Mc7 paced the quarters he had been assigned aboard the Lone Wolf since it picked him up from Assailaint. He was anxious to rendezvous with the Jefferson, and to talk to Matt. It had been a while since Mc7 and Matt had spoken, which at the moment was something that he deeply regretted. When news of the developments aboard the Jefferson came across his desk the Vice Admiral commandeered the Lone Wolf, which was luckily docked at the Base for crew R & R. One of the advantages of his rank was the ability to press gang a ship into service at a moments notice, and at the moment it was an advantage he was extremely grateful of.
"Admiral," Commodore T'Mars' voice came over the communications system, "We are approaching the coordinates and I am about to make contact with Captain Reynolds."
"Acknowledged Commodore. I'll join you on the Bridge in a few moments."
Mc7 inhaled deeply after closing the comm channel. This was a conversation he was not looking forward to.

He was happy to see they had back up when the U.S.S. Lone Wolf showed up on his senors. He let out the breath he had been hold when he recieved the hail from the Commodore and relayed to his captain.
Still he was a little shocked to see help arrive so soon it was wiered. What was a federation ship doing all the way out here. When he left Star base Lone Wold was being repaired. Who ever pulled strings to get her moving was prettty high up there.
Looking back over at his captain " Sir ever hear the saying be careful what you wish for. Dont get me wrong I'm happy there here. Its just why are they hear and how did they know wherre we were at." <Tag Reynolds>

In spite of wanting to remain aboard the freighter until she could be sure of the best outcome, Megan decided that disobeying a direct order and remaining on an under-attack enemy vessel was probably pushing her luck in spite of how she would have played things if she were solo. Besides, the Sommers was reporting the approach of a Federation starship more than capable of handling things from there and the freighter crew was now aware someone was still onboard and undermining their efforts from within, so it was only a matter of time before she actually was at risk. Therefore, only a little reluctantly, Commander Garrett left the shields down and transported herself back to her shuttle, waiting a short distance away still hidden.
Moving quickly to her chair and retracting the station around her, Megan was quite pleased to see the Lone Wolf was only a few minutes out and glad Admiral LaPage and his team had been on top of things and sent reinforcements at precisely the right time. It was good to be back. Now her final problem became maintaining her cover somehow. Carefully piloting the Sommers closer to the freighter, the agent picked one of the massive vessel’s engines that hadn’t been damaged during the attack and moved her tiny ship into position near one of the exhaust points, which was emitting just enough to explain why the Seraph and Cardassians hadn’t been able to detect her. True, it was a little hard to believe she could have maneuvered the shuttle to that point without alerting the freighter, but she’d simply have to sell it. Once there, Commander Garrett dropped the cloak and quickly spun out back into open space avoiding the weapon’s fire before taking position near the Seraph.
Within ten minutes it was all over. The Cardassians had held back from destroying the freighter and had allowed the Lone Wolf to take custody of the ship and crew. The prisoners, minus the Cardassians who had been returned to their ships, were being cared for by the medical and counseling staff on the Lone Wolf. The mission had been completed successfully, aside from the one remaining associate sent to retrieve the next DNA sample who was still at large, but the freighter records would probably be enough to identify and apprehend him soon enough. All in all, Megan was rather pleased with herself and the outcome, but the mission had made one thing perfectly clear: living a double life on the Jefferson was not going to be easy.
Though she couldn’t be sure, it was almost certain that she had raised a great deal of suspicion among her fellow crewmembers during this mission, and this was just the beginning. She could only hope that somehow it wasn’t over before it started...

"Captain Reynolds, Admiral Mc 7 of 9 would like to speak with you?" Commodore T'Mar said in her usual montone Vulcan tone. Not wanting to act surprised, Matt thanked the Commodore and waited for his former commanding officer to arrive. Even though he knew that Mc would arrive in a matter of seconds, Matt's head raced through the possibilities for his arrival. Having not seen the Vice-Admiral since his stint as acting commanding officer of the USS Raven, Matt was becoming a bit anxious.
"Admiral, its great to see you again?" Matt said as he saw his friend on the viewscreen," congraulations on your promotion sir. As you can see, I'm still getting into trouble."
(MC)
"What happened?" Matt asked knowing deep down that MC had not come to just say hello. Something had happened and his friend did not want to tell him.

