Calvin stood face to face with his instuctor and listened to her short lecture about what an Ops officer is responsible for, and her instructions. "Aye sir." Calvin said quickly and positioned himself infront of the forward console.
He first scanned over all the material on the console to try and fimiliarize himself with all the navigation buttons. "Engineering, Life Support.." Calvin said to himself as he continued to read on.
He had only worked on model consoles before and he wasn't really for sure what to expect on a live console. A model console would only do what the programmer wanted it to, but now that he was on a ship the console was showing a true pulse. A pulse that could surprise him at any time. A pulse that he needed to keep going.
Once Cadet Capps was fairly happy with him fimiliarity with console as best as he could in a few minutes, he turned to his instructor once again.
"Commander McCormick." Calvin said and then paused. "Do you know what our mission is?"

"Cadet Jack Whillis reporting in, Cmdr. Graxon," Said Whillis
"Hello Cadet, John Graxon ... good to have you aboard. I'm waiting on another navigation cadet to report in, but in the mean time have you found your quarters?" John asked.
"Not yet sir," Jack replied. "right after I came aboard you said to report to the bridge, decided I would do that before getting directions to my quarters. Do the cadets share Quarters?"
"We should be called to a briefing soon where we will get our orders and for a navigation officer, that is when you will get any known information about where this ship is headed. You will need to take a PaDD with you ... unless you have a good memory ... but even if you do ... I would still take one along." John was looking at the Cadet with a smile while saying this remembering the time he went on his Academy training missions. "Cadet, have you ever piloted a ship of this size out of space dock before?"
Jack looked suprised at this question, "No sir. I have piloted shuttles on the holodeck and I have flown my Aunt's air car but never a starship, Haven't even been on a Starfleet starship since my father died." Jack stopped talking remembering that day.

After exploring the ship for about an hour and intoducing herself to the crew Soaringstar decided to head back to her and Hannah's quarters.
The Hanson was a great ship, though only a training vessel, was one to be proud of. She was glad that all her friends serve on this ship as well, even her Klingon friend.
"I wonder if the Hanson can take two Klingon cadets?" she thought and chuckled silently to herself.
As she got closer to her quarters she saw Tyrron approach her...

"Hey, soarinstar" Tyrron said when he approached her "ehm... I wanted to ask you something.... Maybe it is a stupid question but this is spooking in my head since we met each other for the first time. And I don't know why I have this question but.... Well... It's just, ehm..."Tyrron became a little shy, and looked to the ground for a couple of seconds and then he looked up. And looked at her, "Well you look like a Klingon to me, but you also look different then any other Klingon lady I have met. You look so much prettier...No,no no wait I meant Human you look so much more Human." Tyrron's face became a little red and he didn't know where to look.

“ Do the cadets share Quarters?” asked Cadet Whillis. Smiling at the Cadet John answered, “ Yes, I guess that I just part of being a Cadet. You are paired with Cadet Calvin Capps, Operations Cadet I think. You can find your quarters by accessing any corridor access panel.” " Cadet, have you ever piloted a ship of this size out of space dock before?" John asked. " No sir. I have piloted shuttles on the holodeck and I have flown my Aunt's air car but never a starship, haven’t even been on a Starfleet starship since my father died" the young Cadet replied back. John’s counseling side perked up and wanted to ask about the cadet’s father, but he wasn’t the ships counselor right now he was the navigations instructor. “ Cadet, I think we may need to run to the holodeck after the briefing to run through some simulations before the real thing. Cadet Wuir, I believe, has some flight time behind his belt.” John didn’t want to discourage the Cadet, but space dock piloting is too tricky for someone’s first time out. “ Don’t worry Cadet, you will have many opportunities on this mission to sit behind the controls,” John reassured Jack. “ We do have extra chairs set up behind the flight console where I and other Cadets can observe during flight. In the mean time, you can review star ship flight instructions in this location, (http://s47.org/guides/helm.php) , in the ships library. If you can review that before we leave space dock, then I would not have any objections allowing you to sit behind the controls when we leave."

