[Sickbay]
“I was thinking we could start with the uses of some of the tools,” the doctor had said.
“No ma’am that’s fine. Thank you.” she said as she followed Illito around sickbay as she explained the different tools of the trade. She already knew many of them but there were indeed some she didn’t know.
She didn’t mind the reminder, it gave her time to see sickbay through her implants and have them adjust to her new surroundings.
Lianna asked questions regarding those tools and items she was unsure of, making notes on a PADD she carried with her. She laughed when Illito said “I hope this isn't too boring,” as they finished their tour.
“Not at all ma’am. Thank you for taking the time to show me.” Lianna said before the doctor headed off for the briefing leaving her to study what she’d been taught in the brief time.
Lianna sat down in a chair in the CMOs office and pulled up the information on the PADD, Phantom making his way into the office and settling at her feet.

Semia looked at Paikea and he looked at her and asked her to come over, "Commander you not knowing the mission disturbs me slightly."
Semia nodded darkly at Paikea, "You’re not the only one I’m finding it a minor [word deleted] off actually."
Paikea blinked at Semia's statement but he also knew she was known for speaking her mind, didn't matter who the person was. He witnessed her once tell an admiral where to shove it and walked away without batting an eye.
"I'll handle it" Semia said and patted Paikea on the shoulder and walked towards the ready room, barging in Commander Drago looked up in surprise at Semia's appearance.
"umm normally one rings the chime before entering" Drago said but seeing the stern gaze on the trill followed by the silence he decided to let it slide seeing it didn't seem to faze her one bit of the warning, he sat down his pad and swallowed and nodded, "Commander Cavit I assume?"
"What the hell is going on sir?" She said simply
"Erm" he looked perplexed for a minute.
"I'm gonna be blunt you call a staff meeting then shove everyone out, and your don't inform me what’s going on, as your first officer my job is to back you but i can't exactly do that nor will the crew if your gonna do it." her grey eyes narrowed Raising his eyebrows and his mouth hung open he looked at her, the first officer's rep did proceed on what he read about her, she does her job quick efficient and speaks her mind.
"I see..." Drago was still in a bit of shock and was about to speak some more to her when she added to it
"as for the party, with all due respect i don't do gatherings" She smiled warmly witch disturbed Drago a tiny bit cause it looked though she was smiling at the thought of ripping someone’s head off "And i need my quarters rearranged for another bedroom seeing i now have my daughter on board, so if you want my advice and my support and my trust " and her voice dripped an octave " I'd start using it instead of keeping me in the dark."
She turned and walked out leaving a bewildered Drago and walked onto the bridge and looked at Paikea and nodded the smiled.
"Ma'am" Pride was looking at her and Semia turned to him and smiled "yes Mister Pride."
"I’ve been meaning to ask you something" He said.
"Sure ask away" she smiled warmly.
"In the briefing room?" he asked.
"Sure I don’t' see why not lead the way Lt. " Semia gestured to the briefing room.

Pride: Walked into the breifing room behind Commander Cavit she took a seat pride remained standing he hadn't dealt much with the xo and didn't want to get on here bad side anymore then he was about to.
" Commander I"m a little worried about our new Commander especialy after our conversation we just had. I"ev never know a meeting to be cancelled so fast after just looking at a new officer by all acounts she doesn't know him. The Commander stated he was from the future I'm worried that his knowledge could effect and change the current time line with our new officer aboard. My people are very adapt at following patterns if I was more like them and not human I could be more exact. All I can say for certain is I can feel a possible new pattern forming one that shouldn't be forming I could be wrong like I said I'm human I have to rely on what I was taught I dont have all there special gifts. To be honest Commander I hope that I'am wrong and that you can yell at me later for it. < Tag Cavit>

