Methos was in Daya's office trying to formulate a plan for the investigation team to implement. After a few minutes of hammering out the details, Methos tapped his combadge,
=/\=Col Methos to all security and marine cadets. Report to the security office for orders.=/\=
<Crusser and Kang>
After he got a response, Methos double tapped his combadge, to end the current call and start a new one.
=/\=Lt. Manto, can you spare one of your cadets to come help with the investigation of the dissappearing Ambassador and attacks on Admiral Drew and Commander Hope?=/\=
<Konal>
(OCC more to come once I get a response from all parties!!!)

A junior nurse heard Cadet Crusser page the marine cadet named Mek'tor. With a concerned frown, she walked up to the security cadet and tapped him on he arm, then motioned for him to follow. She led the cadet to a separate biobed then pointed out Kang's unconscious form. "He was found unconscious in a corridor," she explained, "but perhaps you'll want to enlist the help of Lieutenant Arakkis. Since Daya isn't around here in sickbay...Arakkis is over there, he's still recuperating from a nasty fall several months ago but at least he's conscious now...and dying to get something to do. I'm sure Doctor Brelev will allow him to help."
(Crusser, Kang's on LOA.....Arakkis is an NPC of mine)
"However, perhaps your friend will appreciate being brought up to speed, even if he's unconscious. I don't know how the Klingon psyche works, I'm just a junior nurse...I'm sure he'll appreciate still being included. Perhaps you could summarize recent events to him?" She patted Crusser on the arm, then left him to be with the Klingon cadet.
(Crusser)
Meanwhile, Michael Hope stood looking over Isis' shoulder as she was analysing the poison that had come from the dart. "Any progress?" he asked her, watching Brelev approach with an annoyed look on her face.
(Isis)
Meanwhile S'reena lay motionless on one of the biobeds; her eyes were open but they were unseeing. Vitals were dangerously low and her breath only occurred due to the respirator that was attached to her face. A horrified expression was plastered on her face, as she dreamed...
S'reena felt as though she was still falling. She could hear everything that was going on around her, but she was unable to respond. She screamed, except that her body wouldn't respond and nobody heard her scream. She had experienced the sensation of being transported, and being hooked up to a wide variety of medical equipment. She even heard the medical staff and the cadets discuss the possebility of them dying.
"But I am not dead!" she cried, though her cry too went unheard. Instead, she just kept falling, deeper and deeper while she lost sensation in all parts of her body, slowly and gradually. Until finally she ceased hearing what went on in sickbay.
Trapped in her own mind, S'reena was terrified of never waking up again.
Meanwhile, while vital signs were still dangerously low and dropping, the readings on the monitor that checked brainwave activity shot through the roof. The monitor beeped softly, while the important one beeped louder at a steady frequency.

Brelev had spent the last half hour in one of the more hidden Science labs examining the fingerprints and DNA samples from the hyposprays, with little luck. Whoever had attacked the Ambassador had taken every precaution. She tried several approaches, tried to determine species, width of hand, anything that would help narrow the field and had come up with nothing.
Exasperated and impatient she left the lab for sickbay to begin her regular duty sift and see what sort of chaos had ensued while she was gone. She had left cadet Isis in command, and instructed Michael to keep an eye on her. Although she had heard nothing from either of them, she felt that something was wrong. It was not just the odd antsy behavior of the crew members she encountered, but the faint tense sensation that was creeping up her back. It was the same feeling she had back when... back when Habel was killed by Maquis terrorists. She knew something was wrong even before the authorities had contacted her.
Brelev shook the thoughts of her late husband from her mind as she stepped into the turbolift. The lights flickered briefly, yet another reason for her blood pressure to rise. =A=Computer, Deck 5=A= The turbolift sped up dramatically.
Brelev stepped onto deck five and hurried to sickbay. As she came closer voices where getting louder, what was going? Why was Sickbay such a popular place and why was she not notified?
As she rounded the final corner a movement in the corner of her eye grabbed her attention. Someone was opening a Jeffreys tube from the inside, the door opened and they skillfully slid out without a sound. Brelev stood motionless unable to believe her eyes. It was the Ambassador, as alive as anyone she had ever seen, some sort of weapon in his hand. "You...weren't you..."
"Dead, no." The Ambassador raised the weapon and fired. Brelev felt a bite like sting on her neck and collapsed against the wall behind her. The Ambassador fled down the corridor. Brelev gasped for air, feeling her throat tighten and her skin grow numb. She clung to the wall and fought the temptation to close her eyes and sink to the ground. Three feet, two feet, one foot, she was close enough to the Sickbay doors that they slid open, with a final ounce of effort she stumbled through them and into the arms of a startled Cadet Connor Stephens.
Her tongue felt like some foreign object in her mouth that she longed to spit out. "It's... him.... ta...ama..." she clenched her eyes shut and tried to gain control, but found instead that she could not reopen them, and sunk down the floor.
----------------------------
Ellena was startled when the doors to sickbay opened and Doctor Brelev stumbled in. She had been keeping an eye on Commander Hope's vital signs and was noticing a slight improvement. The Admiral was not doing as well, but the dart was not fatal, her sister was keeping an eye on him. When Ellena saw Brelev collapse into Connor's arms she had a pretty good idea of what had happened. "Doctor!" she yelled over the noise of the crowded room. "She's been attacked, Cadet Isis, help me get her on the biobed." They needed the doctor conscious as soon as possible, cadet Isis knew her trade, but Brelev had years of experience.

