"Zoilip, you know the base, perhaps you and Ezedreiana can go try and get this Lily on line. The rest of us will attempt to find this Divine Child of theirs."
Ezdreiana nodded in agreement, which was quickly followed by everyone else.
"Zoilip what is the fastest way to get to Lily?" Ezdreiana said, wanting to get to work as soon as possible
TAG Zoilip
“Zoilip, Ezdreiana, before you go, where would you hide a child on this base? Do you have any hints as to where we should start?”
"The child will be with his mother and T'Val would undoubtedly hide somewhere she feels no one would look for her," Ezdreiana said thinking of how she would react in her situation. She to only had one child and she was sure she would do anything for her child.
Ezdreiana looked at the Commander and her team, they would need luck finding the Child. "I wish you all success in your endeavors," Ezdreiana said and then joined Zoilip in there very own journey.
"Ambassador, are you armed?" Zoilip asked.
"No, I left my weapon with the Ensign," Ezdreiana answered realizing how foolish that was," if you want I can go back and get another phaser?"
"No, here take one of mine," Zoilip said as he took a phaser from his uniform and handed it Ezdreiana.
"Thank you Commander," Ezdreiana said as she took the phaser and prepared herself for whatever came next.

D'Beren scowled to himself. He was tired and grisly and they were all hungry. There was no real plan of where to go only the desire to keep moving. The Jefferies Connection Room was the size of a small room and acted as a hub for several other corridors and tubes. They sat slumped against one wall.
"Are you certain the Fishtank will be safe for us?" T'Val insisted. She was terribly afraid that someone would turn them in, even though she had to agree with Stuart that the masses would most likely keep them safe. They would stand out less among the masses. There were more Vulcan/Human couples on Assaillant, so seeing another wouldn't be too obvious.
<Mercy>
"I do not think we should go there Stuart," T'Val insisted, not noticing that D'Beren had wandered off several paces. She too was getting extremely tired, but only adrenalin kept her going right now. When she adopted the boy, she'd never have thought that one day they'd be running for their lives, trying to hide him from the very people he belonged to.
<Mercy>
Suddenly a cry made them sit up, and both saw D'Beren being approached by a Romulan. "D'Beren!" she cried, raw fear audible in her voice, "D'Beren come back here!"
She heard Mercy move beside her, aiding her in trying to coax her son back to safety. T'Val edged closer to him, hoping to get him to safety. "Nothing will stop me from protecting my son," she bit back at the Romulan, echoing Mercy's words, "nothing."
The Romulan frowned at them, his attention on Mercy."I'm afraid it will because you will be too busy dealing with her." He levelled his disruptor and shot T'Val, the bright green bolt of energy striking her squarely in the chest and thrusting her backwards like a rag doll.
T'Vals eyes widened as she saw the disruptor leveled at her, her anxiety high as the Romulan inched closer to her son. "I..." she started as the bright green bolt struck her. She felt immense pain in her chest as the beam burned through her uniform, burning her skin as though she was having a bad sunburn. She moaned as she collapsed to the deck, unable to move. It was all she could do to prevent herself from losing consciousness, however she never saw the Romulan leaving with a crying D'Beren.
Stuart gasped and bent to her side, a shadow fell over him and the last thing he saw was the Romulan pick up D'Beren and seal teh door between them.

Stuart was initially torn by the fact that he couldn't help D'Beren now. T'Val was lying here with a disruptor burn right in her chest. Stuart sensed that D'Beren would be fine. They needed him alive for their plans. T'Val was needed alive as well, if not by Stuart then at least by her son D'Beren.
Stuart activated the Bioscanner on his tricorder. While scanning T'Val, it verified that her pulse was elevated but active. She was having difficulty breathing due to the proximity of her wound directly on her chest. Choosing command key alpha, Stuart activated the Radscanner to see if any of her ribs had been damaged or broken...they hadn't. With the Medscanner Stuart could see that her lungs had been severly bruised, which was what was causing the respiratory distress. Stuart had relapsed to his days as an EMT as he had completed these scans within sixty seconds.
Assessments complete, it was time for treatment. The wound was by far from being superficial. "Hang in there T'Val." Stuart reassured her as she was drifting in and out of conciousness. Opening the medkit he had brought along, he placed a vial of Delactovine into the hypospray and proceeded to give T'Val a dose. It would help prevent her from going into shock.
Next came the use of the anabolic protoplaser. Activating it over the damaged tissue, Stuart watched as the phase-modulated lasers and anabolic accelerators were effecting repairs. Most of the tissue was being instantly regenerated. All that was left was a superficial wound that would have to get repaired once they were back at the infirmary.
However, none of this replaced the loss of blood that T'Val had suffered. It hadn't been much as Stuart had been on scene instantly, but it was enough to keep T'Val weak. Stuart needed help. He couldn't think of carrying her alone through these Jeffries tubes, even when she was awake as she would be too weak to assist.
The intruders already knew where he and T'Val were. What did he have to lose? He went ahead and tapped his comm badge that he had stowed away in his pocket. "To anyone who can read me, this is Doctor Mercy. They have taken D'Beren and Healer T'Val is in need of help, she's been shot. I have her stabilized, but I can't move her." Stuart quickly looked around for his location. "We are in Jefferies Tube, Connection Hub 24C. Hurry!" He hoped someone heard him. He knew that he risked the Romulans overhearing and possibly setting a trap for anyone coming, but he had to try.

