It was another one of those fancy dress dinner parties to which Dr. Stuart Mercy had once again been invited to attend. It was attended by most of the station’s ambassadors, the two admirals were there, and a few others that Stuart did not recognize.
Stuart left the diplomatic conversations to the diplomats. He had found Dr. Lenara Kahn who seemed to be doing the same. A waiter had come by and Stuart grabbed two glasses of what seemed to be Andorian wine. He walked over to the Trill doctor offering her the second glass.
“To politics.” Stuart said while lifting his glass for a toast. “Indeed. To politics.” Lenara replied, lifting her glass while looking around the room.
“I did some research on the Trill physiology and psychology and have come across something very interesting, which I think may help Adm Lin.” Stuart said after taking a sip from his glass.
“Oh? What did you find?”
“Well, I have read with interest about the Altonian Brain Teaser. I found this holographic puzzle to be quite intriguing since it responds to neural theta waves. From what I understand, the goal is to transform the multitude of colors of a sphere into one single color. It seems that this is so difficult that it takes a Trill symbiont many lives to master.” Stuart took another sip, awaiting Dr. Kahn’s response.
“Ah yes. You are correct. The symbiont Dax is known to have engaged with this puzzle in the late 22nd century and didn’t complete it until it was joined with Jadzia, almost 400 years later. It requires focus and clarity of thought. I believe I know what you are getting at…”
Stuart cut in to finish the thought. “The player must clear his mind. If Adm Lin was to try this puzzle, it would possibly help his mind to also bring back some of his latent memories of his previous hosts. The focusing of his neural theta waves will act as stimuli.”
“I can see how that might work. We’ll have to bring this up with him. I might have to try this puzzle myself. It seems a good way to relax, if nothing else.”
They both smiled and brought their glasses together for a congratulatory toast.

"You know..." lenara continued after the toast "It could be more complicated than you think." "Go on." Mercy answered, "Magellan was never the easiest of candidates. To be honest I m not sure he was really suitable for joining" "Shouldnt you have stopped the joining then?" "Yes, but things were... awkward. The Lin symbiont is very...unique, very individualistic, Magellan doesnt know this but Lin never joined well with any host. It always kept itself a little apart, and after the ion blast that wiped out the poolsm it became even more paranoid and reclusive. In addition we happened to be in the area. Magellan and I were out investigating a Temproral Anomaly when an alert went out for a joinee. Toya had been killed and the symbiont was not responding well. Lin would never have made it back to the pools. So we were close and so Magellan having essentially proved himself worthy was joined." "I can see how this is more complicated. Dealing with trills is like treating two patients." "Exactly and given the trauma Lin has expereinced the ion blast, violent death of a host... its resulted in him becoming an island within Magellan. Now magellan is aware of his past lives I suspect a battle is being waged, Magellan trying to find more info and lin refusing to yeild. We need to find some way to mediate between the two" "Well thats a whole heap of information for me to digest there, and the admiral isnt the easiest of patients" "Dont worry I ll help in whatever way I can"

"Thankyou" She peered at Drews collar "Admiral. There seems to be a lot of brass on one station." Magellan smiled weakly, "Its a busy station" "One can imagine. And more important too I believe." "Every Federation sector is important" Magellan replied, the same weak smile on his face, he may dislike romulans full stop but this senator seemed more romulan than most. "Are you enjoying your stay senator?" Paul asked, "Its been...adequate, Starfleet always seems to excel in...hospitality, and Tedak has been most accomadating." "Good good. Do you plan to stay long?" Krotak smiled back slyly "As long as it takes, I yet to have met this Jak'dor." "Then perhaps I can change that" Magellan gestured and led Krotak over to the Debrune leader. "Jak'dor this is Senator Krotak, from Romulus. Shes scheduled to meet with you tomorrow." "That is incorrect" Jak'dor replied , ignoring the outstretched hands and Krotaks disgruntled look. "Incorrect?" "Yes. I have spent much time reading your Federation archives and I have decided that our distant relatives are not what they cracked up to be. Both our relatives the Vulcans and the Romulans have strayed from the path." "Path?" Krotak asked her cool demeanour sliding. Jak'dor nodded, pratically ignoring her and addressing Drew and Magellan, "Our peoples are genetically similar but we are so different. The Vulcans discarded their emotion, they let fear of violence and agression deprive them of a persons strongest assest, and the Romulans, they fueled their agression to build empires and rule over others, neither is our way." "Your way seems to be to hide" "Hiding seemed the most prudent, our ways are in advance of yours, you would have attacked us taken what you wanted. That we couldnt not allow. No Senator, there will be no accord between our peoples, we have chosen the Federation. Perhaps when your ways are mended we can talk again" "Our ways!... you arrogant..."Krotak seethed unable to articulate, "You will find the Romulan Empire will not be slighted. As you are so certain I see no need to continue this charade. Good Night gentlemen" With that Krotak stalked from the room pulling a Welcome Senator banner down as she left.
Krotak stormed her way to her quarters in a blind fury. The arrogance of that man. A man from a tiny race, one that barely survived. One that held untold treasures. She would have their technology or die trying. Once in her quarters she opened a secure and encrypted comm line. "Commander plans have changed, we are going to plan B. You must bring your commandos aboard - secretly and kidnap their holy child - D'Beren, he is under the care of our misguided Ambassador. If he gets in the way kill him, take him, whatever I dont want him to be a problem." "Understood senator. It will be done tonigh"