The first thing Tovan noticed were Drew and Commander Hope on the ground, obviously unconcious.
=^=Sickbay, medical emergency, Transport! Commander S'reena and commander Drew to the sickbay."said Crusser.
As they dematerialized, Tovan quickly checked the area to make sure it was secure. It appeared that the assailant had escaped, and Tovan no longer sensed the presence. As he began checking over the quarters for any indication of where the attacker might have gone, he heard Tiffany speak.
"What do you make of this?" she asked. Tovan took the dart she held out, and examined it.
"It appears to be some form of poisoned dart, likely fired from a mechanical device of some kind. What do you think?" he asked her.
<Tag Tiffany>
"Right, somebody should get this to sickbay for analysis." Cadet Crusser volunteered. As he exited, Tovan and Tiffany continued to search the room. This was becoming fascinating, he thought. First the attack on Cadet Kang, now this attack on the two senior ranking officers. Someone, or something, was loose onboard, and apparently posed a huge threat to security. Furthermore, the use of drugs indicated that the attacker had some knowledge of shipboard systems, at least enough to know that the computer would detect and report any phaser fire.
Suddenly, his Vulcan hearing picked up a slight airflow from somewhere in the quarters. He followed towards the Jeffries tube, and found it was not closed all the way. Pushing it open, he noticed some fabric on the floor, apparently from someone crawling through in quite a hurry.
"Commander!" he called out. "The attacker escaped through here. He is likely still in the Jeffries tubes. Might I suggest we put out an intruder alert and seal all entrances and exits to the Tubes."

About an hour had passed when Stephens decided to check on the progress of finding the antidote to the toxin, as well as just to stretch about a bit. Dr Hope and Cadet Isis were near the front doors of the sickbay, huddled together over a console, looking through the medical database. It appeared that they were making some progress, and Stephens decided not to interrupt. He was swinging about to go back to his examination of the Breen device when the sickbay doors opened and Dr Brelev, nearly unconscious, fell into his arms.
She was speaking to him, but it wasn't entirely clear. "It's....him....ta...ama.." she gasped. Though lingusitically trained, Stephens was unsure what it meant, and the urgency of the moment prevented him from trying to discern it. What was most immediately relevant was the fact that a dart was sticking from her neck, identical in kind to the one he'd already seen. As she closed her eyes and sagged in his arms, he called for a nurse, who promptly came and helped him get her to a bed, activating it. She, in turn, attempted to ascertain the problem, and called for Dr Hope, who imediately came over.
<Tag Hope>
"Doctor," Stephens said, "I don't wish to interrupt you, but it is becoming apparent to me that there is a saboteur running about on this ship, intent on incapacitating senior officers." The doctor continued working as Stephens spoke. "My investigations point to the Ambassador's quarters as a source of some of this, at least. I would think it prudent to dispatch a team to search those quarters to see what could be discovered there. But I don't, myself, have the authority to do that, Sir."
Doctor Hope stopped for a moment, considering what Stephens had said. He believed the young man, and it was clear that these attacks on the staff had to be stopped. "You are right, Cadet Stephens, and I do have the authority as the medical officer in charge." He tapped his comm badge. "Security to the Ambassador's quarters, immediately. Take all precautions against armed intruders. Hope out."*
The nurse had removed the dart from Dr Brelev's neck, whereupon they began to stabilize her and scan her for toxins. The doctor motioned for Isis to come, indicating that she should begin the modeling for Denobulan physiology, and to resume the search for an antidote as quickly as possible.
<Tag Isis>
Having nothing else to occupy himself with here, Stephens found Cadet Crusser again, briefly explaining the latest episode of treachery. "As your last orders were to stay with Cadet Kang," Stephens said, "it's a good idea to continue that. But be alert for anything unusual, and report it to Dr Hope."
<Tag Crusser>
Stephens went back to where T'Pren and Manto were still working. He was a little frightened and very concerned about what was happening.
OOC: I spoke with S'reena and had permission to use her NPC Dr Michael Hope.