Illito went to the briefing, and was ready for it to start when the new Captain dismissed them all. She was ready to let it go, no doubt the Captain was under stress or had discovered that he didn't have all the information he needed with him. But then he shouted and leaned against the chair. Illito knew that something was not right, and her duty was to the Captain's safety over his orders.
“Sir?” she asked.
He just repeated what he had said before, dismissed. Illito nodded and ignored him. She saw the advantage of having a place on the bridge, it should allow her to keep an eye on the Captain. But she doubted that was what he meant it for.
She sat down at the chair, since she'd rather stand, but found standing in front of a chair pointless and awkward. Not that sitting in it was much better, and she still didn't have much to do. But she wanted to be here, in case anything happened, since she was pretty much expecting it to. She tapped her commbadge, since she hadn't clearly left anyone in charge of sickbay. =/\=Tintagel to Lianna, you're in charge of sickbay until I return. It might be a while.=/\=
Illito realized that it wasn't exactly standard procedure to leave civilians in charge of sickbay, but she liked to rotate the people in charge whenever possible, and she trusted Lianna to do what had to be done, which wasn't really anything. Being left in charge of sickbay didn't mean anything as much as being left in charge of the bridge did, in fact there wasn't even really a chair. Illito was aware that the command might frighten Lianna a little at first, but she thought that long-term it would be good for her, and for Lianna to learn that most people in sickbay did their own thing without direction from the person in charge. Besides, she trusted her staff enough that she wasn't worried about anything.

OOC: Joint Post between Kari and Rez.
IC:
Rez was about to go back to scanning space, when the new chief came up and took over the complete station. She didn't like being kicked out, and saw her 'new' friend heading out of the briefing room. She left and followed Kari into the turbolift. She smiled at the surprised look on Kari's face.
"Surprised to see me, huh?" She said and smiled.
Kari gave a slight smile. Her onduty demeanor was colder, icier then what she was off duty, but the faint smile was geniune and more then most people got. "Just slightly. Engineering." she ordered the turbolift. "Where are you headed Rezula?"
"Engineering sounds good to me. I have never seen it before, and would like to, if you don't mind?" She said hoping not to be trouble.
"Not at all." Kari said. "Not much to do right now. Nothing is broken or being stubbron so I can't beat it with a hammer." Her black eyes twinkled slightly with amusement. "I'm just deserting my post on the bridge. I'm obviously not needed right now so I'll just head to where I'm comfortable."
"Well, I don't know how well this would work, but I just had a thought. Maybe I could train in engineering. I don't see how much a Marine comes in handy when security has things under complete control," she said giving her suggestion some voice and air.
"Crosstraining is always good." Kari said. "And in return you can teach me hand to hand stuff. Although engineering takes time to learn completely and just when you think you have it figured out you have to imporvise and change the rules again. But it's never dull."
"I like a challenge, besides what else am I to do? I can teach you hand to hand combat any time you like, as long as we don't get into trouble," she said and chuckled. She noticed Kari shook her head, making Rez smile a little bigger. "When can we begin?" She asked excitedly.
"Well, now. Like I said I have nothing to do, bsides routine stuff. That would be the best spot to learn." Kari stated as the 'lift door opened on the Engineering deck. "Okay what DO you know about Engineering?"
"I know it is essential to keep it in top shape to keep the ship running at full peak efficencies. I know that certain things click to help, and we need the core," she said feeling really dumb at not knowing much about Engineering. She blushed a little.
"THat's the basics!" Kari said. "There's different specialties in engineering. There's the Warp core specialists and such. Engineering is one of the most heavily realied upon departments on a ship. Security expects us to keep the weapons in shape. Ops, Sec, Helm and Science all expect the sensors to work. Helm wants us to keep the shuttles in repair. ANd everyone wants the SIF and shields to work." She shrugged. "And everyone wonders why we're so grumpy all the time."
"SIF? I don't know that one. Can I learn it all? I like learning, and I don't want to be trouble. If you are too busy, I understand," she said quickly being very inquisitive.
"SIF - Structural Integrity Field. It's what holds the ship together while in warp or while preforming manuevers. It goes out and well, we're all screwed and going to meet whatever dieties you believe in." Kari stepped into Engineering and looked around, her face impassive as she surveyed her domain. "As for learning it all, heck I don't even know it all. I don't think anyone ever will. Things are always changing. What is cutting edge tech one day is obsolete the next." Kari glanced at Rez and gestured to her office. "ANd it will be cool to have someone to learn it with."
"Well, you mentioned there were several different areas to engineering, that is what I meant when I said it all. I don't expect science to just stop from creating new things for us to learn, and I would love ot learn this with you. You seem like a neat person, and I would like us to become 'friends' if that is possible," she said blushing a bit again.
"Well sure, you can learn a bit from everything and if you find one you are really interested in, we can specialize in that." Kari sat down on the edge of her desk. She rummaged around and grabbed a PADD. It had the list of different engineering jobs. "Choose one that you'd like to start with and we can get started now."
"Well, what would you suggest?" she asked wondering how much she could possibly learn.
Well," Kari reached over and took the PADD back. Glancing at it her thoughts worked fast. "Okay. We'll start with the general engineering courses that they teach at the Academy. That will give you the bare bones basics on the whole program."
"That is a good thing, I will get to see it all, then maybe, just maybe I will be able to decided on what aspect of engineering I want to train in. So, what's first?" She asked ready to get her feet wet.
Kari gave a slight grin. One that held a bit of that malevant friendly prank look. "Well, Engineering one oh one. Freshman course. Starfleet Academy. Real breeze. Then again I went to MIT for 4 years. and had real world experience prior to the academy. "She tapped the screen. "Chapter one will intorduce you to the basics of the engineering systems. IE the sensors the bionureal make up of all the systems on the ship. Very very general stuff."
"Shall we get started then?"