Jack saw the Commander perk up at the mention of his father but was releaved that he did not push the topic. “Cadet, I think we may need to run to the holodeck after the briefing to run through some simulations before the real thing. Cadet Wuir, I believe, has some flight time behind his belt.” Jack was a little releaved and a little annoyed that the other cadet already knew more about flying the ship then he did, but such is the way with life. You live, you learn and then you fly with out blowing everyone up. “Don’t worry Cadet, you will have many opportunities on this mission to sit behind the controls,” John reassured Jack. “We do have extra chairs set up behind the flight console where I and other Cadets can observe during flight. In the mean time, you can review star ship flight instructions in this location, (http://s47.org/guides/helm.php) , in the ships library. If you can review that before we leave space dock, then I would not have any objections allowing you to sit behind the controls when we leave."
"Yes sir, I will get right on it and have it all down sir." Jack quickly located a library terminal and dwnloaded the info to his PADD and began studying it closely. He also accesed a diagram of the ship and located his quarters. He went back over to Graxon, "I have the information on my PADD sir and with your permision I would like to go to my Quarters and stow my stuff sir."

Soaringstar looked at Tyrron with her piercing blue eyes, trying to figure him out. "Your right, I am part human. I get from my father, he is Cherokee. But the Cherokee heart isn't that different from a Klingon's. You could say we are like Klingons without the ridges," with that she laughed openly and then asked with a smile, "So, what House are you part of and did you live on the Klingon homeworld or somewhere else?

“Thank you,” Hannah said to Noah as he showed her into her quarters and told her when she needed to report to engineering for duty. Then he walked away heading to Shelby’s quarters. Hannah entered the room. Hannah had never actually shared a room, at the academy and on the starbase there was enough space for to everyone to have there own quarters. But she knew on a starship space was limited and junior officers had to share. Hannah wasn’t the tidiest cadet and knew she would have to make an effort to be tidy as not to frustrate her roommate. Hannah looked around the room. There were two single beds against each wall with sets of a small set of draws next to them. Next to her there was a small table and chairs and replicator. On her other side were two desks with more draws underneath, a shelving unit and door that she assumed head to the bathroom. Hannah guessed that Soaringstar had already moved in from the object clustered around the room. Hannah went over the empty bed and placed her bag on it. She opened it up and began to unpack. She was careful to put her things neatly away in the draws provided. As she unpacked she came across a PAD. She recognized the PAD as where all her pictures were stored. Hannah jumped on the bed and lay down knocking her nearly empty suitcase onto floor. She activated the PAD scanning though the pictures. Then she came to one it was a picture of her mother and her sat in the old shuttle, they use to fly together. Another image flashed into her mind of her mother laying on that biobed. Being in space had brought it all back to her all the things she had tried to block out about her mother’s death. She remembered her mother holding her hand tight and the grip got looser and looser until her mother’s hand had fallen out of Hannah’s. Hannah remembered looking at mother’s her silence and still body. Her father had tried to comfort her, but she had ran out of sickbay and down the corridor her eyes filling with tears and straight into Captain Gordon of the U.S.S. Young. Hannah quickly stood up and trying shake the memory and concentrate on something else. She placed the PAD in the top draw of the cabinet next to the bed and finished unpacking her things. Hannah heard familiar voices outside the door of her room; it took her a moment for her to recognize they were Soaringstar and Tyroons. She wanted to go and joined them, but she stopped herself. She had seen the way they had looked at each other on the holodeck and didn’t want to interrupt. Instead she headed over the computer on her desk and checked if there was any new communications for her. There was one new message from her family on Earth. She was about to open it when Soaringstar entered room. “So how is it going? What is your instructor like?” Hannah asked Soaringstar as she closed the program on her computer and shut it down. She would read the message later when she had more time to reply as well. <Tag Soaringstar> OCC: Tyroon feel free to come into are quarters and join us for a chat.

"OK Cadet, that is fine ... remember to report to the briefing on time. It wouldn't do for you to be late ... things happen when Cadets are late," John said almost not able to hold back a joking smirk.

