Brelev had returned from an unsuccessful attempt to wedge open the second door to the corridor (having found that the main door would not respond), to find her cadet holding a hypospray looking guilty, Cadet Stephen's laying on the ground, Cadet T'Pren looking as though she had just been attacked and Konal Manto, hands on her hips, with a fiery look in her eye.
"I missed something didn't I?" Brelev asked, copying the Cardiassian's stance. "Cadet Isis, explain what happened. Nurse, help Cadet Stephen's onto a bio bed." Ellena jumped into action, a vaguely amused look on her face.
<Tag Cadet Isis>
"You did what!?" Brelev hollered, before composing herself. The lights flickered on and the door slid open and closed as if to explain that it would, once again, be cooperative. "Konal and Cadet T'Pren you are free to leave." Brelev directed, her gaze still fixed on Catiline. "Cadet, my office now."
Brelev turned and marched into her office were she took a seat and stared coldy at her cadet. Cadet Isis showed a great deal of promise, but clearly needed a lecture on ethics. "As a doctor the health and therefore the lives of the crew is in your hands. You never administer a medication for any reason but to give aid. You must take your role seriously at all times. An action like that could land you in front of JAG, have your license revoked and leave you working on cruise ships administering motion sickness pills for the rest of your life. Do you understand?"
<Tag Cadet Isis>
"You will officially apologize to Cadet Stephens, Commander Manto and Cadet T'pren. I will not mark this on your record, but I will be keeping an eye on you." Brelev took a deep breath, finding herself shaking. "Understood?"

As the Delta Flyer neared the alien cruiser, Tovan heard Commander Hope briefing the security cadets on the plan for assault. He turned to Colonel Methos to network on maneuvers for the upcoming battle. Tovan had never flown in combat before, and he found himself feeling... nervous. That was odd, he hadn't felt any emotion since before he joined the Academy. Relying on some of his more basic means of discipline, he set the nervousness aside.
With a few well placed phaser shots, Methos disabled the enemy vessel's shields. Tovan quickly threw the ship into evasive maneuvers, weaving and dodging the returning fire. With the Delta Flyer's shields down for transport, it was imperative that the Flyer not be hit. He noticed Commander Shinsei take the other pilot's station, a logical precaution, he thought. They could share the navigation and piloting load. Suddenly, the fire stopped.
"Commander Shinsei, their weapons are down, if you can get us closer to the cruiser," Methos said.
As she brought the flyer in close, Tovan noted and compensated for the other vessel's attempt to flee. As the assault team beamed aboard, Methos barked out an order to get out of there. Tovan quickly laid in a course for the Hanson and engaged at maximum warp. He noticed Cadet Crusser coming forward again.
"Did the rescue of the ambassador go as planned?" he asked

"......Consider yourself on report." she said. "Yes Ma'am!" Said Cati, saluting sarcastically. "And it was only the first time!"Not that it matters anyway...... She thought.Cati snatched Philimontre and put him in her pocket."Please remember Vulcan," she whispered "that I don't have to take orders from you!" "......Cadet Isis, explain what happened. Nurse, help Cadet Stephen's onto a bio bed......" "Well I was using my pheromones to tempt my tribble out, and they have created an effect on Mr Stephens, who then leapt on T'pren and kissed her. I maneged to sedate him though."Yes, Ma'am. Sorry Ma'am.""Yes, Doctor!"Cati raised her hand. "Yes, Cadet?" "That hasn't happened before." Caitlin looked around nervously. "The tribble is normally the only one to react, and the pheromones looked different somehow...... more green I would say." <tag Brelev if possibley>