"It would appear that you are indeed correct", Saarok replied as he gave the boy back to Tedak
"I hope that the Senator is not disturbing you to much?", Saarok asked awaiting for Tedak’s reply
<Tag Tedak>
--Meanwhile with Paul--
Paul was talking with some possible future clients, the diplomatic party was good for making connections and that was the only reason he always attended parties like this one. After he greeted some more acquaintances he walked by Ambassador Tedak and Senator Krotak, and managed to overhear their conversation.
So they had some plan that included the Debrune, interesting Paul thought but he could not allow their plan to interfere with his, for now he will keep this to himself and keep an eye on the Senator. After he greeted a few more people he quietly slipped out hoping no one would notice his early departure but he had other matters to tend to. While he was heading back to his quarters to prepare the transmission of the meeting he received a comm. message from one of his people who were watching senator Krotak.
=/\=Castellan here go ahead=/\=
=/\=Senator Krotak just stormed out of the party, she looked really angry even for a Romulan=/\=, the man said
=/\=Understood, stay around a bit longer in case she returns=/\=
This didn’t sound good. Paul never liked Romulans but he knew that when they got angry things did not look to bright.
=/\=Castellan to K'Tor=/\=
=/\=K'Tor here go ahead sir=/\=
=/\=Assign a man to watch over ambassador Tedak, and don’t ask me why I can’t go on about it over an unsecured line, just get it done=/\=
=/\=Understood, K'Tor out=/\=
As he was trying to figure out what the senator wanted he received another message.
=/\=Castellan here=/\=
=/\=The senator has just stormed in her office, knocking over some people and did not even stop to apologize=/\=
=/\=Did you expect her to apologize, are you feeling fine?=/\=
=/\=Yes sir, sorry sir, no I didn’t expect her to apologize but we have detected a transmission from her quarters, destination and contents of the message are encoded and cant be analyzed.=/\=
=/\=What do you find odd about that after all she is a Senator and you know how Romulans are about their transmissions=/\=
=/\=But sir, if you get two and two together, I believe she sent a message to Ambassador Tedak and that the two are plotting something. =/\=
=/\=We will know soon enough I have a man following Tedak and we are monitoring her as well. But you are right something is not right here, just keep your eye on her, Castellan out=/\=
This was getting more odd and odd by the second what could the two be up to, he knew that Tedak was not the most favorite person in the empire but perhaps he was offered something he could not refuse and has agreed to help the senator. Either way this could cause problems, problems he did not need.
=/\=Castellan to K'Tor=/\=
=/\=The practice for our next diplomatic assignment we had arranged for tonight is of=/\=
=/\=But sir?=/\=
=/\=Something has come up see to it that you inform everyone that i will not need the holodeck tonight=/\=
=/\=Aye sir, I will inform him right away.=/\=
Now after sorting that entire thing, he thought that maybe coming to Assailant to deal with the situation personally wasn’t one of his best decisions. Still thinking about what Tedak and Krotak were planning he made way to his office, he would need to inform Ambassador Saarok that his friend was plotting something, something that could be dangerous.
--Meanwhile the mayor--
Mayor Simeth was resting in his office he was going over the reports and fixing some figures so that perhaps Castellan would take longer to asses that he was stealing from him. Just as he was about to sort out the final preparations for the meeting he was contacted by K'Tor who told him via an encrypted message that the meeting was of. Although a bit shocked Simeth was glad it meant that Castellan would be taken care of even before he gets a chance to do something to him. The ship will be here in 40 hours and then Castellan would be taken care of he sent another cryptic message to his associates using the secret program which erased all evidence of a message ever being sent.

“What a charming woman,” Drew said dryly to Magellan and Jak'dor, as the Senator stormed out of the Fishtank, knocking two Ensigns to the floor.
“Jak’dor, are you sure that was wise?” Magellan asked, worry deep in his voice, “the Romulans are not the nicest of people, but they are better friends than enemies.”
“We shall not have anything to do with them!” the Debrune leader said sternly, “I refuse to dirty my people, and our planet by associating with that race of killers.”
Drew and Magellan both exchanged looks, a diplomatic crisis of this magnitude was going to require all the people skills they had.
“The Romulans have a proud and noble culture,” Drew said, “please don’t allow political differences to stand in the way of a valuable cultural exchange.”
“With the deepest respects Admiral, my decisions as leader of my people are no concern of yours,” Jak’dor said most crossly.
“Forgive me, I meant no disrespect,” Drew said, his tone remaining neutral, “I am simply trying to help both your people, and the Romulan people, surely the Romulans can only benefit from your influence?”
However, before Jak’dor could answer, there was a loud explosion from the front of the Fishtank, instantly, Drew and Magellan both spun round, there Starfleet training coming to fore. As people screamed, a group of humanoids in black phaser armour stormed the room, firing disrupters into the crowds.
“Tomlinson to Security,” Drew heard the Security Chief yelling, “Request all teams to the Fishtank, we have a code red situation.”
Drew heard a loud wining noise coming from behind him, as he turned to face the problem, he was met with a blinding white light, and then he found himself flat on his back on the floor. A quick glace to his side showed him Magellan was also down next to him, on top of them lay a young Security Officer.
“Magellan?” Drew croaked, his voice was suddenly dry.
“I am alright,” Magellan answered, “what happened?”
“I don’t know,” Drew didn’t finish his sentence as he noticed a pool of blood around him, he looked at the young man who had pulled both Drew and Magellan to the floor to escape the bomb to find him bleeding badly.
“Medics!” he cried out urgently, he wanted to get up, but he knew that if he or Magellan moved it could worsen the young man’s serious injuries. Around him he could hear the cries of panicked people, but thankfully no sounds of disrupter fire, and then he heard one voice louder than all the others, one very familiar voice.
“My son!” Tedak yelled out, “my son!, they have taken my son!”

Alarms blared wildly, the lights had dimmed to red and like a kicked ants nest people ran hither and thither to consoles. Zoilip stood quietly and calmly in the centre of the maelstrom, he had been a security officer most of his life, emergencies were his job. "Report" he barked raising his tone a notch to cut through the noise. "We are registering an explosion in the Fishtank and multiple weapons fire." Sandra Nelson replied from the Ops console. Since Abrens death in the alternate universe Sandra Nelson had been filling the position of Strat Ops officer remarkably well. "Security?" "Already en route. Requested on site by Admiral Drew" "Casualties?" "Unknown, theres been a request for medics." "Negative. Hold back on medics until we know the site is secure. We can transport them in once Tomlinson gives us an okay." "We have another problem" Alari the Tiburonese engineer exclaimed as he dashed through the door, "The explosion has cracked the firshtank dock window" "How bad?" "Bad, if the crack continues it will fail in minutes" "Is the bay pressurised?" "No. The Raven only just arrived its still in mid cycle." "How long?" Zoilip asked "Another 8 minutes to earth standard." "Forcefields?" "I ll try" Alari nodded and ran to a console.
***
Magellan lay next to Drew, "I cant see much from here...you?" "Just the ceiling everythings happening...above us" "Any idea who pulled us back?" Paul turned his head to one side, "Its a command officer thats all I can tell and hes bleeding bad. I cant tell where and I think if we move he'll haemorrage more." "I ll have somes ones neck for this" Magellan grunted, "This seems to happen to often on my station. I ll see if I can check a pulse." Magellan lifted an arm and ran it over his head seeking an arm or throat. "No good. Did I hear Tedak shouting?" "I think so. I m not even sure the attackers are gone." "Well we cant lie here, even if it means the life of this officer. We may have to act, we have the entire diplomatic staff here." "I think its a smash and grab" "I cant hear any demands so not hostage takers." "Well I ll give it a few secs. I can't stay up here while theres trouble. perhaps we could do an emergency beam out?" "But without knowing who he is how can we tell them which comm badge to lock onto." "Good point, we could give him one of ours" "Perhaps the transport would kill him, first rule of triage, dont move the body.." "Round in circles" magellan sighed.