Having recieved permision to go to his quarters Jack grabbed his bag that he had set down and quickly entered the turbolift calling out his destination as the doors closed. As the lift moved to its destination jack could not help but think of the recent occurence, and wondered if the commander thought of him as a naive and stupid cadet for not having known how to fly the ship. ~I will just have to prove myself then.~ he thought as the lift doors finally opened.
The corridor was still crowded as cadets, officers, and other crewman hurried to get the ship ready or stow their gear in their quarters. Jack walked down the hall and dodged a large antigrav cart that was carrying either probes or torpedoes, he did not really see which, that was being pushed by a rushing crewman shouting for everyone to clear the corridor. He soon found cabin number 14 and hit the pad next to the door to enter. He looked around the spacius living area with its few chairs, table and a replicator. He went through a side door to see the sleeping area with it's beds and desks. Seing only one desk clear he started to unpack his items.
He pulled out three pictures first and set them up one at a time, the first was one of his Father in his starfleet uniform, Mother, and him at about sevn years old. The next was with him, his Mother, and his Aunt just before he left for the academy, he was almost a spitting image of his father in his cadets uniform. The last was with him holding on tight to a young red bushy haired girl, looking like he could never be happier, this had been taken right after he got accepted to starfleet.
After setting these up he put his bag down on the floor under his desk and began reading his messages that had built up since leaving Earth.

Tyrron looked in those pretty blue eye's of Soaringstar and for a moment he didn't knew what to say. So where are you from? Soarinstar asked him again. "Ow yeah, yea sorry I came from the Klingon homeland, and I'm not sure if I came from an house, I do know that i've been from a bloodline of warrior's. My family consist of almost 7 generations of great and respected warriors. And the weapon I have with me... well it belonged to the first generation. Every dad passed it on to his son, and now i've earned it from my dad. And i'm going to make him proud. When Tyrron started to talked about his family he looked up as the other generations were looking at him from above, Tyrron had an proud look on his face. And for a moment he forgot that he was still on the ship, he forgot everything around him. Like he was in some sort of trance. (O.C.C: I will Hanah, don't worry <Soarinstar>

As Cated Shelby walked onto the ship he passed a cople crew members saying hello. One of the crew members even stoped and asked me why my eyes where colored the way they are and I told him that when I was a kid I got into some chemicals that changed them. Then he and I talked a bit more then we started our own ways agen. Then he began looking for Commander Bates tho he wasn't at the air lock.I started to walk to look around mindlessly trying to find my quarters. After alittle wile I made my way to Hannah's quarters. She told me that the Commander headed to my quarters and she pointed me in the direction he walked. After a little searching I found Commander Bates at my quarters waiting for me.
(Commander Bates says:I waited at the air lock for you and the other cadet but she showed up befor you so I showed her to her quarters and I assumed you made it to your Quarters.)
Yes well after a bit of searching I mannaged to find my way around this way.Well I'm not to sure who I'm living with but I'm alittle unconfertable about the whole idea.Whan I lived in the with my grandma I had half a house to my self.Well it was nice meeting you Commander.
(Commander Bates says:Nice meeting you to Cadet Shelby why dont you get use to your room and take a look around.Well I have to be get going bye.)
After Commander Bates left I look around the room set my stuff in down and started looking around the ship. After a second he asked the computer where Sickbay was because he has to have his eyes checked every once in a wile to make sure they dont have any problems. As I walked to Sickbay I noticed that I had never met this ships Doctor befor. As I walked in I seen the Doctor.
(Doctor Black Said:Hello can I help you cadet.)
Yes I need my eyes checked if you check my medical files you will see everything you need to know. After he checked them he said he would have to compare the previous readings to now.Well I'll come back latter I'll see you latter.