S'reena exchanged a surprised glance with the Klingon cadet when they both felt themselves being taken by a transporter beam. Unbeknownst to them, a third person was beamed over with them. As soon as she had fully materialised, she and Kang were jumped from behind, knocking them effectively to the deck.
Dazed from the impact, S'reena crawled back to her feet, seeing Kang do the same. She spotted the horrified expression on the diplomat's face, his gaze fixed on something behind Klingon and Romulan. Seconds later, she saw Crusser storm into the area his phaser drawn, his finger pulling the trigger.
The Romulan first officer shoved the diplomat aside, trying to keep him out of range, but she was too late. As Crusser pulled the trigger, a beam as wide as the room erupted from the weapon, effectively stunning all four of them without warning. S'reena groaned as she slumped back to the deck, her own phaser sliding from her grip as the muscles in her hand relaxed.
The last thing she heard before passing out was a curse coming from the Klingon cadet.
The first thing she heard when she came to was someone telling her that Ambassador Davis was dead. "Great," she murmured as she rubbed her temples, "Tovan...what's our ETA to the Hanson? Crusser, Kang, get started on investigating Davis' death. I want to know why, how and when he died...Methos, assist them but let them figure it out."
A little shaky, she got back to her feet and walked to the front. "Get me the Hanson," she said, her voice a little hoarse as her throat went dry. "I have the pleasure of informing the admiral about the bad news..." It was something she wasn't looking forward to. As soon as Drew's face appeared on the screen, she could tell from the look on his face that he could already tell something was wrong. "I'm afraid I have bad news," she started, squinting against the brightness of the screen. "Admiral Davis got killed. Crusser and Kang are investigating with Methos' aid."

Brelev leaned back in her chair and thought for a moment. "Pheromones are extremely dangerous, I suggest you find another way of controlling your pet. Obviously whatever you usually use is substantially less potent then what you used today. I hope you have learned a lesson from all this."
<Tag Cadet Isis>
"Now, I need to figure out what happened to make our lights go out. You will find that being confined to sickbay leaves you out of the loop far too often." Brelev explained as she stood up. "While I am gone you will be in charge, however if anything more then a splinter walks in I want you to notify me immediately. Understand?"
"Yes Mame." Cadet Isis replied. Brelev dearly hopped she was not thrusting this responsibility on the young women too soon. Of course the pheromone incident had looked much more unethical then it had been.
The rest of the ship was in a frenzy about something, but every time Brelev tried to stop a crew member to get answers, she was brushed off. Engineering was no different, however here Brelev was pulled aside by a young human women she knew as Jenny Porter. "They haven't gone out again have they?" she asked.
"The lights in sickbay? No, I came down to ask what had happened and stretch my legs for a bit."
"Oh, oh good." Jenny smiled. "It was just an expired gel pack. I fixed it all up immediately."
Brelev excused herself and decided to head up the the bridge instead of back to sickbay. Technically she was off duty now, however since she needed no sleep she usually just stuck around after her shift. Today things where different, Catiline needed to show she could manage things on her own. When Brelev stepped off the turbolift the first thing she noticed was that neither Crystal nor Cadet Tovan where at the helm, but rather Tiffany. Brelev headed over to Admiral Drew and sat down in Commander Hope's chair. So, the First officer was gone and no one had thought to notify the second officer?
"Admiral, care to let me in?" Brelev asked.

Crystal listened to the klingon cadet's plan, fighting to avoid showing her disbelief on her face. Part of training was seeing how many phaser blasts people could sustain! How was that a good idea? Then again, if Crystal had to choose one people who would do that, it would be the klingons. Crystal shook her head rapidly, suddenly, putting an end to those thoughts. Klingons weren't necessarily those she had grown up knowing of. She just had to remember that. And Crystal didn't see enough of a flaw in the plan that she would stop it from happening. Crystal tended to think that was more the responsibility of someone in tactical or security, or maybe command.
Still, she was pleased to see her cadet solidifying the basic plan Kang had come up with. She was even more pleased to find out that she and Tovan would be staying aboard the shuttle. Crystal usually didn't mind helping where she could, but she didn't think she'd have been much use on this particular excursion, except for the piloting.
“Commander Shinsei, their weapons are down, if you can get us closer to the cruiser.” Crystal had a separate navigations console from Tovan, and she trusted that he would help stabilize the Delta Flyer, which he did so quite satisfactorily. She was very impressed with his work and she wished that she could feel some pride in his abilities, but she knew that he had been about this good when he had first arrived.
But there was bad news that came as the away team returned, that the Ambassador was dead. Still, they had what they had intercepted the ship for, even if they didn't have any answers as to why the Ambassador had been abducted and all that. “Tovan, pilot the ship back to the Hanson,” Crystal ordered, after checking with the available senior officers that that was what they wanted to do.
As Tovan started to set the course back to the Hanson, Crystal thought of a possibility for further training. She wasn't fully sure what S'reena would think of it, but Crystal didn't really think the FO could object. It wasn't like Crystal was actually going to slow down the time it would take to return. “Tovan, how well can you pilot the ship without long-range sensors?” Crystal asked. “Seeing as how some of the more common malfunctions affect them, it seems logical to practice without them. But I'll leave it up to you, we can disable the long range readings on your console only, I could still have them to make sure nothing snuck up on us, or we can do something similar in the holodeck when or if we ever get some downtime.”

