship, I'll assume that's the case. Meanwhile, I'll ask some people at Omicron Shipyard if they have the answer. Commander Jira clarified for me that all electronic/mechanical stuff on the El Salv is off-line. So, that changed this post a little. ::blushes, thinking:: Wow, I feel like an idiot. ON: Savot: "Mr. Zimmerman, I believe you would be useful in repairing the comupter core. Take a couple of science teams down there with you." Kevin: "Aye, sir." Captain Smith called for a meeting with the senior staff. Kevin notified the Captain of his destination (which was approved), and headed for Engineering. OFF: Tepes, I'm ready.

Remeti had nearly fallen on top of Steve. SHe grabbed the edge of her console to keep her self from completely landing on top of him.
In the dimness of the bridge she gave a faint smile. NOt that that would be bad or anything, just not professional.
Remeti watched as Zimmerman went to the Engineering. She also heard Steve order a senior staff meeting. She started to complie a report of the meeting

"The nexus is destabilizing, Cmdr. Gibson!" Mike shouted, his forehead covered in sweat.
"Warp 9.9! Now!" He yelled at Xio, who was doing her best already.
"The shockwave is coming, fast. It's overtaken the El Salvador!" Mike shouted. Aral cringed as the Ronaok was blown to peices, as it's sheilds were down.
"Brace for impact!" Mike got out before the ship was shook violently. Aral was thrown from his chair. The next thing he knew he was face first down on the floor tasting blood.
The bridge was in a terrible state. Some of the ceiling plates had fallen revealing punctured cables and pipes, and the lighting was at a complete minimum, there was a fine smoke coming from one of the pipes.
"Report!" Aral coughed.
Mike was sprawled infront of his console, shaking his head, and Xio looked injured. Mike seemed to find his feet.
"Communications are down *cough*, warp is gone, but the nacelles aren't in too bad *cough* condition, weapons and shields are offline, and turbolifts are offline."
"Damnit." Aral whispered, "So we can't contact anyone outside the bridge?"
"Aye."
"I'm going to get down to engineering and then sickbay." He said wearily, wiping blood from his mouth.
"But I said the turbolifts are offline!"
"I'm taking the jeffries tubes. You have command of the bridge, Mike." He said and then opened up the nearest opening and began the long crawl to engineering.

Not that that would be bad or anything, just not professional. Remeti watched as Zimmerman went to the Engineering. She also heard Steve order a senior staff meeting. She started to complie a report of the meeting OFF: How did I miss this? lol Gonna slightly backpost, as I have been busy, and missed stuff. ON: As the Bridge was shaken about badly, Steve was almost knocked off balance. But when Remeti held on to her console, she knocked into him, and he was thrown onto the floor, awkwardly, yet she managed to hang on and not fall on him. Steve wouldnt have minded, but the rest of the Bridge crew might have had something to say about it later! As the lights had flickered back on, Steve was sure he caught a slight smile from Remeti. He tried to stand and an almighty amount of pain shot up from his right leg, and he shouted in pain, and stumbled back down. He let out a deep sigh, and tried to get up again...this time allowing the pain to course through his body, and not make a sound. He was clearly in pain though. As he was almost kneeling, Remeti saw him and went to help. At this moment in time, when he was in so much pain, he didnt care about protocol. He took Remeti's arm, and she helped him up as he hopped on one foot. He then put his arm around her, not her shoulder, but her waist, and steadied himself. He wasnt bothered if anyone saw, or what they thought. He loved Rem, and she was offering him help, be it on or off duty, he was thankful for it. He tapped his combadge, and nothing happened. 'Damn.' He said under his breath. He turned round and looked at the back of the bridge. "Ok, guys and girls. Comms are down, so I am calling an emergency meeting in the conference room for 5 minutes." He hobbled over to the his chair, under careful guidance from Remeti, and sat down. As she turned away, he held on to her hand, and smiled at her and gazed into her eyes, and said a silent 'thank you'.