Drew looked up smiling at S’reena,
“That’s wonderful news S’reena,” he rose from behind his chair and walked up to embrace his First Officer, “Twins! Congratulations, I would be honoured to be godfather.”
“Thank you sir,” S’reena said, smiling broadly, “it shall certainly make things more interesting around here.”
“Indeed it should,” Drew laughed, as he picked up one of the padds on his desk, “we better go and brief those Cadets.”
Picking up her own padd, S’reena nodded in agreement; Drew finished off the cup of tea on his desk, and then with one last tug on his uniform jacket led the way to the exit.
The bridge itself was now staffed with a mix of Alpha and Beta shift, with a number of Cadet’s practising at there new stations. Noticing the arrival of the Captain and First Officer, some Cadet’s stood to attention. With a friendly smile, Drew told them to be at ease, he then pretended to be busy listening to a report from a Yeoman, as the Instructors hurriedly escorted the Cadets to the mess hall, ready for the briefing.
When the bridge was mostly cleared, Drew and S’reena made there own way to the mess hall, the corridors of the ship were now much quiet than before. Most of the crew and Cadets had arrived on the ship, and had found there quarters. Arriving at the mess hall, Drew was pleased to see all of the Instructors and Cadets gathered, someone in the background piped a whistle, announcing the arrival of Drew and S’reena. Almost as one, the entire group of people stood smartly to attention, Drew nodded politely at the group.
“Well, good morning,” Drew said smiling at the group, “and welcome to the Hanson, for those of you who don’t know, I am Rear Admiral Paul Drew, and this is my First Officer Commander S’reena Hope.”
“You are all probably wondering what will be happening this mission, what we expect, and how you will get through it all in one piece.” Drew laughed at the end of his sentence, in a feeble attempt to relax the Cadets. Some of the Instructor’s smiled at the bad joke, and the Cadet’s didn’t seem to know which way to take it.
“Our mission itself is relatively simple, we will be making a brief stop at Starbase 28, and then Starfleet wishes for us to explore some nearby systems. Along the way we will also be running a number of drills, to test each of your ability, we are not expecting to be in any real tactical situations, although you never know what space may hold.” Stepping back slightly, Drew nodded to S’reena, who stepped forward to address the assembled crewmembers.
“Before we dine, we will be conducting tours of the ship, we will be split into two groups, Admiral Drew and myself will be accompanying each group, but it will be mostly be your Instructors pointing out various important features.”
“And that as they say is that,” Drew said, stepping forward again, “Commander Hope will sort you each into your groups, and then we will go on the tour. Afterwards we will return here for a wonderful dinner that the Chef has prepared.”
S’reena walked between the assembled officers and cadets, and started to divide them into groups, while Drew went over to check with Chef to make sure everything was prepared for later. A few minutes later, Drew was pleased to see S’reena had everyone ready.
“Shall we begin?” Drew said.
OCC:
From this point, posts can be made arriving at the mess hall, listening to the talks, thoughts of what is being said etc. If you are feeling particularly bold, you could even start the first parts of the tour.
Also a big well done, and good work to everyone who has posted so far, I have a good feeling about this class!

After coming from the Sickbay he made his way around the ship intill he herd about the meeting in the mess hall.Insted of asking the computer sence that is no fun he decided to find his way. After about a 15 minutes he got sick of it and asked the computer where the Mess hall is.As he made his way there he ran into all kinds of crewmen making there way there aswell.Even tho manny where talkative he didn't talk much but he herd about the S’reena Twins.Tho he hasent even been there for 1 day big things are starting to happen. This means that this will be one amazing trek and one long one aswell. As he arrived he noticed the commander making groups out of the other cadets that has made it so far.As she did so he snuck his way into one of the groups and waited tho she cought him and put him in a new group. All wile she was doing this he kept wondering what is she gonna name them and are they boys or girls?Even this is a new and relatively hectic enviroment he was beggining to like it.He could see all the other cadets where getting use to it already aswell tho I have no what it's gonna be like once we leave. As expected all the cadets including himself where varry exited to finnaly look around the ship.Tho It is always tempting to sneek off and look around on your own he decided to stick with it after all the nice commander took the time to make groups.Tho the Tactical officers want to see the weapons I am varry eager to get to the Engineering section so he could get his first look at it and what shape its in but with the CEO it has to be in tip top condition.

After showing Shelby to his quarters, Noah headed back to Main Engineering. The Cadets' introduction to the Engine Room could wait until after the Briefing, or until they got bored in their quarters, whichever came first.
As he rolled into Engineering, Lieutenant Bates looked up. He stopped what he was doing, and came over. "So, what's the new batch look like?"
"Stevenson is pretty enthusiastic, from what I've seen of her. And full of energy as well. Shelby, not sure. Haven't had much chance yet. Inquisitive, seems to like to do things for himself. Qualities that I can mold into useful purposes."
"Sounds like a good group then," Mike commented. "Say, don't you have a Briefing in a few minutes?" he asked, looking at the ship's chronometer.
"You're right I do," Noah said, realizing the time. "Off I go," he said, and promptly spun the chair around and left.
He arrived, not the first one, but fortunately before Admiral Drew and Commander Hope. When they came in, he moved himself into the center so that he could see properly, being at a height disadvantage from all present. Come to think of it, the only ones on the ship without a height advantage over him were Commander Hope's children.
He listened intently to Admiral Drew's briefing. No real tacticals situations, good, he thought to himself. That means all necessary repairs can be of my making. Excellent.
When the groups were organized, Bates quietly went where he was told, glad to be the one accepting orders for once.