--In Pauls office--
Paul was just about to contact Ambassador Saarok over the comm. when someone attempted to contact him.
=/\=Kentril to Ambassador Castellan=/\=
=/\=Castellan here, go ahead=/\=, no response came
=/\=Kentril do you hear me=/\=, Paul said slowly becoming worried, and as he was about to close the channel an explosion could be heard over the comm. line before it went dead.
I am afraid my worst fears have come through, those Romulans did something. But what could he do.
=/\=Castellan to K’Tor=/\=
=/\=K'Tor here=/\=, the Klingon said just before the red alert alarms sounded on the base instructing all civilians to remain in their offices or quarters
=/\=Get to my office now, something terrible has happened.=/\=
=/\=Ill be there soon, K’Tor out=/\=
After that was done the officer watching over the Romulan senator contacted Paul and told him about the alarms. After Paul told him what occurred the man informed him that just moments ago some odd energy spike came from the Senators quarters but he presumed it to be a variation in the EPS grid.
=/\=I don’t like it, keep an eye on her and under no circumstances are you to let her get out of your sight not even for a moment=/\=
=/\=Understood sir.=/\=
=/\=Castellan out=/\=
--Meanwhile in the Fishtank--
Moments before the explosion Tedak and Saarok were still speaking and just when the first bomb detonated Saarok pulled Tedak to the floor.
"It would appear a plasma grenade has detonated outside of the door, presumably someone is trying to enter without authorization.", Saarok told his friend and the was shocked as to how he knew that he didn’t remember knowing anything about weapons of any sort and now he knew what the sound was
As he was thinking a commando unit broke in and dropped another bomb a flash grenade of some sort that blinded everyone in the room. A few moments later, after his sight returned he could hear Tedak yelling about his son. So this was no ordinary attack they were after the divine child of the Debrune Saarok thought, the damage this will cause. He could not think about it anymore. He pulled himself up and noticed the attackers withdrawing back through the door and closing what was left of the door.
This did not sound good he thought they probably left a surprise of some sort in order to create a distraction long enough for them to get away. Again he was surprised and could not find the logic in his thought how did he know this? He did not understand it. But just then he heard Tomlinson yelling that the attackers left.

Tedak had just been talking to Saarok about the Romulan senator when suddenly a deafening explosion shook the fishtank. Debris were flying everywhere and he felt himself being thrown to the deck. Obviously, Saarok had pulled him down, because the Vulcan was crouching beside him, his ambassadorial robe covered in dust.
Tedak turned to see if his son was all right, but to his horror, the buggy and its occupant were gone. Stricken, he exchanged a look with Saarok then rose to his feet. "My son!" he yelled, despair distinctly audible in his voice, "they've taken my son!"
He grabbed at the nearest security officer and faced him angrily, and fearfully. The Romulan ambassador was not easily intimidated or scared, but if someone touched his family, there was no predicting what he would do. "They've taken my son!" he yelled in the officer's face, "my son is of Debrune descent, and to the Debrune, he is devine..........find him or face my wrath!"
He pushed the officer away and turned. "Magellan!" he roared, "Drew!" He pushed his way through the crowd, not caring that he was shoving people aside as he went. He was sent flying when a tremor went through the deck, and he watched in fear as he saw the crack in the window increase in size.
Tedak saw a blur of teal, followed by more teal. There were many people injured. Tedak had been more fortunate, the only injury was his pride. "Magellan!" he roared again over the tumult, "Drew!"
Only then did he discover the two admirals lying prone on the deck, covered by a severely injured person in command red, and they were flanked by medical officers. If the situation had been different, Tedak would've stood and laughed at them, but since the situation was grave, he didn't.
"They took my son," he said timidly, no longer finding the strength to be angry, "T'Val is never going to forgive me." He felt tears sting in his eyes. "They took my son," he repeated, then noticed the startled look of JakDor. Tedak just stood there, as if he were a lost boy looking for his way home. He gazed down at the admirals. "Please," he begged, 'find him."

Drew looked up at Tedak, looking down at he and Magellan begging for help. The command officer was still unconscious over them, and medics had only just started to arrive. Apparently they had been held off until Tomlinson had given the all clear, so the Nurse had told Drew anyway, she had also said that Tomlinson had charged out of the Fishtank not long after. She couldn’t tell Drew where he had gone, what had happened, or anything useful. All she could tell him was that his blood pressure was high, and that he would probably have a bad headache for a few days.
Drew decided to answer Tedak, rather than tell the Nurse what he thought of her comments.
“Ambassador, please remain calm,” Drew said, as the Nurse waved a medical tricorder over him.
“Paul’s right,” Magellan said, as another Nurse treated the small cut on his forehead, “if we start to panic, it will only delay things.”
As more medics crowed round them to treat the injured crewmember over them, Drew lost sight of Tedak, he could still hear the Ambassador’s voice however, saying in very colourful words what he thought about remaining calm.
“Do you know what happened yet? Magellan asked Drew, as they both tried to keep there eyes away from the medical operation taking place over them.
“Not a clue, all they can tell me is my condition.”
“Same here,” Magellan answered, “apparently, I should just relax.”
“Would be good advice,” Drew said seriously, “perhaps we should take a few days R&R?”
“Maybe,” Magellan answered, “it’s not as if we are much use at the moment.”
“I’ll be sure to note that in my log,” Drew chuckled.
“Well!” Tedak demanded, coming back into the Admiral’s line of sight, “what are you going to do about my son!”

Magellan finally snapped, "Nurse. Remove this body now. Transport him, whatever but Ineed to be on my feet." "one moment sir. I m just applying a stauncher to his wound. And I d really like Dr Mercy to loo..." "Now" Magellan nearly growled, "I m sorry if this is dangerous for him but there are other lives at stake. I m the ranking officer and I take responsibility" "Okay Sir, I think I can roll him now. If you and Admiral Drew could help" Together the three of them rolled the near lifeless body over. Struggling to their feet the two admirals straigthend their blood soaked uniforms and looked at the carnage about them. "Admiral please, my son" Tedak whined, "Indeed" Jak'dor growled, "Please we have little enough information at the moment. Drew I think we better get to ops. Security escort Tedak and Jak'dor to conference room c. Lily update us as we walk. Oh and have a head count made." With that Magellan left.