Konal and T'Pren left sickbay. "Oh, she missed something alright!" Konal said, replaying what the Doctor asked earlier, after they were out of sight of sickbay. T'Pren followed close by, emotionless, as Konal ranted.
"She has no idea what happened there. I don't care about the pharomones... Why would anyone do such a... ," she breathed out heavily.
The Doctor, hopefully was taking care of the situation now that she had returned. Konal had the utmost respect for her, the only friend she has on the ship, and at that, some may classify it only as an acquaintance. Either way, Konal enjoyed her company.
"Poor Mr. Connor, he has been through more than most Starfleet officers have been through in an entire career, let alone a Cadet." T'Pren, as if suddenly awaken from her solemn slumber by the simple utterance of Connor's name, responded.
<T'Pren>
"I can't even think of that Medical Cadet... and that horrible... tribble she has with her." Konal had to get this out of her head.
The science lab was just around the corner, and they arrived quickly. "So, T'Pren - I'll give you a chance to shine on your own." Konal gave her warm smile. T'Pren stood expressionless. "Rrright.... well, why don't you tell me how you would go about testing this gel-pack. It's obviously damaged."

The medication in the hypospray had not been designed to induce unconsciousness, and Stephens hovered in that alpha state between wakefulness and sleep. Of more immediate certainty was his lack of muscle control, and it was this that concerned him, temporary though it might be.
The lights coming back on had registered in his sleepy mind. He was lying on a biobed, trying to open his eyes into slits to adjust to the light. A nurse was hovering about, and he noted with some small pleasure that he had no desire to rip her clothes from her, though he couldn't have done so even if he did. Whatever had been in that earlier hypospray was now apparently dissipating, along with the effects in his brain that had caused such a violent reaction in him.
A deep shame and embarrassment washed over him as he remembered, or rather reviewed what had happened. It was completely unlike him to be physically aggressive with women, he of the charming stories and persuasive tongue. And T'Pren, of all people. Proudly Vulcan, she would not in any case have welcomed touching of any kind that she did not initiate herself. He wanted to cry, and felt an overwhelming need to apologize to her at the first opportunity. He really liked her, and wanted her to know that he had only positive feelings for her, and would never knowingly hurt her. He wanted her to understand him and not be afraid of any future physical contact that they might naturally have.
He tried to move. He didn't feel coordinated, but wasn't completely paralyzed. He opened his eyes a little more, saw the nurse, and tried to smile. He couldn't tell if he actually was smiling, but hoped that he was. When she saw him, she smiled at him in turn.
At long last, something in his day was going well.

Michael was relieved when finally the lights came back on. He'd been locked in his office with three frightened young children who didn't care much for darkness. When the lights finally came back on, as well as his door became unlocked, he assured his triplets that everything would be all right. "Wait here," he told the todlers, while placing them in the playpen he kept in his office. The one-year olds had a habit of crawling to places they would be hard to find in.
The paediatrician and assistant CMO walked into main sickbay to observe the chaos there. Brelev had obviously left sickbay leaving her cadet in charge. A nurse was leaning over what looked to be a cadet and he walked up to her. "He all right?" he asked.
The nurse nodded and explained what had happened. "And how are we feeling now Mr Stephens?" Michael asked as he leaned in to check on the still immobile cadet. "Not planning on jumping any lovely ladies? Good, then I'll remove the restraints that were placed on you."

Tovan was slightly perpelexed by the ambassador's death. It had sounded like he was alive before being beamed aboard the flyer. What had caused the change? He would just have to wait for the security cadets to complete their investigation. "ETA to the Hanson is seven minutes, 27 seconds," Tovan reported in response to Commander Hope's inquiry.
“Tovan, how well can you pilot the ship without long-range sensors?” Tovan heard Crystal ask.
Although initially surprised, Tovan quickly recognized the logic of Commander Shinsei's position. Although piloting a shuttle at impulse without long-range sensors was simple and often practiced, at warp, objects were coming at the ship literally faster than the speed of light. It could be done, but would require absolutely no margin for error. As such, it was not practiced often at the Academy.
"Very well," he replied. "Let's deactivate the long range sensors on my console." These illogical humans sometimes had very logical ideas. He would need his full concentration on mid- and short-range sensors to search for obstacles.
Suddenly, he heard Crystal yell, "Look out!" Tovan swerved the shuttle hard to avoid a stray asteroid, collapsing the warp field and dropping the shuttle out of warp. He quickly reestablished the field and leapt off again, but he had lost 15 seconds on the way to the Hanson. He would have to pay more attention to sensors, and increase power to the deflector.
Four intense minutes later, he finally registered the subspace emanations which indicated the proximity of a warp vessel. "Sensors indicate that we are near a warp vessel. Can you confirm it as the Hanson?" Tovan asked Crystal.