"Computer. Play track 001, file 22."
=^= Aknowledged =^=
The music filled the Commander's Ready Room, his eyes closed and his thoughts were once again a chaotic mess.
"Can't you see the grass is greener where it rains..." The music washed over Luke and he felt his mind take him back. His eyes flickered beneath the lids, his face slightly contorted as if he were in some sort of pain. "You left I died, I went you cried..."
"Captain, the Tiger Shark is haling us. Captain Laika wishes to discuss the mission at hand."
Lex's forehead burrowed. They had all ready discussed it a thousand and one times, what else was there to talk about?
"Put her on her screen." Luke ordered, straightening his uniform jacket and brushing the ever lengthening hair out of his eyes.
=^= Luke... =^=
He coughed.
=^= I'm sorry, Lex, there appears to be some sort of problem with the weapons system on the Tiger Shark I think the Ambassador should be transported on the Erikson =^=
"Not an option J'Leera, we're here to provide distraction only. The Erikson is a run down Galaxy class, she's nothing in comparison to the Tiger Shark."
=^= She's newly commissioned Lu... Lex, we have yet to test all the new systems. I'm worried =^=
"You have no need to be, I'm sending over my temporary XO to help at Tactical, she assisted in the design of those systems, she'll have the Tiger Shark running at 100% in no time."
J'Leera's eyes narrowed. =^= Ah yes, Commander Xerin Cole =^=
Lex frowned. "Whatever you may think of her J'Leera she is an invaluable Officer and has prover herself to me on many occassion. Not only that I consider her to be a friend." He paused. "So play nice."
=^= I will contact you when we are ready to depart =^= The comm was cut before Lex could respond.
2.5 Hours Later
Lex took a sip of coffee and read over the tacitcal analysis in the dim lighting of the Bridge. The Tiger Shark and Erikson had been on high alert for over an hour now and still there was no sign of the enemy forces. He was concerned. Starfleet was getting Intel wrong all too often recently.
"Sir, we are picking up two Warp signatures on an intercept course."
"Class?" He asked loudly, nearly slopping the coffee down his front.
"Two Klingon Attack Cruisers, Vrenak class."
"Are they from the Imperial Fleet?" He asked, a slight tone of concern in his voice.
"Negative, their registry indicates Resistance Wing."
"Damn it! They're not supposed to be here for another hour or so. Any news on the Imperial vessels?"
"Negative Sir, no news from the Fleet at all."
Luke stood up slowly and turned to face the young Officer on Tactical. "Liase with Commander Cole on the Tiger Shark, we need these ships and they cannot get the Ambassador."
0.37 Hours Later
"Sir we are losing life-support on Decks 5 through 12!!"
"Seal off those Decks, get emergency teams to the entrances!"
"We have an unauthorised transport on Deck 2!"
"Are the sheild-rotations not functioning?" Lex asked.
"They appear to only be working on selected Decks!"