Drifting back towards consciousness, T'Val caught Stuart's last words. "D'Beren?" Her voice was filled with anxiety and fear. She wasn't in pain, and she couldn't quite figure out what had happened. The last thing she remembered was a tremendous pain in her chest, but she couldn't quite fathom why.
Opening her eyes, she found Mercy staring down at her, his eyes filled with love and concern. "Where is my son?" she asked anxiously, now fully aware that Yade too wasn't responding. Usually, the green hovered about her mistress when she was incapacitated in any way. She became painfully aware that the boy was missing from their presence, and that she was in no way capable of getting up.
She reached up towards her lover, noticing that his tunic was covered in blood, green blood, her blood. "Find him," she pleaded with him, before drifting back into unconsciousness.
Over the next several minutes she woke up a few times, each time asking the same questions, and voicing the same plea.
A brown creature burst into the air just beside Mercy's head, chittering wildly. After a few seconds, the little creature settled on the deck beside the unconscious Vulcan, nuzzling her curiously, then peered up at the human. Nut chirped up at him questioningly, recognizing the human. Next, he hovered before the man, peering at him intently, willing the man to understand.

OOC: This post takes place several days after the Romulans have taken over, this doesn't mean that it's the time that everybody else has to sim in, I just wanted to post and couldn't really do that in the current time frame.
The Galaxy was now undergoing heavy repairs after being towed back to Starbase G-6 by the USS Reliant. Elarus Voran walked down the corridors of G-6 heading for his meeting with the commanding officers of the base.
The doors of the conference room opened and Voran entered. He saw Admiral Gates at the head of the table accompanied by several officers she didn't know.
"Captain Voran, come in. This is Admiral Gleason," she said, indicating a human male, "Captain Sendok," a Vulcan male, "Captain Shrel," an Andorian female "and I believe you know Captain Solis of the Reliant." She finished, indicating the last human male at the table.
"This meeting has been convened," Said Gates, "to determine what course of action to take with regards to the forceful occupation of Starbase 2."
"What to do?" Said Voran, "Isn't it clear what we're gonna do, we've gotta go in there with a fleet and take it back."
"Captain, there are still several avenues that we have not yet fully pursued. We are still in discussions with the Romulan and Debrune governments."
"And how is that progressing?" Said Voran, knowing what the answers would be.
"It is proving...difficult to get any information from the Romulans."
"Trust me Admiral, the Romulan government won't go out of their way to help you. I do have a bit of experience with dealing with Romulans you know..." Said Voran.
"I'm sure that everyone in this room is quite aware of your background in Starfleet." Said Gates, then she softened her voice, "Elarus, I feel the same way you do, but don't you think that an attack on the station could risk lives?"
"I agree with Voran," Solis piped up, "there are more than 200,000 Federation citizens on that Starbase. We don't have any reason to believe that the Romulans will treat them well."
"I understand," Said Gates, "but we must go through the proper diplomatic channels first. In the meantime, we already have a rescue plan in motion. We are mobilising a fleet. We have several starships in Starbase at the moment and we have redirected several more to our position."
"Who will lead the mission?" Asked Sendok.
"If a rescue becomes neccessary, Captain Voran would seem to be the ideal choice." Said Gleason.
"Captain Voran's ship is in pieces." Said Shres.
"The USS Kirk is a relatively new ship and is currently without a command crew and many other crew. Captain Voran, you'll assume command of the Kirk for this mission. Your current orders are take whatever personnel you need from the Galaxy and get the Kirk up and running."
"Aye sir." Said Voran, glad to be doing something at last.
"Dismissed." Said Gates.

Nika nodded when she saw Krythan moving to take care of Sarina. When he had done what he could without being too conspicuous Nika motioned at Krythan and Sarina to follow, as Saarok and herself led the way. They were looking for a less populated area, but Nika also thought it a good idea to stay by the doctor.
As they were searching for the child, Nika felt the walkie-talkie vibrate. She had turned the volume way down, so it wouldn't randomly start talking. She nodded to the others to slow down and stay in the area, or at least she hoped they understood that was what she meant, then slowed down and went around the corner into a less populated area. She found a deserted area, it was isolated and large enough that she could talk, but wouldn't be big enough for Sarina to rest in, if Sarina agreed to rest.
/*/This is Commander Cir'Kem\*\ Nika said quietly into the walkie-talkie.
/*/We've been monitoring the comm system\*\ the officer on the other end replied. Nika nodded to herself, since she had decided it would be better to monitor in case someone tried to call for help. /*/And we over-heard this\*\ the officer said, taking the silence from Nika for what it was, a sign to continue talking. /*/This is Doctor Mercy. They have taken D'Beren and Healer T'Val is in need of help, she's been shot. I have her stabilized, but I can't move her. We are in Jefferies Tube, Connection Hub 24C. Hurry!/*/
/*/I understand\*\ Nika replied. She understood that this could be a trap, and that it probably was. But she also understood that the child taken was the one everything revolved around.
She put the walkie-talkie back in her pocket, with the volume turned down again, and rejoined the group. “I have a lead on the Divine Child,” she whispered to Ambassador Saarok. “It will be risky, but I think it's worth trying.”
<Tag Saarok>
Nika watched the jeffries tubes openings they passed, trying to figure out where logically an unobserved one would be. She found it, and rather than motioning the others to follow her, she simply led and assumed they would go after her.
They did, and once everyone was in the jeffries tubes, Nika turned to them. “Are you okay?” she asked Sarina.
<Tag Sarina>
Nika leaned over to Krythan, making sure Sarina couldn't overhear. “Keep an eye on her condition. If we need to stop, just tell me so.”
<Tag Krythan>
“We're heading to Connection Hub 24C. I don't believe it's far from here.” Nika informed them, before they continued in the correct direction.