Reluctantly, Tedak followed the security detail towards the conference room, while quietly talking to JakDor who seemed just as distressed as he was. Angrily, he slapped away the hand of a junior security officer who was taking the headcount order a little too seriously, and who apparently seemed to remember how a headcount was performed in kindergarten.
"I am really sorry about this," Tedak said. Most of his anger had now subsided and had made way for extreme sadness. "I really don't know how this could happen, D'Beren was sitting in the buggy all the time and he has never left my sight."
Distressed, the Romulan diplomat fidgeted with the sleeves of his formal robe. "I must let T'Val know," he suddenly exclaimed, startling the Debrune Elder from his own thoughts, "I wouldn't be fair not to." Bewildered, he gazed at the nearest console, and started to send the message. Then he noticed Nut sitting on the desk as if he were far away with his thoughts. "Nut has apparently already told Yade," he remarked sadly, "Oh I hope they find my son. If anything has happened to him, woe those who have harmed him for they shall not come away alive!"
He swirled around. "Lily, send message I just recorded. Priority One, over the diplomatic channels to Healer T'Val, CMO USS Jefferson."
"Yes Teeedak," Lily replied, "message sent." Lily paused for a long moment. "I am not detecting your son aboard Assaillant," she then said, sounding extremely said and apollogetic.
"It's all right Lily," Tedak said softly, wishing right now that he could hold her again, and find comfort in the presence of her. To him, Lily still felt as a younger sibling that needed to be cared for. "It's not your fault, if anyone, I blame the security department for their lack of attention and intelligence."
Tedak shot an angry glare at the security personnel surrounding both himself and JakDor. If looks could kill, all of them would be dropping dead there they were standing.

The two doctors had been continuing their conversation and had stepped out from the main reception area of the Fishtank when all hell had broken loose. The station was now on red alert and the Debrune child had been kidnapped. It took a moment for security to let Dr. Mercy and Dr. Kahn back into the main hall. When they did, Stuart could see a nurse was trying to get a Vulcan casualty to be transported to the infirmary.
“I’ll take over from here, thanks! Just let me have your tricorder for his life signs.” The nurse that was tending to the command officers wounds handed over the tricorder and stood by, just now realizing what all had transpired here. Dr. Kahn went over to comfort her.
Stuart tapped on his comm badge. “Transporter Chief. I need an emergency medical transport directly to the infirmary, one patient and myself.”
=/\= Stand by doctor…energizing. =/\=
The familiar blue shimmer enveloped his sight, and when it had disappeared he found himself next to one of the bio beds. Nurse Tsomba and another medic came rushing to assist in getting the patient immobilized and onto the bed.
Stuart activated the clamshell scanner of the bed. The patients life signs were displayed on an MSD located at the head of the bed. It seemed that this officer had taken the brunt of the blast near his midsection where he had been bleeding profusely. The bleeding had been stopped with the help of the medics and nurse on the scene, and there didn’t seem to be any more hemorrhaging.
“Lily, could you please identify this patient.”
< His bio signature matches LtCmdr T’Lor, Commander of Security Station Alpha. He is a Vulcan. >
“I can see that. Thank you, Lily. Jill, would you please retrieve his medical file!” Nurse Jill Tsomba went to the medical archives and did just that. T’Lor was critical but stable. Stuart took some time out to go over his medical records. It was imperative that he was aware of any medical conditions such as allergies, etc.

After Saarok got of the ground and seen that Tedak has already ran of he took a moment to calm his mind he still was not aware how exactly he recognized the device that detonated simply by hearing it? But that had to wait for now. He got up and looked around for his guard, he found him few moments later and he was dead. The first blast sent metal fragments flying towards him and he did not survive as one of the medics informed him. Saarok thought of his pet, Aeris and a moment later she appeared next to him.
A few moments later he found out where Tedak was, he was with Jak'Dor and was being escorted by security to one of the conference halls on the ops level. After sneaking past some more medical officers who would only provide an unnecessary distraction seeing he was perfectly fine he made way to the VIP quarters level. After arriving there he chimed on the door which belonged to the supporters occupied by ambassador Castellan.
"Paul"; Saarok said when he entered
"Sir"; Castellan said to the man when he saw him
"I assume you have some info about what has just happened?", he asked
"Not too much, I presume that the Romulan Senator is involved in it as we picked up an encoded transmission from her quarters just moments before the attack and then again moments after it was over, I would dare to assume she was contacting someone who had something to do with this. I have also suspected ambassador Tedak of plotting something with her but now as his child was taken I daresay that she will use it as a bargaining chip in order to get what she wants from the ambassador and the Debrune leader Jak'Dor", Paul said
"I see only one flaw in your logic, all of this is not based on solid evidence therefore is of no use to us at the moment as we can not jeopardize the relations with the Romulans solely based on this.", Saarok said
"I trust you have contacted your people on Romulus?", Saarok asked which resulted in him raising an eyebrow on again not knowing where or how he knew that Paul had people on Romulus? He would have to reflect on this at a later time.
"I have contacted those diplomats that do not want the relations between the federation and Romulus to deteriorate but they were unable to give me any interesting info as the senators’ mission is not clear enough. And has been kept classified therefore out of their reach.", Paul added
"Interesting, I trust you will continue monitoring the senator and her actions closely. ", Saarok asked
"Of course we will not let her out of our sight", Paul said
And with that Saarok went out of Pauls quarters and once outside two of his new guards joined him. As they proceeded to join Tedak and Jak'Dor in the conference hall on the ops. level.
Meanwhile Paul, after Saarok departed, returned to discussing more private matters with K'Tor and his men.
"This will ruin my plans as a matter of fact it already has, and those Romulans will pay for this. This is the last time that I allow their actions to endanger my own. ", he said to Jak’Dor
"Keep an eye on that Romulan senator and once she makes a suspicious move again, I will pay her another visit. In the mean time what have you found out about Simeth", he asked the computer expert who was monitoring his computer.
"Sir, I will check on the people who are monitoring the romulan"; K’Tor said
"Good, let me know the moment she moves or you pick up strange visitors or readings from her office. ", Paul added as K’Tor left