T'Pren and Connor interchanged explanations to their instructor about the power source of the Breen 'device'. Konal nodded with approval as they spoke, but the information was going in one ear and out the other. She realized, that even though she was a science officer, she had spent too much time off of a Starship. Cascade power generators were definitely studied as a Cadet, but when your area of study is botany, you rarely use such knowledge. Rather than showing her age, and thus her lapse in memory, she assumed the Cadets knew what they were talking about.
Konal had been witness to the events unfolding, and aside from overlooking and running laboratory tests to confirm the contents of the dart, she felt a little bit useless. She was, however, the ranking officer in sickbay... not seriously injurted, that is... and with so many Cadets coming together, decided she needed to take order. This was going to be difficult, however, because Doctor Hope and already started barking orders. She would have protested, but two things stood in her way- one, she was not a confrontational officer, especially in someone else's sickbay, and two, she agreed with the Doctor's assessment. She did, however, stop him short of calling an intruder alert.
"I think we need a little bit more evidence there is an intruder first. We have a handful of Cadets, most of which we only have a page or two of background information on. It could be someone that is supposed to be on the ship."
Of course, in her mind, she could immediately rule out all those that were hit with darts, and again all those that were in sickbay. That left only a small few.
"I still think security should be sent. Don't belay those orders. We should probably send security, and potentially a science or medical officer in case someone is hurt." Konal hardly knew what the protocol was in this situation, but she kept pushing forward with her ideas, so nobody would suspect any ignorance. Her ideas seemed very plausible.
"Or Cadet?" Connor said, boldly.
"orrr... cadet..." Konal said slowly. "hmmm," thinking of the implications. Connor already had his share of bumps and bruises. The last thing he needed was a dart in his neck.
"I think it would be wise if we let the security team take this one." The Cadets were in training. This wasn't a reason to purposefully put them in harms way.
Konal and T'Pren were still analyzing the device, squeezing the last drops of information they could gain from the device.
"Connor, can you grab the dart that was used on Commander..er.. Doctor.. Brelev?"
"Isis, how is that antidote coming along?" Isis expressed her slow progress.
"T'Pren, I can pretty much handle it here- Isis needs some help, we need to do this quickly! there is a lot at stake here, and this is not a drill."
Konal couldn't stand Vulcans sometimes. Their attitude seemed so lackadaisical when a sense of urgency was needed.
Doctor Hope came over and whispered something into Commander Manto's ear. It was immediately relayed, however, at her discretion.
"It seems that we are going to need to send someone to the science lab, quickly, to get the micro-particle accelerator. And, myself and Doctor Hope need to stay here."
She looked at Crusser. "You will need to go, but I bet you don't know what you are looking for." Konal then turned to Mr. Stephens. "You know what I'm talking about, right?" he nodded. "Can you go with Mr. Crusser?"
Connor, being the eager Cadet he was, obliged, and he and Crusser left. Crusser was expressing his concerns with Stephens as he walked out the door.
T'Pren and Hope, meanwhile, were busy condensating a potential antidote. It would be too strong for humans, but if it worked on the Romulan First Officer, they might be able to use her blood as a diluted antidote for the others. It was a stretch, but as soon as Mr. Stephens and Mr. Crusser returned with the micro-particle accelerator, they would be able to refine a first attempt.
Meanwhile, the Breen device flickered every now and again, and the lights in sickbay would flicker as well in unison. T'Pren and Isis had already set up a level 1 forcefield around the device, so there was nothing they could do further to mitigate the power failures at this time. The most important thing to do was to find an antidote. Nobody needed to be reminded of the consequences if they failed.