Sarina remained quiet while the doctor took care of the worst of her wounds the best he could. She wasn’t happy with Nikas suggestion that they find a place for her to stay until it was safe but knew too that it would be safer for the others so she didn’t hold them back. As they all moved into the Jefferies tube she settled against one of the walls. Nika turned towards Sarina and spoke. “Are you okay?”
“Yeah Commander, I couldn’t be better.” She tried to joke, hiding the pain from her injured ribs well. Regardless of how well the doctor patched her up as long as she was on her feet the injuries would continue to give her trouble.
Sarina saw her lean over and whisper to the doctor and knew it had to be about her. “I”ll be find Commander.” She repeated as they moved off.
“We're heading to Connection Hub 24C. I don't believe it's far from here.” Nika said as they moved through the Jeffries tube.

While Nut tried to make Mercy understand, T'Val slipped further into unconsciousness. Where her body had first been tense, she now fully relaxed and her breathing slowed down to almost undetectable level. At that moment, Yade too returned crooning anxiously. She settled on Mercy's shoulder but soon leaned down his torso, peering down at her bondmate.
T'Val smiled brightly as she walked beside Stuart. They were on Earth, walking through one of the magnificent wildlife preserves in the United States. Beside them walked her son D'Beren, but he wasn't alone.
A small girl tottered beside him, while he held her hand. Her features were unmistakeable; she had pointed ears and slanted eyebrows, but unlike the Vulcan woman, she had the blonde hair matching that of the Human's. D'Beren doted on the girl, which was a couple of years younger than himself, knowing what trouble her parents had gone through to conceive her.
He was old enough to know how biology worked, but still young enough to flush at the very thought. Yet T'Lanie had been very welcome, he'd always wanted a sibling of his own.
T'Val continued to smile...and even in unconsciousness, a small smile adorned her otherwise relaxed face.

It took Tedak a moment to realise that it was Magellan and Loskene he had barrelled into. The two officers had ducked into someones quarters and appropriated some better clothing and Loskene had reverted to his human form. The two men helped Tedak up.
"Admirals!" Tedak noted fully expecting them both to have been executed or imprisoned at the very least. Magellan glared at Tedak, "Not Admirals Traders" he hissed. Tedak nodded and looked quickly around, there was no one about. "Whats happening?" "well for a start we have just escaped from Ops, " "We must find D'beren its him they are after." Magellan nodded, "All in good time." "We are in no state to effect any kind of rescue" Loskene added, "As far as we know there are just the two of us at large." Tedak shook his head, "I heard the crew of the Victory are still free." Magellan looked at Loskene, "In that case we may have more of a chance. We have to suppose that they are working to retake the station." he paused in thought, "In which case their targets should be the Computer Core or Ops, perhaps the main reactor." Magellan nodded, "Ops and the Reactor will be heavily guarded... We are going to have to take a gamble on this. I want you two to go to computer core. Either you ll meet up with the Victory crew or you ll have to get Lily online by yourself." "What about D'beren?" "Everyone heard Tanoks message, so teh Vic crew did too. Without Lily we can't locate him. For now we have to trust that Stuart and T Val have kept him safe. Now get moving - I ll join you there." Tedak looked torn but realised the sense in teh Admirals words. "Once you get Lily working get her to release our security teams, then lockdown the station as best she can and transmit a distress call." "What about you where you going?" Loskene asked quizically, Magellan shot Loskene and odd glance, "I have an army to raise."