It may or may not be a well known fact that Klingons being a warrior race are not as medically advanced as most other races, This is largely due to their warrior traditions - a Klingon who is wounded is expected to be left to survive or die through his own strength, or to undergo the Hegh'bat, a form of ritual suicide. Taking this into account as well as the fact that Kang who had no previous training in medicine or even any sort of knowledgeof the human anatomy examined the Ambassadors body and finding no sort of wound concluded that the ambassador died of a heart attack.
occ: just keeping it real ;D, if you don't beleive me then name 2 Klingon doctors

“Admiral, the Graeme is hailing us,” Tiffany reported.
“Very well, put them on screen,” Drew ordered, straightening his uniform slightly as he lent forward in his chair. When S’reena’s image appeared on the viewscreen, Drew could tell instantly that something was wrong. S’reena had that look about her she only got when she felt she had failed. In this case, Drew knew it could mean only one thing, as S’reena explained about Ambassador Davis’s death, he was sorry to discover he was correct.
“We should rendezvous with you in thirty minutes,” Drew said, after S’reena had finished, “we can discuss the details then, I would like to see you, Crystal and Methos in my ready room upon your return.”
“Aye Admiral,” S’reena replied, defeat evident in her voice, seconds later she closed the channel, the viewscreen once again showing an image of open space.
Drew let out a deep sigh, and rested his head in his hands. The death of an Ambassador was never a good thing, especially when that Ambassador was due at a peace conference in less than twelve hours.
Drew almost did not notice when Brelev sat in the vacant chair next to him, looking over at his Second Officer and Chief Medical Officer, he gave her a shaky smile.
“Ambassador Davis was kidnapped by a currently unknown ship, who somehow managed to disable the Hanson using what we think was a device installed on the ship while we were at Starbase,” at this Drew handed Brelev a padd that contained details on what they currently knew about the small device they had discovered on deck seven, which was currently not much.
“The alien ship had already managed to disable our shields, as well as cut power to various decks, I therefore decided to send S’reena and an away team out on the Graeme to attempt to recover the Ambassador, from what S’reena just told me they were unsuccessful; Ambassador Davis is dead.”
“I am sorry to hear that,” Brelev replied, “do we have any idea who planted the device on the ship?”
“Konal and her cadets are working on that in the science lab as we speak,” Drew answered, “after I have spoken with the away team, I’ll head down there and see what progress they have made.”
“Whoever said these training missions were meant to be simple?” Brelev asked, leaning back in her chair, “they seem to get more and more difficult every time.”
“Tell me about it,” Drew sighed, also leaning back in his chair, “retirement sure does seem like a good idea sometimes.”

Tiffany spoke to the Admiral, "I've lost the warp engines." She shook her head.
“What do you mean we have lost warp drive?” Drew asked as he left his chair and walked down to the conn, “what else can go wrong on this ship?”
“I don’t understand Admiral,” Tiffany replied, “all systems check out.”
She watched as Admiral Drew looked over the console, and confirmed that Tiffany was correct. According to the computer, everything should have been fine. He then let out a deep sigh. Drew walked over to the Operations station, which was currently being manned by one of Commander Reynolds assistants. Relieving the officer, Drew logged himself into the system, and began running diagnostic programs. Regardless to what the computer said, there was clearly a problem with the ship somewhere.
“Commander Daya, follow me,” Drew said, leaving Ops and moving towards the turbolift door, “Drew to Commander Smith, meet us on deck seven, with a full repair team.”
A short turbolift trip later, Drew was back on the bridge. Taking his command chair, he spoke to Tiffany.
“Cadet, warp drive should be back online any second now, set a course to intercept our shuttle, proceed at full impulse, and take us to warp as soon as you are able.”
"Aye, sir," she said. Tiffany waited to see when they were back online which was not to long. "Sir they"re online now, setting course intercept full impulse, Sir . Tiffany waited until they were able to go to warp. "Proceeding to warp, sir."
Tiffany finally intercepted the shuttle. She was rather proud of herself at how well she was handling the Helm.