Richard felt extremely uncomfortable as he awaited along with his three passengers for some response from the El Salvador. T'Val, in feline form, had decided to hop up on his lap. Richard had heard of cats before, but this was the first time he had seen one. He wasn't fond of the experience. What he really wanted to do was shoo the cat away. An even better option would be to shoot it with a phaser a few times. However, he doubted that he would ever get the opportunity, as pleasureable as it was to think about.
Unfortunately, Richard had more urgent problems. Tepes was becoming increasingly impatient as they awaited a response from the El Salvador. "What is the matter with them? Do they not realize that I am here?"
Richard gestured at the scans of the Jefferson and El Salvador. "Probably not, Master. Our scans indicate that every system on both ships is not functioning, not even life support."
Tepes turned to Admiral Magellan. "These ships are part of your fleet, Admiral. How long can they last?"
Magellan considered the problem. "Assuming they don't get life support back, the crews on both ships will be dead within five hours" he said with some indifference.
Tepes steped over to Magellan so quickly that Richard eyes never saw him move. The darkly clad man grasped Magellan by his lapels and lifted him off of the deck. "Those ships and their crews are a part of my plan. You will help me control them, or die in the attempt!"
Magellan quailed under the menace of Tepes' eyes, while T'Val's feline formed seemed quietly pleased. Richard's eyes narrowed briefly. It seemed that there may be some rivalry between Tepes underlings. Something that he might be able to use to his advantage. The cat's head slowly swivelled until it was looking at Richard steadily and he had to look away. If he survived long enough to use it, he thought to himself.
"What are your recommendations, Mr. Jibb?" Tepes asked. Richard couldn't mention his true feelings, so he gave the question some honest thought.
"Master, I would say that you, Magellan and T'Val should transport to the USS Jefferson. It's the larger, more powerful and more senior vessel of the two. Taking command of it would be a powerful advantage" Richard said.
Tepes seemed amused. "And what of you, Mr. Jibb? You would remain here on the Wanderer, ready to save us if we should be in danger?"
Richard went cold. "I will go anywhere you wish, Master."
"What of the two of you? Do either of you have an opinion as to what our course of action would be?" Tepes asked.

Tepes thought for a moment, then made his decision. Turning himself to Magellan, he said, "Admiral, we're going to speak to the Jefferson and the El Salvador both. In each instance, you are to command them to follow my instructions to the letter. Understood?"
"Understood."
"Open a frequency to the Jefferson, Mr. Jibb." In a moment, the forward screen's veiw of the two starships was replaced with the bridge of the larger of the two ships, and the Admiral spoke.
"Greetings, Commodore. The gentleman standing here <Magellan indicated Tepes> is Ambassador Tepes R'shalech. You will follow his instructions to the letter."
"Acknowledged," answered Loskene.
"Commodore," Tepes began, "I expect to find your presence useful in the immediate future. I request you maintain your current position in relation to the El Salvador. Do your current orders permit that?" <Commodore Loskene> "Very well," Tepes responded. "R'shalech out."
As the image faded back to the two ships outside the Wanderer, Tepes spoke again to Captain Jibb.
"And now, open a channel to the El Salvador."
When Captain Smith's visage appeared on the monitor, Tepes smiled, half in anticipation, half to mask his true intent, as Admiral Magellan instructed him to comply with Tepes' orders.
"Good evening, Captain Smith. Ambassador Tepes R'shalech requesting permission to board the El Salvador." Purposely, he left off comment concerning systems being down shipwide. What he would do with Captain Jibb would be determined by Captain Smith's next words. OOC: the intership communication above is not through regular systems, but is a telepathic link via Tepes.

OFF: A telepathic link that can somehow make me see you on my viewscreen and me on yours? Doesnt sound right....but hey, what can I do, seems you already have a plan.
ON:
Steve stayed seated in his chair, as getting up was NOT an option. Who was the Ambassador, and why wasnt he informed of his arrival?
Steve tried to smile, but in spite of all the pain, he just couldnt.
"I am sorry Ambassador, but that will not be possible. Every system on the entire ship is down, and nothing works. But how you managed to contact us is beyond me. I am about to hold a staff meeting in order to discuss our plans to get up and running again."
Steve didnt exactly want anyone on his ship anyway. The fact that they couldnt physically get to the ship was also another factor.