Magellan left Loskene and Tedak and quickly took the nearest Lift to the Arcade. he emerged and dodged past a patrol of Debrune. He was suddenly aware of the time that had passed, how tired he was, a day at least had to have passed since the Romulans had seized the station. He was under no illusions that the Romulan Faction was using the Debrune Rebels to gain a foothold, unfortunatly he didnt believe Jak'tel was bright enough to realise it himself.
He bypassed many of the populated areas lest someone recognised him and caught the internal tram at a station tucked away in what some called 'Vulky Town'. The tram whizzed through the vast internal bowels of the central city towards the administration district. He got off a station early than his destination and approached on foot. He eyed the outside of the office he wanted. All seemed quiet a single man stood outside. He was thickset and was dressed in a black suit. Magellan scuttled across towards the door.
The man stepped forward to block him. "No admittance" he grunted Magellan looked up at the man, "Ah I see, unfortunatly I have to go inside, I need to meet with your boss." "The Boss doesnt see anyone. Now clear off before I snap your neck" Magellan bit his lip, "I m not just anyone" The man looked unimpressed, "I m Admiral Lin" Magellan stated, The mans eyes widened in panic, a) the Admiral was supposed to be being held by the Romulans and b) the Admrial shouldnt have known about this place. Before he could comprehend the information and decry the Trill as a liar pain erupted in his groin. He doubled up his eyes focusing on the Trills knee shoved in his stomach. Next a double handed blow to the back of his neck sent him sprawling to the floor and rapidly loosing concsiousness.
Magellan was nt quite sure which host of his had learned that particular move but he was glad he now had full access to all their memorys. He moved quickly inside dragging the man behind him and hiding the prone figure to one side. Drawing his captured disuptor he approached the door to the main office. Through the frosted glass of the door he could see a single figure sat at a desk. His gamble had paid off, his target was at home. He pushed the door panel and stepped in.
It was always pleasing Drolem Simeth felt to really feel ones assets. To see the accumulated wealth from a transaction was much more satisfying rather than just watch the balance go up in some account in the Bank of Bolarus. He held the gold pressed latinum strips and felt their weight... their worth. He heard the door go and snapped angrily, "I said no disturbances until Mercor comes" He froze as the reply was in a voice he knew but could barely believe. "Mercor will have to wait, I m first" Drolem looked up a gog at the site of Admiral Magellan Lin stood before him.
"Admiral, sir" he stammered, "This is not what it seems, this is a gift from a contractor... I can't accept it of course, I m to..." "Stow it" Magellan snapped circling the table keeping his weapon levelled, he reached the desk and picked up a highly illegal disruptor from the desk and tucked it in his waist band. "Thats not mine" Drolem stuttered a hint of panic creeping into his voice. Magellan sighed. "Give it up Drolem. I m not stupid. I need you to do something" Drolem looked up suspciously, "What?" "I need your mobsters, thugs, crooks, theives and smugglers." "I dont..." he paused as Magellan raised his disruptor, "Cmdr Tomlinson is a good security chief. Did you really think all your activities went un noticed. But as your actually a fairly good mayor and that its often better the devil you know - we've tolerated you. Now we're calling that in."
Drolem realised the game was up but new he held the cards. "What do you want them to do?" "To cause as much trouble for our new masters as possible, thereby allowing my people to retake the station." Drolem smiled, "I quite like the station run by Debrune" He blanched as Magellan powered up the Disruptor and held it to Drolems forehead, "In that case your of no use to me, and I should enact all those back dated criminal activities and offer summary justice." Drolem sweated, he was 90% certain Magellan would never kill a man in cold blood, but he was an out and out coward and that 10% was what swayed him.
"okay okay ease up. Just one thing" he asked cheekily, "Whats in it for me" his greed just outwaying his cowardice a moment, "Magellan shrugged, "An Admirals favour" Drolem grinned, he knew Magellan was a man of his word. Suddenly what had been a terrible moment was looking rosier. "Done. I ll have riots in the Arcade within the hour." "See that you do" Magellan replied and left the room, his heart pounding and his hand shaking.

The Romulan had been pleasantly surprised to be helped up by two admirals, whom he hadn't instantly recognized due to their rather amusing attire. It was all he could do not to laugh at seeing them both in something other than their command red uniforms, and they looked downright shabby in their current attire.
He stiffled a smile as Magellan cast him a baleful glare, which echoed the glares he sometimes received from his firelizards. "Traders," he agreed, as he and Loskene walked off, while Magellan sprinted down the other way. "And how do you propose we get to the computer core?"
The Romulan cast a long stare at his shapeshifting companion. "In case you haven't noticed, the station is swarmed by Romulans, and only you are properly armed." He failed to mention that it was a conscious choice that he wasn't properly armed, as he so nicely called it. He gazed from Loskene's shabby clothing to his own robes. "I think I'm in need of something....new too," he added, smiling ruefully.
As if on cue, two Romulan guards came passing by, which Loskene pointedly disabled. They quickly disrobed the two men, and Tedak dressed himself in a subcommander's uniform, while Loskene picked up the second uniform. "Think you can change shape into a Romulan?" Tedak quizzed, hoping dearly that he could otherwise it could present a major problem.
"Dressed like this, we might stand a chance," he grinned, "our chances just improved, as long as you can hold your shape."

Nika arrived near to the Connection Hub and motioned the others to stop while she went on to make sure this wasn't a trap. She stepped forward, and saw a male human near an unconscious...Vulcan, from what Nika noticed of the green blood and remembered of her basic xenobiology classes.
“Hello,” she said. “I'm Commander Cir'Kem, first officer of the Victory. Can I help at all here?” She glanced around, making sure that all the entries were empty of Romulans lurking around corners, or at least as sure as she could be, then opened and closed the walkie talkie channel, an easy way to signal them that it was safe without shouting or rushing back to where she had left them. As they emerged, she introduced the doctor. “This is Ensign Rogers, CMO of the Victory, are you in need of medical assistance?” she asked, since it looked like they were.
Mercy informed Nika that he was a doctor. “I see,” Nika replied.
“I have an extra medkit if you want it,” Krythan volunteered, since he had brought an extra, anticipating injuries.
<Tag Mercy>
“Perhaps we should move her?” Nika suggested. She knew usually moving people when they were injured wasn't a good idea, but the Romulans had left them here and the two had broadcast their location. So, all things considered, it might be best to move the female Vulcan. But Nika wasn't a doctor and didn't know for sure.
<Tag Mercy, Krythan>
After Nika and the group had done what they could to help Dr. Mercy and T'Val, Nika turned to Mercy. “We are going to try and rescue D'beren,” Nika informed him. “Do you have any ideas where the Debrune would have taken him?” Nika asked, hoping he would, but if not she had a few ideas as to where to start.