OOC: Joint post by Me and Tedak
Magellan was not amused by what had happened not amused at all. There seemed to be no trace of the kidnappers. How they got aboard and away without being noticed was worrying. It meant this was a professional job, very professional, the type that was government sponsored. "Zoilip, begin a log of all raffic in and out of the system. Drew can you check in with the diplomats, help tomlinson compile a story of what happened here tonight."
***
Krotak sat smugly in her quarters aware of what had transpired and revelled in it all. She had done her homework well and now for the finale. She rose and left the room, "Computer Where is Tedak?" "Tedak is in conference room 3" "Thankyou" ensKrotak made her way to the room pausing outside to attach a small device to the console. The small, seemingly innocous piece of technology was a wave guide inhibitor, it would disable all computer feeds and ensure the next conversation was completely private, not even their sentient computer AI would be able to break through the intereference. She walked brazenly in. "Ill make this brief Ambassador. Your loyalty is pitiful and I found it necessary to act now. I have your son." Tedak whirled around at suddenly hearing the senator's voice behind him. "You what!?" he managed, barely able to hide that he'd been startled by her voice. His eyes were ablaze with anger as he faced the woman. "I would control that anger or else you may never see him again. now listen to me carefully you still have a choice. Are you ready to listen?" "I do not deal with people who resort to kidnapping when they want to get something done," Tedak said through clenched teeth, "I have every faith that Starfleet Security will recover my son." "HAH" Krotak snorted derisivly, "Starfleet dont have a clue. And you have very few options. I used a Zintar Commando team - and you know how well they work..." Tedak frowned, he didn't recall ever hearing of a Zintar Commando, but he wouldn't give Krotak the satisfaction of that. Instead, he peered intently at Sev, who say bristling behind the senator and he shook his head ever so slightly. "As I said, I do not deal with terrorists. If you wanted something from me, you could have asked like any normal person would have. That you resort to terrorism tells more about you, than about me senator."
Krotak smiled, "how noble, how... misplaced. I find it hard to believe you can accept your sons death so easily, because thats what you are condeming him to. But then he isnt your son is he. Not even romulan. Here is the deal - You either get the technology - ideally their reactor designs - tonight or else D'Beren dies." "You try," Tedak hissed, his eyes narrowing as he gazed at Krotak, his hand moving slowly towards the Honour Blade he kept hidden in the folds of his robe. He nodded towards Sev, who hovered above the senator. "Kill my son, and I vow I will hunt you down senator. And he is my son, maybe not of my blood, but he is my son." "You try," Tedak hissed, his eyes narrowing as he gazed at Krotak, his hand moving slowly towards the Honour Blade he kept hidden in the folds of his robe. He nodded towards Sev, who hovered above the senator. "Kill my son, and I vow I will hunt you down senator. And he is my son, maybe not of my blood, but he is my son." "Unlike you I will do anything for teh Empire, if thats my death then so be it. Your vow means nothing to me. You have 12 hours - Tell anyone, He dies, try and get to me, he dies. If I dont enter a code every 30mins in to a concealed padd, he dies. in fact do anything and I mean ANYTHING other than get that information and he dies. Good night Ambassador and Good luck." Tedak's hand moved quickly as he threw his blade, causing it to land into the wall just in front of Krotak's nose just prior to her walking out. "Unlike you senator, I work with integrity and honour, working towards a better Empire the peaceful way. Yes, we are a warlike people, but if we wish to better the Empire we need to see allies that believe in peace rather than war. Kill my son, and you are next...and next time, I will not miss." Krotak turned barey perturbed by the blade. She reached up and plucked the blade down She looked at it carefully turningit over in her hands, "I needed something to use to kill the child when the time comes, this will do nicely. Good day Tedak, and please dont make me kill and innocent child, the blood will be on your hands" and with that she was gone removing the computer blocker as she went.

Stunned, Tedak watched in horror as she pulled his blade from the wall and took it with her on her way out. He found himself paralyzed with fear as he watched her leave; he wanted to run after her, and retrieve his weapon but his legs wouldn't move. ~what have I done?~ he thought.
"Lily...." He started then trailed off.
"Yes Teeedak?" Lily replied sweetly, "is there something wrong? You sound as if you've just heard some very bad news. You were out of reach for several minutes."
Tedak dearly wished to answer his friend, but the threat still hung audibly in the air. Warn anyone and the child dies. Yet he couldn't not warn anyone, as the entire Federation was at stake. ~the needs of the many~ he thought weakly. He gazed at his bronze, and then sent it to Magellan while he exited the conference room in search of Saarok.
"Saarok?" Tedak called into the Vulcan's office. Slowly, he walked into the office, but fear was still holding him in it's grip. "Saarok, I know who kidnapped my son," he said timidly, "I am being threatened with his death if I tell anyone, and I fear I am under surveilance....."
The Romulan sat down in the nearest chair and gazed up at his friend, desperate for assistance, but his hands were tied. He sighed. "And they will use my own weapon to kill him. I have been stupid. What must I do now?"

"I had very little doubt that we shall soon find out who has kidnapped your son", Saarok said
"I conclude that they want something from you or even the Debrune, am I not correct?", Saarok said and resumed without awaiting for confirmation
"How much time do you have to do what they are asking?", Saarok asked
<Tag Tedak>
"I see", Saarok replied
"You are going to need to do what they are asking from you, if i am not incorrect and logic states that I am not, they will become too sure of themselves with time and eventually make a mistake a mistake on which security will be able to act on and bring back your son"; Saarok said
"But now you need to tell me what do they want from you, i need to know before i can provide any further advice on the matter.", Saarok said while looking at Tedak
<Tag Tedak>
--Meanwhile in ambassador Castellans quarters--
=/\=Sir, something odd has just happened=/\=
=/\=Odd, how do you mean odd?=/\=
=/\=The romulan senator has just went inside a conference room on the ops level, however when we attempted to scan the interior it appeared to be empty as no one was inside. The tricoder and scanners were blank=/\=
=/\=A malfunction?=/\=
=/\=Negative sir after she went out we ran another scan and it showed ambassador Tedak inside=/\=
=/\=So ambassador Tedak and Krotak were having a convo they wanted to keep to themselves, interesting. =/\=
=/\=Keep monitoring her and let me know when you have any news.=/\=
=/\=Understood, out=/\=
And with that the convo ended. Paul took a few moments to consider what he knew so far, there was certainly something odd happening with the senator, and he had to find out what it was. And unless something happens real soon, he would need to resort to some things which were not perfectly acceptable in the general society.