Nathan lay curled up in bed, the blankets fully pulled over him. He had been fast asleep until a thin wail intruded upon his dreams. First he thought it was part of his dream, but as it persisted, and there were no crying infants in his dream, Nathan slowly opened his eyes and listened.
The wail was coming from very close by and he realised that they had moved the baby's crib to the master bedroom, for safety's sake. Squinting against the darkness, he saw someone move through the bedroom. The doctor reached towards the cabinet beside the bed and probed until his fingers encountered his phaser,
As quietly as possible, his fingers folded around the grip and he pulled the weapon back. Whoever was in the room, didn't seem to notice. The wailing, however, continued and even seemed to increase in pitch. Or so it appeared to Nathan, who was still half asleep.
"Halt," the doctor finally spoke up, taking careful aim with his phaser. The shadow stopped moving around, but it was obvious it was holding something in it's arms. "Put the baby down," he ordered, not even realising that it could be Jayden. He hadn't thought to check the other end of the bed, but was reacting purely on instinct.
He pressed the trigger once, a bright orange beam shooting right past the other figure. In the brief light, Nathan recognised Jayden, who was stood frozen with one hand tightly cradling the infant to his chest, while the other moved to his cheek. Equally startled, Nathan dropped the phaser and darted out of bed. "Computer, lights."
Full illumination erupted into the master bedroom and Nathan had to squint against the brightness so he wouldn't be blinded by it. "Why didn't you say something?" he said accusingly, as he wrapped his arms around the younger man. "I could've seriously innjured you."
Jayden merely stood, nursing the burn on his cheek. "I didn't want to wake you," he said softly, "nor did I want to alarm you."
Nathan pulled him closer, running his hand through the marine's hair in affection. "Next time, just wake me. I heard Angelique crying and that woke me."
"It woke me too," the marine replied. "Please, go back to sleep, I'll take care of her. You need the rest, please."
"She's my daughter..."
"I know, but I'm supposed to take care of both of you. Please, go back to sleep. Tomorrow we'll get your father out of sickbay and back home. I don't feel secure in knowing he's in sickbay, I'd rather have him here where I can watch all of you together."
"You're not feeling guilty are you?" Nathan lifted Jayden's face up to him, peering into his eyes. "Don't be. Dad is all right and I'm certain the boys will be to. They're leverage, and so long as no demands have been made, they're safe. There's nothing you could've done to prevent this..."
"I know," Jayden repeated, "doesn't change how I feel. And I know you're angry, even if you're not showing it. I can sense your anger."
"I'm angry because I feel security was insufficient. You're a marine and you're volunteering for this. Matt should've assigned more security to us, which he didn't. Instead, he went off on a dangerous mission which his first officer could've completed far more effectively on her own." Of course, he was one of the very few aboard the Jefferson, who knew what Megan really could do.
Jayden sighed before giving his partner a shove back to the bed. "I'll just go sit in the livingroom for a while, perhaps that'll help her sleep again. And it should help you too." He held out his hand. "Give me the phaser Nathan, I'll hold on to it."
Reluctantly, Nathan handed over the weapon, then crawled back into bed. He felt Jayden's kiss on his brow and smiled softly, knowing he was a very lucky man indeed to have such a devoted partner.

Mc7 arrived on the Bridge just as T'Mar was informing Matt Mc7 was aboard. "Admiral, its great to see you again?" His friends image filled the Lone Wolf's main viewer as they spoke," Congratulations on your promotion sir. As you can see, I'm still getting into trouble." Mc7 inhaled deeply, steeling himself for the conversation which was about to take place. "Some things will never change I suppose. Matt, something has happened. Give me a minute to move into the Ready Room so we can talk privately." Mc7 looked towards T'Mar, who in her usual Vulcan manor merely nodded, to show her approval at the Admiral commandeering her Ready Room for a brief time.
When he arrived in he sat behind T'Mar's desk and told the computer to transfer the transmission to the desktop console. A second later, Matt's face appeared on the console, the worry still evident on his face. "What's happened?"
"Matt, there's been an incident aboard the Jefferson. A group has been kidnapped," Mc7 paused, cleared his throat and contemplated how to break the news. "The group that was kidnapped were children, and Caleb was one of them."
Anguish filled Matt's face the moment Caleb's name was mentioned, and at that moment Mc7 wished he could cross the gap between them and simply put his arms around his friend. The Admiral had felt pain in his life, from being assimilated into the Borg collective through to telling loved ones that someone under his command had died, but nothing compared to what he knew Matt was going through at this precise moment.
"I want you to know that I'm here for you, and no matter what it takes, I'll go wherever I have to and do whatever is required, and I promise you we will get those children back."

It seemed things were ending well for there current mission, still he was worried. He felt like he was standing in the eye of a storm. This mission had been at best intersting but hard for him, he was still new and hadn't even met the rest of the crew yet. He was still concered about the Lone Wolf arrival while he was grateful for the help. Still there was the issue on what it was doing out here.
Then there was Commander Garrett, he didn't quite trust her now and this was not good. She was the first officer and that meant she could be counted on. The thing being is he now had a good idea about her shuttle might be hard to prove but he knew where it came from. Black ops was a word not mentioned very offen in star fleet. They had there own way of doing things and it was always in there favor.
He would be keeping a close eye on her, no matter how she try's to explain her ship recent events proved she was more then what she let on. Commander in star fleet don't get advance personal shuttle no matter who they are. It seemed to him life aboard the Jefferson was going to anything but normal. Now he would have to begin trying to fit in and that was not something he was looking forward to. He missed the scavenger alot although she was gone she was still his favorite ship.
He just hoped he would begin to like the Jefferson just as much. Things were going to be very tough and intersting. He would have to stay on guard until he fit in and got to know the crew and its captain better.<Tag anybody>