Jack sat in his quarters practicing manuevers on his computer terminal when he looked up and saw it was nearly time for the briefing and if he did not hurry he would be late. He shut off his computer and rushed for the door before turning back, remembering what commander graxon said about the PADD. Having his PADD in hand he quickly rushed through the corridors and made it to the mess hall just before the Admiral.
He listened closely to the briefing and put down there destinations on his PADD. At the mention of food his stomache gave a little rumble since he had not eaten anything all day, and hoped noone heard it. He stood and waited as the Commander sorted the cadets into the two groups and joined his.

Jason was busy setting up the Computer to run the projections on the adult heights of the Hope triplets. The doors opened, and a tall, well-built young man stepped into Sickbay. Jason put down the PADD he was referencing on computer modeling and walked over.
He noticed the Cadet’s magenta eyes, but hid his surprise. “Hello,” he said jovially. “Can I help you, Cadet?”
“Yes,” he said, “I need my eyes checked. If you check my medical files you will see everything you need to know.”
“Alright then,” Jason said, pulling the tricorder from his belt and flipping it open. He scanned the eyes thoroughly. “I’ll have to compare your previous records to now.”
“Well I'll come back later,” he said. “I'll see you latter.” He then left.
“Computer,” Jason said, “identify the cadet that just left Sickbay.”
“Cadet Jebadia Shelby,” was the response.
Michael Hope came out of the Lab section of Sickbay. “Problem?”
“Not exactly,” Jason said. “Except that Cadet never introduced himself. I had to ask the computer. His eyes were an odd color, I also noticed. I wonder what species he is; the name sounds human. Computer, access biographical information on Cadet Jebadia Shelby. Display in my office,” he said, then went over to his desk.
He sat down, and was surprised. “Hmm, he’s human. Never seen a human with magenta eyes though.” He scanned the record. “Ah, chemical accident when he was five years old. Interesting.” He stood. “Well, I’ll have to continue that later. I’ve got a briefing in a few minutes.”
He left, and went to the Mess Hall. Large group of Cadets this time around, it seemed. He listened to the briefing. Sounds safe enough, he thought to himself. But security cadets always manage to injure themselves anyway, so I’ll be guaranteed something to do.
As they formed the groups for the tour, he realized there might be a problem with a group this large suddenly appearing in Sickbay, even if cut in half. He went to a wall console. He sent a message to display on the consoles: Tour groups of Cadets and Instructors on the way. Be prepared for appearance up to 10 people –Doctor Black

John was prepping the navigation controls on the bridge to standard configuration, ‘textbook for the first few days before I allow them to configure them the way they are more comfortable to the cadets,’ John thought. Leaving space dock was really a tricky thing so John programmed the controls to only accept the maximum safe velocity for space dock from speed inputs; this was a safety protocol program that was a mandatory procedure for first time navigation cadets. John had just completed this task as the Captain and First Officer walked onto the bridge.
“Time to go to the mess hall,” John said under his breath.
******
As the briefing was given, John looked around the hall and was glad to see both of the navigation cadets … and taking destination notes as well. John was also glad to hear this wasn’t going to be a tactical mission, ‘other than drills’ he thought.
“Commander Hope will sort you each into your groups, and then we will go on the tour. Afterwards we will return here for a wonderful dinner that the Chef has prepared,” Drew said.
Commander Hope was getting everyone into groups and in general the hall was a buzz of quieted small talk. The Commander, with her usual sureness, had everyone in groups in a really short amount of time. The Captain saw this and had everyone moving along. John didn’t want to go on a tour this time round, he had already had one not to long ago. So he just sat back and watched, not uncommon for a Counselor to do … a hobby of John’s really.
Serrith Wuir was standing in a group of Cadets headed for the lower parts of the ship. So, John caught up with the group and walked up to Wuir. “Cadet Wuir, I hope you have found your quarters.”
<Tag Wuir>
“I wanted to ask you something Cadet. Your records didn’t make it onboard … or at least they haven’t yet … and I need to know how much flight time you have on your log. Also, has any of that time been with any larger shuttles?”