The Erikson shook violently again as the Cruisers sweeped round for another attack run. The Tiger Shark moved to intercept the blasts but was too late.
"WE HAVE A HULL BREACH IN ENGINEERING, DECK 14, SECTION 2A!" Karsis yelled over the noise.
"SEAL IT OFF!" Lex yelled back.
"THE EMERGENCY BULKHEADS AND FORCEFIELDS ARE NOT RESPONDING, IF THEY HIT THAT SECTION AGAIN WE WILL BE FAVCING A CORE BREACH!"
Lex swore as fires began to erupt around him.
"ORDERS CAPTAIN!" Came a voice from the Turbolift.
"XERIN! WHAT ARE YOU PLAYING AT?! THE TIGER SHARK..."
"CAN MANAGE, YOU NEED MORE HELP. WITH ALL DUE RESPECT LEX WE NEED TO ABANDON SHIP, I CAN KEEP THE KLINGONS OFF OUR TAILS FOR A WHILE BUT WE HAVEN'T GOT LONG!"
Lex sighed. Here he was again, one more battle lost, one more Sector gone. Playing by the rules was costing lives, things had to changed.
"GIVE THE ORDER COMMANDER!" He yelled to Xerin. "FIVE MINUTE EVACUATION PLAN, USE EVRERY POSSIBLE MEANS OF ESCAPE, ALERT THE TIGER SHARK THAT THERE WILL BE CASUALTIES AND THAT WE WILL NEED TO LEAVE THIS SECTOR AS SOON AS EVERYONE HAS BEEN PICKED UP." He paused and took a breath. "YOU HAVE TACTICAL COMMANDER."
"I THINK I SHOULD TAKE COMMAND, YOU NEED TO GET OFF THE ERIKSON NOW, YOU'RE NEEDED TO GET THE AMBASSADOR TO SAFETY." Cole replied.
"J'Leera's got that covered." Lex said, his voice considerably quieter now that the fires were under control and that the Klingons had broken off their attack... for now.
"I understand that Lex, but you know your position within the Fleet. You go, the combined forces will lose heart. You're needed."
"The Erikson is almost fully evacuated." Karsis reported. "And the Tiger Shark is coming about to Transport the last of us off."
"We can all leave." Lex said as the ship rocked again, the Klingons had resumed their attack.
"I WILL JOIN YOU IN A MINUTE, SOMEONE NEEDS TO KEEP ROTATING THE SHEILDS!" Xerin yelled back as the noise picked up again.
Lex opened his mouth to respond but was cut off in a swirl of blue.
"Rotate the sheilds Lieutenant!" Lex heard J'Leera order.
"Did you get Cole?!" He exclaimed staring round the Bridge.
"We're coming about for her now." J'Leera replied calmly. The Tiger Shark had held up well, the main target of the Klingons was clearly the weaker Erikson.
Lex turned to face the viewscreen and his heart plummeted as he saw the Klingons open fire on the battered vessel with renewed force.
"Get her out of there!" Luke yelled. "That's an order!!"
"I will not sacrifice any members of this crew or the Ambassador, Lex. We have to hold out for their next break off!" J'Leera replied stubbornly.
"She won't make it! Move in now!"
"Negative Captain, either sit down or I will have you removed from the Bridge. Mr. Imk, open fire on the lead Klingon vessel, target..." However, she never got to finish the sentence. The Erikson was suddenly lit up in a bright array of light which subsided as fast as it had appeared.
Luke slowly sank to his knees.
One more Ship...
One more life...
One more friend...