Jason was looking at the chaos in the Ambassador's quarters. Cadet's Tovan and Tiffany were searching the quarters, but had yet to find anything at all. Reports from sickbay had said something about a poison dart. Something he found strange, but very useful.
"Commander!" he called out. "The attacker escaped through here. He is likely still in the Jeffries tubes. Might I suggest we put out an intruder alert and seal all entrances and exits to the Tubes."
"Cadet Tovan, Porter take these," Jason said as he handed them phasers. "Bridge seal all entrances and exits from this Jefferies tube. I want an intruder alert sounded as well. Inform all secuirty personal to begin a search on this deck."
The alarm immeidately followed Jason's orders. It was a long time since Jason had done this, but he knew it would come back to him in no time.
"Cadet Tovan, you'll be point, with your Vulcan hearing it should give us an advantage," Jason said," Cadet Porter you will bring up the rear. Also don't hesitate to fire, the phasers are set to stun so no one will die if they are hit by them."
With his instructions given the three of them entered the Jefferies tube.

"Of course, Commander. Mr Crusser, this way, please." Stephens then directed the cadet from sickbay as they went to the turbolift and on to one of the smaller labs where these types of equipment were housed.
In the turbolift, Stephens looked at the Security/Tactical cadet. He looked as tired as Stephens felt, and Stephens wondered what his day had been like thus far. Stephens smiled ruefully as he thought about his own day--nothing like jumping right straight into an adventure from the first moment!
"Mr Crusser, do you know what a microparticle accelerator is or does?"
The cadet looked blank, like he had no idea. It was natural that he wouldn't, after all. Such devices were not normally a part of security/tactical training, although such devices were a part of propulsion systems used on some experimental ionic-powered craft in the late 21st century. Unfortunately, at that time, the ability of these craft to generate enough solar heat limited their ability to sustain long flights in deep space. However, it was discovered that the accelerators had a significant use in medicine and science.
"A micro-particle accelerator, after several generations of design, are portable devices that separate electrons from their constituent atoms, enabling spectrometer analysis of the original element being tested. The negatively-charged electrons remain behind as the positively-charged protons in the nucleus are swept through a heating source contained in the accelerator. The same is done from the other side, with a known element like hydrogen. The rapid collision of the two protons gives a specific reading, allowing the first element to be identified spectrographically."
<Tag Crusser>
Stephens laughed softly at the cadet's confusion. "I'm sorry, Cadet. I guess I got a little carried away with my explanation there. Let me make it simpler. The accelerator we are getting will allow us to identify components for a recipe for a specific antidote to the poison contained on the darts. It is specific enough to fine-tune for species' differences in blood and neural chemistry. We'll be able to neutralize the poisons in those officers back there, so that they'll be able to recover."
They had reached the science lab where the accelerator was kept. As they entered, Stephens noticed that Cadet Crusser had immediately assumed a security officer's stance, his eyes scanning the room quickly, phaser drawn. While that simple change gave Stephens some comfort, it also made him aware again just how dangerous this mission had become.

Konal saw Crusser and Stephens return with the accelerator, and in good time too. Dr. Hope had just finished purifying the last bits of a possible antidote.
"Mr. Crusser, can you bring the accelerator over here?" The tactical Cadet complied, mumbling about how heavy the device was. Konal would have asked Cadet Stephens to bring the device over, but he was already rubbing his arm and expressing disbelief about how something so small could weigh so much. With all the heavy elements needed for the accelerator, the density of the object was significant.
Connor had found Isis and T'Pren, and Isis already was administering an anti inflammatory medication to the arm of the science cadet. This time, however, the medication was warranted. It reminded Konal that she still needed to file an unofficial report with Commander Hope about the prior altercation Cadet Isis created. Konal looked over to the other side of the room. At least the tribble was still contained.
Isis then joined Cadet T'Pren, along with Dr. Hope, in trying to adapt the power intake to the accelerator to the main power conduit in sickbay. It needed to be tapped into the main line since it drew so much energy.
Doctor Hope looked around for more help. "Cadet Isis, I know you've done this before in your Starfleet training. Can you show Cadet T'Pren how the accelerator will work while Cadet Stephens helps me hardwire this accelerator in?"
A thump was heard against sickbay wall, furthest from the door. "I think someone is in the Jeffries tube!" Konal blurted out. "Mr. Crusser, since you are probably trained the best in security here, stand guard nearest that hatch." Crusser complied, asking for help from Konal herself. He handed her a phaser, and explained to her how to use it. The unlikely tactical officer, Konal, and the tactical Cadet, Crusser, stood guard while the others finished the first try at an antidote, and administered it to Commander Hope.
It would only be a few minutes before they would be able to tell if it worked, and those few minutes seemed like an eternity, especially when the sounds from the Jeffries tube were getting louder and nearer.