Tyrron listened carefully to the briefing. My first mission on board here good, I'm ready for it. Hmm, it sounds pretty safe too bad, well never mind I'll just go train myself then and prepare myself, after all you''ll never know what will happen.
Tyrron smiled when he heard aboard the diner, great he love's eating.
Now tyrron is waiting in which group he will be putted in.

S'reena wasn't sure how to proceed; she'd never really arranged a tour of the ship before and even as first officer she didn't blindly know the way around the ship herself. ~what else are information panels for~ she thought, as she consulted her PADD.
"All right, team one will consist of Cadets Stevenson, Wuir, Capps and Commanders Bates and Graxen. Team two will consist of Cadets Soaringstar, Tyrron, Whillis and Shelby, as well as Commander McCormick and Lieutenant Arakkis. Admiral Drew will remain on the bridge, while I will see to it that dinner arrangements are completed. Any questions?"
Before anyone could request a swap of teams, she held up her hand. "Your team stays as it is. Please listen carefully to your teamleaders, as they will know what is safe and what is not." She nodded towards the door of the briefingroom. "After dinner, a mission briefing will be conducted. Please be on time, dismissed"
<cadets/instructors>
She and Drew remained behind while the rest walked (or wheeled) out. "Well, that was something," she sighed, sitting back down in her chair, "any idea what Starfleet Command has in store for us this time?" She gazed up at her commanding officer. "I hope it will be nothing too dramatic, I would really like to sit out a mission without having to visit sickbay for once." She grimaced. "For some odd reason, trouble always seems to find me, however much I try to avoid it."
<Drew>

Hannah listened to Soaringstar answers. Then realizing what time it was and how soon the briefing was. She turned to Soaringstar.
“Is it alright if I use to the sonic shower?” she asked Soaringstar. Soaringstar nodded. Hannah was a bit nerves about sharing quarters and was trying her best to keep everything running smoothly.
She walked over to her set of draws and took out a new uniform and then headed in the bathroom. She placed the uniform on one of the tops in the bathroom. Then she untied her blonde hair let it fall down over her shoulders. Hannah got undressed throwing her clothes in a heap on the floor, and then stepped in the sonic shower.
“Activate sonic shower,” she requesting feeling the waves upon her skin removing all the dirt. As she stood in the shower, her mind started to wander again. She began to think about what it would like to be an engineer and about what the mission was going to be like.
The sonic shower stopped and Hannah stepped back out and got back dressed into her new uniform. She picked up the dirty on of the floor and placed it in the clothes disposal to be cleaned.
Hannah looked around realizing that Soaringstar had already left. She brushed her hair quickly and left her quarter. She was running late now.
Hannah arrived at the messhall to see everyone already sat down in the rows of seats. Luckily the briefing had not begun. Hannah took a seat at the back and listened to the briefing.
As S’reena read out the list of groups, Hannah listened carefully for her name and then for her group members names. She had meet Capps once before in the Heather on the hill and she obviously had meet her instructor Noah Bates. But she didn’t know the other two names.
She listened as S’reena finished of speaking and then stood up looking to find Noah or Capps though the crowd of people who had also just stood up. Hannah pushed her way though the crowd looking around. Then she noticed Noah sat at the front in the centre. She walked over to him.
“So where are we starting off first?” she asked, “I hope it engineering, I have been looking forward to see it.”
She watched as everyone else tried to find people they recognized from there groups. She kept a constant eye out for Capps and tried to work out who the other two were from where people were heading.