No service record, strange outburst was not the way to start the mission, but this was the way it had started for the crew of the USS Scavenger. Paikea had spent a couple of hours now trying to find the connection between Xerin Cole and Luke Drago. He couldn't and it worried him.
Why wouldn't there commanding officer have a service record. When he tried to access his profile, it read "Classified". Paikea didn't have a hard time accepting that certain things were need to know, but if the Captain of a Starfleet vessel reacted the way he did, Paikea would worry.
During this time, the Scavenger was still on its way towards its destination. The senior staff didn't know what to expect once they arrived there, but they couldn't stop everything they were doing to find out if the Commander was ok. It would be up to Illtio to decide if Luke was mentally stable to command the ship.
"Ok, everyone we are going to have a senior staff meeting in an hour, we have a mission to complete, even though we don't know what it is," Semia said," I also want progress report from all departments."
"Understood, Commander, but will Commander Drago be joining us?" Paikea asked.
"I hope so," Semia said.

Luke strode briskly out of his quarters. Everything about him showing that same cold, hard determination that he had forced himself to show during the difficult times.
"Briefing Room, now." He said simply before leaving the Bridge on the Main Turbolift. The doors closed before anyone could join him and he let out a sigh of relief. The Turbolift halted suddenly and Luke exited, turning one corner and entering the Briefing Room. His head was beginning to swim again, all he wanted to do was sit down and allow time to gather his thoughts. But, ironically, there was never enough time.
Within minutes of Luke's arrival the rest of the Senior Staff filed into the Briefing Room and for the second time that day took their places at the table. Luke looked around at them and forced himself not to frown. How on earth was he going to deal with this? If Temporal Investigations got wind of this he'd be in for it.
"I want, no, need to apologise for my behaviour earlier." He began. "It was unacceptable and must have caused concern for the safety of this Ship and crew among you. I cannot fully explain my behaviour but it was a lapse on my part that once again I can only apologise for." He stopped again, taking a sip of water he had left on the table from the previous meeting. "If anyone, at this time, has a problem with the situation then please let me know now. I will of course do everything in my power to relieve that Officer's concerns."

Just as they were about to get started on something together, a message came and told them to report to the briefing room again.
She followed the chief out, and found a quiet turbolift ride. She didn't know why, but felt it best not to say anything right now.
She found they were about to start when she entered. She took her place standing by the wall at attention. She had noticed the first time she came in there wasn't a place for her at the table. She didn't mind at all, and realized even if there was a seat she would stand. She didn't like being too comfortable for anything, especially when you were learning what was coming in a mission. She felt more alert standing, and looked to the commanding officer to begin.
A little while later, she left to head back down to engineering after knowing what the mission was. She wasn't sure how she could help, and decided it best to continue her training. She arrived in engineering before the chief, and went over to a station to look it over.
"What are you doing? Why aren't you in a proper uniform? Who are you?" She heard, and turned around to find some guy standing there. He crossed his arms waiting for her to respond.
"I am Rezula, the new marine around here. I was just looking the station over. The chief said it was okay for me to train here," she responded, and another person came up behind him drawing him away for a few minutes. He came back smiling.
"Well, where should we start?" He said, and she returned his smile.
"What do you do around here?" She asked, and he started to explain, taking her to where he worked.