ooc: Konal you mean S'reena rather than Michael right? Who the antidote is administered to? Im going on the first assumption.
ic:
Michael and Isis had worked very hard over the last few hours to purify their antidote, while the condition of the three affected officers deteriorated with every minute that passed. Even though she was last struck, Brelev was now on full life-support with a partial systemic failure in progress.
Drew's condition was deteriorating too but at least he was still breathing on his own accord. Michael had taken the precaution of administering oxygen by means of a mask that was slipped over the admiral's face. S'reena's monitors however were giving a steady condition now. Her systems had shut themselves down, though brainwave activity was still off the scale.
Having seen this in his wife before, Michael knew she had turned into herself, preserving her energy. He also knew she was terrified, especially since she was also on full life support. Glancing back at Isis and Konal, who was now brandishing a phaser and standing back with Crusser near a hatch, he hesitated briefly.
"It should work doctor Hope," Isis assured him, sounding eerily calm for a change. Beside her T'Pren nodded her consent. The Vulcan had been of tremendous help with her knowledge of scientific processes in certain chemicals. Michael once again plainly felt that he was out of his element here acting as a full doctor and surgeon.
"Let's hope so," Michael murmured before injecting his wife with a dose of the antidote. Almost instantly, her readings improved tremendously and seconds later, she stirred. Nurses approached to hold her down and calm her, while Michael moved over to Drew. Carefully he applied the hypospray to his throat and shot the needed dosage home.
(drew your cue)
Next, Michael moved over to Brelev and repeated the procedure. Nothing happened, no change of readings but the continued falling of measurements. "Isis! T'Pren!" he roared from the other side of sickbay, calling for the attention of the two cadets. "Get working on this again! Brelev's not responding, it must be her Denobulan physiology. Get back to the lab and don't get back here until you've got a cure for the doctor!"
Meanwhile, the two nurses had helped sit S'reena up. The Romulan looked about her in bewilderment and terror. "We..." she started, then vomited into a tray one of the nurses hastily held before her. "Drew.." she finally whispered, looking sideways. The admiral looked pale, but he looked to be alive.
"He'll be fine," Michael assured her, while easing her back, "so will you. Now please rest. Security is after whoever shot the both of you, and doctor Brelev. Now, please go to sleep or I'll give you something so you will." He motioned towards Connor, and Kang, who had surprisingly woken up and joined them.
The Klingon looked a little dazed but otherwise healthy. "Good to see you back up again Cadet Kang," Michael said. "Both of you keep an eye on admiral Drew and Commander Hope, while I go see what all the noise is about overthere."
Michael walked over to Crusser and Konal. "Need any help?"
(Crusser...what's behind that hatch please...and how do we stop it/him/her)

As the three entered the Jeffries tube, Tovan kept his hearing attuned to movement nearby. Although it was very distant, he could here someone moving far away. As the Jeffries tubes had been sealed off, he assumed that it was the intruder. "This way," said, motioning to the others. As they moved closer, he heard the sound of boots on ladder steps, meaning the intruder was climbing down.
As they followed the sound downwards, Tovan began the discipline for going into battle. Although Vulcan's found conflict to be illiogical, they also recognized the need to prepare themselves against those not so bound. He noticed that Cadet Porter seemed to be doing very well in her composure, although she was still exhibiting some signs of nervousness. As they bottomed out on deck 5, heard voices nearby. "Come on!" he said, and took off in pursuit. As they neared sickbay, he heard thumping and moving.
"The intruder is right through there," he said, pointing around the corner.