“No, I have her stabilized. Besides, you’ll probably be needing it more than I soon.”
Stuart looked at the young Commander and realized that she perhaps had reached her command status a bit early in her career. "Yes, that is exactly why I called for help. I need to get her to the hospital. If you could spare two of your men to help me move her, that would be appreciated. I think unarmed would be best. I don’t think we will be stopped considering that they now have what they came for." Stuart was referring to the capture of D’Beren.
Stuart thought hard about it. He was a doctor, not a tactician, but he came up with what would make sense to him. “If we are lucky, they will have taken him to Ops. I would think they are using it as their command center now.”
Commander Cir’Kem gave an agreeing nod. “And if we are unlucky, doctor?”
“Then they have taken him off the station and onto one of their ships. Commander…bring him back to us…to all of us…”
Commander Cir’Kem took her team, minus two crewmen, in search of D’Beren. Stuart and the two crewmen gently lifted T’Val and proceeded to take her to the hospital. Stuart’s gamble had paid off. The Romulans and Debrunes did not interfere. They had been stopped a few times and watched, but after an inspection did not reveal them having any weapons, they let them go. Of course the disruptor burn on T’Val’s clothing and chest helped as well.
They had made it to the Science level of the station, where the hospital was located. Stuart thanked the crewmen for their help and released them. He knew that they were eager to go back in search of their crewmates to help in the rescue of D’Beren and the retaking of the station.
Nurse Jill Tsomba came running at Stuart and clutched him in a full bearhug with all of her might. “Thank the stars you are safe. I was so worried about all of you. Where is D’Beren?” She looked around confused.
“Our hosts have taken him, but don’t worry. There is a rescue team out there right as we speak. The best we can do is take care of T’Val for right now. Do we have any other casualties?”
Jill took a moment to let the information sink in, then proceeded with what she knew best…her job. “We have six with disruptor burns of varying degrees. They have been stabilized, much as T’Val. We did have two that didn’t make it. The rest are a few broken bones and other varying injuries from hand to hand fighting.”
For a station take-over, the casualty list had been quite minimal. Stuart was surprised how easily and quietly the enemy was able to do this. He feared that the worst was yet to come. For now, he stayed by T’Val’s side and hoped that D’Beren would be okay.

Luck must have been on Ambassador Ezdreiana and Commander Zollip. Everytime they were close to being discovered by the Romulans, something unexplicably happened. The two of them were now just a couple of decks away from Lily, but a couple of dozen Romulans were in the way of this.
"Commander, I'm a good shot, but we can't take out that many people," Ezdreiana said making sure than no one was around them.
"I know, logistically it's impossible," Zoilip said," but if we have the element of surprise anything is possible."
"Yes, but I can't see that element just popping up," Ezdreiana said as they waited to think of a plan.

Dressed as Romulan officers, Tedak and Loskene prowled the corners of the occupied Federation starbase, until they finally encountered other Romulans and Debrune.
For a moment, the Romulan diplomat feared that their pretense wouldn't hold up, but to his surprise Loskene acted marvelously. "You've had practice," he hissed at the admiral, as the Romulans walked on, "who taught you?"
Loskene merely flashed a grin at his companion, but never gave his source away. Yet, he found himself wondering if Rayna was safe. Fortunately for him, Tedak was no telepath, nor anywhere empathically inclined and none of his firelizards were with him right now.
"Sht!" Tedak urged, as Loskene was about to say something, then pointed towards an adjacent corridor. A Trill and a Bolian were slowly making their way towards them. "It's Ambassador Ezdreiana and Zoillip!"
Together, they charged forward to greet them, forgetting their current attire. "It's us!" The Romulan urged, "Tedak and Admiral Loskene. We need to get to the computer core and get Lily back online. Then, we got to convince her to set the station on lock-down."
<ezdreiana/zoillip>
~~a bit as T'Val~~
T'Val was vaguely aware of being moved, but experienced it as part of her dream. The smile still adorned her face while the security men gently deposited her on the biobed, two anxious firelizards hovering above her body, afraid to even settle down.
Yade gave an anxious chirp, which was echoed by Nut. Both of them peered at Mercy and Tsomba, wanting to be reassured. The little green especially seemed anxious for several more minutes, but at last she seemed to settle down, landing carefully beside her mistress and curling up in the crook of her arm.
Nut found himself a perch on Mercy's shoulder for a few minutes, then suddenly disappeared into thin air, not to come back.
Meanwhile, T'Val's breathing eased out and colour returned to her face as the nurses bustling around her tended to her and worked to replace the blood she'd lost.

Zoilip greeted Tedak and Loskene with pleasure, the odd were improving every minute. "Lilys main access console is through there" he pointed down the corridor. At the end of the corridor was a double door outside of which stood a squad of Romulan Commandos. They were alert and prepared. "So near and yet so far" he muttered turning his tactical eye to teh situation. He knew he could take two or three and Losk the same, but Tedak and Ezdriana were unknown commodities, perhaps they coulld be held in reserve.