Half an hour had passed since Xerin had broken off her conversation with Paikea and returned to take her place at the tactical station, and still she had no clarification over the incident in the briefing room concerning the Captains reaction to her. Of course it worried her, and the glances of the crew on her back could not help but take their toll, but she supposed in a way she was used to it. A lot of things worried her, but she had learnt to live with it. There were ways of dealing with these things. Nonetheless, it was in a sense intrigue more than anything that kept her mind glued to the subject, and the irritation of being unable to answer the question for herself. Suddenly, feeling the need to remove herself from the tense surroundings, Xerin addressed the first officer.
“Commander Cavit, permission to leave the bridge please. When I arrived I was told to report straight to the bridge for a briefing, but seeing as it didn’t happen…” She asked halfheartedly. Semia looked thoughtful, she herself probably still wondering about the recent outlay. “Is your station all in order?” She asked eventually. “Yes Ma’am.” Xerin replied, having spent every moment since she had returned to her station running routine tactical checks. “Targeting systems, phaser arrays, four point precision marking, firing mechanisms…all in order.” She reported. Commander Cavit raised half an eyebrow: Xerin wondered if this had been the answer she was expecting. “Very well Ensign, you may attend to your belongings now. But don’t be too long about it, I expect the briefing will be rescheduled shortly.” “Thank you Ma’am.” The tactical officer said gratefully as she cast her eye once more over her console before leaving it in the capable hands of her second.
The moment the young red-head stepped into the turbolift she felt the great burden of worry fall from her shoulders, and stood up taller as though the weight had physically been lifted from her. She exhaled, hoping that some of the worry would leave her along with the discarded air. When she reached her desired deck, she found that it had almost worked. Feeling much more secure now that she could be alone with her muddled thoughts, she strode along the corridors in search of her assigned quarters, finding them at the far end of the corridor. Typical she thought in silent complaint. Of all the officers on this deck, she had the furthest to walk to reach the turbolift. Thinking in terms of necessity, she calculated that she would have to get up at least five minutes earlier than her luckier neighbors.
Behind the grey sliding doors Xerin stepped into a modest sized room decked out with a couch, one armchair, and small coffee-table and a desk running along the back wall. Adjacent to this was a box-like kitchen unit, small enough so that she could touch the opposite walls at the same time, and beyond that, her cream coloured, sparsely furnished bedroom. Her bag had been left at the foot of the bed, that took up almost all of the floorspace in the allocated room. From the empty crate beside it, she presumed that the security guard had decided to silence her cat by releasing him into her quarters, and sure enough, after a quick glance around, she spotted the small ginger fur-ball curled up on the dip in the centre of the settee.
“Oh you don’t know how lucky you’ve got it ya know.” She said with a sigh as she slouched down beside him. “You get to sleep all day, eat whatever you want, whenever you want, and you get me to look after you.” She added with a smile, stroking his furry ears. “What do you think is wrong with the Captain Hey? I wonder if he would tell you, he looks like a cat guy. Maybe that’s my problem.” She continued. The cat stared blissfully at the rug slumped on the floor in front of them and without warning launched onto it and curled into a ball. Xerin sighed. “Oh well, no good talking to you anyway, you’re male.” She condemned him. Getting up, she made for the desk on the opposite side of the room and took the chair. She didn’t know how long she sat for before she began to speak aloud.
”Personal Log, Xerin Cole, Stardate…uhm…” she paused, looking around for anything that might have the correct log time on it. Finding nothing, she continued.
Never mind. I have been here all of, two hours and forty minutes now and am apparently already causing trouble. I guess Marcus was right – it does seem to follow me wherever I go. Captain Drago took one look at me in the briefing room and cancelled the whole thing. It would have been nice if he had told me what I have done, because I don’t have a clue. Everyone else on the crew seems to think I must know more than I am letting on, and only Paikea seems to believe me when I say that I don’t. I hope he tells me soon why he reacted so openly; he appeared very distressed, and it would be most inconvenient to the running of the ship if the Captain responded so emotionally every time he saw me.
Still, time will tell I guess.
End Log.”
Ending her journal abruptly Xerin leapt out of her chair and headed for the door, realizing she had spent rather longer than she meant to in her quarters. She raced back to the bridge, to arrive very shortly before Captain Drago called the crew into the briefing room once more. Observing him closely Xerin could see that any reaction he had towards her was this time held under wraps. Perhaps having time to adjust to the shock had helped him control his emotions. Still, he looked decidedly uncomfortable as the group filtered in.
There was a few moments silence, and then Xerin raised her hand. “I have some concerns Sir.” She pointed out bluntly.
“As do I.” Semia added, also unconvinced by the Captains explanation.

Pride: Took his seat at the briefing table he noticed That Cole there new officer didn't look to happy he couldn't blame her she hadn't done anything yet everybody was looking at her like she knew what was going on. The Commander started to talk and was waiting for someone to say something. Thats when the shoe dropped the question that everybody was wanting to know was on the table what just happened 2 1/2 hours ago at the last briefing. Pride: Looked at the new Commander "Sir you should know right now there is a slight shift in the time line like a ripple in a pool of water starting to form, What happens at this moment will decide how far that shift will go. I know that everybody wants answers all I can say is be careful what you say, I wish I could be more exact but I can't I'm not as well trained in these things as others might be I can only sense changes and right now we are on the edge and I dont think we are suppose to be" <Tag Drago>

Lianna had just finished reading the information she had been given by the doctor when her voice came over the comm.
=/\=Tintagel to Lianna, you're in charge of sickbay until I return. It might be a while.=/\=
Lianna looked up started at the doctors words and then glanced down at Phantom before tapping her combadge.
=/\= Me, Ma’am …. Are you sure? =/\= she asked. Had she heard the doctor right, was she being left in charge of sickbay?
She stood up and made a motion with her hand, Phantom moving to her side. “Come on boy. Might as well find something to do out there, can’t have us sitting here all shift.” She said as she moved back into main sickbay waiting to hear the doctor’s response.