"Twelve hours," Tedak said, but his voice was barely audible as he said it, "twelve hours, or they will kill him."
Tedak hesitated, he had no doubt that someone was listening in, no matter how tight security was on Saarok's office. "I can't," he said slowly, "I can't tell you. But I fear that even if I do what they demand, they will kill my son anyway."
The Romulan cast a desperate look at his Vulcan friend. Saarok was probably the only person he trusted, despite his fishy past. It wasn't as if his own past was exactly clean, and now it was coming back to haunt him. "What am I going to tell T'Val?" he finally whispered, sitting down opposite of his friend, "I have already told her he has been kidnapped, I would never hold such information from her. But what if they kill him? She will be devastated, especially because she cannot conceive."
Suddenly Tedak had an idea that gave him a little hope, but how to inform his friend without alerting anyone? "I can't remember what they want from me," he suddenly said out loud, "I am supposed to contact someone, but I can't remember." He looked desperate, but his gaze at Saarok was hopeful, hoping that his friend understood what he was on about.
Then, he suddenly rose to his feet and grabbed the front of Saarok's robes. "It is you," he suddenly said, rage clearly visible on his face, "you've got him. Traitor!" He tightened his grip on the Vulcan's robe, pulling him closer. He knew that Saarok would understand, eventually.
<Saarok>
Nut tugged at Tedak's sleeve in anger, trying to pull his bondmate away from the other person. "Go away," Tedak growled, "go to Dinas. Keep that bronze company for a little while." When Nut didn't obey, Tedak swatted at his loyal pet, gazing at him darkly. "Obey me!"
Nut chittered and winked out, only to re-appear before Magellan, who was just tending to the flaking skin of his little bronze. The brown chittered angrily, causing the little bronze to sit up on his haunches and chitter back, his eyes going from a relaxed blue to an alarmed yellow.

When Tedak "attacked" Saarok and accused him of kidnapping his son even tough he knew perfectly well that he had nothing to do with it, lead Saarok to the logical conclusion that someone was probably watching them and that Tedak could not speak of it out of the fear of being overheard. Saarok knew what his friend was aiming at and he hoped, yes hoped that his ability was restored enough for him to do this.
While Tedak was holding him close he put his hand on the mans head and mumbled some words silently while trying to concentrate it was not easy for him, and it took a lot more of concentration than he would logically expect but eventually he managed to do it and he pushed Tedak away from him after he was done.
"Ambassador calm yourself", he told him after he pushed him back
"The incident appears to have affected you much more than you expected, perhaps you should rest and think of, what you have just sensed", Saarok told him hoping that he would understand that he was referring to the thought he transferred to him during the mind meld and which reflected on how they should proceed next
It was obvious that the senator did not know how the Debrune reactor worked or anything more of it so therefore would not be able to ascertain if the plans were correct or not but that was of little importance as that was only a decoy. The real plan was a bit more complicated but in this case the needs of one were greater than the needs of many.

Tedak glared at his friend, as in his mind he sensed Saarok telling him about what he needed to do as he also read what had transpired before with the Senator. The side of his face where Saarok was touching him felt hot, and he knew Saarok was expending a lot of energy on even attempting this and he was grateful for it.
However as he was certain that he was being monitored he couldn't just leave after Saarok released him and pushed him back. "No," he growled, grabbing the front of Saarok's robe again, "you're involved in this."
Just as he pulled his friend closer, twisting the fistful of cloth as he did so, the door burst open and Admiral Drew barged in, two complaining security men in tow.

From his own station towards the right side of Operations, Drew could see all the alpha staff that had been called to duty.
His wife Joanna was busy at the science station, taking detailed scans of the area around SBA. Sandra Nelson was just as busy at Strategic Operations, although her scans were of all the ships in the area. Simon Tomlinson had also made a rare appearance at Ops, taking over the security console, there he was analysing all the detail on the attacks. In the centre of the deck, looking very concerned, worried, and annoyed all at once was Magellan.
Magellan's eyes darting down at the command and control table in front of him. Sitting either side of the Admiral were two firelizards, one of whom Drew was sure was Tedak’s, judging by the noise they were making, something was going on.
“If there is anything out there, I can’t find it,” Joanna complained, hitting her console in annoyance.
“Same with the ships,” Sandra said, her voice was hard, although she didn’t hit anything, “they are all checking out clean.”
“Well, we have the most advanced systems in the sector,” Drew said, keying more commands into his console, “if there is anything to find, we will find it.”
“Well, so far, the security logs are proving little use,” Simon quipped in, “whoever they were, they knew our systems.”
“Any sign that anything has been tempered with?” Drew asked, “Maybe they have disabled some of the systems.”
“Not possible,” Chief Alari, the Tiburonese Maintenance Officer, said “my people would have known if anything had gone wrong with our systems.”
“Simon,” Joanna said, looking over from her science station, “do you think this could be related to what happened to Tammy this afternoon?”
Simon’s cheeks seemed to go a bright shade of pink as he looked up at Mrs. Drew.
“How do you mean?” he asked.
“Well, someone did try to kidnap her,” Joanna said, “she is after all an Admiral’s daughter, just like Tedak’s son is an Ambassador’s child.”
“It is possible,” Simon said, “I’ll have to review my notes from Tammy’s interview.”
“Speaking of which,” Drew said, joining the conversation, “I would like to review the recording on the interview.”
“Really?” Simon asked, “That’s unusual.”
“But not unheard of,” Drew said, “Joanna could be right; this could all be connected somehow.”
“Well, I don’t have time at the moment,” Simon said, his voice going higher, “but I’ll arrange for them to be on your desk tomorrow afternoon.”
“Very good,” Drew said, turning his attention back to his console.
It was then Drew realised that the two firelizards were making even more noise than before, Magellan as well was starting to speak more loudly to them. Drew did his best not to listen in, but he could gather that it was all related to Tedak and Saarok.
“Paul,” Magellan suddenly said, approaching Drew’s station, “get down to Saarok’s office with a small security detail, I think we may have a problem.”
Drew nodded his head, and left his station, he tapped two security officers on the shoulder as he passed them.
“You two, with me,” he ordered, stepping into the turbolift.
Minutes later, they were approaching Saarok’s personal offices, Drew wondered briefly where Saarok’s constant security guard was, before making his entrance into the room.
Walking into the room, he was shocked at what he saw; Tedak was attacking Saarok!
“Ambassador Tedak!” Drew bellowed, “You are all ready in enough trouble for punching an Admiral, release the Ambassador or I will have my team stun you.”
Tedak and Saarok both turned round shocked, clearly neither heard Drew nor the security team arrive. At once Tedak released Saarok, and looked nervously around the room.
“Does someone want to explain to me just what is going on?” Drew demanded, glaring at both men before him.