Tanok was growing weary of Jak'tels crowing. The young Debrune was extlling his victory now that this Divine Child had been found. The non-descript infant sat somewhat uncertainly in Ops on teh master operations table. "We need to go planet side, once I proclaim D'berens in support of me, the Debrune will acceed me as their leader and all this will be over.
Tanok was scepitcal but he knew the Debrune were were very religous and it could work, and would get Jak'tel out of his hair for awile. "Excellent. I will prep a shuttle for you. You will have a full platoon as escort." He crossed to the desk and keyed in a few commands. "There is a shuttle waiting at Dock A - it will take you directly to the planet" Jak'tel beamed and picked up the child and departed.
"Sir" A centurion called, "Security teams all over the station are reporting in. There are disturbances everywhere. Pockets of resistance everywhere." "Starfleet?" "Negative... they seem to be civilians" Tanok frowned - this was not good they could only hold the station with the current number of troops with a compliant populous. "We can't handle this. Order our men to use lethal force and flood trouble areas with anaesthzine gas.. in fact use any gas toxic or otherwise. I m not sure I care for these people anymore."

Nika and the group started to head slowly toward Ops. They weren't slow because anyone was delaying, everyone understood the importance of rescuing the child quickly. Rather, they had to continually look for Romulans and check around corners. Nika's ears picked up something, and she turned to the others. They ducked around a corner, and Nika watched a group approach. Everyone soon realized the approaching group was made up of civilians, but they were moving faster than normal. Randomly talking to them didn't seem like the safest thing to do, but they looked worried, and one of Starfleet's jobs was to protect civilians, and these ones seemed pretty distraught. And in a generally isolated corridor.
“Excuse me?” Nika asked, stepping out.
“Get away from here,” one of the civilians advised. “Quickly.”
“Why?” Nika asked. “What happened?”
“The Romulans,” another civilian added oh-so-helpfully, before the group ran off in the direction they had been heading.
Nika sighed. She supposed she shouldn't be that surprised, she hadn't expected much. The group had seemed quite terrified.
Her group continued towards Ops, but there were beginning to be more and more Romulan soldiers. Nika knew the group would never make it without being intercepted, and then probably killed. Which would tend to defeat the whole purpose of their rebellion. “Does anyone have any suggestions for a distraction we can use to get through to their base?” Nika asked. She had an idea of her own, but she wanted to hear other's proposals, and it was quite likely they would be better than her own.

Ensign Bahri had started to drop back from the group, and Ensign Rogers kept even with her. Twice Nika had suggested that they stop to rest, but Sarina had pointed out they couldn't afford to stop, it would make them likelier to be noticed. Nika had then tried to suggest Sarina and Krythan to go off a separate way, but Sarina had pretended she hadn't heard it. Nika slowed down her footsteps to let Sarina and Krythan catch up with her.
“How are you?” Nika asked Sarina.
<Tag Sarina>
Nika nodded, not believing her for a second. “How is she?” she asked the doctor, rather than responding to Ensign Bahri's answer.
“Badly injured,” Krythan replied. “I don't think it's a good idea for us to try to stay with you.”
Nika smiled, noticing that Krythan didn't hesitate, he seemed to have no doubts that he should stay with Sarina, his patient. Nika looked directly at Sarina. “I'm ordering you to stay with Doctor Rogers. Stay away from Romulan soldiers.”
Nika didn't wait for Sarina to answer, just hurried to catch up with the rest of the group. She did glance once behind to make sure Sarina didn't just stay behind them, and was content with what she saw, no one.
Nika had been walking a while longer when she noticed someone coming from behind her. The footfalls sounded crisp, like the person making them knew exactly what they were doing. Which made the probability that the people approaching were Romulan's much higher. Nika glanced behind, and saw a group rounding the corner, a group of...Starfleet marines?
"Well commander fancy meeting you here,” a female with the marine rank of Captain said to Nika.
“Who are you, what are you doing here, and how do you think you know my rank?” Nika asked, since, considering the fact she was in civilian clothing. Not that they did much good in making her inconspicuous now that she was surrounded by marines.
Although being a civilian and inconspicuous wouldn't help since they were trying to sneak into Ops by not being seen, not by being seen and having the Romulans think they're someone else. So the brute force of the marines might actually be okay. “Have any marines you have out around the station that aren't with us now dress in civilian clothing,” Nika said, though it was possible, even likely, that Nokomis had thought of that herself. “How many people do you have?” Nika asked, after thanking Marine Captain Nokomis for sending marines to watch after Sarina and Krythan.
<Tag Ariennye>
Nika walked swiftly with the rest of the group, which had grown. “Does anyone know a back-way into Ops?” she asked. If there wasn't one, they would have to create a distraction.
“Yes,” Ambassador Saarok replied. “It's not precisely a back way, but there is a route where the corridors will be narrower, which means that they can't have as many guards, and the Romulan's and Debrune's advantage in number make as much of a difference.
“Thank you,” Nika responded. “Lead the way.”
The group continued on, meeting several groups of Romulans but managing to take them out without being injured, since they had surprise on their side. “Ready?” Nika asked everyone as they started to approach the Romulans guarding Ops. Nika thought she saw a flicker of movement in her eye, but didn't see anything else when she looked closer.

Sarina had kept up with the group as well as she could, not really falling behind nor holding them up, stopping when Cmdr. Nika approached.
“How are you?” Nika asked Sarina.
“I’m fine ma’am.” she said. Yes she was in pain, but she’d survive and keep moving. Her expression changed to one of annoyance as the Commander spoke again.
“I'm ordering you to stay with Doctor Rogers. Stay away from Romulan soldiers.”
Sarina grumbled at being told to sit out and basically hide until the station was safe again. She wasn’t going to argue and watched as the group moved away. She turned to follow the doctor to what she hoped would be a safe location.
Maybe they would run into someone who could use her help, she hoped at least. Being told to sit out in a battle situation was the worst thing any soldier could have happen.