=/\=I'm positive. There's really not all that to do, but feel free to ask anyone around sickbay, or more, though I may, hopefully, be in a senior staff meeting=/\= Illito replied, then tapped the commbadge off before Lianna could object again.
Illito was relieved when the mission was rescheduled. She had been beginning to wonder if it would happen, or if she would be stuck on the bridge forever, wondering what was up with the Captain. But fortunately that wasn't the case.
Illito didn't have any objections to Captain Drago's apology. Or, at least, nothing substantial, and nothing that she had the least intent of voicing. But the Captain seemed a little distracted, which wasn't really worrying, but his distraction and inner concerns had earlier led him to make an outburst and cancel a briefing for no reason at all that Illito could see. Right now, Illito really wished the ship had a counselor. But it didn't, and so the major responsibilities of the counselor weren't really filled, except for a few by Illito. Although, come to think of it, Illito could probably use to talk to the counselor herself. Not that she had anything specific to talk about, but there must be a reason Starfleet suggested having a counselor on board each ship.
Illito listened to what Pride had to say, but she didn't think she fully understood it. “Would there be anything wrong with a shift in the time-line occurring?” Illito asked him, knowing it wasn't really her place to question ideas, but when she didn't understand something she saw it is a duty to say so, as long as she thought an answer to the question would benefit others.

Lianna and Phantom moved throughout sickbay. There wasn’t much to do currently so used the time to make sure that the department was stocked and to chat with the medics and other workers who were working through out the area.
She would not disappoint the doctor and would make sure that they were ready for whatever lie ahead. Phantom moved through the room, his head held high. The medics and the others in the department know recognizing him as a familiar figure when Lianna was near.

OOC: Okay, guys I think my mess of a scheduale is over, so lets get this mission back on track. IC: Paikea felt very uncomfortable sitting at the table. He was surprised that Semia had risen her hand signifing her concern. It seemed that everyone else was surprised, but waited for her to speak. Everyone knew that Semia was not shy about sharing her opinions. "Commander, I think it would be wise for this conversation to be held in private," Paikea said. "No, Commander this will be out in the open and after I relieve there concerns I will give you the mission briefing," Commander Drago said. (Tag all) OOC: I know its not much, and to me it doesn't flow, but its something . So lets get a posting people. ;D

Pride Watched the Commanders reaction to the xo and remembered Illito question. " I guess the point that Im trying to make is time has a funny way of balanceing it self. Everybody thinks that you cant mess with the time line. Well I disagree Our commander is here now with us the future is already changed he's here for a reason weather or not we are going in a new direction doesn't matter he's here to change a outcome that was not suppose to occur. Thats why I"m starting to sense the shift. Starfleet may disagree but last time I checked they were'nt time lords. Wheather the commander beleaves it or not he's here for a reason nothing happens by accident when you deal with time. The only question is if the commander will set the thing thats needs to be changed in motion or will you fall back on that you are not to change the future. Nothing is set no matter where you come from in time its always change to keep its self on track. I mean look who came back he did it could have been anybody but it was him he's here now. No matter what starfleet may beleave I can say with 100% Certainy that there's something that needs to be changed. The perfect example the enterprise D look how many times it was involved with time. Some people might say thats just dum luck I say it was time correcting its self and getting back on track" <Tag anybody>

IC:
Katie sat down next to Paikea and listened to everybody speak their minds. Katie noticed almost everybody had something to say to the Captain but she knew she didn't.
OOC: Mine's shorter Pai

Kari listened quietly. With the Captain's apology out and about, and everyone, or nearly everyone had an opinion. Kari didn't one way or another. As long as it didn't affect Engineering overly so, then she could care less. What had Kari's interest was the mission.
~Let bygones be bygones,~ Kari thought to herself. ~Time to move on.~

Illito nodded her understanding when Lieutenant Pride finished his explanation, indicating that she had been listening and was thinking about what he had said. She was sure that there were times when it was the right time to change the timeline, and frankly she didn't see why so many people thought it would be such a bad thing.
Illito was waiting for the Captain to explain the mission though, since she was getting tired of people objecting and just wanted to know what the orders where, so she could start following them. If this was going to turn into a let's-all-talk-about-what-we-see-wrong-with-various-approaches/the-captain, Illito frankly had better things to do than stick around. She didn't really object to people having things they wanted to discuss, but did they really have to be discussed in front of the whole senior staff?
Illito did notice that some people kept silent, and she decided to remain silent until she had something substantial to add to the discussion. Something that would clarify not just an inner question of her own, but add something for the rest of the crew as well.