Bewildered, Tedak gazed at the clearly annoyed human admiral. However as soon as the human asked what was going on, he was grinding his teeth angrily. He exchanged a glance with Saarok, and seemingly the Vulcan was also relieved that their little scene was broken up, conveniently by the admiral.
A little embarassed, he stared at his feet, avoiding the admiral's glare. "I can't," he said, "this is between Ambassador Saarok and myself."
<Drew>
"I just said it was between Saarok and me," Tedak roared, shoved Drew aside and stormed out of the office. Judging from the footsteps behind him, Drew had followed him, and was about to overtake him.
The Romulan felt a hand on his shoulder and he was roughly spun around. Angrily, Tedak brushed the hand off. "Don't touch me," he growled.
<Drew>
"I said don't touch me, and don't ask what transpired in there because I can't say!" Now, he was almost pleading with the admiral. "Please, don't ask."
<Drew>
Tedak turned his back on the admiral and rushed off, hoping the admiral wouldn't follow him. He had only 6 hours left if he wanted to save his son, and he had already alerted two persons too many for his comfort. He didn't need a third to be on the alert. As he rushed on, he didn't notice base crew staring afer him. He was some sight, his robes were disarranged and his hair was looking as if someone had purposefully ruffled it. He was looking as if he was a human who was seasick, so pale was he, and he seemed oblivious to the rest of the world because he ran crew over without so much as an apollogy.
At last, and out of breath, he reached the transporter room. "Qualinost," he panted, "send me down to Qualinost right away." When the operator refused, Tedak brought down the flat of his hand on the man's neck and he fell down without a sound. Briefly, he fiddled with the controls and then found the delay sequence and beamed himself down.
Fifteen minutes later, Tedak was back in his quarters, holding on tight to a PADD containing the schematics of the Debrune reactor. Nervously, he waited for Krotak to show up. He was tense and sitting on his couch at full alert, expecting security to barge in at any second as he hadn't really made an effort to keep his presence a secret.
He literally jumped when someone knocked on his door.
<Krotak?>

Drew waited patiently for one of the Ambassadors to answer him, behind Drew the two security guards had their hands hovering over there phasers.
“Well?” Drew asked, folding his arms.
“I can’t,” Tedak replied, “this is between Ambassador Saarok and myself."
“Forgive me for disagreeing Ambassador; but if two diplomats from different Governments are fighting on this station, it makes it my business.”
“I just said it was between Saarok and myself,” Tedak roared angrily, and then stormed past Drew out of the room. Not missing a beat, Drew stormed after him, security guards in tow.
“Stand by with your phasers,” he whispered to the two guards, as he put a hand on Tedak’s shoulder. The Ambassador turned round angrily, and with a rage of emotion on his face, pulled Drew’s hand away.
“Don’t touch me!” Tedak bellowed.
“Ambassador calm down,” Drew said in a commanding tone, again he put a hand on Tedak, trying to calm him.
“I said don’t touch me!” Tedak again roared, and don't ask what transpired in there because I can't say!" his voice became more shaken as he spoke, and then he said weakly, "Please, don't ask."
And with that, Tedak charged down the corridor.
“Lily, trace movements of Ambassador Tedak,” Drew ordered, slapping his comm badge.
Drew glared at the two security officers who were standing dumbstruck behind him.
“Don’t just stand there!” Drew roared, “get after him!”
The two yellow shirted security officers ran down the deck, in the general direction Tedak had been heading. Drew meanwhile was busy keying commands into the computer system, trying to locate Tedak who was moving quickly through the station. A warning alarm told him someone had just beamed off the station.
“Lily, who just beamed down to Qualinost?” Drew demanded, realising that Lily hadn’t responded to his first request to trace Tedak. Again Lily didn’t reply.
“Have it your way,” Drew said, and keyed in more commands into his console, within a few seconds he had locked Lily out of all the major systems on the station, whatever Lily was, she was still a computer, and a Starfleet one at that.
“Bowler to Admiral Drew,” came the voice of one of the guards Drew had sent after Tedak. “Go ahead,” Drew replied.
“Sir, we have found the transporter chief unconscious, Ambassador Tedak seems to have beamed down to the surface.
“Drew to Tomlinson,” Drew barked into his comm badge, “send a full security detail to the last transport coordinates.”
Deciding his best place to be was Ops, Drew started the run back to the central command deck. He hadn’t realised just how far he had chased Tedak, and at Drew’s age excessive running was not always a good thing. Doing his best not to pant, Drew decided to take a few well controlled deep breaths, especially as he saw two young Ensigns approaching.
“Sir, are you alright?” one of them asked concerned.
“Fine, fine,” Drew said, forcing a smile, “just having an evening walk, please, carry on Ensign.”
Drew waited until the two were gone, before resuming his speedy jog to Ops, he was half way when his comm badge again chirped.
“Admiral, we can find no sign of the Ambassador, we believe he has returned to the station.”
“Wonderful,” Drew muttered to himself, “just wonderful.”
There was still a security team down in the diplomatic sections, so Drew knew Tedak hadn’t returned there, the only place he could be was his quarters.
“Security, meet me at Ambassador Tedak’s quarters,” Drew called into his comm badge, changing direction and running back the way he had came. By the time he had reached Tedak’s quarters, which were two decks down, Drew was well and truly out of breath. He would have used the turbolfit, but he couldn’t be sure that Lily would let him travel where he wanted, besides that the lifts might not be safe after the explosions. The security team was already waiting for Drew when he arrived, composing himself as best he could, he banged on Tedak’s door.
The door whisked open to revel a very freighted looking Tedak, who was clutching a padd in his hand, judging by his reaction, Drew was the last person he was expecting.
“No where to run this time Ambassador,” Drew said, as his security team blocked the exit, “I am placing you under arrest, for assault on a Starfleet Officer, and illegal use of Federation property, namely the transporter systems of this station, and its computer system Lily.”
“You can’t arrest me,” Tedak said desperately, “I have diplomatic immunity.”
“Under the agreement between our Governments, and Interstellar Law, I can arrest you for committing criminal acts against the United Federation of Planets,” Drew said sharply, “pending review by the Federation Council, and the Romulan Senate, until such time, you can, and will be detained.”
“But you don’t understand!” Tedak cried, as the security officers started to drag him out of his quarters, “I have to save my son! I have to save my son!”
“We are conducting a full search for your son Ambassador, there is nothing you can do,” Drew said, as he watched Tedak be dragged, kicking and screaming down the corridor.