Stephens struggled to keep his eyes open. The nurse moved out of his view, and he found that his head, though he tried to move it, didn't respond. He heard voices, and then shockingly, a male face appeared very close to his. "And how are we feeling now, Mr. Stephens?"
Stephens worked his throat. It all seemed so new to him, as if he had just gotten it today for the first time. He made several attempts to be intelligible, while trying to learn where the rest of his muscles were. The best he could do was smile. That, at least, was working.
"Not planning on jumping any lovely ladies?"
A cloud of chagrin passed over Stephens' mind. He wondered if his reputation wuld suffer, and rumors would run around the ship about him being a molestor of pretty Vulcan women. He winced, or thought he did. Maybe it didn't show.
Stephens managed to shake his head slowly, as though he were a puppet being controlled by someone else.
"Good, then I'll remove the restraints that were placed on you."
The man then fumbled with something out of Stephens' view. The shackles were released, and to his surprise, Stephens felt it much easier to move. He still didn't have full control of everything, but it was definitely better.
"Do...Doctor?" Stephens rasped.
"Yes, Cadet Stephens?"
"I...." Stephens had to clear his throat several times. His voice felt fuzzy. "I...need to go. Ahem. I have....ahem...to apologize."
Dr Hope looked at Stephens for a moment. "I think you'll find that getting around won't be as routine as you think."
"Will you...ahem...release me, please?"
"Soon enough. We wouldn't want you hurting yourself, now would we?" Dr Hope laughed out loud then, remembering his conversation with the nurse earlier.
Stephens blushed, remembering his day to this point. And a cloud passed over his mind as he remembered his aborted attack on T'Pren.
Dr Hope made an effort to reassure him that he was only teasing. "Try to sit up, Cadet. We'll try to get your major muscle groups working first."
Stephens found it easier than he had thought it would be. But his muscles still felt like they belonged to someone else. He attempted to move his legs, but the signal from his brain didn't always arrive, resulting in little embarrassing quivers.
Gradually, as they did more, Stephens was able to stand upright with an assist from the bed rail. He felt like a puppet on a bad string. But with practice and continued assistance, he finally was able to move about without help, although slowly and clumsily.
Dr Hope looked satisfied with the results. "I think we can release you now, Stephens. Just be careful and don't hurry. The effect should be dissipated in another few hours. But even then, no jumping lovely ladies." Dr Hope smiled and winked.
Stephens blushed again. "Thank you, Doctor. I'll be careful."

S'reena leaned back in her seat, wondering just how the ambassador had gotten himself killed. It just wasn't possible, the phaser had been fired at medium, wide-beam stun. She herself was still experiencing the nauseating after-effects and she felt as if her limbs were made of rubber rather than skin and bone.
No matter how she evaluated the scene over and over again, she still couldn't understand. When she looked up, she nearly started when the large bulk of the USS Hanson loomed up on their viewscreen. "Cadet Tovan, please dock our shuttle."
(Tovan)
She swiveled her seat around to face Methos and the two security cadets. "Methos, accompany cadets Mek'tor and Crusser as they escort the ambassador's body to sickbay for autopsy. I want Brelev and her cadet to examine it and give me closure on how he died."
(Kang/Wesley)
"I want you two to investigate this matter, leave no stone unturned. Question our prisoner, but treat him well. I'll not hear you laid hands on him, understand? If needed, ask Commander Daya for assistance."
(Kang/Wesley)
As soon as the shuttle had docked, S'reena dismissed officer and cadet to their regular duties, while she went up to the bridge to report their failure to the admiral. She was dreading his reaction expecially since she felt she'd done something wrong somewhere, even though she couldn't fathom what this time. All had gone according to protocol, up until one of the cadets had shot them all. But it had been just a stun setting...
S'reena sighed as she leaned against the wall of the turbolift car, then tugged at her tunic to straighten it and ran her hand through her hair in an attempt to fix her haggard and beaten appearance. She never liked being the bringer of bad news, certainly not if a distinguished diplomat was the source of the bad news.
"Readyroom," Drew said curtly as she entered the bridge and preceded her into his office. "What happened?"
Taking a deep breath, S'reena told him exactly what had happened. "I don't understand," she finished, leaning forward on his desk. She felt so tired now, she could fall asleep then and there. "I really don't understand. He was alive when we beamed him aboard the flyer, and he was alive when Kang and I returned to the shuttle after making sure our passage was secure, taking a prisoner of our own with us. Then we were jumped and one of the cadets fired a phaser, stunning us all. When we regained consciousness, the ambassador was dead. Methos, Crusser and Mek'tor are investigating. I've had the body brought to sickbay for examination."
She sighed again, this time leaning back in her seat. "Why do I feel so responsible?" she questioned, "I've done all according to the book. The ambassador was never alone since we rescued him."