Paikea looked at his friends, crewmates, and future friends. Most of them had stayed silent and to themselves. A few though felt it was necessary to say something. Paikea was torn, but felt that he belonged in the silent group. He wanted to know about the Commander, but he realized that not all personal information should be made public. For a second, Paikea forgot that Commander Drago was also a person with feelings and for that he was sorry.
"Semia, I think it best that we stop interrogating Commander Drago, it will leads us nowhere expect towards more strife," Paikea said.
"We need to know, Paikea, his decisions effect all of our lives," Semia responded back.
"True, but thats why we are here to help him make the best decisions possible," Paikea said," I don't think that Headquarters would of put someone unstable to command one of her starships and for now that good enough for me."
"I don't think its good enough for me," Semia responded defiantly.
"Well then talk to your friends, I know that you are very close to Admiral Loskene," Paikea said," talk to him and see what he says."
Paikea's suggestion seemed to calm down Semia's suspicions, and everyone seemed happy to be back to some normalcy. Commander Drago surveyed the room, took a breath and began the long awaited mission briefing.

Luke sighed and rubbed his hands through his hair. He felt old, far too old for any of this. In reality he was little over 40, the Luke he had sent to take his place was not even 20, it was wierd to think they were even the same person. Flicking a strand of greying hair from his eyes he surveyed the room. He had chosen to remain silent for most of the time, looking at each individual who had spoken and then to those he had responded. The conversation was going no where fast and Luke had no strength to stop it the inevitable discussion of the Timeline and how "stable" Luke was for Commanding from developing. It was Commander Apirana that brought the briefing back to it's original purpose which Luke was extremely grateful for. The whole process of Command was causing twinges in memories he was trying hard to forget...
He took a deep intake of breath and began.
"Right now we have a very simple mission to complete." He began. "The Volcheck Nebula is known for its instability and near impossibility to navigate." He smiled to himself at this point. Near was the operative word here, he himself had done it many times in the past for various reasons and was sure that Lt. Pride was more than capable of doing the same. "We are to undergo "Wargame" exercises." He continued. "I wish to see response times and general tactical ability in a crisis situation. The mission Command originally assigned us has been postponed until further notice."

The word Nebula caught the Engineering Chief's hearing. NEbulas could mean bad things for her engines.
"Excuse me for expressing my ignorance of this region of space, sir. But what type of nebula is the Volcheck Nebula?" she asked.
Glancing around she noted that a few people glanced at her slightly surprised that she had spoke, almost like they had forgotten the Betazoid was even there. After all she hadn't said much to anyone outside Rezula. But, Kari turned her gaze back to the Commander, waiting for an answer.

Pride: Kept his opion to himself he could tell this was not the time to voice it. He was listening to the Commander when he explained they were heading to the Nebula, being just as concerned about the Nebula as Mercia she beat him to the question. He wasn't engineer but there concerns were the same. what flight Hazards were there what kind of strain on the ship.
Waiting for a reply he looked over at Ensign Mercia " You know this is going to change a few things depending on what type of Nebula this is, You think you might be able to change the shield to cut down on the effects. My next worry is response time she might become sluggish depend on the gravity wells" <Tag Mercia>

Illito listened to the mission outline without any external reaction, not because she was suppressing any emotions but because she had no internal reaction. The mission didn't seem to affect her at all, she wasn't likely to be influence response times or tactical ability.
She rose, and left the briefing room for sickbay. She entered, and was assured that no major catastrophes had occurred, a fact Lianna seemed a little surprised at.
Illito entered her office, and checked what medical records she had for everyone. She had them for all the crew that had been on the ship, not too surprisingly, but there were quite a few new members. Illito sighed, she guessed she had to start somewhere, and she should probably start with the navigator before he became more busy. This mission seemed like it would involve most of the crew, which meant she would be one of few without something to do. She waited a while, re-ordering the newly stocked sickbay to a more efficient order. She wanted to be sure that everyone else was also out of the mission.
=/\=Commander Tintagel to Lieutenant Pride, please report to sickbay for your medical physical as soon as you have the time=/\= Illito requested. She had learned, the hard way, that a little politeness could be quite effective in encouraging people to come to sickbay.