Kang sat on the edge of the biobed wondering what had happened and how he'd gotten here, looking at the time he noticed he'd been out for several hours. Although having no clear understanding of what the heck was going on Kang heard the orders to guard Admiral Drew and Commander Hope, so being one to follow orders thats exactly what he did. Walking over to stand between the beds that his two charges were on, Kang then stood there, arms folded with meanest look he could manage (which was pretty scary) on his face, after about five minutes Kang decided to state the obvious "Wouldn't this be more effective if someone gave me a weapon, seeing as I lost mine."

Crystal watched over the automated piloting, and noticed that the Hanson had come fairly close to the ambassadorial conference location. The Hanson dropped out of warp. The computer, when asked, continued to say that Admiral Drew and Commander Hope were still unconscious, or, more recently, still under emergency medical supervision. Crystal would have contacted Doctor Brelev, only the second officer was also apparently unconscious. None of this, plus the ambassador's missing body, really spoke of a readyness to go to the conference and explain everything. Crystal wasn't quite sure what should be done, there was a reason she had absolutely no aspirations of being promoted beyond her current level. Rather than initiating or causing events or circumstances, she spent most of her time reacting to them.
So the way she chose to react to this particular situation was to direct the Hanson not to proceed on the power of impulse. And to contact the conference place. She opened a channel with them, but she wasn't just sure who she was addressing. “This is to inform you that the Hanson has encountered a few difficulties and we'll be staying out here until those difficulties are sorted out.”
“Which ambassador are you ferrying?” the person on the other side of the screen asked.
“Umm, Jim Davis,” Crystal replied, feeling guilty that she hadn't yet told them that the ambassador was dead.
“Do you require assistance?”
“Not at the moment.” Crystal answered, then cut the channel. She had temporarily left the navigation station so she could talk to the person aboard the conference station, but now she wasn't sure if she should stay near the CO chair. After all, she didn't need to pilot the ship right now. But it turned out she felt too awkward when she was just sitting, without being able to do much, so she resumed her place at the navigation's console.

Stephens had been surprised by the weight of the particle accelerator as he carried it from the science lab back to sickbay. Knowing theoretically how they worked did not imply that he had ever used one, nor that he had personally handled one. It was already feeling like a trudge of the mighty by the time he and Cadet Crusser returnd to sickbay.
It was suggested, and Stephens agreed wholeheartedly, that Crusser take the device to where Dr Hope was waiting with T'Pren. Cadet Isis drew up, brandishing a hypospray, and Stephens rather forcefully cringed, expecting to soon be prone upon a biobed with the Admiral and the Commander, suffering indignities to his physical systems and adding to his list of maladies which had already grown too long.
But it was an appropriate treatment this time. There was no paralysis or screaming need to drag someone off to a cave. The look on his face must have been somewhat comical, because Isis erupted into laughter and winked at him, then sauntered off to join Dr Hope.
In a moment his arm felt fine again, and Stephens took the time to see what had occurred since he left with Cadet Crusser. Commander Manto had a phaser in her hand, looking rather uncertain and holding the weapon quite gingerly, as if it might go off unexpectedly as she joined Crusser at the Jefferies tube hatch. Commander Hope had arisen, but had deposited the contents of her stomach onto a tray that a nurse was holding near her. Admiral Drew was breathing and seemed only to be asleep. Dr Brelev, however, was not recovering, and there was a considerable frenzy to redo the antidote to a more exacting formula for her Denobulan physiology.
Cadet Kang had arisen as well, and stood triumphantly between the beds of Admiral Drew and Commander Hope. He had that frightening Klingon sneer as he stood there, looking about. This went on for some minutes as the refined antidote was determined upon. Slowly, the Klingon's sneer went off his face, to be replaced by a questioning look as he asked no one in particular:
"Wouldn't this be more effective if someone gave me a weapon, seeing as I lost mine?"
As everyone else was either busy or unconscious, Stephens went to find another phaser with which to supply the large and irascible cadet.

"Need any help?
"Commander Hope, Iam happy to see, But whe can handelt it"said Crusser.
"Good to see you Kang, Yes, Cadet Stephens, you to Cadet Kang. Come with me at the Jefferson Tube." said Crusser.
The tree cadets walked to the Jefferson Tube. They stand in front of the jefferson Tube.
"Stephens to the right of the tube. Kang to the left of the Tube. I will on the front of the Tube.