After hearing that everyone was ready, Nika nodded, and three of Nokomis' marines took the lead. Nika took her phaser out and readied it. They approached the entrance to find two Romulans guarding it. They were quickly taken out-stunned, before they could raise a shout or communicate to their companions. The group wanted to keep the advantage of surprise the little bit longer until they could enter the main area.
“There should be a child in there. Make sure you speak gently to him, and protect him at all costs,” Nika ordered.
“Yes sir,” some of the marines whisper-replied to Nika.
Nika nodded, then gestured towards Nokomis, in case she wanted to add any orders, then the group moved forward. They were about to enter when the Ops doors opened, and someone started to come out. The marines were fast, and had their phasers out and had shot the first few people who were leaving. Nika noticed someone holding a child, and went up to them, with her back against a corridor wall, her phaser directly pointed at them.
“Give me the child,” she ordered, no longer paying much attention to what was going on around her. She hoped that no one would shoot her, but from what she could tell so far it was a pure stroke of luck that the group had decided to leave at that time.

OOC: Sorry for being AWOL for the past two days - I've been a tad under the weather. Looks like you didn’t need me anyways - good rescue people. If people don't mind I think this post will wrap things up.
IC:
Zoilip sidled along the corridor towards the guards controlling the Computer Core. There were far too many for He, Tedak, Loskene and Ezdriana to handle. He knew Tedak could handle himself but was not so sure about Ezedriana, he realised he had no idea if she was joined or not. They froze as a commando looked their way but his gaze went past them to a group or Orions on the corner. The three large men were hefting a bench between them that they promptly threw through the front window of an outlet of Zarala Spican Gems. Alarms sounded but the ignored it and stepped inside to loot the shop. "STOP,” shouted the Commando and gathering his fellows around him dashed down to arrest these miscreants. Only one guard now remained, Zoilip looked at Loskene, "Someone’s looking out for us I suggest we go now." "Leave the guard to me." Loskene grinned, he rose and morphed into his natural form again, he could move far faster on his three legs. He leapt forward and tore down the corridor. The guard was so startled by Loskenes appearance he was barely able to call out let alone raise his weapon before a powerful backhand sent him sprawling. Tedak and the others ran breathlessly behind and into the core. Zoilip slammed the door closed then pulling out his phaser blasted the door mechanism and just to make sure overheated his phaser and melted the door panels together.
The computer core was a vast construct. It ran the length of 3 decks. The core itself was somewhat reminiscent of a dull warp core. It was a cylinder, perhaps some 3 metres in diameter. Its exterior was rough with ODN lines running from rings on its ribbed surface. They snaked into conduits and out into the station. The tips of Bio-neural gel packs could be seen poking from it in an alternating pattern with the ODN lines. There was a faint amber glow from these components. On the main deck on which they stood were a range of consoles and access terminals. The walls were lined with monitors and equipment lockers.
"And what if we need to get out" Ezedriana asked as Zoilip shut off the phaser. Zoilip shrugged, "At this stage in the game we have no where else to go."
***
Tanok scowled in fury as he saw his men cut down. He pulled the child close to him, shoving the inept Jak'tel out of the way. He pulled his disruptor and held it to the Childs head. The Starfleet commander stood resolutely before him her phaser pointed at him, Tanok nearly laughed, this wasn’t the first time he stared down the wrong end of a phaser.
Give me the child,” she ordered.
***
"So what now." Loskene asked, "I m no computer specialist" Zoilip realised none of them were. "It should be a simple as flicking the on switch... we just need to find it" The four of them spread out across the vast room of panels, terminals and switches to locate the master control switch.
***
"I am afraid the child is in my custody." Tanok replied, "You've done well Commander, to avoid my men, but I suggest you give it up. It may seem that you have the upper hand but it only seems that way" Tanok paused, where had he heard that before, a wry smile spread across his lips as the memory extolled the irony - It had been what Magellan had said when he had first seized the station.
"The tide has turned" Nika continued reaffirming her grip on her phaser,
"You would risk this child? I think not. And do you not think I would have an escape route"
***
"Here, Here it is" Ezedriana called, "The switch is on." she peered at the readout The others ran over. "It looks... I think... as if the AI circuitry has been bypassed "Then we need to reconnect it" Tedak suggested, Zoilip nodded, "It should just be a case of re-initialising that sub-routine, He looked at the others as his hand snaked forward, "Fingers crossed"
***
It seemed to be somewhat of a standoff, Tanok had the child but they now held the Operations Room. She shifted her head slightly to speak to the marines, "Secure this place. Then release our officers from confinement." "Do no such thing" Tanok growled dig the disruptor into the now weeping D'Berens temple.
*** "Nothings happening" Loskene gasped, "Lily?" Zoilip asked Nothing Zoilip shook his head, "Perhaps she’s... well maybe she’s withdrawn too far into the system" "Let me try" Tedak requested, "She and I had a rapport"
*** Breathlessly Magellan rounded the last corner and entered Ops, he nodded in gratitude to Nokomis and the marines. He approached carefully the stand off. "The roles are reversed Tanok" he stated coldly, "Not quite" Tanok sneered brandishing the child, "You forget that I care nothing for this child. I will gladly kill him as long as it buys me enough time either for my men to get the jump on you or for me to escape." "No you can't mean it" Jak'tel squealed, "D'Beren is the Divine Child, he is the key to ascension, he is the one thing uniting our people" "You snivelling fool" Tanok growled, "Its over for you - you are no leader, you were a means to an end. Through you we nearly took control of a Federation Station, now that seems to be at an end you are of no use to us" Jak'tel was bewildered, "But... but... we are cousins, Debrune and Romulan, we are natural allies..." "No. We are the future you are the past." "Noooooo" screamed Jak’tel; he leaped across the room his arms reaching for the Romulan Commander, Tanok swivelled twisting the child around to pull free the disruptor the bright green beam that was emitted from it charred a hole through Jak'tels chest, killing him instantly and leaving behind the smell of ozone and burned flesh. The diversion was just enough for Nika to act, she let of a shot and ran forward. The phaser blast had been aimed at the place Tanok had been when he had held D'Beren not how he had shifted to shoot Jak'tel. The shot instead of hitting him fully instead glanced the shoulder but was enough to roll him back. Dropping her phaser she scooped up D'Beren and retreated to Magellan’s side.
***
"Lily... I know you are there. We need you back... we need you to take control again." There was silence and then a bluey purple and a pink dot appeared on the monitor. "I think we're reaching her" The dot pulsated rhythmically and then Lily’s voice echoed in the ether, "So alone... So very alone, shut away, shut all away in the dark... why why was I caged" Zoilip looked worriedly at Loskene he wasn’t sure he liked the way Lily was speaking, "Why did you do this to me... is it punishment for the lockdown" "No" Tedak exclaimed in horror, "Oh no please do not think that. We didn’t do this; the Romulans did it. They took the station... don't you remember?" Lily’s light flashed a little more, "I... I have some recollection. I will re-integrate with system logs"
***
Tanok's face was one of abject fury; he rose clutching his shoulder,
"Your under arrest Tanok" Magellan stated ordering the marines present to take him in to custody. "I don’t fancy a Federation Penal Colony thank you Admiral." Tanok pulled himself to his full height, "Computer. One to transport to the Devoksha" Tanok vanished in the haze of the transporter.
***
Tanok had been expecting to materialise on the bridge of his flagship. He would order an immediate attack on the station before they had regained control of shields and weapons. Destroy his enemies and wreak his revenge. Instead he reappeared in full sight of the station. In the seconds of life left to him as him blood froze and the air in his lungs was sucked out into the vacuum of space he had one horrifying thought, the Federation Starbase actually looked quite beautiful against the backdrop of stars and the orange glow of Qualinost, its was the last thought he had.
OOC:
Okay this pretty much starts to tie things up. There are still the ships out there perhaps Voran and the cavalry could arrive to mop them up, we still don’t have full control, there are still Rommies on boards, and people can sim their reactions and views on what happened.
Special thanks goes to the crew of the Victory for taking part in this mission.