Savot caught a momentary glimpse of the odd viewscreen image, but he turned away from the visual to activate the manual release on the conference room doors. Captain Smith had called for a briefing there in less than 5 minutes, and the door needed opening.
Savot heard the entire brief conversation, and his Captain's reply, as he worked in the background. He opened the access panel by the door to the conference room, yanked down on the manual release, and spun the release 180 degrees before pushing it back into place, springing the door open a few inches enabling him to start pushing it open.
As the El Salvador remained motionless for the time being, Robert walked over to give him a hand, bracing himself and pulling on the left half of the door whilst Savot pulled on the right. Savot's vulcan strength had his side open slightly faster, but Robert gave quite a good representation of his human ancestry and quickly had his side open as well.
Deis Irae stood by the Captain with a wary look on her face, firstly at the strange viewing phenomenon occuring, and secondly at the oddity of Admiral Magellan's surprise presence and his unusual orders regarding this Ambassador. She held her peace for the time, however, perhaps to reveal her suspicions during the conference...

Once the communication was cut, Steve set about going to the conference room. He turned in his chair to see that Savot and Robert opened the doors Conference Room.
"Good work, you two." He called to them.
He put both hands on either arm rest of his chair, and moved with all of his strength to stand up without causing more pain in his leg. As he was slowly getting up, Remeti turned round and saw him. In an instant, she quickly moved to help him. She moved so fast that she tripped over herself, but managed to reamin standing. Steve let out a little laugh, which distracted him from his task, and he very nearly fell back down. Luckily by that time, Remeti was by his side. She helped him up, and he put his arm around her waist as before.
Before they set off, Steve looked at Rem, and she looked at him. They stood there for a few moments looking into each others eyes. Steve smiled at her and nodded slightly.
In a very quiet voice that only they could here, he said "I love you" very softly. Steve took her hand, and they started to walk out of the newly opened door of the Bridge and headed towards the conference room. As they were walking, he gently squeezed her hand, and stroked the back of it.
As they reached the Conference Room, he took his arm away from her.
"After you." He said, gesturing, keeping his balance.
At first, Remeti looked at him in an "Are you mad?" way, but he insisted. Remeti nodded and entered the room, and stopped just inside. Steve hobbled in, held on to Rem, and proceeded to the table. He sat down, with help, at the head of the table. Remeti took up the next to the right, nearest him on that side. He still held her hand that was placed on the table, and waited for the rest of the senior crew to arrive.

Aral groaned as he realized his uniform had just caught on jagged peice of metal on the side of the jeffries tube- another result of the Nexus' collapse. Unable to reach back in the narrow space he rolled onto his back and pulled the caught thread off the metal. Depressed, he ventured onward.
Soon, Aral reached a ladder and began to climb downward, happy to give his poor knee's a break, at least for a while.
What seemed like a hour later Aral finally opened a plating and stuck his head out into engineering. Suddenly Max Power's upside-down head came very close to Aral's own.
"Commander?" He said curiously. Aral jumped, which was very awkward when inside a jeffries tube, but the overall result was him falling head first onto the floor.
"Mr. Power." He said, doing his best to straighten his uniform. Max stood straight up again.
"What brings you to my humble hell-hole? The doughnuts? I'm afraid they got burned up in one of the fires." Max sniffed sadly.
"Fires?" Aral inquired, "What happened down here?"

Anyways, the violent reaction from the nexus created a violent reaction within engineering. This violent reaction sent consoles violently exploding, creating fires. We put them all out, now we are starting to restore main power. At the moment, life support is stable, emergency systems will last us for as long as we need them, but no longer than a week. We should have most basic systems restored. The warp reactor has shut down completely. Thats ok, we can reboot that when power is back online. Impulse engines are in full operation when power comes back on, however im unsure we would be able to create a stable Warp field. Engineers are going to look into that. As for me, i am starting to run system checks to see which are online and off. This is taking some time due to the fact that most of the ships lunch's supply has been eaten...at lunch." (tag Aral)