Yes, ma’am.”said crusser.
He was shocked that the Ambassador was dead. He run in his mind the scene over and over. To find a clue, what when wrong.
“It is a honor for me to escort the ambassador's body to sickbay.” Said Crusser.
"I want you two to investigate this matter, leave no stone unturned. Question our prisoner, but treat him well. I'll not hear you laid hands on him, understand? If needed, ask Commander Daya for assistance."
He saw in the scene that he saw in his mind. The Hyperspray that lie on the ground next to the Ambassador.
”Is there a possible used a Hyperspray at the Ammbasador. I have seen one, neer by the ambassador. After I use the phaser” said crusser.

Brelev watched as a sullen looking Commander Hope entered the Bridge and summoned Drew into the ready room. They returned a few minutes later and Brelev gave up the FO chair to the upset looking Romulan.
"Doctor, a word." Drew spoke carefully, whatever had been bothering S'reena was obviously very serious.
"Of course." Brelev headed into the ready room after him.
"The Ambassador is dead." Drew began. "S'reena and her team had rescued him and where returning, someone had beamed on board with them. She says they where jumped, one of the cadets fired out of fear and then they where all unconscious. When they awoke the Ambassador was dead."
Brelev furrowed her brow for a moment. "Cause of death?"
"Unknown, that's what I need you for." Drew explained. "I want a full autopsy, we need answers about this as soon as possible. Pull anyone you need. Security is taking over the investigation, but you will be working as hard as anyone, if not harder."
"Understood. I'll go get started." Brelev waited for a sign that she was dismissed and headed toward sickbay in silence.
The first thing she noticed when she entered was the Ambassador's body laying on the main biobed. Connor was still laying on a biobed of his own, but had calmed down substantially.
"What happened, no one was able to tell us?" Michael Hope asked, gesturing o the cadaver.

Stephens knew that it was important to proceed with all haste to the Science lab, where he imagined that T'Pren was feeling rather chilled concerning any personal feelings she might have toward him. Of course, she was Vulcan, and so feelings would not be uppermost, but she wasn't Vulcan completely. He hated the thought that he might have, and probably did, offend her. He wanted to set that right with her as quickly as possible.
Unfortunately, as had been the theme of the day so far, things were not going as smoothly or as quickly as they ought to have done. Like a first-time gymnast on a balance beam, Stephens felt that the floor was a mere row of tiles, and that one misstep would plunge him into an abyss so deep they'd never find his body. One step at a time. One quivering anxiety-laden step at a time.
There was a crowd at a biobed near where he had learned to walk again. Dr Hope was there, as was the nurse who first attended him. Dr Brelev was there too, as were a host of Security people. The crowd was so thick that he couldn't see who lay upon the bed; Stephens' adrenaline spiked when he realized that it might be someone else he had attacked unknowingly while he was a troglodyte in a candy-shop of lusty and willing women. He panicked for a moment. There was a Security Officer right next to him. But the Officer paid him no mind, concentrating intently on Dr Brelev's talk about the procedure she planned to follow.
Stephens breathed easy. Had they wanted him for questioning, they wouldn't be ignoring him, which they were most assiduously doing. Stephens could ask what had happened, and who the victim was, but it was doubtless information to which he wasn't privy, and if anyone approached him in his unsteady condition, he would naturally have tumbled off into the abyss, unable to get up again.
He glanced toward the sickbay door. A few dozens of steps, maybe, had to be negotiated to be clear and in the corridor. Stephens turned his body in that direction, and, wheedling along like a two-hundred-year-old man, accomplished his mission and set out on the pilgrimage to atone for his most egregious sin.