Konal handed her phaser, which she probably wasn't wielding correctly, to Mr. Stephens. She had trained with phasers, but not with the latest of models... and she never did feel comfortable holding one. When Kang came over, with Connor Stephens, Konal quickly gave up her position.
And not a moment too soon. Crusser, tired of waiting for impending doom, ripped off the hatch cover, and upon the sight of the Ambassador, immediately fired. The other two Cadets fired when they realized the Ambassador was shooting at their fellow Cadets. Konal was thankful she gave up her security detail just in the nick of time. It was unfortunate, however, that the Cadets had to experience this on their first official outing.
When the phaser fire stopped, without the Ambassador firing a shot into sickbay, there was no celebration. Instead, Crusser and Kang pulled the seemingly dead Ambassador out of the tube, while Commander Manto helped Cadet Stephens helped Cadets Tovan and Porter into sickbay.

Methos decided to go for a walk, seeing as how his cadet was in sickbay. He slowly made his way to the bridge. As the turbo-lift doors opened to reveal the bridge, Methos saw that Crystal had just cut a comm line to the conference personnel.
"Is there something wrong, Commander?" He asked.
After her reply, the ensign manning the Ops station informed them of phaser fire in sickbay. He nodded and tapped his comm-badge.
=/\=Methos to Daya, have a security team meet me in sickbay. You might want to come as well. There was phaser fire there.=/\=
On his way off the bridge, Methos grabbed a phaser and entered the turbo-lift.
"Deck five," he said.
A short trip down the shaft, revealed a calm deck five. Methos arrived at the doors to sickbay shortly before Daya and his team did. Methos nodded and they all entered sickbay. They saw Cadets Stephens, Kang, and Crusser helping Commander Manto pull the other two cadets into sickbay.
Methos saw the prone body of the Ambassador, who he thought was dead, laying not far from a Jefferies tube entrance. After he saw that the team was no longer needed, Daya dismissed them. Methos and Daya walked up to Commander Manto and inquired as to what the situation was and if she would like a couple more pairs of hands.
(OCC: I bet the good doctor doesn't want to see this much activity in sickbay for a long time....)

Nurse Ellena had taken the unconscious Doctor Brelev into the safety of the CMOs office where she continued to work on the antidote for the poison with the assistance of Cadet Isis. Brelev's physiology had proved difficult at times in the past, then again it had been useful as well.
They tried to tune out th noise of conversation with little luck. This failed entirely when phaser fire broke out. "Cadet, do something!" Ellena begged. It was times like this she missed her sister, who had the luck of being in bed with a cold not worth treatment.
"Do what?" Cadet Isis asked, programming the latest version of the antidote into th hypospray.
"I..." Ellena had no clue, this was very much out of her field. "Take a look, find out what happened. Give me the hypo I'll keep trying here."
Cadet Isis handed Ellena the antidote and proceeded carefully out into the main ward. Ellena pressed the hypospray to Brelev's neck which bore the signs of other attempts. This form of trial and error was tricky, since any failed attempt could do more damage then good, thankfully they had been lucky so far.
------------------
Brelev's eyes fluttered open and she could recognize some version of a face in front of her. As her vision cleared she identified it as one of the identical nurses, whom she had trouble telling apart on a good day never mind when she felt like she had been ran over by a heard of Terran elephant. Her mind drifted back to what she could last remember, and a feeling of earnest panic broke to the surface. "The attacker is..." she paused to catch her breath.
This pause was long enough for Isis to return and finish the sentence instead. "The Ambassador, they just pulled him out of the Jeffrey's tube, he has the dart gun."
"What she said." Brelev sighed and lay her head back down. "Why am I in the office? What have you done to my sickbay?" She sat up again and peered out the window at the general throng. "This is not Ten -Forward, Cadet get these people out of here!"

OOC: It seems that everyone forgot about me, IC: He grunted as he tried to avoid the phaser fire from the person they were pursuing. He still hadn't seen his face and when he was about to issue his order everything was over. He heard the voices of the other cadets and some of there instructors. They quickly exited the jefferie tube and attended to the now revealed unmoving ambassador. Jason was more than surprise to see almost a dozen people in sickbay. "Well it seems that I'm just running into everyone today," Jason said as he locked the access port. "Colonel, Commander what exactly is going on?" Jason asked hoping that he and all the cadets would become fully aware of the situation.