Zimmerman was making his way down to Engineering when a large mist seemed to drift towards him. "Why arn't the vents claring out that stuff?" Kevin wondered. He reached down at his tricorder when he looked up again, a man was finishing materializing.
Kevin: "Excuse me, sir... may I ask where you came from? Do you require medical attention?"
The civilian, wearing a dark cloak, grinned and advanced on him.
Tepes: "It matters not from whence I came. What matters is, I am here for you."
Kevin: "I do not comprehend your statement, sir."
The unknown figure was very close to Kevin now. Zimmerman begain to back away, first at a slow walk, and then increasing to a run. Kevin almost tapped his combadge, but remembered communications were out, along with the rest of the ship. Kevin reached the end of the corridor, and a turbolift. He had put a fair amount of space between him and the intruder. Kevin oppend the turbolift with some effort, and then oppened the top of the turbolift. (OFF: In case of an emergency, turbolifts have tops which can be oppend. Watch TNG: Disaster for details) Kevin then begain climbing up the ladder (OFF: again, watch Disaster if you don't know what I'm talking about) with the caped entity close behind. Kevin was begining to run out of stamina, but the odd figure, while slower, had not slowed his velocity. Kevin reached a door two floors above where he'd first encountered the intruder and ran out into the hall, panting. Zimmerman slowed down, and pried open the nearest door, which contained an unused room. He then closed the door behind him. He heard the odd man walking closer, then stop... and pry open the door. Kevin slammed into the man, thinking, "How did he know I was in here?" But the man was not dislogged from the doorway. He swiftly walked over to Kevin, who was now trapped and tired.

Aral rolled his eyes at the young engineer, "I'm sure you'll find your way into the dinner supply soon enough, Mr. Power. Once you have the updates, run it to the bridge with a runner. If I'm not there, give it to Mr. Pasek."
"Alrighty." Max gave a mock salute.
"I'm heading to sickbay, to check on the commodore."
"Have fun," Max said, and then grinned "And try to avoid those jagged metal edges, hey?"
Aral rolled his eyes again and then re-entered the jeffries tube.

Commodore Loskene sat in sickbay, still a bit dazed but he felt a lot better.
Doctor: Ah, sir how are you today?
Loskene: I am better thanks... However I have missed much. I am still trying to stomach it.
Doctor: Well, I can find nothing really wrong with you sir. Your nueral activity appears normal.
Aral Gibson entered the sickbay to check on Loskene.
Gibson: Commodore, good to see you on your feet sir.
Loskene: Thank you Commander. How is everything?
Gibson: Well, we've been better. Commander Matthew is on the bridge holding down the fort.
Loskene: Well, I believe I am good enough to get back.
Gibson: Oh, I almost forgot to mention. Admiral Magellan is nearing our position.
Loskene: ...What? Out here? How did starfleet find out about our situation so quickly?
Gibson: I'm not sure. Most likely they were concerned and decided to send a ship.
Loskene: Perhaps. Well, I am heading to the bridge.
Gibson: Understood sir.
Loskene exited sickbay and slowly headed for the bridge, still trying to regain his movement. When he reached the bridge, the crew were surprised, they had not seen the commodore in quite some time.
Matthew: Ah sir. How are you?
Loskene: Much better thank you.
Matthew: Well, this certainly is good timing. We are being hailed.
Loskene: Well then, on screen please...
Magellan appeared on the screen. He looked a bit strange, a glazed look in his eye.
Loskene: Admiral Magellan, very good to see you sir. What a stroke of luck.
"Greetings, Commodore. The gentleman standing here <Magellan indicated Tepes> is Ambassador Tepes R'shalech. You will follow his instructions to the letter."
Loskene: ...Sir?
Magellan: Commodore, please. I have given him permission.
Loskene squinted his eyes as if to say "What in the hell?"
Loskene: Okay sir.
"Commodore," Tepes began, "I expect to find your presence useful in the immediate future. I request you maintain your current position in relation to the El Salvador. Do your current orders permit that?"
Loskene: Well, as of now we have no orders. We are disabled to boot.
"Very well," Tepes responded. "R'shalech out."
The viewscreen flicked off and Loskene sat silent for a few moments.
Matthew: Problem sir?
Loskene: I don't know... There is something odd going on here.
Matthew: How so?
Loskene: For one thing, Admiral Magellan did not seem himself...His mind was clouded...But then again it could just be that my telepathic lobe is still acting up. But that other... Tepes. I sensed something strange in him... Somethings not right.
Matthew: Well sir, do we obey?
Loskene: I have no reason not to. Not yet anyway. But...be cautious, Commander. And that goes for everyone.
OFF: Hello everyone. Sorry for my absence lately. RL things have been crazy lately. BTW, most people probably know this, but I am Species 8472 but can retain human form.