S'reena found it surprising that Brelev hadn't summoned the away team to sickbay for examination. Or that they had been quarantined, as it was an unknown vessel with unknown contaminants aboard. However, she decided it was Brelev's responsebility and not hers.
Instead, she took the next turbolift car down to the holding cell area to pay their prisoner a visit. When she got there she got a very nasty surprise. The prisoner lay slumped on the cot, a stricken expression on his face as foam had formed at the corner of his mouth. "Hope to bridge. Admiral we have a problem, the prisoner committed suicide. And he has with him another hypospray which resembles the contents of the hypospray Cadet Crusser found lying beside the ambassador."

"......I hope you have learned a lesson from all this." "Yes, Doctor!"-- A short while later-- As Stephens left, Caitlin ran forwards with a tray with medical scanners on. "Does everyone have to crowd around like this?" She asked. <tag brelev> "Okay this is interesting!" said Cati as she scanned the head, "There appears to be a concentration of an unknown foriegn chemical here!" <tag brelev>

"Does everyone have to crowd around like this?" Caitlin asked as she rushed over with a tray of instruments.
"No, not at all. Michael, Ellena, Alanna, please go back to your business I will call you if I need you." Brelev dismissed the rest of the staff. "Alright, I am going to pull up the Ambassador's health record, I want you to begin to examine the body for any wounds, foreign substances, anything that would cause such an immediate death."
Brelev found the ambassador's record quickly, but before she could begin reading it Caitlin interrupted her with a discovery.
"Okay this is interesting!" said Cati as she scanned the head, "There appears to be a concentration of an unknown foreign chemical here!"
Brelev set the record down an hurried over, looking at the scans, she recognized the substance immediately, having used it many times herself. "That's phetetalin, An antibiotic. Why would someone have injected that into him, unless he was being treated before coming on board. Pass me the Resonance Tissue Scanner." Caitlin passed Brelev the instrument and Brelev scanned the cadaver. "No infections, this does not make any sense. Keep examining the body I need to get another look at his record.
<Tag Isis>
Brelev picked up the record and scanned to the bottom where it listed recent treatments. Phetetalin was not an over the counter drug, which meant someone had prescribed it, but the last visit to a doctor listed was almost 4 months ago for a regular check up. Brelev scanned up the record and found her answer. Fatal allergy to Phetetalin and Medicillan. This explained the cause of death, but why was the ambassador not showing any other symptoms? Whoever the murderer was they knew more then the average crew member and this deeply concerned Brelev.

After Brelev and S’reena had both left the bridge, Drew started to tap the side of his chair once again. Despite the rather unfortunate turn of events the mission had taken, he was still considering what response he should send to his daughter. It was unlike him to be so distracted while on duty; especially when there was a possible murder investigation going on, but still he could not stop replaying his daughter’s message in his head.
His thoughts were interrupted by the return of Crystal and Tovan to the bridge both of them proceeded to the helm, which was still being manned by Tiffany.
“We are on course for the conference,” Drew explained, as he walked over to join them, “I have informed them of the Ambassador’s death, but they still want to go ahead as planned.”
“Well, you know what diplomats are like,” Crystal said, as she took one of the extra seats that had been assigned to the helm station.
“Indeed I do,” Drew replied dryly, “I am going to head down to the science lab and see what progress they are making, you have the bridge Crystal.”
In the turbolift his thoughts once again turned to his daughter. She had seemed very desperate in her message, and he could hardly blame her. At the tender age of only twenty one she was about to find herself with a child to rise on her own. That of course also meant that he was about to become a grandfather; that thought had not occurred to him until now. He was going to be grandfather, he now knew what he had to do, but before he could perform his fatherly duties, he had his duty as a Starfleet Officer to perform.
Entering the science lab he found Konal, T’Pren and Connor Stephens all standing around one of the central work stations. The alien device they had discovered was in the centre of the table, from his position Drew could see that several scans were currently being ran on it.
“Report,” Drew said simply as he walked over to the science team, “and I hope it is good news.”
OOC:
Tovan and Tiffany, there is obviously not too much helm themed stuff happening at the moment. I often find that it is important for helm officers to learn what to post when there is little to do other than pressing buttons. I suggest the two of you develop a conversation between your characters, the sort of banter that Tom Paris and Harry Kim used to exchange on the Voyager Bridge.
To Connor and T’Pren, you are free to say what you like about the device; the only requirement is that it turns out to be Breen in origin.