Tedak stood frozen as Drew and two security guards entered his quarters. Realizing he still had the PADD in his hands, he slipped in a pocked concealed in his robe before anyone would think of taking it from him.
“We are conducting a full search for your son Ambassador, there is nothing you can do,” Drew said as the guards dragged him away.
"No!" Tedak cried, fighting against the security guards with all his might, "you are condemning him to death, please!" If they would contact Krotak, she would kill his son; he wasn't supposed to talk to anyone about it, but if they would alert the senator, she would kill him.
"Please don't contact the senate!" he screamed, kicking at the guard who groaned in pain as the Romulan's boot connected painfully with his shin. "Please!"
However his please seemed to be directed at deaf ears because Drew would not budge. The two guards tightened their grips on his arms as they continued to drag him towards the brig. None too kindly, they shoved him in and activated the forcefield that would keep him in.
"No!" Tedak roared, turning and trying to run after them. He was slammed back hard by the forcefield and momentarily dazed, the Romulan fell towards the deck. He heard the guards snicker, which angered him even more. Where were his firelizards when he needed them?
Then he remembered he had sent Nut to inform Dinas, and the brown would not return until the Trill admiral had given Dinas a response to relay to the ambassador's brown firelizard. Tedak couldn't remember if he had sent Sev anywhere, but the little bronze was also not responding.
At last, Tedak sat down on the bench in his cell and buried his face in his hands. "I've condemned him," he whispered over and over again, "T'Val will never forgive me. They'll kill him now, without a doubt."

After Tedak ran out of Saaroks quarters and Drew and his security guards ran after him, Saarok took a moment to reflect on the recent occurrences. A few moments later his guards arrived.
"Where have you been?", Saarok asked his guards as they entered his office
"We, eh, we ....", the guards started but Saarok cut them off
"Never mind that now, we have work to tend to now.", he said as he and the guards went out of his quarters and proceeded towards the quarters of ambassador Castellan.
After a bit of walking they arrived to his quarters where they were greeted by some of the ambassadors personal security force. After the guards recognized Saarok they let him in the quarters of the ambassador.
"Ambassador Saarok", Paul greeted him
"How can I be of assistance", Paul added
"Are the quarters safe, for a private conversation?"; Saarok asked
Paul called over a man that was doing some work at the computer and said a few words to him and after a few moment the man nodded.
"It is now, no one can hear what we are saying and that is 100% certain"; Paul said
After he assured Saarok that their convo was safe, Saarok told him everything he learned from Tedak, about Krotak taking his son about the special Romulan forces that assisted in the kidnapping, everything.
"I see, very interesting, I hope you know ambassador that I will gladly assist you. I also hope you will appreciate my help."; Paul said implying on something that he hoped Saarok would pick up on
"Of course", Saarok said
Just as they were finished with their convo one of the man following Tedak reported back to Paul that Tedak has been arrested.
"It seems your friend is in more trouble than we expected"; Paul said
"And I doubt they would release him if you asked. But do not worry, we will get your friend out.", Paul said
Saarok raised an eyebrow but said nothing. Paul contacted K'Tor and told him to get a few men and come to his office. A few moments later K'Tor arrived with two guards.
"Ah, K'Tor this is what I need you to do.", Paul said as he relayed what he needed him to do
"It will be done, sir", K'Tor said as he went out of his quarters accompanied by the two guards
"Now we need to distract Mr. Drew.", Paul said
"I will see to it", Saarok said as he departed from Pauls office
He contacted Drew over the comm. system and informed him that he needed to speak to him about ambassador Tedak and that he should meet him in the embassy right away as it was urgent. A few minutes later they were sitting in Saaroks office.
"Ah, admiral, it is wise that you have come I have some news that might interest you", Saarok started
--Meanwhile--
K'Tor and the two guars were making way to the brig they had no trouble passing to the security level by using their diplomatic security access codes. After a bit they arrived to the door of the brig. K'Tor went inside while the two of his friends remained outside.
"Ah, a fine restaurant you have here, I want blood wine", he said as he entered the brig the two guards who were there plus the third one who was stationed there at all times looked at him stunned
"What, who....", one of the guards started and before they could say anything more the doors opened and the two guards that he left outside barged in shooting the two guards with the phaser, Meanwhile K'Tor shot the third one even before he could realize what was happening.
"They are all out", one of the guards said
"Good help me get them in the empty cell. You go and release Mr. Tedak.", K'Tor said as he and the other guard picked up the unconscious guards and dragged them to an empty cell but removing their comm. badges and phasers first. The third guard deactivated the forcefield of Tedak's cell releasing him.
"Don't speak", he said to a surprised Tedak. Give me your comm. badge now"
After Tedak gave him his commbadge the guard handed him another one.
"Now give me that pad you are hiding in your robes, no don’t worry I’m not going to take it from you. Ambassador Saarok sends you his regards.", the guard said
After Tedak gave him the pad the guard used his tricoder and made some mods to the contents.
"Now take this and go", the guard said
When Tedak tried to speak the guard showed him out," no time for talk go and do what you need to just try not to bump into admiral Drew ", the guard said as he threw the surprised Tedak out of his cell
After Tedak was out the guard left his comm. badge in Tedak's cell and activated the forcefield. Meanwhile K'Tor and the other guard placed the guards from the brig in a cell and activated the forcefield. They dumped their commbadge and phasers on the other side of the brig and left.
"Another victory for us"; K'Tor said as they were heading out

Tedak was surprised at the break out, but he had just enough sense not to ask who arranged it. If he knew, any telepath or other means of interrogation could extract that information. If he didn't know, there was nothing to extract.
Hurrying down the corridors of Starbase Assaillant, oblivious to various crewmembers staring after him, he raced through various areas. He had no idea where he was supposed to go, and he has no way of contacting Krotak. He couldn't just visit her quarters. Then he had an idea; his escape could bring him past the quarters, and he could slide the PADD under the door, as the PADD was just thin enough to fit.
Seeing this as a sound idea, he continued his run but he was starting to get tired. At last he raced past the senators quarters and only stopped long enough to kick the PADD though the small slit under the door. Then he continued his run, and he was starting to wonder how exactly he could continue to elude security.
Just as he rounded a corner, he saw Drew walking past. He skidded to a halt and turned around, running the other way. He climbed in the nearest Jeffries tube and crawled a few sections, however then he had to take a rest because he had shafed the skin off his hands and his knees were starting to hurt. Exhausted, he leaned against the wall of the tube and briefly closed his eyes. Then, he continued to crawl, but at a slower pace.