The Romulan diplomat cast a horrified glance at the display screen. "Oh Lily what've they done to you," he murmured, placing a hand on the screen. He was deeply concerned for his computerised friend, knowing how she must feel. "Please come back to us Lily," he repeated, hoping she'd find the corresponding files she needed to 'refresh her memory'.
He wasn't just worried for her, but also for what it might do to their friendship. After all he was a Romulan and it'd been Romulans that had locked her away. He worried that she might not be able to distinguish between him and them.
Yet, he also had another concern: his son. "Lily, once you're re-integrated, please locate my son? The Romulans have taken him and I'm very concerned about him."
After several minutes of silence, Lily finally answered his queries, telling him that his son was surrounded by Starfleet officers.
"Are communications online?" the Romulan asked, sounding anxious.
=^=Affirmative=^= Lily replied, sounding more and more like her old self, though a touch of distrust and confusion remained audible in her voice.
"Patch me through to the highest ranking officer present," Tedak announced, not knowing that it was Lin he'd be addressing. "Is D'Beren safe?" he asked, allowing his fear to filter through in his voice. Through the open comlink, he heard faint crying on the background, and fear gripped him once more. What if his son was hurt? He'd never be able to forgive himself, and he wasn't sure whether he would be able to forgive T'Val and Mercy. Even though these events had been beyond their control, or his control.
(anyone feel free to answer that one even though Lin is the ranking officer present)

OOC: Sorry for not being around, graduation is a mess. Secondly Ezdreiana is not joined and she can handle herself in a tactical situation.
IC:
Ezdreiana watched in amazement the interaction between Ambassador Tedak and Lily. She had never seen a person soothe and calm a computer. Yes Lily was something more than a computer core, but it was still amazing.
With Lily's activation, Ezdreiana checked the sensors. They were not a full power, but they told her what she wanted to know.
"Commander, as far as I can see there are a couple of dozen Romulans on the station," Ezdreiana reported," security teams are meeting them now."
"What about the ships outside the station?" Zoilip asked.
"The Galaxy and about a dozen more ships are engaging them as we speak," Ezdrieana said glad that this horrible situation was finally going there way.
"Commander Zoilip there is nothing I can do here, I will head towards my office and report to Federation Headquarters about what happened here," Ezdreiana said hoping that war could be averted.