(OOC: It was overlooked, but Doctor Black will be in group 1)
As the groups formed, Noah realized that has Second Officer, he was the highest ranked among the group. Therefore it fell to him to lead the tour. He saw Cadet Stevenson come over to him.
“So where are we starting off first?” she asked, “I hope it is engineering, I have been looking forward to see it.”
Noah nodded. "Indeed it is. I'm team leader in this case, and I'm biased toward my own department, so we'll start there," he said, winking.
He turned to face his group. He focused less on Doctor Black and Counselor Graxen, and more on the Cadets. "Right then, we'll start the tour here." He sweeped his arm around, indicating the room. "As you already know, this is the Mess Hall. Good place to spend time when you're off-duty, really bad place to be found you're supposed to be on duty."
Graxen and Black chuckled, and the Cadets looked around. There were a few crewmembers around, but none looked particularly awake as they either just woken up, or had just gotten off night shift.
"You all know how to find the Bridge, as its one of the only things on Deck 1, and will have to go there for duty anyway, so we'll skip that. Our first stop will be Main Engineering, so follow me and keep up," he said, and turned his chair toward the door. He activated the power steering feature of the chair, and rolled his chair forward.
As they went down the hall, he said, "For those of you not familiar with starship design, the wall of these corridors are made of solid duranium. It's one of the strongest metals known to the Federation, so I wouldn't recommend punching or kicking the wall if you're mad, as that will really hurt."
They all piled into the turbolift. "Deck 11," Bates instructed the computer. As he went down, he said, "For those of you that ever have nightmares about being stuck in a plummeting turbolift, let me assure you that there are quite a few fail-safe systems on these things, so such accidents are rare."
A few minutes later, they arrived in Main Engineering. "Welcome to Main Engineering. Don't touch any panels unless I tell you to do something, and especially lean on any consoles."
A tall young Lieutenant with jet-black hair and pale white skin walked up. "Welcome to Engineering. I'm Lieutenant Mike Bates, Assistant Chief Engineer."
"Yes, we have two Bates in Engineering, probably was a joke from someone I know in the Personnel Department. Don't get us confused." Turn towards the Warp core, he said, "Meet the Warp Core, the heart of a starship. Inside a chamber, matter and antimatter collide to produce huge amounts of energy, which are channeled to the Warp Coils, which create the Warp field, which allow us to move among the stars without taking a lifetime getting from one star to the next."
"Unless there are any questions about Engineering, we'll move onto Sickbay next. Anyone?" he asked the Cadets.

Jack joined his group and looked around. He did not know many people on the ship yet and had yet to meet his room mate or the other navigation cadet. He did not know any of the people in his group but he guessed he would learn some names soon enough. He watched as the other cadets and instructors in his group got together and waited for the tour to start. While waiting he could not help but smell the food that was being cooked. ~The sooner we get this tour done the sooner we eat.~ He often had the slight problem of thinking about his stomache first.

After the cadet made it to the mess hall he rembered that he forgot to give Doctor Black his name.Right then he seen Commander Bates. He asked the Commander if he knows where his group would be going after a short pause the Commander answered I dont know why don't you ask the Commanding Officer in your group I will later.Right after asking him that we all got to our seats and sat down.Just after we sat down Hannah walked in you could see she was alittle stressed but releaved at the same time. After she sat down the Brief began.
About 15 maybe 20 Minutes later the staff was done. Then we all got up and got into the groups.Well as he joined his group he notice that he really only knew Soaringstar the rest of them he barely could remember there name.He had known fellow cadets Tyrron and Whillis from hearing about them on the Starbase. He really didnt know the other staff members in his group either. As the other group left he started to wonder where exactly he is going to be going. So Instead of asking he decided to relax and just let the Leader of the group tell him.

Not wanting to have too big of a delay between the announcement and the actual tour, Joan walks over to the Lt. "Hi, I realize we haven't met yet, and wanted to do so. I haven't really conducted a tour before, and am not sure if you have. Anyways, I think we should begin with introductions, and then move down the decks to the different areas. What do you think?" She says hoping for something positive from this.

Having the group get together not too long after their small meeting, Joan feels a little nervous, and wonders if she had served with the Lt before. She ignores her thoughts, bring herself back to the task at hand.
"Hello, cadets, I am Commander Joan McCormick, and we are going to begin our tour shortly. First off I think we should have a round of introductions, and please tell us what you will be training in." She says remembering she didn't say what she was teaching. "Oh, and I'm the Operations Instructor, sorry thought I should give a good example, go ahead cadet." She says ushering the introductions into play.