At length, as Stephens went forward, he noted that his steps were coming slightly easier, though he found that he occasionally still had to use the wall for support, and that he was still much slower than the normal person walking the corridor. But he was indeed relaxing, and that was the thing. His fear of abyss-diving was the most worrisome aspect of his pilgrimage to Science.
Gradually, and slowly, and not without the amused stares of passers-by, he made it to the Science lab where Konal Manto and T'Pren were engaged with some kind of device which sat on a table in the center of the room. Immediately, he went up to them.
"Commander, my apologies for not being available to do my work."
<Manto>
He then looked at T'Pren, who seemed to be studiously avoiding his gaze. "T'Pren, to you I owe the deepest apology. I can assure you that I am not like that. I would not willingly hurt you or compromise your integrity and dignity in such a way." Stephens paused. He was sure he was blushing. "I really like you, T'Pren."
She didn't say anything as Stephens ended his statement. But he did detect a slight relaxing of her shoulders, as if a weight had been lifted from them. This was a good sign, he thought. Maybe there was still a chance for a nice relationship here. He hoped so.
<T'Pren>
Stephens then turned his attention to the table, musing on what T'Pren had just told him. It had made him smile, and he contemplated asking her to dinner as a way of making it up to her, but also as a way of just being with her.
"It was found on Deck 7," Manto was explaining. She'd set up various scanners and other instruments to elucidate the nature and secrets of the device.
To Stephens' eye, it was smallish, and this wasn't exactly his field of expertise. But the scans were showing some interesting features. The scanners had been rigged to the StarFleet database, enabling the device to be compared to other devices of similar kind. It would help them identify it, and then they could determine what its purpose might be.
It was readily apparent that the device wasn't Federation Standard, which meant that it had been manufactured outside of the Federation. But that begged the question of how it had gotten here, and who had placed it here.
Stephens looked at T'Pren for confirmation of his thoughts. He was startled when she looked directly in his eyes.

ooc: time for the cadaver to disappear ic: Under everyone's noses, the body of Ambassador Jim Davis suddenly shimmered out of view, shocking everyone present. Michael, who had been standing a few paces away, watching Cadet Stephens wobble out of sickbay, turned as he heard the gasps of surprise. Equally stunned, he stared at the now empty biobed, which previously had borne the dead body of a diplomat. "Where'd it go?" he gasped, as he approached. "This ain't a prank of some sort is it?" (Isis/Brelev) "Good, cause it'd have been a very bad one." At Brelev's nod, he tapped his combadge. "S'reena, we have a problem. We've ah...displaced the ambassador's body. It just...disappeared right from under our noses, as though it was beamed away." "Acknowledged doctor," S'reena replied over the intercom system. "I'll alert Admiral Drew. You, Brelev and Cadet Isis keep working on that cause of death with the data you have. I'm having the body of our captive from that shuttle beamed to sickbay. I just found him dead in the brig. Oh, and I want the contents of the hypospray I've found analysed and compared to the contents of the hypo Mr Crusser found." She paused. "Doctor Brelev, please question the cadet on where he found that hypospray and if he saw whether the dead culprit has actually used it on the ambassador. Also, examine Cadet Mek'tor and Commander Methos. I will stop by later for examination, I understand it may be necessary."(Isis/Brelev/Crusser/Kang) S'reena in her turn activated an intraship transporter and beamed the prisoner and the hypospray to sickbay. Then she tapped her combadge again. "Admiral Drew, please meet me in Ambassador Davis' quarters. We're going to perform a little examination of our own. The ambassador's body has been stolen, perhaps we find some clues that security didn't dig up." (Drew) Several minutes later, S'reena stood in the livingroom of the diplomat's quarters, waiting for her commanding officer to arrive.

Walking down the corridor towards sickbay Kang wondered what the heck was going on, on top of everything else he'd been ordered to report to sickbay for an examination "An examination for what?" he asked himself, after all he felt perfectly fine besides Klingons didn't go to doctors.
Forty five minutes later after recieving no response from repeated hails to his commbadge the ships security department was ordered to locate Cadet Mek'tor and bring him if necessary under force to sickbay. Cadet Mek'tor was found in one of the lower corridors within ten minutes unconscious and barely alive his comunicator along with the ritual Klingon knife every Klingon was known to carry on him were missing. beside him lay two hyposprays one empty and the other half empty.
OCC: Thought I'd throw in a twist for everyone ( whoever knocked Kang out had to use almost two hyposprays, meaning he was injected about five or six times,(I'm guessing at that) how did they do that without Kang putting up a fight after the first injection or any there after.) I won't be able to post for at the most a week so I left this nice little present for everyone.
